Hey, Master Splinter, want to watch Bad-tempered Vegetable Zombies from Mars? No, thank you, Michelangelo.
I have already read the book.
But I do want to see April's live news report.
Sure, sensei.
We've seen that movie six times anyway.
True.
But you can't see a great classic like that too many times.
Quiet down, guys.
Here's April.
This is April O'Neil for Channel 6 News, reporting live from the first international conference on global warming.
I have with me Professor Higgins, an expert on this most serious crisis facing the world.
Can you tell us about it, Professor? Certainly.
The Earth's temperature is gradually increasing.
If it continues, the world's sea level will rise, and your nice beachfront house will rapidly decline in property value.
That does sound serious.
What can we do to prevent it, Professor? I haven't a clue, Miss O'Neil.
And now back to our studio.
Leaders of the world, this is Shredder.
If you do not surrender to me-- And to me, Krang the Magnificent.
To both of us, you will face global warming on a scale you have not yet begun to imagine.
I will be at the United World Plaza at noon tomorrow to present the terms of your surrender.
That's Oroku.
That's my son.
If he's going to conquer the world, I want a piece of it.
Have a seat, Grandma.
Nobody leaves the Fort Lauderdale Home for Retired Villains.
Well, there's always a first time, punk.
Whoa! Tomorrow I will demonstrate to you just how hot it will get if you defy me.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha! Fellas, this is serious.
You're right.
We've already missed half of Bad-tempered Vegetable Zombies from Mars.
[KRANG.]
This plan of yours had better work, Shredder.
Building this solar mirror satellite, putting it in orbit, it takes energy.
As soon as the people of Earth surrender, you will have all the energy you need! Yes, well, I've heard that before.
The satellite is in position.
Deploy the mirror.
Mirror deployed.
Now open the portal.
Hold on.
I'll give the orders here.
[SHREDDER.]
It's working.
The mirror is reflecting the sunlight through the portal.
Hey, it's getting warm.
[APRIL.]
Without warning, an incredible heat wave has struck the world.
Scientists are at a loss to explain this occurrence, and concern mounts as the mountain snow pack is melting by the hour.
This is amazing.
It's almost Ah, totally frigidoso.
Let's see what's going on up top.
And there is apparently no explanation for this unseasonably warm weather.
But the threat from arch-villain Shredder has scientists worried.
Is this the demonstration he promised? That's right, Miss O'Neil.
This is it.
And it's going to get even hotter.
Already, demands on your electrical power supplies have pushed generating plants to the limit, and water supplies are dangerously low.
I demand that the world's leaders meet with me in one hour, or the world will face catastrophe.
Come on, fellas.
We've got to stop Shredder.
Gnarly notion, dude, but, uh, where do we go? A place where world leaders hang out: the United World Building.
Now to bring the people of Earth to their knees.
I'm glad you're on time.
Here are my demands.
First, all world governments will surrender to me.
Second-- We have met, and we have decided not to give in to your demands, Shredder.
You what? Oroku, sonny.
Mother? W-What--I-- Are you so busy you can't send your mother a postcard? This is not the time.
Give me a hug, sonny.
Never mind.
Even a mother would know you in that outfit.
Aw.
Ain't that sweet? Yeah.
Maybe I ought to send my mother a postcard.
You will pay for this insolence.
Earth will pay.
Come on, sonny.
Let's blow this joint.
Mother, wait.
Y-You can't--Ow! Hi, guys.
You just missed Shredder.
He left through a portal.
And get this: he had his mother with him.
Shredder has a mother? I just tracked down the source of that heat ray, guys.
It's coming from a portal in space.
Unless we can get into space, we have no way of shutting it down.
I might be able to help you.
I've got a friend in the space travel business.
[APRIL.]
And that's the story, General Yogurt.
Can you help us? Well, Miss O'Neil, I don't ordinarily carry mutant Turtles as passengers, But since we're saving the world, and it's for you, sure.
All right, dudes! It's astro surfing time! You may need this, my student.
An abacus? But, Master Splinter, the shuttle has all kinds of computers.
Even the most sophisticated devices may fail, but you can always rely on this.
Good luck.
Thank you, sensei.
You fellas okay? I don't know about anyone else, but I'm feeling a little bit spaced out.
So this is where you live, sonny.
How do you like it? What a dump.
Shredder, who is this woman? Uhmymother.
This needs a woman's touch: curtains on these view screens.
Don't touch that.
So this is your heat ray.
Teach those weasels a lesson: fry 'em! Say, brainy, why don't you show me how to work this stuff later? Hmm, maybe you're not so bad.
I don't care much for your choice in friends, sonny: one all-brain and two no-brains.
There it is! That's the portal! How are we gonna get past hat heat ray? I've been watching that thing.
Every little while, a beam goes out for a minute or so.
They probably have to adjust the mirror to compensate for the Earth's movement.
Right.
So that's when I kick this baby into overdrive and scoot her right through that squiggly thing.
Wow.
That leaves us only a half-second margin of error.
And if we miss, fried Turtles.
[DONATELLO.]
I'll get the computer data for you, General.
Ooh, it's gettin' hot.
What's that computer say, son? Something's wrong.
The computer's not responding.
Must be the heat.
I'll have to fly this thing in by the seat of my pants.
We're directly in the beam! We'll be cooked like pizzas in a flying oven! Aah! Aah! Aah! It's no good, boys.
Without computer guidance, I can't see my way to the portal.
It's too hot.
The computers aren't working.
We'll be burnt to a crisp in a minute.
An abacus? Master Splinter said we might need it.
Got it.
General, give it full thrust for 3.
7 seconds, and angle right starting now.
[GENERAL.]
We made it, boys.
Just in time.
There's the technodrome.
[CRASH.]
What's wrong? The landing guidance system.
It must have gotten knocked out with all that heat.
That's okay.
I really didn't want to land anyway.
Oh, we're gonna land, boys.
It just may be in several pieces.
Good landing, General.
Any landing you can walk away from-- Is a good landing.
Right.
Can you get her flying again, General? You boys go take care of this Shredder fella.
I'll get this shuttle ready to fly in no time.
Great, because that's about how much time we have.
I've turned up the heat! Ha ha ha ha! Good work, Krang.
Now those world leaders will be sorry they were rude to my little boy.
Mother, I'm Shredder now.
Of course you are, sonny.
Turn it up some more.
Make real baked Alaska.
Ha ha ha ha ha! Now, this is a woman I could get to like, if I liked anyone.
We've got to disconnect the antenna that controls that solar mirror.
Krang can repair the antenna.
We'll have to put the mirror out of commission, too.
Right, but we need to buy some time for Earth.
We'll deal with that later.
[BEEPING.]
There's the antenna.
Better start climbing, dudes.
Cowabunga! See? You can't even get the beat of four miserable Turtles.
Turtles? Oh, I'll take care of them once and for all.
Rocksteady! Bebop! What a jerk.
Going off without a thought in his head.
[LAUGHING.]
Let the Turtles come to us, sonny! Krang, do you have some soldiers handy? As many as you need.
Now we take this antenna and-- What's going on? Maybe the dudes know we're here.
Another antenna! Krang must be switching frequencies to keep anyone from jamming the signal.
Let the dudes try and stop that jamming.
Can we go home now? Hey-yah! Look out! Laser blasters! Aah! Aah! Aah! Aah! We're inside the technodrome.
Now to get to the mirror controls.
[ZAPPING.]
Now what? Foot soldiers, that's what! All right, Turtles, Plan B! Right, dude.
[IN UNISON.]
Turtle power! You know, they just don't make foot soldiers like they used to.
Lucky for us.
[ALARM BLARES.]
Let's find that computer link to the solar mirror.
So much for that plan, Mother.
The Turtles destroyed your antenna.
Mmph.
Silly boy.
Krang let them destroy a dummy antenna.
Now you've got them where you want them.
See, silly boy? You should listen to your mother.
Krang, what's this? The technodrome's garbage compactor.
Perfect.
Sonny, send Bebop and Rocksteady after the Turtles.
Those numbskulls couldn't catch a cold.
I know.
That's why I'm sending them.
Boy, are you slow.
Ohh! Oh, Master Splinter, I'm worried.
If the Turtles don't stop Shredder's heat ray soon, the Earth will burn to a crisp.
I know.
This is a time of grave danger for us all.
But the Turtles will not fail.
At least I certainly hope not.
[SNORT.]
Hey, shell-backs! It's Bebop and Rocksteady! We noticed.
It's play time, Turtles! Come on.
We can take 'em.
There's no time.
We've got to get to the computer room.
Which way is it? You got me.
Right.
They seriously expect us to buy that? Unless you've got a better idea.
Oh! Yow! Them Turtles pack a punch.
Uh-oh.
Dead end! Listen, maybe if we explain to Rocksteady and Bebop that we came the wrong way, they'll let us start over again.
It's a trap! On the other hand, maybe not.
Pew! This place smells like a garbage dump.
Wrong.
It's a trash compactor.
I resent this.
We may be poor, but we're not trash.
Come on, guys.
Uhhn! This thing is gonna crush us.
Uhh! It's no use.
We can't stop it.
Didn't we do this in another episode? [GRUNTING.]
Great.
We're gonna be Turtle pancakes! Awesome notion: Aah! Come on, guys.
This way leads to the central computer.
How do you know? "This way leads to the central computer.
" Oh, get real, dude.
We already fell for that once this episode.
This time it'll be different.
I promise.
Turtle power! The Turtles! Krang, call out the foot soldiers.
Those terrible green creatures again.
I'll have to destroy them.
Foot soldiers alert! No! I won't have you making a mess in here.
But, Mother, these Turtles aren't going to stand still while we fry their planet.
Oh, yes, they are.
Look out! A force field! Hi-yah! It's too powerful! Total bummer.
We're trapped! Finally! The conquest of Earth and the defeat of the Turtles, and it was accomplished by Shredder's mother! Ohh! Shredder, don't be angry.
I'm sure we can find work for you, perhaps cleaning or cooking! Ha ha ha ha ha! General Yogurt is still free.
Maybe he can help us.
Donatello calling General Yogurt.
Come in.
I'm in, but I can't do you much good.
How did they catch you? I got worried about you boys, so I came looking for you.
There was this sign over a door: "This way to the Turtles," so I went in.
These lugs grabbed me.
You fell for that sign bit, too.
I always like a man in uniform.
Keep an eye on him.
This is April O'Neil.
The city, like the rest of the world, is sizzling.
In Los Angeles, the desert has reclaimed the city, and the populace is fleeing.
The latest news is that the polar ice caps are melting.
Even this reporter has been forced to make changes.
Ha ha ha ha! I love it.
Earth barbecued.
Dudes, are we just gonna hang here all day and watch Mother Unnatural overcook our planet? Now that you mention it, no.
But we need a diversion.
General, Shredder's mother seems to like you.
What if you find out how this force field works? I gotcha.
Say, did anyone ever tell you you're a whiz at this stuff? You think so? My son never appreciated me.
That's a real shame.
He doesn't deserve a mother like you.
But how'd you figure out all this? Simple.
This controls the satellite, this operates the force field, this one the screens.
Let me see if I got this right.
This one works the screens? Don't touch that! Good work, General! Oh, the Turtles got loose.
Let's get 'em! Aah! Mutants.
Works every time.
Uhh! Hold on there, lady.
[ALARM BLARES.]
Attack a poor defenseless woman, will you? Bring her over here, General.
Let me out of here, you bullies! Guys, keep an eye on the door while the general and I figure a way to wreck that heat ray.
Hurry up, you guys.
How can we destroy that mirror? There's a solar mirror left over from the Star Wars project in Earth orbit.
Right.
We can use that mirror to reflect that heat ray back through the portal, and wreck Krang's mirror.
You catch on fast, boy.
If I can just reposition it so that it intercepts Krang's heat ray, then reflect it back to its source.
It worked! Hurry, you fools! Worried about your mother, boss? No.
I'm worried about the solar mirror.
Now you will pay.
Oroku, get me out of here! Mother? The portal is gonna close in two minutes.
I managed to get the shuttle working just before those two uglies grabbed me.
Then let's hit the road, dudes.
I didn't have time to test this thing, boys.
So let's give it a field test now.
[GENERAL.]
It's gonna be close.
We're not gonna make it! We made it! [CHEERING.]
We can't let the Turtles get away with this! First things first, sonny.
No one is going anywhere until this place is cleaned up.
Right, Mother.
Your mutants missed a spot.
Anything you say, Mother.
My son the arch-villain.
Ha! Enough! Shredder, you're not done! Where are you going? I'm not going anywhere, Mother, but you are.
No! Wait! Ha ha ha ha ha! Children.
They never appreciate their mothers.
The temperature around the world has returned to normal, and once again our world is safe.
This is April O'Neil for Channel 6 News.
Once again, we saved the world, and do we get any credit? No! Well, maybe we could get General Yogurt to give us a medal.
Face it, guys.
We'll never be in the limelight.
But at least we know our technology is superior to Krang's.
And this very old technology is superior to the new.
