It's day four,
and all our exes are preparing
for the next stage of their journey.
Today they'll leave the hotel
and move into their exes' homes
for one week.
[Meg] How do you feel about me
moving in and taking over?
-Well
-[chuckles]
[Jeremy] It's a little bit of an invasion
into my privacy, I guess.
[Meg] Of course. Into your bachelor pad.
[both laughing]
[narrator] Four years ago,
Meg and Jeremy called it quits
on their volatile relationship.
And even after their reunion
[Meg] I feel sick. It's overwhelming.
things remain rocky.
I'm really not in the mood
to do this at all.
[narrator] But as Meg prepares
to move into Jeremy's house,
she's trying to put her best foot forward.
[Jeremy] Welcome back.
All right. Look how clean it is.
I think I'm excited.
I think I'm excited
to be back at Jeremy's place.
I wanna make things work.
I want to give it 100%.
We'll just move everything out.
You take all of your stuff out,

They make the bigger picture.

of what living together looks like,
all of our hosts have been asked
to lay down some ground rules.

Rule number one:
No moodiness in the house.
-[scoffs]
-This is a very happy house, Meg.
You can't be going up and down
like you have been in the past.
I want us to be just happy.
-Happy house.

I don't think she realizes
how much her attitude
and her moodiness can affect me.
I just don't want to be
in an environment like that.
-Rule number two

No attitude about things.
[laughs and stammers]

-[Jeremy] And rule number three

and she just thinks that being by herself

These moments remind me how much
I like hanging out with Meg.
We can have fun together.

for our high school sweethearts,
Kate and Cam.

[narrator] Kate and Cam experienced
first love together
until their relationship ended
three years ago when Kate cheated.
Since their reunion,
she's been trying to regain his trust.

and for breakfast I would like porridge

[Kate] We haven't really had a chance
to sit down and have a chat
with what's going on and how
we're both feeling about this
and where we both think this is headed.
I'm glad we've discussed that.
They're on the fridge for your reference.

[Kate] Things look like they're definitely
going in the right direction.
I think our feelings are still both there.
You will be cooking for me every night.

Do you not remember

Diane had a long-distance relationship.
It was a romance Peter could never forget.
So, after 28 years,
he initiated a reunion with Diane,
hoping the spark was still alive.
Diane will now move in with Peter
for one week
and meet his kids
who live in the same area.
[Peter] Today, I'm bringing Diane
back to my home and I'm a bit nervous.
What's it called again? It's called

You know, it's a lovely place but it gets
a little small when you're a single dad.

The fact that he wants me to meet his kids
isn't something I take lightly.
Meeting them, that's huge.
My gosh. That's just a big step
in any relationship.

[Peter] There is equal parts
nervousness and excitement,
because I haven't had a lady friend
stay with me for several years and

It's messy. It smells dusty.

that she's going to have to use
her hands to actually eat food.

I'm not saying it's a bad thing,

[Erik] So here's the bedroom. Bed.

-I'll sleep on the couch.

Erik offering me the bed was nice.
It made me feel a little bit more relaxed.

I am starting to see the old Erik again.

Peter's also reacquainting Diane
with his day-to-day life
-in my twenties.

taking her sightseeing
around his local area.
[Diane] I'm feeling really good
about Peter right now.
I'm feeling like I'm getting to know him,
you know, but he's still Peter.
I don't think I've told you this.
When my dad retired, I took him
to the States for a month for a holiday.
And I really believe that one trip
brought Dad and I closer together.
It's like we're picking up
where we left off,
but it's sort of dealing
with that big gap in time
and where we are now as people today.

I think, to a certain extent,
I have glamorized the relationship.
You remember the good parts.
You tend to block out the bad parts.
And the opportunity for us
to really get to know each other,
that will certainly determine
whether it was
a fantasy for me
or whether it's going to be real.

so we actually have to turn
and have that as the background.

for a night of domestic bliss,

how much we've been through together

Those memories of how I was feeling

since I'm just so happy all the time.

So far, Meg's really going well
with the rules. We haven't had an issue.
Every so often, I remind her,
but it's sort of like a reminder,

take it back to when we first were
starting to get to know each other.

of a clean, because it's going everywhere.

I can say that this is

I think we're both realizing how special,
um, our relationship is
and how good we work together in a team.
I think somewhere along the way
we did forget that,
and we are starting to realize that now.
[Kate humming]

[narrator] As our couples
settle into domestic life,
they've been asked to write
a letter to their other half,
revealing their hopes, fears and secrets.
"Dear Meg, I'm really enjoying
spending time with you,
waking up in the morning next you.
You instantly make me so happy
and I know no matter
what happens during the day,
good or bad, that you'll be there with me.
I know you have concerns
about being with me.
I know I've treated you
like absolute shit before in the past.
And I hope one day
you can forget all those things.
I need you in my life
and I need your smile.
I enjoy everything about you,
and I really hope that you can believe me
when I say that I want to make this work."
I know that I want him in my life.

But it takes two parties

that I need to share with you."
[Peter] I'm nervous. Super nervous.
Yeah, just given the secrets
and the content of the letter.
"The timing of our reunion has coincided
with my financial status
at its lowest ebb for over 30 years."
Hopefully, Diane's looking for a guy
who doesn't need to be a provider.
Hopefully, it's not going to take money,
it's not going to take a gigantic house
on the Florida coast.
[Diane] "The domino effect of the setbacks
has resulted in me not being
where I'd like to be financially,
especially with you
coming back into my life.
While I am not broke,
I am sure that you are in
a far better position than I am, fiscally.
Please accept me for who I am.

And
this could be a deal-breaker.

Reading this letter really makes me
want to go back in time
and find past Kate
and sort of slap her in the face and

I've done something that has left him

I'm feeling quite anxious about what Kate
has written in this letter.
