[VINCE] Hey.
Team picture of the West
Coast Bhangra Warriors
at last year's competition.
It was posted anonymously today.
- It was captioned
- "I'll kill you all."
And Gillian has it?
Yeah, we sent it to her.
Here, let me show you.
That's the team captain, Kiran Gulati.
She had a seizure triggered
by anaphylactic shock.
She's en route to Surrey
General as we speak.
What about the fatality?
Simran Sandhu.
She's this way.
[♪]
Tenille?
We know anything yet?
Unfortunately, no.
No external evidence of injury.
One minute, she's
dancing, and the next
Is there a connection between
Simran's death and Kiran's seizure?
Well, I won't know
until I run a tox screen
and do the autopsy on Simran.
I'm gonna coordinate with Surrey General
once they get Kiran's results back.
Did either of these two girls
have a history of epilepsy
and maybe a severe allergy?
Not according to their parents.
Then what would make
them collapse like this?
I won't know until I
get my tox screen back.
HVAC tested the air
it's all clear, so it's not airborne.
Okay.
The rest of the team's
parents are arriving.
Gabinski's getting them to sign
consent forms for questioning.
- Where's the Warriors team now?
- Upstairs.
We've contained all the
competing teams separately.
Well, the person who did
this and sent the threat,

Good afternoon, ladies.
Can I ask you to take a seat?
I'm Detective Sohal.
This is Detective Kalaini.
Hi.
We know that there are no words
for what you must be feeling right now,
and we're so sorry.
Detective Kalaini and I are gonna do
everything that we can
to find some answers.
We're gonna ask each
of you some questions,
once we get consent from your parents,
but until then,
is there anything that you can tell us
about this photo that was posted?
[FAINT WHISPERING]
Do you girls have something
you'd like to share?
We saw that picture
that says that we'll die.
- Is that true?
- Is Simran really dead?
What about Kiran? Will she die too?
[♪]
Kiran's in the hospital right now,
and they are giving her
the best care that they can.
[QUIET SOBBING]
We know that this is scary
and we have paramedics on standby,
in case anything happens,
and we will get to the bottom of this.
This is a very sensitive matter for us.
We know that the last
time there was a target
on the Bhangra community,
that the CFPC dropped the ball,
and I will make sure that
that doesn't happen again.
[♪]
Being part of a Bhangra group
is like being part of a family.
Bhangra is supposed to bring joy,
it's supposed to bring us together.
Is there a way that we
can do this together?
We need to know
everything that you know.
Let's start with who took this photo.
I don't know who posted it today,
but Gavan, our academy owner,
she takes all our photos and videos.
Yeah, I took this photo,
right before we went in to compete
at the Pacific Coast
Competition last year.
Does anyone else have this photo?
Everyone does.
I send it out to students,
parents, teachers,
they, then, get posted
to the Academy's socials.
Is there anything that you can tell us
about Kiran or Simran?
Kiran is a brilliant dancer.
She's relentless, driven,
and she always wants to win.
And so she's the best
out of all of them?
Uh technically speaking?
Yes.
[SABRINA] There are technical dancers,
and then there are
dancers who have nakhra
- it's charm.
- [ZAK] Ahh.
They're the ones the audience loves.
And Simran?
What about her?
[VOICE CRACKS] Simran, um
Simran was an easy dancer.
She
She was never any fuss.
She didn't have a competitive edge.
Unlike the other girls?
[CHUCKLES SOFTLY]
L.A. scouts were coming tonight
to recruit dancers for
Yuvraj's world tour.
Yuvraj, the singer?
Yeah. Yeah, some of the newer girls
let this stuff cloud
what Bhangra stood for,
but the opportunity to go to L.A
it's it's a once-in-a-lifetime dream.
And so it's possible one of
them could be behind this photo?
Maybe
if they wanted it bad enough.
[GILLIAN] Sabrina, I think
I've got a hit on something.
All right. Thanks, Gavan.
We'll keep you posted.
Yeah, go ahead, Gillian.
I looked into the threat photo.
It was posted from an
encrypted Toronto address.
It's a-a blocked VPN
I'm still working on that
but what I did find
was something on the
academy social account.
Wait, does it have anything to do
with last year's Pacific
Coast competition?
Funny you should ask.
I found photos from that competition.
It looks like between the tech-dress
and trophy ceremony,
someone gave Kiran Gulati a black eye.
There's a Reddit thread from last year.
Uh, it turns out there
was a fight between
a member of the Dance
Beast and the Warriors.
Why didn't she mention that?
Maybe because she didn't know?
Oh, come on.
Bhangra is everything to these girls.
If I'm Kiran and I get into a fight
that's gonna get me benched
right before a competition,
I wouldn't tell the academy owner.
- Hmm.
- Hey, Gillian?
Any word on which Dance
Beasts she fought with?
Yeah, there's a couple
of names floating around,
but the consistent one is "Jugni".
Let's go find Jugni.
I can't believe Simran's gone.
She was chill.
I-I liked her.
And what about Kiran?
Did you like her too?
You don't know Kiran like I do.
She's a sneaky bully.
She'd make you believe
you're her best friend,
but it was all an act.
She'd be plotting behind
your back, and turn on you
and turn everyone against you.
Can you tell us about
this assault last year?
I didn't "assault" her.
Uh hitting someone is assault.
It wasn't just me!
Kiran did this to so many people.
She taunted you,
made you feel like you
did everything wrong.
Last year, right after the tech dress,
she cornered me.
Told me I needed to lose weight
so my jumps could be higher.
I hated it,
and I wanted to teach her a lesson,
so I hit her.
But it didn't matter,
'cause she still won.
[SABRINA] Maybe that's why, this year,
you decided to take down her whole team?
And make it look like
it wasn't targeted,
that way, you'd have a
chance to go to L.A., not her.
Are you kidding me?
I wanted Kiran to be
picked to go to L.A.
That way, I'd never have
to see her face again.
[♪]
She doesn't like Kiran,
but I don't see her committing murder.
Doesn't sound like a vendetta
more like she'd just figured
out Kiran's mind games.
Hey, Sohal. Slow down.
Who the hell would do this?
[PHONE BUZZES]
All right, tell me you
got something, Tenille.
I did
but not what you'd think.
I found an unusual bruise
on Simran's back,
between her shoulder blades,
around what appear to
be a puncture wound.
A puncture wound?
Yeah, so I called Surrey General,
and it turns out Kiran
has the same bruise forming
between her shoulder blades.
I'm sending you a photo now.
- [TEXT CHIMES]
- Same puncture wound.
[ZAK] So they were
poisoned by injection?
[TENILLE] Well, if they
were, their symptoms
aren't consistent with
arsenic or cyanide.
But whatever it is, it
came from a syringe, twice.
Yeah, there's a chance
it's still on the premises.
- All right, thanks, Tenille.
- Yeah.
We need to search everyone's bags.
[♪]
[ZIPPING]
We're good to go.
No, I wanna go home. You
can't hold me hostage.
I need to see your bag, sir.
Yeah, I need to see your warrant!
It's all right. It's
not gonna take long.
- Hey! Relax!
- Hey, sir! Take it easy! Watch out!
- [SHOUTS] Zak!
- Hey!
Hey. Are you okay?
I think you and I need
to have a little chat.
Let's go.
[TESTILY] I had it under
control, Detective Sohal.
Let's get you a seat.
What's your name?
Pinky.
Are you okay? Does anything hurt?
This must be so hard,
to think you're competing tonight,
and then, all of a
sudden, this is happening.
Thank you.
Pinky, whose bag is this?
[♪]
[INDISTINCT EXCHANGE]
These look familiar, Amandeep?
I swear to God, they're not mine.
Well, that's funny, 'cause
they fell out of your bag.
Were you fighting Officer Asad
because you didn't
want him to find them?
I wasn't hiding anything.
I just wanted to go home.
Amandeep, Simran Sandhu is dead,
Kiran Gulati is in the
hospital fighting for her life,
and both of them had injection marks.
- And you think I did it?
- Well, if you didn't,
you need to explain why
those were found in your bag.
I don't know!
Seriously, I don't know!
Maybe someone put it there
and they're trying to frame me.
Look, I've never touched
them or seen them before.
Can't you fingerprint it, or something?
Okay, Amandeep, let's say that
these aren't your syringes.
Any idea who they belong to?
- Who would try to frame you?
- I don't know
[SIGHING] but there's
all kinds of stuff backstage.
It's not the first time I've seen
an empty syringe lying around.
[♪]
[♪]
Hey! I got something!
What is it?
It's in the scrunchies.
[♪]
It's cortisone.
I have three vials here.
- I got three.
- I got three, too.
Where does a 15-year-old
get nine vials of cortisone?
Well, my guess is online.
Might be counterfeit.
Contaminated?
Which could make it deadly.
Whose locker is this?
Are all the dancers
holding in the greenroom?
[TRINH] They are. I'm with them.
- Got it! Rupi.
- Do we have eyes on Rupi?
[TRINH] She's in the washroom.
I'm waiting outside. Been there a while.
Let's go.
Rupi?
- Rupi!
- Rupi?
[ALARMED] Rupi! Rupi! Hey.
Look at me! Look at me! Open your eyes!
[ZAK] Calling for EMS
support immediately.
Come here. You're okay.
I got you. I got you!
We need to get the rest of her team
to the hospital, right now!
[SIRENS WAILING]
- How's she doing?
- Medics were able
to stabilize her, but she's unconscious.
Phones are ringing off the hook.
The community's panicked.
- Well, can you blame 'em?
- No.
Okay, I'm locking this place down!
All members of the Warriors dance team
will be transported to Surrey General
for blood work, immediately.
I want you two at the hospital.
Tell me what you learn, as you learn it.
- Copy.
- The rest of the teams are to remain here,
- under supervision.
- Copy.
Okay, everyone
if I haven't spoken to you directly yet,
my name is Sergeant Brambilla.
Officer Asad here, Officer Jones,
will coordinate the
transport of the Warriors team
to the hospital.
Everyone else, we need you
back inside the greenrooms, please.
[♪]
Hey, are you okay? Hey, look at me.
[BREATHING RAGGEDLY]
We need EMS here!
Your parents here?
- [WHEEZING DEEPLY]
- Hey, hey, where is your inhaler?
He's having an asthma attack.
Hey! Where is your inhaler?
[STRAINING] I ran out.
All right, he rides with us. Let's go.
Okay, hey. Stand up
straight. There you go.
Your lungs need as much air as possible.
I'm gonna count slowly
you're gonna breathe with me.
Okay? Here we go.
One
two
[RAGGED BREATHING]
[BREATHING SLOWING DOWN]
It doesn't make any sense.
We found the vials in Rupi's locker.
How is she our next victim?
Maybe someone else stashed them there?
Or she didn't know that
the cortisone was harmful,
maybe she took some herself?
The death threat?
A potentially-laced
needle in someone's back
that's clear intent.
It would need to be someone
who's able to get close
enough without raising flags.
[GILLIAN] The warrant came
through for everyone's phones
on the dance team.
It looks like there
was a party last night.
- That's interesting. Go on?
- Yeah.
Rupi posted a picture at 9:00 p.m.
The girls in the picture are
Simran, Kiran,
Saya, Pinky, Jass, and Rupi.
- [TEXT ALERT CHIMES]
- I, uh, just sent it to you.
[ZAK] Out of the six
girls in that photo,
one's dead, and the other two
are fighting for their lives.
What are the other three hiding?
[♪]
[♪]
[SABRINA] Jass, Saya, Pinky
I know that this is hard
and it's been a long day,
but we have some difficult
questions to ask you.
Are Kiran and Rupi okay?
They're both struggling.
My dad's a criminal lawyer.
[ZAK] He also signed a consent form.
We could have this conversation
at the detachment instead,
if you'd like.
[♪]
[SABRINA] Look, I know that
talking to police is scary,
but we really need your help,
to keep the rest of you safe.
We found nine vials of
cortisone in Rupi's locker,
and syringes in Amandeep's backpack.
We need to know what you know.
On God, I've never used it.
- I don't know.
- I don't know anything about vials.
[♪]
We think there's a chance
that those vials are tainted,
that the person who hurt your friends
might do it again.
Only this time, one of
you could be the target.
It was Rupi's cousin.
- Badshah Oberoi.
- Shh!
Why did Badshah give Rupi cortisone?
Because some of the
jumps killed our knees.
We use cortisone to numb it.
A doctor will only give
a shot every six months.
Jass, do you know where
Badshah got the cortisone?
Was it on the streets?
[♪]
And the syringes?
Rupi got scared during the bag searches,
and put the syringes in Amandeep's bag.
We thought the vials would never
be found in the hair scrunchies,
but I swear, literally
no one took it today.
[♪]
[KNOCKING ON DOOR]
None of the vials we seized
are positive for tampering.
Go ahead, Tenille.
And the tox came back
negative for cortisone
on all three girls.
And the entire team is negative.
All right, so cortisone's
not our murder weapon.
Did the tox screen show anything else?
We tested for amphetamines,
opiates, benzo
all negative.
We're broadening the scope now
to lead, mercury, and other toxins.
It's old-school, but you never know.
Thanks, Tenille.
All right, let's get Gillian
to run a record on "Badshah Oberoi".
Okay.
How's it going in there?
There's lots of loaded
looks, not a lot of talking.
Why don't you separate them?
- If someone has a secret
- They might not
want to say it in front of each other.
All right, thanks, Vince.
Yeah, thanks.
You were at a party last night?
Did something happen there
that we should know about?
- Where did you get that?
- Why is it
that three of the girls in that photo
are at the hospital,
- and the rest of you know nothing?
- Because nothing happened!
- Are you lying to us?
- I swear!
Nothing happened, I swear!
We-We met up at Rupi's,
and then we-we all went to sleep,
except Pinky.
Why? Where was Pinky?
[SABRINA] Saya said that you left early.
How come?
I wasn't feeling well.
What does that mean?
Sometimes, I get these migraines.
[ZAK] What happened after Pinky left?
I went to sleep.
I swear!
What time?
Maybe 8:30?
Clock on the wall in
that picture says 9 p.m.
Sleepovers after pre-competition mixers
are a big deal.
You left, just because of a headache?
Unless you left because
something else happened, Pinky?
[VOICE SHAKING] S-Sorry
it's just my sister's worked so hard
to put me into Bhangra school.
I just wanted to dance today.
[SABRINA] Your mom didn't
know that you had a sleepover,
- did she, Saya?
- Please, please
please don't tell her.
I've known Pinky for a year,
but I only joined the dance
group three months ago,
and I really didn't wanna miss it.
[ZAK] Why'd you say
you went to bed at 8:30,
when the picture was
taken and posted at nine?
If you tell the truth, we'll make
sure that's what goes on record.
Fine! Okay, they were
drinking at the party.
- Who was drinking?
- Rupi's cousin's friend.
Okay, Kiran freaked out
because we had dance in the morning,
but Rupi had a crush on the guy,
but then she took a shot and
then she got sick.
What kind of "sick"?
Like, dizzy.
She was shaky and
then she puked.
[♪]
I need to know more information.
I need to know how he is, I
need to know what he needs.
Please.
Sorry
the parents are getting impatient.
Any news?
Nothing yet.
Do you know the name Badshah Oberoi?
He was at a party with
some of the victims,
this past week.
I know Badshah from the community.
You know where he might be right now?
India, as of this morning.
He's visiting family.
Parents have put their
faith in me and
[HER WORDS CATCH]
You feel it's your fault?
[♪]
It's tiring
blaming yourself.
Maybe if I were a better mentor,
this wouldn't have happened.
Or maybe not.
'Cause kids
Kids need to find their own way.
[♪]
[SABRINA] Rupi is sicker
than just a hangover.
If she was sick yesterday and today,
- could it be connected?
- Nope.
Got off the phone with Tenille.
We know what the murder weapon is.
It's insulin.
All three of the girls
were injected with it today.
Insulin is not a narcotic,
so it doesn't show up
on a standard tox screen.
If you don't go looking
specifically for it
You don't find it.
Kiran arrived at hospital
with low blood sugar
no big deal, initially,
but, when Rupi arrives
with severe hypoglycemia,
they ran a targeted insulin test,
and it came back
with abnormal levels
for a non-diabetic
So Tenille took another look at Kiran?
Yes! And all three of the
girls came back positive.
So, someone purposely
injected these girls
with dangerous amounts of insulin.
Knowing that it would be
potent enough to kill them.
Vince is running targeted insulin tests
for the whole team.
I just double-checked
none of the students
are insulin-dependent.
- And your staff?
- I'm certain.
We perform out of town so
much, we keep detailed records.
Someone had to have access.
Maybe a parent?
I can check with them.
Thank you. Any insight would help.
[GILLIAN] Sabrina, there's
something you need to see.
Our three victims
Kiran, Rupi, and Simran
are on a private group chat.
They talk about the usual teenage stuff,
but then, three months ago,
Saya gets added to the group chat.
That's when she said she
joined the dance troupe.
Yeah, exactly, and, for the most part,
the tone of the texts are the same,
but then, last night,
something happened.
This picture was posted
on Instagram at 9 p.m.
And then there's no
activity until 9:37 p.m.,
when Saya sends a text
to the group that reads
"Get rid of that, or
you'll all be sorry.
182."
"Get rid" of what?
The photo Rupi posted?
- That, I don't know.
- What does "182" mean?
One for "I,"
8 for "hate," 2 for "you."
"I hate you."
Kiran and Simran don't respond.
Rupi "dislikes" the text,
and then the chat goes
dark for the night.
Well, something serious
must have happened.
Last night, Saya tells
Kiran, Rupi, and Simran
- she hates them.
- And this morning, all three of them
are in critical condition or dead.
I'll call Vince.
Let's bring Saya in.
[VINCE] Thank you, doctor.
So Dilip's asthma is stabilizing.
His grandma's coming to pick him up.
Good.
How's Will doing?
[HUFFS TENSELY]
I don't know.
I haven't been able to reach him.
I don't know what else I can do for him,
and every time I feel like
we're getting somewhere
[DEEP BREATH, SIGH]
God, he is not safe in there.
Well, you say you've got connections,
maybe it's time to use them?
- You think?
- Oh, yeah.
You gotta do whatever you can
to protect your kid, right?
Right.
[PHONE BUZZES]
-
- [♪]
Saya?
This officer's gonna have to
take you down to the Detachment.
[♪]
"Get rid of that, or
you'll all be sorry.
182." Why did you tell
your friends you hate them?
[ZAK] What does "get
rid of that" mean, Saya?
And get that finger out of your mouth!
We moved here from Calgary last year,
and Saya's caught up
in all this nonsense?
She can't even dance.
It must've been hard
to move to a new city.
I'm not from here either.
I know, it's not easy to start again
and make new friends.
[SABRINA] I wasn't very
good at Bhangra either.
Do you know why I started?
When I was little, I
would see my mom, my nani,
my maasis, my bhuaas,
dance their hearts out
at family functions.
Giddha, Boliyan, Bhangra
it was a celebration, but
it was also resistance.
Dancing gave them agency.
It allowed them to express themselves
live their lives,
make new friends.
I bet this dance family,
these new friendships,
mean a lot to you.
I know you want to help them.
What would help the most
is if you told us the truth.
[SIGHS SHAKILY]
It's all my fault.
What's your fault?
Um, last night, at Rupi's
[SNAPS] What do you mean? "Last night"?
Where were you last night?
Sorry, but we just
need to hear from Saya.
I I really don't want
to get anyone in trouble.
It's too late for that.
People are in trouble already.
[♪]
[SIGHS WITH RESOLVE]
There is an app on my phone,
called "Locked".
It looks like a
calculator, but it's not.
My password is "4-1-1-2-2."
It'll tell you everything.
[MUFFLED LAUGHTER]
[♪]
[KNOCKING ON DOOR]
[SAYA] Uh, Pinky, are you in there?
[PINKY] Don't come in yet! I'm changing.
[♪]
[PINKY] Wait, I said [SHRIEKS]
Saya, I'm naked.
What are you doing?
[SAYA] Uh, we can't be friends anymore.
[PINKY] What? What do you mean?
[SAYA] I don't
I don't want to.
[PINKY] I thought we were friends!
Why are you doing this?
Welcome to modern bullying.
Where an app looks like a calculator,
so parents don't notice
it when they're snooping.
[KIRAN] Smile! Got you!
- [PINKY] You're filming me?
- [LAUGHING]
What are you doing? Kiran!
Simran, Rupi tell her to stop!
So Kiran filmed this and
then texted it to Saya.
And Saya told her to get rid of it.
They lured Pinky,
made her feel like she was
being invited to a sleepover,
only to humiliate her.
And Pinky wanted to get back
at them for what they did to her.
We need to get Pinky here now.
[SIREN WAILING]
Pinky
Pinky?
Gavan, where is Pinky?
She was right there,
getting some fresh air.
Pinky! Where is she?
Pinky?
[ECHOING] Pinky!
She's gone.
All units within a 5-K
radius of Surrey General,
be on the lookout for a
missing 15-year-old girl,
"Pinky Singh".
Check her home address,
check any and all bus
stations in the city.
She's our primary suspect
in the targeted murder
and attack of three girls.
She may be a threat
to others or herself.
Let's go! Let's move!
Brambilla, Gabinski
retrace Pinky's steps.
I've got officers bringing
her sister in from Abbotsford.
We saw the video, Saya.
We know what you did to Pinky.
[TEARFULLY] I'm so sorry.
I never meant for any of this to happen.
I know, but we need your help.
Pinky is missing, and you're the
only person who can help us find her.
- She's missing?
- Do you know anything else about her?
Anything about her home life?
Um
I think it's just
Pinky and her sister.
Her sister works two jobs.
She's alone a lot.
[CHOKES UP] And she's often really sad.
Do you have any idea where she could be?
No.
Does she have any other friends,
or somebody who might help her
when she's scared or hiding?
- No.
- Is there a park that she likes? A mall?
Saya! I need you to think.
Is there a place that she likes to go?
Somewhere that makes her feel happy?
Yeah. Yeah, there's somewhere
Pinky loves more than anywhere.
The dance studio.
Possible location of suspect
Surrey Bhangra World Dance Studio.
76th Avenue and King George.
If you wait here, an officer will
come take you to the waiting room.
Uh, oh, please, tell Pinky
I-I didn't know Kiran was filming,
and-and Kiran said she'd
kick me out of the group
if I told Pinky we weren't friends
but we were friends!
When I called her my bhain, I meant it.
Please? Please tell her.
I will, I promise.

Pinky!
- [GLASS SHATTERING]
- Pinky! Hey! Hey!
- [GLASS SHATTERING]
- [ZAK] Hey!
Pinky, stop!
- [ZAK] Pinky! Pinky!
- Stop!
[PINKY'S BREATH SHAKING]
Pinky, stop. Pinky, put that down.
[ZAK] We don't want
you to hurt yourself.
Pinky, drop the glass!
[HYPERVENTILATING]
Talk to me, tell me what
you're feeling right now.
Saya, she
She was my best friend.
I know.
She cares a lot about you, too.
Pinky, can you give
me the glass, please?
Last year was the best year of my life.
How could she
How?
Pinky, Saya didn't know
that you were being filmed.
She never wanted to
lose you as a friend.
Pinky
Pinky, look at me!
Drop the glass!
[LOUDER] Drop the glass!
[PINKY WEEPS]
My whole life
I've been ashamed
picked apart.
I just wanted them to feel how I felt.
- I just wanted to make it stop!
- Pinky! Pinky!
- Hey!
- Pinky, I need you to hear me
listen to the sound of my voice, okay?
That video was not posted.
It was not posted anywhere.
If it was, we would have
found it, and we didn't.
Okay? Kiran threatened to
kick Saya out of the group,
it's the only reason that she said
she didn't want to be your friend.
Pinky
when Saya called you her bhain,
she meant it.
[TENDER PIANO CHORDS RISE]
I know what you have been through.
[VOICE CRACKS] And it is not fair.
And I know how alone you have been.
And sometimes, when we're so alone,
it's scary.
But your name
is Pinky Singh
and Singhs
are lions
and lions
they're fearless.
[GLASS CLATTERS]
[PINKY WEEPS]
[PINKY SOBBING]
This is a misunderstanding.
My sister could never do this.
Yes, I did.
Because of me, Simran is gone
and Kiran and Rupi are sick.
- Pinky?
- I couldn't take it anymore.
This is a very difficult circumstance.
No one here can fathom what
my sister has been through.
Look.
[SPEAKING PUNJABI]
[SPEAKING PUNJABI]
died a few years ago,
so I've been taking care of us.
Last year, we moved here from Toronto,
just so Pinky could
have new friends, but
it started again.
[♪]
[VOICE BREAKS] It's my fault.
- I kept working.
- No, Panji.
Believe me, I never meant to
I just wanted them to feel my pain,
because Saya
she was my one friend,
I [SIGHS]
I didn't want to lose her.
I didn't want to be alone again.
I know
Kiran filmed me naked
to post it today,
to throw me off
to sabotage my
performance for the scouts.
[SABRINA] Because she knew
you had real Nakhra, charm.
That's no excuse, Pinky.
Simran's dead.
I-I didn't mean to kill anyone.
I just wanted to scare them, that's all.
I-I never thought
Where'd you get the insulin?
My sister has diabetes.
Last month, she took
too much and got sick,
but got better again.
Because I am the chunni pinner,
I got the idea to inject them
when I was pinning the
chunni to their back.
I pin them there.
Tha That's how I injected them.
You knew that no one would notice,
because the safety pins
always poke the dancers.
[♪]
I'm sorry.
You've got a long road ahead of you.
[SPEAKING PUNJABI]
[BOTH SOBBING]
[♪]
I'm so sorry.
Okay. Right there.
That officer right there.
[♪]
Any word back from the hospital?
Yeah. Kiran and Rupi are
recovering, both of 'em.
They're past the worst of it.
[♪]
Chumki said that no one can fathom
how the spirit breaks
when you're being bullied.
[♪]
Would you like to tell me,
or you want me to guess?
I think they left a rat in my car.
[SIGHS]
Not worth your time.
Not worth my time?
I'll, uh, check in with Zak tomorrow.
[VINCE] Goodnight.
[♪]
Hey.
[BRIGHTER] Hey.
- Where are you headed?
- Home. You?
Uh home.
Do you want some company?
Yeah. I do.
- A girls' night?
- Heck, yeah, a girls' night.
[♪]

[CHUCKLES]
So
we think Brambilla's down,
turns out he's crawling
because the dog has sunk
his teeth into his foot.
[BOTH LAUGHING]
So, uh, the stick that's
up Brambilla's ass,
that hasn't always been there?
No, no. He's always been a stickler,
but he used to have a bit more bite
that's for sure.
Huh.
You know, a couple of days ago,
he was telling me about this domestic
it was early days, you
must've been his T.O.
Woman died?
Seems like it really got to him.
He told you about that, huh?
First time I had any respect for him,
if I'm being honest.
Well, I mean, after
what the guy did, right?
[LIQUID POURING]
I'm good.
If you're gonna kiss my ass,
at least you can have the
decency to drink with me.
[CHUCKLES WEAKLY]
[♪]
There he is.
[♪]
[GULPS SOFTLY]
So, Brambilla?
Listen, you should see
what he did to this guy.
Black and blue all over.
Brambilla went after him?
Doesn't sound like Vince.
He nearly killed him.
Good for him.
What year was that?
[KLASSEN] I don't 2000?
