Ault: I ACTUALLY FELT SOMETHING BRUSH UP AGAINST ME.

I FIRST HEARD ABOU THE VILLISCA MURDER HOUSE ABOUT FOUR YEARS AGO.
THE MURDERS TOOK PLACE IN JUNE OF 1912.

AND SARAH MOORE AND THEIR FOUR CHILDREN AND TWO OVERNIGHT GUESTS, THEY WENT TO BED, AND THE KILLER WAS HIDING IN THE ATTIC.
AND HE CAME OU WHILE THEY WERE ASLEEP.
I HAD HEARD ABOUT THE MURDERS, AND I WAS COMPELLED TO GO THERE SO I COULD SEE FOR MYSELF WHAT IT LOOKED LIKE.
WHEN I TOLD MY SISTER-IN-LAW ELAINE I WAS GOING, SHE WAS FRIGHTENED FOR ME.
Elaine: I WASN'T SURE EXACTLY IF IT WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE COUNTRY OR WHERE IT WAS AT.
AND I WAS REALLY AFRAID BECAUSE SHE WAS THERE BY HERSELF.
Phyllis: WHEN I WALKED INTO THE HOUSE, I GOT A VERY SICK FEELING.
MY HEAD BEGAN TO HURT, AND I HAD AN OVERWHELMING SENSE OF SADNESS.
I WAS DOWNSTAIRS, AND I COULD FEEL THE PRESENCE OF THE CHILDREN.
I HAD MY VIDEO CAMERA ROLLING, SO I STARTED INTERACTING WITH THE CHILDREN IMMEDIATELY.
IT STOPPED IN MID-ROLL IMMEDIATELY WHEN I SAID, "CAN YOU BRING IT BACK?" Elaine: SHE JUST ROLLS THE BALL BACK, AND SHE SAYS, "SEND IT BACK," AND IT JUST STOPS AND ROLLS RIGHT BACK TO HER.
IT NEVER WENT THE SAME WAY.
IF THE FLOOR WAS UNEVEN OR THE WIND WAS BLOWING, THE BALL WOULD HAVE CAME BACK JUST ONE WAY.
BUT SHE WOULD ROLL IT ONE WAY, AND IT WOULD COME THE OTHER WAY.
IT DIDN'T MAKE ANY SENSE THAT IT COULD CHANGE DIRECTIONS LIKE THAT.
Phyllis: WHEN I WAS INTERACTING WITH THE CHILDREN, ONE BALL REVOLVED AROUND ANOTHER BALL THAT WAS STATIONARY.
Elaine: THE LITTLE BALL WASN'T MOVING AT ALL, BUT THE LARGER BALL WAS MOVING AROUND IT, AND THERE WAS NO WAY THAT ONE BALL COULD BE STILL WHILE THE OTHER BALL WAS MOVING.
SEEING THAT VIDEO, I FELT LIKE IT WASN'T JUST HER IMAGINATION.
IT WAS REAL.
I MEAN, STUFF THAT WAS HAPPENING.
Phyllis: WHEN I SAW THE BALLS REVOLVE AROUND ONE ANOTHER AND WHEN I SAW THE BALL COME BACK TO ME ON ITS OWN, IT WAS PROOF TO ME THA THE CHILDREN, THEY WERE THERE.
AS THE NIGHT WORE ON, I HONESTLY FELT THE WHOLE DEMEANOR OF THE HOUSE CHANGED.
IT WAS LIKE THE HOUSE TOOK ON A WHOLE NEW MEANING.
I DIDN'T FEEL THE PRESENCE OF THE CHILDREN ANYMORE.
I FELT AN EVIL PRESENCE.
I THINK IT WAS THE SPIRI OF THE KILLER.
I HONESTLY FELT THAT THIS PRESENCE MIGHT DO ME HARM AND I HAD TO LEAVE THE HOUSE.
AND I SIT IN THE SWING BY THE BARN, STARING AT THE HOUSE THE REST OF THE NIGH UNTIL THE NEXT MORNING.
WHEN I LEFT AND WENT BACK HOME, I WANTED TO TAKE A GROUP BACK TO PROVE TO THEM THAT WHAT WAS GOING ON IN THE HOUSE IS REAL.
Elaine: I HAD WATCHED SOME OF HER EVIDENCE AND WAS AMAZED AND WANTED TO GO WITH HER.
WHEN I FIRST WALKED IN, IT WAS LIKE YOU COULD FEEL SOMETHING THERE, YOU KNOW? YOU COULD JUST FEEL THE ENERGY THERE.
WE WALKED UPSTAIRS, AND THE OTHER PART OF THE PARTY WAS ALREADY UP THERE, AND THEY WERE SPEAKING TO THIS CHILD THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE IN THE CLOSET.
WE ASKED HIM IF HE WOULD COME OUT.
AND THE DOOR WOULD OPEN ABOUT AN INCH OR TWO.
IT WOULD STAY OPEN FOR A MINUTE OR TWO, AND THEN IT WOULD CLOSE BACK.
Phyllis: SEEING THE CLOSET DOOR OPEN AND CLOSE ON ITS OWN SCARED ME TO DEATH.
I FROZE PHYSICALLY AND MENTALLY.
Elaine: I ACTUALLY WENT INSIDE OF THE CLOSET, AND THERE'S NO AIR OR A BREEZE OR ANYTHING IN THERE.
IT'S AN INNER CLOSET, AND THERE'S NO REASON FOR THE DOOR TO OPEN AND SHUT LIKE THAT.
THE MOST EMOTIONAL PART OF I WAS THINKING, "WHY WOULD THIS CHILD HAVE TO BE STUCK HERE IN THE HOUSE THAT HE WAS KILLED IN?" IT JUST DIDN'T SEEM RIGHT THA HE WOULD HAVE TO STILL BE THERE.
I THINK WHEN THE MURDERS OCCURRED, THE FATHER AND MOTHER WERE KILLED FIRST.
THE CHILDREN HEARD WHAT WAS GOING ON, AND I BELIEVE THAT THEY HID IN THE CLOSE TO GET AWAY FROM THE KILLER.
THAT'S WHY I THINK THERE IS SUCH A PRESENCE OF THESE CHILDREN IN THAT CLOSET.
Elaine: WHEN IT GOT DARK, IT'S LIKE THE WHOLE HOUSE KIND OF CHANGED DEMEANOR.
IT DIDN'T FEEL THE SAME.
YOU DIDN'T FEEL THE CHILDREN THERE.
MY HUSBAND WAS SITTING ON THE BED, AND HE WAS HOLDING THE METER, AND IT HAD THREE LIGHTS LIT UP.

" SHE WANTED TO LET US KNOW THAT SHE WAS THERE.
MAYBE SHE WAS TRYING TO PROTEC US FROM WHATEVER WAS THERE.
Phyllis: WE WERE COMPELLED TO GO TO THE ATTIC, BECAUSE THE K-II METER WAS GIVING US A STRONGER READING IN THE ATTIC.
Elaine: THE CLOSER WE WOULD GE INTO THE ATTIC, THE BRIGHTER IT WOULD GET.
WE WERE ALL FEELING LIKE THERE WAS SOMETHING SCARY THERE.
Phyllis: I ASKED MY SISTER-IN-LAW TO GO DOWN AND GE THE HOLY WATER.
Elaine: I RAN DOWNSTAIRS AND GOT THE HOLY WATER, AND SHE STARTED SPRAYING THE HOLY WATER AND TELLING IT NOT TO CROSS THAT LINE.
Phyllis: I ASKED THAT THE EVIL SPIRIT NOT CROSS THAT LINE AND NOT HARM SARAH AND HER CHILDREN ANYMORE.
Elaine: I'M REALLY NOT SURE WHAT IT WAS, BUT IT WASN'T THE CHILDREN.
IT WAS A WHOLE LOT STRONGER PRESENCE.
Phyllis: IT WAS A VERY EMOTIONAL MOMEN FOR EVERYONE THAT WAS IN THE ATTIC.
EVERYBODY WAS AFFECTED.
WHEN DID DRAW THE LINE WITH THE HOLY WATER, IT DID SEEM LIKE THINGS CALMED DOWN A BIT.
Elaine: THAT'S THE MOS I THINK I'VE EVER FEL THAT THERE WAS A PRESENCE.

AND IT'S NOT THAT I EVER DISBELIEVED ANY OF IT, BUT TILL SOMETHING HAPPENS TO YOU, IT'S KIND OF HARD TO FEEL LIKE THAT COULD HAVE BEEN JUST THE WIND OR THAT COULD HAVE BEEN SOMEBODY ELSE DOING IT.
IT WAS KIND OF HARD TO WALK AWAY FROM THERE AND NOT FEEL LIKE THERE HAS TO BE SOMETHING WE DON'T UNDERSTAND AND SOMETHING OUT THERE.
Phyllis: THE FEELING THAT I GE FROM THE SPIRITS OF THE CHILDREN LEFT ME WITH MORE QUESTIONS THAN ANSWERS.
BUT I WON'T KNOW THE ANSWERS TO THOSE QUESTIONS UNTIL I ACTUALLY DIE MYSELF.
Leigh: I WAS IN MY ROOM, AND I LOOKED AT ONE OF THE PICTURES AND SAW THAT IT HAD A SCRATCH ACROSS MY NECK.
THE MORE PICTURES I LOOKED AT, THE MORE THAT I FOUND MY THROAT SLASHED.

I STARTED TO FEEL THREATENED.
Kevin: IT WAS SO SHOCKING BECAUSE, ACCORDING TO THIS, THERE WAS AN ENTITY THAT WANTED TO SLASH LEIGH'S THROAT.
MY GHOST STORY BEGAN WHEN I BOUGHT A HAUNTED HOUSE IN LISBON FALLS, MAINE.
LISBON FALLS IS A VERY QUIET COMMUNITY.
ONLY HAS MAYBE A POPULATION OF 4,000 PEOPLE.
I BOUGHT THE HOUSE IN OCTOBER OF 1988.
IT'S A LOVELY LITTLE HOME -- THREE BEDROOMS UPSTAIRS, A COUPLE ROOMS DOWNSTAIRS.
AND WHEN WE FIRST MOVED IN, I HAD ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA THAT THERE COULD BE ANY GHOSTS IN THERE.
LEIGH WAS ONLY 4 YEARS OLD WHEN WE FIRST MOVED INTO THE HOUSE, AND SHE TOLD ME THAT SHE FEL THAT THE HOUSE WAS HAUNTED.
Leigh: VERY SHORTLY AFTER WE MOVED IN, I STARTED SEEING PARANORMAL ACTIVITY.
I REMEMBER I HAD JUST TURNED THE LIGHT OUT TO GO TO BED, AND I SAW THIS LITTLE BOY HUNCHED OVER, PLAYING IN MY TOY BOX.
AND JUST AS I WAS ABOUT TO SAY, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" IT DISAPPEARED.
AND I RAN DOWNSTAIRS AND SAID, "DAD, I THINK I SAW A GHOST.
" Kevin: ONE EVENING I WAS AWAKENED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, AND I LOOKED OVER AT THE TOP OF THE STAIRS, AND A CHILD'S APPARITION WAS LEANING IN LEIGH'S DOORWAY.
SO ON THAT PARTICULAR OCCASION, I JUST ROLLED OVER AND PULLED THE BLANKETS UP OVER MY HEAD AND WILLED MYSELF TO GO BACK TO SLEEP.
IT SCARED ME BECAUSE WE BOTH WERE SEEING AND EXPERIENCING THE SAME THINGS, AND AT THAT POINT, I KNEW THA THERE WERE GHOSTS IN THE HOUSE.
I EVENTUALLY MOVED OU OF THE HOUSE WHEN MY WIFE AND I SPLIT UP.
AND AS I HAD LIVED IN DIFFERENT PLACES, THE ONE THING THAT I NOTICED EVERY TIME THAT I'VE GONE BACK, BECAUSE MY DAUGHTER STILL LIVES THERE, IS HOW OPPRESSIVE THE ATMOSPHERE IS IN THAT HOUSE.
Leigh: MY PARENTS ENDED UP GETTING DIVORCED, AND MY DAD WAS THE FIRST ONE TO MAKE THE COMMEN THAT HE FELT DIFFEREN WHEN HE WAS OUTSIDE THE HOME, THAT HE JUST KIND OF FELT BETTER AND LIGHTER.
ONCE I MOVED OUT OF THE HOUSE FOR SCHOOL, EVERY TIME I CAME BACK TO THE HOUSE, I STARTED TO NOTICE THAT YOU FEEL HEAVIER WHEN YOU WALK IN, AND WHEN YOU LEAVE, IT'S ALMOS LIKE A WEIGHT HAS BEEN LIFTED.
WHEN I CAME HOME FROM COLLEGE, I WAS IN MY ROOM, AND I LOOKED OVER MY SHOULDER AT A WARDROBE THAT I HAD, COVERED IN PICTURES OF MYSELF AND MAGAZINE CLIPPINGS.
AND I LOOKED AT ONE OF THE PICTURES AND SAW THAT IT HAD A SCRATCH ACROSS MY NECK.
AND I CHALKED IT UP TO I JUST BEING A SCRATCHY PHOTO.
AND THEN I SAW ANOTHER ONE OF ME WITH A GROUP OF FRIENDS.
AGAIN THERE WAS A SCRATCH IN THE PICTURE, RIGHT ACROSS MY NECK.
AND THE MORE PICTURES I LOOKED AT, THE MORE THAT I FOUND MYSELF IN THEM WITH MY THROAT SLASHED.
AND I CALLED MY DAD AND I EXPLAINED THE PICTURES TO HIM.
AND HE SAID, "OKAY.
"I'M SURE THEY JUST GOT SCRATCHED, BUT I'LL COME OVER AND WE'LL TAKE A LOOK AT THEM.
" Kevin: AFTER I GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH LEIGH, I RUSHED OVER TO THE HOUSE TO CHECK THE PHOTOS, AND ON QUITE A FEW, THERE WAS A SCRATCH DIRECTLY ACROSS HER THROAT.
Leigh: THE PICTURES THAT I HAD FOUND WERE ALL GROUPED TOGETHER ON MY WARDROBE IN THE SAME GENERAL AREA.
SO HE TOOK A LOOK AROUND THE ROOM AND FOUND A PROM PHOTO THAT WAS ABOVE MY CLOSET, NEAR THE CEILING ON A DIFFERENT WALL, A DIFFERENT PART OF THE ROOM.
HE LOOKED AT IT AND SAID, "OH, MY GOD.
" HE SAW THAT THERE WAS A SCRATCH RIGHT ACROSS MY NECK, JUST LIKE THE OTHER ONES.
Kevin: WHEN I LOOKED AT THA SCRATCH ACROSS HER THROAT, A LOT OF THINGS WENT THROUGH MY MIND.
FIRST OFF, THIS IS DEFINITIVE PROOF THAT THE HOUSE REALLY IS HAUNTED.

Clayton: PAULA SHOWED ME SEVERAL PICTURES THAT SHE'S TAKEN OR GUESTS HAVE TAKEN.
THERE'S TONS OF ORBS AND STREAKS OF STRANGE, UNEXPLAINED LIGHT.
Gowins: A GUEST CAPTURED THE SMOKY APPARITION AT THE FRONT DOOR.
THAT IS A CREEPY PHOTO.
WHAT IT SAYS TO ME IS THA THERE'S ALL KINDS OF SPIRITS THAT ARE HANGING AROUND THAT FRONT DOOR THAT ARE WAITING TO GET IN.
Clayton: THERE'S THIS PICTURE OF A SHADOW MAN STANDING IN BETWEEN A GROUP OF WOMEN AT A BRIDAL SHOWER PARTY.
TO THINK THAT YOU COULD BE HAVING A GOOD TIME AND NEVER KNOW THAT SOMEBODY EVIL LIKE THA WAS STANDING BEHIND YOU IS VERY UNNERVING.

AND YOU HEAR THE LOCKS SNICK INTO PLACE.
AND THAT'S WHEN ALL LOGIC FLEW OUT THE WINDOW AND I KNEW THERE WAS A GHOS STANDING ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE DOOR.
I HAVE TO GO WAKE UP PAULA AND HAVE HER LET ME BACK IN MY ROOM.
AND I IMMEDIATELY LOOK AT MY CAMERA AND THINK, "I'VE GOT THAT ON TAPE.
" JAKE HAD ACTUALLY SHUT THE DOOR.
[ DOOR CLOSES .]
[ RATTLING .]
AND HE TURNS MY CAMERA OFF.
Gowins: OH, MY GOD.
THAT IS THE SCARIEST PIECE OF EVIDENCE I'VE EVER SEEN.
IT JUST PROVES TO ME THAT THERE ARE SPIRITS AT MISS MOLLY'S HOTEL AND THAT THERE IS AN AFTERLIFE.
[ DOOR CLOSES .]
Clayton: IT'S SCARY BECAUSE I KNEW HE WAS IN THERE WITH ME.
I KNEW HE WAS WATCHING ME.
YOU COULD FEEL HIM THERE.
AND HE MADE ME FEEL LIKE I WAS AN INTRUDER.
I TURNED AROUND AND I SNAPPED A PICTURE BACK AT THE ROOM, AND IT'S THESE BRIGHT CIRCLES OF LIGHT.
I REALLY THINK THAT WAS KIND OF JAKE'S WAY OF SAYING, "I'M HERE.
YOU'RE RIGHT.
I WAS IN HERE.
YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE.
" MISS MOLLY'S IS HAUNTED.
THERE'S NO QUESTION.
I'VE BEEN BACK SEVERAL TIMES SINCE, AND THERE'S ALWAYS SOMETHING GOING ON.
Gowins: THE PARANORMAL IS ENTERTAINING, AND IT'S SOMETHING WE DON'T UNDERSTAND, AND IT'S THE FEAR OF THE UNKNOWN AND THE ELEMENT OF SURPRISE.
BUT IT'S SERIOUS.
IT'S VERY SERIOUS.
ALL OF THE PARANORMAL ACTIVITY HAS AFFECTED MY LIFE IN THE FACT THAT I THINK A LOT MORE OF THE HEREAFTER.
IT'S RIGHT THERE IN FRONT OF YOU ALL THE TIME.
SOME DAY, YOU'RE GONNA PASS INTO THE NEXT LIFE.

Clayton: JAKE HAS THE RODEO ACROSS THE STREET, THE SALOON IS DOWNSTAIRS, THE STOCKYARDS ARE THE SAME AS THEY WERE 100 YEARS AGO WHEN HE HAD HIS ROOM THERE.
HE MAY EVEN HAVE HAD THE BROTHEL THERE AT HIS DISPOSAL.
SO HE'S HAPPY.
HE'S COMFORTABLE.
THAT'S WHY HE'S STILL THERE.
AND I'M PRETTY SURE THAT MOS OF THE SPIRITS AT MISS MOLLY'S SHARE HIS SENTIMEN AND THEY'RE NOT GOING ANYWHERE ANY TIME SOON.
