I'm Clarence, a platinum-diamond
double-black-belt
fully accredited park ranger
[chuckles] and Mickey's dad.
And I'm Bill, a fully accredited
Ben's dad.
[laughs]
Uh Uh [chuckles]
All right! Okay.
Let's get started
with some basic bear safety.
Uh, Clarence, I don't think
there's any bears in the--
[screams]
-[kids laugh]
-Relax, Bill, it's just a costume.
Now it's unlikely we'll see
any real bears, but just to be safe--
Make sure you always carry
plenty of bear spray.
And be prepared to use it, like so.
Oh, it stings! [screams]
It really stings!
[screaming]
How about you all get set up
while I give Bill some first aid?
[Bill screaming]

[panting]
Mmm-hmm! [chuckles]
-Oh, here you go.
-Uh-huh.
Oh.
Oh, no!
Whoa, cool teddy, Ben!
[grunts]
[chuckles] My name's Lou. Can I hug you?
Aww, that's so cute
you brought Lou Bear to camp, Benny.
No, it isn't.
And I didn't bring him.
Mom must have packed him.
So it's your mom's teddy bear?
It's not my mom's. [grunts]

[baby Ben crying]

Lou was there when I took my first steps.
And when I started going to school.
But I'm too old to be dragging Lou
around with me everywhere.
I gotta find somewhere to hide him
before the other kids see.

found out I brought a teddy?
[squeaks and chuckles]

No, I need to find somewhere safe
and sound to keep Lou Bear.
And I know just the place.
[Angie] All right guys! Yeah!
-[laughs]
-[indistinct chatter]
Ahem, should we have a story
in the "scary campfire" genre?
Yeah! Yeah, tell us a scary story!
Okay, story time.
It happened on a night like this
to a camper called Bill Uh
Um, you know what?
Let's just call him Billy.
Uh, you sure you want
to tell that story, Bill?
Clarence, you're my road dog.
You handle the bears,
I handle the stories, okay?
[inhales] One day,
Billy went out into the woods to play,
but soon it got dark,
and he realized he was lost.
And that's when he found himself
face-to-face with a monstrous--
Ben?
-Whatcha got there, Ben?
-[gasps] Is that a--
Bear!
[all scream]
Take Mickey! He's the one you want!
Everyone, get behind me!
Whoa!
The coast is clear.
[sighs]
I know somewhere you'll be happy
until I can get you home safe, Lou.
ABC, easy as one, two, three!
Okay, you'll be fine here
until I get you back, Lou.
I won't be long, okay?
[grunting]
Where are you going, Benny-Boo?
[gasps]
Uh, you can talk?
Yeah-huh!
And my arms go up and down
so I can really hug you, too!
Hug you, hug you, and hug you!
[both grunt]
[Lou sighs]
Aww, whoopsy daisy,
let's hug all the ouchies away.
No, please, Lou, stop.
I need to go and do camp stuff,
and you
And you need to stay here
for a while, okay?
Okay, Benny-Boo.
[humming]
Ah!
Lou, what are you doing?
Coming with you, Benny-Boo!
[sighs]
No, Lou, I already told you.
You are staying here.
Hmm, wanna play hide-and-seek?

[sighs] Listen to me.
Uh, actually hide-and-seek

There's a bear!
Oh, the only bear around here
is the friendliest, most loyal,
most special bear
a boy could ever hope for,
and his name is Lou.
[chuckles] My name's Lou. I love you.
Huh?
Yeah, that's right.
I brought my teddy bear to camp with me.
Go ahead and laugh if you want to.
Why would we laugh, Ben?
I brought a friend, too.
This is my first basketball ever.
And this is my first skateboard.
And this is my first ever
pocket digital organizer.
I never leave home without Pinky.
Well, I think that deserves
a round of applause.
-[cheering and chuckling]
-Yeah.

Shh!
[whispering] Everyone move slowly back!
-[roars]
-[screams] Get back!
[screams]
[Clarence] Stop, Bill, it's only me!
Oh, no!
The bear ate my dad!

I was just giving
the old bear costume a spin.
Sorry, I didn't mean to scare anyone,
but Bill did a great job
of protecting you, right?
