The Summit (2024) s01e07 Episode Script

The Snowline

1
BECKYLEE:
Paranoid people
-flip.
-[wind whistling]
MANU:
16 people began this journey
with a million dollars
on their backs.
Now only eight remain,
and the mountain's keeper has
been watching their every move.
They're closing in
on the summit
JEANNIE:
Summit, here we come!
MANU:
but the mountain
continues to test them
as obstacles and terrain
become more difficult
and dangerous.
I don't want to do it.
-I want to quit.
-MANU: Bodies and minds
-have been tested
-[screams]
I'm mad, I'm angry.
MANU:
and the mountain's keeper
hasn't run out of surprises.
DUSTY:
"There aren't any tents
"or supplies
at the next checkpoint.
"Will three of you decide
to carry these bags
up a steep hill in order
to feed the group?"
-Let's take it.
-I can carry it.
JENNYE: I don't volunteer
to step forward
because of my injury.
I'm hoping that I didn't
put my name
out there on the chopping block.
-I'll carry an extra backpack.
-I could do it, too.
This is a great opportunity
to show that I am a team player.
MANU:
With limited days left
to reach the summit,
trust is wearing thin.
NICK:
Becky and Punkin
would kick me out of this game,
and that worries me.
DUSTY:
I'm just gonna be ruthless
and piss everyone off.
PUNKIN:
I do not trust Dennis at all.
MANU:
Nobody is safe
[shouts]
JENNYE:
People know about my injury,
and any little thing
can make people vote you off.
MANU:
and another member
of the group
has left the mountain.
Well, I guess tonight's vote
is about getting rid
of the weak.
Tonight, they'll need to reach
the next level of the mountain.
Your challenge today
is to reach the snow line.
-Oh, forget it.
-But it won't be easy.
Who knows how to swim?
The remaining eight have over
$870,000 left in their packs
[wind whistling]
but relationships
are starting to crumble.
Nick, you tol--
you made it clear to me
I needed to vote Jennye off.
I did not tell you that.
Why are you saying that?
I do think Amy needs to be next.
Buckle up,
we're about to start playing.
[wind whistling]
NICK: Did I tell you
to vote for Jennye?
AMY:
You made me feel that way, yes.
I didn't tell you
who to vote for.
Everyone can vote
for whoever they want,
I just don't want
to be the reason
that you voted
whichever way you wanted.
If that upset you,
that was-- actually,
I was giving you information
that I had
-that I was, like
-NICK: The o-- the only reason
all this started,
uh, honestly, Amy,
is because right when
the vote was just cast
and everyone got up,
you looked directly at me
and said, "You said
it would be unanimous."
I said, "I thought you said
it was gonna be unanimous."
AMY:
So it's got to be unanimous?
That's not what you said.
-That's not what you said.
-AMY: Okay.
What happened was
Amy was basically
scapegoating her vote
and putting it on me.
When she started calling me out,
honestly, it was perfect,
because I needed a reason
to turn the target on Amy
'cause I think
she should be next.
Mm-kay.
DUSTY:
Whatever food we brought in,
let's just dig into it.
NICK:
Amy's time is coming, so
let the games begin.
[wind whistling]

I woke up, like, four times
just shivering.
I'm surprised your glasses
aren't frosted over.
JEANNIE:
Amy, can you believe
that we are, like,
ten days in
-No.
-to this journey?
-No.
-To the summit?
-No.
-I can't believe it.
I mean, us two moms?
The oldest ones here?
[laughs softly] I definitely
feel that way this morning.
Yeah, me, too.
AMY:
Yeah.

AMY:
I think, day ten,
paranoia sets in for everybody,
and we don't know
how the game's gonna end,
who's gonna get to the summit,
but we're realizing
that the numbers are dwindling.
DENNIS: It's, like, day ten,
and I wake up
to the best alarm clock,
which is Amy
talking smack about me,
telling Jeannie to turn on me.
But I'm the Korean Cockroach,
and I'm gonna somehow
slide out of this.
We're at the end, it's
-it's been hitting everyone
pretty hard.
-Yeah.
-Yeah.
-Yeah, I agree.
-Even me.
I agree. It is very emotional.
Even though I know
I hate you and you hate me,
and that's fine with me,
I'll still be nice to you.
-[laughs]
-Look at that, a straight hole.
-AMY: My only dry pair.
-But that doesn't mean
that I won't cut you off
in a second.
MANU:
Good morning.
-JEANNIE: Oh.
-BECKYLEE: Good morning.
-DENNIS: Oh, hey.
-PUNKIN: Good morning.
-JEANNIE: Ugh.
-DENNIS: We weren't
expecting you
-this early in the morning.
-JEANNIE: Yeah.
DUSTY:
Got to be kidding.
So, how was your night?
-BECKYLEE: Freezing.
-ALL: Cold.
Temperature's dropped
below freezing.
How are you feeling?
Still tired, yeah.
MANU:
Well, today,
the push toward
the summit really begins.
[Punkin laughs]
-MANU: No, really.
-Oh, forget it.
MANU:
Your challenge today
is to reach the snow line
and once you enter
this part of the mountain,
you'll be in the snow
for the remainder of your climb.
It's gonna sort out
the strong from the weak.
You're really gonna have
to start making decisions now
about who it is that's gonna
help you get to the summit.
This lake here,
it has sheer cliffs on each side
too dangerous to climb,
so your only way
to get to the summit
is from the other side
of the lake.
Who here knows how to swim?
How far can you swim?
-JEANNIE: Not that far.
-PUNKIN: Not that far.
[chuckles]
I'm not gonna ask you
to swim that far.
-Ah, thank God.
-THERRON: Thank you.
Thank you. [laughs]
But you do need to get
to the other side.
How are we doing that?
[chuckles]
You want a little help?
AMY:
Yes, please.
Yes.
[helicopter whirring]
BECKYLEE:
Wow.
Oh, my God.
Well, those rafts aren't gonna
paddle themselves to shore.
BECKYLEE:
Who's going in?
Yeah, someone's
got to go get it.
BECKYLEE:
Is anybody willing
to go in right now?
-Yeah, I'll do it.
-DUSTY: You feel good?
-BECKYLEE: You'll do it, Nick?
-DUSTY: You sure?
Yeah, I can do it.
JEANNIE:
Oh, my God, that's crazy.
-DENNIS: You sure you want
to do this, Nick?
-Yeah.
NICK:
Every decision,
I'm trying to think
two days, three days in advance
how I can look back
and just find a way
to get myself ahead in the game,
and obviously,
last night at camp,
there was a little bit of
a blowup between me and Amy.
Just felt like the right time
to maybe try to,
you know,
bring everybody back in.
[inhales sharply]
[exhales]
-Oh, you know that's so cold.
-Yeah.
[grunts]
DUSTY:
Hey, breathe! Breathe!
Let's get the fire going
for when he gets back.
JEANNIE:
Oh, my God!
Go, Nick!

PUNKIN:
We're trying, Nick.
We're trying.
We got to get these
little sticks to catch.
BECKYLEE:
You know that's freezing.
[grunting]
Breathe through it!
Oh, wait.
THERRON:
There might be oars
in the middle.
-Almost to the rafts!
-BECKYLEE: Almost there!
-BECKYLEE: Nice!
-[Therron whoops]
Now bring 'em back.
[grunting]
There we go. Let's let that sit.
DENNIS:
We got it. We got it. We got it.
-PUNKIN: I got a towel for him.
-THERRON: Yes.
DENNIS:
Hell yeah, brother.
My lungs just
DENNIS:
Good stuff. Here.
Words can barely describe
how cold that was.
Man, my lungs.
-Slow breaths. Slow breaths.
-That was,
by far, the coldest thing
that I've ever had to do.
JEANNIE:
You did great, Nick.
-[grunts]
-Took one for the team.
NICK:
There definitely was
some strategy involved
in that decision.
AMY:
That was awesome, man.
-JEANNIE: Yeah, thank you.
-Good job, boss.
I guess we'll find out
how it worked.
[wind whistling]
BECKYLEE:
If we want to make it by sunset,
-we really have to go.
-JEANNIE: Yeah, we have to
-DENNIS: Yeah,
we have to get moving.
-JEANNIE: Yep.
JEANNIE:
Want to have guy, girl, guy,
girl just to have more manpower
-instead of two girls?
-NICK: Yeah, I don't think
that's a bad idea.
PUNKIN:
So do y'all two want to go?
Y'all two, y'all two
-and us two?
-JEANNIE: Yeah, Dennis,
me and you?
-Is that cool?
-PUNKIN: No, you and Therron.
No, I didn't know.
I thought you pointed at him.
We partner up,
I get Mama Jeannie
-You ready?
-Yeah, you ready?
THERRON
and we can only get
to our next checkpoint
by crossing this lake.
And I'm actually really excited
to do something
that does not involve heights.
BECKYLEE:
Everybody ready?
MANU: Today, the group must
cross a frigid alpine lake,
and then navigate across
a massive chasm.
As they make their way
to the seventh
of nine checkpoint camps,
they'll continue to ascend
higher altitudes
en route to the summit.
Thinner air and
more strenuous treks abound.
The group only have
four days left of this journey.
-THERRON: Left.
-Left.
-Right.
-Right.
-BOTH: Left.
-THERRON: Ooh. Right
-We going, we going
a little too hard on the right.
-Whoa.
-JEANNIE: What the
-Oh, no! Okay, wait, wait.
-Uh, let's spin around.
-JEANNIE: Okay.
-One
-Mm-hmm.
Two. Now the other way.
-One
-Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
THERRON:
Oh. Just, let's-let's just spin.
BECKYLEE:
Where you going, Therron?
THERRON:
We are doing it dumbly!
Okay.
-Damn it.
-No, we're good.
We were zooming.
JEANNIE:
We're not that great with this,
but we're doing it.
-NICK: Right, left.
-[Punkin grunts]
I've never seen anything
as beautiful as this.
The lake,
the mountain behind it.
I'm thinking, "The summit
is definitely within reach,"
but we don't know
what's coming up,
what the mountain's keeper
has in store.
There's only four days left.
I can smell the money
that I'm carrying in my bag,
and I can't wait.
[Nick whoops]
I'll tell you what,
you look badass.
[both laugh]
DENNIS:
A-Amy this morning,
I woke up to her
trying to get Jeannie
to turn on me.
-BECKYLEE: Uh-huh.
-And obviously, I heard that,
and obviously,
I'm the easy target,
-as always.
-Yep.
DENNIS:
So I think she's just trying
to rally up the troops.
So what are your thoughts
on who needs to go next?
You think it's Amy?
DENNIS:
Yeah. Uh, it's gonna be
Amy and me.
-Yeah, we're down
to, what, eight?
-Yeah.
All I need is five.
I get paired up with Beckylee,
and I'm gonna
take advantage of that.
I just want to see
where her head's at
because it's really hard
to have my back in this game
'cause, obviously,
I've done a lot of things
that are kind of shady,
and I'm deceiving.
And manipulative.
BECKYLEE:
You're a trooper.
I feel really bad for Dennis.
People have been gunning for him
for the past,
I don't know, four nights,
but with Amy,
her and I have been close,
but the more
this game progresses,
the more nervous she makes me
because she is good
with everyone,
and she's also somebody
that is like, "Oh, you know,
I like you, so I can't
morally vote for you."
Um, I don't like that.
And I trust Dennis. Like,
I think he's a messy player,
but I think I can try
to mold him.
DENNIS:
Nothing I can't handle, Becks.
DUSTY:
This is so nice, Ames.
-AMY: It really is, Dusty.
-This is incredible.
-Normally, you have to pay
to do this.
-Right?
DUSTY:
This might be my new
happiest moment out here.
-AMY: Really?
-DUSTY: Yeah.
This is incredible,
and I'm with someone
I actually like.
Sames!
DUSTY: I think, naturally,
I am a perfectionist,
and I constantly am trying to be
as good of a man as my dad is.
I was always lucky enough
for my dad to coach me,
and he held me
to a very high standard
in multiple areas of life,
but especially in sports.
One occurrence happened
where I struck out
in Little League
and I started crying.
He kind of grabbed me
by the chest, a little bit,
on my jersey, and he said,
"Don't ever do that again.
"Grow up, don't cry,
make sure that you're being
a good teammate."
And still, to this day,
a big part of my personality is,
sometimes to a fault,
holding a really
high standard for myself.
We are so dialed.
We are so dialed.
THERRON: Oh, my God,
we got to turn left.
We got to turn left.
-Left?
-THERRON: Right. Oh, my gosh.
-Left.
-THERRON: Okay, hold on. Wait.
Left.
We can't really get
the hang of this canoe.
Right. Oh, my gosh.
Okay, hold on. Wait.
-What the heck?
-THERRON: Oh, no!
-I wasn't even doing
-THERRON: Okay, wait, wait.
We're gonna make it
maybe a couple minutes
behind everybody else,
but we're gonna make it.
Left. Left.
-Left.
-THERRRON: If I had to hear
Jeannie say "left"
-one more time
-Left.
I would shoot myself
in the eye.
JEANNIE:
Left.
Left. Left.
Okay, right.
NICK:
Punkin, we made it.
-PUNKIN: Oh, God.
-BECKYLEE: Ready?
[groans]
Oh, my God.
MANU:
Now, on the other side
of the lake,
the group can begin
their upward trek,
but there may be
more than cold temperatures
and a vertical climb
that bring them
to the edge.
[Jeannie shivers]
THERRON:
Ooh, it's so cold.
JEANNIE:
We are high up.
[pants]
There's a note.
"The path
to the summit continues
on the other side
of the steep chasm."
-AMY: We have to go
over there.
-JEANNIE: Oh, my God.
THERRON:
They want me to die.
BECKYLEE:
"Step off the mountain's edge
"and use the gravity line
to cross,
"but be warned, each fall
will cost precious time
and have consequences
at the next vote."
Oh, my God.
Ugh.
"So don't let go."
PUNKIN:
Okay.
"Consequences at the next vote."
-What does that mean?
-You can't fall.
-So you can't fall.
-Don't fall.
-JEANNIE: And we just get
one try.
-PUNKIN: You get one shot.
AMY:
So don't let go, Ma.
-JEANNIE: Oh, my God.
-NICK: Let's do it.
DENNIS:
This journey has truly made me
develop a new fear of heights.
When you look down
and you see that decline,
it's just a drop.
NICK:
This is, like,
the highest one yet.
JEANNIE:
Yeah, I think so. Yes.
PUNKIN:
That wind is no joke.
DUSTY:
It's gonna be windy, for sure.
THERRON:
I'm so mentally drained
with the heights.
It's, like,
we walk, we do heights,
we walk, we do heights,
we walk, we do heights.
It is just taxing on my brain.
I'm just, like,
physically upset.
Like, I just,
my blood is just boiling,
and at this point, I'm just,
I honestly wish I was-- been
the person voted out yesterday.

[shivers]
I'm, like, mentally
at the end of my rope.
[wind whistling]

I just think, mentally,
I'm declining,
and it's really hard, dude.
-Yeah.
-I think that even my
-It has been a lot.
-Even my tears
and my frustration
aren't expressing
how truly afraid I am.
Like, every time we do these,
I really think I'm gonna die,
and I get that I've powered
through and have done it.
I totally understand that,
-but it's, like
-How much more?
How, how many, how many times
can my brain go through
this up and down wave?
-Yeah.
-It makes me feel like,
"Why can't I overcome this?"
I don't think
the more you do it,
the less you're afraid of it.
I don't think
that's how that works.
I think overcoming it
is knowing the fear
and still doing it
and accomplishing it.
I mean, of course,
I don't want you to quit.
-Mm-hmm.
-I want you to get through
and it has nothing to do
with the money.
I just really want to see this
through with you,
-but
-Mm-hmm.
it's okay
to have your moment.
Take that and get through
with this challenge.
Yeah.
I feel a lot of authenticity,
and I feel a lot of love
from Punkin.
Honestly, I think she's overall
one of the best people
on the mountain.
-Okay.
-You got it.
-Thank you.
-You're welcome.
-Thank you, Punkin.
-Yeah, of course.

JEANNIE:
Hey, Nick,
what do you think about this,
uh, obstacle?
NICK:
This is definitely
the highest one so far.
JEANNIE:
It's higher, it's steeper.
[shivering]:
Oh, God.
-DENNIS: Just don't look down.
-[Jeannie sighs]
Ugh, I don't even
want to look there. Please.
I don't even know
where the bottom is.
-[bird screeches]
-BECKYLEE: Oh! Wow.
PUNKIN:
Oh, my God!
JEANNIE:
Actually, a bird flew
right over our heads,
that's how high we are.
Like, we're just, like,
we're with the birds,
way up in the mountains.
[chuckles]
[wind whistling]
DUSTY:
We basically have a note
at the very beginning
of this obstacle saying,
"Pick your order. Choose wisely.
"Do not let go,
because if anyone drops,
there is gonna be some
sort of downside to that."
So we don't know what it is,
but the mountain's keeper
effectively warned us,
"If anyone falls, that is
gonna be to your detriment."
We don't know if that means,
if three people fall,
we have to vote
three people off?
We have no clue.
NICK:
I see this rope,
not very long,
and there's a little knot
at the bottom of it.
This is all upper body strength,
and we're gonna have to hold on
all the way across
these two mountains,
and the mountain keeper told us,
"You have one shot at this."
This is definitely
gonna probably be
one of the hardest ones
we've had so far.
[whirring]
MANU:
Given that the group is
inching their way
closer to the summit
DUSTY:
Yeah, Nick.
MANU:
the mountain's keeper isn't
going to be leaving them
alone anytime soon.
She wants to make sure
they're not forgetting
that she's got
consequences waiting
should any of them fall.
Is that the keeper?
What does she want?
DENNIS:
I think the mountain's keeper
wants us to be afraid.
If we fall off this obstacle,
we will face the consequences.
JEANNIE:
You got this, Nick!
DENNNIS:
I am worried
about the consequences
because I'm worried for myself
and my alliance members
with Therron, Nick,
Beckylee and Jeannie,
and I need all the people
that I work closely with
to make it across.
It's all grip.
-[women whooping]
-[groans]
PUNKIN:
Yes!
[whoops]
-[whoops]
-Good job, Nick!
NICK:
Now get me up this thing.
This is something else.
This is wild.
It's a lot
of upper body strength.
We were kayaking.
Everybody's
upper body's hurting.
Super cold last night.
Everyone's feeling a little
dragging today.
It's not gonna be easy
for everybody to make it.
I'm a little worried about Amy.
-BECKYLEE: One down.
Seven to go.
-One down, seven to go.
PUNKIN:
Dennis, you want to go second?
-You guys fine with that?
-PUNKIN: Yeah.
-BECKYLEE: Yeah.
Go ahead, Dennis.
You got it.
Good luck, Dennis.
-Hold on tight.
-Thank you.
DUSTY: I just don't want
some random surprise to happen
where he somehow has a say
in something.
-PUNKIN: Exactly,
that's where I'm at.
-DUSTY: So that's why I think
you got to get rid of the cancer
when you first find it.
Yeah.
Yeah.
My head has been the same
since probably day
day point-nine
that I think Dennis
should go home.
I just don't think Dennis has
the group in mind.
I think he's a little bit fake.
Every conversation
I have with him is
kind of fake buddy-buddy,
calling me "bro" a lot.
Dusty!
Bro. I was knee-deep, bro.
Bro. Bro.
I'm, like, "Bro, you got
some pythons on your arms."
[laughing]
The longer we keep Dennis,
the more we risk some sort of
random surprise where he gets
a lot of say in something.
They both have
negatives to them.
Dennis is not loyal
and nobody's trusted him
-for a couple of days now.
-Since the beginning of
-Yeah.
-Since day two.
-Yeah.
-But Jeannie is a wild card,
and if somebody influences her
at the last second,
she may just go
with whatever she hears.
-You just never know
what she's gonna do.
-Yeah.
JEANNIE:
I think I've been a follower
since I started this.
I enjoy listening to people
and I enjoy watching people.
I really sometimes don't know
what my plan is.
There's a lot more
20- and 30-year-olds,
and they have a lot in common,
and I think they're actually
better at this game than me.
-Those are the two
that aren't really working.
-DUSTY: Mm-hmm.
NICK:
When you start
jump!
NICK:
We've been through ten hard days
of very little sleep,
not much food.
We don't have
a ton of energy right now,
and this is going to take
every ounce of strength
that Dennis has left
to get to the other side.
[exhales loudly]
NICK: Dennis's name has been
floating around camp
for days now.
This is for all the marbles.
It's the mountain's keeper!
Oh, shoo!
"You were warned about falling.
"You let go of the rope, and now
you may let go of your money
and leave the mountain."
NICK:
Come on.
[wind whistling]

AMY:
Dennis!
[whooping]
-PUNKIN: Good job!
-AMY: Good job, Dennis!
You got it.
You got it.
-Nice job, nice job.
-Oh, wow!
-[whooping] That was fun!
-Nice job.
DENNIS:
[whoops] Oh!
That was so much fun.
That was the best obstacle yet.
That adrenaline
from the first three seconds
was like none other.
I literally Tarzan-swinged that,
and I was just, like,
"Wow. This is exhilarating."
I didn't think that was
gonna hold me, man.
NICK:
Yeah, I know.
Who's-Who's next?
-Uh, Becky.
-Beckylee?
JEANNIE:
It's so frigging high up.
-It's crazy, this wind.
-Yeah.
Oh, my God. It is so cold.
Oof.
[sighs]
BECKYLEE: I feel like I'm a
pretty confident person usually,
but it's the pressure
from the mountain's keeper
and the note we got that kind
of adds another layer,
like, if you fall,
you don't know
what we're gonna face tonight
at the checkpoint.
Let's go, Beckylee.
NICK:
You got it, Becky!
Hold on, you're almost there.
You're almost there.
-Nice job, Becks. Nice job.
-[whoops]
-[Nick laughs]
-[panting]
I feel like that took
the breath out of me.
Good job, Becks!
They want Dennis tonight.
-Who's they?
-BECKYLEE: Everybody over there.
Getting rid of Dennis is not
the best thing for my game.
Dennis' name has been
floating around for a while.
No one really trusts Dennis,
but I have to start
now convincing people
that Amy needs
to go before Dennis.
I think people are just,
like, so annoyed with him
that they're just, like
I know. I know he's rubbing
Punkin the wrong way.
Yeah.
I just feel like, at some point,
we can't stick our head
out too far for him
'cause he's been on the outs
for so many days now,
you know what I mean?
Who's after Dennis
if we cut Dennis now?
I think Jeannie.
I mean, I'm not tied to that.
I think that's where
it gets interesting.
I think people are concerned
that Jeannie
is so much of a wild card
that she could be influenced,
like, last second, and then she
would just make a crazy move.
But Amy's dangerous, too.
That's where I'm at, I think.
-That's where you're headed?
-I think so.
You want to go now?
-No, no, no, no. I think--
-Dusty could go now.
-Dusty can go.
-Okay.
If you want to get it
over with, I don't care.
I'm afraid of a lot of things,
but this is my fear.
DUSTY:
Pace is a big concern
for the mountain's keeper,
and a big concern
for those of us
who want to get
up to the summit.
So right now,
we just need to speed up
and toughen up a little bit.
-I'll go now.
-Okay.
-Okay.
-See, that was easy.
I'll go last.
Are you sure? I don't mind
going last, either.
I'll go last. We said it.
If I say it one more time
-All right. All right.
Then I'll go before you.
-Okay.
-Yeah.
-I'm probably gonna cry,
but I'll be okay.
-Jeannie, we got this.
-I know.
-15 seconds.
-Yeah, 15 seconds.
-15 seconds.
-15 seconds. That's all.
-I'm telling you, girl.
I'm right there with you.
-I know. I know.
15 seconds.
15 seconds. 15 seconds max.
15 seconds, 15 seconds,
15 seconds max.♪
THERRON:
This is the hardest thing
I've ever done,
but not the hardest thing
I've ever been through.
-I love all y'all.
-Hey!
-We love you, too.
-Thank you for lifting me up.
-15 seconds.
-You got it.
-You got this.
-15 seconds. 15 seconds.
When I was really young,
um, both of my parents
were incarcerated.
So, I was raised by my grandma.
She took care of me even
when my parents were unable to,
and made me realize that
I had to be my own role model.
Okay, Therron.
I think what makes
someone strong
has not necessarily anything
to do with strength.
[exhales]
It doesn't matter
how bad things are.
I'm going to be able
to tell myself
what I need to do
to get through.
15 seconds.

-JEANNIE: You got it, Therron!
-[grunts]
-Come on, Therron!
-I'm so scared.
JEANNIE:
15 seconds!
[contestants cheering]
Hold on! Hold on! Hold on!
NICK: Come on, baby! Come on!
[cheering and whooping]
[shaky breaths] Oh, my God.
-Yeah, baby!
-Oh, my gosh.
Yeah! [laughs]
Oh, my God. Oh, my God.
I thought I was gonna let go!
Damn!
-This [bleep] is hard.
-[laughter]
I knew you had it.
You just had to get
out of your head.
It's taken a toll on my mind.
I can't lie.
-I'm so sorry.
-BECKYLEE: You did No!
I'm a very positive person,
but this is challenging me
in ways I just
DENNIS:
T, we were all worried
about you before this.
-I never thought I could
-NICK: Hey, you're good.
We were all worried
about you behind us.
THERRON:
I'm so sorry.
NICK:
Hey, great job.
Don't say you're sorry, you get
up and you do it every time.
You killed it, dude.
Every single time,
you finish it.
I know what you're thinking.
Yes, the crybaby
made it across again.
Ugh, the tears, they help.
They motivate.
Um, I
I don't know how to get
out of my own head.
I do not experience this
in my normal life.
I'm really happy I did it.
I can tell you 20 seconds before
I did it, I wanted to quit.
And I know it's only
gonna get harder.
Get over here, T.
Dude, you know,
you know I, like, I was
genuinely worried when you
just didn't say anything.
I was, like, I've never
seen you like this before.
It's these last few challenges
really made me want to quit.
It's not-- My brain just
keeps telling me
that this is not worth
the mental strain.
You've been there for me,
I've been--
I'm gonna be here
for you always.
-I'll be there. I'm-I'm here.
-THERRON: Yeah.
Therron and Dennis,
-you know, it seems fake.
-Thank you for it.
BECKYLEE:
It just feels phony.
We need to talk later
about game,
-'cause we need
to figure something out.
-Yeah.
'Cause I don't think
I want you to go home. [laughs]
DENNIS:
At this point,
it doesn't matter
if I'm the target,
because I have friends
that'll back me up,
and I have the confidence to
get through all these obstacles.
A lot of my enemies,
they tried their best
to get me out,
and it's so hard
to kill a cockroach.
Bring it on. Please.
[wind whistling]

THERRON:
Right now, over there,
I think they're gonna try to
put it between you and Jeannie,
and I don't want
to vote for Jeannie.
What it really comes down
to me is who do I want
to be next to that I would
feel comfortable
splitting the money with
or at least
having a better shot
at getting the money with.
I feel like Amy made
a really good relationship
with everybody we sent home.
That's why I got so mad at Amy.
I think if you told Becky,
"Hey, I just,
I-I really want Amy. She's"
Tell Becky she's too strong
of a player.
You don't have
to lead the charge,
-but we do need the fifth.
-Yeah.
THERRON:
Tonight's gonna be messy.
We might be at
a four-four stalemate.
It will be Punkin, Dusty,
Beckylee and Amy
versus Dennis, me,
Jeannie and Nick.
Yeah. So, the people
I wouldn't talk to right now
about this plan,
if we are doing this plan,
is Punkin and Dusty.
Not Punkin and Dusty
'cause I d--
-I think they're
hardcore Team Amy.
-Yeah. I think so, too.
Jeannie, so Jeannie,
this morning,
I didn't tell-- I told Nick
this when we woke up,
but Jeannie, this morning, came
up to me, and I woke up to Amy
trying to get Jeannie
to turn on me this morning.
There are some
individuals here that
I would want to see
cross that finish line,
but then there are
some individuals here that
have said my name,
and I've overheard them
say my name this morning,
and I want them to fall,
and I really,
really would enjoy that.
If we get Amy out,
we technically are the majority.
-Correct.
-We have the numbers
after that.
-No, it's a steamroll.
-It's a done deal.
It's a done--
It's a steal after that.
You got this, Dusty.
There he goes.
Whoo-hoo!
[whoops]
You hit that booty
on that dirt, baby!
Quick, quick wipe
on the hill. Nice job.
-Good job, Dusty!
-How many seconds?
-Oh, my God.
DUSTY:
You have to basically
go full speed
and go aggressive,
aggressive, aggressive,
and then you kind of just give
up everywhere else in your body
except for one spot on your body
where you're trying
to squeeze on for dear life.
-Who's after you?
-DUSTY: Punkin.
PUNKIN:
It's so beautiful here,
and I don't even know
where we are in New Zealand,
or if I could ever even
get to this place again.
It's just so breathtaking,
and I'm truly, truly am blessed
to just be here
and having this experience.
Our kids are gonna
look back at this and say,
"I can't believe
my mother did this."
They wouldn't even do this
and we're doing it.
I don't think my kids would do
half the crap
I've done out here.
I know, me too. [laughs]
And it makes me excited to know
they're gonna see that.
Yeah. Yeah.
I honestly, um,
I'm glad we made it together,
-at least this far, right?
-Yeah.
Even if one of us
gets voted off.
We got to have some, some kind
of mom up that summit, right?
-Yeah, one of us, right?
-One of us has to go up there.
Being in the real world,
in the military,
we have to do
a lot of hard things,
and so that has prepared me
mentally for this game.
Whoo!
-DUSTY: Piece of cake!
-[laughter]
Piece of cake!
[grunts]
Whoo! Good job, Punkin!
Punkin!
She wasn't struggling at all.
-DUSTY: You looked
serious on that.
-NICK: Yeah.
PUNKIN:
You're jumping off the edge
of a cliff. Like, who does that?
Nobody runs
and jumps off a cliff.
Like, that's not fun. [laughs]
I still haven't told people
I'm in the military,
which I think has been
the best move for me
just because I don't want people
to have preconceptions
of what I can do or who I am.
I can't believe I'm doing this.
-Yes, you're doing it.
You're doing it.
-Okay.
JEANNIE:
Maybe I'll open my
eyes up for this one.
I'm proud of you for going last.
That's tough.
Oh, yeah. Well,
you're second to last.
So I'm second proud of you.
I'm scared that
I'm not gonna be able
to hold my body weight.
I'm scared that if I go,
I'm gonna stop halfway.
Ugh.
-You got it.
-I know. I know.
It's 15. You can do
anything for 15 seconds.
-15 seconds, I know.
-15 seconds.
You just gotta hold yourself up.
That's it.
-That's right.
-Just hold yourself
JEANNIE:
I'm scared of the heights.
It's just so far away.
All right, girl.
I'll see you
on the other side, okay?
-You got this.
-You got this. Okay.
Holler for me
when I come over, okay?
You got this. I will.
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
My heart is racing
a mile a minute.
This is so much scarier
than I thought it was gonna be.
Oh, man.
I don't know if I can do this.
You got it, Jeannie!
Just give me I just
Just give me a second, please.
I'm really scared.
Like, I just don't know if
I'm freaking out, guys!
THERRON:
You got it, Jeannie!
Hold on tight, girl!
I don't know. I don't know.
-She's scared.
-Can she do it?
PUNKIN:
The longer you wait,
the more you're gonna
get in your head.
I don't know if I can
hold onto this rope.
15 seconds, Jeannie. 15 seconds.
I don't know if I can hold up
135 pounds on my arms.
We're doing this once.
I don't get a second chance
with this obstacle.
You got it, Jeannie.
Yes, you can!
I don't know. I don't know.
Just go!
Walk off the cliff!
[grunts]
-Oh!
-[groans]
JEANNIE:
This is it.
I'm out.
I couldn't hold on to that rope.
No!
[bleep]
-I couldn't hold on to the rope.
-NICK: That's okay.
-I understand.
-I didn't have enough strength.
I didn't even get halfway.
I didn't want to just
get on and go.
I'm older. I'm 56.
I don't work out.
I couldn't hold on.
I just sucked.
NICK:
I am devastated
because obviously,
Jeannie did not make it across,
and the last thing that I want
to happen tonight
is for Jeannie to go home.
Jeannie and I have been
rock-solid since day one.
I will be absolutely devastated
if she has to go.
She stood there too long
doubting herself.
You just have to go.
JEANNIE:
I'm so upset because I know
there's gonna be consequences.
I don't know if I'm out
or not of this game.
I That's why I was nervous
-'cause I knew
I couldn't hold on.
-Hey, hey, hey.
No matter, no matter what
happens tonight
-Yeah.
-with the consequence,
you know I have your back.
-Yeah, I know.
-Okay? No matter what happens.
-Don't let it change you.
-JEANNIE: It's okay.
-Don't let it change you.
-I had a good time.
No, shut up! Don't
Don't talk
like you're out, girl.
You're fine, okay?
You're fine. Seriously.
We have your back here.
I have your back.
DENNIS:
On day one, I let Jeannie in,
and I trust Jeannie
with all my heart.
She is an Italian mom.
I'm a Asian Guido.
We kinda just-- We're kinda
like two meatballs together.
She knows that I would
never turn on her
and she would never turn on me,
so it's actually quite comical
that these people out here
are that dumb enough
if they think that Jeannie
would ever turn on me.
The rules didn't say
that you get eliminated.
It just said a consequence,
so whatever consequences,
-we'll-we'll face it together.
-Yeah. Yeah.
-Okay?
-Yeah, yeah.
I fall today,
it could have consequences,
not just for me
but for the team as well.
All right, Amy.
PUNKIN:
All right, Amy!
My main concern right now
is with Amy.
Based on past performances
Damn!
-Oh, my God!
-Oh, my God!
[grunts]
-Yeah! Hold on!
-Hold on!
Hold on!
[indistinct shouting]
Oh!
[all groaning]
Damn.
PUNKIN:
Damn, Amy! You were right here.
I was literally
just a few feet away.
THERRON:
The rope ripped.
Damn, you were so close!
[groans]
[wind whistling]
I thought she had it for sure.
Oh, my God, my hands!
From the minute
I fell off the damn cliff.
THERRON:
The rope ripped.
[groans]
Thanks, Nick.
-Yep.
-[Amy exhales]
-Yeah.
-Damn it!
-Dude, you were
literally, like--
-I was so close.
-NICK: You were there.
-THERRON: You were so close,
Amy!
-I didn't complete
the challenge.
-So what are we doing now?
Do you see the, the,
the threads on that rope?
How did that rope rip like that?
AMY:
Damn it!
Could I get a replay?
I thought you had it.
I was, like, "Re-do."
Amy, you were probably
15 feet away, ten feet away.
I just think
the rope slowly started
kind of threading away
at the bottom,
which I'd be pretty upset
and I'd want a re-do.
[groans]
Had the rope not given,
I could've held on.
It, it would've been
one more second.
Oh, damn it.
[sighs] I'd rather fail
or not get that close.
That's annoying.
I lost my grip, and,
uh, the mountain's keeper
did hint there would be
some sort of punishment.
I'm thinking that today,
probably gonna be the day
that I go home.
I was a little higher than
I wanted to be, but I felt good,
but then I didn't know
why I just, I just lost my grip.
Hey, guys. So, Amy?
-What?
-You have a chance
to go again.
The fault was not you.
-It was with the rope.
-[whoops]
-I told you, the rope.
-I'll go again.
-You'll go again?
-Yeah, I'll go again.
-Yeah!
Amy falls, but she gets a re-do,
so I'm livid about that.
-Love that, Ames.
-PUNKIN: Yay!
-JEANNIE: Amy, good luck, girl.
-AMY: Thanks, babe.
BECKYLEE:
Good luck, Amy.
DUSTY:
She gets a second chance
to do it,
but even when she jumped
on the opportunity,
I could tell she's,
she's still pretty hesitant.
This is gonna be
ten times harder,
because she's tired
from the first time.
She's lucky to go again.
I just really hope
that she can
take advantage of it.
AMY: My kids are watching this,
and we need this money.
I have fought
through every obstacle.
I have fought through injury.
I have fought through every fear
I've ever had coming out here.
I'm not going down
without a fight.
[bird calls]
[bleep]
Hold on tight, Amy!
Hold on tight!
PUNKIN:
You got to hold on!
-She's holding!
-THERRON: Almost there!
PUNKIN:
You're almost there! Hold on!
Hold on! Hold on!
Hold on! Hold on!
[cheering, clamoring]
Oh, my God!
-Yeah!
-You got it!
I made it!
-[cheering]
-DUSTY: You good? You good?
PUNKIN:
You made it!
NICK:
Good job, Ames.
JEANNIE:
Good job!
I just, like,
went over a "cha-sim."
I didn't know
what that was, a chasm?
I didn't know
what a friggin' chasm is.
That
deep, steep crazy thing.
Who is this person?
I don't even know who she is.
I'm so proud of myself,
I'm so proud of myself.
-JEANNIE: You did it!
-PUNKIN: Good job, Amy!
NICK:
Good job, Ames!
JEANNIE:
You did it, man. You did it.
Good job. Good job.
-I'm so proud of you.
-Thank you.
I hope that my team sees
my worth.
[voice breaking]:
Because I know I deserve
a spot at the summit.
JEANNIE: I feel like, uh,
I messed up today.
Aw, I'm sorry. [sniffles]
Because everybody did it but me.
[groans]
And I thought I was,
like, so strong.
Oh, God.
Come on.
MANU: The group has made it
to the other side of the chasm,
but they were warned that
there would be consequences
if any of them fell.
Well, the mountain's keeper
is about to deliver the news.
[groans]
-THERRON: My legs are not warm.
-DUSTY: I'm, I'm--
yeah, I'm not fresh.
Look at that view, huh?
-JEANNIE: Oh, my
-THERRON: Stream.
PUNKIN: There's a little
stream coming up, Amy.
-THERRON: Watch your step.
It's a stream.
-JEANNIE: Yeah, yeah.
PUNKIN:
Can I get a hand?
-Yeah, come on.
-Thank you. [laughs]
-Sorry.
-One more for your old friend?
You're thinking I'm trying
to leave y'all behind.
[exhales]
-Is it hard to breathe?
-BECKYLEE: Yes.
THERRON: The higher we get on
this mountain, the harder it is
to feel comfortable.
The temperature's changing,
the terrain's changing.
And our bodies are
constantly having to adjust.
It's been nearly two weeks,
and I feel like
the summit is viewable,
but not within reach.
Anything can happen,
any twist can happen.
And the mountain's keeper is
always watching.
[helicopter whirring]
-DENNIS: Guys
-It's the mountain's keeper!
-DENNIS: What on earth?
-JEANNIE: Oh!
[indistinct shouting]
[whoops]
Go get my hat!
Thank you!
Let's all open it.
We can all open it.
Should we all-- Yeah.
Come on, Amy.
Come on.
Get it.
-Oh, no.
-BECKYLEE: Breathe.
"You were warned about falling.
"It holds up the group,
and you won't have
"that luxury
while on the glacier.
"Therefore, the person who fell
"is one of those
nominated tonight,
"and they lose their vote.
"The group can nominate
an additional
"two people to be at risk.
"You let go of the rope, and now
"you may let go of your money
and leave the mountain.
The mountain's keeper."
JEANNIE:
So the mountain keeper said
I'm gonna be one of the people
up for elimination tonight.
And I lose the power
to also vote myself.
I'm basically a sitting duck.
[wind whistling]
AMY:
I was worried it would be
-an individual punishment.
-JEANNIE: Yeah.
AMY:
Jeannie, I'm sorry.
You didn't fall because
you didn't try your best.
-So
-JEANNIE: Yeah, I know. I did.
-I did it.
-You tried your best.
I fell, but at least
-I tried it and failed
-AMY: Yeah.
instead of just quitting and
-not trying at all.
-AMY: Exactly.
-Exactly.
-JEANNIE: You know?
-Yeah.
DENNIS:
The mountain keeper comes along
and drops a yellow duffle bag,
and it basically states
that whoever fell
is automatically
up for elimination
and they lose their vote.
And, man, that killed me.
I might be going home
because I lost a huge vote,
which was Jeannie,
who is never gonna vote
for me to leave this mountain.
-Don't cry, girl. It's okay.
-[laughs]
Yeah.
Well, the sun's going down.
-Got to make it to camp.
-Yeah. Let's get to camp.
Yeah.
Let's get to camp, guys.
Come on.
I'm very scared
I could be going home.
I came so far to be
on the top eight.
I really roughed it out outside.
Every challenge,
I was so scared, but I did it,
because the summit was my goal.
I just hate to go home
just because
I couldn't lift myself up.
-PUNKIN: This is all uphill.
-BECKYLEE: Oh, my gosh.
-A little different elevation.
-JEANNIE: Oh, yeah?
-Yep.
-Another big hole here,
uh, Punkin. Okay.
-Okay.
-DENNIS: Well, this sucks.
-PUNKIN: Come on, Amy.
-I'm coming, Mama.
Sorry.
-[grunts]
-You okay?
Yep.
[grunts]
-NICK: Hold up real quick.
-THERRON: Amy fell.
AMY: Honestly, you're doing
everything you can to breathe
at this altitude, but, um, it's
the hardest for me right now.
I've got 15 to 20 years on
some of these younger people.
I don't make
any excuse for that.
That's just fact.
I need to keep pushing through.
-She's not hurt, is she?
-PUNKIN: You need help?
AMY:
No, I'm good. I need 30 seconds.
The sun's going down.
Keeping pace is imperative
to making checkpoint,
which is a lot more comfortable
after a terrible night
last night in the bivvy.
NICK:
Take your time.
I feel like we've gotten
higher and higher and
the obstacles keep
getting harder and harder,
and the votes are definitely
getting tougher every week.
I mean, listen, this is a game.
Yeah, Amy pulled through
the obstacle today, but
at the end of the day, I don't
know how many can make it up
to the top of that summit,
and I'm gonna
make sure I'm one of 'em.
So people are gonna have
to go and
Amy's time is coming.
It's about to get really fun
down the back stretch.
DENNIS:
What I'd do for a hot shower.
PUNKIN:
Right. I feel you.
My legs are having a hard time.
-PUNKIN: We made it.
-Whew. Checkpoint, baby!
-JEANNIE: Yeah!
-[Therron whoops]
THERRON:
We're gonna get real warm
together with this tent.
-PUNKIN: Okay.
-THERRON: Oh, my gosh.
My thighs hurt.
BECKYLEE:
Yay!
PUNKIN:
Bread and butter?
BECKYLEE:
Bread and butter
and beer tonight.
Wait,
there's something on there.
-[all exclaim]
-JEANNIE: Stew!
-PUNKIN: Ooh, is that stew?
Ooh, okay!
THERRON:
It's cold. It's soup time, baby.
-It's gonna keep us warm.
-DUSTY: I think we earned that.
-JEANNIE: Yeah.
-Nobody sing loud.
There might be an avalanche.
Be quiet.
[cheering, clamoring]
BECKYLEE:
Well done.
Oh, God.
The team's getting
smaller and smaller.
There's eight of us right now,
and I need to think
what I'm gonna tell my team
why I deserve a second chance
and
not to please vote me off.
Today's been some pretty
amazing views, right?
Yeah. What a day.
Well, guys. Welcome
to the beginning of the end.
Look behind me.
You'll see
evidence of avalanches.
[wind whistling]
As you push your way up here,
if something happens,
it happens fast.
Your reaction time's
gonna have to be much faster
than what you've been doing
so far.
This mountain is gonna
get very, very tough.
Are you ready for that?
Yes, sir. I think so.
How did you find
the kayak paddle?
Hard. [laughs]
They don't have
instructions on them,
so that was really hard
to figure out.
Yeah, we were a little
navigationally-challenged
early on, but it was
kind of fun growing pains.
-It was beautiful.
-JEANNIE: Mm-hmm.
Okay, so talking about
this last obstacle,
so you guys got a warning
from the mountain's keeper.
-PUNKIN: Yeah.
-JEANNIE: Mm-hmm.
-Yep.
What was that warning?
Consequences.
-Don't fall.
-Don't fall.
-Don't fall.
-Don't let go.
Huh. Did anybody fall?
-JEANNIE: Mm-hmm.
-OTHERS: Yes.
I did. I fell.
How are you feeling about that?
Horrible, horrible
because I had to screw up
in the one obstacle that
I don't get a second chance?

So, why don't we
cut to the chase?
Jeannie's nominated,
and you can nominate
two more people.
I'm gonna give you guys
a few minutes.
Have a think about this.

[wind whistling]
BECKYLEE:
How you feeling?
JEANNIE:
Yeah, you know,
I'm gonna plead my case,
and that's all I can do.
-You know?
-Mm-hmm.
So I was running numbers
and thinking about scenarios
the entire hike,
and there are
three potential names.
Even though
Dennis is loyal to me,
he's sketchy 'cause
his back is against the wall.
He could pull something crazy
if given the opportunity.
Then I was thinking Amy.
Dusty and Punkin really like Amy
and are really
anti Amy going home.
If I sent Amy home tonight,
they are gonna feel
like I am un-loyal,
and Mr. Morals--
Dusty-- is gonna be pissed.
AMY:
[sighs] It's a little crazy.
And the third is Jeannie.
Jeannie's just a wild card.
She's somebody that,
like, can be influenced,
so that's a dangerous player
'cause you can't really predict
what they're thinking.
So to think several steps ahead,
where does this chess piece
need to move,
and do I need to keep this pawn
for one more vote
before I kick it off the board?
God, it's so cold.
It's also gonna be harder
to nominate Jeannie
when the time comes.
Like, oh, well, she's kind of,
like, automatically nominated.
-Right.
-[laughs]
It does r-- get rid of that
little side of it right there.
-Exactly. Right.
-That is true.
PUNKIN:
I think Jeannie needs to be
the next vote,
and I hate to say that because
I really do love Jeannie,
but she's just such a wild card.
-Ah, man.
-It's gonna be harder
to nominate Jeannie
when the time comes,
and now she's kind of like
just automatically
already thrown up there.
Oh, oh, oh, oh.
She's easily persuaded.
You just never know
where her mind is at
or what she's gonna do.
You just can't have that, right?
Especially when you're so close
to the top.

The thing is just, like, such
an awkward moment in the game
where there's only
so many of us.
-I know.
-It's, like
-It's brutal.
-DENNIS: Yeah.
I know one of y'all are
gonna nominate me. I get it.
I'm calling it right now.
People that are gonna vote
for me to leave,
it's gonna be Dusty and Amy.
-The mountain is unkind, so
-JEANNIE: Yeah.
DENNIS:
we got to do
what we got to do, right?
Therron has my back.
I know Becky has my back.
Jeannie obviously has my back,
but I think Amy
wholeheartedly might be
the most dangerous player here
'cause she is
very genuinely kind,
and again, kindness
and being the most liked
in this game is also
the most dangerous.
So I think Amy is my next victim
for that reason.
Who are you voting for?
-I'm nominating Amy. Yeah, duh.
-Amy?
'Cause she's-she's com--
She's clearly came for me,
-so it only makes sense.
-Mm-hmm.
-AMY: Dennis
-Yeah.
he's gonna say my name,
and that's okay.
I think it's safe, too.
Could we keep him longer? 100%.
-I just
-Probably, yeah
I don't want to risk
everybody here.
Tonight's vote is
I'm-I'm thinking
we're-we're rolling with Dennis.
We've been trying
to get him out.
This might be the time.
But we just got to make sure
that we don't try
to split the vote
'cause we don't want him
to go home anonymously
-Oh.
-and then the vote gets split
and then, like,
oh, we [bleep] that up.
-Right.
-Right.
I mean, it's anybody's guess
sometimes how these votes go.
When I'm sure it's gonna be
one way, it could be another,
so if we're not going
with Dennis tonight,
does that mean
I'm gonna go home next?
I honestly have
I don't have any idea.
But I also think that
if I'm still here
making checkpoints
and hanging with everybody
during the tough stuff,
I 100% believe I have a chance.
I mean, I-I might have
to go home one day,
but I don't want
to go home today.
I don't think that's happening.
-We'll see.
-Guess we'll find out.

Well, here's the thing.
Here's where my numbers were.
-Okay.
-What if we do Amy next?
Amy's playing a very smart game.
She doesn't really have
any enemies.
She's kind of liked by everybody
and plays that mom role
very well,
but I think some people
actually want her out
at this checkpoint.
Dennis is gonna nominate Amy,
so it's gonna be a rocky,
a rocky night.
NICK:
If I would've known that's
where your mind's at,
then get 'em out of here.
-I don't care. Yeah, yeah.
-Okay, all right.
I'm good. Yeah.
I got to be honest with you.
Amy's coming next.
That's just
the way the game's gonna go.

[wind whistling]

[sighs] Okay, everyone.
Grab a seat.
So, there's eight of you left.
Tomorrow, there'll be seven.
-Mm-hmm.
-MANU: Jeannie.
-JEANNIE: Yes.
-You're automatically nominated
-to be voted off this mountain.
-Yes.
MANU:
Is she the only one?

I'm nominating Dennis.
Why are you nominating Dennis?
AMY:
He's done really well
with his back against the wall
the entire time,
but I just have
closer relationships
with other people who have been
in leader positions
and have proven
themselves to be,
in my eyes, more trustworthy.
Any other names up for vote?
Dennis, it's your turn.
I would like to nominate Amy.
Why?
You know, she threw my name out
last checkpoint,
and obviously she's throwing
my name for nomination today.
Um, also this morning,
she was talking about me
to someone else,
so obviously,
she's closer to other people.
Well,
what a wicked web we weave.
[laughs]
Okay, three names.
I'll give you a chance
to plead your case.
Amy?
I think that
I may not be strong in legs,
but I'm strong in heart,
and it doesn't just
take physical strength
to get up that mountain.
I have helped build
people's morale
when they were feeling down.
I've helped boost spirits,
and I hope that
you guys see my worth
at least through another day.
And, um, let's go get this thing
together.
Dennis?
You know, this, I believe,
is the fourth time
I'm in the hot seat,
and what I can say is that
I have never
changed my demeanor,
even if I've been in a hot seat
time after time,
and I never will.
This is the person who I am,
and I think
that speaks volumes about me.
Jeannie?
You know, Manu,
you said something that
really resonated in me.
You said,
"You want to pick somebody
"to go up the summit with you
that's brave,
that's honest
and that's strong."
But, today,
I didn't show my strength,
but I feel like if you just
give me a second chance,
and I am pretty strong. [laughs]
I would love to still be
part of this group.
The mountain hasn't
given me confidence.
You guys gave me,
give me confidence.

It's time
to steal someone's money
and vote that person
off the mountain.
Let's have a show of hands
for Jeannie.
Zero votes for Jeannie.
Let's see a show of hands
for Amy.
It's you and only you, Dennis.
Let's see a show of hands
for Dennis.
That's a total of six votes.
Your time on the mountain
has come to an end,
Dennis.
Thank you for allowing me
to be a part of
this beautiful journey,
and this is something
that will be a part of me
for the rest of my life, so
MANU:
Okay, go grab your bag,
bring the money back
for the rest of the group
and say your goodbyes.
DENNIS:
It doesn't feel great
my alliance members
turned on me,
'cause I thought
they had my back,
but I respect the blindside.
I wanted the game to get dirty.
I wanted to stay and
make it a little bit dirtier.
-[bleep] love you, guy.
-THERRON: Love you, too.
I tried. I tried.
No, you're good.
You're good. You're good.
The mountain has taught me
that it's okay
to be misunderstood.
-Love you, sis.
-Love you.
-I tried, buddy.
-Yeah, it's all good.
-Dennis.
-Hey, Jeannie [laughs]
And it's a sad moment
because the Korean Cockroach
has been eliminated.
He's been stomped before
he can spread his wings and fly.

MANU:
Well, guys,
all I can say is this:
this mountain has
a lot of obstacles,
a lot of weapons,
and tomorrow,
you're gonna face the glacier.
-Ooh.
-THERRON: Ooh.
[ice creaking]
MANU:
Rest up, guys.
You got four days left
before you reach the summit.
Remember who's got your back
and who's got
a knife at your back.
Okay, it's freezing.
Let's pass this money out, baby.
BECKYLEE: I think Dennis
probably would've been loyal
to me a little bit longer,
but I had used that card
too many times,
and I think
Dennis's pass expired.
Unfortunately, I could not put
my good name on it any longer.
I fought for him enough,
and he couldn't
recoup his reputation.
-PUNKIN: These some fat stacks.
-THERRON: Yeah.
Tonight was the first night
I heard my name
at nomination,
so I'm starting to think
I need to get a better plan,
a tighter plan,
because tonight was
a little nerve-racking,
but there's just something deep,
deep down.
I need to keep pushing through.

JEANNIE: [groans]
Here we go. Get to that bag!
"One person's climb
to the summit will end here."
-What?!
-Wow.
Oh, my God.
NICK:
We got to climb up and over.
PUNKIN:
This is insane.
We are supposed to get up
to the summit in three days.
-[grunts]
-AMY: Holy [bleep].
We're going in here?
We're not just on a happy
little family camping trip.
-AMY: We're going in?
-BECKYLEE: Oh, man.
PUNKIN:
I know it's scary,
but we got to move.
Alliances are going to become
more aggressive moving forward.
THERRON:
Y'all keep pushing!
