Yes or No

1
- [Sam] Get ready for a Game Changer.
Tonight's guests: all time
Game Changer champion,
Brennan Lee Mulligan.
- Hello.
- [Sam] All time Game Changer
participant, it's Zac Oyama.
(laughs)
- That is correct.
- [Sam] And all time Game Changer fan,
it's Ally Beardsley.
- I am a fan.
This is a great show.
- [Sam] And your host, me.
I've been here the whole time.
(laughs)
This is Game Changer, the only game show
where the game changes every show.
I'm your host Sam Reich.
I'm joined today by these
three lovely contestants.
Now, you all understand
how the game works.
- No.
- No, the rules have not been explained.
- That's right.
Our contestants have no idea what game
is it they're about to play.
The only way to learn is by playing.
- [Sam] The only way
to win is by learning,
and the only way to begin is by beginning.
So without further ado, let's begin.
Players, we're going to play
a game called, "Yes or No."
The question every round
is merely, "Yes or no,"
and you will win points based on whether
you are correct or
incorrect in that round.
Each of you will have one
opportunity throughout this game
to take me backstage and to tell me
what you think the rule is.
If you are right, you win
and if you are wrong, you lose.
One chance whenever you want, you say so.
Are you ready?
- Ready.
- Yeah, yeah I'm ready.
- Your first question is:
yes or no?
Brennan.
- Yes.
- Zac.
- There's not like a, it's just
You don't play a sound effect or anything?
(both laugh)
- We're in the data collection
portion of the game.
- Yeah we are.
(Sam laughs)
- Yes.
- Zac, oh that's a yes.
- [Zac] I'll say yes.
- No, just for data.
- That is a no for Ally.
- The answer to this
particular question is no.
- That's a point for Ally Beardsley.
- All right.
- Moving on to question two.
- Yes or
no?
- I recommend that we
keep our answers the same
for this question to see
if the questions change.
Because if we change our
answers and it comes back
with a different result
- So have some sort of control group?
- Have a control group,
and in this instance
we can't control the question,
but we can control our answers.
- Okay.
- We know nothing about
the question, though.
- If we right now go
"Yes, yes, no," again,
and then Sam says, "the
correct answer is yes,"
we will know that these are
not senseless repetitions.
- [Brennan] Or they
could each be different.
- Are you timing how long we talk about it
in between questions?
- (laughs) If only because
there's a wrap time.
- All right, I'm gonna
go ahead and say yes.
- It's a yes from Brennan.
- I'm going to say yes?
- And I'm going to say no.
- What?
- Yeah, it's the exact same answers.
- Oh, oh I thought-
- The same answers we gave last time.
- I thought you said
everyone say yes this time.
I wasn't paying attention.
God, I'm not good.
(laughs)
- That was a yes, and a yes, and a no.
The answer in this case is no.
That is another point for Ally Beardsley.
- I like this control group.
(Sam and Ally laugh)
- Do we wanna do all three
yes's to this next one?
- I mean does it change at all?
Now I'm looking more at the question.
- Let's hear how he asks it again.
- Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- Ready, gang?
- There's just so much it could be.
- (British accent) yes or no?
- (Australian accent) I say yes.
(laughs)
- Just blank.
It's just blank up there, but
it looks like I'm thinking.
(laughs)
- A vast wasteland in Zac Oyama's mind.
- [Sam] Tumbleweeds
- [Zac] Nothing's happening.
- A colorful unicorn skips
across a desert plain.
- It's white.
It's just a white-
(Sam laughing)
- [Zac] Just a regular horse.
Did you say yes?
- I did say yes.
(Australian accent) I said yes.
- (British accent) Then I'm gonna say no.
- I'm also gonna say no.
Is it this simple?
- The answer in that
particular case was no.
That's a point for Zac
and a point for Ally.
- There he is.
Of course you need that.
(accordion music)
(laughs)
- Non.
(laughs)
- British and now French.
- Might have been Australian.
- [Sam] Well British and now mime.
- No.
- Non.
- Three no's.
Across the board.
A non, a non, and a non.
And yet the answer in this case was yes.
That is no points for
this particular round.
(buzzer)
- Okay, okay.
- Do we wanna see what happens if we all
give it a yes on the next one?
- Yeah, let's do it.
- (clears throat)
- Because it's not no every time.
- Yeah, that would have been way too easy,
but I just wanted to rack up
some points with that theory.
- Rule it out, yeah.
- Players, the question is:
yes
(laughs)
Or no?
- You just flash us.
(laughs)
- I will answer yes.
- Yes.
- Three yes's across the board.
Yes's as far as the eye can see.
And yet not the answer to
this particular question.
(buzzer)
Don't worry, gang, we're at the beginning.
I'm sure as we go
- Great.
- So the first one was
a regular yes or no.
- He's saying something different
before every question, too.
It's like "okay, guys," or it's
"the next question, y'all," or
- Did you already ask one?
- No.
- [Zac] Oh, okay.
- But I'm about to.
- Does that count?
- Ready, yes or no?
Yes or no?
(chanting) Yes or no?
Yes or No?
(laughs)
- You guys are having a real good time
making chumps out of us.
- (whispers) It's a pretty good time.
- I'm gonna go no.
- I'll say no as well.
- I'm gonna say yes.
Because I don't know what's happening.
The answer in that particular case
is yes.
That's a point.
- [Sam] Does it for Zac Oyama.
- All right, what do we got?
- Zero.
Two.
And three.
Both times that we've done all three
it's been the other one, correct?
- Yes.
So maybe, there are only two points
available to be given out per question.
- Listen closely players.
