The Amazing Race Australia (2011) s06e21 Episode Script

Season 6, Episode 21

1
Seven weeks ago,
20 teams left the land we call home,
hungry and determined to take on
a new adventure on a global scale.
International skies and borders
were now open,
inviting them to race
through countries
they'd only dreamt of visiting.
Three, two, one, go!
It's started, it's started!
He-hey!
I just want to get on a plane
and go somewhere!
There's so many colours.
Oh, look, a doggie.
I cannot run like this.
Look how many there are!
You're kinda in the way here.
Oh, my gosh!
I've never touched snow before.
Do you think you'll pick this up?
You're so romantic, babe.
I need to know
you'll get this next one.
Ahh!
Oh, she's throwing it around.
That looks epic.
Cheesy goodness.
Yay!
Sorry!
This is so hard!
Holy shit.
Tarantula!
To be with a paddle in our hand
was magic.
Oh, my God,
that's gonna bite my hand off!
Far out. Can you be my mum?
This is a Virtual Pit Stop.
What?
Now, just the top three teams remain.
Their sights firmly set
on the prize of a lifetime -
250,000 grand cash,
an Isuzu D-MAX
and an Isuzu MU-X.
This is The Amazing Race Australia.
Our three teams are waking up
in Perth, Western Australia.
This is gonna be
one hell of a finale.
Let's do it.

Let's go.
Let's go.
From Perth,
our battle-hardened finalists
have jumped a flight 1,700km north
to the remote town of Broome,
which lies amongst one of the most
picturesque regions on the planet.
Broome is the gateway
to the Kimberley region,
Western Australia,
where the outback meets the ocean.

Yes! Yes.
"Make your way to
Sun outdoor picture gardens,
"the world's oldest picture gardens
still in operation."
Chinatown has been
the multicultural heart and soul
of Broome since the 1800s
when Chinese and other Asian migrants
converged on the town seeking work,
alongside the Indigenous locals,
in the lucrative pearling industry.
And today, this heritage-listed area
is still considered to be
the epicentre of the town's commerce.
In this challenge,
teams must come to Sun Pictures,
which opened in 1916,
making it the oldest operating
picture garden in the world.
It's here where they must feed
each other sweet and sour pork
with giant 2.4-metre-long chopsticks.
Once they successfully pick up
and eat one full portion each,
they'll receive their next clue.
- Is that ours?
- Yeah.
I don't know how to open the boot.
Here.
Oh!
Frankie, boot, boot!
It's not working.
I guess take ittake it
in the car! Take it in the car!
Throw it in the back.
- Drive away.
- Yeah.
- Go! Overtake them!
- You've got the map.
Where's the directions?
Just go! Just go!
I don't know where to go, Ange.
We can't go
Just overtake them!
To where?
You've got it, Heath?
Yeah. Yeah. Follow them out.
Oh, no.
But they're still looking.
OK. Well, they've blocked us off.
There is no directions!
Left or right?
Left!
You gotta turn left out here.
Oh, shit. I need to get a road
on me, B. Where did they go?
OK, we're on Coghlan
Street. We're first right now.
OK, we're on Coghlan Street.
There's right or left.
It's all or nothing today
in this leg - it's first or lose.
We've been in the shadows
for a long time.
We've been coming
towards the bottom,
people have been counting us out,
we're the dark horse
and we're riding in today
as favourites, you would think.
I don't know where the heck
picture gardens is.
Ask someone, I reckon. Just follow
Heath and Toni, actually.
That's not Heath and Toni.
Well, follow whoever that is.
That's Kelly and Georgia.
Well, follow them.
We've got to go speed limit, Angel.
Picture gardens!
There's nothing in here.
I think, more than anything,
we've proved to ourselves
that we're capable
of winning this show.
And this is it.
It's justrace face, race day,
that's it.
Yeah, we're down the main guts of
of life in Broome, I think, Heath.
Yeah.
That's where we're going -
Short Street.
Where's that other map?
You know, we have some confidence
'cause we won quite a few legs now
and I think we've both started to
even dream about getting that prize
and what it would mean for us.
Just get in there and do our best.
There. It's on the left.
What number is it?
Number 8.
OK, grab the first park you can.
Yeah, babe, I'm looking.
G, I know. I'm not yelling at ya.
Yep, OK. Sorry. Yep.
Chill. We gotta be composed today.
Good job, G. Great start.
You too.
I know this sucks, G,
but just scoff it, OK?
Yep.
You've done this before.
You're a tough girl.
Yep.
Let's ask this guy.
Excuse me!
Can you help us?
Uh, Sun outdoor picture gardens?
Just, like, walking?
Yeah.
Walking distance?
We need our bags, Ange.
- You lock your door?
- Yes!
Toni, you need to relax.
You need to relax.
Yeah. Go, go, go, go, go, go!
- Here?
- Yep.
Are they the same?
That one.
Umthis one.
Yeah. Bit of a breeze. OK.
So what we need to do is,
"Use the oversized chopsticks
"to feed each other a plate of
traditional sweet and sour pork."
OK. So we need to
somehow use these
I've barely used chopsticks.
He's never picked up chopsticks
in his life!
Shit.
These weren't just
regular chopsticks, though.
These were ginormous chopsticks.
They were the size
of two pool cues.
They were really heavy and they were
very difficult to grip the food.
Oh, Jesus!
It's hard, G.
OK, ready?
I can't believe I'm eating this.
Georgia also being a vegetarian,
it was a big issue for us
because for the third time
in this race,
she was going to
have to consume meat.
Wish there was a veg option for you.
I'm sorry.
Bit of a stitch-up, isn't it?
Yep. It's alright.
I'm not gonna let a little piece
of sweet and sour pork
stand between us and 250k.
It's on the left, Heath!
Watch the car!
Holy crap.
Oh, it's here.
Yep, this is it.
Go, go, go.
Lucky I didn't eat heaps.
"Use these chopsticks with the food
above the measured height."
Has to come above here.
That's it, babe, that's it. Lift.
OK.
Just lift. Lift. Lift!
Tell me when!
Yo, yo, yo, yo!
Ohh!
Oh, Tones!
Yes! Ohh!
Ohhhh!
Can you put these on for me,
please? Thank you.
Get your mouth on it.
Oh! Just go quick.
Yeah, it's hard, B,
'cause it's not lifted high enough!
The hard thing in this challenge
was that you had to balance
and make sure that it got up to
a certain height before they ate it.
Up, up, up, up!
Just put your head down and eat it!
It has to be this height, Angel.
Lift, lift!
Quick, quick, quick, quick, quick!!
Mm-hm!
Swap.
Mm-hm.
Steadyarms. Yeah.
That's it. Yep.
Heath's definitely better than me
with chopsticks.
Try and pinch it if you can.
I'm one of them terrible people
who asks for a knife and fork
in such restaurants
and I hate myself for it.
Yeah. You're doing well.
Lean forward, put your hand forward
and then try and squeeze.
Well done!
OK, let's do that approach.
Wait, wait, wait, wait!
You're so good.
Wait. Yep. Shot!
Amazing.
There you go. Slowly. Bring it up.
Oh, bruh.
If you move your arms up closer,
you have more control
'cause you take off
the length of it.
G.
Roll it, like, spin the thing so
you get under it and then hold it.
Frankie picked up a little technique
where you could roll the sticks to
kinda get the pork to sit on top.
Just roll, roll it, roll it,
get under it.
Put your Anangle
Shh! Shh! Frankie!
He was yelling the technique,
not realising he's actually
telling the other teams
how to do it as well.
Move your arms up closer.
Shh! Shh! Shh!
G, stop looking at
other people.
G, stop looking away, please!
I just can't get it.
Don't get mad at me!
How is it my fault?
I'm not, I'm not.
Slowly.
Tell me when.
Yep! Ohhh.
I'm waiting for you.
You know what?
If you see it coming,
just take the initiative and eat it.
Don't flip out, man.
Justcan we just stop fighting,
please?
Yeah.
Shit.
If you don't get this bit, I'm gonna
smash you with these sticks!

Thank you. Let's go!
We arrived at the chopsticks
challenge in second position
and we left first - boom!
"Road Block."
Alright. We can decide here.
Yeah. "Who's come out
of their shell?"
What do you reckon? Quick!
You pick, you pick, you pick.
I'll do it, then.
OK, alright.
A Road Block is a challenge
that only one team member
can complete
based on a cryptic clue.
Broome is the pearling capital
of Australia.
Established as a pearling port
in the 1880s,
it still produces some of
the finest pearls in the world.
Our teams will have to come here
to Willie Creek to peg oysters,
which is basically pulling pearls
out of these bad boys.
In this Road Block,
one team member must go out
and collect a panel of oysters
from the pearling boat,
take them back to land
and submerge them in water.
Then they have to gently coax
four of them to open up.
And the locals reckon
if you talk to them, it helps.
Come on, pearlie, pearlie, pearlie!
Once opened, they'd better be quick
to get the metal clamp in their mouth
before it closes.
Then they must push a peg inside
and hand them to the master pearler
to see if it holds a pearl.
If it does,
they'll receive their next clue.
My wife likes expensive things
and it's Christmas coming up.
Over here!
I'm gonna throw up pork.
OK, we need to be on Broome Road.
Well, I don't know where that is.
OK, so Toni, give me a second.
Yeah, OK, OK.
God, you need Just relax!
Do you want me to find it?
Sorry.
Go! Yes, yes, yes!

Let's go.
I'll drive.

Here, here, here.
Toni, breathe.
Yeah, I'm breathing, darling.
I can't handle the stress because
I'm trying to work out my bearings.
Yep, yep, yep, yep.
And you're peaking.
OK, darling. I'm peaking.
Because there's so much at stake,
it just means so much today.
It's frightening to even think of
that much money.
It's gonna change our life,
isn't it?
I think with Toni's diagnosis,
obviously we have limited time.
I have secondary or metastatic
or terminal cancer.
Toni just wants to live
and get on with life while she can
and while she feels well.
And then we need to
experience things, do things,
visitsee family in the UK
and everything
and, unfortunately,
you need money to do all that stuff.
It would make my shortened life
a very busy, fun life.

because you might have
a bit of a lead
and then it changes so quickly.

At that point, I felt our dream
of winning the race slipping away.
We are in some serious strife.

so we're just gonna keep

Thank you. Don't be angry.
I'm not. I'm not.
Come on, let's go.
He's so angry right now.
Alright, let's go.
I think it's gonna be hard to write
with, like, your finger,
so I thought while I've got a
while I'm waiting for the line,
I'll try and find a really good
stick to write with.
Gotta find the perfect stick.
I see that Toni
comes back around and lines up
because she must've
got her word wrong.
And now I'm like,
"Yes, I'm in first place.
"I've gotta get this word right."
There's no room for error
here. It's the finale.
One error can pull us back.
We need to, yeah, be on.
Thank you. Oh, no.
Where's the stairs?
Hee! Oh, my
That is definitely the man
that's standing between us and 250k.
Give me the strength, man,
to write this nice and clear
for her to see.
I just have to hope that
they don't get this here.
Oh, shit.
Never felt this much stress
in my life, to be honest.
Come on, Frankie, come through.
W-U-Q
Oh, Frankie, seriously?
If that's a 'W' or a 'U',
I have no idea.
Or I don't know if it's a J-U.
G-U-J?
'Gujuguju'.
OK.
Surely you can see that.
Oh!
How'd you reckon you guys went?
We didn't get it.
Oh.
Yeah.
Oh, frick.
How do you reckon you went?
I don't know.
I reckon you may have got it, mate.
Hopefully, I pray that we get it.
Hello.
Hi.
The word I read was 'Gujuguju'.
That is correct.
Yeah!
Well done.
Yay!
There you go. Good luck.
Thank you so much, sir. Thank you.
Oh, bless!
Being the last one there as well,
all the sand looks like
it's already torn up,
so that makes it
a bit harder as well
to get definition with your letters.
An hour ago, we were coming last
and now we've jumped back up
to first so I'm stoked.
But that's the race -
one little turn,
one little wrong thing
or one little mistake
could cost you
the position in the race.
Let's go. We're in first.
Yeah!
Good work.
You were so lucky
you put the 'J's on top.
I know.
"Search for the mangrove
and gather 20 snails.
"Cook and eat one snail each
using the traditional methods
"to receive your next clue."
Let's go.
Living off the land and sea
is an Indigenous way of life,
and one local delicacy lives deep
in the mud here in the mangroves.
In this challenge,
our teams must come
to the vast mangrove swamps in Broome
and hunt for 20 fully grown snails.
Then they need to cook one each,
crack them open and eat it
to get their next clue.
And remember, this is
saltwater croc territory
and I've only got
one pair of undies.
Oh!
Let's go, let's go, let's go.
Let's go, let's go, let's go.
'G'.
Come on, Kelly, come on, Kelly.
G-U-J-U-G
The one letter that I had a little
bit of concern about was the 'G'.
W-J-U
When I did my second loop
of the helicopter,
he was pointing at that first letter
and then pointing at me,
and he calls me 'G',
and so that's how I figured out
that they were 'G's instead of 'W's.
Yep, got it.
Fingers crossed.
I'm just worried about the 'G'.
Gujuguju, please get it right,
Georgia.
This is massive.
These are the make-or-break moments.
Hello.
Hi.
'Gujuguju'?
'Gujuguju' is correct.
'Gujuguju'? Yes!
Well done!
Thank you so much.
Here's your next clue.
Thank you so much.
Yes! Let's go! Alright, let's go.
Thank you so much. Yes!
Good job, Georgia.
God, she's a legend.
We're in second place now.
Probably five minutes behind
Frankie and Angel.
They're rubbish with directions so I
reckon we can make some ground here.
And then we'll have a bit of a lead
on Heath and Toni.
So hopefully
they get it wrong again.
I love 'em, but, God, you've
gotta take whatever you can get.
It's not over.
"Cook and eat one snail each
using the traditional method
"to receive your next clue."
You right to drive?
Yep.
Dammit!
I cracked it.
I was so upset with myself.
I was really annoyed.
I felt like I'd thrown away the 250k.
I'm so angry with myself.
Go, go, go, go, go.
Write, baby, write,
like you've never written before.
G-U-J-U.
Can't believe I didn't do that
the first time.
So angry with myself.
'Gujugujugu'.
Hopefully she can get this one
and, um
..we can make up time.
'Gujugujugu'.
'Gujuguju' is correct.
You're in the final,
you don't have room for error.
And we stuffed up.
I'm so sorry.
I can't believe I used my heel.
We're last.
45 minutes ago, we were
literally in last place,
overtaking Kelly and Georgia
in the oyster challenge,
so jumping into second.
And then the helicopter challenge,
Toni and Heath got it wrong.
I was happy to see her
back in line.
So I'm hoping we jump
Frankie and Angel on this one.
It's probably getting
towards the end of the leg,
so we really need to act fast.
Second spot, we've gotta
climb one more.
Smash these snails out.
I'm so sorry.
Let's just reset.
We're third, we're chasing again.
It's where we started.
OK?
Alright, let's go.
"Go through the gate
and head to the mangroves.
"There'll be a rolling demonstration
for locals of locals cooking snails."
Hello.
"Collect 20
and then eat 1 each."
Oh, those are huge.
Are the snails alive
when you cook them?
Yeah, they're alive.
Oh, what a way to die.
Grew up eating them
sometimes, as kids. so
Really? So this is
a traditional food?
Yep, it's been a traditional food
for many centuries.
What do they taste like,
if you had to compare?
You'll probably find out soon.
We will find out soon.
"Once all snails
are cooked and deshelled,
"each team member must eat one."
More meat. Ugh.
I actually ate snail in Paris,
as you do.
And I didn't mind it. I don't
know if I'm meant to say that.
Yeah.
You alright?
Yeah, I just cry, but I'm not gonna.
It's not over yet.
It's not over yet.
Just lock the car. Let's go.
Yep.
"Go through the gate
and head to the mangroves."
Oh, Kelly and Georgia are here.
Just go. Go, go, go.
Just drop your bag.
God, they must have sped.
Yeah, they'd have been speeding,
for sure.
Go away. Just give us a little bit
of time to be in front.
Oh, my gosh.
When we arrived, no-one
had collected any snails yet.
So we were back, level playing field,
with all three.
It's big, isn't it?
And then that's cooked.
I've seen snails in gardens,
but the size of these whoppers!
They were massive.
Pull it out.
That's your shell meat there.
Wow, so we need to go in the mud?
Yeah.
Oh.
Come on, let's go.
Yeah.
Escargot.
OK.
Oh, didn't bring your bags with you.
We made the classic
rookie error in the race.
We should know by now
to bring our bags.
We left them in the boot of the car.
That is absolute bullshit.
Come on, Heath.
In here, in here, Tones. Tones.
I feel so sad because
they're, like, walking around.
I was getting mixed emotions
picking up those shells,
knowing what was gonna
happen to them.
Sorry, snail, today is your day
you see Jesus.
"And I'm gonna eat you."
Got some smaller ones here.
No.
You want big ones.
You want big ones, Heath.
You got any?
Yeah. Got some whoppers.
When we jumped into the mangroves,
Heath didn't go very deep.
And you were finding just a few.
But I went a little bit deeper.
Heath, they're everywhere.
I think I'm good, babe.
Really? Are you sure?
Get two more.
We need 20, G.
Coming.
Ow!
Georgia being
a geography teacher,
she'd probably know
a lot about mangroves,
but I can't say we've
desired to visit them.
They don't seem too appealing.
Got three. Four.
OK, let's go.
Let's go, Heath.
We have to cook all 20, don't we?
No, just two. He just wants two.
We've just gotta cook two, OK.
Yeah.
Who needs a bucket when
you've got a T-shirt?
Whoo.
Kelly, there's so many down here.
How many have you got?
Three.
Quick, G.
19, 20. Yep.
Cook two.
Cook two?
Cook, you bad boys.
You timing this bad boy, though?
No.
He just said when
the bubbling stops.
How many do you eat a day?
Probably 100.
Definitely cooking at snail's pace,
these ones.
Oh, this is gonna be slimy, eh?
Chewy?
You reckon chewy?
Yeah.
Stop bubbling! Stop bubbling!
Have you had these before?
I have. I've had escargot.
Oh?
And it's just kind of like
a garlic booger.
Oh, your pronunciation's
fabulous, husband.
I've had snails before.
I've had a snail before.
Different circumstances.
I was in Paris,
so I was, like, "Why not?"
So we just need a bit of caviar
to go with these snails, thanks.
I kind of forgot for a moment
that it's the finale.
Is this your kind of date?
Maybe it is.
Something new.
Maybe this is my ideal
kind of a date.
Well, you're in luck.
You got it right now.
I'm not one to share how I feel
a lot of the times,
but it's alright to be vulnerable
and be open and
I've told Angel that I do
have feelings for her as well.
Like, it's just grown,
and she's a special person.
We are kind of
in different seasons.
I don't know, the show's done
something to us
where, I don't know, a spark has
kind of come out of nowhere.
And, yeah, I guess we'll just see
where that goes.
Wow.
We're telling the world.
I can't believe you just did that.
Ugh. Ugh.
There you go.
It's green!
Come on, Ange, you got it.
Swallow it, swallow it! Oh.
There was some shell in there.
Uhhh.
Yum.
Thank you. Thank you.
Thank you so much.
Very delicious.
That was an awesome experience.
I can see it. "Road Block."
"Road Block.
"Who's the king of the castle?"
I am, I'm doing it.
Let's go.
OK, open it up.
"Make your way
to Mantra Frangipani Broome,
"and collect a bucket and spade,
"then travel to Simpsons Beach
and locate"
"..a race coloured button hidden
inside 1 of 200 sandcastles."
Let's go.
As well as pearls,
Broome was famous
for turning oyster shells into
beautiful mother-of-pearl buttons
which were sold all over the world.
In this Road Block, teams must drive
to the Mantra Frangipani hotel,
collect a bucket and spade
and head to Simpsons Beach
where they'll be met
with 200 sandcastles.
One team member must then search
through them to find a single button.
Once they locate it,
they'll receive their next clue.
Dammit, they're parked
right here. Let's go.
Straight in. Good work.
Bit sandy but good taste.
That's it, get it in ya.
Cooked, yeah?
Get this done.
Oh.
Lovely. Smash it.
Thank you!
Let's get outta here, Heath.
Come on, let's go.
"Who's the king of the castle?"
Me.
.."locate a race coloured button
hidden inside 1 of 20 sandcastles."
Get out.
Mwah!
OK.
I need to get my bearings first.
- What's it called?
- Mantra Frangipani.
Yeah, go left. Yeah.
Left?
Why do you make me
look on the right?
Just to be safe.
No room for error.
Put it in your gob.
Good, G?
Yeah, I'm good.
OK.
Lock it.
I guess we follow the path.
Holy
Oh, my God.
Oh, so cool!
I've never seen anything like this.
Broome is amazing.
Am I at a beach? Am I in the desert?
I don't know.
Is that the bucket and spade?
"Collect the bucket and spade
from the Mantra Frangipani."
A Mantra, is that a hotel?
"Collect one bucket and spade
from the marked area."
Feck, do we have to go back?
We might need to look at the
Simpsons Beach, we're at
the right place for the beach.
Our clue actually says the bucket
was at a different location.
And it was obviously
just a step that we
..you know, that we missed.
Missed.
I thought this was
Mantra Frangipani.
Did I eat too much of it?
Why?
I think I got
all the guts and stuff.
Just quick, swallow.
Thank you so much. Yay!
Thank you, guys.
Thank you for your help.
Thank you.
"Who's the king of the castle?"
OK, I'll do it, yep.
"Make your way to
the Mantra Frangipani Broome
"and collect a bucket and spade."
Ooh, God.
We can do this.
Let's go.
We're driving 15, 20 minutes back
in the opposite direction.
I hope all the other teams
made the same mistake as we did.
So, where am I going, then?
I don't know.
We have to pull
someone over and ask.
There's no-one out here.
- Tarangau Caravan Park.
- Mantra?
Is that Mantra?
Yeah, Mantra.
There are buckets there.
Where?
Just here.
Let's go and get them.
Let's go, baby, let's go.
We're the first ones
to collect the bucket,
which means we've snuck
back in the lead.
This is another team.
Heath and Toni.
Well, they probably went
and got their bucket
because it's taken them
a while to get here.
Do you just wanna
get out with me?
We'll go in and find it.
Yep.
Let's look on the corners
up here first.
There!
Here!
There's two left,
so someone hasn't made it.
It'd be absolutely life-changing for
us to win the money and the cars.
You know, we're so young. Recently
got married only six months ago.
Will you marry me?
Yes!
We're at the start
of our lives together,
and we wanna have a family
eventually, pursue our dreams.
If you wanna win it,
you've gotta be ready to go.
So that means that we are now
in second. Whoop-whoop-whoop!
Let's go.
So, when I arrived
at the beach,
there were 200 sandcastles
with flags on them.
And I had to find
A button in one of them.
Yeah.
Quick, babe. A system. You need
speed and hands, speed and hands.
There's so many
sandcastles, B.
Be thorough. Like it could
be You need to be thorough.
Oh, my gosh, we're last again.
Let's hope no-one else
has found their button.
It's alright, Ange, we've got it.
Just no more mistakes from here on.
We've got this.
I think it'll be
a pretty big button.
I've never seen that many
sandcastles in my life,
and there was no indication
of where this button could be.
God, there's so many
of these things.
Usually with probability,
there's some sort of formula
or equation you can do.
With this, I came up with
absolutely nothing.
So it was just going to be
a 'wing it' moment.
Come on, sweetheart.
Can you use both hands
at the same time?
Quick, babe. System.
Look at what Heath is doing.
Two hands, darling.
What does two hands do, G?
You can use two.
Yeah, but what is
Double.
Let's go, Frankie.
Good work, babe, good work.
What's your strategy, Frankie?
No real strategy.
I'm just flicking my fingers
through to feel from the inside out,
so that I don't miss anything.
I feel like I was
quite thorough on this.
I kind of went through one
individually
and just swept through from the top
and worked my way down.
I was going left-right,
back-forwards.
I had no system here.
I was just hoping for the best.
Is there a reason
you're back up here?
Well, like it's a guessing, G.
OK.
There's no better chances
of anywhere.
I feel like
you're getting closer.
I pray that you're getting closer.
Come on, Lord, which one is it?
Got it!
Yes?!
We've got it, we've got it?!
You're kidding? How big is it, G?
It's one of those bloody
luck-of-the-draw ones again.
Come on! That person there!
- You've got this.
- Yep.
Thank you so much. Thank you.
Oh. "Route.
"It's time to reflect."
As our teams have travelled
around the world,
they've unknowingly collected clues
from locations that
are close to clock towers.
The first city where I started
dropping subtle hints
was Chefchaouen.
"It's TIME to leave Chefchaouen"
"It's TIME to leave Arachova"
"Take on a Turkish oil wrestler
to earn your next clue."
And it's time to get racing again.
"It's TIME to make your way to
Belize's Ancient Mayan region"
It's also time to start
paying close attention.
"One last time to test
your skills in observation.
"It's TIME to depart from the
Fremantle Town Hall clock tower."
So in this final challenge,
their memory will be tested.
Firstly, they'll be given
six replica clock towers
which they must arrange
in the order they visited.
Once they've put the clock towers
in the correct order,
the judge will give them
six clock faces
set to the six times
they were at each clock tower.
They must then put those times
in the correct order
to reveal a 6-digit code.
If it's a 2-digit time,
they have to add them together.
That code will unlock two padlocks
to open a chest.
And inside the chest
is their final clue.
And I'll see you at the Pit Stop.
Go, go, go.
It's gonna be in this one.
It's just deflating, I think,
knowing you've been busting your
arse for, like, so long and then
We've been down and out so many times
so it ain't over till it's over.
You never know what can happen.
We are the cats with nine lives
so let's keep up
that positivity, please.
Oh, last one.
Freaking hell. Better be in here.
If it's not in the last one,
we're in big trouble.
Please God.
Oh, last one. Fricking hell.
Better be in here.
Please, God.
It's not in here.
It's not there, B.
Huh?
Like, he's done his last one.
Frick, I don't even know
where I started.
Is that the lighthouse? Is
that a lighthouse? That's it there.
That's gotta be it.
Let's go!
There's not a marked path?
Yeah, there, there. Arrow.
OK. In order.
In order.
Pink.
That'sgotta be Mexico, right?
With this challenge,
we had to do the clock towers
in the order that
you've actually come across them
and then also at what time
we were there.
First to last?
Left to right, so Freo last. Right.
Chefchaouen.
Chefchaouen Clock Tower.
That one? Yeah, get the notes out.
We took notes on clock towers.
We noticed early on in the race
"It's TIME."
.."It's TIME" was standing out
on numerous starts of legs.
Izmir is the big bugger.
That's that one, right?
He could be the big bugger.
Izmir is second?
Turkey, yeah. Second.
Belize was third.
How do you know that?
I've never felt so anxious
and stressed
as I had at that moment.
And we were just trying
to calm our nerves
but it was extremely hard
to keep your head clear.
Check, please.
Oh, OK.
OK.
Get out your map.
That's definitely it.
Yeah, I reckon that's it.
Alright, what do we do?
I can't. Like, I'm never gonna
find it in the sand, B.
What's your game plan now,
Frankie?
I'm gonna have to go back over
every single thing that I dug.
We were trying everything possible
but there's just no way of knowing
which one it's in.
We found, like,
a little hermit crab.
So he actually came and started
searching where the crab was.
We've missed it.
But it's in here somewhere.
I think the hermit crab
is leading us to the castle
that the button's in.
Reveal that button, Lord.
Where is it?
They're so clo Oh, got it!
Oh, thank God.
Check.
Yeah, excuse me.
Yep.
Oh, my gosh.
Thank you.
Alright. Let's go.
Pain in the backside. Thank you.
"Route Info.
"Make your way to Gantheaume Point
"and identify
a series of clock towers
"that you have visited
on your journey."
Let's go.
It's OK.
That was the most frustrating
Road Block.
It was like, "OK, fingers crossed
Heath and Toni have got lost
"and they don't remember
any of the clocks."
I'm, like, trying not to picture
them on the Pit Stop right now.
This is first to last?
Arachova. The eagle is
Where's the eagle?
Yeah, that's definitely Freo.
And then we went to where?
Izmir.
Let's try that. Check, please.
God! I've got me pictures
and everything.
I've cut myself.
Of course you have.
Thank you so much.
Yes!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Thank you! Thanks, sir.
OK.
Do you have a clue or? Yeah?
Oh!
Times. Times.
I've got them, got that.
There's a lighthouse there.
Is that the lighthouse?
Must be.
"Lighthouse use only."
"Take the clock faces provided
"and place them on the front
of the table,
"indicating which time
you visited each clock tower."
We knew the clock tower was a thing
but I took note of all the timings
that we did the rip and reads.
I actually knew everything
off the top of the head.
There's something 10 o'clock.
Hang on.
Babe, you psychopath.
6:00.
Fremantle was 6:20 to 6:25.
6:00 will do.
And then
What times have you got left?
Read the thing.
Wait, babe. Wait, hang fire.
So Chefchaouen is 6:00 to 7:00.
Izmir was definitely that.
We went there. That was
Everything's gonna be wrong
That was Toni.
We went to the square.
That was definitely 6:00, yeah.
Yeah, and that's right.
I think we're right.
Right, maybe. Maybe.
I don't even know
what to do, legit, like.
Keep going, B.
But what more can I do?
Like, there's so much sand here.
We don't know where it is.
Just, like, sucks, that
it's, like, on luck, I guess.
But he's literally
working so hard.
I knew they were getting
further and further away
and our race dream could be over.
Oh, frig.
What does it say?
"Follow the marked path to
the location and choose a station."
Down here?
We go right.
Let's go, Frankie.
Sure we didn't miss anything else?
Do you wanna, like, thread, like,
your fingers through or something?
I don't know.
Our mantra from the get-go
has been 'never give up on anything'.
Good job, B.
Great organising of your area.
Oh, my God.
Fluoro yellow as well.
How did I not see it
in the other ones?
Yay.
Many hours later.
Alright, let's get out of here.
Thank you so much.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Alright.
"Route Info.
"It's time to reflect
on your race journey."
It's so easy.
So easy.
We have them all written down.
I'm literally so proud of Kelly,
so it's honestly just, like,
just got to finish the race.
Love you.
Love you.
I'm so sorry.
Don't be sorry.
Alright.
What do we do?
"Once you have the times,
"use these times and enter them
in the combination locks
"in the chest below.
"If a time is two digits,
"you must add them together
to get the final number,
"i.e., if the time is 12,
the number will be 3."
OK, so, 6.
11
2?
..is 2.
10. 1 plus 0 is 1.
That's 6, that's 4 and that's 6.
Right.
Do you know where we are?
Yeah. OK, keep going.
Is there a marked area?
Keep your eyes peeled.
6, 2
..1.
Yes!
Yes!
Get your bag. Get your bag.
"Route.
"Make your way" Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
"Make your way on foot to find Beau
at the final Pit Stop.
"Hurry - the first team to arrive
will take the biggest prize
"in Amazing Race history."
Frick! Come on!
Gantheaume Point is
the southernmost tip of Cable Beach
and is the land
where dinosaurs once roamed,
where the stunning red clifftops
meet the turquoise ocean,
and parked in this picturesque
setting are two - yes, two - Isuzus,
the D-MAX and the Isuzu MU-X.
The first team to arrive at the mat
will be taking
both of these bad boys home.
So, it's the perfect place
for the final Pit Stop
of The Amazing Race Australia
where one team
will be crowned winners, baby.
- Oh, my God!
- Heath
Oh, my God!
OK, we've got to remember
all the clocks.
OK, the last one was the Perth one.
That was the green one.
Yep, so, put the green one
in the last spot.
We definitely
were not tracking the clocks.
It was hard enough to remember
what countries we had been to,
let alone what clocks
we had visited.
Wait. Why do you think that's there?
That was in Mexico
That's this one here.
..after we did the food.
Let's just keep swapping
this one out.
So much of me just is ready
to give up and chuck it in.
It's getting harder and harder
and I'm tired.
Oh, shit.
But we're too close now.
I can't give up.
I have to keep pushing.
We've been making notes on
the towers for a lot of the race.
Probably the second time we saw
the words 'TIME' in bold,
we knew that this would be
the final challenge,
so hopefully we'll go alright.
Yes!
Oh, yes!
Oh, my God, yes.
Thank you.
OK, now we need the times.
When did we go to that clock?
It was when we did
the painting of the stairs.
Once you get to the rocks,
you have to slow down.
We're not there yet!
Let's finish this, OK?
Yep.
So, 6.
So, I'm gonna put in 4, 11 and 6?
OK, that's wrong.
OK, swap them around.
So, you do the one I did.
It's wrong.
I love you so much.
I'm so proud of you, OK?
Love you so much. So proud of you
too. We're not there yet!
I know. We're nearly there.
Let's go.
What are you trying now?
6, 4, 1.
We can't let them beat us, Frankie.
Oh, my God!
- 6, 4, 6.
- 6.
Oh, yeah.
Yes. Oh, my gosh.
"Route Info. Make your way on foot
and find Beau at the final Pit Stop.
"Hurry - the first team
to arrive will take home
"the biggest prize
in Amazing Race history."
Let's go.
Come on. Let's go, Frankie.
Toni!
What?
Look at the cars!
Go slow!
Slow.
Oh!
There's more.
Stay positive. Keep going.
I know it's a long hike,
but you're doing well.
Is he just there? Heath, is he?
Don't know.
Heath, let's just climb.
Oh!
You alright?
Yes! Go!
Watch your step, baby!
Be careful!
Where the hell's this Pit Stop?
Final Pit Stop. We've been away
for a long, long time.
Surely we're getting close.
Frick is he?
Are we going the right way?
Where is he?
There's the flags. Here.
Alright, here we go.
He's here, Toni!
Oh, my God!
Oh, my God!
Heath and Toni,
you are the first team to check in!
And you've won
The Amazing Race Australia!
I love you, sweetheart!
Oh, my God, Beau! Beau!
Oh, my God! Oh, my God!
Oh, bro!
Oh, my God!
I love you so much.
Oh, my God, you're an inspiration.
You're an inspiration.
You've just won the biggest prize
in history -
250 grand cash.
And a D-MAX!
And the two Isuzus.
You pick one.
You can have the D-MAX or the M-UX.
The choice is yours, darling.
Oh, my God. Is this real?
If anyone deserves it, it's you guys.
You've been the best team this season
by a long way.
Tell me a bit about each other.
What does he mean to you?
He is He's my rock. I'm so sorry
that I've given you so much grief.
You have.
But then how good's this?
Oh, mate, she is my world.
I hate that cancer
is gonna tear us apart, but
..we wanted to make memories
and we've done that.
I just think
it's absolutely phenomenal
that someone who's going through
what she's going through
has come out here and just
..won The Amazing Race, baby!
You're not meant to have
a favourite team, but come on, man.
I can't believe it. Is this real?!
Came in first, baby!
We couldn't have asked for
anything more from this race.
Back in Sydney,
we thought potentially
we could get into the final,
but then when we met the others
up in Chefchaouen
What the
..we were, like,
"Oh, well. It's been fun."
Like, it's just mental,
the things that we've done.
There's sharks right under me.
You're sexy as, baby!
Do you want to marry me again?
Turn. Oh, shit, Oh, shit.
Heath and Toni,
this is a Non-Elimination Leg.
Yes! I told you.
Just something clicked
after that Non-Elim.
Yes!
Oh, my God, this is stunning.
We've achieved more than
we ever thought we could.
And I'm glad that I've been
well enough to give this my all.
I'm so proud of this woman.
Smash it!
What she's done on this race can
show whoever's going through cancer
that, yeah, it's shit,
life's shit,
but, also,
life can be amazing still.
Well done, bro!
I'm so glad that he kind of
encouraged us to apply
to come on this show
'cause it's been amazing.
Time is so precious, hey?
Yeah.
I can't believe it!
I can't believe it!
As I'm walking to
the Pit Stop,
it hit me in that moment.
Like, I knew it was over for us.
I pull out a jersey
out of my backpack,
which is my dad's,
and I envisioned myself
wearing the jersey
when I won the race,
when I stood on the Pit Stop,
because I wanted to make him proud.
Angel and Frankie, you are
the second team to check in
and you are the runners-up
on The Amazing Race Australia.
Oh, bless.
Congratulations.
Thank you.
Congratulations.
Sorry.
All good.
I would never be able to bring
what we bring together as a team
with anybody else.
We've just been so open
to learning new things
and getting involved in
different cultures and traditions
and I've actually had
the best time ever with her.
Hey, it's alright.
You done amazing.
But, second, come on.
You can't complain with that.
Last stairs. You wanna jump?
Whee!
Here we go.
Ready? One, two, three.
Kelly and Georgia,
you are the third team to check in.
Oh, yeah!
Congratulations. Top three.
I mean, we had 20 teams
and the quality was extremely high.
It gets better every year and this is
our biggest season so far,
so congratulations.
You should be proud of each other.
Thank you so much.
Thank you.
Go and enjoy it. Go and enjoy it.
Now, while these guys enjoy
their brand-new Isuzus
and their 250 grand cash,
you should be going to
10play/amazingracecasting
and applying for The Amazing Race
right now.
It'll change your life,
I promise you.
- How's the cars, guys?
- We love it!
This could be you next season.
I gotta go home.
Yeah, baby! Whoo!
