The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse (2024) s01e08 Episode Script

Young Heroes

1
[Ironside] "Hope," you say?
Magic that converts others' emotions
into one's own strength?
Unbelievable!
Perhaps I underestimated
the potential you hold, Percival.
That said, all you managed to do
is buy yourself a little more time.
This city will soon meet its end,
and then the ritual will begin.
[theme music]
YOUNG HEROES
[clamoring]
[Darak] Don't let anyone escape.
Sacrifice them all!
We must activate the Coffin
of Eternal Darkness, you understand me?
[clamoring]
[grunting]
Wait! Stop, please! Don't eat me!
[man whimpers]
[crying]
[shattering]
[screaming]
[Darak] What the
[Ironside] Darak,
are the sacrifices ready?
The ritual's been prepared
for some time now.
The thing is
I'm not exactly sure what's happening.
[Ironside] What's the matter?
[Darak] We're suddenly under
a mysterious attack,
and the creatures are dropping
one after the other!
[Ironside] By whom? How many are there?
I don't know.
Their identity
and numbers remain to be seen.
All right, what happened here?
[growling]
[Darak] So, is it you?
Are you behind these attacks?
[intense music]
[screams]
[explosions]
All of the monsters are being defeated.
Is it an order of Holy Knights?
[Donny] Sin must've called in
for some backup.
He's incredible, isn't he?
[grunts]
Sorry, Ironside,
but it looks like you've lost!
[Ironside grumbles]
Indeed, that appears to be so.
It's amazing how much you've grown
in such a short period of time, Percival.
I'm sure Varghese would have liked
to see your heroic actions as well.
You have no right to say that
when you killed him!
[Ironside] Yes.
Though it was my mission,
I ended Varghese with my own hands.
Furthermore, I tried to kill you,
my son, twice.
But I doubt I'll ever get to see you again
as I'll be held responsible
for the failure of my mission
and be executed.
It's what I deserve.
Though I followed my lord's orders,
I strayed too far off the moral path.
[gasps]
[Ironside] My son, please allow me
one last close look at your face.
So I can at least picture it
before I meet my bitter end.
Uh
- [Anne] Don't be fooled, Percival!
- [gasps]
[Anne] Everything that leaves
that man's mouth is a despicable lie.
He's devoid of any feelings
of empathy, regret, or compassion.
His ritual's been stopped,
so all he can do now is try and kill you.
[Percival grunts]
[wind howling]
[grunts]
[Ironside] What a relentlessly
annoying brat of a girl!
But she's right.
I'll do everything in my power
to crush the life out of you
here and now, Percival!
[grunting]
[Ironside] There's no escape!
[suspenseful music]
[screams]
He's so incredibly fast!
My friends' faith in me,
that's gonna give me
the strength to beat you.
[Ironside] Then quit running and fight.
Ugh I still feel numb!
[mini Percivals] Smoke! Smoke! Smoke!
[Ironside] A smoke screen?
[Donny screams]
[Ironside] Don't underestimate me!
I can predict your moves with ease!
[Sin] Percy, don't try to engage
in a real fight with that guy.
He's at least
ten times stronger than you imagine.
[angry grunt]
As long as Ironside is near that Coffin,
our range of movement will be limited.
You're right. If only we could pull him
away from that thing somehow.
[gasps]
Donny, hey!
Hm? Yeah, what is it?
[Ironside] How much longer
do you plan to run from me?
All right! Let's finish this.
[grunts]
[Ironside] There's no point in resisting.
You can't defeat me, Percival.
And that may be true, but still
[laughs]
The fact is
you're not gonna win this, Ironside!
Because I am!
[Ironside] No
[determined shout]
[Ironside grunts]
[zapping]
We have to at least
grab one of the fragments.
[cracks]
[clanking]
[dramatic music]
[all gasp]
Oh, wow, is that really Ironside?
So that's what
Percival's father looks like.
[foreboding music]
You're such a disappointment, Percival.
A good-for-nothing failure.
[grunts]
[Ironside] Do you actually think
that was enough to thwart our plans?
Don't be so naive.
I just have to kill you and restore
the Coffin of Eternal Darkness once more.
Huh!
[grunts nervously]
[Ironside] Besides, there are plenty
of people to sacrifice
in the lands of Britannia,
outside of Sistana.
In the end, all you managed to do
was momentarily halt the ritual.
All that's left for me here
is to crush the life out of you.
[grunts]
[Mortlach] Unfortunately, this is where
you have to stop, Ironside.
- [Percival] Huh?
- Hey, who is that?
Is he with Ironside too?
Where in the world did he come from?
Now, let go. You understand me?
Your title only takes you
so far, Mortlach.
[Mortlach] Oh, relax. Relax!
Look, I get it.
You're frustrated that
the ritual was ruined at the last minute.
And you feel responsible for allowing
one of the Four Knights
of the Apocalypse to slip away.
But you failed to anticipate
the mysterious enemy
that wiped out
all the creatures in the city.
Then you uncovered their identity?
[Mortlach] Nope.
But I can make an educated guess.
What you summoned forth were
greater-level creatures, were they not?
And the enemy has the ability
to annihilate them all within an instant.
There's only one thing I can think of
capable of that kind of power.
One of the legendary heroes
of the Seven Deadly Sins,
or at the very least,
someone on par with them.
[grumbles]
[gasping]
Did he just say
someone from the Seven Deadly Sins?
There's no way!
[Mortlach] And if that's the case,
then we're the ones in danger.
I think the safest idea
is to pull back for now.
Mm what choice do we have?
[grunts]
[all groan]
What gives? I'm so exhausted.
I'm completely worn out too.
I feel like I'm gonna lose my mind.
[laughs hysterically]
Phew.
I thought I was gonna die back there.
- He did die once, though, didn't he?
- [Percival laughing]
[sighs]
But even so,
we stood our ground against
an enemy way stronger than us.
We didn't stand our ground.
We didn't even hold a candle to that man.
Without Percival being there,
we all would've been
wiped out in an instant.
And let us not forget
who decided to run away
when things were toughest for us!
Look, I feel bad about it, okay?
That's wrong.
We all worked together to stop him!
I couldn't have done it alone.
Donny, Nasiens, Anne,
you made it all possible.
- [Kalden] Anne!
- [gasps]
[Anne] Father!
[pants]
[soft grunt]
[Kalden] Thank goodness you're okay.
[Anne] I'm sorry.
I didn't try to understand your reasons
for obeying his order the way you did.
[grunting]
[Sin] Mission accomplished, huh?
[all] Uh?
[Percival, Donny, Nasiens] Sin!
[excited gasps]
Hey, Sin, tell me
who defeated the monsters?
What sort of backup
did you bring in for us?
Did you really go out and fetch
those legendary criminals?
You really want to know?
[all] Yes, please!
I called all my forest buddies.
What?
[Anne grunts worriedly]
As if anyone would ever believe that!
How amazing! Be sure to thank them for me.
What kind of animals are they?
So are they big? What color are they?
They're red and bigger than you, Percy.
You're just making all this up,
aren't you?
Oh! And speaking of big,
what about my cape? Look at it!
- What a scatterbrain.
- [yelping]
Wait! It's back to normal now!
But it was huge a second ago.
- I promise, guys!
- [yawns]
Perhaps the cape changed its size
in response to your magic.
Hm?
[Nasiens gasps]
- [squeals]
- Your back is showing, Nasiens!
- [laughs]
- Percival!
[Percival] Woohoo!
[laughs]
- Whoopee!
- Well, that's a relief.
He's back to being himself.
It's amazing when you think about it.
He just crossed swords
with the man who killed his grandfather.
[laughing]
Woohoo!
Ugh! Oh, no!
Wh-What's the matter? Are you okay?
[grunts]
I've got a poop on the way.
Go somewhere else
and take care of your business!
[Percival groans]
I've got to hurry!
Man. His mind really is blank, isn't it?
- I'm not so sure.
- Hm?
[Sin sighs]
[gentle music]
[Percival] That bastard
He looked just like Grandpa.
How pitiful. You've returned empty-handed
Sir Ironside.
Interesting.
The Four Knights
of the Apocalypse, you say?
[laughing]
My Lord, this is no laughing matter.
Pass along this message
the next time you see him.
"You're more than welcome
to come and try to defeat me,
the Arthur Pendragon himself. Good luck!"
Sir Ironside,
your failure disappoints me so.
Such a shame! A golden opportunity
to crush our greatest enemy, Liones,
presented itself to us
and yet you squandered it.
I can't believe someone of your caliber
would lose against a child,
even if he is one of
the Four Knights of the Apocalypse.
Or perhaps, I should say, against
one of the Four Knights of the Apocalypse,
who also happened to be a child.
[Ironside] I have no intention
of making any excuses for myself.
Your Majesty, punish me
as you will for my failure.
[scoffs]
You know what, that's what
I appreciate about you, Ironside.
[grunts in pain]
[screams]
From ancient times up until
the Holy War that occurred 16 years ago,
humans have gotten themselves
entangled with other races
and suffered for it.
[Arthur] That's why I created
a place of peace where no one suffers,
no one grieves.
A place where nobody has to live
in fear of being endangered
by any threat or catastrophe
This place that is Camelot.
[grunts]
You must understand,
I want to free all of it.
Not just this kingdom,
but all of Britannia, for humans.
However, the Seven Deadly Sins
and the recently emerged
Four Knights of the Apocalypse,
as long as threats like those two exist,
no land will ever know
what true peace is like.
[screams in pain]
You know that, right?
I highly doubt you're willing to give up
the blessings of Camelot, either.
So don't disappoint me
with silly mistakes like this.
I trust you know what will happen
if you fail me again.
But in case you don't
[screams]
[pants]
[Ironside] The numbness
[Arthur] How do you feel?
The poison in your body
is gone now, right?
[laughs]
Yes.
I assure you that
I'll live up to your expectations.
I'll head to Britannia
straight away, Your Majesty.
There I'll finish off Percival
[Arthur] No, no, no.
There's no need for that.
More importantly, I want you
to do something else for me.
Uh
As it stands right now,
we're always finding ourselves
one step behind in this war.
And my patience is wearing thin.
Thin, right, Merlin?
There's only one reason for that.
Our enemy now has control of the Vision,
and our only way
of getting a glimpse of the future
is by stealing a look at it for ourselves.
[Ironside] Your Majesty,
shall I seize the Vision?
[Arthur] No, no, you've got it wrong!
Think, Sir Ironside,
they'll be on guard against that.
Seizing the Vision is
a rather difficult task,
which is why I found something better.
Something better, Your Majesty?
What I need of you right now
is to find me a bride.
Huh?
Without every one of you,
I don't know
what would have become of Sistana.
I can't thank you all enough.
[laughs]
But thanks to that bastard,
all the houses here got destroyed.
[Kalden] Houses can be rebuilt.
What matters is that
not a single inhabitant of this city
became a victim, thanks to your efforts.
I've been meaning to ask you, Sin.
After they helped us, where did the order
of Holy Knights that you fetched go?
Oh, you mean my forest buddies?
They're probably eating breakfast now.
Come on, tell us the truth. Who were they?
- Mm?
- Don't even bother.
- [Kalden] Percival.
- Hm?
I'm sorry.
I hear that you're Ironside's son.
If so, it must be hard.
I'm fine. Even if he wasn't my dad,
I still would've stopped him.
Hey, Mister, did you know
who Ironside was?
Yes.
But he was more of an acquaintance
of my wife, to be precise.
All I know is they both served
as Holy Knights together
under King Arthur in Camelot.
[Kalden] According to my wife,
he was a noble and honest man,
filled with a strong sense of justice.
No freaking way!
[gasps]
It seems he's quite different
from what I'd expected.
[Percival] Mm
Oh, right, and one more thing.
I have a favor
to ask of you before you go.
[Anne] Father.
[gasps]
Huh?
- Ugh
- Wha
[sighs]
Hear me out, please, it's all I ask.
I still want to become a Holy Knight.
Fighting against Ironside made me
painfully aware of something
That I'm completely inexperienced,
incompetent, and an immature novice.
So, I want to protect what's dear to me,
even if I have to protect it by myself,
by becoming a great Holy Knight.
That's also why I want to go
on a journey for training.
I understand how you feel very well.
But you're not traveling,
not alone, that is.
[gasps]
Why can't you just let me
Hold on. Does this mean
What do you say
we journey together, Anne, huh?
[emotional gasp]
Well, it's not like
I have a problem with it.
We already feel like she's one of us.
Mm
You've grown up to be
just like your mother.
Stubborn attitude and all
And I wouldn't have it
any other way, my dear.
I still have your eyebrows, Father!
Safe travels, Anghalhad.
I'll be here, always cheering you on.
[closing theme music]
Hey, Sin.
What do you think Ironside's trying
to achieve by doing all these?
Not a clue.
What I do know is that sooner or later,
you're destined
to cross paths with him again.
Why? Because I'm one of
the Four Knights of the Apocalypse
that will destroy the world?
That's right.
Mm?
- [sighs]
- [Sin] Hey, don't look so sad.
If you're worried, get stronger.
Strong enough
to beat your dad and your fate.
[sighs]
You up for it?
Yeah! You betcha!
With all of you by my side,
I feel like I can become
a whole lot stronger, you know!
[soft chuckle]
Hey, come on, Percival!
[Anne] What are you
dragging your feet for?
[Nasiens] We're gonna leave you behind!
[Percival] Wait for me, you guys!
I'm coming!
