Ghost Hunters (2004) s10e03 Episode Script

Last Will and Evidence

All right, Jay.
JASON: Hey, Steve.
Yo.
There was a breath up here.
A breath? Yeah.
On this episode of "Ghost Hunters" Burn Brae Mansion in Glen Spey, New York.
There's a lady who actually wants to get married there.
I love this house, but my mom is deathly afraid.
JASON: The activity could be tied to the original owners.
STEVE: Is Margaret or Charles Elkin here? JASON: Is that you? Janice wants to get married here.
Is that coming from downstairs? K.
J.
: It sounded like a door.
and later Norwalk, Connecticut -- Gallaher Mansion.
Mr.
Gallaher was involved in inventing the first automobiles.
SAMANTHA: Both Mr.
and Mrs.
Gallaher died in this room.
Mrs.
Gallaher? Do you remember the car accident? Shh.
K.
J.
: Is that you, Mr.
Gallaher? Are you still working in your laboratory? That's unreal.

Burn Brae Mansion in Glen Spey, New York.
Yeah.
This mansion has been known, you know, to have activity.
JASON: It's believed that the activity could be tied to the original owners, Margaret and Charles Elkin.
A few of the Elkin children passed away young, and their coachman, William, attempted suicide on the property and later died.
There's just a lot of different claims that have been going on here.
There's a lady by the name of Janice Lai who's calling us in.
She actually wants to get married there.
A bunch of her family and friends refuse to stay there.
Man, you think a wedding day -- that's once in a lifetime, you know? And we need to make sure that big day is special for her.
Absolutely.
Paranormal or not, we're gonna do our best to assist.
TAPS case -- Burn Brae Mansion, Glen Spey, New York.
Hey.
How are you? Hey.
Welcome.
I'm Jason.
Hi.
Janice.
I'm Mike.
Hi.
Steve.
How are you? Nice to meet you.
Janice.
Mike.
Hi, Mike.
How are you doing? Mike.
Hi, I'm Dave.
How are you? Good to meet you.
Hi, I'm Dave.
What's some of the history here? This particular house was one of eight mansions that was built by the MacKenzie family.
JASON: Constructed in the early 1900s, Burn Brae Mansion was the summer home of Margaret and Charles Elkin.
Margaret was one of seven MacKenzie siblings to build a grand estate in Glen Spey.
Now a bed-and-breakfast, Burn Brae Mansion is one of the few MacKenzie mansions that remains standing today.
Now, there's a lot of claims of activity that have been going on here for a long, long time, right? Yes.
Correct.
All right, so, why don't you fill us in a little on that stuff? It was an apartment house when I bought it, and I restored this house back to what it is now.
I inherited with the house three families that lived in apartments upstairs, and they would tell me things -- hearing footsteps, seeing a woman sitting on three steps up there, and things like that.
And then once these people left, we started doing the house over again, and then I had people stay who would tell me the same stories.
And if you hear the same story from people that don't know each other, that are generations apart, you start thinking maybe there is something happening.
Has there been anything recent you may have experienced? Happens all the time.
All the time? All the time.
I have witnessed at least 30, 40 times since I've been here a cloud -- a flash that goes up these stairs.
JASON: A variety of claims have also been passed on to Mike's daughter by guests over the years.
People would often tell stories of seeing a man sitting on the steps to the bathroom, children playing, laughing, balls bouncing, hearing babies crying, doors slamming.
JASON: Guests also report being touched in several of the rooms.
GANSEL: I was downstairs in the dining room, and I was watching a show, and I felt a child grab my leg.
I turned.
There was no child.
You'll hear her little footsteps outside your door.
You'll hear her laugh.
Burn Brae Mansion is definitely haunted.
JASON: You've gotten all this stuff, and it happens throughout the entire property? Certain areas are more active than others.
And which areas are those? The attic is very, very active.
JASON: Footsteps and loud banging sounds have been heard coming from the attic.
And when you go into this next level, in that area where the three steps are, in that hallway, the first bedroom -- that is the most active room.
JASON: Male and female apparitions have been seen numerous times in the former servants' quarters and adjacent hallways.
So, now, Janice, you've had experiences here throughout the years? Well, the first time I ever stayed here, I actually stayed in the MacKenzie Suite, which is the main suite.
I locked all the doors.
The next morning, all the locks were unlocked and open.
Nobody could explain it.
In addition to the main house, the former stables, which are now motel rooms, also have claims.
Mysterious depressions that appear on the beds after they've been made and a shadow figure that lurks outside the rooms have been recorded.
What are you hoping that we're able to accomplish, Janice? Ever since I got engaged earlier this year, I really wanted a simple wedding, and I love this house.
But my mom is deathly afraid that something will happen to me if I decide to get married on a haunted premise.
And what about you, Mike? What are you hoping? I hope that I can find out more of what is here and who is here.
Well, the funny thing is, you want to figure out what's going on, but if we do, her mom won't come to the wedding.
As long as it's nothing evil or ominous, my mom might be okay with that.
Well, we're gonna go talk to the rest of the crew -- start figuring out where to set up the equipment.
Good.
Good luck.
Thank you very much.
Thank you.
Thank you.
So, we just finished talking with Michael and Janice here at the Burn Brae Mansion.
It's an old property, dating back to the early 1900s, when it was first built for the Elkin family.
And there's also a lot of old lore about the property.
STEVE: A gentleman tried to commit suicide in the backyard, and he died in the hospital later.
And either he really, really loved this place and wanted to come back here or the trauma of what he went through is what has kept him here.
Okay, and pan left a little bit.
We're setting up this DVR camera here where people claim to have been awoken by an apparition floating above them while they're in bed.
A little bit more to the right.
And stop.
JASON: We've got both the mansion and the motel to investigate tonight, so we've got Dustin here helping out.
We've also got our friend Kristen Luman joining us.
And we're gonna have to figure out how to handle this one and do it right to help out everybody.
Perfect.
That's all cameras.
Then let's get the lights out.
Sounds good.
STEVE: Here we are.
[ Door closes .]
JASON: Jason and Steve, Burn Brae Mansion.
Is somebody here? It sounded like it was coming from upstairs.
JASON: It definitely came from upstairs.
Who's up there? It was definitely coming from above us.
Charles Elkin? Is that you? DAVE: All right.
This is it.
This is Tango and Kristen behind the old apple tree.
Tango and I went out to investigate an apple tree.
Now, this apple tree is significant because the chauffeur of Margaret and Charles Elkin actually tried to take his own life there.
William? Are you here? If we are speaking to William, why this tree? And are you still attached to it for some reason? William? STEVE: We didn't have to work to hear it.
JASON: No.
Almost immediately after walking into Burn Brae Mansion, we heard footsteps overhead.
After checking out numerous bedrooms and different areas, we still haven't found the source.
Oh, mother of God.
Really? What's in there? Oh, my God.
Ugh.
It's not just clowns.
It's not just dolls.
It's clown dolls.
[ Laughing .]
Oh, man.
That's your worst nightmare.
And what in God's name -- That's so creepy.
Well, what do you say we head up to the attic? Holy cow! That was just weird, man.
30 seconds in the house and already movement upstairs.
Yeah.
It's like the creepiest attic I've ever been in.
I got dolls.
I got clowns.
I don't know what that friggin' sound was, though.
Want me to go down on the first floor and you can walk around up here and then walk around on the second floor to see what floor we might want to focus our attention on? Yeah.
You can try it.
Absolutely.
Okay.
Wow.
Look at that thing.
All right, Jay.
Hey, Steve.
Yo? There was a breath up here.
A breath? Yeah.
JASON: Hey, Steve.
Yo? There was a breath up here.
A breath? Yeah.
Did it happen right here in this area? No, it happened -- I was still up here.
Upstairs.
I had walked right in here.
Damn.
Yeah.
And right when I came in, there was just a [exhales.]
sound.
But there's nothing to explain it.
STEVE: Hello? Is Margaret or Charles Elkin here? When you were walking around, I could hear you on the third floor.
Really? And that sound -- I couldn't tell if it was this floor or this floor.
But it was there.
It was enough for us to think that somebody else was in here with us.
Yeah.
There's a really nice girl named Janice.
You're scaring her family.
She might not be able to get married here because of you.
K.
J.
: Dustin and K.
J.
DUSTIN: Wandering the grounds, looking for the shadow man in the creepy woods.
So, they said they see him walk right through here, right? Yeah, that's the word.
That's the claim.
It just walks right across.
I don't think it's, like, actually somebody cutting through or anything, but at the same time, you're out here in the woods.
There's a lot of shadows and trees and everything.
I don't know if that lends to people thinking they see something.
Definitely.
At the same time, you know, there could be a spirit out here.
Who knows? Maybe it's William.
The guy that shot himself? Yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
William? Can you hear us? DUSTIN: William, if you are the dark figure people see walk through here, are you going about your tasks? Are you just continually checking on the property? We know that you experienced quite a tragedy by your own hand.
What was so terrible in your life at that time? STEVE: Steve and Dave, room 3.
They claim that -- Oh! DAVE: What? Big-ass frog.
Whoa.
I don't like these motels, though.
You don't? You know there's, like, crazy spiders in them.
This used to be the stables before it was converted into a motel.
STEVE: So, supposedly, in this room, people have seen a depression in the bed, almost as if somebody came and sat down.
Already, you can see that there's a natural depression right here.
Yeah.
Right? You can feel it right here.
Let's see something here.
Oh, look at those sheets.
All right.
I don't see anything yet.
Okay, let's make the bed and let it sit.
Right.
And then when we start breaking down or whatever Mm-hmm.
we'll come in here and we'll see -- did a depression form? Let's take a picture.
Right.
Go for a little bit, come back, take another picture.
That's right.
And see if there's any difference.
All right.
So let's make this nice.
Okay.
Actually, let's put the light on.
Okay.
Ready? Okay.
All right.
Okay.
Wait.
What's this? It looks like a depression.
That's there.
It's there, yeah.
And it's the shape of a butt.
It is the shape of a butt.
So, I mean, maybe that's what they're seeing, is just -- And look -- stitch.
That's a stitch right there.
So this was repaired.
Yeah.
This was ripped and repaired, which is making this pinch together, buckling it all, which makes it look like somebody sat down there.
That's what it is.
So I think we disproved it.
I think so, too.
All right, this is gonna be Sammy and Dustin, and we are in the attic of the mansion, where people claim to have heard footsteps, moving objects, and bouncing balls.
I think it's really cool that this stuff is just here.
They moved into the house and there was just these boxes of things.
So, it's always possible that people could just attach themselves to something they once loved.
Yeah.
Yikes.
Let's try finding a ball and use it as a trigger object.
How about one of the ones on the table? Okay.
So, Dustin and I, if you've been listening, we were reading that people hear balls bouncing up here.
Now, I know these aren't bouncy balls but do you think you can move them for me? Could you bounce them? There's a lot of objects up here.
Is there one that perhaps you have a particular attachment to or a fondness of? Are any of the Elkin family members still with us? DAVE: I have to go to the bathroom.
[ Door squeaks .]
Steve, stop messing around with the door.
What are you doing? [ Door squeaks .]
DAVE: Steve, stop messing around with the door.
What are you doing? When I was in the bathroom, I thought you were, like, messing with me.
Likethe door kind of, like, sounded like someone was trying to open it.
Just now? When I was in there, yeah.
Tango and I were investigating in the main house, and we had an experience.
He came over to me and he was like, "Hey, when I was in the bathroom using it, were you trying to get in?" I said, "No.
Of course not.
" DAVE: Had that miniDV going.
STEVE: And do you think it picked it up? Let's see.
Like, if somebody was like -- Yeah.
Yeah.
Let's see if it's on there.
Yeah.
All right.
Let me clean off my seat for you.
Thank you.
Here's your seat back.
I'll find it.
Here it is.
Yeah.
You could hear it? Yep.
[ Door squeaks .]
And are you sure it was coming from that door and not the front door? I mean, I thought you were trying to get in and, like, you were, like -- Now listen to it.
[ Clears throat .]
[ Door squeaks .]
It's like a squeak.
Yeah.
I agree with you.
That's it.
That's it, right? Yeah.
I agree with you.
Let's just make sure it wasn't caused by me just moving around in there.
DAVE: So, I'm walking around.
STEVE: Nothing.
All right, so that's, like, locked in.
I'm gonna do it, like, not fully locked in.
That you? Yep.
Okay.
Nothing.
Liketakes force.
Well, this is tiled floor.
Yeah.
It's not wooden.
Interesting.
That's cool.
I firmly believe that Something moved the door.
something moved the door.
DUSTIN: Is there anybody up here on the second floor? SAMANTHA: I really wanted to get to this hallway right here.
Yeah, I know.
It's interesting because most of the activity on this floor stems off this hallway, like the spirit sitting on the stairs, the spirit floating over the bed.
How about we try to do a little EVP work and then see if we get any activity signaling from one of the rooms? Yeah.
There was a man once who said he saw a woman sitting on those stairs.
Would that be Margaret, the woman who used to own this home? Want to check out the bedroom? Yeah.
I'm gonna leave that there.
Okay.
DUSTIN: This is Sammy and Dustin.
We're in the Yellow Room.
Who's the spirit that people think they see floating over the bed? You know, Sam, we've got the ceiling that's angled here and not angled there.
Then you got this weird pattern.
When you first open your eyes and they haven't adjusted Yeah.
Like, I wonder if that's adding to the effect.
Yeah, like subconsciously making yourself see the apparitions.
Is there a little journal over there? Just curious if there's any entries.
There's a few.
This one's from 2008.
Doors slamming, someone walking in the hallway, and just feeling like they're being laid on while they lay in bed, which somewhat goes along with the apparition floating above the bed.
Yeah, I suppose so.
All right, let's just make our way back through the hallway.
K.
J.
and Kristen on the second floor.
I'm wondering if Margaret Elkin is here with us.
Margaret, you also had several children.
But unfortunately, two of them passed away.
Are you still here playing with the children that you lost? Do we have any kids here? We're gonna move up to the attic, where there's a lot of fun toys.
This is very cool up here.
It's awesome.
So much cool stuff.
So much stuff.
I'm gonna put this right here.
Do you like all the toys up here? Guests of this house heard running up here.
Are you running from something? K.
J.
: We want to know if the people that come here and stay are safe.
There's noises downstairs.
Is that coming from downstairs? Sounded closer.
Sounded like a door.
K.
J.
: We want to know if the people that come here and stay are safe.
There's noises downstairs.
Is that coming from downstairs? Sounded closer.
Sounded like a door.
Let's check it out.
We heard you.
Can you do it one more time so we can know where you are? JASON: Hey, guys.
It's getting late.
Let's get the lights on.
It's time to wrap.
So, we just wrapped the investigation here at Burn Brae Mansion, and it's been a really interesting night.
We've had some great experiences which backed up a lot of the claims here.
I'm excited to see what else has turned up.
And we're gonna do our best to help out Janice and hopefully not terrify her mother.
We were called to Burn Brae Mansion in Glen Spey, New York, to help a bride-to-be get some answers about paranormal claims at her dream-wedding location.
STEVE: All right.
Now it's time to reveal what we've captured to the owner, Mike Fraysse It's good to see you again.
Same here.
and Janice Lai.
Good to see you again.
STEVE: Hi.
Hi.
How are you? While we were investigating, we came in through the front door, and as soon as we walked in, we heard what sounded like somebody, you know, running around upstairs.
And we'll play that for you.
Is somebody here? Hear it upstairs? STEVE: Let's play that again.
It's like somebody stomping around up there.
Tango and I, we were investigating the first floor, and I came back in the house and Tango said, "I was in the bathroom.
Did you try to get in?" And I said, "No.
What are you talking about?" So we'll play this for you.
[ Door squeaks .]
You hear that? Sure.
That's somebody who's trying to get in.
But now also with that, if you listen closely, there's more footsteps.
We'll play it again.
[ Door squeaks .]
He thought it was me.
Oh, yeah.
Something moving around again.
Dave's the only one in the house.
Nobody else is there.
So, mainly, it comes down to -- We had a bunch of the experiences that you guys have had.
I think some of the experiences that makes your mom not want to be here.
But, to be honest with you, we didn't deal with anything that seemed the least bit malicious.
Right.
That's good to know.
Good luck with everything.
Thank you so much.
Thank you very much for your time.
We really appreciate it.
I called out TAPS because I wanted to have my wedding here, but my mother wouldn't fund it if it was in a haunted house.
But now that we have the evidence that shows that spirits here aren't evil or trying to hurt us, I can start finally planning my wedding.
JASON: All righty.
I'm very, very impressed, and I was very excited with the results that we got.
I think that went good, man.
I do, yeah.
My only concern is for Janice.
But if she needs us to discuss with her mom about the things that are going on there, then we'll be glad to.
Good job, brother.
Thank you.
On to the next.
So, man, Norwalk, Connecticut -- Gallaher Mansion.
I think it's gonna be pretty cool.
It's on a piece of property that offers a lot of history.
JASON: The Gallaher Mansion dates back to 1932, when it was owned by a wealthy engineer and his wife.
There's a lot of claims that go on over here, and they're not sure if it's Mr.
Gallaher, who passed away on the property, his wife, who passed away on the property.
STEVE: One thing that's pretty interesting is they've claimed to see a female apparition holding a baby.
And that's something that I don't remember coming across, really, ever.
Let's get over there and find out what's going on.
All right.
TAPS case -- Gallaher Mansion, Norwalk, Connecticut.
Hey.
Mike.
MOCCIAE: Hey.
Hey.
Jason.
It's nice to meet you.
Nice to meet you guys.
Hey, Mike.
Steve.
How are you? Steve, nice to meet you.
I'm Dave.
Dave, nice to meet you.
Mike, this place is beautiful.
Thank you.
What's some of the history here? We are now in the beloved house of Edward Gallaher.
Mr.
Gallaher was an industrialist.
He was involved in inventing the first automobiles.
He was involved in abrasive compounds.
He had a factory here in Norwalk.
And he lived here with Inez, his wife.
The Gallahers built their 21-bedroom mansion in 1932, on the former grounds of the Kensett sanatorium.
Mr.
Gallaher lived here until he died of a massive heart attack in the master bedroom in 1953.
Several years later, his wife, Inez, was involved in a horrific car accident.
Bedridden from her injuries, she passed away in that same bedroom in 1965.
Mr.
Gallaher willed this entire property to his alma mater.
The Gallahers had hoped their home would become a remote campus for engineering students.
However, those plans never materialized.
Mr.
Gallaher's alma mater promptly sold the property to the city of Norwalk.
So, now, what type of paranormal activity seems to be going on here? Apparitions, noises, you know -- That happens quite frequently.
CHIEFFALO: I was walking down the hallway and the basement door was right next to me, and as soon as I walked by it, I just heard a loud pound, like a fist right on the door, and I kind of jumped back.
I get, like, goose bumps when I walk by that door every time now.
JASON: Also in the basement, which is home to the remnants of Mr.
Gallaher's laboratory, shadow figures have been seen and footsteps and metallic sounds heard.
Shadow figures and apparitions have also been seen in the hallways and bedrooms on the second floor.
HARRINGTON: Me and my friend were in that last room.
I looked up and it seemed like a black mass just kind of went across.
Paralyzed me in my tracks.
No idea what it was.
I remember feeling shocked.
JASON: I know that people claim to see a female apparition holding what appears to be a child, at some points, and hearing a lot of voices and things.
In the house itself, there's quite a few different places that the caretakers have noticed things.
Matter of fact, some people that worked here saw an apparition and never came back.
We've dealt with that in the past.
In the living room and adjacent sunroom, visitors report objects that move on their own, mysterious noises, and doors that violently open from some unseen force.
Today, the mansion is used for special events.
I think because the Gallahers were so to themselves, that they're a little upset at me because of all the different things we're trying to create up here at the estate and on the grounds.
So you think they're actually angry at you for trying to keep life going on here? Yeah, that's what I believe.
So, what's your main hope that we're able to accomplish here? Well, the hope is that we can identify, really, what it is that's here -- whether it's the Gallaher family or whether it's somebody from the sanatorium that's still around.
All right, then we're gonna go talk to the crew and start figuring out how to set up tonight.
All right.
Thanks for your time.
Thank you.
Thanks, man.
Thank you, guys.
I appreciate you coming.
So, we just finished talking with Mike about the Gallaher Mansion.
This is a unique case, because Mr.
Gallaher, in his will, wanted the property left to his alma mater, and now it's in the hands of somebody else, which is something he didn't want.
So, of course, if he's here, could he be angry about that? Absolutely.
Hopefully he's willing to communicate with us tonight, which might direct us one way or another.
So, we're just gonna put this camera here covering some of the grounds and the front of the building.
There's been reports of this apparition of a woman walking around out here with a child, so hopefully we can pick it up.
Let's tilt up.
I'm setting up this camera in the basement or the laboratory of the Gallaher Mansion.
Edward Gallaher spent a lot of his time down here.
He had a few hobbies that took place down here -- things like building vehicles.
So we can see if anything's moving around.
How we looking right now? All good.
Thank you.
Hey.
Hey, guys.
All right, so, we all set? Yeah.
Nice job.
Good coverage.
Let's get lights out and start investigating.
SAMANTHA: Sam and Kristen in the Gallaher Mansion.
So, Kristen and I are entering the master bedroom of the Gallaher Mansion.
Both Mr.
and Mrs.
Gallaher died in this room.
Mr.
Gallaher had a heart attack, and Mrs.
Gallaher was in a horrible car accident that left her crippled for many years, and she ended up passing away in this room, as well.
Mr.
Gallaher, I have your will, which states everything you wanted done with your home after you passed.
KRISTEN: Were you extremely disappointed when your wishes were not kept? If you want to tell us how disappointed you are, you can go ahead and do so now.
Kristen has a recorder.
If you talk into that, we'll be able to hear you later.
Mr.
Gallaher? DUSTIN: This is K.
J.
and Dustin.
We are in the basement of the Gallaher Mansion.
We're in the laboratory right now.
So this is where he did all that work on the cars.
I want to use this can of oil as a trigger object.
Nice.
This is actually an original can of the motor oil that Gallaher created.
I want to see where we can set this up somewhere.
That's a good little table for it.
I'll put it here so it doesn't I'm gonna leave the audio up here with it, as well.
And I'm gonna put this EMF detector next to the oil can.
Sounds good.
Try to step back, maybe, and give you a little bit of space.
Mr.
Gallaher, we have a couple of devices.
Maybe you'd be interested in trying to interact with us.
We also brought down a can of your oil that you created.
DUSTIN: Is it one of the Gallahers that's here? Or is it somebody else? All right, so, EMF is going off there now.
Are you still working in your laboratory? Can you change the pitch of that device? That's unreal.
K.
J.
: Are you still working in your laboratory? Can you change the pitch of that device? That's unreal.
Now it's doing something else.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
Now it's a louder-pitched beeping sound.
He just changed the pitch.
Ask and you shall receive, as long as you ask kindly.
Yeah, so, I'm hearing some really weird sounds coming from there right now.
We're just gonna move a little closer, okay? DUSTIN: K.
J.
and I were checking out the basement level of the Gallaher Mansion and decided to ask, you know, "Listen, if you're in there, can you interact with that device?" And as soon as I start to say it, the thing starts to beep.
EMF to me is kind of here nor there, you know? It's an interesting tool, but when you ask for something to happen and it happens, I think that gives it a little more credence, you know? Pretty sweet experience.
Hopefully we get some EVPS to back it up.
Mr.
Gallaher, if that was truly you, we would like you to try to interact with it again.
If you'd like to come forward and try to show yourself or speak to us.
Mr.
Gallaher, is your wife here with you? DAVE: This is Steve and Tango heading into the sunroom.
All right, so, these open on their own.
But look -- I mean, we have all these other doors leading to outside, right? Yep.
Steve and I were investigating in the sunroom and, you know, there's two doors that supposedly open on their own.
And in this sunroom, there's other doors leading to outside.
And we wanted to check out that claim, try to disprove it.
Geez.
All right.
Okay, ready? Yeah.
Let's try this one.
One, two -- Nothing.
Okay.
Now try this one.
The bottom one Okay.
Okay, ready? STEVE: Yep.
One, two -- Oh, yeah.
Yeah, they both just opened right up.
[ Laughing .]
Look at how f-- STEVE: Yep.
Look at that.
That's how it's done.
That's how it's done.
So, 100%, somebody in that room -- It's completely -- I mean, this is disproved 100%.
Good job.
Disproved.
Disproved.
Disproved.
So, right now, Gallaher Mansion is empty.
We don't have anybody inside.
And we're just trying to see if anything goes on with absolutely no human contamination.
Maybe something's gonna turn up on audio or video that we're unaware of at this time, but so far, it's just been really quiet.
Sam and Dave outside of the Gallaher Mansion.
Sam and I, we're walking the grounds of the Gallaher Mansion.
Supposedly they see an apparition of a woman holding a baby.
They see shadows.
We're just gonna look around.
Gonna see what kind of animals are out here.
We got the thermal, and just see if anything might look like an apparition of a woman with a baby.
And while there were never any children in the Gallaher Mansion -- never -- we also need to remember that there used to be a sanatorium behind the house.
Which makes sense that it's outside.
You know, that they're seeing this outside.
Hello? People say they've seen a woman out here holding a baby.
If you're lost, we might be able to help you.
If you can hear us, please come towards us.
If you can make a sound or show yourself, we would appreciate that, and we could help you.
STEVE: This is Jason and Steve.
We're on the second floor of the Gallaher Mansion.
JASON: Mr.
Gallaher, if you're here, we'd like to talk to you.
Mike who works here, who's been maintaining the property, is concerned that you're not happy.
Mike feels like every time he tries to do something to the mansion here, that he upsets you.
He wants you to know that everything he does to this mansion is to help it get back into the same shape it was in when you were here.
If he doesn't keep this place up and keep people coming to it, it's just gonna get torn down.
I gotta say it's kind of a spooky little house.
It's a maze-like setup -- long corridors with, you know, passageways and all this stuff.
All right, so, this is the room, I think, where they both passed away.
Mrs.
Gallaher do you remember the car accident? Shh.
Hear that? STEVE: Mrs.
Gallaher do you remember the car accident? JASON: Shh.
Hear that? Sounded like music.
Sounded like it was in the distance.
This window right here's open, and it's right where the van is.
I closed this window now, Jay.
All right.
And it made a remarkable difference.
Mr.
Gallaher? DUSTIN: All right, this is Dustin and Kristen.
We are outside, behind the home.
KRISTEN: It's always difficult, you know, investigating out in the environment, because every tree, every shrub sort of looks like Oh, yeah.
could be a person.
The shadows are constantly changing and you think you see light here or there.
It's tough.
All right.
If you just place the, uh -- If you want to place the recorder down, we don't have to worry about that for a little while.
If there is any spirit with any type of intelligence or ability to interact with us, we would love for you to come forward and please do so.
KRISTEN: Are you a member of the Gallaher family? Or perhaps you worked for them? What keeps you wandering out here? When the asylum building was here, were you a patient? Who's out here with us tonight? STEVE: The team has definitely hit this place hard.
Think we should call it a night? Yeah.
Hey, guys.
Let's get the lights on.
It's time to wrap.
JASON: So, we just wrapped the investigation here at Gallaher Mansion, and it's been a relatively quiet night.
We're hoping that some of these claims that Mike and many others here have experienced show up on our video or audio that we were just unaware of at the time, but only time will tell.
Having Kristen out here I think has been a wonderful experience.
She seems like a really down-to-earth person, a good investigator.
But, you know, it's a late night.
I just want to get back, and tomorrow, I'll start analyzing.
TAPS was called to the Gallaher Mansion in Norwalk, Connecticut, to investigate disturbing paranormal claims.
Hey, Mike.
How you been, man? Sam and I are now going to share our findings with our client Mike Mocciae.
Well, you know what we did.
We came in, you told us about a lot of the claims that many people have experienced.
I know one of the big claims here that you guys have been dealing with are these doors opening and closing.
A couple of our investigators, Steve and Tango, were in the sunroom and discovered that by opening one of the doors that leads outside, it made the two doors over there open up on them.
DAVE: Okay, ready? STEVE: Yep.
Oh, yeah.
So this would lead us to believe that the claim of the doors opening on their own is not paranormal.
At one point, we were up on the second floor -- Steve and I -- and we're investigating in that master bedroom, and it sounded like old-time music.
It was so light that it didn't show up on our recorders, but I heard it.
So we tried to look for the source of it -- couldn't find anything.
No explanation for it.
But the only place I heard it was while we were in that master bedroom.
Master bedroom.
I know your main concern was if there is anything here and is it angry with you, but we didn't pick up anything that seemed malicious or anything at the time.
I'm hoping that this means that Edward and Inez Gallaher are a little accepting of what we're doing.
You got to remember, if they are here, they were very closed people.
They minded their own and everything.
And now all of a sudden, you guys do have these parties here and so forth to keep the place alive.
So, of course, there might be a little pushback.
But I would love to get back here at some point and check it out again and see if we're able to document anything and see what's going on.
That would be great.
That would be great.
But you need anything, give us a shout, all right? Very good.
Thank you very much.
Thank you.
Thanks so much.
All right.
We'll get out of here, Mike.
MOCCIAE: Even though the team didn't find a lot of evidence, I feel a little better.
I still believe Mr.
and Mrs.
Gallaher are here in spirit, and they want to coexist with us.
I think that went well.
I think so.
The main thing is it was so quiet that night that we were investigating, and we can't force the activity to happen.
He wanted to know that Mr.
Gallaher was happy, that him and Inez, you know, were okay with the hands that the building fell into.
I think, in a sense, we gave him exactly what he wanted.
Well, Good job, kiddo.
On to the next.
