They're close.
And-and, Hayley
the head feels mushy,

Piper, do you feel a little dimple
anywhere on baby?
Yes.
That's not the head,
that's baby's bum.
- It's in breech.
- What, is that bad?
Hayley, I can also feel
something else.
It's too small to be a limb.
It's slippery and it has a pulse.
Piper, that's the cord.
The baby needs that to breathe.
[HAYLEY] We need to keep
pressure off the cord,
so put the patient on all fours
and keep checking the cord
for a pulse.
[AGONIZED GROAN]
We don't have time!
She's pushing, I can see the bum!
Piper, breeches are usually
a C-section in a hospital.
Delivering the body is the easy part,
but the head is what determines
whether or not baby will fit
through the birthing canal.
Okay, then what do I what do I do?
The baby is four weeks preterm
so it's smaller.
There's a better chance
the head will fit.
But once the cord's out,
they don't get oxygen,
so the head needs to be
delivered fast.
Do you understand?
How far are we from the hospital?

And you don't pull, you just,
