Flashpoint s03e11 Episode Script

No Promises

(Pool balls clatter) (Cell phone rings) Man: It's him.
You're late.
Yeah, I know.
There was an accident.
Accident? Is Jeremy okay? He's lost a lot of blood.
Listen, Paul, they know we're gone, all right? The police are looking for me.
Then you better get him over here or the deal is off.
Let me talk to her.
Are you giving me orders, officer? Paul, you want your nephew free, you let me talk to my daughter right now! Paul: Now tell your daddy how well we're taking care of you.
(Scared gasps) Dad! Hey, sweetheart.
(Crying) I'm so sorry, dad.
I'm so sorry.
(Birds caw in distance) Man: (Groaning) Girl: (Sobbing) (Crying) (Steam hisses) (Painful exhale) (Tire squeaks) Men: (Groaning) Dispatch: (Police siren wails) All units: 10-36, vehicular collision.
427, end of concession road six.
(Siren wails, tires squeal) Officer Fletcher: I want you people to move back! Clear these vehicles for emergency! Oliver: (Groans) Brother, you okay? Oliver yeah, the Seatbelt's jammed.
All right.
(Radio clicks) Dispatch, this is 5110.
On scene.
Collision involving squad, unmarked, 52 division.
Sergeant MacCoy.
Sergeant MacCoy.
Conscious, responsive.
He's trapped inside his vehicle.
Okay, I just need you to hold on.
I'll be right back.
I gotta check on the bus passengers.
(Passengers moan and groan) Officer Fletcher: Everyone in there all right?! Woman: Please help us! (Gunshots fire) Passengers: (Scream and shriek) Man: Shut up! (Breathing rapidly) (Ragged gasps) 10-33.
(Gasping) Shots fired.
I've been hit.
Repeat, officer down.
Winnie: Team one, hot call.
Shots fired at the scene of a car accident that involved a Nationcrest bus and squad car.
The driver of the police car's okay, but trapped in his vehicle.
First responder took a bullet.
Any I.
D.
And status on the officer? Winnie: His name's Fletcher.
Dispatch says he's taken cover, but is pinned down on the scene.
Fletcher's pretty sure the passengers on the bus are now hostages.
(Grimacing and gasping) (Multiple sirens approach) (Doors slam shut) Ed: Can't get a visual inside of that bus.
The officer in the unmark's gonna have to wait.
We gotta get Fletcher out of there.
Uniforms have set a perimeter and they're holding traffic.
Sam: The bus went over less than 20 minutes ago.
No sign of anyone leaving, no contact with the shooter.
Okay, Eddie.
Wordy, Sam, let's figure a way to get Fletcher out of there.
Parker: (Over megaphone) This is sergeant Greg Parker with the police strategic response unit.
I'm here to help you and everyone on that bus.
(Gunshot blasts) Officers: Get down and cover! Take cover! Parker: Fire and ems, you gotta fall back.
Fall back now! (Trailer door opens) Parker: (Door bangs shut) Okay, not ready to talk.
(Exhaling forcefully) Who we dealing with? Bus manifest shows only the driver and six passengers on board.
None with a criminal or mental health record.
Winnie, have we got an I.
D.
On the driver of the unmarked police vehicle? Winnie: Yes.
It was driven by a sergeant MacCoy from 52 division.
Oliver MacCoy? Winnie: Copy.
Spike: Well, what's his condition? Dispatch can't raise him on the radio.
Last report was conscious and responsive.
You know this guy, spike? Yeah, I know this guy.
There's no one like this guy.
He was my training officer.
I rode with him my first two years out of the academy.
He was the first one to call me spike.
Well, maybe he can help us out.
Dispatch says his radio's still down; They can't reach him, but he carries a cell.
(Cell phone rings) (Grunts with effort) (Phone beeps on) Officer scarlatti.
'Bout time you called.
Mac, you okay in there? Oliver: Yeah, it's just a knock on the head.
It's no big deal.
What's the condition of that first responder? Spike: He's shot in the thigh.
He's pinned down on the other side of the bus.
Any idea who the shooter is? Oliver: Yeah, a couple of punk dealers I was taking from 52 back to lockup.
Names are Fawcett and Bullard.
Must have got my shotgun when I was out cold.
All right, Mac, sit tight.
Promise, we'll have you outta there in no time.
No promises.
I taught you better than that.
Yes, sir.
(Phone beeps off) Rookie lesson: Make no promises.
Cops are human.
We can only do what we can.
Parker: He's right.
(Slaps back) Passengers: (Wimper and moan) (Gasping) Brett, man, we gotta get the hell outta here.
Fawcett: No! It's like I told you.
They're not gonna come in here as long as we have hostages.
My arm is messed up, man.
You're gonna be fine! Here.
Tie that around it.
Female passenger: Please, let us go! Shut up and stay down! (Passengers wimper in fear) Nobody goes anywhere unless I say they do! I will kill anyone who tries to leave! Parker: What's up, Jules? Jules: Fletcher's lost a lot of blood.
Says he can't walk.
Parker: How are we getting out, ed? Ed: Only one way to do this.
Turtle formation, use the shields, use the bull rushes as cover.
Once we get to him, we'll be exposed.
I wish we had eyes up there.
Maybe we do.
All right, let's get the shields.
Spike: What can you see, Mac? Hang on.
Fawcett's at the front of the bus with the SLP.
If you guys approach from the rear, you should be okay.
Spike: Guys, Mac says you're clear.
Fawcett's still at the front of the bus.
We're coming in, Mac.
Oliver: Don't you worry about me.
You know protocol.
Get the injured officer to safety, and then secure the civilians on that bus.
Parker: (Quietly) Hey, buddy, can you stand? Officer Fletcher: I don't know.
Parker: Holster your weapon.
Officer Fletcher: (Grimaces) Ed: Boss, that fuel tank is ruptured.
Parker: Okay, on three.
One, two, three! (Grunting) (Loud clank) Fawcett: What the hell was that? Somebody's out there, man.
Oliver: Spike, get your guys outta there; He heard them.
Boss, you gotta move now! Officer Fletcher: (Grunting in pain) (Door squeaks open, shotgun blasts) (Shotgun blasts, bullets ping off metal) That was way too close.
Sam: Look, there's smoke coming from under the bus! Parker: Must have caught a spark from the shotgun.
Couple minutes and that whole thing's going up in flames.
I can't let the fire trucks down there with an active shooter.
Parker: (Over megaphone) The bus is on fire! You need to get everyone outta there before it explodes! It's still ours, Eddie.
Ed: Let's move! V formation! Suppression tanks, masks on! (Flames whoosh) Passengers: (Wimper in fear) (Shouting) Ed: Hold position! Hold position! Sam: The window's opening! Ed: What do we got?! What do we got?! Parker: Where's the shooter?! Female passenger: We don't know! Ed: Let's get this fire out.
Let's go! Let's go! (Fire extinguishers whoosh) Female passenger: Please help the driver! He's unconscious! You have to help him! Man: (Coughing) Man: Relax, man.
Parker: Hey, man in grey! You have to lead the way, single file up the hill, okay? Go! Ed: Boss, Sam and I are going in! Parker: Copy.
Sam: Bus is clear! No sign of suspects! One civilian down! (Extinguishers whoosh) Police! Police! Sam, this thing's gonna blow! Let's get him outta here! Come on, buddy.
Spike, Jules, let's get the water canons down here! Let's move out! Let's go! Jules, wait, we've gotta get Mac! Mac! Mac?! Where the hell'd he go? Jules: He musta gone! Come on, spike! Spike: Where the hell'd he go? Jules: The bus is gonna blow! Mac! Spike! (Water sprays) (Cooling metal sizzles) K-9's on its way.
We've got a chopper coming with infrared.
How are we doing on containment? Ed: We've contained this area here down to this point in the highway.
Wordy: But, over on this side, the woods connect to an industrial park next to the airport.
Ed: We just don't have enough man power to contain it yet.
Parker: Okay.
Jules, what do you got? All the passengers are accounted for, but nobody saw fawcett or Bullard take off.
They must have escaped during the rescue.
Parker: Any luck? Spike: His phone's in the car, but nobody saw Mac come back this way.
He just disappeared.
Ed: All right, until we know better, we've got to assume that fawcett and Bullard have him.
Took him as a hostage.
They can use him as a bargaining chip if we corner them again.
Okay, Sam, Jules - bravo team - moving southwest.
Wordy and I - Alpha team - moving northwest.
You guys stay sharp.
By my count, there's still another five rounds left in that SLP.
Spike, don't worry.
We're gonna find him.
Let's move out.
Sam: Copy.
Parker: Winnie.
Winnie: Yeah, boss.
Contact narcotics.
I want to know everything they have on Brett fawcett and Jeremy Bullard.
Everything and anything that's not on their sheets.
Winnie: Copy that.
I'll let you know what I find.
(Trailer door shuts) The chopper will be here any minute.
Spike: (Keyboard keys click) Right.
I shouldn't have let this happen.
I should have got him outta that car.
Parker spike You did exactly what you were supposed to do, exactly the way you needed to do it.
You got those civilians outta there safely.
Boss, Oliver MacCoy wasn't just my t.
O.
He helped me through a lot of stuff those first couple years.
My father wasn't too big about me being police; My mother never wants to take sides, so I didn't have anybody.
But I had Mac.
Mac was there.
He was one of those guys who teaches by example.
He's one of those guys I wanted to grow up to be.
And he saved my life more than once.
Parker: Okay, officer.
It's time to return the favour.
Let's get on with that chopper and figure out where he is.
All right.
Copy that, boss.
(Helicopter whirs) (Squirrel chatters) Alpha one, clear.
Heading west.
Sam: They've been through here.
There's fresh blood on the trail.
It looks like they're heading north.
Mac only had a knock to the head.
If it's his blood Parker let's not jump to conclusions, buddy.
One step at a time.
(Keyboard keys click) (Leaves crunch underfoot) Wordy: Imager's got something.
Over there.
Boss, we've got a bloody t-shirt here.
Somebody's in pretty bad shape.
Parker: Yeah, copy that.
We'll notify hospitals and local clinics in case that's where they're headed.
Boss, I've got something on fawcett and Bullard.
Go ahead, winnie.
Winnie: Seems they were arrested last Friday trying to move large amounts of heroin.
They're each facing at least ten years.
That's reason enough to run.
Winnie: They were also flagged by guns and gangs.
Turns out Jeremy Bullard's Uncle is Paul Bullard.
Parker: Paul Bullard.
Leader of the bedlam gang.
Winnie: I'm sending you the file now.
Spike: (Computer beeps) There he is.
Sam: So these guys are drug dealers? Ed: More than that.
Bedlam runs drugs, guns and prostitution on the whole West Side.
Jules: Weren't bedlam suspected in those pipe bomb killings a few months back? Parker: Yeah, those and a dozen others.
Gang unit's been trying to put Paul Bullard away for years.
Ed: If these guys are tight with bedlam, that changes everything.
They make contact, we are into a whole new mess.
(Computer beeps urgently) Spike: Boss, I got something.
Chopper's picking up heat signatures in bravo four.
(Computer beeps) Parker: Sam and Jules, that's about 300 meters northwest of your position.
Sam: (Quietly) How many? All of them? Spike: Looks like one.
It could be Mac.
Parker: We don't know that for sure.
Approach with caution.
Jules: Copy that.
(Water sloshes) (Chopper buzzes overhead) (Computer beeps) Spike: That's it.
Another fifty meters.
Parker: Just go careful.
Please, guys.
They've already shot one cop today.
Jules: Copy that, boss.
Sam: Police, drop your weapon! (Gun shot booms) (Shots ring out) Bravo? What's your status? Jules: No harm.
It's not Mac.
Sam: Subject's on the run.
Fawcett: (Panting heavily) Jules: He's headed west! (Bone crunching thump) Ed: We got him, boss! Where are they?! Fawcett: I don't know! Ed: Come on! That's not good enough! When the bus caught fire I helped Jeremy out the window, and by the time I hit the ground, they were halfway to the trees.
Ed: Where'd Jeremy take the officer? Fawcett: Man, you got it backwards.
It was the cop who was taking Jeremy.
Jeremy: (Breathing heavily) Oliver: Put the cell phone down, ma'am! Put it down! Driver: Okay, I'm putting it down.
Step out of the car.
Step aside.
Driver: Sir, what's going on? Can you tell me what's going on? Sir! (Car accelerates) Ed: He's sticking to his story.
He said he saw MacCoy drag Jeremy Bullard into the woods.
Wordy: Fawcett took off in the opposite direction and he hasn't seen them since.
Spike: Well, he's gotta be lying.
He's trying to throw us off.
Just got a report from a woman over on massey who was carjacked near the industrial park.
She said a police officer pulled a gun, threw her out of the car.
No, no.
Mac wouldn't do that.
Jules: Spike, how well do you know MacCoy? As well as I know any of you guys.
Parker: Okay, Sam, did you get a make and model of the car? And a license plate - there's an apb out.
Ed: All right, let's get over to that industrial park.
Parker: Spike, you're with me.
Winnie.
Winne: Yeah, boss.
Parker: Contact 52 division.
Anything you can find out about sergeant Oliver MacCoy.
Winnie: Copy that, boss.
To find out what's going on.
Jeremy: (Handcuffs clank) Please.
Let's just go back.
You can turn me in.
Too late for that.
Jeremy: (Grimaces in pain) (Tires squeal) (Tires crunch to a halt) Parker: Any luck with traffic cameras? Spike: Not this far out, but that car they jacked comes loaded with a journeypath GPS tracking system.
Parker: So you can pinpoint the car's location.
Spike: Yeah, I'm uploading to the server now.
We'll have a location in five minutes.
Winnie: Boss, I found something on sergeant MacCoy.
Go ahead, winnie.
Winnie: I contacted 52 division and it seems MacCoy wasn't scheduled to be on that transport detail.
He switched shifts? Winnie: First thing this morning.
People swap shifts all the time.
Winnie: According to the other officer, sergeant MacCoy pulled rank and then ordered him off the detail.
Then he insisted on going alone.
Parker: Okay, thanks, winnie.
Boss, this doesn't make any sense.
Mac's a decorated police officer.
I can't believe he'd plan this.
You know of any connection between him and this Bullard kid? Wait, Jeremy Bullard got busted for dealing, right? Parker: Heroin.
Okay, Mac's got a daughter, Leslie, and she's had a pretty serious drug problem for a while now, but the last time I saw them both, she was clean.
Dad, I think we need to turn it the other way.
Just clock it to the left, honey, it's gonna wrap right around the door frame.
Spike: You better do what he says.
You'll just end up doing it his way anyway.
(Couch thumps) Leslie: Spike, hey! Got a housewarming.
Sorry, I couldn't find a pot.
You know what? I think I have the perfect one inside.
Just like an s.
R.
U.
Hotshot.
Show up right at the end, claim all the glory.
You want something done right, you gotta know who to call.
Both: (Grunting with effort) Spike: Got it? You got the girl's end.
Spike: Yeah? Both: (Grunting with effort) Well, I see sitting at that computer hasn't made you completely soft.
Yeah, well clearly the beat's keeping you in peak physical shape.
Oh, you're not sticking your hair up in the air anymore with all that mousse.
It was gel.
Uh huh.
Yeah.
Both: (Chuckle) How is she? Oh, she's dong real good.
She's been clean for three months now.
I sent her up north to that rehab place three oaks.
Did a good job with her.
They really straightened her out.
Well, if you need anything Yeah, I know, I know.
I can handle it, but I know who to call.
Leslie: It's a little big, but what do think? Well, that's perfect, honey.
That's uh It's beautiful! Mac paid for the place.
He even helped her find a job.
Three oaks.
That rehab's not cheap.
Mac's wife, rose, died a year ago and Leslie took it pretty hard.
Mac tried everything and that was the only place that worked.
Parker: So if Leslie did relapse and Mac knew who sold her the drugs, maybe he's looking for some kind of a payback, somebody to blame.
But he knows it doesn't work that way; He's a cop.
Parker: Spike, he's also a father.
Ed and wordy, you guys keep looking in the industrial park.
Ed: Copy that.
Parker: Sam, Jules, head over to the daughter's place.
Maybe she's got something that can help us figure out what's going on here.
Sam: Got it.
Location? It's an apartment building in Bloor west.
Jules: Copy.
(Car accelerates) Spike: We've found MacCoy.
Satellite's got a location on the car.
You're looking at a warehouse at Balmoral and Ross.
That's six blocks from here.
Spike, which way are they headed? Spike: Tracker says the car's not moving.
Ed: We're on it.
(Siren starts up) Let's get him before he starts moving again.
We're right behind you.
So what's the call here? Until we know otherwise, we treat him as hostile.
(Tires squeal, sirens wail) (Vehicles screech to a halt) Ed: What do we got? The satellite shows the car should be parked just around back.
Let's move.
Okay, let's hold up.
Spike? I don't get it.
The tracker says it should be here.
Ed: Spike! The car isn't, but the GPS is.
He pulled it out of the trunk.
(Knocking loudly) Sam: Leslie MacCoy? It's the police! (Knocking loudly) Jules: Leslie?! We need to talk to you about your father.
(Thumping noise) Leslie? Sam: Sir! Sir, it's the police! Whoa, whoa, what's going on? Who are you? John: I'm John Dixon.
I'm the super.
Where's Leslie MacCoy? I don't- I don't know.
I got a complaint from downstairs saying water was coming in from the ceiling.
So I just I let I let myself in.
Have you seen Leslie? No.
But the front door was open and the bathroom fawcett was running.
When was that? About an hour ago.
And judging by the amount of water, I'd say it had been running awhile.
Jules: All right, we're gonna need contact info on Leslie.
Employer, friends I think she works at a coffee shop on fifth.
I got that number on her file downstairs.
Get it, please.
John: Yeah.
Parker: The employer hasn't heard from her? Jules: She never showed up for her shift this morning and they still haven't been able to reach her.
Sam: Cell phone's still here.
Four missed calls.
Jules: Hey, boss, it looks like she left this place in a hurry, and my guess, it was not by choice.
Leslie disappears the same day Mac takes off with an escaped prisoner? Bit of a coincidence.
The only way Mac would do something illegal is if by force, and I know he'd do anything to protect Leslie.
So somebody took his daughter to twist his arm.
I've got a pretty good idea who.
Head of bedlam - Paul Bullard.
(Pool balls clatter) Now that's how you break.
(Cell phone rings) (Cell phone beeps on) Man: Yeah.
It's him.
You're late.
Yeah, I know.
There was an accident.
Accident? Is Jeremy okay? Yeah, he's, he's fine.
I mean, he's lost a lot of blood.
He's gonna need a hospital.
No, no, bring him over here.
I'll take care of him.
I will, but listen, Paul, they know we're gone, all right? The police are looking for me.
Then you better get him over here or the deal is off.
Let me talk to her.
Are you giving me orders, officer? Paul, you want your nephew free, you let me talk to my daughter right now! Now tell your daddy how well we're taking care of you.
(Shaky breaths) Dad?! Hey, sweetheart.
(Crying) Dad, I don't know what's going on.
Hey, it'slt's okay, honey.
I'm handling it.
It's gonna be okay.
Leslie: (Crying) I'm so sorry, dad.
I'm so sorry.
I I stayed clean and paid my debts.
I don't know these guys, I swear.
I know.
I know, honey.
It's It's not your fault.
This is all my fault.
(Gasping) Bullard: You see? She's in good hands.
Now I want Jeremy here in exactly 20 minutes.
Look, Paul, I can't well, that's too bad.
I mean, after all you've done for your little girl, it would be a real shame if she relapsed and accidentally OD'd.
Oliver: Paul, listen to me.
Paul? (Phone beeps off) Paul? (Phone clatters) Ed: Any sign of MacCoy? Parker: Ah, nothing so far.
Nothing on the apb either.
This guy just vanished.
Guys, you need to see this.
It's from a security camera outside Leslie's building.
Jules: This was the only angle.
And nobody saw anything? Jules: No one we talked to.
Time stamp was 6:45 this morning.
We're sure it's Bullard's people? Jules: Not 100 per cent.
Spike: I got partial plates and (Computer beeps, scan whirs) Right there.
I recognize him from the file.
(Computer beeps) John Delany.
Parker: A.
K.
A.
Big John.
Ed: Big John? Parker: He's one of Bullard's main lieutenants.
So Bullard's people grabbed the daughter before MacCoy's shift, and forced him to spring the nephew.
Wordy: But why target MacCoy and not the cop originally assigned the detail? More important, where'd they take the daughter? Hey, buddy, where is she? Where'd they take her? I'm asking you a question! Who knows, man? Who knows? Okay.
(Car accelerates) (Tires screech, thumps head) Hey, man, what the hell? What?! Start talkin'! I got nothin' to say to you! Where's Leslie MacCoy?! Like I said, I got nothing to say.
Let me ask you this: How do you think Paul bullard is gonna react when he finds out that you left his nephew in a burning bus?! I don't imagine he's gonna be very happy.
Not happy at all.
That's not how it happened.
Well, that is what he's gonna hear unless you tell us what we need to know.
Now! I didn't know the whole plan.
I did find out that cop, he was gonna let us go.
We screwed up, man.
Big.
Fawcett: Jay, would you chill? Jeremy you said is was gonna be a couple packages, not ten keys! Ten keys, man.
That's serious.
It's gonna be all right.
No, man.
It's not.
I don't wanna do ten years, man.
Fawcett: Yo, officer, you missed the exit to lock-up.
You're not going back to lock-up.
Why not? Hey, I said why not? Where are we going? Your Uncle Paul has arranged for you to go away.
You're getting out of the country.
What? Hey, no way, man.
Hey! No way, man! (Feet banging, head thumping) Hey! Turn us back around! (Head thumps) Hey! Hey, hey! Just sit back and shut it! Fawcett: Hey! (Tires squeal) When we landed, the door was open and that cop's out cold.
So why was Jeremy afraid to go see his Uncle? (Sighing) That "h" we sold Wasn't exactly ours.
It belonged to Paul bullard.
We found some other buyers willing to pay more.
We thought we'd show Jeremy's Uncle Paul that we, you know, had some savvy.
And these other buyers were cops.
It was entrapment, man.
It was you being an idiot.
(Violent jerk) Where's Paul bullard now? I swear I don't know.
I'm not high enough up on the chain to know where they are.
Wordy: You know what? I'm not buying it.
All this so bullard can kick his nephew's ass before he sends him away? Bedlam doesn't mess around.
(Crying) Oliver: Jeremy.
Jeremy, stay awake! So we know Mac's taking Jeremy to see Paul bullard.
Parker: And we can assume the daughter's being held someplace secure.
Winnie, contact guns and gangs.
We need an updated list of any properties known to belong to the bedlam crew.
Winnie: Copy that.
And boss? I have something else might be relevant.
Go ahead.
There's an I.
A.
File building against sergeant MacCoy.
Internal affairs? What do they want with Mac? Winnie: They said it involved unusual bank activity.
I.
A.
Uncovered regular payments from an investment company suspected of having ties to the bedlam gang.
Thanks, winnie.
So that's why he didn't call when Leslie was taken.
He was afraid we were gonna find out he was working for bullard.
Parker: He probably thought he could take care of it himself Before the accident.
Spike: When his wife was sick, he flew her all over the country looking for treatment.
And then when he was trying to help Leslie get clean, paying for rehab, supporting her Why didn't I see it? Parker: Because you always see the best in people, scarlatti.
Hey, kid.
Come on, kid, stay awake.
We're almost there.
All right, Jeremy, wake up.
(Car door opening) (Car door slams shut) Please just let me go.
Sorry, kid, I can't do that.
(Handcuffs click) (Grimacing) (Grunting in pain) It looks pretty bad.
Please, I don't want to die.
That's not gonna happen.
You're gonna be okay.
Do you promise? (Breathing hard) Promise.
I'll tie it off.
Hold this.
(Shouts in pain) Now, look, I can loosen this up when the bleeding stops, but you gotta keep movin' the fingers in your hand.
You gotta keep that blood in your hand going, all right? That's it.
Good, good.
(Breathing hard) Look, it's gotta be tight.
(Screams in pain) One more.
(Screams) Come on, keep moving those fingers! Show me! That's it.
That's right.
Okay, we gotta go.
Winnie: Boss, gangs unit just sent me a full list of addresses known to be associated with bedlam or any of its members.
I'm forwarding it to you now, (computer beeps) But, boss, there's 50 places on this list.
Parker: We know he's headed downtown, so we can eliminate everything that's west of kipling, north of Dupont.
That still leaves us over 30 properties.
Even if we split and get backup, there's no way we can check 'em all in time.
Boss, if we talk to Mac, we could tell him we know about Leslie.
He might let us help him.
Spike, he left his phone so we couldn't track him.
Right.
And he disabled the journeypath GPS for the same reason, but there's a chance he didn't unhook the intercom, the one for roadside assistance.
I might be able to route a call directly through the journeypath server.
Okay.
Okay? (Computer beeping) Parker: (Over intercom) Sergeant MacCoy.
Sergeant Oliver MacCoy.
It's Greg Parker with the s.
R.
U.
Mac, it's spike.
If you can hear me, we know about Leslie.
We want to help.
We also know that you're working for bullard, that you're on his payroll.
Internal affairs has been building a file; They've been tracing payments.
Unless you tell me otherwise, unless you tell me Bullard's just trying to frame you, trying to make it look like you did something wrong, if you tell me that, Mac, I'm gonna believe you.
Mac! Please! Spike, you've gotta know I'd never do anything That would get anybody hurt.
It was just information.
If one of their places was gonna get hit, a bedlam member was gonna get picked up, I'd let 'em know.
That's it.
I never meant for any of this to happen.
(Handcuffs rattles) Mac, you took an oath.
Oliver: I spent every penny I had trying to save Rosie and she died anyway.
I couldn't face losing my little girl, spike.
I had to do something to take care of her.
But this? Letting two convicts go? How'd you think you were gonna get away with that?! Oliver: Ah, a couple guys overpower me while I'm getting gas, who's gonna blame me? Besides, when bullard asked me to do this, of course I said no.
Of course! But I had no choice.
(Sobbing) Daddy, I don't know what's going on.
I'm so sorry, dad.
I'm so sorry.
He's got my little girl, spike! You know she's my whole world! Then let us help you.
Tell us where you're meeting bullard, okay? We'll back you up.
Triangle lounge, queen street.
Triangle lounge on queen street.
You got that? On our way.
Copy.
(Siren wails) Spike: Okay, hold on.
Our team can be there in 10 minutes.
I can't do that.
I gotta get the kid there in less than five, or Bullard's gonna kill my girl.
(Siren wails) I'll drop the kid off.
I'll give him to his Uncle.
I'll make sure Leslie's okay.
I'll try to stall bullard as long as I can until your team gets there.
Spike: All right, Mac.
Okay, Mac, it's gonna be okay, okay? She's gonna be okay.
I got your back.
(Sirens wail) (Tires squeal, vehicle approaches) (Tires squeal to stop) All right, I'm here on time.
Were you followed? Oliver: No.
Give me a hand with him.
Give me your gun.
Your gun.
All right, take it! Just give me a hand getting him inside.
Put him in my truck.
We gotta take him to see bullard.
Oliver: What? Where's bullard?! He's not here.
Where's my daughter?! Don't worry, she's safe.
You can have her back after you get the kid to his Uncle.
(Car door opens) All right, come on, kid.
Jeremy: (Grimacing) Big John: (Truck door shuts) Get in the truck.
Man: (Coughs) (Muffled sound) Ronnie, go check that out.
(Heavy footsteps) Ronnie: (Muffled shout) Ronnie? Yo, Ronnie! (Pulls gun from holsters) S.
R.
U team: S.
R.
U! Put down the weapon! Get on the ground! Down on the ground! Do it! Get on the ground! Get on the ground! Get down now! (Hard shove, bad guy grunts) Leslie: (Timidly) Spike.
Spike: Leslie! Leslie! It's okay, it's okay, it's okay! Where's your dad? I don't know, he never showed up.
Boss! Mac never showed up! Ed: Where's bullard? Where's bullard?! Okay, one last time: Where did they take Jeremy bullard? Bearded guy: I don't know, man.
I haven't seen the little snitch! (Grunts in pain) Snitch? Jeremy.
Over here.
Bring him here.
Jeremy: (Grimaces in pain) Jeremy: He's lost a lot of blood.
I've stopped the bleeding, but he's gonna need a doctor soon.
Sure.
Of course.
There you go.
Jeremy: (Gasps) Feel better? Yeah.
Good.
We're gonna get you taken care of, okay, kid? First I have a few questions to ask you.
Nobody's saying anything about where bullard is.
Staff sergeant from 52 division says Jeremy was down there with his lawyer and the prosecutor.
He cut a deal.
Reduced sentence for testimony against his Uncle.
And somehow bullard found out.
He's not planning to send Jeremy out of the country.
Jules: Hey, boss.
A uniform on a drive-by reported seeing that truck from a security video.
Where? Outside a garage, other end of the waterfront.
Parker: Spike! Spike: Jarod! Leslie, it's okay.
It's gonna be all right, okay? Bullard: So we both know you got something to tell me.
So let's clear the air and we can move on, yes? Uncle Paul It's okay, kid.
Just say it.
Oliver: Paul, he needs a doctor.
Tell me it's all gonna be good.
The heroin, I'm sorry! I don't care about the heroin.
Just tell me about the cops.
You met again with them this morning, didn't you? To cut a deal? What did you say? I didn't wanna do ten years.
What did you tell them? Just about The containers, and the shipments from Boston.
But that's it, I swear to God! That's it.
You see? That was easy.
That's all I needed to know.
Now John over here's gonna take you out for a little ride, get you all sorted out.
Jeremy: (Wimpering) Uncle Paul Oliver: Paul, just let him go like you said.
Bullard: Giving me orders again, officer? Stay out of this! (Whimpering) Uncle Paul, please! I'm sorry.
I didn't have a choice.
Please! You're done.
Finish him.
Jeremy: (Gasps) Big mistake, MacCoy.
Yeah, I know.
It's one I made a long time ago.
(Gunshot blasts) (Exchanging bullets) (Bullets ricochet) (Guns blast) (Vehicles screech to a halt) Sam: Put the guns down right now! S.
R.
U.
Team: (Shouting commands) Hands in the air! Put the gun down! Put it down! Put the gun down! Sam: Stay right there! Don't move! Ed: Go, go, go! Parker: Stay.
Sam: Don't move a muscle! Jeremy: Over here! We need help! Mac! Officer down! Officer down! We need medics in here right now! (Gasping) Leslie? We got her, we got her.
She's okay, okay? You just hang on! (Grimacing in pain) S.
R.
U.
Swoop in for all the glory.
(Coughing and grimacing) Spike You gotta take care of Leslie.
See she's gonna be okay.
You're gonna do that yourself, okay? As soon as you feel better.
Oliver: (Weakly) Spike, promise me she won't be alone.
I'll do what I can.
(Strained) Promise! I promise! (Choking up) I promise! Oliver: (Wheezing and gasping) Spike: Mac? Oliver: (Wheezes weakly) Mac.
Mac! I could be sold in an instant I could be saved in the same and I could live in a lifetime I could die in a day You should take some time.
He was a good cop.
Yes.
That's why, when he saw a young man facing execution, he did something about it.
You know why he was able to do something like that? Because he knew you had his back.
He knew you'd be there for his daughter.
You know what else that guy did? What? He taught you everything you know about being a good cop.
And you're one of the best I've ever known.
Full of creatures both wicked and wild (Knock at door) Leslie: Hey.
Spike: Hey.
That's it.
That's the last of your dad's stuff from the station.
And I'll come by tomorrow after shift and I'll help you clear out the rest from his place.
You don't have to, spike, I can handle it.
I know, but you're gonna be seeing a lot more of me from now on, so you'd better get used to it.
Thanks.
You're welcome.
Um, I need to show you something.
I found this when I was packing up my dad's place.
He followed your whole career.
Look.
He was so proud of you.
That was our first day.
Nice hair.
