Big Hero 6: The Series (2017) s02e12 Episode Script

City of Monsters (Part 1)

1 - [beeping.]
- Karmi: Whoa.
These parasites are ugly.
They're called parasynths.
And they're really inside someone? They were engineered to destroy viruses.
But once they were introduced - into the patient's body - The parasynths mutated.
And started destroying the healthy cells instead.
Which is why we don't have much time to find the cure.
It would help if I knew more about the patient.
The patient's identity is confidential.
- Oh.
- It's just protocol.
- I know, but - I'm trusting you with this responsibility.
And you have to trust me back.
We're trust buddies.
Well, you trusted me about the gold particle infusion, I guess.
We make a good team, trust buddy! [machine whirring.]
[beeping.]
[Karmi squeals excitedly.]
Karmi: I think it's working! Karmi: Oh.
[sighs.]
The parasynths are too powerful when they swarm.
So if we could find a way to keep them apart, the cure would work! Then we will do whatever it takes to make that happen.
Hang on a little longer.
We're close.
Hello.
I am Baymax.
[title music.]
Wah-oh Wah-oh Wah-oh Wah-oh-wah-oh Wah-oh-wah-oh [cat screeching.]
- [objects clattering.]
- [man groans.]
- Wasabi? - [Wasabi splutters.]
Why are you following me? What?! I haven't been I would never The street car.
My robotics class.
Lunch with Aunt Cass.
What's going on? He's on to us, guys.
[cans clatter.]
[slurp.]
Hiro: So you've all been following me? Look, Obake captured you.
Oh, and then there was that time Monster Knox took you.
- It is a pattern.
- We just want to be sure you're safe.
Why do you think I went to the woods with you and Krei? I've been on several dates with you and Megan.
They're not dates and [chuckles nervously.]
Baymax, tell them I don't need protection.
Baymax: That would be untrue.
- Really, Baymax? - Hiro, if you're right about Liv then you might really be in danger.
I can take care of myself.
I'm a super-hero too, remember? You're totally right.
Super-hero Hiro doesn't need protection.
- But civilian Hiro - Is a regular kid.
- I'm not a - Kids! Who wants milk and cookies? [sighs.]
- Enjoy.
- Thanks, Aunt Cass.
[chomps.
sips.]
Oh, you got a little There! Fred: Yum! Huh.
[grumbling.]
How's Sycorax's favorite teen genius? We're just checking in.
I think I've figured out a solution: robotics.
- I'm listening.
- I know it's out of the box.
But theoretically, microscopic robots could physically prevent the parasynths from swarming.
Brilliant, Karmi.
I had no idea you were a robotics expert, too.
Well, I'm not exactly.
But I'm a quick study! I couldn't be more proud of you.
You deserve a break.
Let me treat you to brunch.
Try our new hybrid guavacado spread.
Great on toast! We're done with her.
We need a real robotics expert.
- I'll put out some feelers.
- We don't have time to be polite.
Still not crazy about the secret babysitter service.
But you were right about new threats out there.
So Did you make upgrades? Tell me you made upgrades! Hiro made upgrades.
[engines whooshing.]
All right! New-toy dance! [vocalizing.]
Wait.
What's different? Wasabi, press that button.
- Whoa! Plasma shield! - And And plasma dagger! [Wasabi grunting.]
[energy charging.]
Hover-disc.
Nice.
Fred: Whoa! That is too cool! - New boots? - Chem boots.
- [giggling happily.]
- Try them out.
[giggles excitedly.]
Yay! Fun! Do mine! Do mine! Do mine! How do you feel about headlights? Head lice? Who told you I had head lice? That is a dirty lie! As of two weeks ago.
No.
"Headlights.
" Ohhhh.
[chuckles nervously.]
Sounds useful.
- [Go Go grunts.]
- [Wasabi yells.]
Fred: Ha-ha! This is awesome! I need to come up with a good battle quip just for this.
Maybe, "Face bright justice!" - Turn it down! Idiot.
- Did Go Go just call me an idiot? Go Go [on recording.]
: Idiot.
Idiot.
Idiot.
Idiot.
- Do I have - Super hearing.
[chuckling.]
This is like Christmas and my birthday and the "Human Fist Punches Up" premiere all rolled into one moment.
- Honey Lemon, let's jump for joy! - Honey Lemon: Yay! Hiro, I appear to be missing armor piece 427.
Sorry, Baymax.
Your upgrade's at school.
I have to go finish it.
What? [tools ratcheting, clanking.]
- Baymax: Hiro - Shh.
[music.]
- [screams.]
- [yells.]
Baymax: The intruder is Karmi.
[Karmi groans.]
- Karmi? - Duh.
You wanna put down the stapler? Why are you in the robotics lab? Well, if you must know, I'm working on a secret robotics project.
Oh yeah? For Liv? "Secret" means I don't tell nosy nitwits.
Good people skills, Karmi.
Also, you don't have any robotics skills.
With my background, robotics should be a total breeze.
[grunts.]
Ow.
I was alerted to your need for medical attention - when you said - Karmi: No.
Yeah, robotics is clearly a total breeze.
I was considering asking you for help, but I forgot you're the worst.
It's completely ridiculous! You can't just decide to become a robotics expert.
Most skills can be learned over time with diligence and hard work.
She thinks she's a bio-chem genius and a robotics genius? Ha.
Who does she think she is, Tadashi? Tadashi did not have the medical knowledge - to build my health care matrix.
- What? [gasps.]
He looks amazing! Well thanks, doc.
But without your input, he'd just be a talking balloon.
[giggling.]
Well, we make a great team.
Baymax: Hello! I am horizontal.
Uh he still may need a few tweaks.
[mocking Hiro.]
: "You don't have any robotics skills.
" - Huh.
- [beeping.]
- [electricity surging.]
- [Hiro clears throat.]
- Karmi? - Great.
- Listen, I - Don't touch Mr.
Varicella Zoster.
- Mr what? - He's a stuffed chicken pox virus, duh.
Oh, yeah.
Of course.
You came here to gloat some more? No.
I came here because [grumbles.]
[sighs.]
I want to help.
Well that's just You can't just Yeah, that'd be great.
[snarling.]
Chris, here.
- I'm here to serve.
- I found our expert.
"Wendy Wower"? Love.
That.
Hair.
Her A.
I.
research was groundbreaking.
- Go fetch.
- [snarling.]
Hmm Huh! What about a nano version of my microbots? They'd have to be extremely nano.
- Did it work? - I have no idea.
The nanobot is too small to see with the human eye.
- That's a problem.
- No, it's not.
Hiro: Whoa.
This could really work.
[chuckles.]
We have to see if they can survive inside the body.
I'm sure they [power whirring down.]
I guess the liquid must be messing with the wireless link.
That's okay.
I know how to fix it.
[music.]
Fred: The city was dark.
But their hearts were - light! - [Go Go grunts.]
[grunting.]
Oops.
Sorry, Go Go.
But you have to admit, the quip is getting better! Wasabi [over radio.]
: Everything okay over there? Define "okay.
" Thanks for doing double night patrol, guys.
- Go Go: No problem.
- Fred: Um, dream come true! If Hiro doesn't want us following him, looking out for threats is the next best thing.
But so far, nothing seems to be - Woman: Help! - Wait! I'm getting something.
Woman [over radio.]
: Get away from me! - Help! - [Fred chuckling.]
I can hear someone screaming all the way across the city.
Nice! Super hearing is awesome! I mean "Screaming.
So bad.
" - Yeah.
Let's go.
- Gonna use our new gear.
Wower: Get away from me! Help! Help! - Help! - [squeaking.]
Let me go, you What are you? Part plant? Kind of, yes.
It's not important right now.
Let's focus on the abduction.
I am not going with you, plant man! I'm not a plant man.
I'm a fun guy.
No really, I'm technically a fungi.
[Mayoi squeak, whistle.]
[squeaking.]
- [leaves rustling.]
- [Mayoi squeaking, purring.]
Help! I've been working on building circuitry into organic material.
Watch this.
[beeping.]
- Huh.
That's - Genius? [laughs.]
Sure.
If we coated the nanobots in an organic substance creating a membrane capable of emitting chemical signals, they should be able to communicate with each other inside the body.
Well, moment of truth.
[whirring.]
[music.]
- It works! - Yes! - [chuckles.]
- I mean - Good job.
- You too.
But seriously, that solution was amazing.
My mind is still blown by the neurotransmitter.
This is what Tadashi wanted.
Robotics and bio working together to help people.
I'm really sorry about Tadashi.
I always admired him.
I mean, Baymax is incredible.
Thanks.
But Tadashi didn't do it alone.
- [phone vibrating.]
- [gasps.]
- Sorry.
- Go Go: Sparkles has Wendy Wower.
- What? - He's heading toward Torii Gate Bridge.
I have to go.
[grunts.]
Ow.
Weirdo.
- [rockabilly music playing.]
- [screaming.]
I'm a Woweroo I love science, yes I do - I'm a Woweroo I love science - Are you trying to annoy me - into letting you go? - Yes.
Is it working? No! It's quite nice.
Keep singing.
Baymax: Scanning.
Scanning.
Scanning.
Baymax, activate jet pack.
[energy charging.]
[yelling.]
Whoo! [Mayoi squeaking.]
Big Hero 6 has beaten you before, Sparkles.
And we'll do it again.
Yes, you're right.
Six heroes and one villain boring! - But three villains - [roaring.]
- Fred: Huh? - Wasabi: Huh? [grunting.]
[roaring.]
[laughing.]
Plot twist! [over PA.]
Ladies and gentlemen, it's the entertainment event of the season.
The defeat of Big Hero 6.
Fred: Well, that's Big Hero-verse phase three stuff and we're only in phase two right now, which is cool because - [grunting.]
- Whoa! [Fred yelling.]
[Wasabi groaning.]
- Ooh.
I see you brought new toys.
- Sure did.
- [grunting.]
- [roaring.]
You're a real light weight.
[snarling.]
[crashing.]
No, you're right.
You're very heavy.
I'll work on it.
[giggling maniacally.]
- [grunting.]
- [Mayoi squeaking.]
Wower: Let me go! Let go of me, you creep.
You're just jealous I have brighter hair than you! Hang on, Dr.
Wower! [music.]
- [groans.]
- [Mayoi squeak.]
- Great shot! - Thanks! [Mayoi squeaking.]
[both grunting.]
[Wasabi panting.]
You're not much of a match.
He might be.
Baymax! Overdrive mode! [energy charging.]
[music.]
Oh, we've done this before and it didn't turn out well for you.
Baymax: Overdrive mode now with extra battery reserve.
[grunting.]
- [grunts.]
- [energy charging.]
[Fred yelling.]
[snarling.]
Hey, Hiro, if you have an upgrade, now would be a great time to use it.
- Not yet.
- [roaring.]
Not yet.
Now! Oh.
- Whoa.
- Fred: [chuckles.]
I am impressed.
And a little jealous.
- Are you all right? - Woweroos always are.
[Mayoi squeaking.]
Snuggle power! Adorable! Baymax! [Momakase grunting.]
Baymax: Low power.
Low power.
Low power.
[energy surging.]
[groaning.]
You got lucky.
- Thanks, you guys.
- Come on.
Let's get you home.
Baymax [slurring.]
: I'm a Woweroo.
I love science, yes I do.
Bye-bye, green fluffies! I'm a tiny little man.
[gasps.]
I'm a tiny little man.
Now we hug.
I should probably take him home to charge.
Ugh.
I know Liv was behind this.
Well, what would Liv Amara want with Wendy Wower? I don't know.
But whatever it is, we need to stop her.
And soon.
[toy squeaking.]
They keep getting in the way.
I want them gone.
Hm.
Big Hero 6 was a problem for my former employer as well.
- And? - And I can tell you the identity of their leader.
Hiro Hamada.
The kid with the robot? I hate that kid.
Separate the child from the rest and they'll be easy to defeat.
Finally some useful information.
[beeping.]
It appears you have a visitor.
- [sniffing.]
Karmi.
- Everyone out.
[Knox snarls.]
- [Sparkles laughs.]
- Stay.
Karmi.
How's the special project going? I think I've actually had a real breakthrough.
I got some help from Hiro.
I hope that's okay.
- Hiro Hamada? - I know.
He's usually the worst.
But he had a solution that I think will really work.
Karmi, I want to commend the work you've been doing.
- Truly exemplary.
- Thank you.
Liv: I think you're due for a promotion.
Or as I prefer to call it an upgrade.
Why are you looking at me like that? [yawning.]
[phone vibrating.]
You were right about Liv.
What? Wait, what's going on? She just went crazy and turned on me.
I ran.
I'm hiding at school.
- I'll be right there.
- [phone beeps.]
I have alerted the others.
- Shall we wait for them to arrive? - There's no time.
Karmi needs us! Ah! - [roaring.]
- Bessie.
- And now it gets fun.
- [roaring.]
Baymax! [growling.]
[grunts.]
- [metallic thud.]
- [Hiro gasps.]
Baymax! Baymax: Help Karmi.
- Karmi! - Karmi: Hiro? - Liv's outside.
- Now what? We'll find a way out.
We make a surprisingly great team, remember? Yeah, we do.
Get his armor off and load him in the car.
Now, what about the kids? Don't worry.
They're already handled.
[beeping.]
- Oh no.
Oh no, no, no.
- What? - No! - [gasping.]
[yelling.]
[yelling.]
[low hissing.]
[screeches.]
[shuddering.]
[yelps.]
[screeches.]
