Light as a Feather (2018) s02e07 Episode Script

Guilty as Sin

1 NARRATOR: Previously on Light as a Feather.
It was, like, exactly the way you predicted it.
- I played the game again.
- TREY: What? MCKENNA: Sammi is in danger.
Help! Help, help! Jesus, McKenna.
Are you okay? If only you'd been there.
I was probably just sleepwalking.
It's fine.
- Hey, you need to listen, okay? - Dude, what is your problem? Sammi, you need to take this seriously.
Please tell me you didn't play a game with them.
Yeah, with McKenna and a couple other people.
VIOLET: No, McKenna, please.
McKenna, whatever is in there, it doesn't affect us! Please! [SCREAMS.]
The very first time Isaac Salcedo was stung by a wasp, he was 10.
It hurt at first, but only a little.
What he didn't know is that the more you're stung, the more severe your reaction will be.
One is a nuisance.
Five require medical attention.
Ten could send the body into shock.
But a whole hive Isaac's tongue bloated, filling his mouth till he couldn't breathe.
His body spasmed, his eyes swelled, his pulse pounded in his head, but even that couldn't drown out the incessant buzzing.
It would be the last thing Isaac ever heard.
- Light as a feather - ALL: Stiff as a board.
Light as feather, stiff as a board.
Light as feather, stiff as a board.
He's dying.
He's dying.
He's dead.
He's dead.
ALEX: Oh, my God.
- Oh, my God He - MCKENNA: [GULPS.]
ALEX: Who is that? Who did you kill? No one.
It was an accident.
Oh, that's a good one.
You need to tell us everything, Violet.
After my boyfriend Marc died, I had a breakdown, and my parents sent me to Daybridge for some help.
You mean the place you sent Candace to die? That's where I first got the chrysalis.
I knew the rules.
I knew I had to lead a new game if I wanted to survive, so I ended up playing with some of the kids there.
I had no choice.
You always have a choice.
And you made the same one.
At least I didn't blame it on some blackout.
After I was discharged, I kept tabs on all the kids that played the game.
It was down between me and another guy, and I thought I was in the clear until you showed up here.
I asked him to leave, but he forced his way in, and as I was fighting him off, he touched it.
The chrysalis? He was convulsing, and then he stopped moving.
I thought that he was dead, so I freaked out and And I hid his body.
And then I started wondering what if he wasn't actually dead? But by then, I was too afraid to check.
And then after a few weeks, it was gone.
He had finally died.
And what was his prediction? Starvation.
I'm gonna be sick.
TREY: Wait, what the hell is that? M.
It's Margaret Abbott.
Isaac's been drawing her too Just like him.
ALEX: There's still no obituary for Margaret Abbott, but Lena included her in the file for some reason.
TREY: Well, we can't exactly ask her about it.
No one's seen Lena since she disappeared with Henry.
Yeah, but if Isaac and that guy were both seeing and drawing Margaret I thought you said Isaac touched the chrysalis by accident.
He did.
Well, if you knew that that would happen, you would've been less careless.
Unless you wanted him to touch it.
Okay, fine.
You wanna know the truth? Yeah, I put Isaac in the coma on purpose.
He found out that I was tapping into your laptop, and he was gonna tell everyone.
- I had to stop him.
- By trying to murder him? It happened in the moment.
I swear.
Wow, kudos to you.
I'm sure the police will take that into account.
And what are you gonna tell them? I poisoned Isaac with a haunted tumor on my back? Maybe I'll start with the freaking body in your basement.
Right, and they're really gonna take you seriously after you guys dropped those charges on me.
And even if they did, what if they start asking questions like, "What happened to Nadia?" Let's go.
I'm not the only reason Isaac is in danger.
What are you talking about? He played the game.
He was in the red hoodie.
You're lying.
You invited him to Ridge's lake house that night to play the game.
Wait, that makes no sense.
Why would Mack do that to Isaac? You don't believe me? Ask him yourself.
Apparently, he's supposed to get stung to death by wasps.
I just checked with Sammi.
She didn't know Isaac's name, but I showed her a picture, and it's true.
He played the game.
This whole time, we thought it was someone from community service MCKENNA: It was Isaac.
Oh, my God.
He's gonna die.
- [SOBS.]
- McKenna, he doesn't have to.
Listen, I know we've both done shit that we regret, but ending the curse now is the only way to make things right.
How? The drawings, Margaret Abbott It's all connected.
If you just give me a chance to talk to Isaac, I can figure it out.
I'll tell him everything.
I swear.
What, you seriously think we're gonna let you anywhere near Isaac again? I've been fighting this curse alone for too long.
Please let me help you.
Look, I know you're upset about bringing Isaac into this, but you were blacked out.
Blackout or not, I'm still doing the same things she did.
Maybe I led everyone here for a reason.
I mean, somehow, I knew there was a body down there.
All this time, I've been so afraid of these blackouts, but if I could control them, maybe we could learn something.
Actually, I might know someone who could help us with that.
TREY: Hey.
The next words out of your mouth better be a goddamn amazing explanation, Emory.
TREY: I'm really sorry.
Things got crazy real fast, and I just wanted to make sure you were safe.
Yeah, well, lucky me.
Oh, and it looks like Prince Charming found what he was looking for.
It's just great.
TREY: Sammi, wait.
We need to ask you something.
Will you take McKenna to your aunt's? I thought your aunt might be able to help us since we can't force McKenna to black out.
She's a hypnotherapist, right? Seriously? You left me here waiting for you all night, and now you want me to take her to my aunt? Look, I know you're mad, but if McKenna's right about this, figuring out the blackouts might be able to help you out of the curse.
- That's all I'm trying to do.
- What, so we [SCOFFS.]
I'm supposed to tell my aunt about some curse? Emory, the woman already believes in chemtrails [GASPS.]
Oh, my God [STAMMERS.]
What is that thing? It's like a timer for the game.
And we don't have a lot of time, Sammi.
We need your help.
Okay, okay, okay.
I'll I'll I'll call my aunt, and I'll tell her we're dropping by tomorrow.
Is everything okay? I've been trying to call you all night.
Peri, I'm so sorry.
I don't need an apology.
But an explanation would be nice.
You did say you were gonna explain everything, right? [MUTTERS.]
I wish I could tell you everything.
- PERI: Then why don't you? - I really do.
- Then why can't you? - [GROANS.]
Trust works both ways, Alex.
And honestly, I'm I'm starting to feel like I'm not getting it from you right now.
Good-bye, Alex.
I'll try to get in contact with Lena's mom.
Maybe she knows if Lena found anything else on Margaret Abbott.
I'll keep you guys posted.
Sounds like a plan.
You sure you guys will be okay? I know this is a bit of a awkward situation.
What? You think we're gonna fight over you? Don't flatter yourself, Emory.
You're not that cute.
Right? Okay [CLEARS THROAT.]
Tell him everything, or I will.
Like I didn't hear you the first 20 times.
I can't believe you came back.
Oh, Isaac, I'm so sorry for taking off like that the other night.
Okay, fine.
You wanna know the truth? Yeah, I put Isaac in the coma on purpose.
He found out that I was tapping into your laptop, and he was gonna tell everyone.
I had to stop him.
- Isaac, please.
- You should go.
Okay, please, just listen to me.
You can hate me all you want, but I found something out about your visions and drawings, and you have to let me help you.
You're in danger.
Get the hell away from me.
Hello? Hi, Mrs.
Regan? Uh, my name is Trey Emory.
My friend Henry went missing with your daughter Lena.
This isn't a good time.
TREY: Yeah, I'm I'm sorry for bothering you.
I was just wondering if you had any updates on Lena.
My daughter is still missing.
TREY: I I know.
I I was just wondering.
Sorry about your friend.
It's Trey, right? Yeah.
Are you looking for Alex? Actually, I'm here for you.
I was on my way to work, and I couldn't stop thinking.
Maybe you'd be willing to fill me in? I think this should be between you and Alex PERI: I I know, yeah [STAMMERS.]
I agree.
I agree, but She won't let me in.
And I care about her, Trey More than I've cared about anybody for a really long time.
And if she's in some kind of danger I need to know.
Thanks for having us stop by.
Your place is really nice.
Oh, thank you.
I'd give you a tour, but you're pretty much looking at it.
These look like they have my name written all over them.
- 'Cause they do.
Sammi, your mom called again.
She wants to talk.
What, does she need someone to bail her out again? No, thanks.
Um, so, Skye, Sammi says you're a hypnotherapist? Yes.
I work with people dealing with behaviors they can't explain Compulsions, bad habits, things like that.
Now, I can't tell you who I've helped, but I can say that they are hard keeping up with.
MCKENNA: Worked with the Kardashians? You said it.
I didn't.
Um, what So, how does it work? With hypnosis, we try to unlock what the subconscious mind is doing while we're asleep.
We spend about a third of our lives sleeping, and who knows what we're doing during that? It's like peeling an onion.
We peel back one layer at a time until we found out what's really hiding underneath.
I'm sensing your curiosity goes deeper than that.
Yeah, actually.
I've been having these blackouts and doing things I can't remember.
Could you help? [CHUCKLES.]
Well, as lovely as it is seeing my favorite niece, I figured there was a reason why you guys stopped by.
So yeah, we can trick your brain into thinking it's actually asleep, and see what happens.
- Sound good? - Yeah.
- Okay.
All right, let's get started.
Concentrate on your breathing.
Two, three, four.
Two, three, four.
It's like you're on a long, familiar walk, a walk through the most comfortable place you know.
Two, three, four.
Now you're on that familiar, comfortable walk.
Picture it in your mind as you walk deeper through it.
Two, three, four.
Hey, about Isaac I'm sorry things went down like that.
You mean, like how you planned it? - ALEX: What do you mean? - Please.
There are three people who could've sent that recording to Isaac I mean, you, Trey, or McKenna, and let's face it.
We haven't been the best of friends, have we? You think it was me? Why would I go with you to Isaac's if Dude, slow down.
There's a curve.
I know there's a curve.
Calm down.
My brakes aren't working.
They're not working.
That's not freaking funny, Violet.
Oh, my God.
ALEX: I thought you were dead.
I wa I was.
Like in the cabin when you died and came back? But that's because we were still in the game It wasn't how I was supposed to die, and neither is this.
But you were you were choking.
We're still cursed.
TREY: I know it's crazy.
You can see why Alex probably didn't wanna tell you.
But you believe me, right? I believe that you guys believe.
TREY: Look, I know this all sounds [PHONE RINGING.]
Hey, I was just Wait, what? Okay, I'll be right there.
What is it? Alex just got into an accident.
We have to get there right now.
How are we feeling? Um I'm okay.
And I saw a couple flashes Leaving Isaac's party, trying to get home, but, uh, that's it.
That's really all I can remember.
If you wanna try again, you can come by whenever I think one time's enough.
All good? Yes.
We're done.
I have more of that tea for the ride back, if you want it.
SAMMI: Thank you.
You ready? Yeah.
Um, actually, you know, I can drive if you want.
I mean, you drove all the way here.
It's the least I could do.
- Uh, yeah.
Cool with me.
- Cool.
Oh, love that band.
Alex? Are you okay? Yeah, thanks for coming.
I didn't wanna call my parents.
Peri? What are you doing here? Trey told me everything.
- By everything, you mean - The curse, the game I know everything about it.
- You had no right - Yeah, but I made him tell me.
And I'm sorry I went behind your back, but I'm not sorry that I'm here right now.
I wanted to tell you everything.
- Shh, I know, I know.
- I really did.
I just thought it was the only way to keep you safe.
Turns out, I don't know how to do that for myself.
But you are safe.
I mean, you're not in the game anymore, right? That's what we all thought, but when we crashed, I saw Violet die and come back, just like when I electrocuted her.
The EMTs kept saying it's a miracle that she walked out of that car alive.
And if it weren't for Violet, I'd be dead too.
You were choking? Wait, what does that mean? [EXHALES SHAKILY.]
I don't know.
I might not be in this round of the game, but I guess that's still how I'm supposed to die.
Last chance to run.
No way.
But promise me No more secrets, okay? Deal.
Where are we? Oh, the navigation froze.
I just have to reset it.
You okay? You seem tired.
Yeah, I guess I am.
More tea? Might help you stay up.
You know, kinda wish I stuck around for your hypnosis.
I would've asked a few questions myself.
- Like? - SAMMI: Mm.
Like, why me? Why Why'd you drag me into all this? I don't know.
I guess you were just there.
Wrong place, wrong time, huh? [SIGHS.]
Mm, story of my life.
Sammi? [SIGHS.]
Ooh, ooh, ooh Ooh [VAN DOOR CLICKS.]
TREY: Hey, Mack.
I've been trying to call you guys.
Where's Sammi? McKenna.
Where's Sammi? Hey, you okay? What's going on? McKenna, you're really starting to freak me out.
Just tell me what's going on.
I'm sorry, Trey.
But I had to do it.
I had to.
You had to do what? What did you do? She she wasn't gonna do it herself.
I had to do it for her.
Do what for who? For Sammi? For McKenna.
McKenna? Fool me once and it's shame on me But you know you better tread carefully Fool me twice, I'm your enemy - Jennie? - Your enemy [KEYPAD BEEPING, LINE RINGING.]
SINGER: If you push I push back Try to hide But I'll hunt you down like a maniac
