- Yes!
"Shuck and eat 100 Tasmanian oysters."
..tensions boiled over.
- We can't eat oysters.
- There's no such thing as 'can't'.
- That's just weak.
- It's a tactical decision.
Don't let him
get in your head.
Ashleigh and Amanda took first place.
You are the first team to check in.
And when the Salvage
- Salvage to the Cowboys.
- Thank you.
..and Sabotage were handed out
Not surprised. At all.
..a war of words erupted.
They have the boys
wrapped around their finger.
Better be careful, boys.
Tonight
We're here for our golf lesson.
..the Gold Coast girls
enjoy some time off
Feeling very relaxed,
ready to race again tomorrow.
- And how good's our golf swing now?
- I know.
..while the rest of the teams
do hard time.
- Better with a convict suit.
- Chain and shackles.
Nothing different for
you, a ball and chain, mate.
And when the Sabotage is revealed

They'll be tied to you all day."
..and the Super Sikhs

Chris and Aleisha have now got
the Sabotage. Do we U-Turn them?
..will it be the end of the line
That means we could be eliminated.
..for the Geek and Princess?
You are the last team to check in.
Your time on the Race is over.
Our five teams in play have returned
to Tasmania's capital, Hobart,
surrounded by rich
and fertile farmland.
And it's here that they will start
the 18th leg
of The Amazing Race Australia.
- Yes!
- Nice rip.
Great day already.
"Route Info."
"Drive to the beautiful
historic town of Ross."
Cool. Let's go.
Let's go. Let's go.
Ross. Where the hell are you, Ross?
Teams are departing in the order
they reached the last pit stop
and will make their way
to the historic town of Ross.
We started our leg today
in first place,
and we want to try and do everything
to stay in the front of the pack
today.
"Salvage team.
"Today you will only need to complete
"half of each challenge requirement."
Let's go, bro.
We finished last in the last leg.
We were fortunate enough
to get the Salvage.
Thank you.
With the Salvage,
we get to do half the challenges.
So, if you had to do 10 push-ups,
we had to do five,
so we're ecstatic about it.
Alright. "Route Info."
"Sabotage. Enjoy your balloons.
"They'll be tied to you all day."
Fun in the car.
We've just collected
our third Sabotage.
Think we're the new Sabotage
king and queen.
Sorry, guys.
Not surprised. At all.
We found out that we'll be taking
balloons with us all day today.
That's Larry.
This is Rhonda.
If we were to lose one or pop one,
we had a helium canister in our car.
We would have to redo a balloon
and make another one.
Can't believe
there's only five teams.
We're at the cut-throat end of it now.
Coming into this race
with a stowaway title,
right from the word go,
we were the outers.
They're scared of us
and they should be.
We always knew that target was on us.
All these teams are challenge beasts.
It could be anyone's today.
It is getting to the pointy end now.
I mean, every team here can win
and have their strengths.
I want to keep everyone on our side
for as long as we can.
Jas and Anurag,
I would say they're almost, like,
our strongest alliance
in the Race at the moment,
in terms of them helping us
and us helping them.
Jake's waving at us, mate.
It's quite important to know
who you work very well with
and keep them in your back pocket.
Skye and Jake we've worked with
multiple times.
We've worked pretty well with
Ashleigh and Amanda as well,
and the Cowboys.
So, somehow or other,
we need to knock out
MJ and Chelsea, Chris and Aleisha,
and then once it's down
to the top four, we just
..it's all hands-in between us four
and see what happens.
That's Ross. Awesome.
Ross is renowned for
its sandstone architecture,
in particular,
the exquisite Ross Bridge
that was completed in 1836
..and built by convicts.
In this challenge,
teams will honour our past
and walk in the shoes of convicts,
carrying 10 heavy sandstone bricks
together,
from one side of the small town
of Ross to the other,
and then across the bridge.
Each sandstone brick weighs 10 kilos,
and teams can only carry
a maximum of two at a time.
In true convict style,
they'll be shackled.
Once this poignant challenge
is complete,
then, and only then,
will they receive their next clue.
Who would've thought
sandstone blocks are heavy?
Let's go. Quick, quick, quick.
- Let's go.
- Come on, Skye.
When we got to the historic town
of Ross, we were coming in first.
Let's get changed. Let's get changed.
OK.
Everyone in town must be like,
"What the hell is going on?"
Chains as well.
Ooh. They are tiny, tiny pants.
- Where to now?
- This way.
To the church.
Come on!
- Two-person carry.
- Yep. Ready?
- You carry that side.
- Let's go.
OK.
Come on. We can run.
We can run easy.
Good morning work-out, Jas.
- Full circuit.
- I know.
All the chips we've been eating
are slowing us down.
Let's burn it off.
Let's go shred it, buddy.
- We set the pace.
- OK.
The sandstone bricks were actually
quite large and bulky,
so Jake actually took the majority,
if not all, of the weight
and I sort of just held on
on the corners as we were running.
I would not want to be a convict,
that's for sure.
We had to run about 3.5 k
with convict gear on.
Yeah. It was great.
- Yeah.
- It was a great start to the day.
Just here?
OK.
Let's go.
They're right behind us, MJ.
MJ and Chelsea were
destroying this challenge.
They had a good rhythm
and a good pace.
They weren't slowing down.
Absolute machines.
You good?
Yeah, so far.
MJ and Chelsea. Where do I begin?
They're strong mentally
and they're strong physically.
And that's what makes them
a very tough competition.
The Cowboys are here.
- Town hall.
- Yep.
We pulled up there,
we knew we had to do half of
what the actual challenge was.
10 blocks.
That's five, bro. That's five for us.
So, we were pretty confident
that we knew we could make time up.
- Hey, guys.
- Gentlemen.
- You right?
- Yeah, bro.
Had the chain and shackles.
Nothing different to you,
a ball and chain, mate.
Careful, careful,
careful of the balloon.
Oh, Larry's slowing me down.
Come on, mate.
We knew well and truly
we were in last place
and we were just beginning
our sandstone challenge.
- We know what we gotta do.
- Yeah, we do.
But we can't just make mistakes
today, OK?
Yeah.
I'm not a strong jogger, runner,
fast walker.
I'm going to be pushing myself
to my absolute limit.
Oh, it's so heavy, boy.
It's so heavy, baby.
See if we can take this lead out.
- A little bit more.
- Yep.
It's harder than it looks.
Not slowing down. Come on.
We gotta run back.
- You right?
- Yeah.
Happy days.
Make sure we're breathing. Go.
Great work. Good job.
Oh!
Really proud of you, baby.
This isn't too bad.
Baby, it's super heavy for me.
The fatigue was
really, really kicking in.
That was a really tough challenge.
Oh, my God.
OK. You drop it.
Slow down, slow down,
slow down, slow down. Oh!
I couldn't speak.
I had to just head down
and just keep my feet moving.
Uh!
Ahh!
Uh!
I can't do it. Nuh.
That's alright. That's alright.
I just My knees get
- You got that?
- OK.
Careful. The balloon.
I hate this.
OK.
- You good?
- Yeah, we're good.
Keep this pace up now.
Go.
With each effort
that MJ and I were running,
we were slowly starting to
get a bit more of a gap between us
and the other teams.
How you going, guys?
Proof girls can do anything.
Faster.
We've only got one more
after this, bro.
Having the Salvage
on our side this leg
really was no excuse for failure.
There's no excuse any time but this
one here, we had half a challenge.
We knew we could get in there
and smash this challenge out.
- You right?
- Yeah.
I saw, as we ran back,
MJ and Chelsea finish first.
- OK.
- Fingers.
Oh! Thank you so much.
Awesome. Cheers. Appreciate it.
We started off in second place today
and we left in first place.
- OK.
- Road Block.
"Who's a cheeky little devil?"
- You kind of are.
- Me.
A Road Block is a challenge
that only team-member
must choose to complete
based on a cryptic clue.
Now, in this challenge,
teams must come down here
to the Trowunna Wildlife Sanctuary,
which has had the most successful
breeding program for Tassie devils
for nearly 40 years.
And once here, they'll feed a group
of these ravenous Aussie icons.
The chosen team-member will drag
a meaty snack along the ground
and entice the hungry devils
to follow them round a set route
as they search the enclosure
for their next clue.
Keep in mind, the Tasmanian devil
is the largest carnivorous marsupial
in the world.
They have the strongest
pound-for-pound bite
out of any mammal on earth.
So, beware -
a hungry devil is an angry devil.
This Road Block
is first in, first served,
and everyone else
has to wait their turn.
So the 135 k road trip from Ross
to get there is absolutely crucial.
We're on our way
to see some Tasmanian devils!
- Yes!
- Hopefully, they don't bite me.
Across this one.
- Thank you.
- Thank you.
"Who's a cheeky little devil?"
Your turn?
- I'll go.
- Let's go.
We came into that challenge third
and we left second.
That was well done, Jas.
Really well done.
We did lose some time
relative to MJ and Chelsea, though.
They absolutely smashed through it.
They probably left
probably 10 minutes ahead of us.
We managed to overtake
Skye-Blue and Jake.
- Sorry.
- I don't want you to be sorry.
I just want you to focus on
what you're doing.
I am. I can't help my lungs, Jake.
I'm trying.
I know you're trying.
We didn't realise
how far it was going to be
and how uphill battle
it was going to be as well.
Thank you very much.
- Thank you!
- Thank you so much.
- "Who's a cheeky little devil?"
- That's you.
"Travel to
Trowunna Wildlife Sanctuary."
- Cool. Let's go.
- Come on.
Last one.
Of course, we had the Salvage,
we had to do five.
- Thank you very much.
- Thank you.
"Who's a cheeky little devil?"
Normally me, but
you're gonna have to do it.
That's me, bro.
- Bring it on.
- Let's do it.
- Good job, bro.
- Yeah, solid effort, dude. Well done.
- That was hard yakka.
- Mm.
Won't lie.
It's only going to get harder
from now on in, too.
Exactly right.
Regardless of what happens,
we're all here to win the money.
Having the Salvage on our side
this leg,
we really had to move up a spot
to prove we deserve to be here.
And we only had half
of what the other teams did.
Chris and Aleisha
That balloon's going to irritate them.
Rhonda's kind of getting
in my way here, actually.
I just
- We're halfway.
- Yeah.
I found that challenge probably
to be one of the hardest
that we've done on the race.
Our goal today
was just stay in the race,
but at this point, I'm thinking
catching up is impossible.
Ow
Oh, gee-whiz. MJ
We've hit a fair bit of traffic.
I don't suppose there's a back way?
Having a look at the map.
There isn't really another option
right now of where we are.
I hope everyone else takes this way.
Jas, I think I see roadworks.
Ooh!
Traffic jam! ♪
Skye and Jake are behind us.
Two cars behind us.
Did you say there's another way?
There's an exit coming up.
It's not the exit that we want to take
but we might be able
to beat this traffic.
Take it.
So, basically,
we jumped off the highway
one exit before than we needed to.
Jas, we might not be
travelling at 110 k's
but at least we're not sitting
in bumper-to-bumper traffic.
Anurag, we found the best route.
That is easily the quickest route
there was.
Sneaky Sikhs.
I see the Super Sikhs
exiting off the highway.
So, I quickly followed them.
Skye and Jake took it too.
I reckon we might have caught up
some time to MJ and Chelsea there.
I reckon so too.
Not really moving.
- Mm.
- At all.
- Don't let 'em tilt.
- I just
- You know what I mean?
- Yep.
You're doing really good, baby.
I was just exhausted.
My back cramped up,
my legs cramped up.
It was super tiring.
I actually don't know
how I finished it.
And 10!
Thank you so much. Thank you.
"Who's a cheeky little devil?"
- I think I should do it.
- You want to do it? Yeah.
So, we get our next clue,
and it's a Road Block.
I was so mentally drained and
physically drained at that point,
I was just like, "Yeah!
Sounds good. Let's go."
And then we suddenly realised
that Chris had lost Rhonda.
Where's my balloon? Is it on here?
Nuh.
Rhonda!
- Where did she go?
- Oh, my God.
So, now I have to blow up
another balloon.
There it is. There it is.
There it is. I see it on the right.
Hey, parking. Perfect.
Parking, parking, parking.
There's a very good chance
that MJ and Chelsea
have already been to the Road Block,
absolutely smashed it,
and they've already left.
Hey, go, go, go, go.
Do I get another set of pants?
Just put 'em on here. It's fine.
- Welcome. Good to see you here.
- Cheers.
- How are you, mate?
- Good.
You'll be going with some
Tasmanian devils this afternoon.
You'll be dragging
- ..a wallaby leg.
- Yum.
I had to walk a set route around
four logs inside the enclosure,
dragging a piece of meat behind me
to encourage the Tassie devils
to follow me.
All the while,
I'm looking for my next clue,
which is hanging in a bag off a tree.
This is an OK sort of pace?
As I walked in with a piece of meat
Look at that.
They're coming to him now.
..you saw the real devil side.
Oh, my God.
There's heaps of Tasmanian devils.
Oh, my God. Oh, no, look at that.
Now they're arguing with each other,
saying,
"Oh, no, that's my piece of meat."
This feels so good. I've always
wanted to do something like this.
This was an amazing experience for us.
Let's go, Skye.
- Oh. Trowunna Wildlife Park.
- There it is.
Trowunna Wildlife Park.
Awesome.
We finally, finally arrived.
Let's hope we're the first team here.
Hey, guys.
You guys left before everyone.
Did you just get lost?
Nah, didn't get lost.
We just sat in the traffic.
It was an absolute shock to see that
they were actually coming in after us.
- The Sikhs are in there.
- Oh, really?
They're in there now.
We're after them.
Oh, bugger.
That was a bit of a blow
because we were in first place.
That annoys me.
We'd lost our lead, and now we're
in the queue, waiting for our turn.
- How you doing?
- Good. How are youse going?
Good.
Ohhh!
- Uh
- Send her back to me.
Rhonda's loose.
We're probably at least
40, 45 minutes behind the last team.
And so that's a whole lot of
closing up that we need to do
in order to get back in the race.
Hopefully there's a challenge
where we can actually catch up.
Yeah. We could be going home today.
The Sikhs are in there.
Oh, bugger.
Nail this one, get this right,
then we'll be on our way.
You'll need to get the meat round,
mate.
All the way round
or are you happy with this?
All the way round. Full circle around.
There were hundreds and hundreds
of Tassie devils in this enclosure.
Bro, bro, there was, like,
10 devils in there.
And I had to find a clue
hanging off a tree in bags.
Does that look like a clue, Anurag?
No, it's not the right one.
The first bag - nothing in there.
Second bag - nothing in there.
Like, is this a stitch-up?
Hey, cheeky bugger.
Wait. Got it.
That is impressive.
That is seriously impressive.
Well done. I'm proud of you.
Well done, bro.
That was fun.
"Small Cows or Big Cheese."
- What do you want to do?
- I think Big Cheese.
- Big Cheese.
- Big Cheese.
A Detour is a choice
between two challenges,
each with its own pros and cons.
The Tasmanian dairy industry
produces over 900 million litres
of milk a year
and creates around 20,000 tonnes
of cheese.
In this Detour, teams must choose
between Small Cows and Big Cheese.
The teams that choose Big Cheese
must come here,
to Ashgrove Cheese Farm.
To pass this challenge, they've got
to successfully guesstimate and cut
7.4 kilos of cheese.
Then they must carry it all the way
to the top and weigh it.
Every time they get it wrong, they've
gotta come back down and go back up.
And come back down and go back up.
You know the rest.
Teams that choose Small Cows
will make their way to the cow sheds
where hundreds of calves are housed.
They must then find
the four small cows
with their ear tags marked
with a black dot.
Once they find all four,
they'll receive their next clue.
But warning -
a game-changing decision awaits the
first team to finish their Detour.
A U-Turn board is situated
at the exit to the farm.
And there they must choose a team to
send back and complete BOTH Detours.
- "Warning, U-Turn ahead."
- Yeah, baby.
We knew we were gonna come back out
and we knew Skye and Jake
would be right behind us.
But as we're leaving,
we see MJ and Chelsea.
That meant one thing.
We were first.
Good work, mate. Good work.
Keep going.
All we had to do was finish
the next challenge
and we get the opportunity
to select another team
that we're going to U-Turn.
Let's go, let's go.
Thank you. Thanks for your help, mate.
Oh, my God. They're so cute.
I've got a convoy.
Um, hopefully it just slowed teams
down a little,
the fact that there's one team at
a time allowed to do this challenge.
It may have just slightly closed
that gap just a little bit.
Whether it's five minutes
or 10 minutes per team,
that would really help.
We knew well and truly
we were in last place
and we absolutely feel that we are
up the creek without a paddle
and we're just gonna keep trying to
get there any way we can
and hope that something happens
that helps us keep pushing forward.
Yeah, so it says Mole Creek.
Still 8km away.
We have to work
really, really hard, OK?
This could definitely be
an elimination.
No, it's not the right one.
- Oh, so, yeah, OK.
- Put it back in.
It's been one of the best Road
Blocks on The Amazing Race so far.
- That's it, mate. You're out.
- Beautiful.
- Take it with you.
- Thank you.
You had seven Tassie devils on you
at one point.
They're so cute.
I want one.
- Cheese?
- Alright, we'll go for Cheese.
- Alright, let's do Big Cheese.
- Alright. Sick.
- We're good, I think.
- OK.
Enjoy it, guys. It's fun.
So, it was a bit gut-wrenching
being in third place.
Good luck. You got this.
But, you know,
when it comes to a challenge,
I just put my head down
and I just get it done.
Good job, MJ. That's it.
Keep going. You're doing great.
- It's over there. Yeah.
- To the right?
Let's go.
OK, got one.
That's your clue.
You can come out now.
Here we go.
- What do you wanna do? Small Cows?
- Small Cows.
"Warning, U-Turn ahead."
Let's go.
We left in third heading towards the
Detour and the U-Turn destination.
I'm a bit nervous because that said,
"Beware, U-Turn ahead."
We didn't know that
we were gonna be U-Turned.
I was 97% sure it was coming our way.
We've got at least a five-minute
head start over Skye and Jake.
Yep.
- And we know there's a U-Turn coming up.
- Yeah.
Now, how does a U-Turn work?
"Once you've completed
a Detour choice,
- "you must U-Turn another team."
- OK.
We haven't figured out
who we wanna go with.
So, we've got the Cowboys.
We know they're very good at
physical tasks.
I mean, they need to do
half that challenge.
- They could easily overtake us too.
- Yeah. True.
What about Chris and Aleisha?
Now they've got the Sabotage,
they've fallen down
to the back of the pack.
Do we U-Turn them?
Actually
If I had to think of one team that's
our biggest threat in this race,
- it has to be MJ and Chelsea.
- 100%.
If there's a U-Turn up ahead,
maybe we can try to eliminate
our biggest competition.
The next challenge
was a Detour.
Alright, let's go.
We decided to go for the Big Cheese.
OK, let's pick this up.
Be four or five kilos.
- What do you reckon?
- I think it's more. I think it's seven.
We had to cut up 7.4 kilos of cheese.
But the trick was you could only
cut it at the cutting station,
and the weighing station was all
the way at the top of the hill.
Mate, when we saw that hill,
I thought about changing the Detour.
That was a MASSIVE hill.
Surely these are like
more than three kilos.
Yeah.
You know what?
Let's just take half, yeah?
- Let's take half and we'll figure it out.
- Yeah.
Carry this. Let's go.
Oh, my God.
Come on, Jas.
Let's go.
If we can win this, we get to U-Turn
a team of our own choice.
That's what drove us up this mountain.
7.9kg.
- We need to remove
- We need to take off 500 grams.
OK. Let's go back down.
Ooh. OK.
Oh, jeez. Uphill much?
Now I wish I was at home
with the baby cows.
I think they like you, mate.
Come on now.
Put my boots on before my pants.
Stupid, Aleisha.
Jeez it'd be funny
if one gets hold of your leg.
Of course, we had the Salvage, and
we only had to do half the course.
That's a full lap, mate.
And then I just walked up and found
the clue in a bag hanging on a tree
and we were outta there.
- What do you wanna do?
- I'm thinking the Small Cows.
- Yeah, let's go to cows.
- Let's go.
I transport cattle and sheep
all around, so, I mean,
- it was a no-brainer really, wasn't it?
- Definitely.
Yeah, well, I guess we're gonna
have a bit of an advantage here.
We've both got a lot of experience
with handling cattle.
We've got a bit of a lead,
but hopefully we don't get U-Turned.
Now's your time to knock somebody
to the back.
This way. This way. This way.
Black dot.
Does that count as a black dot?
So, we decided to do
the Small Cows, thinking
we can do that challenge pretty quick.
- Are you gonna go over?
- Yeah.
We had to walk through these pens
- and we had to locate four cows
- Four.
..that had a little black dot
on their tag.
I can't tell where the dots are.
- Are you looking at the front?
- Yep.
I've looked at that one.
That one, MJ?
I honestly did not thing
it was gonna be that difficult.
Just keep on going. Walking.
Those Tasmanian devils were really
hard to drag along.
Boy, they're strong.
But, yeah, I manged to get it done.
Good job, boys.
Alright, come on, boys and girls.
I complete the challenge,
I get the clue and I look around
and Chris was not there.
Christopher?!
Where is my husband? ♪
Chris!
I went to the bathroom for five minutes
and Aleisha finished the challenge.
I didn't see a bit of it.
Christopher.
- Yeah.
- Quick, babe.
"Detour. Make your way
to Ashgrove Cheese Farm."
- Small Cows. Let's do it.
- Small Cows.
Parked a bit close, didn't I?
Let's go, let's go, let's go!
Another car just pulled in.
You go that side, I'll go this side.
When we were still in the midst
of doing our challenge,
the Cowboys actually turned up,
and they only had to find
two black dots on the cows.
None of these
have got ear tags, Jacko.
These are too young for ear tags.
We rocked up there
and there was calves everywhere.
There was pen after pen
after pen after pen.
I was excited we were finally
getting a bit of country back into us.
Then because we had the Salvage,
we only had to find two tags.
So, we knew we could get in there
and smash this challenge out.
I've got none of them down there.
You search every pen.
I feel like I've stood in
so much cow poo.
Ergh!
- I've got one, Bren.
- Hey?
- I've got one.
- You've got one?
So frustrating. So frustrating.
It was too heavy.
We need to chop off 500 grams,
then we've got it.
How are you, mate?
OK. Grab your piece.
Let's run up.
Come on, Jas.
Push, buddy.
Oh, God.
I think we got it.
It has to be 7.4kg.
Yes!
- Thank you.
- Thank you.
They got it.
Should we give them this?
Yeah.
- Guys, take it, take it, go.
- One and two, go.
Thanks, guys.
So, Jas and Anurag
gave us their cheese.
If it was any other team,
would we have done that?
I wouldn't have done it
for MJ and Chelsea.
I wouldn't have done that for
Chris and Aleisha.
Look, we'll help people
that are willing to help us.
"Make your way to
the Duck Reach Power Station
"to find Beau at the pit stop."
Teams will now travel
to Launceston,
Tassie's second largest city,
and home to the super impressive
Cataract Gorge,
where the Duck Reach Power Station
provided hydroelectric energy
to the city
from 1895 to 1955.
But right now, it is the pit stop
to the 18th leg
of The Amazing Race Australia.
So, we finished
the challenge,
but before we get to the pit stop,
we get the opportunity
to select another team
that we're going to U-Turn.
Let's go. Come on.
So, we left the Detour
and headed straight for
the U-Turn board.
We haven't seen MJ and Chelsea
rock up here.
That could well mean
that they've gone to the cattle.
I wouldn't be surprised
if they got there before
us and U-Turned us
already, but let's see.
Everyone in the top six,
they're very strong competition right now.
So, we need to be a little bit
more strategic.
And that is the game
that we're trying to play.
I think we're picking
the correct choice, dude.
This is in our control,
let's just stick with this.
Yeah. I agree.
There's the U-Turn board.
I can see the U-Turn board.
Yeah, I see a flag. I see a flag.
I see flags.
Being at the pointy end,
you've got to look at
who's your biggest threat?
Who's your biggest competitor?
Our U-Turn meant that MJ and Chelsea
would finish the Small Cow challenge
and have to ride all the way back up
to the Big Cheese challenge
and complete that challenge.
- Let's do it.
- Let's go.
We knew that's gonna push them
to the back end of the pack
fighting for, potentially,
elimination.
That's part of the race.
That's what we're here for.
We're here to win.
Did you have any luck in here?
Nuh. No luck in here.
What's the black dot
look like? Just a little one?
Right above the number.
Righto.
Because we had the Salvage, we only
had to find two marked cattle tags.
We've just got one more to go.
- Hey, Jacko.
- What have you got?
- That challenge was good.
- Yeah, it was.
It just felt so good to be
back on the land
and back, you know, dairies,
I work with them every day.
- Sweet. Thanks, mate.
- Thanks, mate.
- Nice shirt.
- Cheers, mate. Country boys.
Yeah, he said to us,
"Nice shirt, boys."
And we said, "Yeah, that's right."
Country people
recognise country people,
so it was good to be there
and get recognised
and do a challenge that we love.
"Route Info."
"Make your way to
the Duck Reach Power Station
"to find Beau at the pit stop."
- Whoo.
- Let's go.
- Well done.
- Thank you.
- Thank you very much.
- Thank you so much.
So, because of the Sikhs,
we got our next clue
and we were out of there
as quick as we could.
"Make your way to
Duck Reach Power Station."
Cool. Let's go that way.
- Alright.
- It's alright. Stay calm.
Come on, MJ.
- U-Turn. MJ and Chelsea.
- Oh, no.
- They're gonna be filthy about that.
- Yeah.
Black dot! Black dot!
Eventually, we found
our first black dot.
Oh! I've got another. Got another one.
Two more. We've found two.
We need two more numbers.
How you doing, Larry?
He's still kicking on.
So, there is definitely a U-Turn ahead.
That would absolutely be
a death sentence for us.
Actually, that could be a death
sentence for anybody who gets that.
There. 0627.
Oh, Chels, it's on this one maybe.
That brown one.
- Yes. 313.
- OK.
Let's go.
We finally, finally got it done
and got our next clue.
Yes.
- Well done.
- That was a hard challenge. Thanks, mate.
- Thank you. Well done.
- Appreciate it. Awesome.
It was such a relief.
There you go. Alright.
"Make your way to the
Duck Reach Power Station
"to find Beau at the pit stop.
"Hurry! You may be eliminated."
OK, let's go.
It's done and dusted. We
found 'em. I got to pat a cow.
It's all good.
- Exit, yep, exit.
- I know, I know. I'm just nervous.
Chels, just let's go.
We would know by now.
MJ
- Hey?
- I knew it.
We've just been waiting for the leg
that was gonna give us that U-Turn.
And unfortunately for us, we're on
the bad end of the stick this time.
OK. Come on.
Come on, don't lose
hope now. Don't lose hope.
MJ
- Hey?
- I knew it.
We just saw our faces on the U-Turn.
The Super Sikhs
obviously got here first,
and that's part of the game.
The Sikhs were always gonna pick us.
I don't know if there's an alliance
but, I mean, if I was in the
race and I was up against us,
I'd U-Turn us too, so
It's not rocket science.
So, back we go to the Big Cheese.
- So
- Go, right, right, right, right!
No, Big Cheese was on
the left and I had to drive up.
It wasn't on the left. It said
No, go go
MJ, I saw a sign.
OK.
So, just calm your farm.
Don't start arguing with me
because we're just, you know,
a bit stressed out about this.
This is where we need to come
together and actually work together.
We'll just get in there, get it done.
OK.
Get it done.
Duck Reach Power Station
is in West Launceston, on Corin Street.
Here, have some water, buddy.
Take a breather. We've got this, yeah?
We knew we were the first team to leave,
and that meant
all that stood between us and
finishing first was that pit stop.
- Jas, look there's a sign.
- We've got to find Beau, dude.
We've got to go downhill.
We've got to go down the stairs.
Steady, huh? No injuries.
It's gonna be right at
the bottom, I'm sure.
So, Rosetta, tell me about
what you do in the community?
I'm a palawa kani
language and youth worker
at the Launceston
Tasmanian Aboriginal Centre.
- Awesome.
- Yeah.
I see the pit stop. I see the pit stop.
- There it is. Let's go, man.
- Let's go. Let's go.
We see you!
- Here we come!
- Whoo-hoo!
Yep, it's the boys - it's the Sikhs.
Here they are.
Oh, mate!
Suspension bridge is so cool!
Whoo-hoo!
Ya pulingina, lutruwita
milaythina pakana.
Hello and welcome to
Lutruwita - Tasmania.
Thank you.
Jaskirat and Anurag, you are
the first team to check in.
Yeah, baby!
Whoo!
Well done.
And, boys, you've also won an escape
to the Shangri-La, Cairns,
in the Horizon Suite,
thanks to 10travlr.com
and Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts.
- Thanks, Beau.
- Thank you.
You won a lot of legs early in the race,
then you were mid-pack,
then you slipped.
Now you're back. Is this
where you belong or what?
Coming into the pointy end,
it's time that we put our
foot back on the pedal
and start winning again.
You are one step closer to
a quarter of a million dollars.
- Thanks, Beau.
- Terrific effort.
We've been trying for the last three
or four legs to get back to first place,
but it hasn't been easy.
- Well done, boys.
- Thank you, Beau.
Thanks, mate.
The fact that we're now back
there, we want to stay there.
Very good.
- You were great, too.
- Oh Good.
Alright, so, we
just have to find the four.
Find the four.
Looks like there's a
hell of a lot, though.
So, we had to find four tags
with black dots on them,
and then we'll get our next clue.
- I don't see any with tags in here.
- Well, you've got to get in.
We didn't want to scare the young
cows by popping our balloons.
- Good baby.
- No, none here.
OK.
But we definitely took
a bit too much time,
uh, with that particular challenge.
Can you see that one,
though? That's a black dot.
No, that's a bit of green grass.
Do you see any with tags?
I don't think there's any in here, babe.
Alright.
When we arrived at the challenge,
the most important thing was just
trying to keep our heads screwed on
because this is our second
Detour that we're doing.
We've been U-Turned.
We just need to smash it.
- Oh
- What do we need to do? 7.4?
- Yeah.
- So, if you look at this
- Have a look at this.
- Yeah.
They've been cutting this.
So, I reckon take that.
What's that? Five?
- Let's do this. Take these.
- Alright, let's go.
Alright.
I'm not worried about the cheese.
It was that hill that I'm worried about.
That hill was huge!
I'm walkin', sorry.
I was tired - like, I was knackered.
But we we kept going
and pushed though.
Come on, keep fighting.
You never know
what can happen in this game.
You know the best bit
about running all the way down here?
- We've gotta run back up?
- We've gotta go back up.
Cowboys-ssss
Brendon and Jackson,
you are the second team to check in.
- Yoo!
- Alright, bro.
That Salvage helped, eh?
Salvage helped heaps.
Saw MJ and Chelsea. We overtook
them at the, uh the calves.
So, we're happy with our
efforts today, definitely.
- Huge effort.
- Thanks, mate.
- See you soon, eh? Good job.
- Legend. Thanks, mate.
- Thank you.
- Thank you.
Scenic!
Uh-oh.
I think Jake's lost the plot a bit.
Join the club, eh?
Good job.
Skye-Blue and Jake, you
are third team to check in.
Awesome. Great work.
Good job.
Well done. OK.
Go rest, man, and I'll
see you very, very soon.
Thank you.
- Brother and sister.
- Ah.
Yeah. How tall is he, eh?
- Yeah, I know.
- Probably too tall.
I don't see any with tags.
No, none in here.
Aleisha, I got one.
Come on. Nearly there.
There's one.
So, we've only got two, right?
Two, yeah, so, we're gonna
have to keep searching.
Keep going.
OK.
That's right surely.
No. Gotta be 7.5 7.4.
So, just a sliver off that.
I'm sorry.
If we failed at this next
attempt, we could be going home.
- Let's go.
- Are you sure about that?
- Yep.
- OK.
Let's go.
This is our
second Detour that we're doing.
We've been U-Turned.
Keep going! That's it.
We failed at the first attempt.
So, we've just got to
try and remain focused
and hopefully make up some time.
Come on. Keep going.
- Did you check all these ones?
- Yep.
I think so. Most of them.
There's one.
Could catch up here.
OK.
Thank you so
much. Appreciate it, mate.
We got our clue
and we just gunned
it back down the hill.
We're still in this. Let's go.
Come on.
- There's one, out the back.
- OK.
We're clear. We're clear.
- Thank you so much.
- Thank you very much.
- Thanks heaps.
- Thanks.
Bye, babies.
OK.
"Hurry! The last team to arrive
may be eliminated."
Let's go.
So, I'll drive us to
Launceston and we'll try to find it.
Yep.
We haven't seen Chris and Aleisha.
Like, I haven't had eyes on them.
Probably last, but
..we'll keep fighting till the end.
So, we're heading down York
and follow it around.
What was it called again?
- Duck something Station.
- Duck Reach Power Station.
OK, which way?
Straightaway, baby.
- Sorry, go, uh, left here. Yep.
- Left here?
Oh, my God.
We stopped at a
traffic light, so I thought,
"I'm just gonna ask for directions."
Excuse me? Do you know where
Duck Reach Power Station is?
Oh, wicked.
And we'll take that turn-off.
That will be brilliant.
- What a legend.
- What a legend.
- Oh, my God.
- What an absolute legend.
Still haven't
seen any other teams.
- Unless
- Could that be them?
- That's them.
- That's them?
There you go.
I think we just saw MJ and Chelsea.
Just super disappointing
'cause we're in
..last place again.
Keep going.
Oh, he's just pointed. This
is the one where we turn.
- OK, this is it?
- Yep.
We're still in this race.
MJ started checking the map,
just to be 100% sure.
Duck Reach Power Station is
West Launceston, on Corin Street.
!
We've been given a bum steer.
- We've gotta go back.
- Back where?
- Hang on a minute. I'm stressing.
- On Pomona? Do you want me to pull over?
- Yes, pull over. Pull over.
- OK.
Show me.
So, West Launceston is there.
We've got to come back
out. We've up.
That could have just
made or break us.
- So, right on Corin?
- Corin, yeah.
- And that's what it's on?
- Yeah.
Straight up. Left,
left, left. Far left lane.
Please, please, please,
tell me they're not there.
OK.
- Let's go.
- Down there. Down there.
Really proud of you today, baby.
Oh, wow. Wow, wow.
Can you see Beau
down there, to your left at all?
I can hear something.
Whoa, whoa, whoa,
you're going too fast. Slow down.
- Which way? This way?
- I'm assuming so.
Oh, we've got another
team. Here we go. Wow.
Wow. Good job, baby.
- Whoa! This is so cool!
- This is so cool!
Oh, my gosh!
Keep going, keep going.
Chris and Aleisha,
you are
..the fourth team to check in.
What? We're not last.
- We thought we were last for sure.
- We thought we were out.
- You're still in the Race, my man.
- Oh, my gosh!
I thought we were out!
Good job, baby. Good job.
Holy crap!
We got to the bridge and I saw 'em.
Aaah! !
OK.
MJ and Chelsea
..you are
..the last team to check in.
And you're eliminated.
I'm sorry, girls, but your
time on the Race is over.
Thanks for the opportunity.
It's been amazing.
And we've enjoyed every
single minute of it together
and learnt more about
ourselves and each other
and, you know, just gonna
take this back to our team-mates
and we hope that we made
our families and our friends
and everyone watching proud.
Aaah.
It's alright.
- I'm not ready to leave.
- Yeah.
Yoo!
Being part of The
Amazing Race was fantastic.
That's it!
Yeah!
Yeah!
We have done the coolest stuff.
You're doin'
awesome! You're killin' it!
We've seen the most amazing places.
Chelsea?!
I just can't wait to share all these
stories with our friends and family.
You're a credit to yourselves,
your families, the AFLW.
And you should be proud of each other.
Thank you.
Some of 'em hurt more than others.
Next time on The
Amazing Race Australia
Oh, the sickest experiences!
It was absolutely surreal.
..the Race gets extreme
in New South Wales.
- Not gonna die.
- We're not gonna die.
..as our final five teams
fight for a spot in the finale.
I am the worst dancer
in this entire race.
But what will one vegan do
I haven't
had eggs in six years
..when faced with two very big eggs,
and a shot at $250,000?
I'm so sorry about this.
