The Amazing Race (2001) s33e02 Episode Script

It Can't Be That Easy

1 It's so good to be back.
We know how much you have missed The Amazing Race, and believe me, we have missed making it for you.
Tonight's episode was filmed before the outbreak of COVID-19, which prompted us to suspend shooting at the end of the third leg.
I am excited to tell you that after a long break, we did finish shooting this season, and once again, the world is waiting for you, so sit back, relax and enjoy The Amazing Race.
All across America, 11 teams from all walks of life are packing up to head out on an epic adventure.
- That's just for style.
- You got to stay stylish on the run.
You got to bring two pair of shoes.
We've seen racers lose a pair of shoes.
Yay, my size 11s fit.
- We got a message.
- All right.
- It's Phil.
- It's Phil.
You're about to embark on a race around the world.
- Cool! - My God! Your first clue is hidden in London, England here at Trafalgar Square.
- Yeah! - Yeah! - What? - London! When I say go, grab your bags and make your way to the nearest airport to catch a flight.
My God, it's starting.
The world is waiting for you.
Good luck.
Travel safe.
- Here it is.
- He's gonna say "Go.
" Go! - Go! Here we go.
- Bye.
Go.
- Come on.
Go, go.
- My God.
You gonna be great in practice, all right? - All right.
- Do your thing.
- Bye, Meemaw.
Te quiero.
- Bye.
Mwah.
- He said "go.
" - Come on, let's go.
Got to get to LAX.
Let's go.
It's starting.
- Bye, baby.
- Bye.
- Go! Go! - Okay, okay, okay, come on.
- Go! - Bye! - Let's go.
- Yes.
London, here we go.
Let's go.
Come on.
All right, we need to get to LAX.
Yeah, so, we going to JFK in New York.
Take us to the airport.
Thank you.
Airport as fast as possible.
We're in a race.
- I can't believe it.
- I cannot believe it.
- My gosh.
This is happening now.
- Now.
- Like right now.
- Straight to London.
We're gonna have some tea and some some biscuits and stuff like that.
- My gosh.
- It's go time.
I've got butterflies all in my belly.
We're going to London! Place we've already been.
We're gonna win a million dollars.
- 100%.
We're calling it now.
- Wow.
It sounds like they're saying We think it says "oatmeal.
" Is that what the word is? I have never been to London.
We're so excited.
Buckingham Palace? I wonder if we're gonna go there and meet the royals, the queen.
Hey! We're going to London! We have been to London before.
So we have some bearing of where things are.
I am actually excited.
I know these are tears.
I'm gonna I'm gonna miss my kids madly, but I am excited and a little terrified.
See ya, Jersey.
I'm out of here.
We've never been out of the country, so London, England.
I'm gonna get my accent right.
Just being able to have the kids of Newark watch people that look like them, sound like them go see parts of the world, no, this is, like, surreal.
We met in college.
We both played basketball.
And we've been married for 17 years.
I started off teaching elementary school, and I became an administrator in high school.
Then we got the news that I was going to West Side, and at West Side there was violence, drugs, guns.
It literally was the worst school in the state of New Jersey.
So I said, "You know what? I'm gonna open up my school from 6:00 p.
m.
to 11:00 p.
m.
to be a safe haven for them.
" There it is I run the kitchen.
On any given night, we can feed 300 to 500 people.
We named the program Lights On, and then.
Oprah Winfrey came and gave us $500,000.
Since we started the Lights On program during the school year, I haven't lost any more kids to gun violence.
- All right, let's go.
- Thank you.
I think I see some people.
- What's up? - How you doing? - How's it going? - What's your name? - Taylor.
- What's yours? - Isaiah.
Isaiah.
- Isaiah.
Spencer.
- So, what's y'all's story? - Yeah.
- Just best friends, basically.
- Yeah.
We've known each other since we were 12, actually.
So we've-we've traveled together a lot.
In, like, 2015, we were backpacking through Europe, and that terrorist was on the train that we were on.
- What? - Wow.
We turned around to see a shirtless man holding an AK-47.
I decided to run at him, and he pointed the gun at me, pulled the trigger.
It didn't go off.
I tackled him.
He hit me in the face with the gun.
You know, busted my face open pretty good.
At that moment, thoughts just took over my head - just to help my friend.
- You know, me and Anthony are just punching him, kicking him.
And I was finally able to choke him unconscious.
He sliced me up a couple of times, and - With a knife? - With a box cutter.
Almost cut my thumb off.
Life was just insane right after the attack.
Within 24 hours, it was international news.
We got the Legion of Honor from the French president.
Clint Eastwood decided to make, um, a movie about it The 15:17 to Paris.
We even acted in the movie as ourselves.
The things we've been through and what we've experienced I would say we have a closer bond than any relationship here.
It's only right that we're doing this together.
Wow.
Like, I can I can even thank y'all.
I wasn't there, but, geez, y'all saved a lot of people, man.
- Thank you.
- That's amazing.
- Got it? - Yup.
Go.
Go, go, go, go, go.
Someone else is here.
Another team is here.
We have some friends.
So, I want to know everything about you.
So, we are flight attendants.
- You're hot flight attendants.
- Yeah, that's the thing.
- My gosh.
- No, no, it's just No, it's more like we're a hot mess.
- Hot mess flight attendants.
- Flight attendants.
Cayla and I met at work in training.
- We literally just hit it off.
- Instant connection.
We were kind of two peas in a pod.
Raquel was like, "Anyone need to go get some wine?" And I was like, "Her.
" - I want to be friends with you.
- I mean, we love what we do, but we don't make a lot of money.
Even more incentive to want to win The Amazing Race.
I think being flight attendants, there's a lot of advantages.
You know, it's the common sense stuff of, like, navigating through airports, navigating through cities you've never been in before.
People are gonna underestimate the heck out of us.
I want you to think I'm this girl that's like, "My God, I broke a nail.
I can't do this.
" I had to take mine down, which is so unfortunate.
They're disgusting now.
- What's the relationship here? - Childhood friends - since 24 years roughly, so - Yup.
- That's awesome! - Yeah.
So-so-so so what did you guys do? - So, right? - It's what we didn't do, like I was actually wrongfully convicted of a crime I didn't commit, obviously.
- Really? - Wrongfully convicted, yeah.
When I was 19, I was leaving school.
I was surrounded by a SWAT team.
They arrested me for murder of a person that I had never seen, that I had never talked to.
I thought, "Okay, you're gonna interrogate me, "see I wasn't there, and then I'm gonna go home and take midterms.
" I didn't go home for a decade.
The fact that Dusty stuck by me that whole time was the most incredible thing I can imagine.
It was a no-brainer for me.
He's like my brother.
What happened to me has happened to so many other people.
Part of the reason that I'm here I want to humanize the wrongfully convicted individuals who don't have a voice.
We could not be more excited to run the race.
It's an opportunity to make up for lost time.
- All right.
- Yeah, let's do it, man.
So we've got to keep our eye on everybody.
Obviously, we're not underestimating anybody, you know, but we got our eyes open, man.
- We're racing.
Yeah.
- Game on, baby.
- Game on.
- No turning back.
Hey, it's Lulu and Lala.
Headed to London.
What are we gonna be doing? Stay tuned! It's The Amazing Race.
All teams are now flying from the United States to England.
When they land, they must make their way here to Trafalgar Square and then look for London's iconic red phone boxes, a symbol of the city and a popular tourist attraction that's now come to life.
Yes, you heard me right.
Let's go! - Let's go, let's go.
There's taxis.
- There's taxis.
- Come on.
Let's go.
Let's go.
- Let's get a cab.
Hey, sir, we're going to Trafalgar Square.
- He looks fast, he looks fast.
- You got us, boss? - Right here.
- All right.
- Trafalgar Square.
- Trafalgar Square, sir.
- Yes, I like you.
- Yes.
- Let's go! - Yeah, I like that.
- There you go.
- Cut him off.
- Yes! Yes! - Yes, yes.
Bye! - That was the-the other girl team.
- Yeah.
We got we got competition on our right here.
- Hey! - Hey! What's up? Stay back there.
Amazing Race 33! Season 33, here we come.
Team Detroit.
Detroit.
I am so excited to do this with my dad because we're super fans of The Amazing Race.
We've been watching this together - since I was eight years old.
- This is what the American dream is.
I was born in Bangalore, India.
I came over to this country, started working as a cashier in a fast food restaurant, and now I am a partner in one of the restaurants.
Today, we happen to do well in life.
Natalia has done some wonderful things.
MVP of her track team, student of the year in her college two years in a row, has a very good job.
So I think it's the true immigrant story, and it's a true American dream.
We got backed up in a little bit of a traffic jam.
Our driver went a completely different way, - so this way could be the best route ever.
- Really We could be number one, or Or we could be in the back, so, I need you to pick up your pace when you're running, so I can - see you from the good side.
- I have small legs.
There's our phone right there.
- There he is.
Stop.
Stop.
Stop.
- Sam, stop, stop, stop.
Go.
Hi.
First.
- Hello.
Hello.
- Hey, guy.
- How'd you do that?! - Welcome to London.
- Thank you.
- Very good to have you here.
- I believe I have something for you, madam, there we are.
- Thank you.
- I just have one more.
- That's We were next.
- We were next.
- Thank you so much.
I think each man had, like, two clues.
'Cause we ran to this first guy, and they were like," I don't have any more clues.
" So I was like, "Damn.
" Maybe we should have took it.
"Travel on foot to Buckingham Palace and find your clue next to the Canada Gate.
" Teams will now race on foot to Buckingham Palace, the centerpiece of this country's constitutional monarchy.
- Buckingham Palace.
- This way.
This way.
Right here.
- Hi.
Hello.
- Do you have some for us? - We're looking for a clue.
- I do indeed have - a clue for you, there you are.
- Thank you so much.
We need Canada Gate.
Turn left into there, walk down then right.
- Let's go.
- All right, so - And then what? - And then we get on that street right there? No, you just go straight through.
All right, cool.
Thank you so much, man.
Yeah.
Okay, thank you so much.
And have a blessed day.
- Okay, thank you.
- Thank you.
All right, there's no one here.
- Hi.
- Hello there.
- Do you have something for us? - I'm afraid I don't.
- You don't? - No, you'll have to look elsewhere, I'm afraid.
- Okay.
- Thank you for your call.
- Thanks, boss.
All right, come on.
- Yeah.
There's another guy.
Do you have something for us? How are you? - Yes! Thank you.
- Thank you.
- "Next to the Canada Gate.
" - All right.
Buckingham Palace.
- Do you have a clue for us? - Do you have a clue? I may.
"Find your clue next to Canada Gate.
" Sir.
Hey.
Thank you, sir.
- Got one, baby.
- Thank you.
- All right, ready? - Let's do it.
- There is your clue.
- Yes.
Thank you so much.
Thank you so much.
Welcome to London.
Yes! "Travel on foot to Buckingham Palace and find your clue next to Canada Gate.
" All right.
Come on, sexy.
I don't see anybody with bags.
- Almost there.
Almost there.
- Gosh.
No.
It's so scary 'cause, I mean, any leg, you could go home.
Being away from the kids is the hardest part of this whole Amazing Race.
We're doing this for our family.
You know, I'm a high school teacher, and she's - working in retail.
- I work retail.
And, we live paycheck to paycheck.
We'll never have this opportunity again.
Sam and I have been married for eight years.
I'm a high school football coach.
- Make him stand up! - One more time! - Make him stand up! - Don't bail on family.
Our family consists of our two little girls Charli and Journi.
And we have a bonus son.
Kind of a unique situation.
I met Braheam Murphy at Harding High School.
He was in a tough situation, living couch to couch, and I went home and said, "Hey, baby, can we make dinner for this kid?" And, she's like, "Yeah, bring him home.
" And he never left, and greatness came from him.
We were even able to win a state championship, and he went and earned an opportunity to go to West Point where he's at today.
- I love him like he's my biological son.
- Yeah.
- He'll be with us forever, so - If someone asks me, someone say, "How many kids you got?" I got three kids, you know.
- Let's get something to eat, man.
- All right.
Boy.
- Come on, light.
- Shoot.
- My God, here we go.
- Is that it? Get the letter! Yes, it's the letter! Okay.
Okay.
"Detour.
" "Artist Den or Digi Ben?" Surprisingly, street art dates back to Roman times and has been thriving here in London since the 1990s.
Today, the world's most popular artist is simply known as Banksy, famous for his impactful social commentary.
This detour gives teams a chance to make their own public statement by posting a piece of original artwork.
Once their artwork is on full display, they'll get a clue.
This detour requires teams to time-travel through London.
Their journey will begin here in Parliament Square, where they'll need to find the bobby near Big Ben, then find Little Ben and finally connect with Digi Ben.
- Digi Ben.
Okay.
- We're gonna do Digi Ben.
- So we have to go to - Okay.
"Travel on foot and find the bobby in Parliament Square.
" Near Big Ben.
Run? Okay.
- There's a new clue, there.
- Go, go, Ryan.
Go, go, go.
- .
- Can I see? - You see him? Yup.
We're going to Digi Ben.
- We're about to do an arts detour.
- Art detour.
We're doing Digi Ben.
- We're gonna do the artist den.
- Yeah.
Got to find Phone booth right there.
- Okay.
- Bowler hat.
Let's go.
Buckingham Palace Road.
- Maybe it is down there.
- Maybe it is.
- Do you have a clue for us? - I'm afraid not.
Sorry.
- Do not have a clue for us.
- There's multiple down here.
There's a bunch of 'em.
I think Buckingham Palace is that way.
Okay.
I don't know, though.
- Sir, do you have a clue for us? - I'm afraid not.
Unbelievable.
All right, come on, babe.
Go over here.
Let's go.
How are there no signs for Buckingham Palace? - This is the square.
- Baby, this whole It could be right here on the edge.
I don't think it would be.
This is a sick joke.
We'll go back here and just look real thorough.
- Here? - Yeah.
That's it.
Do you have a clue for us, sir? - Yes, I do.
- My gosh! - Yes.
- Praise the Lord.
- Thank you so much.
- Okay.
- We got to go by foot to Buckingham Palace.
- Canada Gate.
As soon as you get round there, you'll see Buckingham Palace.
- Okay.
Let's go.
- It's about a 17-minute jog.
Okay, on it.
- Buckingham Palace? - Just go down.
- Down? - You-you can't miss it.
- Very simple to get to.
- Okay, okay.
- Okay.
- You can do it.
Yes! We are the twins, and we work in radio.
It's 103.
5! KTU, the Beat of New York.
- The twins here Lulu.
- And Lala.
We are identical, and the way people tell us apart is that they don't.
We live together, we work together.
We do have our similarities, but I'm really depending on our differences to win the race.
If we were to win, we've already spoken that First thing we're gonna do is pay off our parents' mortgage so that they don't have to worry about it.
They could retire and live life.
They took care of us.
Now it's our turn to take care of them.
What if one of those cute guys starts sweet-talking you? Are you gonna get distracted? They can sweet-talk all they want.
I'm gonna use that to my advantage, and I'm gonna be like, "Bye.
" - All right.
- Thank you for your help.
And we're dumbasses for not asking before.
And I don't really feel like anyone else is doing Digi Den right now except for this team behind us.
Let's go.
- You made it.
You made it.
- Are you twisted? - I didn't think it was this hard.
- Yeah.
I think we're always open to working with another team if we're in the same vicinity.
"Find the bobby in Parliament Square near Big Ben.
" Please be Big Ben.
Please.
That's got to be Big Ben.
It's a big-ass clock.
- Bobby.
Bobby.
- Look for the bobby.
- For the bobby.
- "For the.
" It has to be a thing - because it's "the.
" - A bobby pin? A bobby.
- Hold on.
Think.
- I don't know.
Maybe there'll be a statue in front that says, "Bobby.
" So we're going to Buckingham Palace.
Hopefully, we're going in the right direction.
Let's go.
Moe and I work for the Buffalo Police Department.
We've been partners two and a half years.
We were patrolling, and somebody happened to get a video of us singing a song.
We're gonna win The Amazing Race.
Since those videos, we just received a lot of love.
I have four kids and a beautiful wife.
And I'm a new father right now, so to actually win the race and then win the prize You know, this would definitely be a life-changing moment and allow you to be able to take care of your family.
- Let's do artist den.
- All right.
Little Ben, Big Ben, Digi Ben that's what we doing.
- Artist den.
- Artist den.
- We choose artist den.
- We choose artist den.
Now, is this Parliament Square? It is a square, but You might be right.
No one really understood what it was, and I go, "I think it's a cop.
" And I remembered, like, the big tall hats.
Yup.
You got a clue for us? Are you are you a bobby? I might well have something for you.
.
Yes, sir.
"Travel on foot to the Little Ben near Victoria Station and find the promoter.
" - Victoria Station right here, clear as day.
- Yeah.
So we got to go back down to Buckingham Palace, basically.
All right, come on.
Let's go, boys.
Yeah, another 12 miles.
- Yeah, we're gonna do artist den.
Okay.
- Artist den, okay.
- So we're gonna do the, Digi Ben.
Digi Ben.
- Digi Ben.
Come on, dude, in the race.
Why they running that way? We can't keep walking.
So we're both Division One basketball players.
Like, she's a super athlete.
Pain is weakness leaving your body.
Just keep going! It's 22 years later, two children later, - and when it comes to - That are watching.
working out, that took a backseat.
- Slow and steady.
- No, that's not.
No, no.
That's losing steady.
- Art den? - The artist den.
We need to find the bobby.
- What's the bobby? - What is that? A policeman.
I - My gosh, thank you so much.
- All right.
- Okay.
- Okay.
A policeman.
A policeman.
I was gonna kiss that woman.
We're looking for a cop.
I see a cop.
I see a cop.
Is that another team? No.
Maybe not.
I don't know.
Come on.
Sheri, come on.
There's cars.
Sir, do you have a clue for us? You have a clue? - You're the bobby.
- Hi, sir.
- I might have something for you.
- My God.
We're looking for the bobby.
She just keeps stopping.
We can rest there.
"Travel on foot to Little Ben near Victoria Station.
" Come on, Sheri.
- We're - Give me a kiss.
Okay.
Thank you.
- Let's go.
- Wait, wait! See that communication? Yeah, that was good communication, honey.
Way to communicate.
We've been married for 15 years, but in dog years, it's like a thousand because we work together and we raise kids together.
We make weird family videos for a living.
We have a video background, and I decided that we should make a Christmas video to send our friends and family.
We called it "Christmas Jammies," and it got many millions of views in a very short amount of time.
We realized we could actually make it a living, continuing to make goofy, funny musical dance videos with our family.
Being able to do something that we love There's no substitute for that.
Not even a million dollars.
But maybe a million dollars.
Looking for the mess hall.
- How do we get there? - Okay, thank you.
- Thank you so much.
- Thank you so much.
- Hey, we see another team.
- Over here.
Can we go with you? Yeah, here, through this.
- Here.
- They said enter through the back way.
- Over here, over here! - Yes.
Yes, yes, yes, yes.
Yeah, right here.
- Dude.
- Hello.
Hi! - Give me a high five.
- Hi.
No way we were gonna find - Thank you, thank you.
Yeah.
- Of course.
- Thank you so much, seriously.
- Thank you, guys.
All you got to do Dip the paste, okay? Slap it on, make sure it's all lined up, okay? - Okay.
- Perfectly, and basically that's it.
- Make it nice and straight.
- Okay.
Cool, chill.
I'm out of here.
- Okay.
Paste it big.
- All of those go up, okay.
- Slap it on.
- Does it make something? - Yeah.
- It makes I see.
- Yup.
- Okay, take it down.
- I said "Wait a second.
" - Yeah.
"The Amazing Race doesn't do just stick stuff up on the wall.
" This is a puzzle.
Puzzle, puzzle, puzzle.
We are completing a puzzle.
We're just trying to organize those pieces.
We're looking for Little Ben.
Hey, see that clock tower? Could that be it? I think it's wrong.
Like, I think it's further down.
My God.
"Find the bobby in Parliament Square.
" - Is he a bobby? - Who? The man walking right there.
My God.
If not, we got to ask him.
Excuse me, sir? Do you have a clue for us? - Depends who you're looking for.
- I'm looking for the bobby.
Well, in that case, I may be able to help you.
.
- There you go.
- Thank you, sir.
- "Travel" - "Travel on foot to Little Ben near Victoria Station.
" Come on, Sheri.
We got to make up time.
Little Ben? Little Ben? Hey, what is that? What is that clock right there? - Little Ben.
- Little Ben.
Little Ben.
Little Ben.
- Nice, you guys got it.
- Promoter! Hello.
Do you have a clue for us? Cheerio.
Thank you.
"Travel on foot or by taxi to the" "Piccadilly tube station to find Digi Ben.
" - What do you want to do? Taxi? - Taxi.
- See you guys there.
Good luck.
- All right, boss.
Later, man.
Piccadilly tube station? - Do you know where Piccadilly Station is? - Yeah.
Dusty and Ryan have been a good, you know, duo to stick with for a little bit.
We decided that it's a little too far for us to get there by foot so we're gonna spend a little money, take a cab, get there and find Digi Den.
Okay, this way.
- Come in, please.
- Thank you.
- And gather here.
- Okay.
I guess we just have to put it in a puzzle together - and then put it up.
Okay.
- Yeah.
We are ready.
We are ready.
- Where-where do we need to go? - Let's flip them all over.
Yes, this makes this makes something.
It might be its own clue.
It's the worst possible puzzle ever - 'cause there's no clear - It's definite There's nothing to look at.
This is together.
I got it.
You are so hot right now.
You're like A Beautiful Mind right now with this.
I'm John Nash-ing my ass off.
I have really bad ADHD, but there's this thing called "hyperfocus" where, when there's a task right in front of you, you can really commit, like, every single bit of your brain to it.
It's kind of a cool superpower that comes out of a disorder.
We're there.
We're there.
- Just hand it to me one at a time.
- Yeah.
- So, remember, paint the thing first.
- Yeah.
I did.
Lather, slap.
Lather.
- You're really good at this.
- Yeah - So I'm gonna just organize these for you.
- Yeah.
And I will, once everything's organized, I will start helping.
We've been together now for, like, seven months, and we met on the dating show Love Island.
It was in Fiji, and you're thrown into a villa with singles, - and I found my match.
- Yeah.
We do live in opposite sides of the country.
I live in Jersey, she lives in L.
A.
So, you know, this race is gonna test what me and Caro have.
In Love Island, everything is like a fairy tale, and you go on these romantic, beautiful dates.
And now, The Amazing Race, the challenge is to see how well we overcome obstacles.
We left Love Island happily ever after, and now the story continues.
- "Victoria Underground.
" - You see a little clock? There's a little clock right there.
- Is that Little Ben? - Maybe.
Maybe.
That's Little Ben.
Is this maybe our clue, this lady dressed in that crazy outfit? Yeah, it's got to be.
I think we're looking for you.
- You're our next clue.
- Yes.
Thank you.
"Travel on foot or by taxi to the Piccadilly tube station to find Digi Ben.
" There's a cab over there.
There's cabs over there.
- You see what I'm saying? - What is this? That is Big Ben.
Come on.
Let's find Bobby.
- Bobby?! - There's no person named Bobby.
- It says, "Find the bobby.
" - The bobby.
It's not a person.
Babe, think the Westminster Abbey.
This is this is not Big Ben.
"Little Ben near Victoria Station.
" Come on.
You can't I was stopping for you.
Because I have to breathe.
I'm tuning you out.
Just shut up! Shut up! - What does me talking got to do with your breath? - Shut up! - Don't think I'm trying? - No.
Well, too bad for you, then.
Who you racing for? Who you racing for? 'Cause whoever you're racing for, you're letting them down.
- What are we looking for? - We're looking for Little Ben.
Sheri, you got to give me more.
- Ak, shut up! - I'm not shutting up.
It's not enough the effort.
What's going on between us is very normal.
He's always just nag, nag, nag.
You came all these miles to go out first leg.
- Hey, shut up.
And I'm trying.
- That's what you did? I should be more sensitive, but in the moment, I just was like, "I know you got another gear.
" I didn't see that second wind.
That's all you got? Lala, we're looking for the artist den.
I'm looking for street signs.
I don't understand how I don't get it.
This is it.
Mike?! Come in, guys.
Been waiting for you.
Make it nice and straight.
Good, dude.
I'm out of here.
Thank you.
So we got to put these up here.
Is there any rhyme or reason, though, bro? Just put 'em on the thing.
This is graffiti.
But this is art, so you I can't be putting it up But it's-it's no different, though.
We are both terrible at puzzles, and this seems like a puzzle, so we might have picked the wrong challenge, but Okay, no.
Babe, can you help me? So we have taken these off the wall because they're not aligned perfectly, and we want to make sure they are aligned perfectly.
Sloppy art isn't a masterpiece.
Do you want me to just keep doing that, honey? Yeah, I Well, this looks wrong.
It was here.
It's wrong.
We've got we've got a piece wrong over here.
- Flip it.
- That is correct right there.
- We can just do like we do at home with the puzzle.
- Yeah.
Okay, that goes there.
Okay, awesome.
We're getting somewhere.
We love doing this type of stuff.
We love puzzles.
- Yes.
- We just did some puzzles before we left.
We met on this app called lumberjack.
com.
- He's just joking.
He's just joking.
- We met on Facebook.
We are newlyweds.
We got married on August the 4th of 2019, and we had a really special wedding flash mob dance.
Somebody recorded it, stuck it up on the Internet, and it went viral.
There was a time I probably didn't imagine getting married, but that was just not in my mind.
- Wasn't a possibility.
- Yeah, it wasn't a possibility.
So it's just good to find someone who makes me laugh and smile.
Regardless of what happens on this race, we're gonna come home together.
- Yes, with these rings on.
- With these rings on.
Bobby? Bobby? There's no person named Bobby.
Down here.
Let's go.
- Tube station.
- Let's go down there and find - Digi Den? Digi Den? - Ben.
Digi Ben.
Aah.
But do you see it? I feel like we're kind of miss-missing something here.
You hear music? - Digital Ben.
- Digital Ben.
Hey, hey, hey, hey.
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey.
What's up, dawg? - Thank you, thank you.
- Thank you.
Appreciate you.
Let's go! "Travel to The Chipping Forecast in Soho "and find the queen and Boris Johnson having a nosh to receive your next clue.
" Go around the corner.
Go around the corner.
- He's right there.
- Appreciate that.
You got a clue? Right on, boss.
Victory.
"Travel on foot or by taxi to the Chipping Forest in Soho.
".
58 Greek Street in Soho.
- Who is Boris Johnson? - That's such a familiar name.
He's, like, the prime minister right now.
- You're kidding me.
- Yeah.
So it's five minutes.
We can jog in three.
- All right, we're going.
- We got it.
We got it.
- What's a "nosh"? - That I don't know.
This Look.
This is Little Ben right here.
- And that's the promoter.
- Yeah.
How you doing? You have a ticket for us? Thank you.
Digi Ben.
Taxi! Trying to push her.
It's hard when you know they can do more.
Can't let fatigue make cowards out of people.
I was just here.
I just I was just here two weeks ago.
Piccadilly Station.
See? This is why we have a leg up on the race.
We've been here multiple times for work for a layover, so, obviously, we are well traveled, and that's the biggest advantage of it.
- Do we have to go in it? - We need to go underground.
Here's music.
DJ.
Excuse me, excuse me, excuse me.
- Hi.
Do you have a clue? - Okay.
"Find the queen and Boris Johnson having a nosh to receive your next clue.
" Let's go, come on.
- "to receive our next clue.
" - Who is Boris Johnson? Don't know.
Un-flipping believable.
How you doing? Looking for Bobby.
Looking for Bobby.
- What is that? A? - Bobby.
- What is that? - Bobby? - That's me.
- How you doing, Bobby? - Thank you.
- All right.
Thank you, sir.
Told you it was a person.
- Move straight along.
- Okay, thank you, sir.
To Little Ben.
Maybe this is it? - We're here.
- Okay, let's lay this out.
So they gave us, I guess, a puzzle that we have to put up.
- These two - And I feel like it is the flag of London.
We're probably last.
This is our last piece.
We've got a couple of cracks, but for the most part, it looks pretty good.
- Artist? Hey, man.
- How you doing? - Good.
- Will you take a look? You got to move with a purpose, bro.
I wish I knew more about this artwork.
Is that it? - Yeah, that's all of 'em.
- Artist? No.
I think they all do got to go that way.
Dude, this might be a flag, bro.
But I can see a British flag.
My gosh, dude, this is crazy.
We didn't look at what we was doing.
- Is this Greek Street? - This is Greek Street, buddy.
All right, man, thank you.
You guys took a cab? - Hey, man - Good to see you again.
- What's up, baby? Yeah.
- What's up? There's the queen and Boris.
You guys want to go? Go ahead.
You guys look fantastic.
You have a clue by any chance? Thank you so much.
Appreciate it.
- You look splendid, guys.
- Good luck.
Thank you both so much.
Appreciate it.
Thank you.
Thank you.
"Race to your very first Pit Stop inside the National History Museum and search for Phil.
" It's hard to imagine, but there are more than 80 million specimens in this iconic building London's Natural History Museum.
The most important collection of its kind in the world.
It is now the first Pit Stop in a race around the world.
The last team to check in here will be eliminated.
- Come on, let's go, let's go.
- Let's get a cab.
Travel by taxi.
Sir, can we ride with you again? - Yeah, sure.
- Let's rock.
We're going to the Natural History Museum.
- Good job, baby.
- Good job.
- Taxi! - Taxi! We're in a race for a million dollars.
- If you know any shortcuts, that'd be amazing.
- Yup.
We don't know what could be happening, man.
- They could get stuck in traffic.
- You never know.
Although I feel like we are ahead right now we could be surprised.
I feel like we're close.
Artist? - We love art, and we love you.
- Thank you.
Yes! Sorry.
- My hands are so glue-y.
- I know.
"Find the queen and Boris Johnson having a nosh to receive your next clue.
" Let's get out of here.
I hate art.
You need to relax and not stress out.
I think we're in last place because you just never know with this with this race.
I never want to see an art piece ever again.
- Hi! Hi! Do you have a clue? - Hi.
- Can I give you a hug? - Yes.
Okay, wonderful.
Hi.
Can I give you a hug? Hi.
- Thank you so much.
- Bye.
"Warning: the last team to check in will be eliminated.
" Okay.
Go.
Taxi? Taxi? Taxi? Taxi? Taxi? We're going to the Natural History Museum to see Phil! The girly girls are killing it.
- This is Little Ben.
- Are you the promoter? - Yes.
- God.
Thank you so much.
Okay.
It's just frustrating, um, 'cause you got to be pretty precise with all this.
Check.
- Yay! - Let's go.
"Travel on foot or by taxi to The Chipping Forecast in Soho.
" We got to hit the streets and find a taxi.
Baby.
This Digi Ben? There we go.
"Find the queen and Boris Johnson having a nosh to receive your next clue.
" Come on.
Let's go get a taxi.
- So we have to go get - Come on.
Do you know who's Boris Johnson? - That's the prime? - Prime minister.
So what does he look like? - All right.
Blond and fat.
- Blond and fat.
- Are you Digi Ben? - Hey, are you Digi Ben? - All right.
- Thank you.
All right, so we got to get a taxi.
We're on the right track again.
Phil, where you at? Phil? I'm gonna kiss that map when we get home.
- Those are the boys.
- Those are the boys.
My God.
Those are the boys right in front of us.
- Who is that? - It's the girls from Florida.
Shoot.
They're ahead of us.
- Can we get around them? - Those are the guys.
- Okay, we have to beat them.
- No, no! Don't let them get ahead of us.
Yeah, toast.
Toast! No, no, don't let them pass.
Don't let them pass.
Yeah, don't let them pass, please.
- Get 'em, get 'em, get 'em, get 'em! - Yeah.
Crap.
They're getting ahead.
Okay.
Go.
Let's go, Phil! - Let's go.
- Here we go.
Boom.
Anthony and Spencer, I am pleased to tell you that you are team number one.
- Let's go! - Let's do it! I have a great prize for you.
You have won a trip for two from Travelocity, and you are going to Turks and Caicos.
- Wow.
- Let's go! You're gonna stay five nights at the Sailrock Resort in an ocean view suite where you'll set sail for a picnic lunch and snorkeling adventure among the vibrant coral reefs.
And later, you get to enjoy massages at the spa cabana overlooking the water.
- Hey, not bad, not bad.
- How good does that sound? - That sounds amazing.
- That sounds that sounds great.
Just who me and Anthony have been our entire lives We've always wanted to be the best at really anything we've attempted.
We've had some great experiences, but a million dollars would change our lives.
People think, because we did a movie, that we're rich.
We ain't rich.
We're broke heroes.
That should be our little hashtag.
And look at that.
Another team running in right now.
Boom.
- Good job, guys.
- God.
Congratulations.
You're the first three teams to arrive.
Now you've had a little taste of what The Amazing Race is like.
How does it feel? - Feels amazing.
- It gives us an idea I want more.
Feels like freedom.
I lost ten years of my life, and having the opportunity with my best friend to go around the world, the complete opposite of sitting in a tiny little cage nothing seems more amazing.
Yes, baby, yes.
- Your Majesty.
- Your Majesty.
- It's such a dream.
My gosh.
- You're so beautiful.
- We're ver - Ver-Very sweaty - and very happy to meet you.
- Yes.
Do you have any advice on how to live your life? - Anything you can tell us to? - Okay, should we? Just keep happy.
We're going on Pit Stop.
Thank you.
Mwah.
Always wanted to kiss the queen.
Boris Johnson, what's going on, my guy? You got a helmet on? Yeah, can we have a clue? "Warning.
The last team to check in will be eliminated.
" -It'll be okay.
Okay.
.
Okay.
"Warning.
The last team to check in will be eliminated.
" "Enter The Natural History Museum through the main entrance.
" Okay.
- So we need to go by taxi.
- Taxi.
Dad, what are you doing? It was fine.
Sorry.
I just wanted to make sure - Now there's, like, a gap.
- No, that was a gap that was there.
That's-that's what I was trying to fix.
It's all tore up right now.
Once you, like, paint the paper, and you try to take 'em back down when they're soaking wet, they start to rip and they start to get the holes in 'em.
And it's like, it becomes even more confusing.
- But we're gonna keep pushing until the wheels fall completely off.
We're doing this for more than just ourselves.
Like, we represent Buffalo.
Like, we love our city.
And we're not losers.
There, see how that blue lines up? I think that maybe we should put some of it up, and then from here, we could look at it? - But we don't know.
- But, Lala, it's gonna take us forever to post this up here.
Then start doing it.
Now is not the time to be arguing.
I'm not.
I'm asking a serious question.
- Then ask.
- Do you? Which? Is this the bottom or the top? When we put it up, we're gonna see what's wrong, and we're gonna be able to move it some.
So, then why didn't you do it the first time when I said - to put it up? - Yeah, but you-you were saying it like I said it the same way - all three times.
- Bitchy.
Yes, you're right.
- Bitchy.
- All three times.
You know, we're on the same team, - in case you in case you - I know that.
Wanted to make sure you knew.
Yeah, that looks beautiful to me.
That looks great.
Can we get a check? Yes! Yes! - Okay, let's go.
- Let's get our stuff together.
I just feel like we're never gonna finish.
- Hey, Phil.
- On the red line.
Boom.
Our kids pushed us out the door and said, "Don't get eliminated first.
" Please kick some ass, because we just can't have all young people, you know, winning all the time.
- That's what we're gonna represent.
- You know what I'm saying? - Represent.
Yeah.
- Represent.
Represent.
Well, hopefully We're praying that we're doing it the right direction.
- Can we check? - Check.
Yeah, I'm happy with that.
That's looking great.
- You've done well.
- Thank you.
- Thank you.
- Okay.
My God.
Let's take a taxi.
Not all right.
This is just unreal! Caro and Ray.
There we are.
Got another team coming in.
Akbar and Sheri, nice to see you.
Come on, baby, let's go.
You guys are breathing like it's the last leg and your life depends on it right now.
You know, you don't want to live with no regrets, man.
A lot of kids watching and, you want to be that example.
We was at each other's necks a little bit.
I was trying to dig deep and find that old athlete in her.
Hopefully it'll be out next leg, - but, yeah, it wasn't this leg.
- It was out this leg.
- It wasn't this leg.
- It was out this leg.
Come on, we got to beat this team.
There's still one team left here, so as long, as long as we beat beat that other team here.
Come on, come on, come on, come on.
Could this go here? Like that? - Guys, it's wrong.
- It's wrong? Can we get a hint? Don't get frustrated.
Just keep moving.
I think that's it, bro.
Check.
You've got to fix All right.
Thank you.
- Thank you, thank you.
- Bring you some new bits, 'cause it's, a bit torn.
- And we understand that.
So - Thank you.
Yes, sir.
Once I seen that we were the only two teams that were there, it really started making me worry.
Now the sense of urgency.
Now we're really going to rush mode.
Like, your brain wants to shut down, but you got to keep pushing.
My God, man.
What in the world? This, this ain't easy.
What do you think? What do you think? What do you think? What do you think? What do you think? Like that? - Check.
- Check.
I heard him say, "That's wrong," to the other team over there, so that means we still got a-a chance.
Come on.
Baby.
Phil, don't tell us we're last.
Connie and Sam, I'm pleased to tell you you are team number seven.
- My God.
- Yes.
You look like you just won The Amazing Race.
You're so relieved right now.
Taylor and Isaiah, you are team number eight.
- Yeah! - Awesome! Let's do this.
Awesome, man.
That's good.
There you go.
Hey.
All right, I'm just sliding all the new paper over the old ones, bro, but it's working.
- See that? - Check.
I hope they get it wrong.
- It's looking good.
- All right.
Thank you, sir.
Thank you.
Let's get out of here.
We're the last team, so we feel like crap, and this is exactly what I didn't want.
I found a better match.
So now that matches.
Check.
Okay, sisters, you've done it.
- Yes.
Thank you.
Thank you.
- Thank you so much.
- Let's go.
- Got to beat those boys.
Please, please, please.
Fast, fast, fast.
- Phil! - Phil! Now you've had a little taste of the race.
What do you know now that you didn't know when you started this race? We know that six or seven teams, physically, are extremely strong.
Just because somebody might be faster and stronger than you, at the end of the day - It's not all about how - You got this.
- Yes.
- You got a lot of this.
- So tap into that.
- Yes.
Greek Street.
You said what street? The street, the street we just passed? - Yeah.
- Okay.
Greek Street, Greek Street.
- I hope he took us to the right one.
- Where is Greek Street? We got to beat these girls.
Come on.
Defeat.
In here.
- Hi.
- Hi.
- Thank you so much.
- Yes.
- Greek Street.
- All right.
"Warning: the last team to check in will be eliminated.
" Natural Okay.
We should've told that cab to wait.
What's the address? 58? 58 Greek Street.
Look, bro.
Look, bro.
We need a cab.
Can you take us to the Natural Museum of History? - Fast.
- Really fast? They might've found that clue already, bro.
My gosh.
Right here, bro.
We saw Mike and Moe.
I don't think that they found the place.
So we are neck and neck.
The last team to check in will be eliminated.
- Come on.
- My God.
Hey! I'm not gonna believe that we're the last team right now.
It ain't over till it's over.
Please go as fast as you can.
My God.
we make it.
Once we out the car, we run into the museum.
If we see another team, we got to make sure we blow past 'em, man.
Phil.
Lulu and Lala, you do know you're at the back of the pack.
- Yes.
- Yes.
The good news is you are not eliminated.
My God.
My God.
You are team number ten.
- Okay.
- Ten.
You have survived to fight one more leg of The Amazing Race.
Yes, yes, yes! We made it! Michael and Moe.
Unfortunately, you are the last team to arrive, and I am sorry to tell you that you have been eliminated from the race.
What happened today? We just rushed.
Didn't really pay attention to the details.
I mean, I know it was only one leg, but are you still glad you came out to give it a shot? Yeah, absolutely.
Like, we got a chance to represent our city and police department.
And, you know, so we-we feel honored to be here.
I know it's not the outcome that you wanted, but, hold your heads high, 'cause what you guys do really matters in the world.
- Thank you.
- Thank you.
Appreciate it.
Just having the opportunity, like, as police officers.
The fact that so many people have took to us, you know, we're thankful for that.
It's very humbling, and, you know, we had a wonderful time being here.
If you want to see paradise, you should view it If you want to do something new, you should do it All right.
"Race to Royal Mail Center Delivery in Clerkenwell to find your next clue.
" Having raced London at nighttime, teams will now get to experience this historic city in the daylight.
They'll find their first clue here at Mail Rail.
Excuse me.
Sorry.
Thank you.
The train attack was a confidence booster.
You know, we conquered kind of the fear of death, so everything else in our life became easier.
Not a taxi.
I've just improved overall as a person in almost every area I can think of, so Come on.
We just got to find a cab, that's it.
I'm not flustered, I'm just irritated.
What do we have here? Since I've been out of prison, I've been here a couple times, actually, - here in London.
- Very helpful.
I never thought I'd be running through the streets with my best friend on The Amazing Race.
It's amazing.
Taxi, taxi.
"Race to Royal Mail Central Delivery.
" - Okay, let's go.
Let's go.
- All right.
We're just both so supportive of one another.
I think that we see eye to eye in so many situations, and our communication - has always been.
- One of our best qualities.
And I think that's huge in a race like this.
I feel like it's to the right.
All right, here we go.
There's a taxi.
There's a taxi.
Should we go to the other side? - Yeah, we'll grab this one.
- We'll meet you up there.
- Go, go.
There's one.
- This way? - Found one.
- You got it.
Welcome to team gray, my dude.
Let's go this way.
Okay.
We are the middle-aged mom and dad - Yeah.
- who should be in carpool right now.
And we don't feel old.
Are you okay? Yeah, I'm fine.
But, man, there is an advantage to some youth in this race.
Yeah.
Excuse me, sir.
No? We've seen, like, 12 cabs, and none of 'em 12 cabs.
And none of 'em have their light on.
Yeah.
It doesn't, it just doesn't matter.
There's no one in there.
Why is nobody working? - No.
- Why? For what reason? - Th-There's one back here.
- There's one back here.
Come on.
Taxi! Thank you so much.
We got one.
Thanks.
We're going to "Clarkwell"? Let's go.
Where can we get taxis? Um, on the street.
I don't know what a better plan is.
We're standing in front of a hotel, like What better way to catch a taxi? Please slow down.
Nope.
Yeah, it shouldn't be this hard.
What is going on? Nobody wants to work today? Hey, taxi! - Good job, good job.
- Thank you for stopping.
In the last leg, we wasn't a united front.
'Cause I second-guessed, it took us a while to find what we were looking for.
So I think that maybe I have to listen to him a little bit more.
Let's tape that.
Maybe he has to slow down a little bit, so we can be more observant.
So that's what we're gonna try and do today.
Taxi.
We got one.
- Come on.
Thank you.
- All right.
Thank you.
Yes.
Finally.
Thank you.
We're going to the Postal Museum.
Is this it, sir? Let's go.
We're free.
All your dreams come true at the Mail Rail.
Let's do it.
This looks interesting.
Well, well, well, look at this little thing.
It's a sweet cockpit.
Roadblock time.
Who still gets mail? We all know what airmail is, but here in London they used mail rail for more than 75 years A six-and-a-half-mile-long railway track used to deliver mail under the city.
At its peak, it delivered more than four million letters every day.
And now, this Roadblock requires teams to ride this trusty rail to a loading dock and then sort through thousands of envelopes until they find one that is letter perfect.
I'll be doing the Roadblock.
Can I hop in? Are we gonna go for a ride? For a mil, I will, Ryan.
Let's get it! Yeah.
Confidence level in Ryan is extremely high, especially for a challenge where he has to rummage through things and rip things open.
He's a squirrely little dude.
He's like a raccoon in a dumpster.
They used to transport the mail like this.
This is so cool.
We are going, like, down down, too.
Let's go, baby! It's, this is, this is awesome.
This is incredible.
All right, I got to find my marked bin.
It's go time.
We're gonna, we're gonna look for a clue.
But I have no idea what I'm doing.
You know, there's names on these things, too.
So I'll-I'll go back and look at that later.
'Cause who knows, I mean, it might have our name on it, or something, and so we could be here for the next three hours.
- Ready? - Go.
I think we learned a lot from the last leg more than any other team, just because of the adversity we had to go through.
And I think it's gonna prepare us for today.
Where are we going today? At times, we can be very much so polar opposites.
- Yes.
- He's a Gemini, I'm a Libra.
I'm always right, he's always right, so that can create some tension.
So I think it's gonna be interesting.
We've been getting along so far.
- You can pull in there? - Yeah.
- Hey, let's go.
- Go.
How you doing? Thank you so much.
Taxi! - Yes.
- Yes.
Thank you, sir.
Be on the lookout for a taxi.
We bicker from time to time.
It's not like a traditional Indian family where the dad is all, "What I say is the rule of the law.
" Yeah.
He's probably the farthest from, like, a traditional Indian father.
Sometimes, we disagree.
I think it's a good thing, because I think then we respect each other.
Close it.
Okay, here we go.
People think that I'm the stronger one because I'm the aggressor.
But deep down inside, I know if she's not here I just don't function.
That's how strong our bond is.
Yeah, like, I would rather have things happen to me than to see it happen to her.
Right now, she's going through a-a breakup, and it, like, I want to, like, I hate it.
What is the main thing called? Let's ask him.
I feel like this is an emotional rehab that she needs.
Perfect.
Okay.
No clue what I'm doing.
Just gonna roll through it.
As methodically as possible.
I think this is it, so Damn.
We need the train to come.
I was pretty methodical, but, not I was, like, not getting caught up in the-the micro, and ultimately I was able to catch the first train out of there.
Nobody's on it.
What? What's happening here? All right, well, hey, thanks for coming back for me.
We got in and out of there before even a second team showed up.
Yeah.
I think I see him.
What's up, man? Yeah, baby! "Take a taxi to Leicester Square to find your next clue.
" This is Leicester Square, commonly known as theater city, and where teams will choose a detour.
Yo.
Yeah! - Right here.
- Go down here.
"Who still gets mail?" - I'm gonna do it.
Okay.
- You do it.
Okay.
- I'll do it.
- Focus.
You got this, okay? All right, good luck, good luck, good luck.
- Quel, you're gonna crush it.
- Come on, Ant.
- Hey, baby, we got this.
- Let's do it.
You got this, Raquel.
Good luck! Let's go.
This is cool, little underground.
This is awesome.
It was a whole little underground world that I was not aware of.
We just got to search through the mail? Yeah, we got to search through mail.
Okay, we got this.
We got this.
Not sure what the clue is, but we're gonna try and find it.
We just had to find the clue, and I don't really overcomplicate things.
And so I was like, "There's no way it's in a box.
It's got to be just on the bottom.
" My gosh.
All right, here we go.
This has to be right.
Not really sure what we're looking for.
And I honestly found it in, like, 15 seconds.
Definitely, um, a solid performance by Raquel.
Wow.
Jackpot, baby.
Go.
Wow! That was good! Cayla's gonna be so proud of me.
She left.
Damn.
Okay.
Something that I'm missing.
Is this the mail train? Hey, hey.
- Mail Rail, right here.
- Okay.
- Is it me? - You're doing it.
- You do it.
- Okay.
Good luck, guys.
Yeah, good luck.
Cayla! My God, Quel! I was so fast.
I'm so proud of you, I could cry.
- Well, that's anticlimactic.
- Good luck, guys.
This is brutal.
Yellow team showed up and baby blue.
Here we go.
Let's get it.
Let's get it.
Hey, you want to work close together? Yeah, yeah, yeah, let's do it, let's do it.
Let's-let's get these two.
Yeah.
Okay.
Let's get it, bro.
Damn, I missed that.
Wasted all this time going through boxes that it wasn't in.
That's all right.
I'm just waiting on another train.
Hopefully these guys don't find it.
Hopefully I get on that train alone.
One of them says "handle with care.
" The other ones don't.
I noticed that, too.
That might be a trick.
Yeah, wait, I mean, here's the clue.
Can't be that easy, right? Word.
Is it that freaking easy? I'm not gonna go rush back and then have to come back and look again.
Should we ask? Um There's four people So, it looks like I have some company.
Anthony, you feel like talking to us about this? It You just got to find, the one that says "Amazing Race.
" Like this.
Look.
- Looks like this.
- Yeah, that's it.
- You're good.
- And we're Are you sure? That's what I'm doing.
- I'm about to get back on the train - Yeah.
- and I That's all I got.
- It can't be that easy.
Don't really trust what bro is saying right now.
I don't know.
He said that kind of shaky.
Hopefully these guys stay and look through it a little longer.
We're looking for something else.
What about the stamps? I think we got to stay here.
There's something else.
I'm looking at postage.
Some of these have little wavy marks on them, and some of them don't.
Does that make a difference? You know what, what if they ask us about the names when we get off of it? Looks like they might stay.
Why would you stay when you found the clue? He-he really tried to mess us up right there, nonchalantly.
He didn't seem super honest.
They stayed.
Yes, yes.
That's what we needed.
I'm organizing by names right now.
There's a Mr.
and Mrs.
- I got a ton of Lindsays.
- Yellow team and baby blue stay behind.
I don't know why.
They found the clue.
They even asked me.
I told them.
Once you find "The Amazing Race," I don't, I don't know what else there is to look for.
Mrs.
, Mrs.
Mrs.
Mr.
, Mrs.
, Mrs.
Mr.
, Mrs.
, Mrs.
I don't know what I'm looking for.
We're looking for some type of clue somewhere through this box of mail.
We found something really obvious.
I'm just looking through for some type of other clue right now.
I feel like it just can't be that easy.
We could also just be overthinking this.
I am a chronic overthinker.
I don't know.
I'm not seeing anything.
I'm gonna do the Roadblock.
- You.
Yeah.
- Yeah.
"Who still gets mail?" I do.
Ay, ay, ay.
Let's get it.
Yeah, buddy.
We have made it to Leicester Square.
Now it's time to find.
Yeah.
- All right, we have a detour.
- Dun, dun.
There are an estimated five million dart players in the United Kingdom.
Many of them throw it down at bars like this, Flight Club Victoria.
The rules are pretty simple.
All you have to do is hit a specific target something that teams need to do to complete this detour.
Each team member will throw three darts.
If they can both hit a bull's-eye in the same round, they'll be rewarded with a clue.
London is the most multicultural city in Europe.
And one-third of the population here is foreign-born.
In this detour, they need to decorate two blank cakes with the nations of two flags that are part of the European Union.
If they pick the right EU countries and the right flags, the master baker will make their day and hand them a clue.
We are going to Bull's-eye Mate.
Maybe that's the clue, and we get out of here.
- Nah, bro.
- I'm about to check the stamps.
I've checked 'em three times, but, I mean, I could be just going too fast.
Maybe there's a female stamp or something? I hear another train.
Somebody else is about to show up.
Aah! Teams are coming.
Teams are coming.
If we're wrong, we've wasted a ton of time.
Is it far away? Okay.
- We have no choice.
- We don't have room for error.
- We don't.
- 'Cause that's it.
There's If we come in last, we are going home.
Let's get it.
Come on.
Come on, Sheri.
Come on, Sheri.
Let's go, baby.
I don't know what I'm looking for.
E.
Jones, McClain, Smith.
Come on, girl.
Don't overlook.
Don't overlook.
Come on, girl.
Come on.
Come on, girl.
Yes! My God.
Yes! - Is it in a box? - No, no.
Well, she got it.
She got it.
They look excited.
We might be overthinking the hell out of this.
Yeah, we might be.
We might be.
I got it, I got it.
It could be that simple, - and we just overthought it.
- There's nothing here.
Everyone else immediately gets a clue, and they get in line for the train.
Did everybody find it at the same time? No, we've had them for a while.
- We just, like - We were here for, like, 30 minutes.
- My gosh.
- And I'm like, "What are y'all doing?" They're like, "What are you doing?" "Get on the train.
You got the clue.
" Yo, we could have overthought it, bro.
It could have been - a mind game with us going through the mail, waiting.
- Yeah.
And you know how they knew it was the clue? 'Cause it was a clue.
"Who still gets mail?" - I'll do it.
- Okay, you'll do it? Good job.
Let's go.
Let's go.
Let's go.
- I screwed this up so bad.
- You didn't, honey.
- Leicester Square.
- "Leicester Square to find your next clue.
" I found it 30 minutes ago.
A few teams just finished ahead of us, so we have to just be smart.
Does the door open a special way? Just step over it? The switch.
Look, I'm thinking too hard.
I chose the first Roadblock, but when we read it, It said, "Search for something.
" I was like, "I'm the worst at that.
" - So thank you, Sheri.
- No problem.
Okay, so what happened? We found this 30 minutes ago.
Then why didn't you go up if you had the clue? I just don't think someone has any right to give me advice on the situation.
They don't even know what it looked like.
For future reference, this says, "The Amazing Race.
" That would be a clue.
Next Roadblock you execute in two minutes.
You got it? Word.
Being in a new relationship, and also it being long distance, you don't know much about the person when it comes to stressful situations like this 'cause we've both never been like that.
- You're so rude.
- I don't care.
Facts.
It is what it is.
I'd never seen him in a stressful situation.
Okay, so now we have to just collect our cool - so that we can work together.
- I'm good.
I'm good.
- Okay, you're good? - I'm good.
Anyways, okay, so now we're off, and hopefully we can work as a team when we get there.
Nothing there.
Keep going.
There's a lot of mail.
I do not see him, but hopefully my husband is digging through that mail to find that next clue.
Aha! Success! Just hoping that the twins don't get here, um, because we want to stay in this race.
- I'll do it.
Okay, I'll do it.
- You do it.
We're actually back to our station.
Does he have a clue? Hopefully not.
The pink team is here.
Okay, this is Taylor.
"Lei-cester" "Square to find your next clue.
" Okay, we're rocking, we're rolling.
Here we go.
Okay, we're gonna decorate.
- We're gonna decorate.
Let's go.
- Come on.
- We're gonna do decorate.
- Decorate the cake.
We know the EU pretty well.
- My guy! - You think that's him? Let's go, baby.
We're getting back in.
61 Central Street, London.
- Yep, yep.
Got it all.
- Time to slang 'em.
All right, thank you.
Let's do it.
Flight Club.
Well, I'm a dart-slanging savage.
Um, I spent a lot of time in my younger days with buddies in the garage playing a ton of darts.
We saw a pint in there, too, so we were like, "Okay, so maybe it's the best of both worlds.
" - Cheers, my friend.
Well deserved.
- To an Amazing Race.
- This is so awesome.
- Pints go here? Let's go.
Nice.
We got to get two bull's-eyes in one round.
Yeah, we'll get 'em, baby.
If you get one, we're good.
Just eyeball it, dude.
You got it.
You're right there.
You're good, dude.
You're get you're getting better.
Thank you, sir.
- Thank you.
- Good luck.
Thank you.
There it is.
I see it.
There! - Where? - There, there, there, there.
Let's do the cake.
Cake.
Cake.
We can try the cake.
- I think the bull's-eye.
- We'll do the bull's-eye.
How long do you think it'll be there to get there? Okay, yeah.
- I'm sorry? - The bull's-eye.
- Bull's - Bull's-eye.
Okay.
- The cake? - The cake.
- Okay.
- Okay.
Good luck! Hope you don't find it.
- I was, um, second guessing myself.
- Guessing? We doubt ourselves a lot, but she depends on me, and it's a million dollars on the line, so I don't want to disappoint her.
We're still in this.
We're gonna do decorate.
- We're choosing Bull's-eye Mate.
- Bull's-eye Mate.
- We're gonna decorate cakes.
- We're gonna decorate cakes.
Hi.
We're here.
Okay, we just pick a station? - Yes.
- Okay, let's look at all of them.
Okay, we have to decorate two cakes with the flags of the European Union, so I don't know if all of these on the table are from the European Union, but we know that this one is.
Yeah, the France flag.
So let's start with that.
- Okay, let's do - And then it's blue underneath.
Okay, but which blue? - Okay, so there's blue frosting.
- Which blue? - Is it this blue? - It's that blue, yeah.
Just one-third of the way, and then start the last That's good.
That's good.
- Okay, now you smear.
- Now I start there.
Get it all on the edge.
- It's perfect.
- Look how nice it looks.
- All right, let's start bluebin'.
- Two I really want to start on another cake, but I don't know which other flag.
- I would do this one.
- 'Cause we know that it's that? Yeah, 'cause you know.
Raquel, it's all over the thing.
We're gonna get this later.
We're gonna get it later.
You're digging for the clues.
Thank you.
I got it.
Pull back and open one side.
- No! Hi! - Hello.
What's up, guys? - What's up? What's up? - Hey.
- Okay, let's look.
- We can do any one? These are not all in the European Union.
Let's just do the UK.
They're not in the European Union anymore.
You're right, you're right, - This is.
This is.
- I don't think that's it.
It is, bro.
- I have clothes that have this on here.
- Well, it doesn't - Yes, it is.
- For who? Who is that? I don't know, but it is.
How you gonna be so confident? I have a jacket that has that flag on it.
That's how.
Okay.
You want to do that one? I'm-I'm gonna do this one.
And I'll do this one.
- Okay.
- Okay.
Get it, boy.
- In! - Yeah.
Baby! What do we got? Route Info.
London buses transport over six million passengers every day.
And the most famous bus of them all would have to be the double decker.
A perfect place for a cup of tea and a Pit Stop for this leg of the race here in Russell Square metro station.
We need you to haul us to our final destination, bro.
- This is it Flight Club.
- Right here.
We're here.
- Thank you.
- Thanks.
Awesome.
Let's do this.
You can do it, Nat.
Don't overthink, okay? God.
You'll get it, okay? Need another sip of beer.
Good job.
That circle's very small.
We are gonna decorate cakes.
I think it's something you'd be really good at decorating.
I just hope it moves fast.
Me and Anthony are actually American and French citizens.
We got our citizenships through the Legion of Honor after our terrorist attack on a train headed to Paris.
No.
Disrespectful if we didn't pick the French flag.
Cayla, what flag are you doing? - Great Britain.
- Great Britain? You know that.
Oui.
Oui.
Bye.
Can you lead the way? There's, like, some poop down there.
- Yeah.
- It's my kind of day.
How you doing? - Um, choose a station? - Hi, guys.
What's going on? Let's go.
Let's bake some cakes, baby.
- Penn.
- Yeah, yeah, right here.
- Pull it back.
- Okay, who else is here? - Bonjour.
- Bonjour.
- Excuse me.
- Good job, guys.
- You know which flag it is? - Yeah.
Okay.
- Let's just start this one Germany.
I know it.
- Okay.
It started off with just us, and now there are four teams currently here.
- Let's do this one and this one.
- Okay.
Okay.
So right now, I'm doing the German flag.
I moved to Germany for six years.
And the detour was, recreate two countries from the European Union, so I knew them right away.
I was like "Germany, France.
Like, easy.
" It says, make our way downstairs.
- Downstairs to the downstairs bar.
- Downs Can I get, um, two pints and darts, please? - Of course.
- Thank you so much.
- That was close.
- Hey, guys.
- Hey.
- Hey.
That's in.
That's in.
Ready? - It's gonna get worse.
- Babe, you got to throw it.
A little bit firmer.
Shoot! Come on, Nat.
You can do it.
- Damn it.
- Nat.
- This is not gonna work, okay? - Okay.
- You're trying to push it.
It's not gonna work.
- Yeah.
- Okay.
Okay.
- You just have to be firm about your throws.
It's okay.
Follow your eye.
Watch this.
- See how I, like, look down the barrel? - Yeah.
All right, over my shoulder.
- Great.
- See, that was a bull's-eye.
I throw darts a little bit.
You got it now.
You're doing good.
Connie she had to warm up her arm a little bit, though.
She was It was at this long arc.
I was just like, "My God.
" You might miss it ten times.
Just keep firing.
- I see it.
Ready? - Damn.
Detour.
- Okay.
- Let's see.
- Come on.
Right here.
- Knock, knock.
All right, so everyone's still here.
Can we get a check? - Hello.
- Hello.
Wonderful.
- Thank you.
So you're going for France and Britain, yeah? - Yes.
Good.
Britain's not in the EU.
- I'm sorry.
- It's okay.
You were doing - It's okay.
It's not a big deal.
Don't worry.
- Okay.
- We'll redo it.
Yeah.
Yeah.
- Brexit, right? Yeah, I didn't know that.
- So I'm not gonna judge that.
- Okay.
It's lovely, actually, but let's have a look at France.
Yeah, I'm happy about that.
- Okay.
- Should I just leave this? - Do I take it back up? - Take it back up.
I'm gonna cry.
Check! Can we take it down, do a cake check? Can we take it down? - You guys good? - No.
- Good luck, guys.
- Thanks.
Just start over and pick a new one? We're gonna do Germany.
That one's easy.
- How are you? - Good.
How are we? - Good.
- What have you brought for me? Let's see what you say.
Well, we got a little French flag here for you.
So, France in the EU.
Good.
This one not so much.
Have to strike this one, I'm afraid.
But I can have a look at this one.
France.
- Yeah, that's spot on.
- Okay.
We got one flag out of the European Union, but we know which one we need to do now.
Is it on the other side of the square? Bernard Street is right there, my man.
Right there.
Let's go.
- Hey, guys.
- Hello.
Welcome to a double decker bus here in London.
- You had a good day? - We have a great day.
- I think it's - Soaked to the bone, but it was a hell of a run, man.
Would you like a cup of tea before you leave? - Cup of tea would be fantastic.
- Cup of tea, okay.
- Thank you so much.
- Do you have any idea where - you're placed right now? - We think we're first.
- You do? - We feel very confident in that.
- We believe so, yeah.
- Okay.
You are team number one.
All day, baby Man, what a day it's been.
Thank you.
- Bull's-eye.
- Nice.
Let's go.
Yeah, good job! Come on, Arun.
You got this.
Aah.
- Shoot.
- Good try.
Good try.
- God.
- You got this one, Dad.
You got this.
Maybe I need to drink some more of the beer.
What are we gonna do? Bull's-eye! - How are you doing that? - Just throw it in there.
Good throw.
Yes! Let's go.
- All right.
- Okay, thank you so much.
Do we have to drink the beer or anything, or we? No, we don't have to drink it.
Okay.
Okay, now I am I need to concentrate.
Good job, baby! I knew you could do it.
We let the other team, which came in, beat us.
- Nat.
- Yeah, I'm not concentrating.
- Yeah, take a deep breath.
- Do you think we should switch to the other detour? I think I go first 'cause I It's harder for me when you have it, and I think - you have more skill at this, so - Yeah.
Oy.
Yeah! Yes! Good job.
Good job.
Good job.
- Okay.
- Thank you.
Okay, is this it? - Yeah.
- Okay, we're here.
We have to put our stuff down and get to work.
I'm looking to see what everybody else is doing.
Yeah, these two.
Let's go.
- Let's do-do Germany.
- Yeah.
- My bad.
- You're good.
I have to now do a completely different flag.
I would like to set the record straight.
I knew about Brexit.
I didn't know that it actually had happened and that they did exit.
She doesn't watch the news.
None.
I literally don't watch any news.
I learned that ignorance is not bliss - in The Amazing Race.
That's for sure.
- Apparently.
Okay.
I am panicking that we we're not clean enough here.
- Then they'll tell us, and we'll come right back up.
- Okay.
Going down to get checked.
We have some gorgeous cakes for you.
You do? - They're beautiful.
- They're cakes.
So, what have we got? We've got Germany? - Yes.
- And, Norway, right? - Yes.
- So you got one of them right.
- Okay.
- Norway is not in the EU, I'm afraid.
Is this cake okay? Thank you.
Let's do it.
- Let's do it.
- Thank you, sir.
Let's go up here.
- Hi, Phil.
- Grab a seat right here.
You guys had a good day today.
- We did.
- Yeah.
- You know where you are? - We're on the big bu red bus.
- Yes, you are.
- At the Pit Stop, baby.
- You're crushing it, Raquel.
- Thank you.
Good job, good job.
Think we're okay.
- Okay.
- I think we're good, yeah.
- Okay, we're gonna go try it again.
Get that thing in there.
- I'm gonna lock her in real quick.
- Lock it in.
- I brought the - Again.
How we doing? We just missed you, so we thought - we'd come back as quick as possible.
- Yeah.
Nice.
So, France, Germany, yeah? - Yes.
Mwah.
- Mwah.
Perfect.
Yeah, Germany's good for me.
- Well done.
- Thank you.
Appreciate it.
- Thank you.
- Thank you.
Grab our backpacks, let's go.
- Good job, guys.
You're gonna do it.
- You got it.
You got it.
The purple team just got it.
You know, good for them.
Walking to get judged.
- Hello, sir.
- Hello, boys.
- Very nice.
Well, right flag, so, well done.
- Thank you.
Bang-on, boys.
I'm happy with Germany.
- Yes, thank you.
- My man! Thank you.
My man.
All right.
Roll the dice.
Aah! I'm not really sure if this is right.
I mean, we can kind of see what everybody's doing.
You're right.
So let's Everyone's doing the peaches, the red, the white and the blue.
He told us to clean up the blackberry stains, and I'm doing what I can with that.
- Right here.
- Pull back and Okay.
Look at the girls.
This is crunch time.
So we got some pressure on us now, but we're-we're confident we're gonna do well, so we still have a shot.
Which one do we want to do? Let's do this one.
I'm gonna start on the other one France.
We finally made it to the cake place, and when we got there, there was One, two, three, four teams, I believe.
We still have a chance.
They're not too far ahead.
So that gave me some ease.
- Come on, Sheri.
- This is clutch time, baby.
- Tell me when you're ready.
- Let's go.
They got it.
- Hey, man, how are you? - Hello, Chef.
- Very good.
How did it go? - Good to see you again.
- And you, and you.
- So we got the blackberry done.
- Yeah.
Great.
- Blackberry's gone.
- And look at this beauty.
- Wow.
That's gorgeous.
Yup, blue and white.
Lovely.
Really nice lines on here, as well.
Yeah, I'm happy with them, too.
- Come on! - I'm really happy with them.
- Well done.
- Thank you, sir.
We feel good about our choices, but I love baking.
- I bake cakes all the time.
- You got it, you got it.
- We'll see you all soon.
We'll see you all soon.
- Good job.
- Cake check.
- Cake check.
We got this, babe.
Good job.
Good job.
You're doing really good.
- Hello.
How we doing? - Hello.
Okay.
Yo, you could sell this one, right? You know what I'm saying? - Yes! - France and Germany, right? - Yeah? - Yeah.
All good.
They are the right flags, so, let's have a look.
- He did really good.
- That is bang-on.
- Hey! These are good.
- We did it, babe.
Hey! - Okay, the other one? - Germany, right? Yeah, you know what? Well done.
- Yay! Let's go! - Yay! Well, congratulations.
- There's a clue.
- Thank you so much.
Thank you.
All right, guys, y'all got this.
- Bye.
- Okay, bye.
Cake check.
- Hello.
- How are we doing? - Tell us something good.
- Let's have a look.
So we got France and Germany, yeah? They are the right flags.
- Yes.
- They're the right flags? Yeah, Germany looks really good.
- Thank you.
- Let's have a look at France.
They seem to be Yeah, you're good.
I'm happy with these two.
- ! - Let's go, baby.
- Well, thank you so much.
- Well done.
First try.
Believe that's yours.
- Thank you.
Thank you.
- Thank you.
Okay, come on, Dad.
- Come on up.
Grab a seat.
- Coming up.
We are here.
Make yourself comfortable.
- Boy, you had a good day today? - We had a good day.
Holly, let's get some tea for these lovely people.
How much longer do you think it's going to take? Yeah, I notice that.
We got to hurry up.
It's down to us again.
- Good job, baby.
- Thanks, boo.
It is crunch time.
There's one more team here.
- We're neck and neck.
- Come on, baby.
You got this.
Check.
Can we get a check? How are we doing? - We're doing good.
- Hopefully, good.
- France and Germany, yeah? - Yes.
- Lovely.
Right countries, so we're good there.
- Okay.
Time to have a look at these.
Yeah, really nice.
And then in terms of France Damn Damn near perfect, boys.
Well done.
Thank you so much.
Thank you.
My gosh, I love you so much.
Hey, hey, don't leave without this.
Okay, thank you, thank you.
- Well done, boys.
- Thank you so much.
- Is this it? - Right, right? Come on up, guys, grab a seat.
- Okay.
- There we are.
- Beautiful, beautiful.
- Is that coffee? Cup of tea.
- It's very English.
- We just said this is the first time in a long time that we did not start the day with warm coffee or tea.
Wait, this is actually this is so nice.
Cheers.
Where's yours? Before leaving here, I broke up with my ex, and he told me I wasn't gonna make it, and that's exactly what's happening.
So I have that negativity right now in-in my head.
He was right.
You're gonna let some ass tell you that? What-what the is he doing? You need to just let go of that.
That's the problem.
You don't know how to let go.
He's a loser.
I don't want to talk about it, so drop it.
- And you're worried over this ass that has nothing? - I'm not worried.
Lala, I said drop it Can we get a check? - Hi.
- How did we do? Let's have a look.
Thank you.
So right countries, so very good.
First off the bat, we got nice summer berries.
Nice.
Yep, good on both.
I'm happy with that.
- Thank you.
- Well done.
Well done.
Thank you so much.
- Congratulations.
- Thank you.
- Hi.
- Hi, do you know where this place is? Why are you crying? Because I'm mad at you.
- What did I do? - What you said.
What did I say? That you-you had the-the words of your ex, that you-you're never, you're never gonna do it.
- I was just simply expressing what I felt.
- No, but let me say it.
I said one thing that I felt like I wanted to say and share, and you're giving me a hard time over it.
My intention was not to make you feel like crap.
- But you did.
- My intention was to open your eyes finally.
- I am! - Let me finish.
I said one thing! You're not trying to see my point.
You're right, I'm not.
Shame on me for trying to be a good sister.
I finally do that, and you're holding it up against me.
I'm not holding it up against you.
Like, I can't hold this in anymore.
I'm not holding it up against you So, why? Let me talk about it then.
- Okay, then - So-so, then There was no need for it, because it didn't help us at all.
- It didn't.
We just - If anything, it just ruined the day, 'cause I really couldn't stand her.
I wanted to strangle her.
We're just gonna leave it behind us, - and we're not gonna do that ever again.
- Yeah.
I was just trying to defend you.
You didn't say sorry, but I forgive you.
- Sorry.
- I'll take it.
Are these the other guys? Yeah.
The light blue team.
We just went two different directions.
- We did? - They went up there, and we went down here.
This is gonna, this is gonna make the difference.
Our guy's crushing it.
Yeah, he is.
And here we are at the red light.
Filming you being an awesome cab driver.
All right, thank you.
Thank you.
All right, let's roll.
- You go in first.
- I know.
Let's go.
Hi, guys.
- Dude.
- Hi, Phil.
Come and grab a seat.
Make yourself comfortable.
Yeah, come on.
Hey.
- Come on, guys.
- What's up? What up, what up, what up, my guy? - Hello.
- Just grab a seat.
Not as good as yesterday, but - We're racing.
- We're still here, so - Don't you give up on me now.
- Phil.
Have a seat right here.
Good to know we're not in last, but any-anything can happen, so it doesn't feel that great.
There's no cushion, you know, if we make any wrong move.
And then we might run into some traffic.
We are racing for a million dollars, so if you can burn rubber, we'd appreciate it.
Thank you.
How far do you think we are away from the destination? Lord.
Gosh.
What will Phil tell us? This is not good.
This is, like, almost standstill.
We can sit here and wait, and Hope for the best.
Are we almost near? Okay, cool.
Maybe like five-ten minutes? - Grab a seat, you guys.
- Hey, Phil.
- Hey, Phil.
- Hey there.
You're team number nine.
- Sound good? - Thank you so much.
- Yeah, sounds good.
- Yeah! - All right.
- This way, Lala.
What up, Phil? Lulu and Lala, come and have a seat.
Would it be fair to say you've had a tough day? - Yes.
- Yes.
You know what my mom always says when you've had a tough day? "Have a cup of tea.
" - Let's have a cup of tea.
- Cup of tea.
Holly, would you mind pouring a cup of tea - for these lovely young women? - That would actually be very nice.
Here we are.
So, have you still had a good time? - I've had the best time of my life, Phil.
- The-the best time.
- The-the city of London is beautiful.
- Yeah.
Beautiful.
But you know you're last? - Yes, we know.
- Yes, we're last.
- So, here's the crazy thing.
- Yeah? You're actually still racing.
- What?! - What?! In our head, we're like, "Well, it was nice.
" I have another clue for you.
That got our energy to a whole other It was the second wind we needed.
You have a train to catch.
- And you have some racing to do.
- Yes, we do.
- We do.
You could still win this race.
All right, see you in Scotland.
- Okay.
- All right.
All right.
Be safe.
God.
My God.
We're still in the race.
- We're still in it.
We're still in the race.
- We're still in the race.
Next time on The Amazing Race The race continues in Glasgow, Scotland.
It is manual transmission.
- Go, baby.
- I got it.
This is, like, a new driver's worst nightmare, to be in stop-and-go traffic.
I just want to stay safe.
And an unprecedented first for the race.
Right now, the world is dealing with the coronavirus.
In order to keep you safe, the best choice is to suspend the race.
