actors who drank from this?
Not a thing.
The paramedics checked them out,
and they seem fine.
And, um, they recorded the show,
seeing as it was the last performance.
So I will watch it back
and check to see what happened.
But if they did drink
from the same bottle, then
He must have ingested
the poison some other way.

These the two that drank from the

She and the victim were
in a relationship together
and she's taking it pretty badly.

He directed this production
and he also plays
Uh Prospero.
There comes a moment
in every actor's life
where certain characters call to you.

I swear, if there was poison

we're working on the basis
that the poison was

Mr Farrer consumed
in the 20 minutes or so before he died.

what happened this afternoon.

make-up and costume change
to reappear as Caliban in Act 1, Scene 2.

And how did he seem then?
Fine.
And what about before he went
onstage and collapsed?
A bit nervous.
Pacing, biting his nails.
He always was before that scene.
There are a couple of
tricky speeches in it.
But he wasn't looking ill?
Can any of you think why someone
might want to do this to Mr Farrer?
Mikey was loved by the whole company.
A very talented boy.
He had the whole world at his feet.
If we're working on the basis
that the killer got the poison
into Michael's system
15, 20 minutes prior to him
dying onstage,
then it must be one of the cast
or stage crew that

Why kill someone like that?
In front of an audience,
and on the very last show of the tour?
I mean, after today,
they could all go home, right?
They'd never have to see
each other again.
So why did he have to die
on that stage today?

and found no traces of the poison
in it whatsoever.

but, most importantly, a lethal
dose of potassium cyanide.
That is surprising.
Poison was in the bottle that our victim
and the other two actors drank
from onstage.

So how can three people drink
from the same poison bottle
and only one of them die?
It doesn't make any sense.

Well, we can rule out the
pretending-to-drink theory.
I mean, these guys are drinking

actors slipped the poison in onstage
just before Michael drank from it?

When we spoke with the rest
of the cast this morning,
a, um, Casey Briscoe, who plays Miranda,

accosting the victim
just moments before the show

So I get this big audition,
and I go down to London
and stay in a cheap hotel
near the theatre.

When I was a kid, I used to hang

the stage doors of
West End theatres, yeah,

Anyway, I got to know some of the staff,
and they would let me sneak in
and watch whatever was on
at the time. So, yeah,
I have seen my fair share
of the Bard's works.
Also, I got talking
to the actors sometimes,
and they would say how hard a gig it was.
You know, the failed auditions,
the unemployment,
doing rubbish jobs
just to make ends meet.
It was tough, competitive.
As our first suspect found out.
Well, could it be that
that pushed Michael
to do what he did to Nathan?
But it also shows there's
a dark side to our victim.
Spiking someone's drink
just so he can get the role he wanted.
That's ruthless.
Well, whatever it was that led someone
to poison Michael Farrer, well,
we still haven't got a scooby
how he pulled it off.
I mean, the man died onstage, right,
in the middle of a performance.

then added poison to that wine
bottle onstage after he died.

Make us think that's what killed him.
I'm afraid my little plan
wasn't quite so smart.
Nor so deadly.
The bottle doesn't contain cyanide.
It contains lysergic acid diethylamide.
The hallucinogen?
I injected one of the lozenges.
But not with cyanide.
I didn't want to kill him.
I just wanted him to feel
how he made me feel.
Powerless.
And I wanted everyone to see it.
But coward that I am,
I didn't go through with it.
And then Michael collapsed
onstage and we were called.
I panicked.
In all the frenzy,
I ran to the beach lockers,
hid the evidence
So it was you our security saw
trying to get into the dressing
room to get that key.

I was so smashed half the time,
