When did you realize
Lieutenant JG Reed was missing?
At roll call after we got
into port. He didn't show.
We initiated a search of the
ship, but found no sign of him.
We were worried
he might have fallen overboard,
so we called in the Coast Guard,
but their search came up empty.
When's the last time

Hey, did Randy tell you

Yeah. Yeah, he's gonna practice on us

Yeah. He wants you to bring Diane.
He didn't want to ask you himself

and he needs a female opinion

- You're going, aren't you?
- Yeah.

They move stolen military hardware
- through naval cargo routes.
- PRIDE: Yeah.
I told 'em. See,
it's right here in the memo.
Well, then, how about you quit griping
and expand on that, probie?
Well, I inspected the ship
from top to bottom.
All the cargo was accounted for,
and there was no indication of
any naughty stuff on the ship.
So you were wrong
about the cargo manifest
in Reed's pocket meaning something?
"Wrong" is a harsh word

I was just asking a question.
PRIDE: Yeah, I know.
And I was just leaning in

So it's possible
that our dead sailor has nothing

VERA: Okay, so, lot of weird energy here

What is the information we can share?
Randy's at Forensics.
The manifest was pretty waterlogged,
but they're seeing if they can
pull anything off it.
- There you go, Lala. Good.
- Excuse me a minute.

and I'll be done

Okay, great.
Vera, what else you got for us?

that I have been communicating
with an agent from the L.A. office.
He's a numbers expert, auditing.
Think it's a good idea to

of a skilled comedian,
they could be mined for humor.

PHIL: No, I know that, Woody,
but why are you bringing science

through the lyophilizer
to stabilize the fibers
and, uh, shot them with infrared film.
And I actually ran the lyophilizer,
but I'm not gonna call him out on that

to have really triggered him.
The last time he was this pissed,
two people ended up in the ER.
What are you whispering about, Woody?

WOODY: These are all
Transport Control Numbers,
one for each pallet of cargo
loaded on the ship.
PHIL: Yeah, when we checked
the ship's official manifest,
the pallets
that are circled weren't on it.
- Someone made a fake manifest?
- Yeah.
And basically made
six pallets disappear.
Reed was the supply officer.
Maybe he figured that out,
and someone killed him
- to keep him quiet.
- Yeah.
Funny stuff, right?
Maybe put that in your little act.
WOODY: Okay, Phil, take a breath, man.
No one needs to get hurt here.

okay?
- WOODY: That's your opinion.
- It's a fact.

the manifest is your killer.
What was in the missing pallets?

Yeah, Vera, that makes sense

We should pursue that route.
