Hell's Kitchen (2005) s11e16 Episode Script

6 Chefs Compete

Previously on Hell's Kitchen Chef Ramsay surprised the red team and the blue team with an individual challenge.
You'll have 45 minutes to make me whatever you want.
Zach got crushed by chef Ramsay.
One little portion's come out of a doll's house.
Give me a minute.
Ja'nel did well.
The duck is cooked beautifully.
But Jon did better.
The winning dish belongs to Jon.
And he was awarded with an amazing prize.
At the next dinner service, you're safe.
Good job.
At dinner, with celebrity guests Maria Menounos and Jeremy Sisto.
At the chef's tables Good lord almighty.
She's so hot.
Cyndi was a mess Hey, madam, you're working like a dirty little pig.
On every level.
You've given me six portions when I only need three.
What the is wrong with me? While in the blue kitchen, Anthony was Fiddling around like an old granny.
I don't even know what that means.
A disaster.
Cold and raw! ! Come here, you! And he earned a dreaded trip to the pantry.
You're sending me raw food! But it was Zach Does that not look dry to you? Yes, chef.
It's ridiculous! And his poor performance on the meat station Two Wellington.
How long? Who sent chef Ramsay to the red kitchen.
I need these.
You can take them all, chef.
To save the service.
Hallelujah! Although both teams had their ups and downs I'm gonna need a week in therapy after this.
It would be another loss for the blue team.
Which chef are you ready to drop? And chef Ramsay looked to Jon for a recommendation.
I'm gonna have to put up Anthony.
Chef Ramsay agreed.
Anthony, give me your jacket, big boy.
Your time is done.
And with that, Anthony's dream of becoming head chef of Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill at Caesars Palace went up in flames.
Fire Whoa.
The way you swerve and curve really wrecks my nerves and I'm so excited, child Ohh! Go, Jon! When you take what you've got and, girl, you've got a lot you're really smokin', child yes, you are when you're hot, you're hot you really shoot your shot you're dynamite, child yeah well, I can tell by your game you're gonna start a flame love, baby, baby the way you push, push lets me know that Hey, hey! You're good you're gonna get your wish oh, no fire what I said, child oww, fire uh-huh got me burnin', got me burnin' And now the continuation of Hell's Kitchen.
Good night.
Welcome aboard, Ja'nel.
You know you're, like, one of the strongest people.
I don't think the red team fully comprehends what they've just done.
The red team has selected Ja'nel to move over to the blue team.
Ja'nel.
Yes, chef.
Ja'nel and the blue team we're a force to be reckoned with.
More like a freight train without any brakes.
I really feel like Ja'nel's gonna mesh well with us.
Yeah, I think so too.
To be honest, man, I was leaning towards keeping Anthony for a hot minute.
Only 'cause I was worried that if something happens, you would shut down.
Nuh-uh.
No way.
I will never shut down on you.
Keeping chef Zach was the right decision.
The red team has no chance of winning anything from here on out.
This feels so weird.
Can't wait for this .
Hell, yeah.
New and improved.
I'm excited to work with you.
Let's get it poppin'.
I definitely wish that we would've kept Ja'nel and gotten rid of somebody else.
It just sucks.
Our decision was our decision, and you can't go back on it now.
Ja'nel, seriously, you look like in that color.
With the new team dynamics I don't wanna lose.
Some of the chefs are hoping to stand out.
Let's go, Cyndi.
My God, you move fast.
And some are hoping to redeem themselves.
Good morning.
Good morning, chef.
Red team, you've had a phenomenal run.
You have won ten challenges.
Blue team, you've won one.
Today is your final team challenge.
A chance for the blue team to maybe finish strong.
Nope.
Now, before I tell you what the next challenge is, I'd like to introduce you to two friends of mine.
Please welcome chef Jon and chef Owen.
Gentlemen, good morning.
Great to see you both.
Good morning.
Thank you very much.
Good to see you.
These two know how to perform when the heat is on and they work together in perfect sync.
Which is crucial, because as chefs, we juggle a lot of things, right? Yes, chef.
Every day, every service.
Oh, no.
Wow.
Oh, my God.
Knives and flaming batons.
What the hell? I can't juggle.
I'm not gonna lie.
When we're all doing our jobs together, the goal is to be in sync.
They trust each other.
And I trust them.
Oh, my goodness.
Oh, man! This looks like a liability ready to happen.
One false move, it's the end of chef Ramsay.
Now, that is timing.
Wow.
Yeah, bravo! That was amazing.
Owen and Jon are not actually chefs.
They are the passing zone.
They communicate with each other, and they perfect synchronization.
Great job.
Thank you.
Absolutely brilliant.
Well done.
Thank you so much.
Thank you.
Thanks, guys, that was amazing.
Fabulous.
Now, that is what I call teamwork.
And that is what your next challenge is all about.
Today, your test will be the amazing three entree relay.
Yes.
As a team, you'll all have 30 minutes to cook three stunning entrees from our regular menu.
Here's the catch.
Only one of you will be in the kitchen at a time.
Ah When you get in the kitchen, you start cooking for five minutes.
When those five minutes are up, you'll switch out.
15 seconds to communicate with the next person.
And then switch.
The team with the most precise and the most accurate three entrees at the end of those 30 minutes wins the challenge.
Okay, Cyndi, Zach, meet me in the center at the hot plate.
Let's go.
In today's communication relay challenge, each team must prepare three dishes from the regular Hell's Kitchen menu.
Roasted chicken, rack of lamb, halibut.
Yes, chef.
You have 30 minutes.
The first five minutes starts now.
Off you go.
Chef Ramsay has selected these three dishes because they have vastly different cooking times and techniques.
Faster, faster, man.
It is crucial that the first chef on each team has a strong game plan.
That begins with the proteins that take the longest to cook.
Think smartly, let's go.
Come on, Cynd.
First thing I wanna do is get the chicken broken down because that needs the most time to cook.
The second thing is the lamb.
I gotta get the lamb searing off so I can get it in the oven so it has plenty of time to rest.
Awesome.
Keep it up, keep it up.
Half your time is up.
Come on, Zach.
Let's get moving.
Zach, come on.
Heard that! are running through my mind.
But I'm used to organized confusion.
I mean, it's not my first rodeo.
I don't even see anything out yet.
Come on, Zach! He's not doing anything.
Let's go, Zach! Think, think, think.
Roasted chicken, rack of lamb, halibut.
Ja'nel and Susan, get ready.
Three, two, one, switch.
Ah! The departing chefs have just 15 seconds to clearly communicate to the incoming chefs what three dishes they are making Lamb, halibut, and the chicken.
And what still needs to be done.
Chicken's not working, lamb's not working, the halibut pan is on.
Which, in the blue team's case, is nearly everything.
Cyndi, Zach, out.
Let's go.
Oh, man.
Where is As I get into the kitchen, I see I have to set up where it should already have been set up.
Zach didn't do anything, and that definitely slows me down.
This kitchen is so backwards.
Nearly halfway there, Susan, let's go.
Where are the tongs? This is absolute chaos.
It doesn't feel right, the ingredients are all over the place.
I really need to get this together.
Susan, firing.
Come on.
Stay in control, please.
Oh, my God.
Is he okay? The pan's on fire.
Yeah.
Ja'nel, watch that.
It's on fire.
Leave that.
Oh, my God.
Chef Ramsay is literally putting out fires in both kitchens.
Oh, I think he got splashed.
Hope he's all right.
And I thought the jugglers were dangerous.
Let's go! Come on, Susan, you got this! Lamb's going in! Get ready, Jon and Mary.
Three, two, one, and switch.
Let's go.
Only 20 minutes remain.
And after a quick conference with Ja'nel I've got the chicken in the corbullion, I've got the lamb over there, it needs to be dressed, go in the oven.
And Susan The lamb is in the oven, the chicken is poaching.
Okay.
Keep going.
You got it? Yeah, I got this.
Mary and Jon get to work trying to make sense of the chaos in the kitchen.
Oven just went on.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
The oven's not completely hot.
This lamb cannot be right now 'cause there is not enough time.
Bang that out.
Let's go, Mary! Keep up the pace! Oh, my gosh.
Are you kidding me? The halibut is, like, over in la-la land, completely cold.
What were you thinking? I'm gonna get the chicken in now.
Good job, Jon, using that time well.
Ooh.
Oh, .
.
Oh! He dropped the chicken! Three, two, one, switch! Go, Cyndi! It's the fourth round of the relay challenge, and with only 15 minutes left, it is critical that Cyndi The halibut needs to be set to the side! And Zach I saw what just happened.
First I'm gonna do is get the chicken.
Listen carefully to what needs to be done next.
Check it.
I'm I'm gonna I'm gonna Listen.
Listen to me.
Okay, go.
Dude, you don't talk, I talk right now.
You got coming up right here.
Two, one.
Out! Oh, .
I hope Zach heard something, because he talked through almost half of the time I had to talk to him.
Better be in the pan right now.
Yeah.
Otherwise that chicken will be raw.
Get it in the pan.
Good job, Zach! Come on, Cynd, you got this, girl! Oh, man.
Are you kidding? I left the halibut in the pan too long, and it started to burn on one side.
This is not good.
Switch! Let's go.
Talk to me! What do you got, Zach? Gotta get the pistachio puree made.
I have no idea how to make it.
Gotta add chicken stock to that.
Two, one, out! In the kitchen, five minutes feels like nothing.
I need to get the sauce going, and all the garnish needs to be fired.
It's a lot of pressure.
You got this, Ja'nel! Remember, all three dishes need to be completed in just over seven minutes! Oh, come on, Suze.
I don't know why Cyndi was focused on the puree of pistachio.
I still have to clean the kale for the lamb garnish, make sure the chorizo and the hash is ready, and there's something else.
I think I'm missing something.
Do the chicken.
I completely forgot to tell Susan to sear it.
Come on, Susan, do the chicken.
Three, two You gotta floor it.
One, switch! Let's go.
It's the final leg of this difficult task of communication and teamwork, and it's up to Mary and John to complete cooking all three dishes.
You got it, Jon boy, pull it together! Oh! I step in the kitchen, I realize, dude, I need seven minutes, and I only have five.
Damn, that's not having any time to rest.
Seriously.
There's a lot for me to do.
And I'm trying to do everything that everybody else forgot, and time is running out.
Oh, man Come on, Mary.
Come on, Jon, you got it! Start plating.
Whoo, ! 30 seconds to go! Oh, come on, babe, get on the plate.
Come on! Let's go, let's go, let's go! Five, four You can do it! Go, Mary! Go, go, go! Three, two, one oh, my God.
! Come on, Jon, you got it! Good job.
There are just seconds left in today's relay challenge Whoo! Go, Mary! Go, go, go! And the chefs in the anchor position Mary and Jon hustle to get all three of their dishes plated.
Oh, my God.
One! ! And stop.
Wow.
me.
There's nothing on that plate.
It sucks because I am the last person in there, and it reflects on me the most because I couldn't get it done.
The lamb is raw.
.
Oh, dude.
This is not good.
All of you, come here.
With the cooking complete, chef Ramsay will now decide which team's three entrees from the Hell's Kitchen menu are more accurate.
Let's start with the lamb.
Mary.
Jon, bring down the lamb.
Red team.
O-M-G.
Well, at least the lamb's cooked.
But it looks a mess.
Yes, chef.
Who made the polenta? I started the polenta, chef.
And the kale? That's me.
That is just bitter and raw.
I can't believe Mary put up this crap.
This is not looking good for the red team.
Blue team.
My God.
Can't even eat that lamb.
Polenta.
Who made that? I finished the polenta, chef.
Ja'nel started it.
Polenta's nice.
Maybe if I could combine the two, put the cooked lamb on the perfect garnish, but I can't.
Point goes to None of you.
Chicken, let's go.
Thank you.
Uh, ladies, chicken.
Where is it? It's right here, chef.
That's it? That's what you give me in 30 minutes.
It's a disgrace.
Yes, it is, chef.
I am so disappointed in myself, disappointed in my team.
There's no way I can even look chef Ramsay in the face.
Zach, who cooked the chicken? I did.
I hope it's cooked.
Skin nice and crispy.
Is it cooked properly? Please Yes, it is.
Thank God for my quick thinking, because I knew what to do.
I saved the dish.
Point goes to the blue team.
Thank you, chef.
Well done.
After two rounds, the blue team has the edge.
The halibut.
Let's go.
And now the red team must earn a point on their third dish or they will lose the challenge.
Cyndi.
Yes, chef.
That is just a mess.
It look like it's been dropped from the ceiling.
Halibut badly seared on one side.
That's my fault.
And it tastes burnt.
Really burnt.
The girls' halibut it's burnt.
I'm like, "Hell, yeah.
" Blue team might actually pull this off.
Halibut's beautifully cooked.
It's obvious the winning team is the blue team's, congratulations.
Yes! Yay! Unbelievable.
Yes! We did it! Finally! Team blue! In the building! Damn, I love you.
Good job.
Blue team, you are in for an amazing treat.
I've arranged for you to have an exclusive tour of Los Angeles from your own helicopter.
Dude! That is so I've never been in a helicopter.
Oh, my God! After, you'll have a once-in-a-lifetime experience at the exclusive Gillette Ranch.
Yeah.
You will be indulging in over $20,000 of the rarest caviar in the world.
I'm gonna pass out, man.
I can't even believe it.
This is living life like a rock star today.
You better hurry up, because your car is waiting.
Thank you, chef! Well done.
Well done.
Thank you, chef.
Enjoy.
You're going out.
Yes! Unbelievable.
An absolute meltdown.
I didn't expect it from you three.
Was it Ja'nel you're missing? No, chef.
All three of you are in for a very long day.
I've arranged for a truckload of potatoes and onions, you'll prep them and send them to the Los Angeles mission.
Once that's done, I want both kitchens prepped ahead of tonight's dinner service.
Yes, chef.
Piss off.
I'm really disappointed in myself.
I'm so much better than that challenge.
Like, why can't I work faster, or harder? Or why can't I think like chef Ramsay does? Oh, my gosh.
Careful.
Oh, my God.
I got the ones down below.
It sucks to lose.
The red team definitely is not familiar with this feeling.
Oh, no, what're you guys doing? Unloading the truck.
I know what that feels like.
I'm so happy, got our good luck charm.
Let's go, guys.
Come on, hurry, hurry, hurry.
You know, I don't know how I get on the winning team.
Yes, I do.
All I do is win! Ja'nel, I love you! Love you more! Whoo! This is the start of something new right here.
Right to the top.
Hell, yeah.
Let's go! I cannot believe it.
This is incredible.
Are you kidding? Yeah, this is the gotta be the most incredible thing I've ever done in my life.
Over there, straight ahead.
Oh, yeah, I see it.
Straight ahead.
Wahoo! Aah! Dude, lookit.
When Ja'nel grabbed my leg, it kinda caught me off guard.
Keep in mind I'm in Hell's Kitchen, so it's been a while, if you know what I mean.
I could get used to this.
Wow.
While the blue team hovers over Los Angeles, back in Hell's Kitchen Holy "shmokes.
" The red team wallows in the misery of defeat.
This is hard.
My God.
You all right, Cynd? Lemme get you some water, okay? Cyndi's not doing so hot.
She's having problems breathing.
I hope she's okay.
Cyndi, can you breathe? No, chef.
Medic! Medic! After losing only their second challenge out of 13, the red team's backbreaking punishment Cyndi, can you breathe? No, chef.
Is proving to be too much for Cyndi.
Medic! Medic! Cyndi is wheezing, she can hardly breathe.
I'm worried.
I am really worried about her.
What's going on? Chest tightened up.
Are you taking any medication? No.
I could feel the burn in my chest, and I'm scared that I'm gonna not be able to finish the punishment.
I'm scared I'm gonna have to leave Hell's Kitchen.
While Cyndi is attended to by the medics, the blue team is being attended to as well.
Hello.
Wow.
Welcome to Gillette Ranch.
Have you guys had caviar before? Yes.
But probably not of this caliber.
I see all this caviar, I'm just like, cha-ching.
I mean, you're talking about money, money, money, money.
When we taste caviar, we really want to engage all of our senses.
Mm.
Mm.
So good.
That's baller right there.
Mm.
Hope Cyndi's okay.
You okay, girl? Are you all right? Yeah.
I just I feel like gumby.
Like, just Just kind of like whe Yeah.
I feel lightheaded, but I'm not leaving on the account of a freaking asthma attack from my second punishment here.
I'm not gonna let that happen.
Sorry.
At least you get to sit.
That is true.
Probably gonna have nightmares about this sound tonight.
This is why I buy them already peeled.
That was badass.
Hey, guys.
Hi, guys.
Hey, what's up? Awesome caviar! Hell, yeah.
And the helicopter was awesome.
I'm sure it was.
I wonder what all those potatoes are.
Holy .
Oh, yeah, I'm glad I missed that one.
After a day that was a little scary for the red team Are you gonna be okay? Yeah.
And thrilling for the blue team That caviar was incredible.
It's now time for both teams to focus on another important dinner service.
So is there any issue in service that you guys want to warn me about? The biggest problem over here is that people would just shut down Shut down.
And couldn't come back from it.
Don't be too cool for school.
Zach, hello! I'm talking about you, dude.
Like, time to cut the .
Me and Ja'nel kinda just exchanged this look like, "Dude, we gotta watch this guy.
" While the blue team wants every member to contribute, the red team just hopes every member will survive.
This is definitely gonna be the toughest service for me here.
I mean, my body is just exhausted, but as long as I have these two hands and I'm still alive, I'll still be working.
Do not worry about me tonight, both of you.
We've proven ourselves a million times before, but if we don't do it tonight, our legacy will completely die.
Blue team, line up, please.
Yes, chef.
Let's go.
Tonight is the last night that we will have a red team and a blue team.

Ja'nel is driving her team to push out the final appetizers.

Let's go, Cyndi.
Yes, chef.
Three tails, chef.

Just touch that.
Touch that lobster.
When something's so curly like that, what does it mean? Overcooked, chef.
Look, it bounces off the wall.
Did that just happen? It is black jacket time.
We cannot be making these stupid mistakes.
Can I have a poached lobster? Yes, chef.

But twice.
This is ice-cold! Now, chef Ramsay has pulled the red team out of the kitchen Get in here! To make sure this red team does not begin to crumble.
What's happening? I have never been to the pantry with chef.
It's never a good thing when he takes you back there.
You've got to get a standard inside you! You're screwing the red team! Yes, chef.
I'd rather you slow down and increase the standard than sending me ! Yes, chef.
Wake up! Yes, chef! All of you! Yes, chef! Let's slow down, ladies.
Let's get it right.
We have standards! That's right! Come on, Cyndi.
Working.
Being face-to-face with chef's a swift kick in my ass.
Guys, I'm sorry.
I just gotta show him that I will complete this dinner service, and I will complete it right.
Do you have the lobster ready? Yes, lobster's ready.
Here's the risotto, chef, and the garnish for the scallops.
Let's go, Cyndi.
Tails, chef.
Service, please.
Let's go.
I'm back in this.
I'm not giving up.
With Cyndi's lobster passing inspection, her team's appetizers are complete.
It's delicious.
I really like it.
And now the red kitchen must play catch-up on entrees.
Two bass, one halibut, one lamb.
I hope we're moving! Yes, chef! Four minutes out! Meanwhile, back in the blue kitchen Two Wellington, two lamb.
Yes, chef! Zach is ready to serve their first entrees.
Any news, Zach? Any news, Zach? Zach, talk to him.
Yes, right here! Wellington, lamb.
He's not even talking to me now.
I just wanna, like, grab Zach and be like, "listen, man, wake up!" Don't shut down.
Keep us informed.
Two Wellington, one bass, one lamb straight after.
Yes, chef.
He's not even talking to me.
Yes, chef! Yes, chef! Yes, chef! Zach, can I do anything for you? Do you want me to walk this lamb? Zach, can I walk the lamb? Talk to me! Speak, man.
Yes, walk the lamb.
Come on, Ja'nel! Sorry.
I'm here, look.
There.
I'm not sure if Zach's just focused in the zone or if he is, like, his pants right now.
Hot, hot, hot.
That's actually cooked properly, you know that.
Let's go.
Two Wellington, one bass, one lamb.
He's not even talking.
What's going next? Stop.
Start.
No way! No, no stop-start, chef.
Okay? So pick it up! Yes.
Two Wellington, one lamb.
Five minutes? I need three in the pan.
Three? All right, five.
There you go.
Thank you.
While Zach tries to get in sync with his team, over in the red kitchen, the red team has moved on to entrees Bass is one minute from the window.
With Mary on meat Walking on lamb.
And Cyndi looking to redeem herself on the fish station.
Let's go.
Yes, chef.
Two bass, chef.
Thank you.
Nicely cooked.
Go.
Two halibut, one Wellington, one bass, yes? Yes, chef! How long on that next order? I need four minutes.
Okay, heard.
With the red team bouncing back Wow.
It's cooked perfectly.
So good.
Their grateful diners are enjoying their entrees.
Back in the blue kitchen Where's the Wellington? Beautiful.
Zach may have finally found his groove.
Where's the Wellington? Wellington right here, chef.
Relax.
Nobody can cook meat like me.
I'm the meat master.
Where's the lamb? Right here, chef.
Trust me.
I got this.
Look at the lamb.
That's what I've been given.
Come here, all of you.
Lamb's overcooked.
Don't know what the that is.
Hey, I don't know what that is.
He runs away.
No, chef, I'm grabbing another one right now! Hey, there you go.
Would you eat that? No, chef.
Would you wait three months to come and eat that ? No, chef.
Hey, you.
Chef, not a problem, chef.
I have it right here! Is that your best? No, chef, that's not my best! At this stage in the game, if you can't give me your best Hey! Zach! You're history.
off.
The final six are two hours into an above-average dinner service.
That's what I've been given.
But Zach's overcooked lamb Would you eat that ? No, chef.
Has brought his team to a halt.
Hey, you.
Chef, not a problem, chef! I have it right here.
Is that your best? No, chef, that's not my best! At this stage of the game, if you can't give me your best Hey! Zach! You're history.
Pick it up or off, okay? Yes, chef! Zach, come on, man.
Just bounce back, all right? Got it.
Let's go, guys.
Let's get those entrees.
Zach, let me know if you need anything.
Let's go.
Chef, right here beside you.
Service, please.
Let's go.
Plates up.
Go.
Beautiful.
Let's do it like that every time.
Last ticket.
While the blue team gets to work on their final ticket, in the red kitchen One minute on garnish.
Last ticket.
Where's the lamb? Mary's lamb is the only thing standing between the women and a completed dinner service.
Yeah, we're going.
Let's go.
Lamb's cooked perfectly.
Let's go.
Okay, walking on garnish right now.
It's beautifully cooked.
Thank you, chef.
Backs, please.
Yes, chef.
This is how you finish service.
I am feeling great about everything that we did, especially my contribution to the team.
Go, please.
All the ovens and stoves are off.
The red team's final dinner service is complete Cheers.
And for the blue team to finish theirs Zach, how you doing? Walking? Zach must deliver on this final rack of lamb.
Unreal.
It's beautifully cooked.
Let's go, please.
Two separate trays.
Ja'nel, thank you for rocking out on garnish and everything today.
Happy to be here, Jon.
Right, first off, good job.
It wasn't perfect, but it wasn't bad.
More importantly, you all fought back.
That's what I need to see.
Yes, chef.
Tonight, for the first time, we have two winning teams.
Thank you, chef.
Good job.
Good job, guys.
Unfortunately, I have some bad news.
I've decided I'll only be giving out four black jackets.
There's six of you left.
So I need one nominee from the red team Oh, God.
And I need one nominee from the blue team.
Yes, chef.
Yes, chef.
Yes, chef.
Base it on everything you've seen.
Yes, chef.
Get started.
Tough one.
This really sucks.
There's three of us left.
This is a big time decision to make.
I'm just gonna say, hands down, I've come the farthest.
I deserve extra credit for growing as much as I have.
And to just have to walk away from that, I just don't think it would be fair.
Like, I feel like I've progressed the most.
Five times in a row I was put up for elimination.
Are you kidding me? Chef's not looking for the most improved player.
He's looking for the MVP.
You know, I just think I've been solid from day one.
I've had my hiccups, I've fought back.
In the beginning, Cyndi, like, I really did look to you.
But recently I feel like I haven't seen you, like, grow as much.
It's laughable.
With as much experience as she allegedly has, all the mistakes she's making shouldn't be happening.
It's more been of a plateau.
"A plateau.
" None of you would be here if it wasn't for me.
You both would've been gone a long time ago.
I am voting for you, Cyndi.
I expect more out of you because of your experience.
It's really hard for them to say that I should go home.
I mean, I leave here, I can open up a restaurant.
You leave here, you can barely work a line.
stupid.
What I've seen just today on our team, there's no way you can go the up there.
I mean, I think this has gotta be Zach right here.
Service wasn't perfect, but I fought back.
The challenge before that, even when you were losing, I was winning.
Even though I saved the day with the challenge, the chicken that the great chef Jon dropped on the floor Oh, .
.
He still puts me up on the chopping block.
You gotta be kidding me.
, I wanna win.
It's the reason why I'm here.
Who would you put up, Ja'nel? You started off really strong, like, kicking ass in the challenges, and you have recently been kicking ass.
Zach is definitely weaker than chef Jon, but Jon is my biggest competition, and he might be smart to get rid of and I want to win.
I can't believe only four people are gonna get black jackets.
Trust me, this does not get any easier.
Let me tell you.
Blue team, have you reached your decision? Yes, chef.
Ja'nel.
Yes, chef.
Who is the blue team's nominee and why? Chef, tonight we nominated Zach.
Zach.
During the dinner service tonight, we had an issue with the lamb multiple times, and there was a breakdown in communication.
Red team, your turn.
Cyndi, nomination and why, please.
The red team's nominee, chef, is myself.
You? Yes, chef.
Why? My team feels that because of the experience that I do have, I should know better for the mistakes that I've made.
The question was, "Who is the weakest chef?" Yes, chef.
In my mind, chef, I would have to say Mary.
Mary.
Yes, chef.
I need to know how you reached a consensus.
Cyndi is now nominated as the weakest cook in the red team.
Mary, tell me why.
I think that maybe I was looking at it wrong, and I'm sorry that I misunderstood, chef.
If it's based on who I think is weakest, I don't think that Cyndi is the weakest.
I would have to say that Susan is the weakest chef.
So Cyndi thinks it's Mary, Mary thinks it's Susan.
Susan, who do you think it is? At this point, chef, I believe that Cyndi is.
You're all tied.
Oh, jeez.
Ja'nel.
Yes, chef.
Who is the weakest chef on the red team? Uh Chef, in my opinion, the weakest chef on the red team is After a strong dinner service, both teams were declared winners.
Unfortunately, both teams were asked to nominate one chef each for elimination.
The blue team has selected Zach.
But the red team is having trouble.
You're all tied.
Ja'nel.
Yes, chef.
Who is the weakest chef on the red team? Uh, chef, in my opinion the weakest chef on the red team is Susan.
Susan.
Yes, chef.
So that's two votes for Susan, one for Mary, and one for Cyndi.
Susan, Zach, step forward, please.
Zach, why do you think you deserve to stay? Because as executive chef, it's not just getting through a service, it's supporting the team, being a team player, creativity, taste, the whole package.
Do you honestly think you deserve another chance? Yes, chef.
Susan.
Yes, chef.
Why do you think you should stay in Hell's Kitchen? I believe I should stay in Hell's Kitchen because I know how to operate under pressure, contrary to what others may believe.
I'm a fighter, and I believe I can lead your restaurant in Caesars Palace.
But the women think that you are the weakest cook left.
They are pointing the finger at you.
Yes, chef, I understand that.
My decision is I'm sorry, Zach.
Gimme your jacket, please.
Your time is done in Hell's Kitchen.
Thank you.
Thank you, chef.
Good luck.
Thank you.
Take care, everybody.
Bye, Zach.
I got to work side-by-side with one of the greatest chefs of our time, so I'm gonna still continue my culinary dream, and hopefully if chef Ramsay needs me in the future, he'll pick the phone up and call me.
If you call, I'll be there.
Not a problem.
Susan, this is really hard for me.
You've come a long way.
You should be proud of what you've achieved.
And do you know what? You're a smart girl.
When you leave through those doors, you'll be successful, let me tell you.
But Susan you're not leaving here tonight.
Back in line.
From this moment on, everything you do is critical.
Because the end is in sight.
Tomorrow there'll be one more thing that you need to do before I hand out black jackets.
Now, get out of here.
Obviously, chef Ramsay changed his mind tonight because he couldn't bear to see me go.
If I couldn't handle the pressure, I wouldn't be here.
I'd rather win Hell's Kitchen solely on my own and not because I had an alliance.
Zach just got sent home.
So it's just Jon and four ladies in the way.
Wow, man.
Every day I wake up and I put everything I have on the table.
Tomorrow it's time to up the ante.
There once was a chef named Zach.
For words, he didn't lack.
But in the kitchen, he was no magician, and he won't be coming back.
Next time on Hell's Kitchen You now all have a one-in-five chance of getting yourself to Caesar's palace.
Jon thinks he has it made It's pretty cool being the last man standing.
But he has no idea who these women really are.
Gloves are off, earrings are out, I'm going bare-knuckled.
I'm prepared to fight to the death to win Hell's Kitchen.
And when chef Ramsay amps up the competition I'll be only giving out four black jackets.
Somebody's gonna go home right now.
The women will stop at nothing Turn that heat up high.
I instantly smell burn.
Oh, come on! To take Oh, my God! No, no, no, no, no, no Jon out.
What is happening? Take him down.
Please, don't do this.
But what happens when they go too far? Oh my God! All of you, get out!
