You really should give me more warning about these things.
A Tale of Miss Nettle.
A book about Miss Nettle? Oh, no, what is she up to now? BOOK VOICE: There is a far-off land so cold and wintry that the ground is always covered in a thick blanket of snow.
The kingdom of Freezenberg.
That's where Hildegard lives.
For many years, not a single flower grew in Freezenberg, not one lily or rosebud to brighten people's day.
The king sent his gardener on a quest to find a flower that could grow in Freezenberg.
And the gardener returned with something remarkable.
A flower strong enough to pierce through snow and ice-- the beautiful snowdrop.
The people loved their new flower, and planted it all over the kingdom.
They began to celebrate the snowdrop each year with a winter flower festival.
In fact, the festival is supposed to take place on this very night.
But there is one problem.
This is probably where Miss Nettle comes in.
A wicked fairy, Miss Nettle, has been stealing all the snowdrops.
If Miss Nettle succeeds in taking them all, there will be no winter festival, and what's worse, the people of Freezenberg will no longer have a single flower in their kingdom.
Oh, no! I've got to stop Miss Nettle, and give this story a happy ending.
( neighing ) Do you see Miss Nettle anywhere? No, but that could be because I can't stop shivering.
Oh, and I don't know what she looks like.
There she is.
One flower for me, and one flower for me, and another for me, and who am I kidding? They're all for me.
( laughing ) - We have to stop her.
- All by ourselves? But she has magic, and a really scary laugh.
Don't worry.
We have magic, too.
Hey there.
Do you guys think you could help me out? Does everyone understand the plan? Yep.
We'll distract the hoo-orrible fairy.
As soon as you give the signal.
Good.
That will give me and Minimus a chance to swoop in close and grab the stolen snowdrops.
- Right.
Wait.
How close? - Everyone ready? Let's go! Get your feathers out of my face! Oh! Get away from me, you filthy beasts.
What is this? I'm warning you.
What in the world is going on? Go, Minimus! Hold it right there, Miss Nettle! Well, well, well.
If it isn't my least favorite meddling princess.
Why must you always get in my way? And why do you have to cause so many problems? I do no such thing.
I'm simply taking what's mine.
These flowers aren't yours.
They belong to the people of Freezenberg.
That's what you think.
They're mine, and they always have been.
- Ha ha! - I'll find a way to get them back.
Not after you have a dose of my crazy crystals.
Did anyone see where she went? - Hoo.
- Um what did you say? - ( hooting ) - ( roaring ) Why aren't they talking to me? ( whinnies ) Oh, Minimus, I can't understand you.
( whinnies ) My amulet isn't working.
It must be Miss Nettle's crazy crystals.
I remember when she put them on Mr.
Cedric's wand, - and messed up his magic.
- ( whinnies ) Oh, I can't understand any of you.
But if you can understand me, please, please go and find Miss Nettle.
We have to stop her.
Even if they find her, how will they tell me where she is? ( whinnies ) Oh, Minimus, I'm not sure I can do this without my amulet, without you.
Look.
Maybe a princess is coming to help.
What ya lookin' for? ( startled yell ) Oh, sorry.
No, my bad.
That's okay.
You'd be surprised how often this happens to me.
I'm over here.
Getting colder.
Here.
Let me help.
Ah, thanks.
I'm Olaf, and I like warm hugs.
Oh! I'm Sofia.
And this is Minimus.
Whoo! He's like a purple reindeer with wings and no antlers.
( indignant whinny ) So what are you looking for, Sofia? A princess.
Oh, I was just with a princess.
Princess Anna of Arendelle.
I'm not sure where she went though.
Or where I am.
Where am I? - Oh, no.
- Ohno, Ohno.
Nope, never heard of it.
Is it far from Arendelle, because I should probably get back.
Olaf, I think my amulet brought you here by mistake.
It usually brings a princess to give advice.
But a wicked fairy blew crazy crystals on it, and, well, it sent you instead.
( laughs ) The amulet sent me to give advice? I can give you advice.
- Really? - Uh-huh.
( whispers )Don't get too close to fire.
Oh, okay.
Thanks.
So what now? Well, usually, princesses go back where they came from.
Oh, right.
Well, bye then.
Good luck with the wicked fairy.
Okay, it was nice meeting you.
Uh I'm still here.
It's because my amulet's not working right.
I'm so sorry, but I'm afraid you may be stuck here.
As in forever, or some other less forever-y amount of time? I don't know.
This is getting worse and worse.
Now we need to stop Miss Nettle from ruining the flower festival and fix my amulet so you can go home.
Aw, it's okay, Sofia.
Me and the purple antler-less reindeer can help you out.
Okay.
All right, what do we do first? I guess we have to find Miss Nettle.
Okay, let's do it.
Oh, sorry.
Whoo! Nice ride.
It's like a one-horse open sleigh.
( angry snort ) Let's cover as much ground as possible.
Yah, Minimus! Whoo! Now this is the way to travel.
Oh, I just love feeling the wind through my sticks.
Everything looks so small up here.
Oh, look, a carrot.
Oh.
Oh, wait.
- Oh, that's my nose! - Olaf! I'm okay!! We have to get him, Minimus.
Still okay! Ooh, nice view.
Faster, faster.
- Where did he go? - BOY: He needs a scarf.
GIRL: Here, use mine.
Oh, no.
Which snowman is Olaf? - Hey, that's my snowman.
- Oh, sorry.
That's not him.
Nope.
Not that one.
Not this one either.
MAN: Kids, dinner.
I wanted to put a snowdrop in my snowman's hair.
Well, we don't have any snowdrops anymore, and we're probably not even going to have the festival.
But that's the most fun night of the whole year.
I'll find a flower for you.
( both scream ) A talking snowman! Or I could just stay here if you want.
There's where Olaf.
What were you doing? Trying to make some new friends.
But these guys don't talk much.
- So where to? - To find Miss Nettle.
But I still have no idea where she went.
Oh, even if we find Miss Nettle, I don't know how I can stop her without my amulet's magic.
You know, Queen Elsa has all kinds of magic, but it still took Princess Anna to show her how to unfreeze Arendelle, and Anna doesn't have any powers, except that she never gives up, and she has a big heart.
Those aren't magic powers, Olaf.
I know, Sofia.
They're better.
Hmm.
Maybe you're right.
I guess I have to try.
That's the spirit.
Now let's go find that wicked fairy.
Ooh, look, here comes one now.
No, that's just my friend Hildegard.
Hildy! Sofia, is that you? Well, if you came for the winter flower festival, I have terrible news.
The snowdrops are vanishing.
It's okay.
We know who took them.
( gasps ) You have a talking snowman? This is my friend Olaf.
Hi.
This is my friend Sofia.
He's so I want one.
Right now.
Are you sure she's not the wicked fairy? Hildegard, about the flowers.
Miss Nettle is the one taking them.
That evil fairy who caused all those problems at Royal Prep? Why would she do that? I don't know, but she's stealing all of them.
Have you seen her? No.
I've been looking all over the kingdom for flowers, and I haven't seen anything but snow.
This is just what Freezenberg used to look like before that royal gardener brought us our beautiful snowdrops.
I can't believe they're almost gone.
What do you mean almost? Well, we still have a few growing in the royal gardens near the castle, but not enough for a festival.
Did you hear that? There are still flowers left, and wherever there are flowers There are bees.
No.
Wherever there are flowers, we'll find Miss Nettle.
I'm going back to the castle.
I've got to tell Daddy about this.
We'll meet you there.
Yah, Minimus.
This time, you have to hold on, Olaf.
Oh, trust me, I will.
I told you, I like warm hugs.
Come with me, my beautiful flowers.
Mine, all mine.
Dance into my bag, my fine flowers.
Now I don't like to label people, but I believe I see another wicked fairy.
Miss Nettle.
Ooh, look at all those pretty flowers.
I need to tell Miss Nettle how important these flowers are to Freezenberg, and I need to do it fast.
She's about to take the very last snowdrop.
I'll stop her.
- Olaf! - ( yelling ) What is that? Oh, look at me.
I'm a frozen treat.
Who's up there? Get off of me! That doesn't look right.
Stop right there, Miss Nettle.
Oh, it's you again.
Actually, I don't believe we've had the pleasure.
- I'm Olaf.
- Hmm.
Please just listen to me before you take that last snowdrop.
Why should I do that? Because these flowers mean so much to the people of Freezenberg.
Well, maybe they mean a lot to me.
Did you ever think of that? No.
I didn't.
It's always been a dream of mine To create the most fabulous flower I toiled for years in my greenhouse Till I grew one that showed off my power This bloom could burst through ice and snow A sight so thrilling to see It was gorgeous, it was tough It was exactly like me My finest flower A precious work of art My finest flower So cold, you warmed my heart I didn't know you created the snowdrop.
Nobody knows.
That's the problem.
It would've been my masterpiece Such a breathtaking floral creation That rulers from every kingdom Would have given a standing ovation But then one day, to my dismay I found my flowers were gone Not one petal, not one seed I wept and I wept until dawn The royal gardener of Freezenberg.
He was sent to find a flower that would grow through the snow.
Oh, he found one, all right.
And then he took it.
My finest flower Was taken in its prime My finest flower Oh, what a cold-hearted crime Every year, they throw a bash But do they invite me? No, ma'am They have no idea That I made their dear flower And they don't even know Who I am Oh, you poor, misunderstood wicked fairy.
Yes indeed.
I'm not stealing anything.
I'm simply taking back what was mine.
But if you take all the snowdrops, there won't be any more flowers in Freezenberg.
- Too bad for them.
- I can't let you do it.
Well, you have no choice.
No! Very aggressive vines.
There.
Now I've got every last snowdrop in the kingdom.
So long, princess.
Tell your Freezenberg friends to think twice before they meddle with Miss Nettle.
Ooh, this bag is really messing with my dramatic exit.
( straining ) I can't get free.
I thought I could stop her without the magic powers from my amulet.
But I can't.
Look on the bright side.
At least that fairy got her flowers back.
Why is that the bright side? Because now maybe she'll be happy, like when Elsa saw how much Anna loved her, and she started feeling good inside instead of bad, and all the ice melted.
It was like summer, and everyone was happy, and I almost melted.
You're right, Olaf.
I've been thinking about this all wrong.
I'm supposed to make sure this story has a happy ending for everyone.
including Miss Nettle.
I know what I need to do.
But I can't get out of these binds.
Don't be sad, Sofia.
You almost made a happy ending.
I know, but Olaf, you're free! Would you look at that! Quick, untie us.
King Henrik, Hildegard.
Sofia, I told you.
We're not having a festival tonight.
My father was just about to cancel it.
I don't know why that evil fairy stole all our precious snowdrops.
Her name is Miss Nettle, and she said that your royal gardener stole them from her years ago when you sent him to find a flower for Freezenberg.
It really hurt Miss Nettle's feelings that no one ever thanked her for the flowers.
I'm hoping, well, if you thank her now, then maybe she won't be angry anymore.
Why, of course I'll thank her.
If she created the snowdrops, we certainly owe her our gratitude.
Show me where she is.
I'm not sure exactly where she is.
She flew off as soon as she got all the snowdrops.
I suppose she has no reason to come back now.
But she didn't get all the flowers.
Ah! Did that snowman just talk?! This is the one I was telling you about, Daddy.
Can I have one? Did you say Miss Nettle didn't take all the snowdrops? She missed this one right here.
I noticed it a minute ago.
It must've gotten stuck in my snow when I rolled down that hill.
Things stick to me a lot because I'm made of snow.
This is perfect.
We can use this to get Miss Nettle to come back.
Don't call off the festival yet, Your Majesty.
Just tell everyone to gather here, and wait for me.
Come back, Miss Nettle.
You left one snowdrop behind.
- What?! - You didn't get them all.
Hand it over this instant, you rude little princess.
( laughing ) What are those fools doing? They can't have a festival without any flowers.
They know that, but they came here anyway because the king has something to say to you.
I understand that you are the very talented fairy who created our beloved snowdrop.
I most certainly was.
Why? Good people of Freezenberg, it was revealed to me today that this fine fairy, Miss Nettle, is the creator of the beautiful snowdrop, the only flower strong enough to grow in our fair, frozen kingdom.
That's my favorite flower! Oh, well It just took some tinkering in my enchanted greenhouse.
Well, it is the most magnificent flower I have ever seen.
It's the first flower every child learns to draw.
It is? And everyone who gets married in Freezenberg does so under a canopy of snowdrops.
They do? We all owe you a great deal of thanks for giving us so much joy for so many years.
On this festive day, I honor you, Miss Nettle, the most remarkable fairy in all the world! ( applause and cheering ) Thank you.
Thank you so much.
So, Miss Nettle, do you think you can give Freezenberg back its flowers? Well, I suppose I could return some of them.
Uh-uh.
We'll only accept the snowdrops back on one condition.
Oh? What's that? That from now on, instead of calling them snowdrops, you let us call them nettledrops, so that we may always remember the kind fairy who gave them to us.
Nettledrops! Oh, take them all! Take them all! And just to make things even more fabulous, decorata floriana! Thank you.
We've never had such a marvelous winter flower festival.
( laughs ) See? Everyone's happy.
( coughs ) I suppose you are the one who is responsible for all this.
Yes, and I'm really glad you finally got all the credit you deserve.
It's about time, don't you think? Thank you, for all that you did, Sofia.
You're very welcome.
Now maybe there's something you can help me with.
( sighs ) All I do is give and give.
Okay, what is it? Ever since your crazy crystals fell on my amulet, it's been acting funny.
That's what crazy crystals do.
- Can you fix it? - Can I fix it? Haven't you heard? I'm the most wondrous fairy in the world! Of course I can.
Thank you.
Now, I'm going back to my party, if you don't mind.
Ta-ta! Hello, my public! I am back! Did you miss me? Minimus, say something.
I am freezing! Yes! My amulet's working again.
I'm so happy.
Oh, I better tell him.
Olaf, my amulet's fixed.
( gasps ) That's great! So you'll probably be able to go home now.
Oh.
Oh, I guess that's great, too.
What's wrong? Well, I know I was supposed to come and give you good advice, but I didn't really have any good advice to give.
Olaf, you reminded me that having a big heart and never giving up are more important than having magical powers.
That's just about the best advice I've ever gotten.
Really? I guess it was pretty good, wasn't it? Yes.
And I really meant that "stay from fire" thing, too.
( giggles ) I will.
Uh, what's happening? I I think you're going back.
I like warm hugs.
That's funny.
So do I.
Bye! I hope your amulet breaks again soon so I can come back and visit! Bye, Olaf.
Now for the grand finale.
Florius pluvia! And that is how the people of Freezenberg and Miss Nettle came to celebrate their winter flower festival together, so that all could enjoy the beautiful nettledrop.
