Marvel's Avengers Assemble (2013) s04e21 Episode Script

Weirdworld

1 [IRON MAN NARRATING.]
An alien named the Beyonder took pieces of worlds, then mashed them together to build Battleworld.
[CAPTAIN AMERICA NARRATING.]
The people from those places, including the Avengers, were brought to this world.
The Beyonder calls this his experiment.
We call it twisted and dangerous.
After Loki joined our side, we tried to use the Asgardian Bifrost to send everyone home.
It didn't work.
The Beyonder retaliated by splitting Hulk in two, [CRYING OUT.]
then blasting them both away.
[GRUNTS.]
Now Loki and I are rebuilding a new Bifrost so we can undo Battleworld and end the Beyonder's experiment.
What we need next is to power the Bifrost.
We need energy, and lots of it.
I'm thinking gamma energy.
So we need our missing gamma expert, Bruce Banner.
Black Widow, Hulk trusts you.
If he's in one of his rages, - you can talk him down.
- [CAPTAIN MARVEL.]
And if she can't? [CAPTAIN AMERICA.]
That's why you're going, Captain Marvel.
Find the Hulk and bring him home.
[BIRDS TWITTERING, ANIMALS CHITTERING.]
[ROARING.]
[BRUSH RUSTLING.]
I know you're here.
[SCREECHES.]
[GRUNTS.]
[SCREECHES.]
[SCREECHES.]
[GRUNTS.]
[SCREECHES.]
Hey, birdie! Now that I have your attention [GRUNTS.]
Well, well, well.
Bruce Banner, I presume? Good to see you alive.
[CHUCKLES.]
Can't believe you two are here.
But, man, am I glad you are.
Welcome to Weirdworld.
[CREATURE SCREECHING.]
Excuse me a sec.
Quit toying with it and take it down! [GRUNTS.]
[CRIES OUT.]
You know what this place reminds me of? The time I took down a Chitauri warship that landed in the jungle in South America.
[SCREECHING.]
They were tough.
Whoa! But it turns out the piranhas were tougher.
[MUFFLED SCREECH.]
That's it.
Hold it steady.
[GRUNTS.]
[CRIES OUT.]
[SCREECHES.]
Widow, wanna drop the Hawksquatch, or should I? Allow me.
[GRUNTS.]
[SCREECHES.]
Electro-spears.
They have xylem tree sap here that generates 10,000 volts.
You do not want to know how I discovered that.
Bruce Banner, the wizard of Weirdworld.
I'm surprised you haven't built a coconut radio.
Right, Natasha? All righty, then.
Let's get you back to Avengers Tower.
I'm not going anywhere.
I've got unfinished business.
Look out! [SCREECHES.]
[HULK ROARS.]
The Hulk! Knew he couldn't resist.
[ROARS, GRUNTS.]
[GROWLING.]
He's still split into two people.
I was prepared for that.
But I wasn't prepared for this.
What are you waiting for, Hulk? Fight me! [GROWLS, ROARS.]
[YELLS.]
[ROARS.]
Gotcha! [GRUNTS.]
[GRUNTS.]
[GRUNTING.]
[YELLS.]
[GRUNTS.]
No.
That should've held him.
[GROWLS.]
Get back here! [CAPTAIN MARVEL.]
Bruce, forget the Hulk.
Leave him here in the jungle and come back to the Avengers with us.
I can't leave.
Not until I've taken care of him for good.
[BLACK WIDOW.]
But isn't this what you've always wanted? To be free of the Hulk? I'll never be free of the Hulk.
Not as long as he's still alive.
[RUMBLING.]
Take cover.
The creatures, the landscape, the weather? - And even the sky.
- I've seen weirder.
Like I said, weird.
I've seen a lot of stuff in my life, but this place is all new to me.
Remind you of anything you've seen? - Earth to Romanoff! - I heard you.
Natasha's not really one for small talk.
Everything for her is need-to-know basis.
Hey, you never know when something from a past mission will come in handy.
And it's good to know about your teammates' experiences.
[CLEARS THROAT.]
Hulk's been here.
This way.
See? Third destroyed village this week.
This is what the Hulk does.
Burn marks.
This wasn't the Hulk.
Besides, he's always been able to control his rage from hurting anyone.
Yeah.
Any good in him, any control, was me.
Now that we're two people, he's just raw anger, and stopping him is my responsibility.
You know the Hulk better than I do.
If we have to take him down, you have any ideas or tips? Or is that on a need-to-know basis too? I don't know.
Maybe.
This isn't small talk.
This is the mission.
You need to talk more.
Maybe you need to talk less.
Look, I'm not worried about the Hulk.
I'm more worried about Bruce.
The split's changed him.
[SNIFFING.]
What are we waiting for? He's out in the open.
Stay here, unless you want to wander into the trap too.
What kind of trap? [RUSTLING.]
[YELLING.]
[GRUNTING.]
- Whoa.
- Carnivorous plants.
I bioengineered them to attack Hulk's scent.
[YELLS.]
- Got him.
- You got him.
But what do you plan to do with him? Oh, it's not his plan.
It's mine.
Friend of yours? Banner, how rude of you not to introduce us.
I am known as Morgan Le Fay, queen of this realm.
She's a sorceress.
Manipulates magic energy.
Ruler of Weirdworld.
She doesn't exactly seem friendly.
I'm working for her.
Morgan Le Fay and I are gonna kill the Hulk.
- You're going to what? - Kill the Hulk? I'm willing to do whatever it takes to stop him.
[GRUNTING.]
Oh, don't be so overdramatic.
You can't escape.
Besides, you might like what I've planned for you.
Probably not, but you might.
[GROANS.]
[YELLING.]
[GRUNTS.]
Get him! [CHUCKLING.]
[BIRDS SCREECHING.]
[ROARS, GRUNTS.]
[GRUNTING.]
[PANTING.]
[BRANCHES SNAPPING.]
[GRUNTS.]
[ROARS.]
[PANTING.]
That tar pit should've held him! - Bruce, you can't hurt the Hulk.
- It's probably not even possible.
He's our teammate and friend, just as much as you are.
And there's no telling what it could do to you if Hulk is hurt.
You have no idea what it's like to live with that kind of power and anger every day.
We need the Hulk's power and anger.
You've been on more missions with the green guy.
Help Bruce remember what Hulk does for us.
He remembers.
I remember everything, and you'll never be able to understand.
He would never admit it, but Bruce is pretty good at the angry thing too.
Do you know what I just realized? You like the mindless green brute.
Well, that does complicate my plans.
Better to take the complications out of the picture.
Gotta be faster than that if you're gonna get the drop on us.
Thank you for the tip.
I'll try and remember that! [STRAINING.]
[GRUNTS.]
[GRUNTS.]
Ooh! You're a feisty one.
[GRUNTS.]
[THUD.]
[YELLS.]
[CHUCKLES.]
Huh? What an adorable little threat.
[GRUNTS.]
[GRUNTING.]
When I get loose, gonna smack you into next week! [MUFFLED GRUNTING.]
I really hate anyone who talks too much.
It means no one can hear me.
Although it also means you won't get any last words.
[LAUGHING.]
I know you're here, Hulk.
I can feel you.
This is my chance to finally be normal, to be me again, and to rid the world of you.
[YELLS.]
[CLANG.]
[GRUNTS.]
[GROWLING.]
Igneous polymer crystal.
Twelve times stronger than diamonds.
You were never supposed to exist.
You were a mistake.
You've always broken everything, and I've had to fix it! But now? Now I'm going to fix you.
[YELLS.]
[GRUNTS.]
[GROWLING.]
You want rid of me, huh? Now you know how I feel! [CRYING OUT.]
Thermal chloride is pretty painful.
Here, take some more pain! Take all of it! [GRUNTS.]
[GROWLS.]
[CRYING OUT.]
Like that? Corrosive nanite pollen from local flowers.
Pretty smart, huh? [CRYING OUT.]
You're nothing but a destructive monster.
I'm the smart one! You don't know how long I've wanted to do this.
[GRUNTS.]
[GROANS.]
Stay down, you monster! [GROWLS, ROARS.]
[GRUNTS.]
[BOTH GRUNTING.]
[GROWLING WEAKLY.]
[GRUNTS.]
[GROWLS.]
You've already been slowly destroying me for years.
Go ahead.
Finish me, you beast.
Not a beast.
I am you.
[ELECTRICAL ZAPPING.]
[CRYING OUT.]
[GRUNTS, GROANS.]
You'll never be me.
[GROANS.]
[THUNDERCLAP.]
[FOOTSTEPS APPROACHING.]
[BRUCE.]
We have the Hulk.
You don't need to hold my friends anymore.
Let them go.
They attacked me.
Besides, your friends don't seem to like you very much.
[NO AUDIBLE DIALOGUE.]
But since you've grown so attached to them for some reason, I'll release Black Widow and Captain Marvel after I'm done with the Hulk.
I I'm sorry, Natasha, Carol.
I'm sorry it's come to this.
Please understand.
[HULK GROWLS.]
[YELLS.]
[BREATHING HEAVILY.]
[GRUNTS.]
Are you having fun, Hulk? Not that it matters.
What's important is that I'm having fun.
But I had better get on with it.
I have places to be, things to do, worlds to conquer, and a Hulk to disintegrate! [EVIL LAUGHTER.]
[SCREAMING.]
[GROANING.]
[THUNDERCLAP.]
[HULK CRYING OUT.]
[GROANING.]
[GROANING ECHOES.]
It has to be this way.
The Hulk needs to be destroyed.
[LE FAY CACKLES.]
Destroyed? Oh, no.
I don't intend to let such a monster go to waste.
I'm going to absorb his magical essence.
Once it courses through me, oh, it will be beautiful! You don't know the Hulk like I do.
You won't be able to control his power.
The only person who can do that is well, me.
Well, it's a little late for that now, isn't it? [CHUCKLES, SIGHS.]
But this wasn't the plan, Morgan! - You don't know what you'll - I don't care what you think, servant! I'm glad we could have this little chat.
[CRYING OUT.]
And what do you think you're doing? Fixing things.
We have to stop her.
- She's gonna use the Hulk to - We heard.
[GRUNTS.]
[LE FAY.]
Tsk, tsk.
Oh, Bruce.
I guess you get to share in the Hulk's fate.
I call these my very angry horsemen.
[SNORTING.]
[WHINNIES.]
[LAUGHING.]
[GROWLING.]
[WHINNIES.]
[GROWLS.]
[GROWLS.]
Leave the very angry horsemen to me.
Just find a way to get through to the Hulk.
[GRUNTS.]
[YELLS.]
[GRUNTS.]
[GROWLING.]
[GRUNTS.]
[GRUNTS.]
[GRUNTS.]
[GROWLING.]
[MS.
MARVEL.]
Hey, horsey.
Giddyap! [GROWLS.]
[GRUNTS.]
[GRUNTS.]
You okay? I-I don't know anymore.
Yeah, you do.
Still trying to thwart me? [BRACELETS CLICK.]
Oh, I almost feel bad for you.
Only I don't! [GRUNTS.]
[BOTH GRUNT.]
[GRUNTS.]
[GROANS, YELLS.]
[GROWLING.]
[GRUNTS, GROANS.]
[WHINNYING.]
One, two three! Using magic on magic.
It's like you've done that before.
Not that I'd know, since you won't share.
Sorry about your little horseys.
They seemed nice.
Not really up to the task, but nice.
Ech! It's like I have to do everything myself! The gamma energy didn't create you.
It just brought out a side of me that already existed.
When I'd get frustrated about not understanding something, it was the Hulk that pushed me through.
When someone stole my work, it was the Hulk who made me stand up for myself.
I'm sorry, Hulk.
I'm sorry for hating you all this time.
Aw.
Saying your last good-byes? Better hurry.
[YELLS.]
[BOTH GRUNT.]
There is no you and me.
It's us.
And together, we're incredible.
No! [YELLS.]
Bruce! Hulk! No! [CHUCKLES.]
This was never a fight you could win, but it was cute to watch you try.
[CACKLING.]
[GRUNTS.]
It's too late to save Bruce, but we can still stop Morgan! [GRUNTS.]
[ROARS, GRUNTS.]
[GASPS.]
The green beast? But that's impossible! Hulk smash! I don't know how you bested my disintegration spell, but you won't best this one! [GRUNTS.]
[YELLS.]
[SCREAMS.]
Where's Bruce? You're not gonna find him there, if you know what I mean.
I have no idea what you mean.
Your compassion for the green monster has doomed you.
Bad ending for you.
Happy ending for me! The evil witch has left the building.
Time for us to ghost.
[YELLS.]
[SIGHS.]
You know, I think I'm actually gonna miss this place.
So, anyone want to explain to me what happened to Bruce Banner? Carol, it's me.
All of me.
It took Weirdworld to make me understand.
Hulk and Bruce Banner are just two halves of the same person.
Get out.
[THUD.]
So you're back! As a smart Hulk.
- And Black Widow knew it right away.
- I did? Guess friends can be pretty good at saying things without actually saying it.
Thanks for coming to save me.
It means a lot that the Avengers would send Wait.
Why did they send both of you? [SCREECHES.]
[YELLS.]
[SCREECHING.]
[GRUNTS.]
[BIRDS SCREECHING.]
Aw, forget it.
Let's get outta here.
This place is weird.
[GRUNTS.]
