All Hell Breaks Loose, Part 2

Remember, Sam? You used to ask me when you were little: "How come we don't have a mom?" "How come Dad doesn't come home for days at a time once he takes off?" You were so innocent and precious.
I decided I would protect you and keep you safe.
But [CRYING.]
I blew it.
I'm sorry I couldn't protect you.
I couldn't protect anyone in the end.
Tell me, Sammy, how can I make it up to you? [DOOR OPENS.]
Dean.
I hate to say this but we can't leave him like this forever.
We have to bury Sam.
DEAN: No.
We have things we have to do now.
Let's go kill the yellow-eyed demon.
You and me.
DEAN: What's the point? Sam's dead! You know that? It's over! - Dean! - Just leave us alone! [VOICE BREAKING.]
Please, Bobby.
[DOOR CREAKING.]
DEMON: I'm sorry, but that sorry little soul of yours isn't even worth that much.
Now go bury little Sam before he rots.
DEAN: Okay, one year, then.
A year! How's a year? DEMON: It's a fire sale and everything must go, is that it? You're really sexy when you're desperate, you know that? What do you say? Okay, one year plus Sam's life.
That much I can say yes to.
But, listen, if you try to weasel your way out of this, deal's off.
Sam drops dead, and he's back to rotten meat in no time.
So, what do you say? It's a deal.
[ANIMALS HOOTING AND HOWLING.]
[FIRE CRACKLING.]
YELLOW-EYED DEMON: What's the matter? I think you won the survival game.
You should be happier.
You'll be the leader of my army.
You think I'm just going to follow you blindly? I'm gonna kill you right here and right now! [GRUNTING.]
[MOANING.]
[CHOKING.]
YELLOW-EYED DEMON: I am the one who gave you your power.
You go against me, and you're not the only one to die.
Do you know why your family at home didn't end up dying that day? You think Sam and his brother saved them? [YELLOW-EYED DEMON LAUGHS.]
No.
That's not it.
It's only because I decided not to kill them.
I could easily wipe out your family right now from here.
Stop it! [COUGHING AND GASPING.]
What do you want me to do? [GRUNTING [GASPS.]
SAM: The wound is healed! What's going on? [DOOR OPENS.]
[FOOTSTEPS.]
DEAN: Sam.
Sam! Dean My wound [DEAN SOBBING.]
Hey, Dean? Dean? [TYPING.]
BOBBY [THINKING.]
: The signs of demons were inactive for the past month.
But they became active since the day Sam was kidnapped.
That's odd.
The southern part of Wyoming is completely void of any signs.
SAM: Missouri was killed too? DEAN: Yeah, I guess they're gonna kill anyone and everyone who helps us out.
DEAN: The battle is just around the corner.
We can't avoid it.
Get some rest now.
I'm all right.
It's hard to believe that I'm not bleeding anymore.
It was such a massive injury.
Thanks to Bobby.
It probably helped that he gave you first aid immediately.
First aid immediately? By the way, what happened exactly? How come Jake was there? It's a survival game.
Survival game? Yeah, the yellow-eyed demon planned it all.
He said he'd make the sole survivor the leader of his army.
So Jake went along with that and attacked you? Damn it! I'm gonna find him and tear him to pieces! There was supposed to be only one survivor.
I wonder why both Jake and I got out of that town alive.
He's probably convinced that you died.
Hey Wouldn't it be better if you waited out here? You should rest.
SAM: No.
[CLATTERING.]
Oh.
[CAR DOOR OPENS THEN CLOSES.]
SAM: Bobby.
- Sam? - Thanks for patching me up.
Oh, well, sure.
Are you all right? Sort of.
I see.
[MUTTERING.]
Hey, Bobby.
BOBBY: Dean, I'll fix the passenger seat for you.
Give me a hand.
DEAN: Sure.
Sam, go in and analyze the data I collected.
SAM: All right.
BOBBY: You stupid ass! Did you make a deal with the demon? What have you done?! [BOBBY GRUNTS.]
DEAN: I was supposed to be dead a long time ago.
If Dad hadn't brought me back, I wouldn't be here.
This is a gift.
At least this way, I could be useful.
It's like my life can mean something.
What, you've been thinking that way all along? Do you have that low of an opinion of yourself? When did you become such a loser, man? DEAN: I wanted to bring Sam back.
He's my only brother, you know.
BOBBY: You ass! How's he gonna feel when he finds out? You can't tell him.
Please, Bobby.
It's my job to kill that yellow-eyed demon.
I'll be the one to protect Sam.
[SOBBING.]
[VEHICLE APPROACHING.]
- Were you expecting a guest? - Hell, no! Who the hell is that? Hold it, Dean.
[GASPS.]
DEAN: Missouri! MISSOURI: Sam! [GASPS.]
MISSOURI: So happy to see you! Good to know that my predictions can be off.
SAM: Dean, what's going on? We used holy water to check her out.
She's the real deal.
She was spared because she was outside the house talking to me on the phone.
The burned body we found belonged to her friend who happened to come by her house that day.
SAM: Missouri, I'm sorry.
Another innocent person was victimized.
Don't be.
We have no time to mourn right now.
What this means is we are getting closer and closer to what he's really up to.
[GASPS.]
MISSOURI: This wound SAM: The yellow-eyed demon took me to Gold Creek and Jake stabbed you, didn't he? I'm touching it myself.
I can see that much very clearly.
On top of that my prediction was accurate after all.
He is in Wyoming right now.
Did you say Wyoming? SAM: That's one place where there are no signs of demons, according to Bobby's data.
DEAN: What are those crosses on the map? They are all churches built in the 19th century by Samuel Colt.
If I remember correctly, he built railway lines connecting the churches.
They're not on the map, though.
Sam, connect the churches and display the lines.
SAM: It's a giant pentagram.
DEAN: Brilliant.
Train tracks are made of iron.
Demons can't cross them.
MISSOURI: The yellow-eyed demon must be using Jake to break the seal.
Let's go before it's too late! YELLOW-EYED DEMON: Did you have a nice trip? I'm here as you asked.
What do I do now? YELLOW-EYED DEMON: Eighty kilometers that way there's a cemetery.
I'd like you to open a crypt there for me.
JAKE: This is? It's a Colt.
This is the key to opening the crypt.
Okay, Jake.
Squeeze that trigger.
That gun can kill anyone.
But you need to be prepared to see the brutal deaths of your family.
If you open the crypt I promise.
You'll lead a life that you couldn't even dream of.
JAKE: And bring the world to an end? YELLOW-EYED DEMON: No, not the end.
The beginning.
A new world, Jake.
So, what'll it be? You shoot me, or you make your family happy? It's your last chance.
[GRUNTS THEN SIGHS.]
JAKE [THINKING.]
: Grandma Lynn Did I make the right decision? If I lived an honest life and was able to get ahead, I wouldn't ask for more.
But look at the reality.
I just wanna protect my family.
SAM: Stop right there! Sam, is that you? You're supposed to be dead.
Yeah, but I'm alive.
JAKE: There's no way! SAM: Drop the gun, Jake.
You can't get away.
Just do as we say, son.
Jake! JAKE: No.
We're not bluffing.
If you don't drop the gun, we'll shoot you dead.
JAKE: What would I get then? The yellow-eyed demon promised happiness for my family if I open the crypt.
What makes you think you can trust him? Who do you say I can trust, then? Sam, deep down, I'm sort of relieved to know that you are still alive.
God might have given me another chance to start over, to make up for my mistakes.
But what other options did I have at that time? Should I have been dead? As long as I can be free from my hellish life I couldn't care less if I deal with gods or demons.
DEAN: Shut up, you son of a bitch.
How can you justify your actions? Don't even think I've forgiven you! Dean! Don't do it! [YELLING.]
[GASPS.]
[GASPS.]
Sam! [MUTTERS.]
[GASPS.]
[GASPS.]
Sam.
[WHIMPERING.]
[GRUNTING.]
Stop it, Sam! SAM: Enough is enough! Sam! Sam, stop it! Sam! [RUMBLING.]
Holy shit! Everyone, hide! Sam! [GRUNTING.]
What just happened? It's Devil's Gate.
The gate to hell just flew open! We have to shut it! Damn it! Gate to Hell? [SAM AND MISSOURI GRUNTING.]
SAM: Dean! DEAN [THINKING.]
: I can feel it.
Where is he? DEAN You bastard! [GRUNTING.]
Dean! Dean! [GRUNTING.]
Be patient.
You're just as good as I expected.
Watch this from up there.
SAM: Damn it! I can't move my body! YELLOW-EYED DEMON: I gotta thank you, Dean.
Demons can't resurrect the dead, no matter how hard they try.
But thanks to you, Sam is back.
It wasn't in my original plan, but I'm pleased with the result.
You just saw Sam back there, beating Jake to death.
DEAN: I'm gonna kill you! Oh, my.
You scare me.
But, unfortunately, we seem to be out of time.
It's all over for you now.
Thanks for your help.
[GRUNTING.]
DEAN: Dad? Dad! [GRUNTING.]
[GASPING.]
DEAN: Dad? SAM: Dad! [SAM AND DEAN GRUNTING.]
DEAN: It's over.
Mom, we got the enemy.
Mom, we got the enemy.
You can rest now.
[SIGHS.]
I'm exhausted.
Dad got out of hell, didn't he? Just what we'd expect from our dad.
SAM: And How long do you have? DEAN: What do you mean? SAM: Just tell me.
A year.
I have a year to live.
You shouldn't have done that.
You shouldn't have made the deal! My job was to save your life.
Anyway, thanks for your help.
You risked your life to save me.
From now on, I'll protect you at all costs.
BOBBY: All right.
It's fixed.
Your Chevy's still in good shape.
Listen, Sam.
Dean.
The yellow-eyed demon might be dead, but a whole lot more got out of that gate.
DEAN: Like how many? One hundred? Maybe 200? He's unleashed an army.
MISSOURI: That's right.
Hope to hell you boys are ready.
- Because the war has just begun.
- Yeah.
[English - US - SDH.]
- Because the war has just begun.
- Yeah.
[English - US - SDH.]
[English - US - SDH.]
We know all too well.
