I heard a growl sound.

We have worked years to build our credibility, our reputation, working alongside the most renowned professionals in the field, capturing groundbreaking proof of the paranormal.

As you all know, there's one town that pretty much is the birth of the "Ghost Adventures" crew -- Virginia City, Nevada.
A place that has imprinted scars on us forever.
And we are back to investigate a place whose haunted reputation stands above the rest of this entire town, where actor Johnny Depp had a paranormal experience with that of a little girl.
This place is Mackay Mansion.
It has a violent, dark past.
And we are here literally to help this owner because there is a dark, malevolent entity that is haunting this mansion.
At the peak of the notorious Comstock Lode, mining tycoon John Mackay became one of the wealthiest men to ever set foot in Virginia City, Nevada.
And in 1875, he purchased this mansion where he lived for the next 20 years.
But in the years since his departure, this mansion has become infested with many of Virginia City's lost souls.

Every time I drive into Virginia City and I come up that road, you see this mansion.
And we are told that there are some spirits in this mansion that you would like us to communicate with and find out who exactly they are.

And I'm not one that -- that -- that's, uh, accepting too many ghosts.
Uh, they do scare me.
We do have, uh, a couple little girls that -- that have talked to me.

It was said two men attempted to rob the vault and were shot right there at the entrance.

And the men just came in, attempted to rob the guard.

It would've had to have been point-blank, right where Zak is standing.

You almost wonder if you -- if I was feeling the gunshots.
And with the most negative energy said to manifest on the third floor, we head there to see if we can uncover exactly what is affecting the staff and visitors here.
Nick, is there a darker spirit in the mansion? GUERRA: There was a -- an entity in this room.

With a manipulative shape-shifting entity haunting this mansion, we have to consider that beneath the surface of Virginia City lies one of the most malevolent wellsprings of paranormal activity.

Before Mr.
Mackay even got into this mansion, in 1860, this mansion was the Gould and Curry Mining office.
The Gould and Curry mine shaft is located right across the street.
On June 24, 1897, there was a mine fire that killed 11 miners right here.
If the spirits of these miners are also going to their mining office, trying to let the people who were their bosses know that they died, these souls, these spirits could be coming right into this mansion from the mine.
Nick, somebody that we know told him that in the basement of the mansion here that there is actually an opening to the Gould and Curry mine.

The owner, Nick, says there is a very negative entity that is down there that is tormenting his workers, his staff.
The people that were putting a sprinkler system in the building literally ran out the building.

This guy named Troy, uh, he works in this building for Nick.
And he's had all kind of experiences.

It looks like there's, like, it looks like a plastic bag right here.

Think it's just a bunch of storage stuff? Is anybody up here? ZAK: Billy and I now break out the spirit box to try to make direct communication with the spirit that may be responsible for the unexplained exploding light bulb.

And at the same time, we receive two messages through the spirit box.

And with the most negative energy said to manifest on the third floor, we head there to see if we can uncover exactly what is affecting the staff and visitors here.

On June 24, 1897, there was a mine fire that killed 11 miners right here.
If the spirits of these miners are also going to their mining office, trying to let the people who were their bosses know that they died, these souls, these spirits could be coming right into this mansion from the mine.
Nick, somebody that we know told him that in the basement of the mansion here that there is actually an opening to the Gould and Curry mine.

What is your name? ZAK: During the final stage of our Virginia City investigation, Jay is confronted by a powerful force on the upper floor of Mackay Mansion.
What was that? ZAK: Just as Jay lifts the hatch to shoot inside the attic, something up there makes a very loud noise causing him to fall down the stairs.
AARON: Get your shot.

-Yeah, I'm all right.

It looks like there's, like, it looks like a plastic bag right here.
A whole lot of stuff.
Think it's just a bunch of storage stuff? Is anybody up here? ZAK: Billy and I now break out the spirit box to try to make direct communication with the spirit that may be responsible for the unexplained exploding light bulb.
[ Oscillating static .]
Can you talk to us? What is your name? BILLY: Stop, stop, stop, turn it off.

I heard footsteps right above us.

As we both hear footsteps above us, Billy captures something incredible on his camera.
Watch very closely as an unexplained mist manifests and moves towards Billy.
We believe whatever we just heard walking is now visually manifesting itself.
I then feel an energy pass right through me like it did earlier.
And at the same time, we receive two messages through the spirit box.
This is absolutely amazing.

Hey! It just said "Hi!" I know.

And he just said "Hi.
" You heard it, right? Hold on.
Turn on the lights right now.

" It's the same voice that said "Hi" that just said "Goodbye.
" What are the chances of that? Hi, goodbye.

After we receive this goodbye voice, all of the activity immediately stops as if this spirit, even though it scared the heck out of us, always intended to give us evidence to let us know that it is here and existing on the other side.
Back at the Mackay Mansion, Aaron and Jay have split up.
Aaron is on the third floor.
And Jay is inside the vault when the X camera covering the downstairs dining room captures something strange.
Watch very closely as a very odd anomaly appears through a reflection in the mirror.
This cannot be any type of car lights because all of the windows have been covered with black wrap.
And absolutely no one is on this floor right now.
What did you keep in this safe? ZAK: Then while Jay is still inside the vault, he hears something strange come through his walkie-talkie.
MAN: I didn'tdo it! Aaron? What was that? Come in.
-Dude, that sounded like Zak.
-Yeah, it did.
It sounded like he was screaming.
MAN: I didn'tdo it! MAN: I didn'tdo it! ZAK: Somehow they hear my voice in distress.
And the very disturbing part of this is that Billy and I never had walkie-talkies with us during this entire investigation.
As with our past investigations of Virginia City, Nevada, the disturbing evidence we documented at the Mackay Mansion and bank proves this is one of the most haunted towns imaginable.
And because of that, we'll one day return to add another chapter to the "Ghost Adventures" legacy.
