- [growls.]
- [Mort.]
I'm okay! - [laughs.]
[theme song playing.]

Whoa, oh, whoa, oh Y'all tell me who's the king? Whoa, oh, whoa, oh All hail King Julien! [Aye-aye yelling.]
- [farts.]
- Hey, it's spoiling my nostril hair! Well, Maurice, thanks to my ingenious "Adopt an Aye-aye" program, all of the displaced Aye-ayes now have homes in the kingdom.
- Isn't it great? - [Aye-aye yells, farts.]
[lemur 1.]
Why would you do that? We're people! [coughing.]
[lemur 1.]
We're people! Yep, and since that random band of mountain lemurs hasn't attacked anyone else lately, everything can go back to normal! Sanctuary! Sanctuary! [crying, babbling.]
- Hmm? - Hmm? [continues babbling.]
Huh? Hmm.
Okay, I'm having a little bit of trouble understanding you.
What happened? [crying, babbling.]
Yeah, that was like a bunch of noises and then something about, uh, baby corn? No, I think he said "gravy swarm.
" [giggles.]
- [grunts.]
- [groans.]
[shouts.]
No! - Uh Mm? - [crying, babbling.]
Yeah, I got nothing.
What the ambassador is trying to say is, "The mountain lemurs attacked our kingdom and we were forced to flee our home.
" - Don't cry, buddy.
- [muffled crying.]
Seriously, please stop crying, it's annoying! Now you and all the crocodiles can stay here in my kingdom.
- After all, the more the merrier, right? - [Aye-aye screams, farts.]
- What was that? - [clamoring.]
Eh - It's an acquired scent.
- [lemur groaning.]
Now, I know what you're thinking, Maurice.
- The mountain lemurs attacked the Aye-ayes - [exclaims.]
- and then they attacked the crocodiles.
- [exclaims.]
But that still doesn't mean - [sighs.]
- they'll attack anyone else.
Excuse me, sir, but the mountain lemurs attacked someone else.
- Uh.
- Ooh.
Those mountain lemurs are real big and scary-like! Those mountain lemurs are real big and scary-like! What are we gonna do? If the mountain lemurs are attacking all of Madagascar, it's only a matter of time before they get to our kingdom! - Maurice is right, Your Majesty.
- [whimpering.]
I propose that we fortify the kingdom.
We need to make it impenetrable - to outside forces.
- Hmm.
- Maurice! - [gasps.]
Gather the kingdom.
I have an announcement to make.
Okay, listen up, everybody.
It has come to my attention that the mountain lemurs might attack.
- [lemurs gasp.]
- And by "might," - I mean, "probably will.
" - [lemurs screaming.]
You know, and by "probably will," - I mean, "definitely will.
" - [lemurs crying, screaming.]
- I mean, [laughs.]
they are certain almost - [lemurs whimpering.]
to come in and just crush us to absolute oblivious pieces.
- But before you all panic Willie! - We're all gonna die! [all shrieking, screaming.]
- Snap! Maurice, - [Aye-aye farts.]
why didn't you tell me to say I have a plan first? - Guys! - [clamoring.]
- Guys! - [grunts.]
- [screams, groans.]
- [yells, farts.]
Uh, I have a plan! [machine whirring.]
[hammer knocking.]
Well, wall's done.
Know what that means? I don't know, King Julien, the last wall we built didn't Bup-bup! It means that everything can finally go back to normal.
[Koto.]
King Julien! - Huh? - Koto? - Koto? Where? - [Maurice screams.]
[excitedly.]
Hi, Koto! You came back! [chuckling.]
I mean Hi.
- I need to talk to you! - I need to talk to you too! He meant me.
Sheesh, what is up with you? Nothing! Nothing.
I am being totally normal.
Maurice, do I have anything in my teeth? Yes.
King Julien, let me in! Hurry! - Uh, King Julien, are you sure? [gasps.]
- [clangs.]
Yeah, come on, come on, come on in.
- Thank you.
- What's going on? - [grunts.]
Is someone following you? - Is it that random band of mountain lemurs? [scoffs.]
Don't worry, Koto, they can't get past our wall.
The design is ingenious.
See? There's only one way in or out and that's this door right here.
I see.
- [thuds.]
- [door creaks.]
Hey! Koto! That is a brand new wall, man! We literally just got done building it.
[shouting war cry.]
- What's he doing? - Get behind me, King Julien.
[howling.]
- Huh? - [rumbling.]
- [footsteps.]
- [all screams.]
[mountain lemurs grunting.]
Wait! Oh, you got to be kidding me.
It's your horde that's been attacking everyone? Koto! Why? Why are you doing this? Well, [sighs.]
long story, really.
When I became king of the mountain lemurs, we were very wealthy.
- Hmm.
Huh? - I immediately spent all of my kingdom's money and resources - on building up our military - [growls.]
until there was nothing left for food or education.
- Bah, who needs that stuff.
- Huh? Real trouble was, we didn't have a war.
I had to attack somebody, and one war led to the next, - and the next, and the next - [whimpering.]
and, here I am, taking over your kingdom.
But, I thought we were buds.
We fought a snake together, dude! Sorry, Julien.
But you did show me how beautiful and unprotected - your kingdom was, so - [all whimper.]
Yeah, big mistake! - [laughing.]
- [grunts angrily.]
Sorry.
But Benson's right.
You really left me no choice.
Please, don't fight back.
You can't win.
I'm saying this as a friend.
Hate to break it to you, friend, but we've got Clover.
Yeah, she's kinda like a superhero and-and she's never gonna let you Wait.
Where's Clover? Get your hands off of me! Okay, yeah, so you got Clover.
Big deal, that's one.
You know how many people we have in this kingdom? [stutters.]
Look around We got-We got Pancho, Horst, Ted.
They're tied up right now.
Uh pbht! Okay, yeah, maybe it doesn't look too good right now.
So? [laughter.]
I'll fight for you, King Julie [grunts.]
Ow.
- [swords clang.]
- [whimpers.]
Okay, Koto, listen.
You and your horde can take whatever you want, - as long as you don't hurt anybody.
- [crashing.]
- [lemur crying.]
- Anybody else.
No.
I will take whatever I want and your people will be my slaves.
- That's how conquests work.
- [laughs.]
I'm conquesting here, Julien.
You are getting that, right? King Julien, what do we do? Maurice, there comes a time [screams.]
Run! Everybody, run away! [all screaming in panic.]
[shrieking, farting.]
Capture them! Capture them all! - We're all gonna die, aren't we? - [sipping.]
Yep.
- [grunts.]
- [panting.]
- [growls.]
- [grunts.]
- Yay! - Pancho, go long! - [panting.]
- [screaming, groans.]
[screams in pain.]
[screaming.]
No, guys! You need to run away, not just in circles! [screams.]
You won't get away with this.
I admire your ferocious spirit, which is why I plan on making you my queen.
Never! [grunts.]
[grunts with effort.]
- [screaming.]
- [groaning.]
- [grunting.]
- [groaning.]
[growls angrily.]
Hee-yah [grunts.]
Babak.
Sage! Let me go! I've got to go and help King Julien.
[grunting.]
Sage! - [squawking.]
- [screams angrily.]
[grunting with effort.]
[Julien whimpering.]
[squawks.]
[gulps.]
- [swords clang.]
- [both gasp.]
[lemurs clamoring.]
Are we in a maze? No.
We are not in a maze.
[both crying.]
[exclaims, slurping.]
[grunting.]
[groans.]
[grunts, giggles.]
- [Mort.]
Hello! - Uh Uh, yoo-hoo, over here! Hey, sailor.
[giggles.]
What do you say you let me out? Then the two of us could go somewhere quiet, and talk.
[groans, retches.]
Mm.
[sighs.]
- [mumbling unintelligibly.]
- Don't you judge me, Todd.
I really thought Koto was my friend.
I warmed my booty by a fire he made.
Guess that meant nothing to him.
Let us out of here, Koto! - No.
- Pretty quick response right there.
Are you sure you don't want to think about that "no" for a second? - No.
- Yeah, see, you, you don't need to keep answering me right away.
Your stalling is useless, Julien, - and quite frankly, sad.
- [screams, grunts.]
You are were a king, and you should meet the end with dignity and accept the simple truth.
The line of Julien Kings is over.
Wait! Over? - Yes.
Over.
- [whimpering.]
[grunts.]
[both whimpering.]
This is one of those "things-look-bad- but-King-Julien-totally-has-a-plan" moments, right? - Uh-huh.
- Uh You're just saying that, so I don't freak out, aren't you? - Sure, whatever.
- So, there is no plan? Maybe there would be a plan if somebody stopped asking me so many questions and let the royal brains think! In keeping with tradition, I, the victor, offer you, the vanquished, one last request.
- Any request? - Mm-hmm.
Mm-hmm, mm-hmm.
[exclaims.]
I, the vanquished, request a dance-off! Hmm? A dance-off? That is unusual.
Yeah.
Like, really unusual.
[grunts.]
Sorry.
You said I get one last request and that's my request.
A dance-off.
And if I win said dance-off, you will let my peoples go free and I will sacrifice myself willingly.
And if you lose? Then I die anyway.
Pretty much a win-win for you, so, you're welcome.
Hmm.
So be it! Uh, let the dance battle begin! [automated voice.]
Versus.
- [dance music playing.]
- [grunting.]
Hey! [grunting.]
Oh, yeah.
Ha-hey! Hey-hey! Check it out! [grunting.]
- Ha-hey! - [cheers, laughs.]
Mm-hmm.
[classical music playing.]
Uh.
Wha [dance music playing.]
[gasps.]
Oh! [automated voice.]
Deal with it! [grunts.]
[trance music playing.]
[imitating robot voice.]
[grunting.]
[growls.]
[grunting.]
[both grunting.]
[Julien grunting wearily.]
[panting.]
[groans.]
[automated voice.]
KO! Uh.
Your underestimation of my twerkalicious dance skills has sealed your fate.
[pants.]
Amongst our kind, every warrior takes years of dance.
[chuckles.]
It gets you totally ripped! [grunts.]
Sorry! King Julien and his advisor will be fed to the giant snake at dawn! [mountain lemurs cheering.]
[groaning.]
- [squawking.]
- [grunts.]
Ow! [growls.]
[shouts.]
Sage! Why did you do that? I could've stopped Koto! A single grain of sand cannot push the frothing wave back into the sea.
[grunt.]
Look, I know I was outnumbered but I [stuttering.]
Oh, wow, think I'm actually starting to understand you.
- And I, you.
- Ha! No, Sage, if you understood me, you would have let me do my job! Instead, you picked me up and flew me halfway across the [echoes.]
island! [scream echoes.]
The acrid smell of anger burns in the nostril of time.
Are you angry with me? Ugh! [shouts.]
Yes, Sage, I am angry with you.
How has that not been clear? Then I am angry at me too.
[grunts.]
[grunting.]
Oh, okay, S Sage! That's not You don't have to Okay, stop it! Give me the [stuttering.]
[shouts.]
Stop it now! I have to go.
- Where? - I have to go back and help King Julien, so, please, do not get in the way this time.
I just hope I'm not too late.
- [smack.]
- [grunts.]
- Did you say something? - [squawks.]
- [smack.]
- [grunts.]
[snoring.]
[playing mouth organ.]
I never liked that Koto.
Not one bit.
Very dark energy.
Who's Koto again? The one feeding King Julien and Maurice to a snake at dawn! Oh, it's just too much to bear! [cries.]
No! No one feeds my King Julien to a snake! [grunting.]
[exclaims, farts.]
If we all push, we could get out of here and help King Julien.
We can't.
There's no way we can beat the mountain lemurs.
I mean, have you seen those guys? They work out a lot.
You know, I know I've said this before, Mort, but I think we better face it.
- We're all gonna die.
- [all gasp, screaming.]
[grunting.]
- [gasps.]
- [kissing.]
Hey! Fine, if you all won't help me, I'll save King Julien by myself! [grunting.]
Hmm.
Poor little guy's delusional.
[playing mouth organ.]
This is all my fault, Maurice.
[clears throat, coughs.]
- Uh - [chuckles.]
Am I supposed to say something? Don't try to be nice and say it isn't all my fault just to make me feel better! I wasn't.
Stop making excuses for me! I'm the one who let Koto in.
I'm the one who trusted him.
Although, you're right, I wasn't the only one who trusted him.
Clover was fooled by Koto, too.
Mo-mo? - [whimpers.]
- I'm sorry.
I'm sorry, too, Your Majesty.
And for what it's worth, despite the fact that we're about to die, I'm proud of the king you've become.
[sniffs.]
Sadly, that doesn't help at all.
[grunts.]
[grunting.]
[both gasping.]
- What's happening? - Oh.
Nothing yet! Oh, no.
[all grunting.]
- [growls.]
- [laughs.]
This is my favorite part! - [both exclaim.]
- [screaming.]
[hissing.]
- [both gasp.]
- [hissing.]
[growls.]
[both scream.]
[gasps.]
They released the snake! [all gasp.]
[screaming unintelligibly.]
- [snake hissing.]
- Goodbye, Maurice.
Goodbye, King Julien.
Oh, this is it.
I can't watch.
[hisses.]
[both screaming.]
[Julien.]
I don't wanna be eaten! I don't wanna be eaten! - Mort? - I'll [retches.]
One second [retching.]
I'll save you King Ju [retches.]
Julien! [yelling.]
[snarling.]
I can't believe it! Mort's in the ring! I repeat, Mort's in the ring! Yeah! How about that? - Hey, Snake, don't I look tasty? - [hissing.]
- Uh - [grunts.]
Look.
So juicy.
Want me to go get him? No.
He will be eaten soon enough.
[giggles.]
Mort's distracting the snake! [laughing.]
- [snarls.]
- Oh! Mort, quit playing around, and get over here and untie us! So small and yet, so brave.
Maybe we should help too! Yeah! I mean, we're gonna die anyway, so might as well, right? - Okay, fine.
Let's do this! Let's - Build a maze? No, you idiot.
Let's bust down this door! - [slurps.]
Right.
- [grunts.]
- Huh? [exclaims.]
- [exclaims.]
[both gasp, groan.]
What is that sound? [all screaming.]
Get them! [all screaming.]
- [both scream.]
- [growling.]
[both screaming.]
- [farts.]
- [mountain lemurs coughing.]
- Go! - [snarling.]
- [Aye-aye shrieking.]
- [screams.]
[growls, screams.]
[cries.]
[exclaims.]
[grunting.]
- [hissing.]
- [grunting.]
[Julien screaming.]
Hey, sailor.
- [snarls.]
- Huh? - [panting.]
- Hmm? [screaming.]
- [grunts.]
Hey! - My crown! [groans.]
[Mort mumbling.]
Uh! If we can get to the submarine, King Julien, I can get you out of here.
- No, Pancho.
I can't leave my peoples.
- [clamoring.]
King Julien, there's no way we can take on the mountain lemurs.
- [Pancho.]
This way! - We need to get out of here, so we can get help! Make a plan! Oh! [growling.]
[grunts.]
Let's go.
[growls.]
- [panting.]
- [hissing.]
Go, King Julien! I'll be okay! [yells.]
[panting.]
[Mort screaming.]
[whimpers.]
Goodbye, Mort.
[Mort screams.]
[panting.]
[screams, groans.]
Hurry, Pancho.
We gotta get King Julien out of here! - Punch it! - [buzzing.]
- Hurrah! - Hey, now! [panting.]
[grunts.]
Huh? [gasps.]
[sighs, exclaims.]
[Clover.]
King Julien! [grunting.]
[clanging.]
Are all of the prisoners back in their cage? Yes, but, uh, King Julien has escaped.
Huh? Shall I dispatch a search party to go after him? King Julien is a king no longer.
He has no crown, no home, and is no threat.
Forget him.
Soon he will be nothing more than a long forgotten memory.
Uh, can he be a memory if he's forgotten? - 'Cause, like, [stutters.]
to be a memory, - [growls.]
you'd have to be remembered, which he wouldn't be if he was forgotten, and so I was Sorry.
- [smacking.]
- Ow! [grunts.]
- [laughing.]
- [groaning, grunting.]
[Mort screams.]
Mmm.
[laughs.]
[gasps.]
- This is all my fault.
- [grunts.]
Hmm.
I have to do something.
I have to free all the prisoners.
I have to make Koto pay.
[grunts.]
I will make this right, even if it means I die in the process.
The larvae of the soul can only be eaten once.
We will find a way once you are full.
[sighs in relief.]
You're right, I can't fight Koto and the mountain lemurs alone.
I hate to say this but I need your help, Sage.
[grunts.]
[groans.]
Gah! - [grunts.]
- [groans.]
[crying.]
My kingdom.
Don't worry, King Julien.
- [cries.]
- I don't know how, but we'll find a way to get your kingdom back.
[whimpers.]
