So I brought you to
this beautiful chapel
to talk to you about my daughter Alexis.
- We love Alexis.
- We do too.
She's my oldest daughter.
I love her dearly.
And it is time for my
child to get married.
- [GASPS]
- [MAN] I'm home.

My name is Kevin Hasbrouck.
This is my fiancée, Alexis.
[ALEXIS] We met through a coworker
when I was working at Bellagio.
And she brought him into the lounge.
She was like, "Come meet my friend."
And I was like, "Ugh, okay, fine."
[KISSING]
- I'm gonna get changed.
- Okay. I'm just making some chicken.
[KEVIN] A year later, we went
to the park and brought our dogs.
- And it was a wrap after that.
- Yeah.
And then we moved in
together, which was fun.
And everything happened really quickly.
[CHEERFUL MUSIC PLAYING]
Today was wild.
[LAUGHS]
And then we got pregnant.
We're trying to walk the baby out.
[LAUGHS]
[KEVIN] And then once you have a baby,
it's kind of like, everything
flips into survival mode.
- See? All done.
- [OLIVE GRUNTS]
[KEVIN] She fussy all
day? She's pretty fussy.
[ALEXIS CHUCKLES]
I actually graduated, like, the
day before I went into labor.
I finished, like, my last classes.
She took the test, and
she got done about 9:30.
She was exhausted.
And then labor began.
- [KARAMO] How long together?
- Today's their 4-year anniversary.
- Wow, really? That's amazing.
- Yeah.
[TAN] How do you feel
about your son-in-law?
[SHANNON] I'm so close to him.
[TAN] Yay!
And how long have they been engaged?
Two years.
- [TAN] Okay.
- Two years.
- Two years.
- [JEREMIAH] No wedding?
I think it's been difficult trying
to get it together after baby.
- Yep.
- [SHANNON] They've had some challenges.
She's not working, so she's
home during the day by herself.
And then I come every
two or three months
from Georgia
- Okay.
- to help.
- [JEREMIAH] Do they want a wedding?
- [SHANNON] Yes. They always have.
[JEREMIAH] Okay.
A couple years ago,
me and Kevin were like,
"Why don't you just go to the JP
and I'll throw you a
really pretty reception?"
And she said, "Mom, I can't. My
dad has to walk me down the aisle."
- "And he has to have that first dance."
- [TAN] Wow.
And I know he wants to
walk her down the aisle,
but her dad has been
diagnosed with Parkinson's.
Oh my God.
Finding out that my dad was
diagnosed with Parkinson's,
it's like a surreal feeling.
I wish I would've had a camera
when I was at Alexis's track meet.
And they didn't have
anybody to do the high jump.
And so I think it was hard
for him not being able to do
things that he used to be able to do.
He has a hard time
putting things into words,
and his movements aren't
as sharp as they used to be.
She comes around at a right angle.
Basically just ran through the pole.
[LAUGHS]
- You did high jump?
- I tried it one time.
We just don't know how much time he has
before maybe he can't walk her down.
And it's really hard to see, like,
somebody that you love
struggle with that.
When we found out we
were gonna have a baby,
he was going to physical therapy.
And one of his worries was that
he won't be able to hold his grandchild.
Whoa.
[KEVIN] Goo, goo, goo. Goo,
goo, goo. Goo, goo, goo.
Are you still together with
her father or separated?
- No. No.
- [TAN] Okay.
We've been divorced for many years.
- [KARAMO] Okay.
- [SHANNON] We're totally okay.
- [KARAMO] He's here in Vegas?
- [SHANNON] Yes.
And how old is Olive now?
- This week, she's gonna be one.
- Oh.
If you guys don't intervene now,
they will never get married.
- [TAN] Okay.
- And that's why I need you.
- Great.

Just to confirm, you're
giving us a week for a wedding.
I'm giving you a week for a wedding.
[TAN] So the plan is

You guys, I did not know
that in 2024 there's ball pits.
Oh yeah. And you can get
them as big as you want,
which sounds weird, but
you know what I mean.
So we heard you've been
together for four years.
Today?
Happy anniversary!
And Olive's birthday is in a week?
- On Friday. Mm-hmm.
- [KARAMO] On Friday.
Well, your mother was also telling us
there could be another special moment
that could happen this week.
Maybe you all getting married?
[LAUGHING]
We love a wedding.
- Oh my God.
- I hope so. If not, then I'll be upset.

So have you guys thought
about like, ideally,
what a wedding would feel like?
Like, when I think of a wedding,
I want it to represent us.
And I feel like something that's
super traditional, it's just not
- [ANTONI] It's not you.

It's a lot though.
Especially, like, when she was
born, I was like, "Okay, perfect."
- Like, "Maybe we can get to it now."
- [JEREMIAH] Right.
Then I started looking at little things,
and I was completely overwhelmed.
- [JEREMIAH] It's a lot
- [ALEXIS] A lot.
I can tell by the look on Alexis's face
that she's been through a tough year.
I get it. I've got a one-year-old.
And that first year is brutal.
Sometimes going to the grocery store
is, like, a little bit overwhelming.
- [KARAMO] Yeah, makes sense.
- I attempted, but
Your mom also told us it's
important to have your dad there.
Yes, 'cause my dad has
Parkinson's disease.
Okay.
I feel like that's almost a reason
we would want to do it sooner.
We'll figure out how to let Dad know.
- We love a wedding!
- It's on.
[CHUCKLES]
[OLIVE CRYING]
[ALEXIS] It's okay.
- Clearly so much going on.
- Yeah.
Weddings can just be so
consuming and so anxiety-inducing.
Weddings are one of the most
emotionally charged moments
in somebody's life.
So I feel, like, more invested
to create a wonderful experience.
Weddings, traditionally, of course,
they can be a buffet situation,
or it's more of, like, a sit-down.
What feels more you?
- I think more of a buffet situation.
- [ANTONI] Okay.
What do you love to eat?
Like, what makes you happy?
I love Mexican food.
- [ANTONI] Okay.
- I'm obsessed.
Tapas.
So tapas style. Okay,
we can work with that.
I wanna make sure she's
happy and that he's happy.
That's all that matters.
And that the food is good.
[CRIES]
So, like, we literally just
got, like, the official news.
Like, you are getting married.
- I know.
- [JONATHAN] We are getting married.
So weird. Especially to have a
wedding and I haven't planned anything.
You do have five power gays.
- [ALEXIS] I know. I'm glad.
- Who are here to help save the day.
I'm gonna make sure that
Alexis and Kevin feel beautiful.
They need to be able to relax.
They need to be able to connect.
They need to be able to feel
confident and are loving their looks
for the wedding of the season, honey.

- I think in the middle.

Many people dream of their
wedding their entire lives.
And then they have usually
a really decent amount
of time to plan it out.
But Alexis and Kevin are going to have
the wedding of their dreams this Friday.

I understand you're not
looking for traditional.
You're not looking for a typical
princess white dress, any of that stuff.

I just imagine something that's,
like, fun, maybe colorful.
Have you tried on dresses already?
- [ALEXIS] No.

- Well, I actually thrifted a dress.
- Wait, do you have it?

I don't want you to be alarmed,
but Olive and I are
forming quite the bond.

- This is the favorite so far.
Planning a wedding with my husband
was an absolute nightmare. [LAUGHS]

How are you guys feeling?
You're having a wedding,
which is a big deal, you know?
Like, "You're getting married
Friday." It feels weird.
I'm in an adult diaper thinking
about it, so I can only imagine
[LAUGHS]
[JEREMIAH] What I love about
what you guys have talked about
is this idea of it
not being conventional.
Have you thought about
where you imagine it being?
If it was up to me, we'd
go to the courthouse.
I've been wanting to
marry her since I met her.
- Right.
- [KEVIN] So it's real simple for me.
[JEREMIAH] I think that's beautiful.
- Simplicity has nothing to do with depth.
- [KEVIN] Yeah.
What are some moments that
are important to you guys?
Dancing with her dad.
Dancing with my mom.
And then the most
important thing is, like,
him walking her down the aisle
before things get real bad, so
[ALEXIS] Yeah.
I'll never forget the
way I felt getting married
and how present I was,
and the understanding that I was walking
into a very new chapter of my life.
It was really special.
And it's also Olive's first birthday.
Yeah.
Maybe there's a way that we can
incorporate her into the celebration.
Yes, that's also important.
[KARAMO] The union of
two people coming together
and saying we're gonna be
committed to supporting each other,
growing together, I think is so special.
It just reminds us,
in this big world where we
feel like we have to walk alone,
that it is possible to
stumble into somebody
who says, "You know what?
I wanna walk with you."
- You guys are finally getting married.
- [ALEXIS] I know.
So I wanna know what has
this journey been like?
- Raising a human being?
- [KARAMO] Yeah.
Nobody gives you a playbook.
They don't tell you what to do.
It was a little bit of a
struggle, both of us, postpartum.
And I know people don't really
talk about men having postpartum.
But I got it really bad.
- Yeah.
- [KEVIN] So that was a little rough.
I definitely appreciate
your honesty with that.
I think sometimes as men
and as parents, as fathers,
we don't talk about
the things, the fears,
the issues that we're having.
How's it been for you
since you graduated?
- Are you the first in your family?
- Yeah.
- Wow, congratulations.
- [ALEXIS] Thank you.
- [KARAMO] That's big.
- It was a long time coming. For sure.
I would love to start my career.
It's something I was looking forward to.
But it's been hard to have to
choose between the two of them.
- Yeah.
- So it's been, internally, a struggle.
When's the last time
you felt like you let go?
- We're hoping to get to that point.
- Yeah.
- Soon, hopefully.
- Yeah. Yeah.
We all know that with every
new change comes new challenges.
You're still trying to
figure out each other.

Even hearing about your father.
He doesn't know anything about this yet.
- I'm excited to experience that with him.

And just have that special moment.

That she said that her father will
have a bit of anxiety from this.

can be really stressful.
And I thought a good way

if you actually prepared
all the food for the guests.

So I took some mental notes on
some of the talks that we had.
You both have a mutual
love of Mexican food.
- Pretty much.

But I was thinking sort of like a mix
of all of your Mexican
favorites into that.

I really want this day to be
a reflection of who
they are as individuals
when they kind of share their
love with all of these people.

Alexis and Kevin have been through
it. They're busy. They had a kid.
They wanted to get married.
They never got down to it.

And I just wanna keep stress levels low.
At the end of the day, it's,
like it's the two of them.
- So we're gonna have a version of this.

like, a really nice, simple ceviche.

And it's just everyone can kind
of choose their own adventure.

I remember so distinctly the
feeling on my wedding day.
I didn't have an audience of people.
It was just me, my
husband, and our friend.
It felt so powerful.
It felt so overwhelming.
It felt so impactful.
And it felt like something I
never ever wanted to forget.
I haven't forgotten it.
I've got two children. My
eldest is two and a half.
They're boys, but still,
the thought of them getting married
Gosh, it makes me feel emotional.

to the park and brought our dogs.

We're trying to walk the baby out.

flips into survival mode.

day? She's pretty fussy.

I actually graduated, like, the
day before I went into labor.
I finished, like, my last classes.
She took the test, and
she got done about 9:30.
She was exhausted.
And then labor began.

- Today's their 4-year anniversary.

[TAN] How do you feel
about your son-in-law?
[SHANNON] I'm so close to him.

And how long have they been engaged?
Two years.

I think it's been difficult trying
to get it together after baby.

She's not working, so she's

two or three months

walk her down the aisle,
but her dad has been
diagnosed with Parkinson's.

Finding out that my dad was
diagnosed with Parkinson's,
it's like a surreal feeling.
I wish I would've had a camera
when I was at Alexis's track meet.
And they didn't have
anybody to do the high jump.
And so I think it was hard
for him not being able to do
things that he used to be able to do.
He has a hard time
putting things into words,
and his movements aren't
as sharp as they used to be.
She comes around at a right angle.
Basically just ran through the pole.

- You did high jump?
- I tried it one time.
We just don't know how much time he has
before maybe he can't walk her down.
And it's really hard to see, like,
somebody that you love
struggle with that.
When we found out we
were gonna have a baby,
he was going to physical therapy.
And one of his worries was that
he won't be able to hold his grandchild.

into a very new chapter of my life.
