It's not that I'm cocky, but Hell's Kitchen is gonna be a piece of cake.

Last night, we made a lot of basic mistakes.
That got me thinking.
This morning, we're going back to basics.
For this team challenge, we're gonna be working in pairs.

The challenge this morning is for each pair to prepare four different egg dishes.
Poached, soft-boiled, sunny-side up, - and scrambled.
(all) Yes, Chef.
It seems like a pretty easy challenge.
I'm pretty well-versed in processes of how to cook eggs.
I'm kind of self-described as being a badass in the kitchen.
You'll be working in pairs, yeah? Ladies, because you're one person short - Siobhan.
- Yes, Chef.
- You're on your own today.
- Yes, Chef.
I'm a little nervous about being on my own, but I'm gonna kick butt whether I'm by myself or with other people.
You've got five minutes, starting from now! Off you go! Get one pot down to simmer.
Siobhan, work with me and Fran.
No problem, no problem.
(announcer) Chef Ramsay has added this back to basics challenge to demonstrate the importance of timing and communication in the kitchen.

eggs, guys.
(announcer) Each two-person team must work together to cook four egg dishes in just five minutes.
Except for Siobhan, who is supposed to cook all four eggs by herself.
Siobhan, I got your sunny-side up.
And you do scrambled.
We have have five minutes to make these eggs, and I thought immediately, you know what, Siobhan's got all this to do herself.
I can make her sunny-side up eggs.
You want me to just do poached? Poach it.
(Gordon) Ladies, one minute gone.
(announcer) While Siobhan is focusing on just poached eggs, in the blue kitchen, Scott seems to be focusing more on Salvatore's eggs than his own.
Sally, move 'em the whole time.

(Gordon) Ninety seconds left, guys.
- Yeah? - Mike.
What do you think? Yeah.
Yeah.
Pull that egg out.
Salvatore was doing good with the scrambled eggs.
(Gordon) Last minute, guys.
- How are you guys? - No, it's gotta cook more, man.
- I thought it was cooked.

So a soft-boiled egg.
That - is perfect.

How long did you boil it for? I I just cook them every day, Chef, so I kind of have a very good grasp for how long they're cooked for.

I asked you to work on your own.
