The Amazing Race (2001) s38e08 Episode Script

Oh Egg, Where Art Thou

1
PHIL KEOGHAN: Previously on
The Amazing Race
seven teams jumped into Romania.
I love The Amazing Race!
KEOGHAN:
Things got messy at the Detour.
- Get out of my-- Oh!
- Oh
- It's really disgusting.
- Okay.
KEOGHAN:
Izzy and Paige
got off to a slow start.
No, no, no, no, no.
No, no, no.
KEOGHAN: But their
calm and patient attitudes--
- Hey, hey.
- I'm gonna lay these out
Let's just take a breath.
kept them in the race.
It's good! [yells]
KEOGHAN: Tucker and
Eric continued to dominate,
winning their fourth leg
in a row.
Meanwhile
Listen to me.
We need to work together.
a bad leg
for former front-runners
Natalie and Stephanie
We need to--
Steph, you need to speak, okay?
ended in their elimination.
I feel like
we went from sisters to
amazing friends
on The Amazing Race.
KEOGHAN: Coming up
tonight, the Express Pass
must be played.
We know Tucker and Eric
have a lead ahead of us.
If we're able to catch them
with our Express Pass,
that would be great.
KEOGHAN:
But will it be enough
to stop Tucker and Eric's
dominating four-leg
winning streak?
- Ah
- Yes, Eric! We got to go!
ERIC:
We just beat Jas and Jag.
We're at least
one train ahead of them now.
We're neck and neck with them.

All right, Route Info.
"Make your way
to Bucharest Herastrau Park
in the heart of Bucharest
to find your next clue."
All teams will make their way
to Herastrau Park,
the largest city park
in Bucharest.
This swirling green space
offers unobstructed views
of the city skyline.
Throughout the race,
teams have been
winning OneKeyCash from Expedia.
Today, they will take part
in an Expedia-inspired adventure
with authentic experiences
just like those found
on the Expedia app.
All right, sweet.
Let's go ask someone. This way.
ERIC: "You must not travel
by taxi until further notice."
Could we ask you for directions?
We don't have a phone.
We're looking to go
to Bucharest Herastrau Park,
or King Michael Park.
We definitely think
that we're seen
as threats.
I mean, we've won
four legs in a row.
We have a great relationship.
We know when to push the other
person, when to back off.
TUCKER: We know that the
Express Passes are coming out,
but it definitely feels good
to be in first,
knowing we have a big target
on our back, so
bring it on!
We take the M2.
That's the Metro 2,
- right? - MAN: Yes.
- MAN 2: Yep.
Perfect. That's all
we needed. Thank you very much.
- Thanks, guys. Appreciate it.
- Appreciate it. Thank you,
- Thank you, thank you.
- guys. Thank you, sir.
This is where
we make up time, baby!
- Let's go.
- This is where we get the lead.
ERIC: Yeah, I think
that's the Metro station.
We're going to the fifth stop.
- There it is.
- There you go.
- Ready to rock.
- Let's boogie.
Okay. "Make your way
to Bucharest Herastrau Park."
Let's go, and then
let's try to find this
So we're leaving
in second place today.
And we still got
the Express Pass,
which is valid
through leg eight.
And it looks like
it's leg eight
-right now. So we're gonna be
-JAS: Yep.
using this bad boy
during this leg.
Metro Yeah, down.
Just go down. Downstairs.
Not only are we really close,
we're close
with our entire family.
Our parents-- they're the most
hardworking people
that we know. They've
sacrificed so much for us.
We're getting that much closer
to the final leg
and hopefully taking home
the million dollars.
And we just want to, like,
retire our parents.
We know Tucker and Eric
have a lead ahead of us,
probably by 30 minutes or so.
-So I mean, if we're able
-Yeah.
to catch them
with our Express Pass,
that would be great.
TUCKER:
Yeah, it's good.
ERIC:
This is our path, right here.
Feeling good.
TUCKER: There he is.
All right.
Roadblock.
"Who's ready for
an Expedia experience?"
- I am.
- That's you.
Eggs became part
of Easter celebrations
as a way of symbolizing new life
and the resurrection of Jesus.
These intricately decorated
pieces of art
have become more and more
detailed over time,
with the distinctive use
of color and symbols.
This Roadblock
requires teams to go
on a Romanian Easter egg hunt,
searching this grassy field
full of eggs
for one that is
exactly like
these giant eggs on display.
They must then roll their egg
to an "eggs-purt" --
a giant chicken--
for verification.
If they get it right
the first time,
it'll be over easy
and they'll get a clue.
All right.
Sir chicken.
All righty.
Let's look for some eggs here.
You got this, Eric.
There's a giant chicken
and giant eggs.
I had to go search
for the Easter egg
that matched the giant eggs.
I go--
Oh, let's go. All right.
So this is how big they are.
This is not what the giant eggs
look like, I mean.
Kind of like a cross
and an X, I guess,
is more what I'm looking for.
But now I know
what size,
and they are quite small.
TUCKER: Eric's doing some
Easter egg hunting to find the egg
and deliver it to the chicken.
Right there.
[laughs]
This is definitely a Roadblock
that teams can get stuck at
for a long time,
and I'm sure hoping
I'm not one of those teams.

"Make your way
to Bucharest Herastrau Park
to find your next clue."
Let's go, let's go.
"Make your way
to Bucharest Herastrau Park."
- Let's do it.
- Let's move.
All right, let's move, boys.
- There we go. - M2!
- KYLAND: Yep, that's--
There's that, so
JOSEPH:
Yay, that's the right one.
We're working
with Taylor and Kyland.
We're running, right now,
in third place.
At this point,
I've been a diabetic
longer in my life
than I have not been.
Since I've been 12 years old,
I've been dealing with this.
JOSEPH:
It's something other teams
don't even have to
take into consideration today
with how tight this race
is about to be.
We have two uses
of an Express Pass,
a very strong team that's
holding first place right now,
and Adam and I
just can't let that
get to our head.
We're gonna
handle these challenges
and just stay alive this leg.
KYLAND: This leg is our last
opportunity to use the Express Pass,
so we're definitely
gonna use it at some point.
TAYLOR: There's a lot of race
left to run and we're planning
on being in it
till the very end.
I'm running with
the love of my life
and the best team's
standing next to us too, so,
- I was the love of her life.
- it's the best part--
Oh, shut the hell up.
- We need to get here.
- Okay.
CHELSIE:
You know, two teams that
have Express Passes--
they have to
use it today--
it's not good for us, okay?
JACK: Most important thing for
us has been navigational issues.
So we have to navigate well.
We don't want to be at the back.
we're trying to push forward.
All right, here we go.
We want to go toward it north,
- towards Pipera.
- Okay.
- We're getting on, yeah?
- We're getting on.
PAIGE: This is the first time
that sixth place
has also been last place.
IZZY: I mean, we're
not a super athletic
or fast running team.
We really like
the detail-oriented tasks,
the creative things.
I'm itching
for a music challenge.
PAIGE: Dare I say, if we
get a music challenge today,
we just might
become religious people.
- Yeah. [laughs]
- We'll see.
The intensity's definitely
gonna be dialed up
when more teams get here.
Got it. Keep looking.
Oh, egg, where art thou?
Let's go!
Now Jas and Jag are here, baby.
Jas and Jag I think we consider
as our biggest competition.
ERIC: We're here as
competitors, there's a lot
of pride on the line.
So, you know, I think that
we both respect each other,
but at the same time,
we're both trying
to get first place.
Okay, who's ready for
an Expedia experience? I am.
- He's gonna do it.
- Okay.
Needle in the haystack.
I'm saying we should use
our Express Pass because
it's, like, all time and luck.
- We're gonna use our Express Pass.
- We're using our Express Pass.
- Let's go!
- See you, boys.
Here you go,
our beautiful Express Pass.
- All right, thank you.
- Beautiful.
- Thank you.
- Okay, we need to go here.
- We need to find this place.
- What is this?

Teams will decide on a Detour
after picking up a clue in
front of the People's Palace,
the heaviest building
in the world,
weighing 4.1 million tons.
"Wish you were here" postcard.
Okay.
- All right, perfect.
- Sounds good. Let's find--
Let's ask this person.
Excuse me, do you know
- where this is?
- MAN: Oh, check the phone?
- Yes.
- Yes. Can we see how to get there? Directions?
Oh, this might be the my egg.
See if I got my egg, baby.
TUCKER:
Let's go, Eric!
ERIC:
Oh, this is looking money.
Oh, this is it.
Come on, Eric.
They just used
their Express Pass, dude.
Bring it over.
- Sir Chicken Master?
- Oh!
Get ready to rock.
Is this my egg?
Is that a good egg?
- Ah, we got it, let's go.
- Yes sir! We gotta go. They just
used their Express, bro,
- come on.
- All right, let's go. So
So, it's like,
that big parliament building
or some government building.
- It's right there.
- Okay, go, go, go, go, go, go, go.
- Let's run.
- Grab your stuff, your bag's right there.
- Let's just run.
- Whoo!
ERIC:
Yeah!
- Okay, let's do it.
- They just find it?
- Yeah.
- Okay.
- Huh?
- JAG: We all-- we know where it's at.
- You know where it is?
- Yeah.
- No.
- Just go?
No, go go to
the train station, it's there.
Okay, thank you.
Let's go.
Let's catch up. We
We're going back
to the same train station.
TUCKER:
Ah, let's go.
Let's go, let's try to get this.
ERIC: Dude, but we
don't know what station.
Tuck, we-- - We'll
figure it out on the train.
It's here right now.
We can get on before 'em.
It's huge.
Excuse me, sir, could you
help us with directions?
We're just trying to get here.
- ERIC: Say again?
- Yes!
ERIC: Piata Unirii? Okay.
- JAG: Did we miss it?
- JAS: Yeah.
JAG:
Damn.
Oh, right here.
Yeah, it's Unirii.
We just left here,
so we have four stops to go.
So, we just beat Jas and Jag.
We're at least one train
ahead of them now.
JAG:
We barely missed the train.
Cost us about five minutes,
I think.
We're neck and neck
with them, too.
TAYLOR:
To the box!
- We got it, baby.
- Good work.
I'll read, babe.
- Go ahead.
- Thanks.
[Taylor exhales heavily]
- Roadblock.
- Roadblock.
"Who's ready
for an Expedia experience?"
I'm doing it.
- You want me to?
- Move.
All right, I'll do it.
- [clucks loudly]
- Thank you.
TAYLOR:
Go get it, baby, I love you.
Why is only one done?
Oh, maybe the Express Pass?
Pink?
JOSEPH: They're working
together, but it looks like
they're having a hiccup.
- You better win something.
- I got to get to a finale, man.
- Like
- You really do. I'll get you there.
Don't worry.
I'll put you on my back.
- Let's go.
- Come on, come on. Get-get on my back.
I got you, I got you, I got you.
Whoa! [laughs]
- You're nothing but muscle.
- [laughing]
Yo, there's eggs.
Adam, Adam.
Eggs. That's what I'm saying.
Those are all the same.
We need to find
the matching eggs.
- Yeah, see, we're trying to find ones that match that.
- Yeah, but
I see what you're saying.
Nope.
KYLAND:
Let me follow this outer rim.
Start inside and move out.
I do think this
is a decent Roadblock
for me to take over Joseph
due to my diabetes,
but it is-it is gonna be
taxing on the body, over time.
CHELSIE: We're headed
to King Michael Park.
That's got to be King Michael
up there, all those heads.
That's got to be him.
He's very vain.
He has, like, eight heads.
That's different ones.
Darn it.
- CHELSIE: King Michael, where art thou?
- All right.
- PAIGE: See the park?
- Yes.
Excuse me, do you know
where King Michael Park is?
- Down that way.
- Down to the right.
To the right. Perfect.
- Okay.
- Thank you so much.
Thank you. Appreciate it.
We're on a race. Thank you.
CHELSIE: That was, like,
20, 30 minutes, it cost us.
I'm sure Izzy and Paige
are already there.
PAIGE:
Let's go in here, yeah?
Okay. Yeah.
I think it's right up there.
- There's two clues in here.
- That's impressive.
- Oh.
- IZZY: Roadblock.
- You want me to do it?
- I think I do.
I'm doing it.
I'm doing this Roadblock.
I think I'm pretty good at this.
Um, what scares me
about challenges like this
are that teams have
already been there,
so eggs are already missing,
so the field gets smaller.
If I were an egg,
where might I be?
Oh, man, this is crazy.
ADAM:
These eggs are hard to find.
Kyland, you think you found any?
KYLAND:
Nope, not even close.
So there's one that matches.
So that's what I'm looking for.
- What's up, Izzy?
- IZZY: Hey Kyland.
- Happy Easter. [laughs]
- Happy Easter.
I found a bunch of eggs.
I know
I'm in the right area
for searching.
None of these are right.
The pressure is definitely on.
This can for sure
be an equalizer right now,
so I'm definitely feeling it.
I have an egg with me.
I highly doubt it's the egg.
Might semi look like it.
I literally
did not know
what I was looking for.
There were hundreds of eggs
in that field
with trees and dust and pollen
and grass and leaves everywhere.
JOSEPH:
You got this, Adam.
ADAM: I'm taking a shot
in the dark here. [laughs]
JOSEPH:
There you go.
Okay. All right.
So I know this was a no.
Okay, Adam did not get it,
so that's good.
I'm happy about that.
Rip it, please.
"Who's ready for
an Expedia experience?"
I am.
- Hey.
- What's up?
What the freak?
Yeah, girl, what?
This is
This is a nightmare.
What's up, Chels?
What's up, Kyland,
what's up, bro?
- I'm seeing nothing. [chuckles]
- CHELSIE: Nothing?
I mean, I'm seeing eggs,
but nothing close.
KYLAND: We have the Express
Pass. We don't want to use it
'cause we'd rather
save it for a Detour.
But in my head, I was like,
"We can't be last here.
"So, if two
of these people leave,
we're gonna have to use
the Express Pass."
It's a needle in a haystack
situation,
so it could be anyone's game.
This is going
the right direction, right?
They're eight minutes apart.
We're going against
Tucker and Eric,
who are extremely fast.
We have to be on our A game.
So, we're getting off
at this next stop.
Seems like a massive
parliament building,
so we shouldn't
be able to miss it.
ERIC:
I hope.
- TUCKER: Let's do it.
- We got this.
Excuse me.
We don't have a phone.
How do we get here?
It's this way?
- Yeah.
- Okay.
- So, just around this?
- Through, yeah.
- Thank you.
- Okay.
I see it.
All right.
It's right in the center,
right up there.
- We love The Amazing Race, baby.
- We love it.
There it is.
TUCKER:
There it is.
[exhales]
Rip and read.
Detour. "Find the Beat
or Hit the Note."

Dance Dean Aredel is a
traditional Romanian folk dance
that's been around
for more than 200 years.
This Detour gives teams a chance
to step up and give it a go.
When the choreographer
gives them the thumbs up
- they'll get a clue.
- Hey!
The Romanian pan flute
is distinguished
by its curved shape,
which shortens the distance
between the pipes,
making it easier
for expert players like Radu
to play
more complicated tunes.
The varying lengths of the pipes
determine the notes
that are played.
Each team member must assemble
a flatter beginner's version
of Romania's most treasured
instrument
and then play a tune.
[flute playing]
When Radu says it's noteworthy,
they'll get a clue.
We're gonna Hit the Note.
CHELSIE: I have one
in my hand, so I'm gonna
go just get it checked
just to see.
My daughter's back
with her first egg,
and, uh
she's setting it up,
so we're just waiting.
- Okay
- JACK: Let's go, Chels.
CHELSIE:
This your egg?
No. Okay.
Thank you, chicken.
All right, egg,
let's get you back!
It's close.
Actually, I think
this might be it.
PAIGE:
Let's go, Izzy.
IZZY: I don't know,
baby. I don't know, baby,
but I'm gonna check.
PAIGE: All right,
Izzy. Let's go, Izzy.
IZZY:
Hello, chicken.
- JOSEPH: Nice.
- TAYLOR: Let's go.
IZZY: Thank you, chicken.
I love chickens.
- Thank you so much.
- Izzy! Let's go!
- Thank you.
- Let's go. We're going here.
CHELSIE:
Dang it. They got it.
And we are still searching.
Hold on a second.
White triangles, red Xs.
ADAM:
You got something?
I'm gonna try this one.
- White squares.
- Yeah.
- I think that's what it is.
- Red diamonds.
- So let me see if this works.
- Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I could be way off.
TAYLOR:
Come on, baby!
Boom.
Check.
TAYLOR:
Yes!
- [laughs]
- KYLAND: Let's go!
Thank you. Appreciate you.
Ha. Ah.
[sighs]
- Expedia out of here.
- All right.
- Expedia.
- Good job.
- Good job. Good luck.
- Thank you. Thank you.
That chicken looked sinister.
That chicken was soulless.
He had no--
KYLAND: No, the chicken was
welcoming, as far as I was concerned.
Oh no, that chicken
was staring me down on the side.
I had to tell that thing, like,
"Don't look at me.
Don't look at me. Look over
there. Don't look at me."
- O-Okay.
- Let's go, let's go.
Okay, my daughter's here
with her second try.
All right, let's go, let's go.
CHELSIE:
This your egg?
- JACK: Yes!
- [exclaims, laughs]
Thank you. Let's go!
This is literally terrible.
- All right, bye, y'all.
- Good luck, guys.
- All right. See you guys. Good luck.
- See you guys.
This is tough. [sighs]
I don't know.
I was there in that field,
all alone.
Despair started to set in.
That's-that's the truth.
I felt like
I was a disappointment.
I knew what the egg
I was looking for--
what it looked like.
However, I just
could not find it.
Just trying to find this egg.
I just can't find this egg.
I just can't find this egg.
[sighing]
I'm searching every tree
looking for this egg,
and I just can't find it.
JOSEPH: We were the
second team to get here.
It looks like Adam's struggling
pretty hard with this Roadblock.
It requires a lot
of attention to detail.
We're last place. All the teams
zoomed out of here.
So I'm trying
to stay optimistic.
I-I just still can't find it.
Greenery, right there, fountain.
Come on, this way.
Beautiful! This is gorgeous.
Oh, there's Jas and Jag.
- TUCKER: Light it up, boys!
- ERIC: Good luck, fellas.
What's up?
Almost there.
Let's hope this Romanian dance
is no walk in the "pahk,"
uh, 'cause we chose
the pan flute.
- Detour.
- Detour.
"Find the Beat or Hit the Note."
- Find the Beat.
- Yeah?
- Yeah.
- Find the Beat. All right.
Let's do it.
IZZY: We want to go
towards "Tudor Rii"
PAIGE:
Looks like
- a team up there.
- IZZY: Yeah. Chelsie and Jack.
Oh, and there's
Taylor and Kyland.
JACK:
Here it comes.
You have your ticket?
Rather be with them
in this Detour.
- You did excellent.
- Thank you.
Izzy and Paige, Chelsie and Jack
on the same train as us.
So we're all tied
for third right now.
We know for sure Adam and Joseph
are not on this train.
We don't even know if they've
yet completed the Roadblock.
I feel as if I've checked
every single spot
in this whole forest.
I want to take this one.
I need this to be the egg.
- Yes.
- Yes, good job, Adam!
- Let's go.
- I'm so sorry, Joseph.
Don't be sorry.
We're still in this.
Okay, we got to
get out of here, Adam.
- ERIC: Here we go.
- TUCKER: Right there.
- ERIC: Marked gate, marked path.
- That's it.
TUCKER:
Right up here.
- MAN: Hello.
- TUCKER: Hello.
This way.
Oh, it's gonna be so, so fun.
- Right here.
- Should be second. Let's
- let's just organize 'em all.
- First.
There, we got flat edges.
ERIC:
So this is the bottom.
TUCKER:
There's a flat side.
All these flat things are at
the bottom, just so you know.
We had to build two flutes.
There was, like, seven or eight
kind of flute pieces.
One side of 'em was very flat.
The other side had a little,
like, dip for your lip to go on.
ERIC: The fact that it's
assembling a flute and learning
a quick little jingle,
uh, we definitely feel like
we made the right decision.
JAS:
It's right here somewhere.
Right here.
- JAG: Oh, I see the marker.
- Marker.
- JAG: Time to dance.
- Upstairs.
- Ooh-wee.
- Hey!
JAG:
Pick someone.
Okay.
You guys want to help us?
- Let's do it.
- Okay. Perfect. Thank you.
- Then come with us.
- Perfect.
JAS: I honestly love
going to the dance Detours.
It's not like we're
extremely strong dancers,
but we did
a dancing Detour earlier,
and we loved it.
It's just a cool way
to learn about the culture.
Yay.
- Then come with us.
- Let's go.
- Thank you.
- Let's do it.
- We'll be back.
- Oh, that's fun.
- You need to change.
- JAS: Yes.
It was a traditional, like,
Romanian folk dance,
and so we had to wear
- the traditional attire for that.
- JAG: Yeah.
Woo!
For the boy,
he's going to be, like, walking.
One, two, three.
And girl--
- one, two, three.
- JAG: Okay.
- MAN: Okay.
- WOMAN: Okay?
[playing notes on flute]
TUCKER:
Yeah, let's figure out the song.
So you must choose
one instructor.
Okay.
- And who wants it?
- You're our guy.
- Okay.
- All right.
INSTRUCTOR:
Come with me outside.
One of you must choose
the blue color
and the other, the yellow.
- TUCKER: I'll do blue, you do yellow.
- All right.
Okay, to play to the pan flute,
you must
blow-- yes? --
your the air flow,
uh, in front at constant.
INSTRUCTOR:
You have three in a row down
- ERIC: Yeah?
- one jump, down,
-one jump up again to the three,
-ERIC: Yeah.
- two fours, one three and five.
- ERIC: And a jump.
It was definitely
a good learning curve
to have the song sort of
laid out there on a big poster.
Seeing the numbers there,
what we needed to do--
um, that kind of made it
a bit easier and, you know,
sort of
brought me back to, like,
using the recorder
and some "Hot Cross Buns."
- Just-just keep rolling with it.
- Dude. I c-- I got it.
[man vocalizing]
- Change the hand. [vocalizing]
- No, other way.
- You're forcing it, you're forcing it.
- I know. Okay.
You're-you're gonna be
like this, right?
I go [vocalizing]
Nope. Nope.
- Let me do with you again.
- JAG: I don't know what it was
with the spinning.
- No, no, the other ways.
- Other way.
JAG:
I thought
I was spinning the correct way.
- Three
- Not the same way. The other way now.
JAG: But he knew
which way to spin me,
so I was like,
"Okay, I'll just kind of
let him lead me to spin"
which way I had to spin.
- Yes. Two spins, yes.
- Got it.
- TAYLOR: Go, baby, go!
- KYLAND: Clue box.
Thank you.
TAYLOR: Detour.
- "Find the Beat or Hit the Note."
- "Hit the Note."
We're gonna do
whichever one's closer.
Excuse me. Can you able to
look up either of these places?
'Cause we don't have our phones.
- Thank you so much.
- Hi. So hot! [chuckles]
KYLAND:
Yeah, can you zoom out again?
As soon as we opened
the envelope
and saw "Detour," like,
we already had in our heads
we were gonna use
the Express Pass on the Detour.
So, our only goal was like,
"Let's find out
which one's closer."
We're gonna do
the Find the Beat Detour
- 'cause it's closer.
- Closer.
We'll use our Express Pass.
JACK:
All right, here we go.
- We're here.
- Detour.
Detour. Flute.
We're gonna do Hit the Note.
We're gonna do the flute.
- Let's do it!
- Let's do it.
- IZZY: Detour.
- PAIGE: Detour.
-"Find the Beat
-"Find the Beat
- or Hit the Note."
- or Hit the Note."
- Hit the Note. They actually
- Let's do Hit the Note.
if you can believe it,
they pay me
to play the flute for a living.
Unbelievable.
CHELSIE:
Excuse me.
Do you speak English?
- MAN: Little.
- CHELSIE: Little?
We need to get to
Casa Gradisteanu.
So there's no metro
to get there.
JACK:
Oh, so a bus? Okay.
We need to walk.
Is this street here?
Okay.
- CHELSIE: Bye!
- JACK: Thank you.
- Appreciate you, my man.
- So we're taking the bus.
I don't know
if we can see buses,
but I don't know
how to get there.
[flute playing hesitantly]
- With me.
- [continues playing]
- Do you know what you do wrong?
- Yep.
- Well, you don't move
- I was, I'm not going to the--
No, you don't move
the pan flute.
- Okay.
- This is the
- the move. Yes?
- All right.
- And do it intense--
- Like eating corn,
- like corn on the cob, baby.
- I'm-- Yeah, yeah.
- You want to try it?
- Hell yeah.
- Let's boogie.
- I'm better under pressure.
INSTRUCTOR:
I think Radu is waiting for you.
ERIC:
Are you Radu?
Hi.
Yes, I'm Radu.
- All right.
- Welcome.
- TUCKER: Ready for you, sir.
- ERIC: Thank you, sir.
We hear you're the final boss
of pan flutes.
[chuckles]
[plays haltingly]
- [empty note blows]
- Okay, restart.
Ready.
[band playing]

Hey!
So, in the first part,
the turnings--
you are doing them
- too fast.
- JAS: Okay.
- Let's do it.
- Let's do it again. Let's do it again.
[blows empty note]
TUCKER:
Aw, I messed up.
- [blows empty note]
- Okay, here we go,
here we go, here we go. Got it.
JAG: We're the only team
there, which is
great for us because
we never went back
to the practice room
to practice it again.
Let's do it again.
And so we're hoping
we can just crank it out
before the other teams
get there.
JUDGE:
It was late.
- Let's do it again.
- Let's do it again. [laughs]
[blows empty notes]
- [blows empty note]
- I messed up.
- All right, let's go check.
- I messed up. - It's okay.
TUCKER:
Uh, let's go practice one.
Uh, sure, yeah,
- let's go practice.
- Yeah.
We're gonna just practice
the second verse.
JACK:
Now we're heading
to go get to our next Detour.
There's a bus that's gonna
get us to our next clue.
CHELSIE: When it's
supposed to be right here?
JACK: No, this is where
we just picked our clue up.
CHELSIE:
I know.
Where are we going right now,
Chels, can I ask that?
Where are we going right now?
Why are you asking me?
No, we're-we're
This isn't the direction.
We have to go that way.
- Then why did you walk this way?
- I was following you.
We need to go that way.
CHELSIE:
It's costing us time.
- JOSEPH: Here we go.
- ADAM: We're right here.
Here we go, come on.
Right there, clue box, clue box.
Yeah, it's just us, Joseph.
Detour.
"Find the Beat or Hit the Note."
Let's dance.
JAG:
Fourth time's the charm!

Hey!
[applause]
It's a yes.
Congratulations.
- Yeah!
- Yeah. [laughs]
- Yeah!
- Okay.
And now this is for you.
Good luck
- on the rest of the competition.
- Thank you. - Thank you.
- Rip it.
- Okay.
Route Info.
"Make your way
to the restaurant known as
the Green Hours
Jazz and Theater Café
to find your next clue."
- Let's go. Thank you so much!
- Perfect. Thank you guys!
- Thank you, thank you!
- JUDGE: Good luck!
- Bye-bye! [laughs]
- JAS: Yay, we did it.
Go, go, go, go.
- Uh, let's Uh
- Ask one person.
Can we use somebody's phone
to help us find directions?
- This way, right?
- It's gonna be in, like, a
parking lot area right here.
Thank you so much,
- thank you. - Thank you.
- Bye. Good luck.
[pan flute plays haltingly]
[plays jauntily]
TUCKER:
Ooh, baby!
That's it
- ERIC: Ooh, that was hot, that was nice.
- Oh, really,
- well done, I'm impressed.
- Yeah? - Thank you, Radu.
- Yes, yes.
- TUCKER: Let's go!
- Yeah!
- Yeah! [exclaiming] - [Radu laughs]
I think you deserve
the next clue.
- Well done, guys. Wow, wow.
- Thank you, Radu. - Pleasure. Thank you.
Appreciate it.
Thank you very much, sir.
- Let's do it.
- Let's go, baby.
JACK:
Chels,
we want to find somebody?
- Dad
- We got-we got to do something.
We can't stand here.
CHELSIE: Excuse me.
We're looking for directions.
- [woman speaking indistinctly]
- You-Y Help, Dad.
WOMAN:
Okay, you can use, uh, seven.
- That's where that's at. Okay.
- Yeah.
Thank you so much.
JACK:
Thank you.
We are probably last.
It is what it is.
We should have just followed
Taylor and Kyland.
[Jack grumbles]
So, we chose
the Find the Beat Detour
because we know,
uh, it-it look
it was closer on the map.
And we're like,
"Hey, let's go
to a closer destination
because we're-- our plan is
just to use the Express Fest."
And so we just need
to get there faster.
IZZY: M1. It's yellow.
Look out for the yellow.
Watch me play this flute, y'all.
I'm gonna be like
[vocalizing]
[both giggling]
I think it'll take us more time
to find buses.
- Yeah.
- And do all that.
Hopefully, a team took a bus
and assumed that that's faster
and delayed them.
We need every second we got.
What's wrong, Dad?
- Nothing. I'm good.
- That's not tru--
This is not enjoyable
when you're being like this.
- No, I'm just
- We have to talk to this.
You're crying over spilled milk.
There's nothing
we can do about that.
On a scale of one to ten, my
frustration level was at a 15.
I'm upset 'cause we keep
messing up on our directions
when we had
We had it.
CHELSIE:
The one thing we need to do
is get navigation right
so we're not running as much.
That is the opposite
of what we did.
Running an hour around the town
is not helpful, so,
it was just frustrating,
very frustrating.
[chuckles]:
It's right here.
Spilled milk right now,
like you said.
- It's right here.
- No, no sense in talking about spilled milk.
- That's what you just told me.
- Piata Romana.
- That's spilled milk.
- But you talked about it.
- That's spilled milk.
- But you talked about it.
If you think
you can win The Amazing Race,
then go to cbs.com/casting
and apply now.
CHELSIE: We were ahead, and now
we're probably a good hour,
maybe hour and a half behind.
Navigation may have cost us
this leg, so we'll see.
Oh, I hope this is right.
Okay, babe, Camara de Comert.
- TAYLOR: Whoo!
- Hello.
Wow.
- Hey!
- Hey!
- Yeah. Hey, I could've got it.
- We will be using
- this Express Pass.
- Not anytime soon.
So this is the next clue
for you.
- Thank you very much.
- Thank you very much.
"Make your way
to the restaurant known as
"the Green Hours
Jazz and Theater Café
to find your next clue."
- All right, let's go.
- Okay.
- Whoo!
- Thank you, thank you, thank you.
IZZY: I see marked up here.
Let's go, baby.
- PAIGE: Let's go.
- Let's go, baby.
- Yeah.
- Hello, hello.
Oh, it's beautiful.
- Beautiful. We can't wait.
- Okay.
- Let's find a station first.
- Okay.
Okay, looks like one is empty.
- PAIGE: Okay.
- Okay, so we have more pieces than this, so
- Okay, and we're making two.
- IZZY: Oh, right, right, right.
So, let's I'm gonna just
find all the right pieces
and match the sizes.
I've played pan flutes
before, so,
I think, collectively,
we're gonna, um, smash this.
No other teams.
We're used to being at Detours
by ourselves, so
We kind of love it.
TUCKER: Down this
way. Oh, it's right here.
ERIC:
Yes! There it is.
Oh, let's go.
- Let's get it.
- Let's go.
Route Info.
A popular dish here is mici,
a street food made up
of various types of meat,
along with thyme, black pepper,
garlic and paprika.
Teams need
to make ten mici each.
and then savor one of them,
with the option of dipping
into a little mustard
to get their next clue.
- Let's go.
- Cool.
- TUCKER: Oh, down there, right?
- Yeah, it's got to be.
- Here we go, baby.
- TUCKER: This is so fun.
- TUCKER: Hello, sir.
- Yes, sir.
"an ongoing demonstration"
TUCKER:
Easy.
Yup.
Done.
Done.
That's it, right?
ERIC: We had to make 20
sausages, uh, ten each, um,
and they had to be, you know,
the exact right size.
TUCKER:
Right here.
ERIC:
Uh, so right now, we are just
rolling this sausage meat.
- [Tucker mutters] - Oh, yeah.
- What up, boys?
- What up?
- JAG: "Prepare mici
"for the chef, then consume two
of these Romanian sausages
to receive your next clue."
Let's do it.
Let's do it.
- Okay, read it.
- "Each of you must make ten mici."
Tucker and Eric
were already there,
and so we weren't
too far behind.
It seemed like
we could get through this
pretty quickly.
Okay, make a ball.
Oh, this one's done.
All right, this is your tenth.
It has to be plated.
- Okay.
- I got you, okay.
- All right, let's bring it back to the station, maybe?
- Yeah.
ERIC: First time that
we went through, uh, our ends
weren't as neat and tidy
as they needed to be.
They kind of were tapering off.
We were more focused
on the-the width
and length of them
and not really the ends.
They all got to be much
more uniform than we had them.
It said past the park, right?
Casa Gradisteanu
is what we're looking for.
We know we're close,
so, just trying to get there
with our heads held high.
Calea Victorei is what we're on.
Has to be near here.
- You good?
- Yeah.
- Take a bar.
- I can't.
I can't eat while I'm running.
Right now, I just need to go.
We need to get there,
recoup while
we're at the Detour,
and go step by step.
But right now, this step is
to put everything on the line
and run.
- Let's go, Joseph.
- Yeah.
WOMAN:
So you will be one?
IZZY:
Yeah.
- [playing melody]
- [humming the tune]
Then
- [blows empty note]
- This one.
Uh, and then?
- Four is up. Got it, got it.
- Uh-huh, uh-huh.
- [humming tune] - Yeah.
- [playing hesitantly]
- Yeah, start here, baby.
- Yeah.
One, two.
- See?
- Yeah.
- So yours will be a two, also.
- Mm-hmm.
Do it again, do it again.
I am a professional
flute player, and
I'm also a flute teacher.
Um, I teach college students
and graduate students.
I always like getting
to teach Paige something.
- [vocalizing the tune]
- ♪

- Okay.
- Got it.
IZZY:
And so,
I basically was helping
keep the beat
and helping Paige understand,
like, the structure of the tune.
That extra knowledge,
I think, really helped.

It doesn't help Look at me.
Like, don't keep going out.
Okay. Okay, okay, okay.
This one no good?
Yeah.
- Just this one?
- Just
We just have to make sure
it's the exact, you know,
width and size and everything.
It's very specific.
You don't just roll it up,
and then it's right.
Yes.
- Let's go.
- Now we got to eat-eat two.
Thank you, sir.
- Thank you.
- Give me some mustard.
Right as we got 'em approved,
we got our reward,
we got our mici.
- Fire.
- So good.
ERIC:
Oh, man, they're, like
They're seriously unbelievable.
They're so good.
Thank you. Thank you.
- Good luck.
- I appreciate it. Thank you.
Thank you so much.
JAG: Good job, boys.
- Thanks, guys. You, too.
- You've got it.
Route Info.
- "Race to the Pit Stop."
- "Race to the Pit Stop."
It took four years to complete
this former royal palace.
Built more than 300 years ago,
Mogosoaia is considered
to be one of the most beautiful
monuments in the country.
It's here
on these serene grounds
that teams will find me waiting
at the Pit Stop.
The last team to check in here
may be eliminated.
BOTH: "Last team to
check in may be eliminated."
- Let's go.
- Let's get out of here.
- We need a taxi.
- All right.
- There's more coming
- Oh, right here.
You good to take us somewhere?
Thank you.
- Check 'em.
- Let's go.
I made 12,
just in case one was wrong.
- Good. Good, good.
- Good. We got it.
- Thank you.
- Thank you.
Mmm. This is really good.
The mici was delicious.
- We scarfed it down.
- We scarfed it down, but it was
actually so good.
"Last team to check in
may be eliminated."
JAS:
Let's grab a taxi. Thank you!
- To the Pit Stop, baby.
- Yeah. Yeah.
- ERIC: We're in first place.
- Yeah. Hurry.
ERIC:
Jas and Jag are not far behind.
Whatever the-the most
efficient route is,
we would love it.
We're in a race.
JAS: We're racing
for first right now.
JAG: We're s-- we're so
close to Tucker and Eric.
So yeah,
every minute does count.
TUCKER:
We just saw that it's 37 minutes
to get to Phil on the mat,
which means
some teams could potentially
pass us in the cab, Jas and Jag,
but I think we got
a great cab driver here.
He's gonna get us there first,
right?
- That's our man right here.
- Yeah.
- JAG: Yes.
- JAS: Yup, do your
JAG: Yeah, any way to
get there faster, we trust you.
It looks like the shortcut
is way less traffic.
We're literally a couple minutes
behind Tucker and Eric.
- Uh, missed a turn.
- So we just missed a turn.
We're doing
a little three-pointer
to get back en route. Um
- TUCKER: I still think that doesn't matter at all.
- Yeah.
JAS:
Oh, we see it. I see it.
Where the Pit Stop is
is straight ahead.
- ERIC: Yeah. Yeah.
- Thank you. Thank you.
- Let's boogie.
- Let's do it.
Let's go!
Welcome to Mogosoaia.
JAS:
Let's go!
- Welcome.
- JAS: Go, go, go, go.
Phil! [laughs]
There you are.
- Jag and Jas.
- Yes.
I am pleased to tell you
that you are team
- number one. - Yes!
- Let's go.
- And I do have some great news for you.
- All right.
As the winners
of this leg of the race,
you have won
OneKeyCash from Expedia,
which you can use
towards a trip for two
to Bermuda.
- Oh!
- Oh!
Bermuda.
- Let's go.
- KEOGHAN: Expedia has designed
a recommended five-night
unique experience,
featuring an aquarium
and crystal cave exploration,
- Ooh!
- Hidden Gem Jungle Excursion,
a catamaran sail
and snorkeling tour
and a food tour
in the city of Hamilton.
- Oh, my God.
- Boy, let's go.
JAS:
I mean, we're
we're feeling very confident.
We've been doing way better than
we thought we were gonna do.
- Yeah.
- Uh, which is great that our, like, team chemistry
and our communication is
all that's been paying off.
- Ooh.
- Tucker and Eric, you are team number two.
- Ah, let's go.
- KEOGHAN: You had a run
- We'll take it.
- of four wins in a row.
- Now you got a second.
- ERIC: Let's go.
- Close one.
- You're going into the ninth leg.
Yeah, we know
the teams are coming for us.
Um, we just got
to keep racing our race.
- KYLAND: Clue box.
- TAYLOR: Amazing.
- Perfect.
- "Prepare mici for the chef."
TAYLOR: Thank God. I'm hungry.
Oh, that looks so good.
Each of us are gonna
make ten mici.
I think we made the right
decision on the last Detour
to use the Express Pass,
and now we get
to have a nice little lunch.
Amazing Racemarked entrance
Yes! Finally.
Let's get this dance down fast.
- Come on.
- We're still in this.
- Yeah.
- Hello, my beautiful people.
Who is the best dancer?
'cause we suck.
- Hopefully, this way.
- Okay.
JOSEPH:
Thank you, guys.
INSTRUCTOR:
Please?
Yeah, we're the only ones here.
It looks like
everyone's stuck in flute.
ADAM: There are no teams there.
We don't know
if that's because
teams have already gone,
learned the dance,
done it and left
Right, left, right.
ADAM: or if everyone chose
the other Detour.
And two spins.
Hey, another one.
Off my left or off my right?
Towards your right.
[vocalizing tune]
Another one.
- You want another one right here?
- Another Yeah.
I thought it was two right here.
And there is a learning curve
when it comes
to dancing.
Yes, but too slow.
Now the opposite way.
- No. The opposite way.
- Left, right.
- One, two, hey.
- Very late, very late.
-Very late. We just had to do it
-Yeah, very late.
- a little faster in the third part.
- Yeah, exactly.
JACK:
Excuse me. Do you speak English?
- MAN: Yeah.
- We're trying to get right here
to Casa Gradisteanu
Ghica Strada.
- Yeah.
- That's it?
- Yeah.
- Okay.
And what street is that?
- Nicolae Iorga.
- Nicolae Iorga, right here.
Okay. Wow. We're way too far.
- Perfect. Thank you.
- Okay, thank you.
CHELSIE: We're looking
for our next Detour.
JACK: Navigation has been
our issue the whole time.
CHELSIE:
We second-guess
ourselves with the directions
that we get. So that's, I think,
our biggest issue.
So let's just trust
the directions
that we were given,
let it breathe a little bit
and run.
I'm waiting for this to be over.
It's not looking good,
but we'll keep our head up.
[playing gentle melody]
- Yeah?
- Well done, you two.
- Thank you so much.
- Thank you so much.
- Oh, you're very welcome.
- Thank you so much.
- You sound amazing.
- Congrats.
- Thank you.
- Thank you very much.
I had so much fun doing this.
I really, really liked it,
and I really liked
watching Paige learn
and-and hearing her play.
- Okay, let's go.
- All right, let's go.
So I just finished my ten.
I'm feeling pretty good
about the size.
I'm feeling pretty good
about the look.
So mine, hopefully,
aren't too big,
and they're okay,
give 'em a little extra.
All right.
Ah. Ooh.
- Hello.
- Hey, Dan.
TAYLOR:
Ah.
- KYLAND: Okay.
- TAYLOR: Okay.
TAYLOR:
Too chunky.
- KYLAND: Okay.
- TAYLOR: Okay.
TAYLOR:
Okay.
TAYLOR: Way to go. Okay.
KYLAND: Thank you very much,
Dan. Appreciate you.
- Thank you. Just three.
- KYLAND: Take it. No worries.
Yeah, there's three.
Good job, babe.
Look at this.
Pick it up.
This much meat. Roll it.
My sausages were too thick
in the middle, it seems,
so, just got to roll 'em out,
make sure they're even
all the way across.
- How's that look?
- Terrible. No.
No, too thick in the middle.
You got to apply pressure.
Look at me.
- Look at me. This.
- I'm literally looking.
Boom, boom, boom, boom.
Look at my hands, though.
My hands are in a V like this.
- Mm.
- Do this.
- First, do this, babe, please.
- I'm
Here we go. Now do this.
Now roll.
With pressure.
And then it goes like that.
If pressure was applied,
it would do this.
So don't look at me like that
because we're just
speaking logic, that's all.
TAYLOR:
I was definitely frustrated
'cause he was like, "Hmm.
You know what you just did?
Looks nothing like
my perfect ten."
You see that that
is not matching that, right?
No, no. You can't
get frustrated like that.
[Kyland mutters] - He said,
"Your ugly sausage that you
- "keep making over and over--
- That You
hideous."
You're copping an attitude
for no reason, babe.
I know
you're getting frustrated.
I'm very frustrated right now.
But instead of being frustrated,
let's solve it.
Let's work together, right?
Would you mind doing it the way
that I just showed you?
Pressure, roll, pressure, roll.
See how
it's getting longer each one?
It's getting longer.
Now try and say that like
you have love in your heart.
There you go.
- Pressure and roll.
- [laughs]
Pressure and roll, okay?
JACK:
This is it.
Here it is, right?
- Oh, okay.
- Welcome.
- How are you guys?
- Hello.
- Keep going? Thank you.
- [man laughs]
- Hello.
- Hello.
Thank you.
CHELSIE: Okay, that's
the finished sample.
All right, let me
get on this side then.
Okay. We are trying to make sure
that we glue our flute
correctly so we don't have
to do it again.
And then we got to learn a song,
so, this might be the easy part.
Learning the song might be the
difficult portion, so we'll see.
We took a massive detour,
so we don't know
what place we're in.
So, it feels like
we're in last, but
if other teams decided to dance,
anything could happen.
[instructor vocalizing tune]
- Hey.
- Hey.
- Close enough. [laughs]
- All right.
-Okay. Let's put in stage
-Yes.
- everything together.
- [Adam groans]
- We are going to try
- My sugar's off.
- You need to drink?
- Okay.
- Okay. You sure?
- Yeah.
Adam, we could take two minutes.
ADAM:
No, it's all right.
JOSEPH:
I start to notice
Adam is shutting down.
- How are you feeling?
- I'm good.
- You sure?
- Yeah.
JOSEPH:
So I need to trust Adam,
but Adam will lie to me
so that we don't stop
because he doesn't want
to put any pressure on the team.
- Do you want to keep going?
- Yeah, let's keep going.
Adam, we can take two minutes
to get it up.
Let's keep going.
ADAM:
There are no teams there.
And I felt like
taking a 15-minute break
to get my sugar up--
we can't risk that,
especially in last place.
-Adam, I don't mind you
-Yeah. I'm all right,
- to take the time to lock in.
- I'm all right.
- Let's do this.
- Okay.
Okay?
- TAYLOR: Oh! Thank you.
- Thank you very much.
-Thank you, thank you,
-Appreciate it.
- thank you.
- Good baby, good job.
KYLAND:
Thank you. [laughs]
TAYLOR:
Yay.
- Thank you.
- Thank you very much.
- Cheers.
- 'Cause I was just-- Cheers.
Oh, God, it's good.
Don't choke.
- It's really good.
- All right.
- Thank you very much, Daniel.
- Thank you.
- Appreciate you.
- Thank you very much.
- Thank you.
- Have a good day.
- Whoo!
- Come on, Expedia.
[sighs]
- "Race to the Pit Stop."
- "Race to the Pit Stop."
PAN FLUTE INSTRUCTOR:
One of you must choose
-the blue segment
-Okay.
and one of you must choose
the yellow segment.
- CHELSIE: You want to do blue or yellow?
- JACK: I'll do blue, yes.
[playing haltingly]
Let Move your-move
your pan flute.
- Oh.
- INSTRUCTOR: You forgot one.
So, practice a little bit.
I will tell you if it's good
or if you
- hit the wrong note.
- JACK: Okay.
And you-- when you think
you're ready,
- you can go to Radu.
- To Radu.
- Okay.
- Okay?
DANCE INSTRUCTOR:
You want to give it a try?
- Yes.
- Or Yeah?
Yeah, let's give it a try.
My sugar's free-falling.
I'd rather go,
and hopefully, we get a check.
INSTRUCTOR:
You guys are doing a great job.
JOSEPH:
Thank you.
Wow.
This is a lot more intimidating.
- Oh, God, please, first try.
- Ready? Hold on.
Hold on, Joseph. Focus.

[applause]
WOMAN:
Okay.
In the end,
the final spins
were not in "synchron"
with the others.
I would please ask you
to go to the room
- to work on this part.
- Thank you. - We will.
- Thank you, guys.
- Thank you.
Adam and Joseph realized
this morning
that their buffer is gone,
and they can't
make mistakes anymore.
- Yeah.
- And we're ahead.
IZZY: We're thrilled
to be ahead of them,
even though we love them.
We love you boys.
PAIGE:
"The Green Hours."
- Here.
- Here it is.
"Prepare mici for the chef.
"Then consume two
of these Romanian sausages
to receive your next clue."
- Okay.
- Okay.
Hello.
This is ours.
We've got this apron
that we're gonna put on.
We're gonna look very cute.
PAIGE: Um, I will
be following her lead.
Thank God
Izzy is such a good teacher.
I've eaten
very few sausages, and
She's not really,
like, a meat
- Oh, my God. Yeah.
- sausage person.
When I was a kid in Texas,
my grandfather once sat me down
to have
a very serious conversation.
And he said, "I'm worried
you're becoming a vegetarian."
- And
- Which was code for lesbian.
- Right.
- What do you think about that
on my end?
PAIGE: Mine looks,
like, a little short.
[pan flute plays haltingly]
Okay.
- JACK: I messed up one?
- Now, except the second phrase.
Okay.
- Ugh.
- Hey, it's okay.

Okay, congratulations.
[both whooping]
- Thank you. Thank you.
- Good job, you guys.
- Thank you so much.
- Thank you.
- Thank you.
- Thank you.
"Make your way to the restaurant
known as the Green Hours
- Jazz and Theatre to find your next clue."
- Let's go.
- Let's go. We're still going.
- [cheering]
- Thank you.
- Thank you. We did it!
[pan flute playing haltingly]
- It's still Yup.
- JACK: The second part.
- Okay.
- A-Another try.
Aw, geez. [groans]
It's all good.
You want to go practice outside?
- Yeah, let me get to practice one more time.
- Okay.
I keep messing up
on the last part.
We were both
a little bummed out.
Okay. It's that last part.
That's when your mind, your
starts playing tricks on you.
You're thinking you're last,
and you're like, "Oh."
You start, "Woe is me."
But we have to focus.
I don't know
where anyone else is.
We got to nail this.
We got to nail this.
All right.
- Okay? Okay.
- Yes. Let's do it, Chels.
- CHELSIE: Hi, Radu.
- JACK: Oh. Hello.
Are you ready?
[plays high note]
[both laughing]
[playing tune]
- [finishing note]
- Yes!
- JACK: That was awesome.
- Congratulations.
- Yes!
- Thank you so much, Radu.
- Thank you.
- All right, my man.
- Thank you, sir. Appreciate it.
- All right.
Thank you.
Thank you for the lesson.
- CHELSIE: We did it.
- Yes.
JOSEPH:
The Green Jazz Café.
- From here to right there.
- [Adam mumbles]
Once we find this, we just got
to follow it up, okay?
- This is going to be this way.
- Yeah, it's telling us this way
and take a right.
- Thank you guys so much.
- Thank you. Thank you both.
ADAM:
It said 20 minutes walking.
JOSEPH: Hopefully,
we're still in this, baby.
- Green Hours Jazz Café. That's it.
- Okay.
Just past that second light
down there, Chelsie.
- All right, we're gonna go.
- Thank you. - Thank you.
All right.
Past the second light,
then we should see that street.
Whoo! [laughs]
I am pleased to tell you,
Kyland and Taylor,
that you are, in fact,
team number three.
Three. Yeah.
That's got to feel good.
You know, being
in third makes it feel like
we're within reach of the teams
in front of us.
- You think that looks like ten?
- Yeah, let's go find out.
Oh, thank you.
IZZY: Perfect. Let's go. Oh,
what the-- what's the sauce,
- little mustard?
- PAIGE: Yeah.
- Oh, perfect.
- Oh, multumesc.
Multumesc. That's amazing.
- Thank you.
- IZZY: Mmm.
I'm lit I'm actually hungry.
PAIGE:
Thank you so much.
- Multumesc.
- Oh, multumesc.
Come on, baby. Come on, baby.
See "Pit Stop."
"Race to the Pit Stop."
- Okay, let's go get a taxi.
- Okay.
- Taxi?
- Thank you so much.
IZZY:
Multumesc. Multumesc.
We think we're in fourth
behind two Express Passes
and Tucker and Eric, so
CHELSIE:
Oh, it's right here.
"Prepare mici for the chef.
"Then consume two
of these Romanian sausages
to receive your next clue."
- Okay, time to eat.
- Okay, let's go.
CHELSIE:
I'm hungry.
JACK: We don't know where we are
in this race right now,
but we're just praying
that someone messed up.
We're looking for a jazz house
somewhere here
on the right side.
It should be
Green tea. There.
Whoo!
Oh, my God,
we're the last ones. Let's go.
- Gosh darn.
- Ah.
- Oh, my God. Joseph and Adam.
- Adam and Joseph.
So it's gonna be a footrace
at this point.
"Make 20 mici for the chef."
CHELSIE:
We know, at that point,
- we're the last two teams.
- JACK: Yes.
It was off to the races.
Whoo!
JOSEPH:
This is the race for last.
This is very intense.
No one's talking.
Adam and I know
we're running in last place,
so seeing Chelsie and Jack
was so reassuring because
we're still in this game.
We're still in this, baby.
- Can I get 'em checked?
- JACK: Yeah. You ready?
- Check.
- Okay, checks.
Don't focus on them.
Too big? All of 'em?
- Much smaller?
- Okay.
- How about these?
- No. Wait.
- So not as thick. Okay.
- Okay.
- Let's do skinny.
- "Thinnier."
- Smaller. Okay.
- Okay.
Skinnier.
Phil! [laughs]
I have some amazing news
for you guys.
- Let's hear it.
- You are team number four.
- Yes. Let's go.
- Four. We'll take it.
IZZY: We just knew today
would be a race against
three teams instead of five
- because of the Express Passes.
- Yes.
So we were just focused on
the teams that were
right ahead of us.
Okay, she rolled it.
- All right. All right.
- Oh, thank you.
It looks like
they finished over there,
but we're focused on ourselves.
- Cheers for my daughter and I.
- Mmm.
Teammates.
Now father and daughter
teammates.
You are not gonna
smack on this sausage
in my ear like that.
That's what you're not gonna do.
- See? See how she treats me?
- You are just
That was just
- Smacking pet peeve.
- I'm gonna mind my own business.
- [laughing]: Yeah.
- Mm.
- Yes!
- Thank you!
Thank you, my man.
Appreciate you.
- Appreciate it.
- Good luck. Bye. Bye.
- Thank you so much.
- All right. Thank you.
Thank you.
- Okay, we got to find a taxi.
- All right, let's go find a taxi.
Hi. Can you take us to Strada?
- Thank you so much. Yeah.
- You got it? Okay.
JOSEPH:
Come on, buddy. You got this.
Chelsie and Jack are not
too far in front of us,
and it's not over
till Phil tells us it's over.
Let's go. Let's get you a check.
- Please.
- Hello, Mr. Chef.
Oh, he's checking.
Yes, here's mine.
- Yes! Yes.
- [laughing]
JOSEPH: I mean, we
just got to run, run, run.
We got to eat quick.
Thank you so much.
Thank you for preparing this.
Ay, it's hot.
Adam? Thank you.
- ADAM: Thank you so much.
- Thank you.
- ADAM: Thank you.
- Thank you. We need it.
We need a taxi.
ADAM:
There's the taxi.
- [grunts]
- We're going to
Mogosoaia Palace.
We are fifth place right now.
Joseph and Adam
are right behind us.
So, headed to the Pit Stop
to see Phil.
- It's not looking good.
- I think
I think this time it's for real
- not looking good, yeah.
- I think this one's, uh Yeah.
At this point,
we're just praying
for no oopsies.
It's not over till it's over.
Even if it is,
it was a good run.
It was a good run.
Adam.
It's okay.
ADAM:
I just felt like,
throughout this entire race,
Joseph has always
been taking the burden.
He's always
having to-to look at me
and ask me how's my blood sugar,
"Do you want to take a break?"
And it just
I think it all set in at the end
that, like, if Joseph
went with another partner,
he had a shot at winning this.
In that car ride,
all those feelings set in on me.
It's not over
till Phil says it's over.
CHELSIE: Straight ahead,
that big brown building.
All right, here we go.
Thank you so much.
All right, let's find Phil.
- Let's go. Giddyup, boy.
- Let's go.
CHELSIE:
I see Uncle Phil. Salut.
- Thank you.
- Hello, sir. Thank you.
Uncle Phil!
- Here we go.
- Hello, Phil.
I am pleased to tell you
that you're team number five.
- Yes.
- Barely, but we made it.
Oh, but you made it.
Our navigation,
the GPS was off today.
CHELSIE: I think with
navigation, both people
should have an awareness
of where we're going.
And he did, I didn't,
so it kind of
Think I could have helped
a little bit more.
JACK:
It's a little bit different
when your father and daughter
compared
to, uh, friends or siblings.
For so many years,
I've been the lead.
- Yeah.
- But in a race,
we're two adults trying
to race this race together.
Ah, Joseph and Adam.
JOSEPH:
We know, Phil.
- Stop, Adam.
- [crying]: No, you
I'm so lucky.
- ADAM: I [cries]
- I'm so proud of you.
It's okay.
Joseph and Adam
I hope you have the strength
to continue racing
because this is
a non-elimination leg,
and you are both still
in the race.
[Adam crying]
We're gonna win it, Adam,
I promise.
[sobbing]
Adam, you're an inspiration
to every single person.
I would not be standing here
if it wasn't for you.
We would not be going to nine
if it wasn't for you.
Because you have arrived last
on this leg,
sometime during the next leg
of the race,
you are going
to be penalized in some way.
It is going
to affect you in the race.
The bond and the relationship
I have built
with my brother
throughout this race
and to know that
we still have an opportunity
to continue building that bond
and continue this race means
absolutely everything to us.
You got it, buddy.
Keep your head up high.
Bring that confidence back in.
We're still in this.
and TOYOTA.

- Oh.
- That's bad.
KEOGHAN:
Bringing all the drama
- [Taylor cries] - What?
- Whoa.
If you take it personal, then
maybe you shouldn't be here.
KEOGHAN:
you won't want to miss.
ADAM:
Million dollars on one end,
there's friendship
and love on the other.
KEOGHAN:
Since we have a tie,
we're gonna take another vote.
