9 Chefs Compete

(Male announcer) Previously on Hell's Kitchen Go, go, go.
(Announcer) The presentation challenge featured a prize for the best dish on the winning team.
The winner will be featured in People Magazine.
(All) Wow.
(Gordon) Beautiful.
Well done.
(Announcer) Jon's dish was the most impressive You had the highest scoring dish.
(Announcer) But he was unable to claim the prize because his teammates let him down Like something out of a Sci-Fi movie, that.
(Announcer) Once again.
The winning team is the red team.
Mary, well done.
[Cheers and applause.]
Guys, I could've been in [bleep.]
People Magazine.
This is, like, the third time I've had the best dish up there.
(Announcer) Later, a night off was abruptly cancelled [Phone ringing.]
Hello? I need everybody in my office.
(Announcer) As chef Ramsay opened Hell's Kitchen for a private V.
I.
P.
event.
I will be opening the doors for the U.
S.
army.
(Announcer) With the pressure on, Jon rose to the occasion.
Jon, good job.
Let's go.
Go, please.
(Announcer) But Ray Half a portion on there, full portion on there.
(Announcer) Failed to take control.
Ray, half a portion, full portion! (Announcer) And Zach made Ray's problems even worse (Zach) I'm trying to sabotage him with cold sauce.
[Chuckles.]
(Announcer) But it completely backfired.
It's cold! [Bleep.]
! When are you two gonna wake up? (Announcer) In the red kitchen, Susan struggled with her meat.
(Cyndi) They're raw.
I need more time on my steaks.
We're ready in a minute and a half.
(Gordon) Susan, you're a disgrace.
(Announcer) And Nedra's poor judgment Did you just pour cool water into a pot for pasta? (Announcer) Brought the kitchen to a halt.
Ladies.
(All) Yes, chef.
The water's not boiling.
We all feel like idiots.
(Announcer) In the end The losing team tonight is the blue and the red.
(Announcer) Each team had to put up one chef for elimination.
Nedra.
(Announcer) And Ray.
(Announcer) Were nominated.
But chef Ramsay added one more.
Zach, step forward.
(Announcer) Nedra dodged a bullet.
Back in line.
(Announcer) And Ray watched his chance to become head chef of Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill at Caesars Palace go up in flames.
[Ohio Players' Fire.]
Fire Whoa! The way you swerve and curve really wrecks my nerves and I'm so excited, child Go, Jon! When you shake what you've got and, girl, you've got a lot you're really something, child [Roars.]
When you're hot, you're hot you really shoot your shot you're dynamite, child yeah well, I can tell by your game you're gonna start a flame of love, baby, baby the way you push, push lets me know that Hey, hey! You're good you're gonna get your wish oh, no fire what I said, child oww, fire uh-huh got me burnin', got me burnin' (Announcer) And now, the continuation of Hell's Kitchen.
Get out.
I'm really sad to see Ray go.
He's been a great competitor, but sometimes less is more.
We're gonna be okay.
We okay? I don't hold it against you if you don't hold it against me.
[Bleep.]
.
I don't got time for these bitches and they [bleep.]
.
Seriously, the reality is we all could've done better tonight.
You know what I mean? Yeah.
Like, it is what it is.
I hope Nedra's not, like, holding this against us.
We need to be able to start over tomorrow on a clean slate, so I'm gonna let her know how I feel.
We need to continue to work together as a team.
Are we still friends? Do you need some time to think about it? Nedra and I did form a friendship very quickly in the house.
We were very close in the beginning.
We bonded.
We had fun together.
It has helped me during some of the rough times, but I'm here to win, and I do not wanna be associated with anyone that's failing.
That was not [bleep.]
fair.
The way that decision came about? Yeah.
That's what the [bleep.]
I meant.
Like, really? Can't believe that bitch put me up for elimination.
That's how I feel.
You're allowed to have your feelings, absolutely.
Thank you.
Susie, Susie, Susie.
I thought she was gonna be my best friend.
Good to see you back, man.
Thank you.
Yeah, absolutely.
And you know what? There's only four of us.
We should be at an advantage.
We need to be [bleep.]
, like, ferocious animals in that kitchen.
I wanna see all of us in black jackets.
That's what I'm saying, dude.
I'm ready to bang it the [bleep.]
out.
I've been up for elimination the last two dinner services.
That was a wake-up call, for sure.
Let me remember who the [bleep.]
I am and get back on the right track.
I just wanna redeem myself and get back where I need to be.
Then do it.
Absolutely.
When I get beat down, I bring out my alter ego Grant Banks.
And he's a fighter beyond a doubt.
I mean, he's a [bleep.]
animal.
We keep him in cages, but we gonna let him loose.
[Chuckles.]
Here I am.
Chef Banks is in the building.
(Announcer) After an exhausting day, the final nine chefs, plus one alter ego, settle in for a little sleep.
And that's exactly what they get.
[Air horn blowing, pan clanking.]
(Woman) Wake up, get up, get up.
Wake up, get up, get up.
Oh, my God.
Go.
Get downstairs right away.
Chef needs you.
Go, go, go.
I'm up.
I'm getting ready.
I just wanna make sure I have pants on.
Lord only knows what chef Ramsay has in store for us today.
Let's go, ladies.
Early bird catches the worm, right? Good morning.
(All) Good morning, chef.
We have a lot of work to do today, so I wanted all of you to have a very early start.
Running one of my kitchens is certainly not about just executing dishes, right? (All) Yes, chef.
I want someone who can create as well.
So tonight, Hell's Kitchen will feature menus designed and executed by all of you.
It's such a compliment from chef that he trusts us enough to serve the diners our menu and not his.
Here's how it's gonna work.
Each team are gonna come up with four stunning appetizers, four stunning entrees, and two delicious desserts that you think are worthy of serving inside Hell's Kitchen.
(All) Yes, chef.
(Gordon) Let's go.
Let's go, ladies.
Nedra.
Yes, chef? I wanna see you on the menu.
Yes, chef.
Chef told me he wants to see me on the menu.
Now I just gotta come up with something good.
We can do an oyster trio and just a do a tour of the mediterranean.
Yeah.
Um, chicken dish? Simple, seasonal, sweet potato puree.
Zach, what do you think? (Michael) Zach, wanna do at least one salad? Nicoise? [Yawns.]
Grant Banks is not a morning person at all.
So there's two [bleep.]
ideas, dude.
And we've got what, like, 40 minutes left? I feel like there's a lot of ideas being thrown around, and Zach's not saying anything.
How about a, like, a beet salad, maybe a little frisee? (Michael) Yeah.
(Announcer) While the blue team wishes Zach would wake up, the red team I think we should do a citrus salmon.
No, I don't like that.
We can have a dynamite sea bass.
(Announcer) Wishes Nedra would quiet down.
Cream cheese base, sour cream.
No.
Wanna do scallops risotto as an app? (Nedra) I got a scallop dish soy ginger scallops with yellow peppers, red bell peppers, poblanos, all kind of peppers.
It's really good.
That doesn't, like, scream at me, like Yum.
Yeah.
Yeah, I don't see that coming together, really.
Chef wants me to stand out.
And if they don't like it, they can kiss my whole hoo-ha.
We can do just a fresh chopped salad, something simple.
Oh, my God.
Nedra's ideas, they're all kind of all over the place.
This is an absolute disaster.
You could get that at a diner, you know? Like, anywhere.
Like, [bleep.]
y'all.
All y'all bitches is fake.
(Announcer) Tonight it's the red versus blue menu dinner service, and chef Ramsay has challenged both teams to come up with creative, delicious dish ideas.
But so far, all of Nedra's suggestions We can just a fresh chopped salad.
(Announcer) Have been rejected by her teammates.
You could get that at a diner, you know? Like, anywhere.
Like, [bleep.]
y'all.
All y'all bitches is fake.
I'm frustrated, but I fought to be here.
I'ma fight this thing.
Like, I need to get one of my dishes going on the menu.
So I'm not gonna stop fighting until chef says, "You're out of Hell's Kitchen.
" Does anyone have an idea? I wanna do a gumbo.
A soup? Yeah.
[Sighs.]
Oh, gumbo.
So what, are we just gonna do shrimp, chorizo, and chicken? I don't know.
It sounds like a Nedra dish overindulgent.
I really don't think that it makes sense.
I probably used a cornish hen.
You wanna use a cornish hen in the gumbo? Yeah? (Cyndi) I just don't see that in a gumbo.
I definitely think the team just kind of let Nedra take this one after last night.
But if we don't have a good menu, we are definitely screwed.
(Nedra) I don't care what everybody else say.
I'ma show 'em how you can make gumbo sexy.
What if we did a warm pear pancetta? We have peaches.
We can do, like, a grilled peach salad.
It would be really good.
Grilled peach salad sounds good.
And endive.
Add a cheese feta would be good.
These bitches ain't thinking clear.
They wanna do all this [bleep.]
? Cool.
I don't give a hell.
We'll just see what chef likes.
Ladies, do we feel okay with our menu? (Mary) Yeah.
(Susan) Yes.
This menu's gonna be awesome.
(Announcer) While Nedra manages to get her gumbo on the menu, on the blue team What kind of fish do you guys wanna use? (Zach) I like salmon, myself.
(Announcer) Zach has managed to find the energy to finally contribute.
Like, a thyme-citrus emulsion.
Like, "Hey, morning, Zach.
"Welcome to the conversation, man.
It's about [bleep.]
time.
Now bring that [bleep.]
.
" (Zach) What about steak? He loves [bleep.]
filets and how simple you can go with that.
Just go simple filet.
I'm just thinking some portobello mushrooms and blue cheese butter sauce granelled on top.
And then that way, while that steak is [bleep.]
piping hot, that blue cheese will start melting into it.
And that flavor ahh.
Yeah, there you go, blue cheese gets hot.
I like that a lot, cool.
All right.
So everybody happy with our [bleep.]
? Yeah.
We got the basis of what the [bleep.]
going on.
The majority of the menu is mine the pork, the filet, and the salmon.
It's all my babies, all my creations.
Chef Banks is the blueprint for success.
(Announcer) Now that both teams have finalized their menus, they must prep their kitchens and prepare their dishes for chef Ramsay's approval.
Chef Mike, let's do the brussels sprouts.
All right.
I wanna get that seasoned and start that going.
Zach is back, definitely.
Damn, it's coming back to me now, guys.
Y'all see the shift, the change of the guards.
Let's do it.
[Bell dings.]
Got my brussels sprouts done.
Chef Mike, what are you doing with the hicavera? You know, I just wanna make sure it's spot-on.
Zach is trying to help, but he's really just cocky, overconfident, egotistical.
I can understand what he's trying to do, but he's not doing it well.
Guys, come on.
Those are my babies, and I want them to be nice.
(Jon) All right, we get it.
Zach, dude, come on, you had a good idea for a dish.
But, dude, like, get over it, man.
Jon, I know you know it, but since it's my dish, the salmon filet, you know, I'll show you how Can you get scallops on, please? Heard that.
Already on it.
Thank you.
Scallops, come on, let's go.
(Susan) Okay, we all know what we're doing, right? Yes, ma'am.
It's definitely time to put the pedal to the metal.
I do not wanna come up short.
These are some big New York strips.
You know, a lot of us are doing multiple things, but Nedra's really stuck on one thing.
Is that gumbo almost in the pot? I'm getting there.
How long is that soup gonna need to go? You can teach a monkey how to tie a shoe, but you can't teach a monkey how to make a shoe.
Y-you know what I'm saying? All right, ladies, we're in high gear, right? (Ja'nel) Yes.
(Mary) Yes, ma'am.
(Announcer) After more than five hours of tasting, testing, and cooking Oh! (Announcer) The teams have just 30 minutes left to finish and plate their dishes for chef Ramsay's inspection.
Yeah, we gotta push hard.
We have literally, like, no [bleep.]
time.
I'm gonna get the duck on right now.
Who the [bleep.]
turned this off? Working on branzini right now.
Push, push, push.
Aah! Right now it's chaos.
We're trying to get every dish plated, so we can show chef Ramsay.
Fudge! And it sucks to have five people but only four people working.
Ladies, everything needs to be plated.
I've been working hard on my gumbo all day, and hopefully chef will like it.
This better be the best gumbo that chef Ramsay has ever eaten if it's gonna take all of the prep time.
I'm so excited to see what you've got.
Aah! (Jon) Dude, quick.
Like, now.
You ready on the scallops? Yeah, I've been ready.
Well, say something, man.
I did say something.
Dude, calm down.
Chef Banks is definitely running the kitchen.
Don't worry about it.
Come on, guys.
Yes, chef.
Let's go.
Come on.
Ladies, how does this look? Beautiful.
Whew.
This is our prime opportunity to really show chef Ramsay that we're not perpetual losers.
What message are we sending out to customers walking through those doors tonight? Vegas, absolutely.
Vegas? Like, oh, yeah, we totally had that theme the whole [bleep.]
time.
First of all, I like the idea of the theme.
I love it.
Whose idea was that? All of us.
Combination of efforts, chef.
Okay, good.
Dude, just run with it, man.
He likes it, run with it.
Visually, it looks really appetizing, let me tell you.
Thank you, chef.
Let's see if it tastes as good as it looks.
Calamari.
Yes, chef.
What's the sauce? Uh, it's a chipotle cream, chef.
[Mumbles prayer.]
Come on, please.
(Gordon) Slightly smoked paprika in there? Yes, yep, a little bit of smoked paprika.
Nice.
I mean, it's it's simple.
It's a great dish seasoning, batter, nice and crispy, right? Thank you, chef.
Thank [bleep.]
God, dude.
Whose idea was the fire and ice? (Anthony) That was me and Michael.
Mm-hmm.
We want the flavors to just pop.
Now that is absolutely delicious.
Thank you, chef.
Good job, guys.
That is [bleep.]
awesome.
The salmon nice.
Really good.
Thank you.
You know, wasn't expecting that, but I'll take it.
This is a filet with a butter sauce on top, chef.
It's delicious.
Blue team really, the blue team, are you sure? Overall, a great start.
Love the personalities coming out.
My big question is, can you execute that? Yes, chef.
Absolutely.
Yes? (All) Yes, chef.
Let's go.
Yeah, [bleep.]
.
Take that [bleep.]
, red team.
All right, ladies, ready? (All) Yes, chef.
(Susan) Oh, my gosh.
I'm sweating like I've never sweat before.
There's the four appetizers.
If he doesn't like these, we're [bleep.]
.
What's the first thing, instantly, that's wrong with those appetizers? The gumbo, chef.
Like, really? No.
Four appetizers two of them are salads, both of them with cheese.
What are you thinking? Wow.
Gumbo, that tastes nice, but what'd you do to the peaches? Just grilled.
Once again, Ja'nel has all these wonderful ideas, but can she execute 'em? No.
You have glasses, right? Yes.
So that's grilled, and that's what? It's not.
No, it's not.
Nowhere near it, Ja'nel.
Oh, my God.
Like, I wanna jump in the garbage can, right where he wants to throw this plate.
Is that the best you can do? (All) No, chef.
That looks terrible.
Next? Chef, this is a seared duck breast.
What's the one big problem with that dish? Duck's not even cooked properly.
Chef Ramsay's just like, "No.
" How the [bleep.]
can you eat that [bleep.]
? "No.
" Too much juice on top.
Next? "No.
" It's all the same color! "This is not going on.
Change it, fix it.
Something's gotta give.
" Come on! This menu is supposed to be a winning menu.
Your dishes are supposed to knock the crap out of the blue team.
Ugh! You have got some work to do.
I swear to God.
We're opening How are we ever going to get things fixed? Six hours and we put that together.
I'm pissed off.
[Bleep.]
.
(Announcer) For tonight's dinner service, chef Ramsay has challenged the teams to create their own menus.
Great start.
Love the personalities coming out.
(Announcer) And while the men have delivered something special Visually, it looks really appetizing, let me tell you.
(Announcer) The women have delivered something else.
That is hideous.
Is that the best you can do? (All) No, chef.
Come on, ladies! (Announcer) And with just the women must scramble whip their menu into shape.
I'm just I'm pissed off.
Have a meeting, rapidly.
Get to work.
We're under this heat lamp, up to the wire, trying to revamp everything and get it right just before service starts.
So we're four minutes to the window now.
Chef Ramsay, please just give us the thumbs up on these dishes.
We have no time.
We can't keep fixing them.
Please just just give us the thumbs up.
Very nice.
(Cyndi) Thank yok you, chef.
Very nice, indeed.
Whew.
I'm super relieved.
I can't even believe it.
Over the moon.
Line up, guys.
Let's go.
Gents, line up, please.
[Exhales.]
Tonight is your showcase.
Your creations, so there's absolutely no excuse for you not to deliver an amazing dinner service.
Got it? (All) Yes, chef.
Excited? (All) Yes, chef.
Let's go, guys.
Yes? Uh, Jean-Philippe? Chef? Open Hell's Kitchen, please.
Let's go.
Mary, how you doing? I'm good.
Good service tonight? Absolutely.
That's what I like to hear.
(Announcer) Tonight in Hell's Kitchen, it's the battle of the menus.
The red kitchen's menu features grilled New York strip, roasted duck breast, and branzino.
The blue team's menu includes pan-seared halibut, grilled pork chop, and an oven-roasted filet.
Since diners at the same table can order from either menu Sir? I'm going blue.
I'm gonna go with the red.
(Announcer) Both kitchens will have to coordinate to ensure that all diners at each of the tables receive their food at the same time.
On order for the red team two risotto, two scallops.
(All) Yes, chef.
Five minutes to the window.
(All) Yes, chef.
(Announcer) With Ja'nel and Nedra on appetizers and Cyndi on fish, the red team hopes to rebound with their new and improved menu.
Let's go, girls.
Considering that chef tore our menu apart, we absolutely must have a great dinner service tonight.
(Gordon) Let's go.
Two scallops should be out now.
(Nedra) Three minutes, chef.
Oh, Nedra.
[Bleep.]
hell.
(Announcer) While Nedra's off to a slow start on scallops, over in the blue kitchen Two scallops, two beet salad.
Let's go.
Ten seconds.
Ten seconds on the scallops.
This service is gonna be our service.
This is our own menu.
I'm walking.
(Anthony) Walking with two scallops.
After that, the two beets.
Two beets coming right up.
Heard that.
(Gordon) Go.
Good job, guys.
Wow, did that just really happen that easily? That's how it should be.
What the [bleep.]
has been going on? Did we finally figure it out? Let's just keep it going, man.
Do you like it? (Announcer) Thanks to Jon and Michael We're good.
Keep keep rolling.
(Announcer) The men charge ahead on appetizers.
Meanwhile, back in the red kitchen Walking risotto.
(Announcer) The first appetizer order is ready, except for one item.
Give me those scallops, Nedra.
Right behind you, chef.
Scallops.
Straight after risotto, gumbo, two scallops.
Yes, chef.
They should be in the pan.
Yes, chef.
(Gordon) Cyndi's not doing anything.
Nedra's busy.
Cyndi's staring.
Do you want me to season them? Cyndi and Nedra, why is this even going on? We need to get this done.
Get it out now.
Nedra, tell her what you need.
Tell her what you need.
Thank you.
Why can't she Hey! Open up.
Yes, chef.
Why can't she talk? I don't know.
I can do this stuff over here.
You got it? Two scallops, I got it.
I'm trying to cook my dish, so I ain't worried about what Susie doing.
I ain't worried about what Ja'nel doing.
And I damn for sure ain't worried about what Mary and Cyn doing.
I'ma focus on me.
Thank you.
Come on, you two.
Come on, ladies.
Pick it up.
Pick it up.
Nice sear on the scallops.
Let's go, ladies.
Yes, chef.
Whoo! Service, please.
(Announcer) The red team's appetizers are now steadily moving out to the dining room.
Amazing.
And the blue came out before the red.
[Chuckles.]
We're winning so far.
We're firing apps brilliantly.
I'm now gonna start firing entrees.
Heard that, chef.
Okay? First table away.
Don't fall behind.
Absolutely, chef.
(All) Yes, chef.
Red team, away now one New York strip, one branzino.
They go with the blue team at the exact same time, yes? (All) Yes, chef.
(Gordon) Zach, one pork, one filet.
I'm ready now.
One minute.
(Gordon) Hey, come here, you [bleep.]
face.
This is where he doesn't understand Jack [bleep.]
.
"I'm ready now.
One minute.
" And yet the red team need a bit of [bleep.]
time.
I wouldn't let them do that to you! Okay.
So why are you doing that to them? Uh, chef three minutes? What do you think? We start off with what? Five.
Thank you.
Unbelievable.
Let me just keep my mouth shut.
Yes, chef! Is that clear now? Yes, that's very clear! I appreciate that.
Thank you, chef.
That's why I called you [bleep.]
face Not a problem.
'Cause you're [bleep.]
them and you're [bleep.]
me.
I don't wanna [bleep.]
anybody.
Thank you! Thank you! Did I just have a conversation with chef Ramsay about [bleep.]
? Yes, I did.
(Announcer) While Zach finds humor in his exchange with chef Ramsay, the red team (Gordon) They like both menus so far, guys.
Keep it going, yes? (All) Yes, chef.
How long do you need, Cyndi? (Announcer) Is all business when it comes to completing their first order of entrees.
Gonna need four or five minutes.
Why is the fish not in? (Cyndi) It's coming, chef, just Why is it not in? Getting it hot, chef.
Come on, Cyndi, please.
Yes, chef.
Of course, right when a fish gets fired, I've got no hot pans.
Why you haven't got that fish in there, I don't know.
I don't know.
Yes, chef.
(Gordon) We've got to go, Cyndi! Yes, chef.
Half the table is cooked by the blue team, yes? So I'm dragging my team, and it's killing me right now.
(Susan) Come on, Cyndi, let's go.
Got it, chef.
Push her then.
Could someone help? She's not talking to me.
I'm coming right now.
Watch behind.
I got one.
Thank you, then.
I just wanna know.
Give me one second on that salmon, chef.
Thank you.
The [bleep.]
fish is raw.
Oh, Cyndi, the fish is raw.
(Gordon) Raw.
Come on, Cyndi.
Back in the pan.
Getting it back in the pan, chef.
It's raw! Pass it down, pass it down.
Get it back in, get it back in.
[Bleep.]
.
I freaking I-I knew it.
I'm an [bleep.]
.
I can't believe I sent it up, and I knew it in my gut.
Guys, I'm sorry.
I [bleep.]
been cooking on this all day today.
It's all right, Cyndi.
Just fight back, girl.
(Announcer) With the red kitchen grinding to a halt waiting for Cyndi's branzino, back in the blue kitchen How long for the pork? I'm ready to go right now.
Thank you.
(Announcer) The pressure is on Zach at the meat station to maintain the men's edge with his first order of pork chops.
Zach? Zach! Yes, chef? Come here.
That is beautifully cooked.
Thank you, chef.
That a boy.
I'm not really used to compliments from chef Ramsay.
So to be honest, I thought maybe I was hearing [bleep.]
.
Hey, red team, all of you, come here.
That is the blue team cooked to perfection, ready to go.
How long? we're not even plating.
I am so embarrassed.
Zach bothers me a lot.
And so for his dishes to, like, rock chef Ramsay's socks off really is, like, a hard pill to swallow.
Look at that.
And you think I'm keeping that behind? Go, please.
Come back, let's go.
Branzino, Cyndi! I'm coming right now.
(Gordon) Is it still raw? Okay? Yeah.
(Gordon) Good.
Service, please.
I'm getting it back.
(Announcer) With Cyndi's branzino finally meeting chef Ramsay's standards, the red team is back on track.
Keep pushing, keep pushing.
(Announcer) But over in the blue kitchen, chef Ramsay has another question for Zach.
Where's the beef? Come on, Zach! Talk to me, Zach! Chef, walking it to the window.
I'm on it.
Not a problem.
Chef Banks is in the building.
I'm gonna keep it flowing.
I don't want no gaps.
Chef Banks is back.
And I do the damn thing, from the beginning to the [bleep.]
end.
So don't play me.
Where's the beef sauce? Sauce? The sauce, you have it, chef.
He brings me the [bleep.]
beef.
Come on.
He said, "You got it, you got it.
" Zach, this is your plate.
You did not tell me it had sauce on it.
(Gordon) Bring the beef, bring the [bleep.]
sauce.
But he'll make me scream till the end of service.
You'll say, "Hey, why is he so upset?" 'Cause it hasn't registered yet.
There you go.
What the [bleep.]
? Like, I gotta watch everything chef Anthony does, because apparently, you don't know what the [bleep.]
you're doing.
Hey, all of you.
Chef? All of you, just come here.
Hurry up! Just touch that.
No, no, no just touch it first! Oh, my yeah.
(Anthony) Got it going.
Hey, Anthony.
[Bleep.]
.
Chef? He can't tell you the sauce.
You can't [bleep.]
boil it for me.
And it's stone-cold.
Oh, my God.
Are you kidding me? We were ahead.
What the [bleep.]
happened? I'm dying on a filet.
Wake the [bleep.]
up.
All right.
Hey, at this [bleep.]
level of the game, I don't expect cold sauce! (Announcer) It's one hour into the red versus blue menu dinner service.
Oh, my God.
That's so good.
(Announcer) And after a successful start All of you, come here.
Just touch that.
(Announcer) The blue team has been slowed down by Cold sauce! When you bring your filet, why isn't your sauce in your mind? Because, chef, it's over here.
I'm thinking it's going then get the sauce and do it yourself! Anthony, how do you forget to heat up sauce? I'm not putting all my sweat, all my hard work, all my ideas onto a plate for you to [bleep.]
it up with cold sauce.
Come on, guys, come on.
Zach, are you kidding me, bro? You didn't even have the sauce warm? I got it, I got it.
[Bleep.]
in that pan, man.
Here, give me a little bit.
How hard is that? This is some basic [bleep.]
right now.
It's really pedestrian, and it's I'm starting to get really frustrated.
Chef Anthony, give me the sauce.
That's all gonna stay.
That's all gonna warm.
I'll do the [bleep.]
sauce from now on.
I'm gonna keep some 'cause I need it for the potatoes, but you got the rest.
All right.
Right behind you.
Chef, right behind you.
Go, please.
Blue team, away now, after that, two more filet.
(All) Yes, chef.
(Announcer) While Zach takes control of his sauce, back in the red kitchen Fries, Susan.
Mushrooms, Susan.
Coming, chef.
Yep, so is Christmas.
Let's go.
(Announcer) The pressure is on Susan to keep up on the garnish station.
Don't stall all this [bleep.]
.
I thought they were supposed to be sauteed mushrooms.
What'd she put in there? I don't know.
They're supposed to be sauteed.
Just full of piss.
I'm sorry, chef.
Oh, [bleep.]
off, Susan.
I [Bleep.]
off.
Sauteed, yes? Yes, chef.
(Mary) Susan's really struggling with garnish tonight.
I'm not gonna let Susan hold up the entire table.
There's no reason I can't help her out a little bit while I'm searing off my meats.
Hey, you're gonna put the oil in the pan.
That's what I did.
You're gonna put your veg in there.
Yes, that's what I did.
Season salt and pepper.
I am not learning anything new from Mary that I didn't already know.
I'm just gonna listen for appeasement, but I'm not an idiot.
I know how to glaze a frickin' vegetable.
(Mary) That's how you do it with all of 'em.
Are they seasoned, your mushrooms? Yeah, they're seasoned.
Potatoes are out.
Mushrooms are ready.
(Gordon) Straight after, away two New York strip.
Five minutes to the window.
Yes, chef.
Five minutes, heard.
I can slice on the New York? Yes.
Yes, I'm walking right now.
(Both) Heard.
Finally, we're working together, we're communicating, and we're gonna keep pushing.
Go.
Does anybody need anything? You need help, Susan? You can drop eight potatoes.
I'll do it.
I'll do it.
I'll do it.
(Announcer) The red team pulls together to get their next table of entrees out.
Thank you.
(Ja'nel) You're welcome.
(Announcer) Now all that's left to complete the order is the blue team's Two filet.
Yes, chef.
I'm ready.
Two minutes.
Hurry up.
Let's go.
(Anthony) I mean, come on, Zach.
You're supposed to be ready.
Like, what's the deal? You started brilliantly, but you've just gone to sleep! (Zach) No, chef, no sleeping.
Two filet.
[Bleep.]
.
Yes, chef.
He got it.
He's nailed it.
Go.
Two halibut, five minutes to the window.
Heard that, chef.
Heard.
(Announcer) While the pressure shifts to Michael on the fish station Let's go, come on.
(Announcer) In the red kitchen What you need, Mary? I'm good, I'm good.
What you need, Cyn? Nothing.
Do you want me to wash your shroomies? I got it.
I got this.
(Susan) We got this, ladies.
Let's keep talking.
(Announcer) The women are clearly gelling as a team Go, go.
(Announcer) As they continue to send entrees out to the dining room at a steady pace.
New York strip.
Coming, chef.
Let's go, girls.
Mary? Yes, chef? New York strip is cooked beautifully.
Thank you, chef.
It feels nice to be complimented by chef Ramsay.
But more importantly, I'm just happy that nothing's coming back.
It means we're doing a good job.
Go.
Hey, blue team.
Yes, chef? (Gordon) I've sent the red team's.
Go, please.
Go.
(Announcer) While the red kitchen entree machine keeps humming along, over in the blue kitchen Two halibut, how long? Two minutes out, chef.
(Gordon) Hurry up, let's go.
(Announcer) Chef Ramsay is hoping Michael can keep up on the fish station.
Look, red team's ready.
Red team is ready! Going up with the garnish for two halibut.
(Gordon) Two halibut.
In my hand.
Fish is one of my most favorite things to cook.
And, you know, it's gonna go out crispy, cooked to perfection.
Here's your two halibuts.
You know, I'm ready to be on any station at this point.
Hey.
Yeah? Raw halibut in the center.
No! Yes, yes! [Bleep.]
.
[Bleep.]
.
Raw halibut Chef Mike is doing a new age Sushi style to where it's raw in the middle, but the outside is cooked.
Oh, my God.
Guys, I'm sorry.
Come on, Mike, you gotta fix it.
[Bleep.]
[bleep.]
.
Just fix it, Mike.
Fix it, baby.
Can someone get his head out of the sand? Come on, chef Mike, fix it.
Yes, chef.
I got it, I got it.
Michael! Chef? I've got it.
I can do this.
I'll fix 'em and make 'em perfect.
I just need to get these two halibut out as fast as I can.
Are you coming on the two halibut? Yes.
Don't [bleep.]
me right now.
Get your [bleep.]
together.
Behind.
Two halibut.
What is that? Wait, wait, wait, wait.
[Bleep.]
.
What is this? That's how that came up there.
What is that? Look.
Yeah.
Just just touch that.
No, there, there.
And the next bit, it's just dry, Michael.
Dry, stringy, and [bleep.]
mushy.
And do you know what? Here's the sad news.
They weren't even refired at the same time.
I watched you put one in there.
And I watched you reheat one that I didn't send.
You didn't have the [bleep.]
to cook me two fresh.
One gets a reheat, the other one gets one left slightly dry.
Hey, you.
Hey, you.
Come here, you.
[Sighs.]
Oh, man.
Sucks to be Mike.
J.
P.
Hey, come here, you.
Come here, you [bleep.]
.
Get in here, you Belgian [bleep.]
.
Time-out, this guy.
Five minutes.
[Bleep.]
off in the back.
There's your buzzer.
[Bleep.]
off, Michael.
(Announcer) It's two hours into dinner service, and diners who ordered from the red menu are enjoying their entrees.
Good, right? It is very good.
(Announcer) But some of the diners who ordered from the blue menu Well, at least there's wine.
Cheers.
(Announcer) Are still waiting because of Michael's fish fiasco You didn't have the [bleep.]
to cook me two fresh from [bleep.]
raw.
(Announcer) And chef Ramsay is not exactly pleased.
Hey, come here, you.
Time-out, this guy.
Five minutes.
[Bleep.]
off in the back.
There's your buzzer.
[Bleep.]
off, Michael.
Damn! That's what I do with my eight-year-old.
[Whistling.]
I can't remember the last time I was in a time-out.
I could just feel everybody's eyes in the dining room looking at me, and it [bleep.]
sucks.
I just need to pull it together.
[Exhales.]
(Announcer) Michael is eager to prove he's learned his lesson.
Chef Ramsay The pork.
(Announcer) Is eager to get food out to the dining room.
Oh, [bleep.]
me.
Ah, [bleep.]
.
As if it couldn't get any [bleep.]
worse.
Hey, chef.
Going with two (Both) Wow.
All right, chef, let me put it in the oven.
(Jon) Wow, dude.
Oh, guys.
Get it in the oven! Yes, chef.
Oh, [bleep.]
hell.
(Announcer) With no food leaving the blue kitchen Last table for you is four New York strip, one salmon.
That's it.
(All) Yes, chef.
(Announcer) Chef Ramsay looks to the red kitchen to complete their successful service on a positive note.
We got this, ladies.
Let's go.
[Bell rings.]
Hey, you.
Awake? Yes, chef.
Get it together! Yes, chef.
(Gordon) Halibut? Thank you.
There's two halibut right there.
Go, please.
(Cyndi) Can I start walking on this salmon? Yes.
There is nothing in this world I want more than just to be done with this last ticket.
(Gordon) Service, please.
Ahh! Switch off, ladies.
(All) Yes, chef.
(Gordon) Pork.
Pork, right here, chef.
Guys, kill everything, please.
Ladies, you won again.
Good job.
Thank you, chef.
Thank you very much, chef.
(Gordon) And do you know what? You all need to now fight for your spot.
Competition's on.
(All) Yes, chef.
Get out of here.
Well done.
Thank you, chef.
Yes, chef.
I am so glad the red team won.
If we lost service tonight, I might have been nominated.
This is such an amazing feeling.
My prayers have been answered.
You lost, guys.
You know that, right? (All) Yes, chef.
Tonight, I want you to consider everything that's happened in this competition since you arrived to come up with the one individual that you want out.
Got it? (All) Yes, chef.
Head up to the dorm.
I'm pissed because this is our menu, our time to shine.
It should've been easy.
There's no excuse, man.
Yo, Mike, I don't know what the [bleep.]
happened tonight, dude.
Yeah, chef, holy [bleep.]
.
Oh, I know.
You know, I obviously I had a bad night tonight, but I wasn't surrounded by rock stars.
In my defense, good services that I had were a lot better than a lot of other people's good services.
I will say that.
(Michael) Zach was dragging food all night.
Anthony [bleep.]
the bed over on garnish 'cause he didn't open his mouth.
I'm just gonna have to fight and defend myself.
There were a lot of [bleep.]
mistakes tonight.
You know what I mean? And I definitely wasn't alone.
This is the first service where the station I'm working has had something go wrong.
But, like, that garnish station, that's why I said it was so important.
If you were talking to the [bleep.]
other kitchen, we would know exactly what the [bleep.]
was going on.
Anthony, you weren't talking to 'em.
Yeah, you're right.
(Announcer) While the men play the blame game, the women Cheers.
(Announcer) Toast to another dinner service victory [Phone ringing.]
(Announcer) But the celebration is cut short.
I'll get it.
Hello? Mary, I need to see all of the ladies in my office straightaway, please.
Okay.
Yes, chef.
Thank you.
To chef's office, right away.
I am nervous.
Why? 'Cause I don't know what to expect.
(Gordon) Okay.
Um, ladies, I've been doing a lot of thinking, and I realized I have no choice.
I have very little option.
I want all of you to have a meeting and decide amongst yourselves which individual will be joining the blue team.
Have a good discussion, as a team.
Really talk it out together.
(All) Yes, chef.
Whoever goes over, I want you to be a fighter, a leader, and get that team into shape.
Get out of here.
I cannot wait to volunteer.
I wanna show chef Ramsay that I can turn a losing team around and make them a winning team.
Well, let me say one thing.
It might sound crazy, but I would like the challenge.
And I would like the opportunity to show myself as a leader, so I wanna go.
I agree with everything that you're saying.
(Both) I was thinking the same thing.
Seriously? Now all of a sudden, they all wanna be on the blue team.
I should be going over there.
For your reasons, I would go too.
(Ja'nel) Do you wanna just draw a name out of a hat? Let's just draw I mean, we all pretty much kinda wanna go.
Yeah.
Oddly enough, we all volunteer.
So we just decide, let's just leave it to fate.
Mary, you've got the magic hands.
I would just dump one into your hand.
(Cyndi) Pour out one, Mary.
I'm gonna shake it up.
All right, guys, moment of truth.
Cyndi.
Oh, [bleep.]
.
Cyndi.
[Chuckles.]
Uh, blue's my favorite color, so it's really kind of awesome.
I cannot wait to see the blue team's faces when they find out that I'm gonna be joining them.
Men, as your leader, I demand that you get your [bleep.]
together and start winning some [bleep.]
.
I'm red at heart.
(Announcer) While Cyndi ponders her future on the blue team Do I still get to sleep in the same room? [Laughter.]
(Announcer) Back in the dorms Who are you voting for? Based on everything up to today, I would say Zach.
(Announcer) The men still haven't reached a decision on which chef to nominate.
Now we're stuck on votes.
I thought we were putting up Mike.
You voted for Mike.
You voted for Mike.
He voted for you.
I vote for you.
The last couple services, you've been going down.
That's some [bleep.]
right there.
Chef Anthony puts me up on the chopping block.
You piece of [bleep.]
.
I helped you more than anybody tonight.
Then you got the [bleep.]
To put me the [bleep.]
up? Chef Anthony put me up.
And after that, you better not say my [bleep.]
name out your mouth.
You [bleep.]
.
Dude! (Zach) Nah, don't "dude" me, none of that [bleep.]
.
You wanna put me up, put me the [bleep.]
up.
But don't look my [bleep.]
direction.
All right.
Coward.
Zach thinks I am somehow disrespecting him for casting my vote for him.
I mean, there's only four of us.
It's not like we're just cutting deadweight here.
We're cutting strong people, and there aren't that many choices.
We still have to come to a [bleep.]
consensus.
Don't say [bleep.]
when I'm in the bathroom neither.
What does it come down to? I don't know, man.
So now we're at a stalemate.
And even as we're heading down for elimination, we still don't know who we're sending up.
[Dramatic music.]
[Deep breath.]
Anthony.
Yes, chef? Blue team's nominee and why, please.
Chef We were split on our votes.
But I asked you to come to a consensus.
I-I gave you an assignment.
What is this? Come on.
(Announcer) After failing to achieve victory at dinner service, chef Ramsay instructed the blue team to come up with one nominee for elimination We were split on our votes.
(Announcer) But they seem to have failed at that too.
This is a serious decision.
I need some integrity.
Jon? Yes, chef? Based on everything you've seen, everything you've cooked, everything you've tasted, who's the weakest individual in the blue team? Michael.
Because he really [bleep.]
us today.
He did.
Michael, who is the weakest individual on the blue team? I chose Zach, chef, just because of the inconsistencies.
Anthony? The weakest chef on the blue team is Zach.
So, Zach, I think I know your answer.
Who is the weakest individual? I think it's chef Mike.
[Sighs.]
Two for Zach and two for Michael, right? (All) Yes, chef.
Both of you, step forward.
Zach, you were not the worst person in the kitchen tonight.
But the big question is, Zach, are you better than Michael? Yes, chef, I am a better cook, and I am a better chef.
Here's the thing, Zach.
After tonight, there's only three of you left.
Have you got what it takes inside to step up to another level? Yes, chef, I definitely do.
Three of the dishes that were on the menu tonight were three of my own dishes.
There's, like, five of them.
(Gordon) Your dishes? Is that right, Anthony? Chef, we were all putting in ideas on the menu.
Chef, I set the blueprint up for it.
And naturally I had input from my team, but the basis of the dish was all me.
Jon, is that B.
S.
? Yeah, that's [bleep.]
.
I could smell it from here.
Michael? Chef? At this stage in the competition, we cannot afford to make mistakes.
What happened? I don't wanna make any excuses, but the one thing that did confuse me was the timing of everything.
You don't wanna give any excuses, but that did sound like an excuse.
Why are you a better chef than Zach? I'm a better chef than Zach because I have a lot of fine dining experience.
For the past 14 years of my life, I've done nothing but sacrifice everything you know, not even bringing own son home from the hospital when he was born 'cause I decided to work.
And if this is a wake-up call to push myself to the next level, then this is what I need.
But by no circumstance am I ready to go home tonight, chef.
No chance.
My decision is Michael Give me your jacket.
Thanks, chef.
It was an honor.
I appreciate it.
Thank you.
Zach, back in line.
(Michael) I had one bad service.
My team saw me as a threat.
That's why they got me out of there.
I tried to put up a good fight, but chef Ramsay saw otherwise.
So, uh, you know, I have to respect his decision.
Men, the odds are stacked against you.
I had a meeting with the red team earlier and asked them to volunteer someone from their team to join your team.
Ja'nel? Yes, chef? Who volunteered to go over to the men's team? All five of us, chef.
All five of you? We all volunteered, chef.
What happened? We drew a name out of a pot.
But I asked you to come to a consensus.
Wh is atis? I'm not playing [bleep.]
roulette for a restaurant here.
I swear to God, I've had enough.
All of you (Announcer) Next time on Hell's Kitchen What the [bleep.]
is going on? (Announcer) When chef Ramsay's star student I cannot believe you've done that.
(Ja'nel) This is my worst nightmare.
(Announcer) Finds herself falling from grace.
That is disgusting.
(Announcer) How low will she go to shift the blame? She fired the halibut.
This skinny bitch sabotaged me.
(Announcer) And when Nedra refuses to take the fall.
.
You not about to [bleep.]
beat me down.
Literally, get your head out your [bleep.]
.
Chef, [bleep.]
you.
How about [bleep.]
you? Get out! [Bleep.]
.
(Announcer) Will it earn someone else a second chance? What if I sent the wrong chefs home? Oh, my God.
Damn it! (Announcer) Find out next time I'm done! (Announcer) On an eye-popping Come here, you.
You're stupid.
(Announcer) Heart-stopping [Bleep.]
off.
[Bleep.]
off.
[Bleep.]
off.
[Bleep.]
off.
(Announcer) Episode of Hell's Kitchen.
