Hunted

1 No matter what you're doin' No matter what you're playin' No matter what you're sayin' 'Cause we're doing it all the same No matter where you are Where you're comin' from Put your hand on your heart Don't wait Yeah, you know that I, we, me, us We're doing it all the same No matter where you are Where you're comin' from Put your hand on your heart Don't wait Yeah, you know that I, we, me, us We're doing it all the same [VOCALIZING.]
[ZOE.]
Life moves pretty fast around here.
One moment you're wild and free.
The next, someone wants to hunt you down.
"Wild Horse Rampage," "Bright Field Stampede," "Mane Event Is a Night-Mare.
" The mayor can't just come to our island and threaten one of our wild horses.
She was deadly serious last night.
She almost caught me, and I had to apply for her internship to cover my tracks.
Only you, Susie.
[ZOE.]
This is all my fault.
I'm the one that suggested the open day, brought the mayor to Bright Fields, and then made her mad.
Now she's gonna have an innocent horse put down.
Not if I find it first.
Wait, Pin, you saw that horse yesterday.
- She was - Provoked.
She wouldn't act like that unless she was sick.
I'm gonna track her down and find out what's going on.
Wait I'm coming with you.
Me, too.
And me.
We can't let you take on a crazy horse on your own, can we? [MAYOR.]
We must protect the general public.
My daughter was badly hurt.
- I'm lucky to be alive.
- We're sending a message here.
This island is a safe place, and we're open for business.
That horse must go.
I'll find her, ma'am.
So when we find her, we're just gonna take her back to your place, right? Yeah.
We can keep her in the shipping container until I figure out what's wrong with her.
Pin's original horse hospital.
I keep thinking about that horse you saved last summer.
I wonder how he's doing.
Maybe we'll see him.
Maybe.
- I'll tack up Elvis.
- Okay.
[SIGHS.]
Oh, um Hey, Gaby.
Uh, what you doing? [GABY.]
Tacking up.
But it's my turn to ride Major.
I'm sorry, Jade, I need him.
Right, erm it's just I'm doing my science project on the wild herd [GABY.]
Look, I really need to find that horse.
[JADE.]
No, I know, it's just Gaby you can take Raven.
Don't be silly, he's yours.
Ha! That didn't stop you last summer.
[MIA LAUGHS.]
She's right.
You already know how to ride him.
I can just take out Monty.
You sure? - I'm sure.
- [MIA.]
Come on, we haven't got all day.
You're coming? Pin needs to stay on the right side of the mayor.
He can't afford anymore bad publicity.
And, uh I may just have some publicity of my own to share with you all.
Hey, Mum.
Wanna hang today? We could go to the pier or the cafe, or something else on your list? I'm in the middle of a PR nightmare, sweetheart.
I will not let one horse ruin everything I've worked for.
Fine.
Guess I'll I find something else totally dangerous to do.
With my bad arm.
That's my girl.
[MARCUS.]
So, your first Breakfast Club session.
- How are you feeling? - Pretty pumped.
[MARCUS.]
What's planned for your first lesson? Well, I'm thinking we could ride out with the others - and try and find that wild pony.
- What? A fugitive pony, a mayor on the warpath.
It's the perfect intro to riding.
Oh, I think I'm going to be sick.
I've never ridden before.
Yeah, I think maybe it's a bit soon for wild pony hunting.
Keep it simple.
There's a lot to get right before you even go near a horse.
Hot Marcus has spoken, keep it simple, no horses.
This is going to be great.
- [WHIP CRACKS.]
- Huh? - [CLATTER.]
- What the heck? Aaron! Yee-haw! - [HEATHER.]
Hi, guys.
- Look.
Heather's here.
What the heckity heck? Where do I sign up? Breakfast Club is go! [HORSE NEIGHS.]
Everything okay, Gaby? [SIGHS.]
Yeah, just I forgot how strong he was.
- What did you feed him this morning? - Ha! Raven, be good for Gaby.
We have a crazy horse to find.
It's silly I met her for two seconds yesterday, but I already can't bear the idea of anything happening to her.
There's nothing silly about that.
If we head up this way, there's a shortcut.
Does it lead to the west moor? We're not going to the west moor.
We're going to the castle.
You mean your castle.
It's yours now, so own it.
I know I would.
[CAR DOOR BANGS.]
[ZOE.]
Whoa, you guys.
Council car.
Susie did say the mayor had everyone looking for the horse.
We'll just wait for him to drive on.
[HORSE NEIGHS.]
- Shh, please.
- [PIN.]
Keep him quiet.
- [HORSE NEIGHS.]
- Shh.
[HORSE GRUNTS.]
[MAN.]
Who's there? What you doing? [MIA.]
What's she doing? No idea.
[IN A MOCK POSH VOICE.]
Why, hello there! Er - Are you lost? - I'm looking for a dangerous horse.
I was told the wild herd were near Bright Field Stables.
You know, I'm jolly sure that the wild horses like to summer off the coast.
Really? Absolutely.
- [GABY GIGGLING.]
What? - [LAUGHS.]
I'll get over there then.
Thanks for the tip.
Oh, of course! Pip-pip, cheerio, mate! [ENGINE STARTS.]
It won't be long until he figures it out.
We have to hurry.
Was that supposed to be a British accent? Did you like it? I thought it was jolly good, eh, mate.
[LAUGHS.]
[HEATHER.]
Cut it out.
Why are you even here? Zoe thinks it'll keep me out of trouble.
You? I'm basically trying to annoy my mum.
Epic riders of the future, welcome to Breakfast Club.
We're going to get together every morning and have a horse some time.
By the end of summer, you'll all be completely infected with the pony bug.
So, what are we doing today? A quick cross-country course? [BECKY.]
Let's start with hats.
You don't choose your hat, your hat chooses you.
Okay, you do actually need to choose your hat.
Your hat should feel snug, but not too snug.
Take your time, people.
Remember, today is all about the basics.
[SIGHING.]
This is so boring.
And bad things happen when I get bored.
[HORSE NEIGHS.]
[HORSE NEIGHS.]
[GABY.]
Where are they? [MIA.]
Hearing Raven probably scared them away.
[HORSE GRUNTS, SNORTS.]
[PIN.]
See these hoof prints? They've definitely been here.
Why would they move? They've got grazing and water on the castle moor.
Well, maybe they're on the west moor, like I said.
Mia, what's your obsession with the west moor? [PIN.]
She could be right.
The horses graze there in winter.
It's worth a try.
West moor it is.
[PIP.]
Come on.
Ground's firmer on the other side of the castle.
- Your castle.
- Can we please just go? - [HORSE NEIGHS.]
- [GABY.]
Raven.
Raven! Gaby's right, we're running out of time.
[ZOE.]
It's okay, Raven.
We're almost there.
Ta-da! [HEATHER.]
What is that? [BECKY.]
That is Straw Bob.
I did not come here to ride a hay bale.
If you're such an expert, you can help Winnie mount Straw Bob whilst I go and get us some water.
We're starting on page 23, "Effective Mounting.
" Time for some real fun? Come on, Straw Bob.
Giddy-up.
Another tour group have just canceled.
[SIGHS.]
Apparently their insurance doesn't cover wild animal attacks.
That's a bit of an overreaction.
It's just one little horse.
One macchiato.
With sprinkles! Mm.
Just what I needed.
Thanks, Sadie.
- [LAUGHING.]
Susie.
- [PHONE RINGS.]
Found the herd? Not yet, but I've only just got to the beach.
[MAYOR.]
They're moor ponies.
Whatever made you think they'd be on a beach? I got a tip-off.
Maybe the horses swam to the mainland.
[MAYOR.]
Just start at the castle ground.
I want that horse off my island by the end of the day.
[PHONE BEEPS.]
[JADE.]
Do you really think they'd come all the way up here? I didn't think they'd come to Bright Fields, but they did.
Right now, anything is possible.
[RAVEN NEIGHS.]
Gaby - what are you doing? - [NEIGHING.]
Okay, it's not me, it's him.
- There's something wrong.
- [ZOE.]
Raven! [RAVEN NEIGHS.]
[ZOE.]
What are you doing? I can't control him.
[ZOE.]
He was fine this morning.
I couldn't live with myself if they found that horse because of me.
- So ride Monty.
- I'm done riding today.
I am putting this entire pony squad mission at risk.
I'm done.
Just find her, Zoe.
Find her for me.
[RAVEN NEIGHS.]
I don't think Raven's acting up, I think he's trying to tell us something.
Please, spare us the wonder-horse chat.
Now, since we're all here on the west moor, - there's something I'd love you to see.
- I'm serious, Mia.
[RAVEN NEIGHS.]
Did you hear that? Something's wrong.
A bad rider always blames her horse.
I left my family behind for Raven, so the least I can do is listen to him when he's trying to help us.
[ZOE.]
Show me, boy.
Can I take my blindfold off yet? Good mounting is about balance, Winnie.
It's harder to keep your balance in the dark, but you're doing great.
Am I? I'll help you up.
One, two, three.
[GASPS.]
Wow.
Straw Bob's really lifelike.
He even smells real.
[CHUCKLES.]
It feels like I'm moving.
But I can't be, because it's only straw, isn't it? Okay, Winnie, take off your blindfold.
Smile, you're on horseback! Yee-haw! Ride 'em, cowgirl! [WINNIE.]
Whoa, what's he doing? [HEATHER.]
Squeeze your legs, that'll make him stop.
- [WINNIE.]
Bob! Bob! - Won't that make him go faster? Will it? Wait! Winnie, don't! [WINNIE MOANS.]
Bob, stop! - Help! - What's going on? - It was her! - It was him! - [WINNIE.]
Help me! - Winnie, hold on! [WINNIE CRIES.]
Help! [DISTANT NEIGHING.]
[HORSE NEIGHS.]
[ZOE.]
There she is! Raven was right.
[HORSE SNORTS GENTLY.]
[LAUGHS.]
He knew all along.
Now we just have to catch her.
[LAUGHS.]
[HORSE SNORTS GENTLY.]
[PHONE RINGS.]
The council are heading to the castle.
No, it's okay.
The wild horses aren't there, they're here - on the west moor.
- Near your dad's development.
What are the wild horses doing out near the west moor? So that's where they are.
Oh Mayor Wright, I I was just coming to tell you.
The horses are near the west moor.
You need to get over there now.
You've finally done something useful.
Good work, Stacey.
Susie.
[SIGHS.]
[PHONE LINE RINGS.]
[SIGHING.]
Mia, pick up.
They're coming.
[HORSE NEIGHS.]
Everyone, go slow.
If one horse panics, the whole herd could scatter.
[HORSE NEIGHS.]
Okay [HORSE SNORTS GENTLY.]
[HORSE NEIGHS.]
[LAUGHS.]
You did it! [ENGINE STARTS, REVS.]
You guys, they found us.
[HORSES NEIGH EXCITEDLY.]
[ENGINE REVS.]
[HORSE NEIGHS.]
[MIA.]
Firefly! Firefly, stop! Slow down! [HORSES NEIGH EXCITEDLY.]
[HORSE NEIGHS.]
- Get after her! - You get Mia, I'll get the wild horse.
- [HORSES NEIGH.]
- [ENGINE ROARS.]
[ZOE.]
Come on, boy.
[HORSE NEIGHS.]
[NEIGHS.]
[SNORTS.]
[TIRES SQUEAL.]
[HORSE NEIGHS.]
[ENGINE SPUTTERS.]
[HORSE NEIGHS.]
Tell your boss, "Pony Squad says hi.
" [HORSES NEIGH.]
[MIA.]
He won't stop! [PIP.]
Mia! [MIA SCREAMS.]
[MIA.]
The keys! [SIGHS, LAUGHS.]
Got them.
Are you okay? Yes, I'm fine.
I'm fine.
Come on.
- You okay? - Yeah.
- Can you ride? - Um no, I don't think so.
Don't worry, I'll walk with you.
We've lost everyone else anyway.
Could you lead Firefly? Uh, my wrist hurts.
No problem.
[CLICKS TONGUE.]
Come on.
[PIP.]
The Firefly Hotel.
[MIA.]
Mm-hmm.
All part of the mayor's new island makeover.
Now I see why you wanted to ride up here.
So we could all gaze in wonder at your massive face.
[CHUCKLES.]
I wanted to take a selfie in front of it.
[LAUGHS.]
Well, still time.
No, I've changed my mind.
I just want to go home.
Bob? Are you in here? [HORSE WHINNIES.]
- Winnie.
- The noise or the kid? - Both.
- [WINNIE.]
Help! Right, stay calm.
Bob can sense fear.
And food.
- I thought I was going to die.
- It's okay.
I never wanted to get on a horse.
[BECKY.]
Neither did I my first time.
- Really? - Yep.
It was all a happy accident involving Bob, and a squirrel, and a low-hanging stirrup.
[LAUGHS.]
Come on, Winnie, let's call your folks.
What you two did to Winnie was mean, and dangerous.
Come on, I just jazzed up your boring lesson.
You terrified Winnie.
That breaks every single Breakfast Club rule.
Including the ones that I haven't invented yet.
I'm sorry.
I messed up.
Please don't tell Zoe.
[HEATHER.]
Don't apologize.
She doesn't get to tell us off.
[BECKY.]
Does anyone ever? The way you two are acting, I guess not.
Before you fire me from your lame little club, I quit.
Thought you were tracking the wild horse.
I thought you were teaching the juniors.
Breakfast Club imploded.
Now it's just breakfast.
I only did the lessons so I could pay for Bob's keep.
And spend more time with him.
But I reckon those kids needed the club more than either of us.
Now it's over.
So just give up.
I'm pretty sure that's the opposite of what you're supposed to tell me to do.
Sometimes giving up's the only option.
What happened? It's stupid.
[LAUGHS.]
It's just, part of me thought I might've found my horse yesterday.
But she'll never be mine.
[HORSE NEIGHS.]
Do you hear that? Is this a front leg or a back leg? Huh.
No idea.
Looks like a broken leg to me.
Hey, Winnie, got a second? Okay, about earlier I'm sorry you got scared.
It was a horrible thing to do.
It was.
But I'm not going to tell your mum, or Zoe.
- You're not? - No.
Everyone deserves a second chance.
And a third, and maybe a fourth.
I heard your mum wants to send you away to school.
That's like my worst nightmare, so I'm not going to tell.
You're pretty cool, Winnie, you know that? Me? Cool? [CHUCKLES.]
I wouldn't go that far! Come on.
You just got on a real life horse for the first time ever.
I did, didn't I? Yep, I think that qualifies.
- [CHUCKLES.]
- Has anybody seen Straw Bob's head? - [DISTANT BANGS.]
- [HORSE NEIGHS.]
- What is that? - [BECKY.]
Marcus! Marcus! No idea.
Winnie, stay calm.
Aaron, get your lasso, and stay behind me.
Now! [HORSE NEIGHS.]
Deep breaths.
Yee-haw! What happened? [QUICK FOOTSTEPS.]
Zoe! You need to see this.
That's the wild mare.
Yep.
You were all out looking for her, but she came here.
We're calling her Ariel.
What, like The Tempest? - Like Little Mermaid.
- [LAUGHS.]
Ariel.
Gaby found her horse.
- She kind of found me.
- [BECKY.]
You should've seen her, Zoe.
Gaby was amazing.
She just stood her ground and brought Ariel in.
Wow, that that is amazing.
Good job, Gaby.
[ARIEL SNORTS GENTLY.]
With a little help from the Breakfast Club? [LAUGHS.]
Hey, here they are.
Are you okay? What happened? She had a bad fall.
We need to get you checked out.
What, so we can get back to training for your exam? That's not what I meant.
Good, 'cause I'm tired.
I'll see you tomorrow.
Yeah.
Yeah, great.
See you tomorrow.
[FIREFLY WHINNIES.]
[SIGHS.]
Get a grip, Mia.
[STOMPING.]
I'm so sorry, Firefly, I can't.
- [MAYOR.]
Well? - No luck, thanks to the duke and his friends.
[MAN.]
And, um I found someone else on the way back from the stables.
Can you leave us, please, Sandra? [MAYOR.]
You went back to Bright Fields? You told me to entertain myself.
So you decided to go riding with a bad arm? Are you mad? You look mad.
No.
Of course not.
And you know what? I think a summer of riding is just what you need.
Huh? Those Bright Field kids are up to something.
And I want you to find out what.
