[Gary] I was at work, and I noticed
it had these thick concrete walls,
so I looked into it, and apparently,
in the '60s, 1,500 post offices
were designated fallout shelters
to protect from nuclear bombs,
and radiation, and EMPs.
Mine was one of 'em.
[gentle music playing]
It needs work.
We'd need time to plan,
but I think we could live there
with five to 10 people
f-for years, if we had to.

We're safe here.
We must stay inside for the next 21 days
to avoid any potential radiation,
and then this post office
will be our home
for the next three to five years

to get her to recover.
She was ordering us around

- It's only good for about a year
under normal conditions.
We were near an army base.
They used something
called renewable diesel.
It's good for about 12 years.
Worked like a charm until we used it up,
so we stopped here to refuel
at the air reserve base nearby.

I learned early on
that you have to hold on to the things
that make you feel like you.
