There's a hole in the
carotid. I need blood.
Temporary clips?

We have five minutes to fix
this before she strokes out.
- Clock's on.
- (BEEPING)
I need to find the rupture
point and fix the hole.
Found it. Get me a 7-0 Prolene suture.
I'm suturing the carotid.
Blood pressure is rising.
Removing the temporary clips.
Okay. Let's hope this works.
Suture's holding. Okay, time?
Two minutes, 56 seconds.

(SIGHING)

from both her carotid
artery and her optic nerves.
Thank God.
Is she okay?
There was a complication.
What kind of complication?
Edna suffered a hemorrhage
during the procedure.
Now, I was able to get the
bleedings under control in time,
but we won't know how
she is until she wakes up.
Can I see her?

me finish my degree here.
Gonna have to head home in a few weeks.

I was able to put my degree
on hold for two years.

and then we could both move
back to Alberta so I could finish mine.

Because I know how much this
degree means to you, and
I worry that if you put
it off for two years,
you might never go back to it.
I look at Frank and Edna's relationship,
and how much they love each other,
and I want that too, Lola.

One day.
But
we both still have so
much to experience in life.
And jumping into anything right now
wouldn't make sense for either of us.
And we've only just met.
There's no guarantees this relationship
would even work out.

I was just remembering
that first night I walked

at the stars together.

you really can't see them

I have been so focused
on the path that I thought
I needed to be on that

Being a doctor is who I am,
and it's who I'll always be,
but I'm also a Sullivan,
and the Crossing is my home.
And both of those sides
are equally important to me.

weren't any jobs here.
I realized that it's not neurosurgery
that I can't live without.
It's helping people,
and I can do that by staying right here
with you and opening
up a general practice
in Timberlake.
