The Amazing Race (2001) s38e06 Episode Script

The System Hacked Me

1
PHIL KEOGHAN: Previously
onThe Amazing Race
Nine teams raced
to Dubrovnik, Croatia.
When a Double U-Turn appeared,
the Train Wreck alliance
took control.
- Go.
- Guys we have all the power.
We're not U-Turning.
We want to keep racing.
We have too much blood
on our hands.
KEOGHAN: Jas and Jag U-Turned
Izzy and Paige.
If they got to the board first,
- they would have U-Turned us.
- And they're a strong team.
KEOGHAN:
And Joseph and Adam
U-Turned Kristine and Rubina
It's too hard in the race
for us to let this pass.
igniting a fiery reaction.
I want
to be a little angry right now.
KEOGHAN: Eric overheard
Kyland's U-Turn theory
We heard that the boy teams had,
like, a gentlemen's agreement.
Looks like they U-Turned
two of the girl-girl teams.
and shared it with Jas.
ERIC:
And they were like,
"It looks like the guys had
a gentlemen's agreement.
Like, they're not going
after the guys' team."
They're, like,
gunning for us both.
KEOGHAN: Tucker and
Eric's strong performance
attracted attention
That is a juggernaut of a team.
How the hell did they find that
so quick?
as they won
their second leg in a row.
- Yeah!
- Let's go, baby.
- Let's get it, baby.
- Ah!
KEOGHAN:
A grueling Roadblock
pushed some teams
to the brink
Oh! Come on!
I'm tired.
- RUBINA: I know you're tired.
- [Kristine cries]
- I know.
- HANNAH: Please don't cry
- at all, Simone.
- That's okay.
Please don't cry.
and led to an elimination
for sisters Hannah and Simone.
SIMONE:
I have the best sister
anybody could ask for.
KEOGHAN:
Coming up tonight
The Train Wreck alliance
hits a snag.
STEPHANIE: Why do you tell
people that you're going to wait?
Nat, we're racing right now.
So, what, we're going
to sacrifice a lower place?
- One and two.
- KEOGHAN: And can Kristine and Rubina
and Izzy and Paige
get back in the race?
Yeah, there you go,
there you go.
- Ugh. Ah, baby.
- PAIGE: Coming.
It's okay. Stop.
- You got it?
- Ah.
- First clue of the day, Route Info.
- Route Info.
"Drive to Trsteno and find
Neptune in the arboretum
to receive your next clue."
KEOGHAN: All teams will now
self-drive from Dubrovnik
to Croatia's oldest arboretum,
a botanical garden
with 500-year-old trees.
This is where teams will pick up
their next clue.
"You have ten euro
for this leg of the race."
All right, let's go. Let's go.
ERIC: Feel great
about leaving in first place.
You know, it's our second
first place in a row.
TUCKER: I think it's
those cars right over there.
As racers,
I think we got it locked in
a lot better
than some other teams.
ERIC:
We got to get directions, dude.
Can we ask you for directions?
- Of course.
- All right, sweet. Thank you.
TUCKER: Oh, there it is.
There's the Neptune statue.
ERIC:
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. All right.
Thank you, man. Appreciate it.
Tucker was pretty good
when we were training
for stick shift,
so we know that we can do it,
but it's obviously
more challenging than automatic.
We're hoping that this continues
to be another area
where we can get ahead
of the other teams.
Doing much better
than I would do driving stick,
I'll tell you that. [laughs]
In the last leg,
we definitely felt lucky
getting
to the U-Turn board first.
Joseph and Adam U-Turned
maybe Rubina and Kristine.
TUCKER:
Rubina's my girlfriend.
Don't know if she's still
in the race or not,
but if not, it won't affect
how we're gonna be racing.
All right,
we're leaving Dubrovnik.
"You have ten euro
for this leg of the race."
These are the ten euro.
Okay, cool.
- KYLAND: Let's do it.
- All right. Marked cars. Marked cars.
- Hey!
- Whoo!
All right, let's do it.
Oh, we got stick shift.
TAYLOR: Last leg, we
came in second place.
It's our highest placement
so far.
It feels amazing.
We just don't want
to lose our second place,
especially when we're so close
to getting even closer
to that first.
It is a manual. Let's go, baby!
JAG:
We feel great right now.
We made it past
the Double U-Turn without
seeing our faces
on the U-Turn board.
We were able
to U-Turn Izzy and Paige.
We've been sort of getting
the cold shoulder from them,
and so we wanted
to take this shot at them
before they can
take a shot at us.
Yup, so we're very excited
that this is a manual car
and not an automatic.
And we both have
commercial driver's license.
We own a gas
trucking company together.
We haul fuel
from point A to point B.
We can drive semitrucks,
like 18-wheelers.
Overall, we're ready
for a really great race day.
"You have ten euros
for this leg of the race."
- Let's go.
- Okay, let's go.
JOSEPH: Oh, my God,
this view is amazing.
You do not get views
like this in Florida.
We're just coming up,
so we know we're headed
in the right direction.
ADAM:
17 straight kilometers, Joseph.
Woo-hoo! We did it, one shot.
Let's go!

ERIC:
We're kind of flying solo.
We're friendly with all
the teams, but this last leg,
I heard Kyland and Taylor
talking about how they think
the all-guy teams
were all working together.
Kyland and Taylor
have a target out for us.
TUCKER:
Arboretum right here.
ERIC: And so we're
still gonna be competing
as hard and fast as we can.
Put it there.
All right, let's giddyap.
That's definitely it.
Dude, there's a lot
of paths we're passing.
All right, let's see
if we can see it down here.
TUCKER: If not, it's gonna
be back where we were.
ERIC [sighs]:
Nothing down here.
- No.
- TUCKER: All right, it's gonna be back up.
ERIC:
Let's take this right.
TUCKER:
Here?
- Oh, it's right here.
- Yes!
TUCKER:
Clue right here.
It's wrapped up. Open it.
Detour.
"Bag It Up or Pull It Up?"
Ston's salt pans
are the oldest in Europe,
dating back thousands of years.
Every summer, the water
evaporates out of these ponds,
exposing the salt.
This Detour requires teams
to fill a wheelbarrow
with raw salt,
fill and seal ten bags,
then weigh the bags,
making sure they weigh
between 20 and 21 pounds each
before delivering them
to a salt-of-the-earth manager.
Mali Ston Bay produces 90%
of Croatia's oysters.
This Detour requires teams
to row out into this bay
and look for buoys
suspending oysters,
pick up three of them,
then return to shore
and deliver the oysters
to a nearby restaurant.
When the head chef
has her oysters,
she'll shell out a clue.
- Let's do Bag It Up.
- Bag It Up?
- That's going to be physical.
- Bag It Up.
All right, we're going
to do Bag It Up.
Bag It Up, Bag It Up,
Bag It Up.
TUCKER:
Oh, cut out this way.
Time to back out.
ERIC: We didn't see any other
cars when we left the arboretum.
I feel very confident
that we are still in the lead.
Jas and Jag-- they're obviously
one of the strongest teams.
You know, they've finished in
top three in every single leg,
and they have the Express Pass.
So that is probably the team
that we're most wary of.
JAG: Right here, parking.
Got it. Marked parking.
Found it.
Okay.
Let's go down.
JAS: I think it's
gonna be to our left.
JAG:
It is, I think.
- Right here.
- JAG: Perfect.
- Right here.
- Oh, buddy.
JAG:
Got it? Go.
JAS:
Detour.
"Bag It Up or Pull It Up?"
- Let's do salt.
- Okay. I don't know about
We're gonna do Bag It Up.
We're gonna do Bag It Up.
We're gonna do Bag It Up.
JAS:
Let's go.
TAYLOR:
All right.
We're looking for the Neptune.
We're looking for Neptune.
Maybe this way.
Looking for something marked?
KYLAND: At least here,
we have a vantage point.
- We can look around.
- Anything we can see from here?
KYLAND: Okay, I don't
see anything. All right.
- Let's look this way, too.
- All right.
- JAG: Put it in reverse?
- JAS: It is.
Hold up.
Why is it going forward?
JAG: You want to put it
in neutral and just push it
if reverse isn't working?
Okay, let's just Yeah.
Let's get out and push it.
- Our reverse just is
- It's not working.
JAS:
Go, go, go.
Even though we know how
to drive semitrucks,
which are ten times larger
than manual cars,
I could not,
for the life of me,
figure out how
to put a car in reverse.
JAS:
Three.
Okay, get in.
Get in the car. Get in the car.
JAS: Stop it. Pull it, pull it,
pull it, pull it.
- JAS: Pull it.
- JAG: Okay.
JAS: We might have
kissed the fence a little bit.
- [Jag laughs]
- JAS: Nothing major.
You're good.
JAS: The arboretum fence
is still okay.
JAG:
No one was injured.
Today's gonna be a rough day.
- Oh. Yo! That looks like Neptune.
- Yup.
Detour.
"Bag It Up or Pull It Up?"
A rowboat I feel good about.
TAYLOR:
Let's do Pull It Up. Let's go.
Pull It Up, we could probably
beast through pretty quickly.
Thank God I got some Popeye
muscles over here next to me.
Oh, man, the roads are wet.
NATALIE:
"Drive to Trsteno
to receive your next clue."
Come on.
I have to drive stick shift.
You got this, Nat.
Teamwork with me, okay?
Speak to me.
STEPHANIE:
Okay. You got it, you got it.
- It's okay.
- Gas, gas, gas.
Don't worry, don't worry.
I can do this.
DoingThe Amazing Race
together,
I've been learning
that my sister
brings out the best in me.
- Okay, we're grooving.
- I drive stick.
It's just, I have to navigate.
So I have confidence in that.
Nat's already driving stick,
so we're good.
I always rely on my sister
to do all the hard stuff.
And right now
I'm driving stick shift.
So I'm really proud of myself
for taking lead in something.
[laughs]
Goodbye, Dubrovnik.
Solana Ston right there.
Let's just park down here
and run.
ERIC:
This way, the salt shed.
We have to go to the salt shed.
- Dude, is that it all the way down there?
- TUCKER: Probably.
ERIC:
We see this old stone building
probably a quarter mile down.
TUCKER:
It looks like a shed.
And we figured
that had to be it.
[Tucker sighs]
ERIC:
Wheelbarrows.
In here.
TUCKER:
Here's some salt, dude.
ERIC:
There's basically
just a whole wall of salt.
We need to bag ten bags
and seal them.
It's not gonna take too long
to do this.
That's good for now.
Come back.
Go weigh it after one scoop
so we can guess how many scoops.
- Okay?
- All right.
TUCKER:
Go weigh that.
ERIC:
This is 2.4.
Had to make sure it was
between 20 and 21 pounds.
- Got the good workstation.
- Nine.
Ten.
Here we go. All right.
- And then sealing them.
- You press it on for a sec.
We do that all the time at work.
Then press and hold
until it There.
I work at the world's first
frozen protein bar company.
I'm, like, the food scientist
head chef there.
And we have
to use those bag sealers.
- Good.
- Looks pretty good to me.
ADAM:
Is it here?
- There.
- Yeah.
Found you.
"Bag It Up or Pull It Up?"
So we're gonna Bag It Up.
- Yup, let's go.
- Let's go.
TAYLOR: We can park
in any public parking.
KYLAND:
Oh, that's what it says?
- Yeah.
- Okay, let's stop here, then.
TAYLOR:
Let's do it.
For this challenge, we have
to jump in a rowboat,
row all the way out
to the marked buoys,
pull up lines of oysters
with the marked buoys,
and deliver them to the
head chef of the restaurant.
- Hello.
- Hello.
This boat's pretty big
[laughs]
as far as moving it
in the water.
Ooh, it's wobbly.
I'm like, this is the size
of a car, and I'm gonna have
to move this out
in the open ocean.
TAYLOR:
Let's do this.
Oops. [sniffles]
This way.
Sorry. Let me just get
- a feel of them.
- Hey, get a rhythm.
Forward bound!
So that's something
to pay attention.
- When they pop out
- Uh-huh.
if you can get that one
in front of you
and I'll get, yeah,
this one back in.
- But we are moving, right?
- We are moving, yeah.
- KYLAND: We're making good progress.
- We're 2:00
See, that one popped out,
so I
- That would have been the time.
- Okay.
See that?
- I'm sorry. See?
- It's okay. One job.
- I'm trying to read the clue.
- One job.
- "You must take them"
- One job twice.
Oh, my God.
I always thought
a, like, romantic,
rowboat date would
look a little differently, but
I will never forget this one.
- Ah!
- Don't read the clue till we get there.
- Okay. All right.
- How about you just get us there?
- I got it. Okay.
- How about we get there, okay?
JAG:
For all the talk that we had
about manual driving,
not the best display
of manual driving,
but it's The Amazing Race
and we're figuring it out.
- It's not bringing us down.
- Yeah.
We're still calm,
cool and collected.
JOSEPH:
Do you see the signs, Adam?
- What town are we headed to?
- ADAM: Ston.
S-T-O-N.
Hopefully, when we get there,
we'll see a team,
- and we can make a call.
- Moving real slow.
STEPHANIE:
Excuse me? To Trsteno?
- Just keep straight.
- NATALIE: We had it right.
- Go straight first.
- Straight on the left, though,
- 'cause it goes uphill, right?
- Yeah. Yes, yes.
- And then bridge and then right.
- And then the bridge on the right.
- Okay, thanks.
- Thank you.
We were going the right way.
We're good.
- We were going the right way.
- Yeah.
- You got it.
- [engine revs]
It's okay. It's just
'cause we're on the hill.
- All the way over to the left.
- It is.
[engine revs]
Wait. Maybe you should drive.
STEPHANIE:
Nat, let me drive.
NATALIE: Can you ask
that guy how to reverse?
- So, we're trying to get it in reverse.
- We can't get out.
NATALIE:
Oh.
- STEPHANIE: The other way.
- It's push down.
That's what we're doing wrong.
This is different.
You have to push down.
- Thank you. Hvala.
- Hvala.
We love Croatian men.
I learned
that you have to push down
- All right, Nat, let's go.
- to get to reverse.
There we go.
That tutorial was clutch.
Yay! Croatia!
ERIC: Still don't see
any other teams here.
We still feel comfortable
with our lead.
It looks good.
We filled the wheelbarrow up,
and then Eric carried two.
ERIC:
Two is easy.
We have to go down
to the shipping office,
like a quarter mile down.
TUCKER:
Hup, hup, hup.
ERIC:
We're just going to run hard.
- I'm just going right through the puddle.
- Yeah.
- I'm not going to try to do the grass.
- Yeah.
ERIC:
Oh, God. Oh, dude.
Soaked.
- Maybe let's pull into this public park.
- Let's just park.
JAS:
Just pull in here?
JAG:
We're pushing the car backwards
'cause we don't know
how to reverse it.
- Good?
- Good, good, good, good, good, good, good.
All right, let's do this.
TUCKER: Yeah,
where all those crates are?
ERIC:
Yup.
- Hey.
- MAN: Hello.
So
- All right.
- Good.
It's good.
It's good.
It's good.
It's good.
TUCKER:
We are absolutely
- crushing it.
- That is good.
TUCKER: Having experience
with a bag sealer,
I knew how long to press it down
and when to take it off,
which some teams might not know.
ERIC:
Two more bags.
It's good.
Come on, baby.
Lucky number ten.
It's good.
All right.
- [Eric sighs]
- MAN: All right.
- Thank you.
- Thank you so much. All right.
- Ah, thank
- Thank you. Thank you.
- All right. Route Info.
- Route Info.
ERIC:
"Make your way to Park Komarda
in the village of Ston
to find your next clue."
- Park Komarda.
- Come on, let's go.
Let's get it.
- We spotted Tucker and Eric.
- Yeah.
- TUCKER: What's up, boys?
- Let's see what it says.
Where's the wheelbarrow?
- JAG AND JAS: Way down there?
- TUCKER AND ERIC: Way down there.
- How hard is it to seal the bag?
- It's easy.
You just got to make sure
it's sealed all the way.
- Got to be careful.
- Okay.
JAG: We actually saw
Tucker and Eric leaving,
so we knew that there was a lot
of work for us
to get done.
JAS:
Keep going. Keep going.
KYLAND: Got a little bit of wind
coming in at us.
So now we're going
against the wind here.
The setup of the boat
made me feel like
- It was for one person.
- it was just going
to be better
to have one person row.
Sit in the front of the boat,
let me try that.
I'm pretty sure
that in the bigger boats,
you're supposed to be
rowing basically backwards.
Hopefully, we'll make
some forward movement soon.
- Oh! Oh! That sucks.
- Oh, my God.
- KYLAND: Oh! That sucks.
- TAYLOR: Oh, my God.
Nope.
You know what?
I can't figure that out.
I'm gonna go back this way.
Getting a little bit
of the rhythm back.
At no point
were we going backwards.
That was the main goal.
- Are we getting closer?
- Yeah, we're getting closer.
- Okay. Are you sure?
- Yes, I am.
Okay, 'cause I know
the water's
TAYLOR: We are getting closer,
I'm certain.
STEPHANIE:
This way, this way.
NATALIE:
Yes!
Sissy, come here!
So there's three people
behind us.
We got to hurry up.
"Bag It Up or Pull It Up?"
- Should we just try the oysters?
- We can do it.
We need to find someone
for directions.
- NATALIE: Okay.
- [groans] It's prickly.
JAS:
Like this.
Mine is gonna be too heavy.
JAS: It's better to go over
and then take out some.
JAG:
20.5. Perfect.
We're pretty confident,
and we have a system working,
so we should be
out of here soon.
ERIC: Excuse me. Could
you guys help us with directions
to Park Komarda?
You go straight
and then to the left.
Straight and then left.
Oh, yeah, let's walk.
- Let's just run in there.
- Yeah.
- Thank you so much.
- Thank you, thank you, thank you.
That was huge.
ERIC:
There it is.
Roadblock. "Who knows
their way around Croatia?"
- Uh, I do.
- Yeah, you got it.
This Roadblock requires teams
to go on a fact-finding mission.
Using this relief map
as reference,
they must find these locations,
memorizing facts at each spot.
They must then return
to this park
to correctly answer
three questions for a clue.
Let's hope they get it right
the first time
because the questions
will change with each attempt.
So I guess find the relief map?
This is the relief map
right here.
So this is Park Komarda.
I'm going to run up here,
take a U-turn to this.
Back up two blocks to the left
and then straight down.
- I got this.
- Get those steps in.
- All right.
- Eric is really good
at remembering facts
and numbers and stuff,
so it's the perfect Roadblock
for Eric.
ERIC:
"Croatian facts."
All right. "Height of the
tallest mountain-- 6,007 feet."
"Necktie was invented in 1636."
"Coastline is 3,625 miles."
Got it.
I have a real strong sense
of direction.
1636, 625 miles.
Found the second facts
very quickly.
Here we go.
"Independence from Yugoslavia,
June 25, 1991."
"'As long as there is heart,
there will be Croatia.'"
"First king-- King Tomislav."
Hit this last one
and then finish it off.
CHELSIE:
"You have ten euro
for this leg of the race."
- All right, let's go.
- All right.
JACK: This was my first
car, a 1970 Volkswagen.
Then I bought my first new car,
which was a '88 Toyota Corolla.
And they were both manual.
Every single leg of this race,
we've learned how
to work better together.
JACK:
The Double U-Turn helped us
get past a couple of groups.
CHELSIE:
It's challenges each leg,
but we've learned
how to communicate
and figure it out along the way.
So look on the wall right here.
See if we can get a street name.
And it's just difficult 'cause
there's not normal street signs
up like you would in the States.
ADAM:
This is going to be your left.
- I think this is the one.
- Right here. This is the left.
JOSEPH:
Yeah. Look at that.
- ADAM: Team Navigators.
- Whoo!
JOSEPH: At this point in
the race, we cannot afford
to make the mistakes
we made before.
You're driving like an old lady,
it's so funny.
This is how I drive.
My best friends say that
I drive like a little grandma.
So-- but I don't care.
I don't smell burnt clutch
anymore, so that's good.
ERIC:
Somewhere around here.
"Q, W, X and Y are the letters
not in the alphabet."
"Original length of the Walls
of Ston was 22,965 feet."
"Famous poet Ivan Gundulic."
All right, I think I got this.
- I'm ready for my questions.
- You got this, dude.
June 25, 1991.
6,007 feet.
22,965.
WOMAN:
I'm sorry.
- Try again.
- Okay, it was the last one.
Dust it off. You got this.
- So get on the edge if you can.
- Yup.
All right.
- Buoy!
- You got it?
- TAYLOR: Oh, boy. Oh, boy.
- Okay.
- Here, switch with me.
- I got it.
- Stay back, though. Don't tilt, remember?
- Okay.
Stay Lean more in this way
so we don't tilt.
Thank you.
Ah, yes. There's a line.
So we have three lines, right?
- All right.
- All right, now we're headed
- that way, right?
- Yup.
JAG:
Let me be the wheelbarrow guy.
You hold.
JAS:
Nice and steady.
The weather is so bad.
Oh, oh.
It's pouring down rain.
We're drenched.
Big puddle coming up.
Keep going.
Whoo!
JAS:
We were going through
- puddles that were
- The biggest puddles I've ever seen.
Oh, my God!
This is ankle-deep water.
- JAG: Ugh.
- JAS: This is crazy.
JAG:
We're not getting off this path.
JAS:
My socks are soaked.
ERIC: I thought I had these
questions answered correctly.
"22,965 feet."
All right, maybe
I got a different one wrong.
But I don't think so.
I had all the numbers correctly,
but I did not specify
that it was 22,965 feet.
- [clapping]
- TUCKER: You got it.
- Take your time.
- Ready? - Ready.
King Tomislav.
They gave me a new set
of questions.
Ivan Gundulic.
So it wasn't just
double-checking the numbers
that I messed up on
the first time.
I then had to answer
a whole new set of questions.
- Congratulations.
- Woo-hoo! - TUCKER: Yeah!
- Let's go! - WOMAN: You did it.
- All right. Thank you.
- For you guys.
- Thank you so much.
- Appreciate it. All right.
- Good job.
Route Info.
BOTH:
"Race to the Pit Stop."
KEOGHAN:
Croatia's beaches are renowned
for their crystal clear waters.
Many regard them as the cleanest
and most pristine in Europe.
And if you're looking
for a picture-perfect
postcard setting,
this might be it--
Prapratno Cove.
This popular romantic
destination is now the Pit Stop
for this leg of the race.
The last team to check in here
may be eliminated.
Cool. Let's just run back
out of here and go ask people.
- Yeah. Yeah.
- Cool. Let's go.
ERIC:
Can we ask you for directions
really quick?
Prapratno?
TUCKER:
Yes.
We're good, we're good,
we're good, we're good.
Whew.
Says, "The last team that
checks in maybe eliminated,"
so it could be
a non-elimination leg.
At least we know
we're not in last.

Let's keep going.
I mean, terrible
to see you guys.
- Whoa.
- Good to see you.
[laughter]
- [Izzy panting]
- PAIGE: There's the wheelbarrow.
- IZZY: Yup.
- PAIGE: They're running past the wheelbarrows,
- so get a wheelbarrow.
- [Izzy panting]
- CHELSIE: Let's get close.
- Okay.
- JACK: Hello. - CHELSIE: Hi.
- MAN: Hello, guys.
- Barrow. - Oh, barrow.
- Yeah. You forget it.
JACK:
"One shovel per team."
IZZY: Jack and
Chelsie were on our tail.
So, strategy-wise, I thought
it would be more efficient
if we can just
fill the bags with salt
Here, hold this open.
make sure that we had
the right number of scoops
[muttering]
That's ten scoops. Let's go
find out how much that weighs.
check so that
they're all the right weight
Okay, a little bit more.
and then dealt
with the sealing later.
One more.
STEPHANIE AND ADAM:
"As long as there's heart,
there will be Croatia."
You got this.
I'm so happy
they're working together.
- King Tomislav.
- [bell dings]
- Q, W, X, Y.
- [bell dings]
- 6,007 feet.
- [bell dings]
- Congratulations.
- Yes?
- You did it. Yes.
- Oh.
- Here you go.
- Thank you. Thank you so much.
- WOMAN: You ready?
- ADAM: Yes.
- June 25, 1991.
- [bell dings]
- Ivan Gundulic.
- [bell dings]
- 1636.
- [bell dings]
- Well done. Congratulations.
- Let's go!
- Let's go!
- Ah!
"Race to the Pit Stop."
Let's go!
Guys, run!
- BOTH: "Last team to check in will be eliminated."
- Let's go!
Steph, we need
to get directions.
STEPHANIE:
Hey, excuse me.
NATALIE: Uh, we have to
go to port village of Prapratno.
- STEPHANIE: Prapratno?
- Uh
- Where did you guys park?
- Right out here.
Okay, 'cause we're parked
right over here.
- We'll meet up by our car.
- Okay.
So we can go together,
and it'll be double-checked.
- Okay.
- JOSEPH: If you guys
can get over here, I'll have
the navigations done by then.
NATALIE:
Over there?
Let me make sure she got
the right location. Each
"Port village of Prapratno."
This is We literally need
to go this way.
Why do you tell people
you're going to wait?
Nat, we're racing right now.
So, should I tell them
we're going to go?
- Yeah.
- We have to go?
Steph, come to
- STEPHANIE: Why are you doing that?
- Sorry.
- 'Cause now it's like
- NATALIE: I'm sorry.
I won't do it again.
So, what, we're gonna sacrifice
a lower place?
Now it's a footrace,
and every inch counts.
I mean, we're not going
to screw them over.
- They got directions, too.
- All right.
That's your call.
Adam, look out
for Natalie and Stephanie.
We're going to go look
for Adam and Joseph.
I don't know
where they're parked.
- They're in a blue car.
- Is that them?
No, they are not.
That's an older car.
NATALIE:
Okay.
I'm just frustrated
'cause, like,
we were right in the position
that we needed to be,
- and we all got the same directions.
- Okay, let's focus.
- Let's focus.
- And now we have to backtrack to wait
for another team.
You're right. You're correct.
STEPHANIE:
All right, did they leave?
"Follow the curve for 414."
- [shouting]: Adam? Joseph?
- All right, turn around.
NATALIE:
We can't find them.
We literally turned
all the way around to find them.
Yeah,
I don't know where they are.
- STEPHANIE: Where'd they go?
- NATALIE: I don't know.
- [shouting]: Adam? Joseph?
- All right, turn around.
Do you want to go wait for them?
'Cause now it's, like
The Train Wreck alliance
is still pretty solid.
I just think we need
to find a balance of helping
and also running the race
at the same time.
Did they come back here, Adam?
No. They're
Why would they do that?
Where are they?
Is that them?
Guys!
- Was it them?
- I don't know where they are.
ADAM: They're probably already
in their car driving there, so
Yeah, but, Joseph,
- you're you know
- 414.
I'm sorry, Steph, but they are
our alliance, and, like
No, they are,
but I'm just saying,
it doesn't make sense
for us to backtrack.
They should be
meeting up with us
instead of us going back.
- Sorry about the holdup.
- Thank you, sir.
Let's go.
I don't see Natalie and Steph.
They're probably long gone,
- if I'm gonna be honest with you.
- Okay.
- Flat, flat, flat. Super, super flat.
- Yup.
IZZY: Why is it doing that?
Do you know why it's doing that?
PAIGE:
I don't know.
It's our last one.
The sealer is screwing us up.
I think I'm, like,
pushing too hard,
but then if I don't push
hard enough
You know, finding the finesse of
the sealer is slowing us down.
Six. Let me see. Oh, let
Oh, come on, fill this thing up.
Let's go.
We are so far behind right now.
Let's go.
It's all the way
where we came in.
- Okay.
- Why is that happening?
Okay, that is
extremely frustrating. Okay.
Okay, okay.
PAIGE:
Okay, slow and steady.
They'll be back.
Hopefully.
- KRISTINE: Nobody's here.
- RUBINA: Nope.
KRISTINE:
Do we need to go around? Here.
- RUBINA: Maybe.
- Okay.
- RUBINA: That's the restaurant.
- That is the restaurant.
- RUBINA: Yeah, but where does this go?
- Bota Sare.
RUBINA: "Choose any
available marked rowboat."
KRISTINE: Well, there's
no marked boats near here.
RUBINA:
Yeah. Unless we missed it.
- Yay!
- Hello, Phil.
- KEOGHAN: Well, hello.
- Please tell us good news.
- Ah!
- Whoa.
That looks like the other team
over here.
- STEPHANIE: There they are.
- Yes. Hurry!
- We were looking for them.
- [horn tooting]
[laughing]
- ADAM: We're coming, Phil!
- We're coming, Phil!
- Hurry up!
- KEOGHAN: Oh, my God. They are literally
- the noisiest team I think we've ever had.
- [laughing]
- Give me my backpack.
- I'm not stopping. I'm not stopping.
- Oh!
- Aah! Incoming! [laughs]
Guys, we drove
- to look for you all around.
- No, it's okay. Sorry.
- We were, like, honking.
- We're bad navigators.
JOSEPH: I have so much
respect for these two. Like,
we came into here
not even knowing each other,
and I have so much love
for these two.
I want
to see them make it to the end.
We feel the same way
with you guys.
It's, like,
you guys make us feel like home.
- Same to you, Nat.
- KEOGHAN: Aw. - You know?
- We have some salt for you.
- JACK: Hello. - MAN: Hello.
- Thank you.
- Thank you.
It's good.
It's good.
CHELSIE:
Everything was great
MAN:
It's good.
It's good.
- No good.
- Ugh.
until
the eighth bag.
This is not good.
- Two bags.
- Yes.
Oh. It's good.
CHELSIE: We have to take
that trek all the way back,
so we're gonna run fast.
- Do you want me to keep a hand here?
- Help me, yeah.
PAIGE: Jack and Chelsie
are running back this way.
- Let's go, ladies. Let's go.
- We'll see you soon.
PAIGE:
They hadn't finished.
- Let's go. Let's go, Izzy.
- Yup.
PAIGE:
That's when
every bag started to feel,
- like, really, really important.
- Ah. [laughs]
Yeah.
RUBINA:
Oh, maybe that one's marked.
- That one
- It's literally marked right there.
- was marked.
- We were here.
- KRISTINE: Yeah.
- RUBINA: We can do this.
- KRISTINE: Yeah. Yeah.
- Right?
RUBINA:
If it helps me to do one side?
- KRISTINE: Yeah. Sorry.
- Okay, let's just do it.
We have to stay together.
So you want
to do it like this?
- RUBINA: Yeah
- Okay.
Row.
I think we need to do,
like, a two beat.
Okay, then you just
count it off, then.
- One and two.
- One.
- RUBINA: We're doing good.
- One and two.
- IZZY: What did we want to do with this puddle?
- Go straight through it.
- Are you sure?
- Yeah.
- IZZY: Oh, my God.
- Oh.
IZZY:
Ugh. Okay.
PAIGE: You're okay.
Just don't dump it here.
- IZZY: I know, I know.
- We're already set.
IZZY:
I know.
I think
we made the right choice.
- Yup.
- But am I happy about it?
- Absolutely not.
- No.
IZZY: She carried that net
last time, so I can push this
- That's my girl.
- beep-ass wheelbarrow.
PAIGE:
She's venting. She's venting.
- Ugh. Ah, baby.
- Coming.
- PAIGE: It's okay.
- Ugh.
Okay. Stop. Stop.
Do you want
to travel around the world
on The Amazing Race?
You think
you have what it takes to win?
If so, go to cbs.com/casting
and apply now.
- Ugh. Ah, baby.
- Coming.
- It's okay.
- I hit a I snagged a thing.
- Okay.
- I'm sorry. I'm really, really, really sorry.
Okay. Stop. Stop.
IZZY: I did find the salt Detour
deeply, deeply frustrating.
Ugh.
I just wanted to, like,
bulldoze through it.
Can we put them better?
Like, the leaning them up
like this is not good.
- Yeah.
- Okay?
- Lay them flat?
- Yeah, I need Like bricks.
I was just, like, cranky.
- Ugh.
- Breathe.
I apologize to the salt mine
[both laugh]
for kicking
their wheelbarrow. [laughs]
Carry that one
for a little bit. Let me see
- You don't have to do it.
- Let me see.
I can go a little bit.
I can go a little bit.
Carry that one.
JACK: We both have
willpower and endurance.
The run is not easy.
- You're going through mud and water and
- Double-check.
JACK: Izzy and them
are right in front of us.
We just got
to book it past them.
We can beat 'em
footracing there.
All right, we're out of here.
- Shipping is still down here.
- A little bit further.
PAIGE:
They're behind us.
[Izzy sighs]
- PAIGE: Hi.
- MAN: Hi.
It's beautiful, right?
- Yes. Beautiful.
- Aw.
There's this one.
I made it for you myself.
- It's good.
- PAIGE: That one's good.
- IZZY: It is so good.
- MAN: Yeah. Good.
Oh, this one's my favorite one.
- [bell dinging]
- So far, they got 'em.
- MAN: Good.
- They got one more.
- It's good.
- It's good!
It's good.
We're gonna be
neck and neck again.
- Oh. Thank you so much.
- Oh, thank you.
- Thank you.
- Thank you.
- Thank you so much.
- PAIGE: Thank you.
- And now
- CHELSIE: We're back.
Is everything good?
It's good.
- Yes, thank you.
- It's-a good.
- Yes, it is. Yes, it is.
- All right, thank you.
- It's good!
- It's good. It's good.
- Yes. You put in your
- It's good.
"Make your way to Park Komarda."
PAIGE: It's in Ston, though.
We're not going far.
- For you.
- Thank you so much.
Thank you, boss.
Thank you, thank you.
- Let's do it.
- All right.
RUBINA: We feel pretty good
about our decision to row.
Our rowing strategy,
well, we keep changing it up,
but we're almost there, though.
- One, two.
- Two.
- One, two.
- One, two.
JACK:
There's a park.
"Relief map."
So, I see three markers
and then a street, a street,
then a park.
IZZY:
Where is the relief map?
There's Jack. Oh, I see it.
I see it. Hey, Jack.
You want to do this together?
There's people behind us.
Uh
All right, cool, cool, cool.
Do your thing. That's fine.
Turn right at the tree. Okay.
CHELSIE:
Go, Dad!
Use that brain!
Izzy said,
"Let's work together."
But there's one more group
behind us, so
this is a tough one.
Um, I'm pretty stressed
about this one.
Trying to figure out
where I am first.
Oh, I hate this. I hate this.
I'm trying to not hate this.
KRISTINE: Turn that way.
I mean, I am turning.
- Yeah.
- Okay.
Good job.
Sick.
- My glasses!
- No!
[Kristine laughs softly]
- RUBINA: Those are cheap.
- Can you see?
- I'll buy new ones when I win Amazing Race.
- Okay.
- Down to the bottom of
the ocean. - [Kristine laughs]
Wait. I can't
I have to put the weight here.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Those are
my prescription glasses.
So
you know that's fine.
I don't think
a lot of people chose this.
- All right.
- Okay.
- Let's go.
- Let's go, let's go, let's go.
IZZY:
Um, June 25,
Uh yes, good.
Okay.
"tallest mountain 6,007."
"The coastline is 3,625"
- Okay. You got it, Jack.
- All right.
KRISTINE:
I'm using my body.
We go faster if we go together.
- Okay.
- One.
Two.
If we keep the pace,
then we won't lose speed.
Two.
[panting]
Okay. Ooh, I see it.
Okay, good.
"'As long as there is heart,
there will be Croatia.'"
[panting]
Hello.
- Hello. - How are you?
- Let's go, Dad.
- 36,025.
- I'm sorry. You need to try again.
- Okay, let's try it.
- All right, Izzy.
22,965.
I'm sorry.
You need to try again.
[Izzy mutters]
I would like oxygen
to go to my brain
so I can remember these facts.
KRISTINE:
Row. Row.
Iceberg straight ahead!
"Back entrance of Bota Sare."
Come on, come on, come on.
- Hi.
- Yeah.
Hi.
[panting]
- Sorry. There's some
- KRISTINE: Sorry.
[panting]
- Got it?
- Yay.
- Thank you so much.
- Yay. Thank you so much.
- Thank you so much.
- Okay.
"June 25, 1991."
"June 25, 1991."
[muttering]:
Tomislav
CHELSIE:
Good job, Izzy-Iz.
Oh, and Dad. Whoo!
[Izzy panting]
- June 25, 1991.
- [bell dings]
- Q, W, X and Y.
- [bell dings]
- 1636.
- [bell dings]
- Congratulations. Well done.
- Thank you. Thank you so much.
CHELSIE:
Let's go, Dad.
- "Race to the Pit Stop."
- All right, let's go.
- All right, I'm back.
- Hi. You're back.
"As long as there is heart,
there will be Croatia."
- Ivan, uh, Gundulic.
- [bell dings]
- 1636.
- [bell dings]
- Congratulations.
- Yes! Yes! Yes!
- Thank you. Thank you.
- He got it right. Let's go.
PAIGE:
Do you guys have a GPS?
Oh, that would be amazing.
CHELSIE:
"Race to the Pit Stop."
- Okay, let's go.
- All right.
CHELSIE:
Yes. Yes.
- We're just gonna go that way?
- Yeah.
Prapratno. Prapratno.
- Thank you so much.
- Thank you, sir.
- All right.
- We just left Izzy and Paige.
They're right behind us
getting directions.
We're headed to the Pit Stop
right now, so
it's gonna be
we're gonna be neck and neck,
but we do know--
Rubina and Kristine--
that they're behind us.
Slow down. Slow down, please.
The village is gonna be
on the right-hand side.
Maybe this is the parking?
IZZY: Jack and
Chelsie are in front of us.
PAIGE:
They can get ahead of us.
- They won't know where they're going.
- I know, I know.
- Do you want to go this way?
- Yeah. We're
- IZZY: Oh, my God.
- We got to get to our car first.
IZZY: It said
one team may be eliminated.
- PAIGE: Maybe eliminated.
- It did not say "will."
BOTH:
It said "may."
This has got to be the village.
- Park Komarda, the left.
- Okay.
Oh, that's someone
just getting here. Let's go.
It's a little tight.
Oh me.
- Come on.
- Okay.
PAIGE:
Let's go. Stay on the right.
- Stay on the right.
- Yeah.
Hold on. I'm reading
the additional information.
I'll read it, and
- It just says Park Komarda.
- Okay.
IZZY:
Holy
Okay, so we want
to go south on this.
JACK:
What's the name of it?
Village of Prapratno,
down to the beach.
Prapratno.
Oh, I pray this guy was right.
Prapratno.
Yup, we're going the right way.
Village of Prapratno.
IZZY:
We want to go south.
PAIGE:
This looks like north right now.
Uh
It feels like
we're going out of town.
I'm not sure I feel oriented.
Okay, so we want
to go the other direction?
I don't I don't know.
Oh, my God.
Me only. "Search the village
of Ston on foot."
KRISTINE:
We were the last clue, so
I'm just hoping
that she can get this done
and then we can just keep going.
That's all we can do is
just keep going
and not give up.
"Croatian facts."
"Q, W, X and Y
are the letters
not in the alphabet." Okay.
"Height of the tallest
mountain 6,007 feet."
Six. 007.
Okay, I need to look
for that one more. One more.
Whoa.
"Jack and Chelsie
you're team number six."
- [laughing]
- Yes.
- We're still in this.
- Yeah.
PAIGE:
I think maybe.
I think we need to ask. I don't
feel good about where we are.
- Okay.
- There's a guy up here.
Excuse me.
Do you know where Prapratno is?
- Let's get out.
- Yup.
So this first place to turn,
we turn?
- Okay.
- Thank you.
We go back this way.
Okay, so we think we're
we now understand
how to get to Prapratno.
- [clapping]
- You got this.
- King Tomislav.
- [bell dings]
22,965.
I'm sorry.
You need to try again.
- Okay.
- You got this.
Hey, Phil.
Wow. Wow. Scuba. Wow.
- That's incredible.
- Oh, my God. - Izzy and Paige,
- you want to stay in this race?
- We do.
Well, you get to stay in this
race. You're team number seven.
- Okay, good.
- Congratulations.
- Thank you very much, Phil.
- Consistency, Phil.
- Congratulations.
- Yay!
- Thank you.
- Good luck.
- "Race to the Pit Stop."
- "may be eliminated."
- Okay.
- Let's go.
- Let's do this.
- Let's go see Phil.
- Yeah!
- Thank you.
We made the right choice
for that Roadblock, though.
- Yeah, we did. We did.
- This way.
- Phil!
- Phil!
Aren't you glad to see me?
- Ah!
- Phil!
- Yeah.
- Yeah, we are.
Kristine and Rubina,
I am sorry to tell you
that you are the last team
to arrive today.
Yeah, I know.
And unfortunately, you have
been eliminated from this race.
- It's okay.
- It's okay.
- We did our best.
- Yeah, we did.
- I'm so proud of us.
- I'm really proud of us.
- KRISTINE: We wanted to have
- RUBINA: Have fun today.
We grew up watching the show
with our mom.
KRISTINE: We really
wanted to make her proud.
- Right.
- So I feel good.
- I hope she's looking down on us.
- Yeah, right?
We've already gone through so
much together in regular life,
but this just taught us
so much more about ourselves
and about each other.
- We made it halfway
- Mm-hmm.
and being half the size
of everyone else,
- I feel like we made it all the way.
- Yeah.
And you know who's left
in The Amazing Race.
Do you feel like there's a team
that you would like
to see take out the win?
Um, I would love
to see Izzy and Paige win.
Yeah, Izzy and Paige, for sure.
RUBINA: I know that
sounds Look, Tucker
is my boyfriend, um,
and he's good at everything.
Uh, and it would make sense
if he won, but I would
I'm just I love an underdog.
And I would love
to still see a female team
- take it home.
- Female team. For sure.
Sorry, not sorry. Love you.
