The Amazing Race Australia (2011) s05e16 Episode Script

Season 5, Episode 16

Previously on The
Amazing Race Australia
This is cool.
Whoo-hoo!
I literally have never done
anything like this in my life.
..we've criss-crossed the country
This is so bad-ass.
- That was epic!
- It was so much fun.
..and, as the competition
got tougher
Like, it's been my biggest fear
my entire life.
..we said goodbye
to some incredible racers.
Unfortunately, you are eliminated
and your time in the race is over.
And now
..only the seven strongest teams
survive.
Being Sikhs,
we've always been warriors.
We're both
super confident.
Cowboy up.
Let's get it done.
I'm a fearless man.
This week
"Leave the mainland behind
and fly to Tasmania."
..we're in Van Diemen's Land
We've never been to Tasmania.
..and the race to the finish
..is on.
Run, Ashleigh!
- But first
- Whoo!
- Go!
- See you later!
..teams will need balls of steel
Fast Forward. "Get naked"
- "Swim to the pontoon
- "Retrieve your clue."
- Swim out naked.
- That is so easy.
There's nothing I wouldn't do
for this race. I'm here to win.
..if they want to make it
to the final
That's why you don't take cowboys
to the water.
Beautiful Brisbane, the birthplace
of the iconic lamington,
and it's from here our seven
remaining teams are about to depart
in the order that they finished
the last leg.
Far out. There we go.
Oh. Good rip.
"Leave the mainland behind."
"Fly to Tasmania.
"Find Wrest Point and construct
a house of cards
"to earn your next clue."
- "Warning - there's a dress code."
- Let's go.
We always run left! Always!
Reportedly, she has the purest air
on the planet,
is only 240 kilometres
south of Australia's mainland
and is directly across
the Bass Strait
and her quirky, cool and
unpredictable capital, Hobart,
is about to host the 16th leg
of The Amazing Race Australia.
Welcome, my friends, to Tasmania.
Big boy!
Take us to the airport, please.
We've never been to Tasmania.
We did really fantastic last leg,
and it definitely gave us
a confidence boost.
It's going to be lit.
Somewhere we actually wanted to go
on this trip.
We really struggled
with previous legs
and we'd argue,
we don't work well as a team.
So Dolor and I wanted to keep it
very positive
and have just have a good day
and whatever happens
was going to happen.
Terms have flown to Hobart,
where they're heading
to the Wrest Point Hotel,
Australia's very first legal casino,
opened way back in 1973.
Now for this challenge, teams
must pay homage to the retro era
and dress in their
most groovy '70s attire,
then build a house of cards.
And it's got to be
five storeys tall.
It'll take steady hands and a kiss
from Lady Luck to reach the top.
But one wrong move could bring
their whole world crashing down.
Go, go, go.
Go, babe, go.
Get out of here, Skye.
Jake, I don't know
where the parking
I don't know
where the hand brake is.
We finished our last leg
in last place.
- Don't get angry at me.
- Down that way.
Everyone was in front of us.
Let's go, mate.
Righto, Brendon.
Sandy Bay. East Ah, west.
West and south.
Yeah, so we bought a map of Tassie
at the airport actually,
so, yeah, yeah.
What's so funny?
"Find Wrest Point
and construct a house of cards
"to earn your next clue."
I think this one
is going to be teamwork.
Like, I know everything's a team
but people just feud together.
I think Holly and Dolor, like,
if he starts getting frustrated,
they won't go any good.
Oh! Tasmania's beautiful.
Looks really wealthy and rich.
Cowboys are ahead.
Wrest Point.
OK, let's get out.
Good, mate.
When we got to Wrest Point,
we had to put on some '70s outfits.
- Hol, you want this?
- Yeah, got one, got one.
- Got one?
- Yeah, let's go.
I picked the easiest thing
I could find.
Why are you laughing at me?
So funny.
If I literally had no facial hair,
I'd look just like my mum.
Oh, wow.
I've turned over to Brendon
and he's put a dress on.
- I was like, "Right. We mean business."
- Finally.
You look like a young Demi Moore.
Right to pick anywhere?
Let's go this one.
We had to build a house of cards.
Anyway we wanted it to.
Had to be five levels as well, so,
and we had to use all our cards.
- You right?
- Nuh.
Just doesn't want to go.
Coming into this one,
our plan was to try to get it done
as quick as we can.
Don't you dare.
But we figured out pretty quickly
that wasn't going to work.
Damn, girl!
- This one, this one, this one.
- OK. That one, then.
Let's do this one.
- Wow, these cards are huge.
- Alright.
You must use every card
in your decks.
OK, that's a lot of cards.
If we do
- Let's go in the back.
- Or do you want to go here
Ooh, ooh. Let's go right here.
Alright. Cool.
- OK.
- Alright.
OK, baby, baby, baby. Here,
hold this. Hold this. Hold this.
- Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- Put it on top.
You need to put two
You need to do this first.
- Huh?
- So you can put it on the top.
OK, here.
- Or if you just listen to me
- Alright. Put it on top.
No, no. You got to put on top
and hold it. Can you not see?
- We need to double these up.
- Go this side?
No, no, I think
we just double these up.
Alright.
Do you want this one or do you want
to go further down the end?
Yeah. You want me to lay down?
We decided to take
the furthest table away
because we've learnt
from previous challenges.
If you're doing really well, people
are just going to copy your work.
Lean it in a bit.
So we're doing two cards each.
Building a house of cards
is not easy at all.
They're slippery, they're slidy.
Oh, my God. Stop, stop, stop. Come
here. Help me. Help me, help me.
We're doing a bit of engineering,
working out to
Make a nice strong base,
you know?
If you've got a floppy base,
you can't go up.
- This one needs to lean in more.
- Yeah.
Word up!
- What, whoa, whoa, whoa
- Yeah, girl.
We had a big entrance.
I could've blown over
MJ and Chelsea's whole table
with my flamboyant flailing arms.
It's OK. It's OK.
Try and make them
all the same width apart.
So, see that one?
The race is definitely heating up.
We just need to focus and make sure
that we don't make mistakes.
- Nice. That looks good.
- Alright. Over here, babe.
- Where's our table?
- Groovy, baby!
Everyone already made it
to the challenge first.
We're in last place,
and we're just really hoping that
we can make some time up with it.
Try not to knock the table
- Should we take them three off?
- Mm-hm.
- And then try to
- Great idea.
I'm all for it.
- Brendon
- We've got it. It's fine.
I'll give you a fine
in a minute.
We changed our method a few times.
- Oh!
- New method.
New method.
- That one is not working.
- No.
Think this teamwork is really good.
We've got a really good
good rhythm going.
- We're competitors.
- We're here to win.
We're not from wealthy families.
We don't have a lot of money.
Winning $250,000 would make
a huge difference to our lives.
Try and make it more solid?
See what I mean?
You keep looking that way.
For two seconds, yeah, I did.
Don't look that way.
Focus on this for now.
- You don't look that way either.
- OK, I won't. Please.
Like, I know you don't want to do
this challenge, then listen to me.
- I didn't say that.
- You don't like challenges like this.
I know that already.
It was a hard challenge.
I had to take the lead.
Holly doesn't like building things
and her hands were shaking,
but then I'll tell her do something
and she'd want to bite back,
so it was really difficult for us
to get our base structure
up and running.
- You hot? Can you stop blowing?
- OK.
If you keep blowing,
you'll blow it away.
- You just said
- Jesus Christ.
No, no, no. Stop arguing with me.
Just listen.
Honestly.
Whenever you asked for a card,
I gave you the card.
Yeah, but you want to have
your two cents first,
and then give the card.
Gentle hands and soft tread,
and we'll get it done.
Don't. It's going to go.
Why?
And just like that,
I have become a mind-reader.
And also a psychopath.
I think had a sip of water there at
one point and just full of steam.
This is probably
the closest I've been to
really flipping my kettle.
Who created this sick, twisted game?
Please don't start yet.
Yeah.
The challenge was to build
a house of cards using three decks
and build it five storeys high.
We gotta be really careful
placing this.
I understand, I understand.
This was a challenge
that was right up our alley.
My imagination and my
work skills with the construction
definitely helped me with
this card-building challenge.
Alright, we're going to try
and go up.
- We're going to try and go up.
- Do you need to put
We're just going to try and go up.
- Check, please?
- Can we get a check, please?
Oh, wow.
We actually called to get
ours checked first.
And then realised that we had left
one card in the pack.
So, the minute Jake was placing
the last card on
he sort of did it
a little bit abruptly.
It wasn't a great feeling
watching that tower fall back down.
That's OK.
We haven't lost the whole thing.
We haven't lost the whole thing.
Just be very, very, very careful.
The hardest part was hearing
everybody else's cards
toppling behind us.
I'm really nervous.
I'm just really nervous.
I'm nervous. I knocked it.
Ooh. You knocked it again.
- I'm shaking. I'm really shaking.
- OK.
I was so nervous.
My body was physically shaking
and I had to take steps away
to just calm my breath
and and try not to be too nervous.
We got to be really careful
placing this.
I understand, I understand.
If you make one little mistake
on one section of your house,
the whole thing can tumble.
Send the whole thing falling down.
Good boy.
There you go.
Got two?
And this'll be it.
And this'll be it.
Just got to be sure
this one's closer to you. Yeah.
OK. And step away. Be calm.
Just like it's one on the bottom.
- Check, please. Check, please.
- Check, please.
Yes! Yes!
Thank you so much. Good job.
OK, do you want to go
- Shall we
- No!
"Make your way to the roof
of the casino.
"Prepare to go over the side."
Bro, you're kidding, aren't ya?
I'm not comfortable with heights.
I've done some crazy stuff, man.
In this challenge,
teams must come here,
to the rooftop
of the Wrest Point Hotel
and descend 19 storeys.
But before they get to the floor,
they must clean
three floors of windows.
And if they miss any,
they'll have to go back
to the rooftop and start again
behind the other teams.
And once they're done and have
two feet firmly back on the ground,
they'll receive their next clue.
I watched Cliffhanger on the plane.
Why would I watch Cliffhanger
on the plane?
Hey. Look after my kids.
I knew I should've done
Survivor instead.
Let's do it.
Perfect. Perfect.
Ashleigh and I had
a really good system together.
We just tried to go slow
and make sure it was built perfectly
so that it wouldn't fall over.
OK, let's go top level.
I was so nervous.
I just, like, had so much anxiety.
I did not want to knock
our tower over.
I don't like it. I don't like it.
Not too much pressure
- Nup.
- No?
Oh, no!
Alright. Let's start again,
start again, start again.
- Don't worry.
- Yep, yep.
Oh, shit, girls.
That was so close.
Check, please.
- Thank you very much.
- Thank you.
- Thank you so much.
- Thank you very much, appreciate it.
After the hiccup
of the tower falling down,
we did manage to come out second,
which was a great result
considering we got there last.
Good luck, guys.
Good job, mate. Well done.
Yeah
So we race up to the rooftop,
so excited, ready to
carry on this race,
because we knew we were ahead.
We had to wash three floors
of windows to get a high shine.
And you could only go down.
You couldn't go back up.
- Alright.
- So you ready to go?
Yes, I am.
We're pretty happy that
we're behind Chris and Aleisha
because we know we are more
comfortable abseiling down
than they are going to be.
There we go.
Skye-Blue is
an abseil instructor,
so I'm thinking, "Crap"
OK. Right.
Oh, shit, shit.
You looked over there and I
looked to see where you were looking.
No, I didn't.
I didn't look over there I didn't look
over at anything. Don't blame me.
Don't push in on that card too much,
yeah?
It's OK, it's OK, it's OK, it's OK.
It's fine.
Gentle, gentle.
Whaa!
We started descending and
we reached our first row of windows.
- And then I look over
- Oh!
- Baby
- I didn't see it.
You're going to have to do
the whole level.
- I made a huge error.
- Just went straight past the window.
Sorry, I was going too fast.
That is a huge mistake.
I knew that that was a good chance
we could be passed.
Um, I might start the next windows.
We continually lose first place.
It's kind of what we do.
- That hurt a lot.
- Oh!
- Please try and reach that last window.
- I am!
It seemed absolutely impossible
to get over to that last window
on Aleisha's side.
- There's a loop at the bottom of the
- Hang on!
There's nothing we can do.
And I was like, "You have to do
all four windows."
Aleisha, look. Look at me.
- Yeah.
- How am I supposed to reach that?
Then we've got the decision
to make -
do we just go all the way down
and start again
or do I try to get across to
her windows and try to clean those?
Pull anything you can. Did you do it?
Ah, no.
If we decided to go to the bottom
and start all over again
we'd be in dead last place.
- You said you were Focus on this.
- Yeah. Yeah, yeah.
I was looking at what
Jake and Skye did.
OK.
I think if I had a set of matches,
I'd burn it.
That's my honest opinion.
Check, please.
- Yes!
- Awesome. Wow.
We killed it.
It was a really good challenge.
Alright. Let's go.
We're pretty happy that
we beat Chris and Aleisha
and we finished first.
- Hello.
- How are you?
- Thank you very much. Thank you.
- Thank you so much. Thank you.
OK, Fast Forward.
"Fast Forward available.
"Complete this task and you can go
directly to the Pit Stop."
A Fast Forward is a challenge
only one team can complete
but multiple teams can attempt.
Basically,
it's first in, best dressed,
or in this challenge,
it'll be first in, best undressed.
Now, once the team successfully
completes the Fast Forward,
they'll skip every other leg
of the day
and go straight to the Pit Stop.
In this challenge,
one team will re-enact the famous
midwinter solstice nude swim
here in Tasmania.
They'll strip down their birthday
suit, swim out to that pontoon,
retrieve their clue and swim in.
Which will tell them to meet me
directly at the Pit Stop.
Ahh! Cold! Whoa! Whoaaa!
That's freezing cold, man.
I reckon we do it.
Just don't look at me if I'm naked.
- And I'm not going to look at you.
- Let's go.
The brother/sister combo
naked at Long Beach,
it's probably not ideal
for television.
I think we're both
pretty comfortable
doing a streak or nudie run,
but not together.
- Probably not together.
- No.
Oh, God
OK.
So I was like
Ah-ah-ah. See what I mean?
Yeah. Told you so.
Shit.
Yes, Amanda. Nice.
- Check, please.
- Check, check, check.
Thank you. Thank you so much.
We were super happy when we got past
but we were trying not to
move around too much
because we didn't want to knock our
card towers over or anyone else's.
Come on. Put the squeegee
away and you can crawl over.
Trust me.
Aleisha, I'm trying to do it.
Can you trust me as well?
Because Aleisha is past
the window already,
we had to get to that last window
on Aleisha's side.
- Yeah.
- So I just started swinging.
And I would do a little
little stroke.
And then on the swing back
I'd squeegee it.
It was really hard work.
OK, baby, I think that's it.
OK. I'm so proud of you.
OK, go down. Go down.
Not a bad view, yeah.
Especially on a day like this.
I can't say I've ever abseiled
off the side of a building
- and washed windows, no.
- No.
- I'm exhausted.
- You good, MJ?
Yeah.
This is so difficult.
Looks like MJ and Chelsea
are right on our heels.
I've done one window.
Now I've gotta do this other one.
- Ohh!
- What's up?
My man parts don't feel great
after that.
Luckily we still finished
in second place.
- Yes! Thank you so much.
- Thank you so much.
See, I'm so glad you didn't give up.
Look at that rip.
It's a Roadblock.
- And a
- And a Fast Forward.
Fast Forward.
We look at the Fast Forward
and we knew that Skye-Blue and Jake
were ahead of us so we thought
they would have definitely done it,
we have to move on with the race.
It's a Roadblock.
Who's a good shot?
Maybe me?
A Roadblock is a challenge
that only one team member
must choose to complete
based on a cryptic clue.
Teams must come here to the historic
Taroona Shot Tower,
the last of its kind in the world.
It's here that molten lead would be
dripped from the top of the tower,
down into cold water below,
naturally forming a lead shot.
The chosen team member
will have to walk up
and correctly count
the tower's 318 winding steps.
Once they've got the correct answer,
they'll drop a shot
all the way from the top of the tower
into a bucket 60m below
to receive their next clue.
What do you think about
the Fast Forward?
If anyone can do it,
it's Skye-Blue and Jake.
There's definitely gonna be
photos of Jake naked
out there on the internet now.
Maybe there were before,
I don't know.
Deep breath.
- Check, please.
- Check, please.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Just trying to beat the cowboys.
Ah!
No.
It's alright, it's alright.
- I got ya. OK.
- Yeah, good, do that.
Good teamwork. Really good one.
That was awesome.
Thanks.
I was stoked to jump
off the side of the building
and I just started flying down
looking for the first window,
found that
and started cleaning immediately.
Come on, Ash!
Yeah, I'm coming.
- You happy?
- I'm happy.
Yeah.
- Look how clean they look.
- Whoo!
See you later!
Whoo!
Ooh!
- Yes! Thank you so much.
- Yes! Thanks very much.
- Appreciate it. Thank you.
- Awesome.
OK. Roadblock. "Who's a good shot?"
- Who's a good shot?
- Who's a good shot? You? Me?
My gut instinct was the Fast Forward
had already been done,
so we ended up heading
to the Roadblock.
Alright, let's go. Cool.
OK. Shot tower entrance.
Here we go.
You're welcome to climb to the top.
I really have no idea
what a shot tower is but we know
I have to run up and down
and count every single step there.
- Good luck. Be fast.
- OK. Thank you.
I had a strategy in place.
There's usually groups of stairs.
Two, one, two, three, four, five
..seven, eight, nine
And I counted each group rather than
counting into the possibly
hundreds at a time.
One, two, three, four, five, six,
seven, eight, nine, ten.
Which was smarter because
if you got halfway up and lost count,
you'd be screwed.
Gonna recount some, right?
Just be careful.
Yep, yep.
One, two, three
He could just write down each
group of stairs,
calculate them together at the end
and he'd have his results.
Chris and I love history.
We just find it all so interesting.
One, two, three, four, five, six
We're always those nerds that stay
way too long at museums
and they're trying to kick us out
at the end of the day.
Three, four, five, six
- How is it, Anurag?
- It's good.
- Once you step off, it's good.
- Alright, awesome.
I worked in plenty of
corporate officers.
I've always wanted to do it. And I
know Anurag is in the same boat too.
It looks cool.
It's so much fun going down.
Don't zoom in. My wedgie is hurting
some serious amount.
Pretty funny.
It's not funny.
- Good?
- Yep, yep, let's go.
You'll be right, mate.
- Thank you! Thank you so much!
- Let's go, let's go.
Fast Forward.
I reckon just go
straight for the Roadblock.
Yep, yep.
"Who is a good shot?"
Alright, I'll do it.
I'm about to get naked.
I'm just trying to postpone it
as long as possible.
Reading the Fast Forward,
it did happen to say that
we had to swim naked together
to a pontoon in the ocean.
Oh, wow.
Fast Forward. Cool.
It was a fully packed beach
and I was shocked that I was about to
get naked in front of them.
See you when I'm naked.
Didn't stop us, though.
Alright. I'll meet you out there.
You're gonna wait for me.
Don't look!
Good?
You good?
My strategy was just make sure that
Jake was far enough away
that he couldn't see me and
he wasn't allowed to turn around.
Could only see
my big white arse.
It was a little bit cold,
so it made me a lot more streamlined
than I would originally be.
Hello, Australia!
On the way back,
I was doing some duck diving.
Oh, my God!
Making sure my big white butt
made an appearance.
After today there is nothing
I won't do for this race.
I'm here to win.
OK. Route info.
OK. "Grab a kayak at
Purdon & Featherstone Reserve.
"Paddle to find Beau
on the Lady Nelson
"for your floating Pit Stop at the
Sydney to Hobart finish line.
"Hurry. The last team to arrive
may be eliminated."
Tasmania has played host
to some of the biggest
and best sailing ships
in maritime history.
From William Bligh's Bounty famed
mutiny back in 1788,
to the famous winners of the annual
Sydney to Hobart yacht race.
Teams will meet me here
on this replica
of the 222-year-old Lady Nelson,
where one team may be eliminated.
At the Pit Stop, for the 16th leg
of The Amazing Race Australia.
Iceberg!
- Let's go.
- Let's go.
Quick, quick, quick.
- What about the rest?
- That's the last two.
- We put them
- Alright.
Careful. Careful.
- Check, please.
- Check, please.
- Yes!
- Thank you.
- Thank you so much.
- Thank you, thank you.
- Thank you. Good work.
- At last. At last.
We got there first and we knew
we were gonna be leaving last.
- Get the hell out of here.
- Let's go.
- Good luck, boys.
- Well done.
We always try and keep cool,
calm and collected with whatever
we're doing wherever it is.
But at this point
we were the last team.
We just wanted it to be finished
and be done with.
Why is it moving?
Timber.
Oh, my
It's so scary.
OK. Oh, my God.
I don't feel the tightness.
Ooh. I heard a little click.
Everything safe on this one?
I just want to look down.
If I look down I'll start screaming.
I am not the biggest fan of heights.
So I was very uneasy.
I really don't want to do this
at all. At all.
Dolor really had to step up
and help me, which he did,
because I just kept spinning around
and around.
- You've got to hold something.
- I'm trying.
- I am but I keep moving.
- Why do you keep spinning?
I don't know. I wish I knew.
I'm not trying to make myself spin.
Hold this little thing.
This is no easy job.
I'm pretty happy with these two.
Are we done?
Yep. Let's go. Yep.
- Alright.
- Oh, that feels good.
Oh! Freedom, eh?
- Congratulations.
- Thank you.
- Thank you.
- Thank you.
Thanks, mate. Cheers.
Cheers, thank you.
Let's go, let's go.
Ooh!
Roadblock and Fast Forward.
We didn't want to risk
going for a Fast Forward,
not being able to do that
and then having to come back
to do a Roadblock.
We also knew behind us we have
Holly, Dolor and the cowboys.
It would have been great TV to see
both of us without our shirts
and pants on.
But sorry, guys, we're gonna have to
wait until next time.
Who wants to do it?
I think you should do it.
- I'll do it.
- You're a better shot.
A good shot. Let's go.
Did you find page 85
that I had marked?
Yeah, but where did it say
that you
Just down the bottom
where it says 'getting there'.
Oh, shot tower.
While we were at the airport
in Brisbane,
Ashleigh and I had some spare time
and a bit of extra leg money,
so we thought, why don't
we buy a travel guide on Tasmania
so it just made it a bit easier
with navigation.
Which is totally not cheating.
It's within the rules.
Shot tower is
- Where is the
- 318 steps.
On our way to the shot tower
Amanda in the back flicked through
and she saw the shot tower
and she was like,
"Blah-blah, there's 318 steps there."
"Give the correct number of stairs
to the judges"
Oh, my God.
We know the stairs already.
We just read it in the guidebook.
There's 318 steps.
One, two, three, four, six,
six, seven, eight, nine
OK.
I think this is more
my type of Roadblock.
I think it's a good decision
that I chose to do this one.
So 110 and 90, that's 200.
I am a bit of a nerd.
I love my spreadsheets.
60 plus 40 is another 100,
so that's 300.
What's the highest number
that you know?
Ah, good question. Infinity.
And there are many different
types of infinity, so,
that question can't be answered
mathematically correctly.
Nerd, nerd.
Um, there are 318 stairs
in this tower.
Yes!
- That's awesome. OK.
- And here's your shot.
Oh, that's awesome!
Aleisha, I'm comin' down.
Yes, baby, I love you. Good job.
- Yay!
- So, pretty happy we did it in one shot.
That was fun.
I'm a little bit dizzy.
- Good job, baby.
- It's round and round.
OK, detour.
A detour is a choice between
two challenges,
each with its own pros and cons.
Here, teams must choose between
Sweets or Spirits.
Tasmania is known for its boutique
brands and delicacies.
So teams that choose Sweets will come
to Coal River Farm,
makers of some of the finest
chocolates in the country.
Here they have to
lick their way through
a giant-sized
piece of chocolate art
weighing a whopping 4.5 kilos.
That's like eating 22
family-sized chocky bars.
Once they've done that,
they'll find a hidden message
telling them the location of
their next clue.
They then need to head out
onto the farm
and search for Chilli
the goat's house
where their next clue
is waiting for them.
Sound sweet?
It's more like death by chocolate.
Teams that choose Spirits
must come down here to
the Tasmanian Cask Co.
and adopt the age-old tradition of
whisky barrel making.
Now, team members must work together
to reassemble a whisky barrel.
If you thought it was gonna be easy,
you are wrong.
Only after the barrel has passed
the cooper's high standards
will they get their next clue.
Where do we start?
- Spirits it is.
- Spirits it is? OK. Let's go.
We got our clue from the fast forward
and it was straight to the Pit Stop.
We knew we had to jump in some kayaks
and head off to find a boat.
I'm absolutely stoked
with our achievements
and what we've been doing,
and very proud of you for everything
that you've been doing.
I am proud of you.
We did really well today.
- For sure.
- Yeah.
Arr, matey.
Arr, me hearties.
The Pit Stop was a pirate ship.
All I need is a hook and
then I'm like Captain Hook.
You're helping, aren't you?
Oh!
I almost made it not wet.
Wow!
Welcome aboard the Lady Nelson
and to Hobart.
- Thank you very much.
- Thank you.
Skye-Blue and Jake, you are
the first team to check in.
Great work.
You've both won $5,000 cash
and free Subway for a year.
- What? Yes!
- Big thanks to Subway there.
You like heights, you like water,
this really was your leg, eh?
It really was. And I like being naked,
just maybe not around my sister.
Yeah, let's not do that again.
Bring it in, man. Good stuff.
Good to see ya.
Go get some Subway, go get some cash.
I'll see you later.
- Thank you.
- See you, guys.
I'm absolutely stoked. If we can
win this one, we can win the last one.
We were the last team there.
We've had a roller-coaster ride.
We've been up the top and down the
bottom, so it just goes to show ya,
just one challenge
can throw you back out.
Come here and help me.
Yeah.
Check, please.
Pretty please.
Oh, yeah.
Thank you.
What a quick five-minute job
that was. Thanks, mate.
- Thank you.
- Thanks, mate.
Get out, you bugger!
- Let's go!
- Finally completed the challenge.
We were the first team to get there
and we were the last team to leave.
Youse too. I'm sick of all of youse.
Shot tower entrance.
I was doing the Roadblock.
- Good luck!
- Thank you.
MJ was definitely the right girl
for the job.
Here we go.
It's super bad she's doing it.
Because I'm the forgetful one and
I'd get up to like 17 and be like,
"18? 16? What was I up to? 20?"
I am a teacher, I haven't taught
maths in a little while, but,
I do like Sudoku and I like numbers.
Here. And the notepad.
This leg has been great.
We're at the head of the pack,
so we're feeling pretty excited.
We decided to do the Spirits detour.
Today you'll be building
a 100-litre whisky barrel.
I mean, I don't know about
you, but I haven't done that before.
I haven't done that before.
OK, demonstration. Let's go.
Whoo!
That was cool.
So see how there's bigger
ones and smaller ones?
Yep.
So we see the demonstration and
they make it look incredibly easy.
We're taking notes as we watch.
We get all those little details.
They get it done in probably
two or three minutes.
It looks very simple,
so we're feeling pretty confident.
Enjoy.
I actually think this is
right up our alley.
Really it's just a puzzle, isn't it?
Yeah, we really like puzzles.
What did I give you? Big.
Small.
- It feels a bit wonky, I don't know why.
- Yeah.
That was pretty fun.
- Keep going?
- Yeah, we're done now.
Just slide down to the end.
Congratulations.
- Beautiful.
- Thank you.
- Thank you.
- Ooh.
Oh, what's this?
- Fast Forward.
- Roadblock or Fast Forward.
- Fast Forward's been taken, so
- Yeah, Roadblock it is.
"Who's got a good shot?"
- Easy. Let's go.
- Let's go.
When we actually got down,
we saw the Cowboys and they were
just about to get started,
so we knew we had about
a 30-minute lead on them,
so we were feeling really confident.
MJ is like a challenge beast, so
she'll nail this first go, I reckon.
- Hello, how are you?
- Good. How are you?
- 318.
- Yes.
Thank you very much.
- And there's your sinker.
- Oh, awesome.
I can't really hear
any more footsteps.
She would have just powered up there.
I told you she'd smash it.
Counting was on point.
Detour. OK.
Reckon we lick a chocolate?
It's probably going to be massive,
but, yeah, we can do that.
- Let's do that. We're gonna do Sweets.
- Sweets.
Here it is.
To be honest, I'm glad you're doing
this because my legs are sore.
But, still count anyway,
because if they're not marked
Yes, yes, yes. Of course.
Let's go.
I going to put my hair up.
Do you have a strategy for
remembering what number you're up to?
- Yes, yeah, I got it.
- Good luck.
OK, thanks, babe.
- I need a paper. I need the whole thing.
- Work out whatever you need.
We've just abseiled down a tower,
now we've got to climb up one.
Well, you, not me, so I was fine.
I was fine with it.
Alright. Take a deep breath.
You count however
best works for you, dude.
You've got to drop it down
from the top into there.
Dude, stop talking.
What I give you? Big. Here's small.
We get started on the challenge
and it's a lot harder than we
thought it was going to be.
Still a bit wonky.
I don't know why.
Can you step away and tell me?
Tell me why it's wonky.
It's because the feet are not
close enough together.
It's kind of like a puzzle
where all the pieces don't really
fit together properly.
- Do you think they've given us extras?
- No.
- How is it not fitting?
- Can you push forwards?
Oh, wait, wait, wait,
wait, wait, wait, wait.
Ooh.
- And soon as one fell it was like
- Yeah.
..the rest of the barrel fell apart.
But we just had to barrel on. You know?
Alright.
- Hello. Hello.
- Hi.
We rocked up to the
chocolate licking farm.
Um the Coal River Farm.
Oh, smells like chocolate.
- Hey, guys, how are you?
- Hello. How are you?
- Ooh, wow. Smells so good in here.
- How are you going? This one.
- This first easel?
- Wow. OK.
For this challenge, we had to lick
all the chocolate and read our
- Message.
- ..message.
That would lead us to our next clue.
I love chocolate.
It's probably my cheat food.
- Wow, that's nice.
- Mm.
The first couple of licks
were great.
Ergh!
However, this was a lot,
How thick is this chocolate? I feel
like I haven't even made an indent.
Can you see anything?
Nuh.
We started using a little bit
of our teeth.
Just chomping away at it.
This is hard.
- 318.
- Yes.
Thank you.
Let's just we were super lucky
that we had the guidebook
because we may have had to keep
redoing this again.
Yes!
Go!
Detour.
- Sweets or Spirits?
- Sweets.
We chose Sweets because
I love chocolate
and I've been waiting for a
chocolate eating challenge.
- Yes, Sweet.
- OK, let's go.
Dolor's very physically fit.
Probably the fittest person
in this whole race,
so this is definitely his challenge.
He's really good with maths as well.
I've been looking for a Roadblock
that's actually physically challenging.
It's really important right now,
because we have the Cowboys
right behind us.
They're going to kill this abseiling
window cleaning challenge.
So we've got to keep our lead
and not end last, really.
Nice. There we go.
The windows were filthy,
but they're clean now.
- Congratulations.
- Legend.
- Thank you very much. Appreciate it.
- Have a good day.
Oh, no.
- Roadblock - "Who's a good shot?"
- You.
- Righto, let's go.
- Let's go.
- Hey, there.
- Hi.
- 318. Thank you.
- Yes.
Well done.
- Alrighty.
- Detour, baby.
"Lick a piece of chocolate art
"until you reveal the location
of your next clue."
- That sounds fun. Sweet.
- Let's go Sweet.
That window's open. It's alright.
We finally got there.
We're working good as a team right
now, so we're off to our next Roadblock.
- Good luck.
- Thank you.
I'm not giving any encouragement
to Dolor
because I don't want to
throw him off.
It was a bit of cardio,
it wasn't that tiring.
So I think if I stay quiet
and let him stay quiet inside
..he's sure to kill it.
I started counting,
I had a sort of technique,
when I got up there, I sort of
forgot if I said 300 or 400.
Um
..428.
No, sorry.
It's not 428 steps?
- What number did you choose?
- Doesn't matter.
I've been counting stairs
and I got it wrong still.
I have "Go".
Just take it off.
I've got "Chilli."
OK, work on the house.
- Oh! "Chilli's"
- House?
"Go to Chilli's house."
Let's go find Chilli.
I don't want any more chocolate
for a very long time.
Where's Chilli's house? How are we
going to find Chilli's house?
- That's it there, Jacko.
- That's a shot tower? Alright.
- So every stair.
- Have fun with that.
You're pretty thorough with
your counting and that,
so don't stuff it up,
you'll do fine.
He's really angry at the
moment and frustrated
because he has been up around
1,200 steps right now,
so hopefully he gets it this time.
Please, 317.
- No, sorry.
- You're joking!
It's not 317?
Ohhhh.
You can do it, brother.
So, the Cowboys now arrive
and the pressure's on.
Come on, Jacko.
Push it out there, bra.
It was my Roadblock that put us
at the back of the pack.
I was confident I could just get
in there and get it done.
Let's go, girl. Let's get licking.
Alrighty. Let's do this.
Whoa, OK.
I'm lactose intolerant.
I don't eat dairy.
I'm mainly vegan.
So I was thinking this might be
a bit tough for me.
How big is this thing?
Where's the clue?
I was worrying a little bit about
how long I'm going to be
on the toilet after this.
Oh, my God.
It's not funny.
- The poos aren't funny.
- I know, it's not funny.
But here I am having
a great time.
Oh, my God.
This is like my dream.
- I love chocolate.
- This is not my dream.
Oh, God.
Oh, my God.
- Are you OK?
- Yeah.
Oh. Oh, my God.
I'm feeling so sick.
I can see writing!
This is so annoying.
288?
No, sorry.
I feel like if I was doing it,
I would have got it already.
Ooh.
OK.
Going up and down, up and down,
consistently wrong,
you know, it was pretty,
yeah, tiring.
- You've got stairs in your house.
- Obviously.
I'm just saying if you were to
count the same thing.
So, like, you know, like one stair,
two stairs, I think.
We're at the bottom
with Holly and Dolor.
Looks like one of us is going
to be eliminated this leg.
I'm thinking I'm gonna say one, two,
and I'm not counting that,
I think I might have to go,
one, two, three.
After five failed attempts
Oh, God.
..I was completely over it,
I was just really over the day.
- I counted 318. Oh.
- Yes.
That sounded like Dolor
just got his.
Could have done.
I think in this challenge,
Holly would have been better off
because she's more precise
and counts slowly.
Good stuff, mate. Thanks, buddy.
Detour. What do you reckon?
Last time we did building
it didn't work.
But it's up to you.
- Alright, Sweets it is.
- OK. Let's go.
Now, I am worried.
We could be going home if Jacko
don't get this one right.
I went up and I counted them
and I got 317
and the top one changed from
timber to steel.
I was like, "Oh do I count it?
Do I not count it?"
317?
You're joking.
How are we going to find
Chilli's house?
- Let's quickly look.
- OK.
Get the map out.
Oh, my gosh. I feel sick.
- Hurry up.
- OK.
We grabbed our map and there was
no place called Chilli's house on there.
And then we noticed the little red
shed with writing on it.
Chilli's house.
- Oh!
- There's Chilli's house.
How do we get in?
- Oh, there's a gate over there.
- Yeah, you do that.
Dammit!
- Are you OK?
- No, I got a splinter.
Well, leave the fence jumping
to the professionals.
Ahhh.
"Grab a kayak and make
your way to the Pit Stop."
OK. Let's go.
Player kicked on. Whoo!
Ooh, ooh, ooh, don't pull it.
And we have to try to get this last
piece in.
- Look these must squeeze around a bit.
- Yeah.
So we have that up a bit
now and they're all in line.
Yeah.
- Now this one will fit a bit better.
- OK.
The challenge here is to build
a whisky barrel
and we'd been there
for about an hour already.
I don't know.
We have one piece of wood,
we don't know what to do with.
- Gosh.
- So
We did try just squishing it in
and then we realised,
OK, we're going to have to actually
figure out what's going wrong here.
Can you go that way just ever
so slightly?
- And just
- Try that now.
I think you've got to come up
from the outside in.
Oh, yes. Good thinking.
You can't just force the
puzzle pieces together.
Yeah.
You really have to make sure
everything's angled properly.
Does that fit in when I put it on?
Let's just see.
Oh, thank God.
- Check, please.
- Check, please.
- Oh, yes!
- I was so worried.
I don't think they'll actually
use our barrel.
They'll probably have to redo it.
- Thank you!
- Thank you so much.
Wasn't as perfect as the pros, but
I think we did a bloody good job.
"Grab a kayak and make your way to
the Pit Stop.
"Hurry, the last team to arrive
may be eliminated."
- Perfect.
- Here, here, here.
Eating chocolate as a challenge.
Surely this can't be too hard.
Oh, I'm excited.
Oh, mate, tastes amazing.
- I love white chocolate.
- I love white chocolate.
The initial technique? We do the
I wonder how deep we've gotta go?
And then we slowly realise,
we're going to be here all day long.
On the way down use your teeth.
And now we're trying
this new technique.
I can't, my nose is too big.
I've got a big nose and big chin.
How do you use your teeth?
My front two teeth,
yeah, they're perfect.
Who would have thought overbite
would be an advantage?
What's happening?
I think I just need to
add one more number.
You'll be right, son.
I didn't know what he was doing.
I thought he was just poking around
the bloody building.
Mate, you can't count to ten.
Hence it was your
Roadblock. Didn't have to count.
Alright.
- Yes. There you go.
- Beautiful.
Whoo!
Just right, dude.
Boom, baby.
Let's get out of here.
Thanks, mate.
We've been in last place all day.
We need to catch up
or we're going home.
Oh, good rip. Wanna do Sweets?
- Sweets.
- Righto. Let's go.
You know there's probably random
words somewhere else as well, right?
To something Chills, yeah?
Do some random diagonal.
Hobart.
Out?
- Can you keep doing that?
- Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I can do more than you.
There's just so much.
I haven't ever eaten
this much chocolate.
I feel like I'm going to vomit.
- Go to Chilli's house.
- OK. Let's go. Let's go.
Maybe Chilli is someone
who owns this place?
We're trying to look for
Chilli's house.
I'm not sure.
We're running around like headless
chickens asking everyone,
"Where's Chilli's house,
where's Chilli's house?"
- Chilli is part of your team?
- Yeah.
- Do you think we can walk around?
- Thank you.
Thank you.
Someone with white hair, she said.
We checked all this, yeah?
Look, there's a goat.
Chilli did have white hair,
because it was a goat.
Thanks, Chilli.
"Grab a kayak and make your way
to the Pit Stop."
Let's go, let's go, let's go.
"Using only your mouth,
"lick the chocolate to reveal
the words underneath."
I don't want to lick anything,
let's do barrel.
The chocolate shop's closer.
You want to do it?
Let's just do that.
- Do you wanna do it?
- It's settled, we're doing the chocolate.
- Yeah, 'cause last time we did building
- OK, let's do chocolate.
- Do you reckon that's all the words?
- Yeah.
"Go to Chilli's house."
Chilli's house. There, there, there.
Is that Chilli's house? The goat?
Oh, my gosh. It is. It is.
Hello!
Alright, let's go, let's go.
"And make your way to the Pit Stop.
Hurry, last team will be eliminated."
Your mother didn't send you
to school for 12 bloody years
to not count probably.
It's amazing how one challenge
can throw you so far back
- and it's hard to work your way up again.
- Yeah.
Running up and down there,
like that.
Mate, don't I feel like
Cathy Freeman.
I really don't want
to do this at all.
I like chocolate, but I didn't
want to lick any chocolate.
It didn't sound like something
I wanted to do.
But this could be a quicker detour,
hopefully.
The clue's underneath this.
- Take half each?
- Alright.
- OK.
- OK.
It's actually not too bad.
So we should be able to smash this
out in like five or ten minutes.
Let's go.
Holly and I decided she'll be the licker on
the left side, I'll lick on the right side.
- Don't lick past here.
- I won't.
But as I was licking,
she'd be licking too
and just seeing that,
it just turned me off.
Watching you,
I feel like I'm gonna vomit.
Don't watch. You won't see me.
I can't watch you.
I'll probably vomit.
OK.
Nah, I still see you. No, I can't.
I think we can smash this out
pretty quickly.
Doing the challenge would be gross,
you know, seeing that tongue.
I don't even like watching Holly
brush her teeth.
Holly likes to brush her teeth
and walk out to the living room.
And I just don't want to see it.
Looks like there's a word here.
- Whoa.
- Yeah.
Maybe you can go up there
a little bit?
Once I start licking chocolate
I told you I didn't want to do it.
I really wanted Dolor
to keep licking, even just his side,
but he refused to do that.
I was just really grossed out
by the challenge.
We could have been done by now
if you just helped me.
Why don't you get a massage
while you're waiting?
- It's up to you.
- But I can't build.
Then just watch me do it, then.
The last building challenge
we did in Alice Springs
was the worst challenge we ever did.
- Oh
- Do you want to change?
And we came last.
So, after that challenge, we agreed never
to do another building challenge again.
Why can't you just
compromise with me once?
I've done half of it.
I don't want to do any
You can do it all
- I'll do 70% of it.
- No, no.
You're gonna do 30%.
Why are you being so hard
to deal with right now?
We could get this done
in 20 minutes, max.
I really didn't want to come here
to begin with.
You know, people do things
all the time in life
that they don't want to do.
But they just suck up and do it.
But you clearly think
that you're above all that.
You're really frustrating me.
You won't help me at all.
- Hey, Bren?
- Yeah, mate.
Just thinking,
this Detour is the best one
because the three things
in your life you eat
is McDonald's, steak and chips
and chocolate.
And this is the challenge for you.
Yeah, it's locked.
Our clue from Chilli's house
Go that way.
..was sending us to
Purdon and Featherstone Reserve
to grab a kayak so we could paddle
to Beau on the Lady Nelson boat.
Left, right.
Whoo!
We are.
- You don't need that one clue.
- No.
It's pretty scary, not knowing
what position you're in.
We haven't seen any other teams.
Hey, guys. Has anyone else
come this way?
Has anyone else come down this way?
- Oh, good.
- So, we might be second.
- Alright!
- Whoo!
This is amazing.
We've actually not kayaked together
before, so we're really excited.
- Yes, we have.
- Um What?
- Yes, we have. Thailand.
- Have we? When?
Can we speed up a bit?
There's our boat. Straight ahead.
You can see the flag.
The red and yellow flag.
Oh, yeah. Yeah.
Is it hard to climb up the back of
the boat on the ladder there?
Uh, look, I think
it'd be fairly difficult
because, uh, normally we'd climb up
a rope ladder up the side,
so you're against the side
of the ship.
There you go.
Whereas they come off the transom
and it's air.
- You good?
- Yeah, I'm good.
And they haven't slept
for 15 weeks as well, so
- Oh.
- ..it catches up with you.
- Oh, awesome!
- Ah.
Welcome to the Lady Nelson
and to Hobart.
- Thank you so much.
- Captain.
MJ and Chelsea, you are
the second team to check in.
Yeah! Awesome.
We were team number two!
- Terrific effort. Well done.
- Thanks, mate.
I have no idea
how you're getting back to land
but it's that way - it's that way.
- Jump overboard, right?
- Yep.
See ya.
Send coffee, please.
Whoa!
These two are vegans
and they've got more energy
than anyone I've ever met.
Whoo! This is tricky.
They're very tough.
- Hey.
- G'day.
Welcome aboard the Lady Nelson
and to Hobart.
- Thanks for having us.
- Thank you so much.
This is stunning.
Chris and Aleisha,
you are the third team to check in.
I'm a little disappointed.
Happy we're still in the race
and not eliminated
but disappointed we
We woke up this morning thinking
we could have got a first for this one.
Yeah.
- Alright. Enjoy Hobart?
- We're lovin' Hobart.
- Yeah, lovely.
- 'Cause this is international waters.
We can Can we do what we want
out here or no?
- I can't marry them.
- Oh
- We're already married.
- We're already married.
I can't divorce you.
- That's alright.
- Not yet.
- Not there yet.
- Alright, well, congratulations.
You're still in the Race
and, uh, you're still alive.
I don't know how you're getting
back to land but it is that way.
- See you, guys. Well done.
- Thanks, guys.
Well, can you at least hold
the board for me while I lick.
So, I went to the back
to hold the board
and stop it from wobbling,
and that's when I realised I could
see the spots where the words were
and I could direct Holly
where to lick.
I can see it. Can you see it?
- Come stand where I am
- Yeah, I got it, I got it. Yeah, I got it.
We should have looked at it
at the back to begin with.
"Go to"
Move around.
"..Chilli's"
And then start from that point,
downwards.
- I'm gonna do it down.
- Yeah.
"Go to Chilli's
"..house."
Welcome aboard the Lady Nelson
and to Hobart.
- Thank you, Captain.
- Aye-aye, Captain.
Jaskirat and Anurag, you are
the fourth team to check in.
- Oh, we climbed a spot. Yes!
- Well done. That's it.
We've come into this
always being confident.
We knew that we were gonna
give it our all.
The more we've pushed ourselves,
the more we've seen results.
- Good job, boys.
- Thank you, Beau.
Say bye to the Captain.
It's his ship.
Well done.
See you, boys.
- I feel like I'm gonna vomit.
- Awesome.
Here we go. Here's the girls.
Here we go.
These girls are comin' in fast.
- Welcome aboard the Lady
Nelson and to Hobart. - Thank you!
Ashleigh and Amanda,
you are the fifth team to check in.
- Thank you.
- Thank you.
We're in fifth today,
which isn't our best day.
But we're still here,
so that's the main thing.
- Well done, girls. Terrific effort.
- Thanks, Beau.
You're still in. Say thank you
to the Captain. It's his boat.
Thanks for having us on your boat.
And just make your way
back to Hobart.
- Alright, paddle back.
- We'll just step in and swim.
Yeah, you just do your thing.
Thank you.
That bushfire feels like
it's getting closer.
Chilli's house.
What's that mean - "Chilli's house"?
I don't know. Let's ask someone.
Maybe there's a sign.
Is that Chilli's house?
OK, yeah, let's have a look.
What a day.
What a day.
You know, we were in last place
all day.
- We just dig in, yeah?
- Yeah, bro.
Dig in.
Get that tongue goin', son.
You gotta just, uh, accept
that you can be elminated.
Just make a real pig of yourself.
There's no point
in getting angry about it.
That's my licking area.
So, we have a laugh about it
and a joke about it.
Oh, no!
Just lost a tooth!
- You wanna ask the lady in the store?
- OK.
Excuse me, do you know how to get
to Chilli's House?
Ooh, you might need to check outside
the property out there somewhere.
- OK.
- OK, alright.
OK, thanks.
We thought Chilli was a person.
That's a house right there.
A house right there.
- Anyone in there?
- That doesn't look like a house.
There's a house across the road
over there.
We could always drive maybe
up there. Yeah, let's try.
The Cowboys are on our tail.
So I thought it was important to get
in the car to go find Chilli's House
as fast as we could.
Let's go.
We're looking for
Chilli's House.
But we just have no idea.
Holly drove up and found a house
with some guy cooking.
Hi. Excuse me.
Is this Chilli's House?
Yeah.
We were asking for Chilli
at people's front door.
Would you happen to
know where Chilli's House is?
Chilli's House.
- No, that's alright.
- OK. Thank you.
He had no idea who Chilli was.
Nearly there.
Finish it off. Come on.
It goes down to here.
I'm not going to that.
I'm doing this one.
You finish yours, I'll do that.
I think we're last. I've got no idea
how far ahead the others are.
Big strokes. Big finish.
We want to try and set an example to
the kids that no matter how bad it is,
with whatever you're doing in life,
that you can always
make a joke out of it
and just move forward.
Perseverance is everything, really.
"Go to Chilli's house."
I remembered seeing
there was a red
Little teepee looking things there.
Like a chook house.
There's Chilli.
Chilli.
"Grab a kayak and make your way
to the Pit Stop.
- "Last team to arrive may be eliminated."
- Cool.
It's gonna come down
to the wire here.
- Alright?
- Yep.
We stop back
here, Dolor, and have a look?
Yeah, sure.
Gonna go back and have a look
outside the chocolate shop.
Chilli's House.
I think it's down there.
When I pulled back into the driveway
of the chocolate shop,
I saw Chilli's House.
Quick.
That goat's a bit aggressive.
I just wanted to get in and out of
Chilli's house because
the goat looked aggressive.
You never know, I've seen some
wild goats out there.
- You got it? Yes!
- Yeah.
Quick. Let's go.
- Can you help me?
- Huh?
Thank you.
"Make your way to the Pit Stop.
"Hurry. The last team to arrive
may be eliminated."
Let's go.
Go, baby.
You could just tell from
building a house of cards,
it was gonna be us or the Cowboys
who were gonna be in second
or last place.
Just a bad start.
This leg hasn't gone
well for us, has it, Brend?
No.
We're gonna give it 100%.
If we get to stay on this race,
we get to stay on this race.
Hopefully we get there
and we're good.
Hasn't been the best day
for us, but,
gosh, now we're on the road
to the Pit Stop.
Something reserve you said?
You wanna take this exit?
Um no.
I think we're gonna do the kayaking
very fine.
Just gotta get there.
We've learnt from our mistakes,
so we should be fine.
The experience has been great,
so I'm happy.
- Huh?
- What are we doing here?
Where are you taking me, bro?
We'll just go there
and see how we go.
We got down to the kayak
- Yeah, boy.
- ..and there were to kayaks left.
We knew that we weren't last.
Big dog's gotta eat!
Once we knew we were in front we knew we
weren't gonna give that position back up.
We were pretty stoked, we've been
waiting for a kayak challenge.
That's right.
Ah!
We couldn't see any teams
in front of us.
We just kept paddling
to the back of the boat
where there was some ladders
we had to climb up,
so we tried to time it perfectly.
- You good?
- Which we did sort of a little bit.
What are you doing?
What are you blaming me for?
The boys are wet.
I tell you, that's why
you don't take cowboys
in the water, let me
tell you that much.
Welcome on board the Lady Nelson
and to Hobart.
- Thank you very much.
- Thanks.
Well said, Captain.
Brendon and Jackson, you are
..the sixth team to check in.
Not what we were happy with,
but there was no point whingeing
about it, we weren't last.
You have to get back to shore
and go find your kayaks.
- I'll see you later.
- Thanks, guys.
Captain, when was the last time
you had cowboys on the boat?
We have had cowboys on the boat.
We've had a few bucks dos on
here where people have got dressed up.
Oh, really?
Some ended well, some didn't.
We finally get to the reserve
and we see there's only one
kayak left.
At that point, we are both pretty
convinced that we are the bottom team.
Welcome on board the Lady Nelson
and to Hobart.
Thank you.
Holly and Dolor you are
..the last team to check in.
And you're eliminated.
Unfortunately, your time on the race
is over, guys.
We're not surprised.
We've had a good run, but.
16 legs,
we've gone all around Australia.
So, I'm pretty happy.
We've managed to stay in this long
against some really hard competitors
so I'm happy we've made it this far,
really.
I think the race has made
our relationship stronger.
We've got memories for life.
Things that we can always
laugh about.
Ah! Ah!
Oh, that was good.
Holly and I are the best couple
in the world.
Even though it might not seem
like it when we fight and argue,
but after the leg we're laughing
and smiling together.
Well, guys, it was great to have you.
You can hold your head high -
16 legs is pretty intense.
Please work together to get home.
- Thank you.
- This way.
Next time on
The Amazing Race Australia.
Whoa!
- It's high stakes
- 140 metres down.
- ..high pressure.
- Seriously hard.
- Go, go, go!
- Oh!
Dammit!
With only six tough teams
remaining,
surviving this leg
will be harder than ever.
- Ohhhhhhh!
- Yes!
But when teams work together
"Shuck and eat 100 oysters."
Don't throw up, just swallow it.
What will cause the Cowboys
- You're joking!
- ..to lose their cool?
It's a tactical decision.
Emotions all over the place.
- Ah!
- Don't let him get in your head.
That's just weak.
