Danger on the Windowsill

Crazy!
Life was good
on Hot Dog stand ♪
For two bugs
with food demands ♪
Had our last meal
one sunny day ♪
They got caught
up and swept away ♪
Into Kitchen's
where they landed ♪
We're so hungry ♪
And we're stranded ♪
Finding food is
quite a mission ♪
Other bugs are competition ♪
Now just one question ♪
How do we find our
way back home? ♪
(digital music)
(sighs)
(snoring)
(yawns)
(thuds and groans)
(yawns)
- Good morning.
(thuds)
(screams)
Did you see that, Perky?
(yawns)
- See what?
- Come with me.
(digital music)
- Oh, what is it, Erky?
- Maybe it's a net.
- Well, that's a really big net.
- To catch really big crumbs.
(thud)
(ominous music)
Ooh, that was quick.
First meal's been caught.
- No, don't get too close, Erky.
Here, take something to poke it.
- Good idea.
- Hey.
Is it dangerous, Erky?
- Only one way to tell.
I'll taste it.
Ooh (screams).
Perky, I'm staggered.
(yelling)

(yelling and grunting)
- (whistles) Get
over here, bugs.
- Father.
(thuds)
(yells)
- Don't be alarmed.

- Oh, hello, Alfred.
- Don't fall for it, Perky.
It's a trick.
- Get a firm grip, boys.
(grunting)
- Let my friend go.
- He's my friend
now, my blue friend,
and our yellow friend there
is gonna pay us a ransom.
Otherwise, we won't let you go.
- Ransom?
- I can smell food in there.
Go get enough
for the three of us.
- Oh, Perky, do what he says.
Get every bug in
kitchen to pitch in.
- Well, how will I
get them to do that?
- Tell them it's to
save me, of course.
Hurry.
- You have until my
tummy starts to rumble.
(stomach rumbling)
- That was me, that
was me (laughs).
Go!
- Oh.
- What, me again (laughs).
Are there any
snacks for hostages?
(ominous music)
- Help, help.
(thuds)
Oh, pardon me.
- This one's not
much of a talker.
- Moldy, the outsiders
have bugnapped Erky,
and they're demanding
food for a ransom.
- Just like what happened to
the last bug who got snatched.
- Who was that?
- Can't remember,
never heard from him again.
- Huh?
I gotta find some food
or else Erky's done for.
Got any?
- Have good luck with that.
Let me know if things get juicy.
(pants)
(ominous music) (grunting)
I suppose you
savages plan to eat me.
- Eat you?
- I knew it.
- Why would I want to eat you?
- Pleasing to the eye,
no doubt delicious?
How could you resist?
- Oh, I can resist,
but I can't speak for these two.
(grunting)
(stomach rumbles)
- Oh, there they go again.
Must be gas.
(ominous music)
- Hey, wait a second.
I just went
How come
Huh?
Frenzel, thank goodness.
Erky's been bugnapped.
- Shh.
When the top rises, there's
food and treasure inside
beyond your wildest dreams.
- Food for Erky's ransom.
When does it open?
(ominous music)
- This is it, boys.
- Please bring back some
food to help me save Erky.
(ominous music)
- Food.
(thuds)
- Ooh, that's gotta hurt.
- [Erky] Perky.
Hurry.
(dramatic music)
- Using that emerging voice.
Your lanky's
having a little swing.
(groans and growling)
- Watch, everyone knows
blue bugs are the worst tasting.
Green ones are much better.
- I know.
The boys really like blue.
Personally, I'm
very partial to yellow.
- Are you sure about that?
Alfred, in kitchen, there are
bugs of all shapes and colors,
and I can lead you to them.
- How do you live with yourself?
(stomach rumbles)
And that was definitely me.
(upbeat music)
- But Perky, today's the
day Aunt Margaret gets
her beauty treatment.
- But this is more
important than that, Sajuica.
- Well, if I do this
huge favor for you,
remember, it's
because I'm your friend,
not Erky's.
(ominous music)
- Alfred, please.
Can I call you Alfie?
Do you like brown?
Cause my friend
Frenzel's not just brown,
he's a few different
shades of brown.
- Brown never sits
well in my stomach.
- Or if you'd prefer
something more exotic,
there's Moldy van Oldy.
He's a very fancy
turquoise color, yummy.
- What about that yellow?
- Yellow?
You mean Perky?
No, that's not possible.
(grunts)
- Yellow reminds me
of me mum's cooking.
- Not Perky, no deal.
- Nobody fried them
up like me mum.
- I know, I should introduce
you to Mad Margaret.
- Who's Mad Margaret, then?
- Oh, she's huge and
purple and delicious.
- You gotta be kidding.
I wouldn't help that blue blob
if he was the last
bug in kitchen.
- But you're my last
hope to save Erky.
- I've heard enough.
Sajuica, you know
better than to interrupt me
when I'm being polished.
- Your Gorgeousness, if
these bad bugs don't get
what they want, they're
certain to eat Erky.
- Really?
(gasps) You didn't mention that.
Now that I've
gotta see (laughs).
Let's go.
- I'm so hungry.
I'm coming around to the
idea of eating a blue bug.
(bad bugs grunt) (Erky gasps)
- No, please, purple's
much tastier than blue.
And Mad Margaret's so
big, she's a flying banquet.
(ominous music)
Oh, such a terrible thought
would never enter my head.
- Nice try, dinner bug.
- Oh, I told you Perky
would come through.
Give them the ransom, Perky.
- (whimpers) I'm sorry, Erky.
I tried so hard.
- You went to all my friends
and couldn't round
up a single crumb?
- Friends?
Believe me, this bug
was willing to sell out
all of you to save
his own shell.
(all gasp)
- Oh, you would've
done the same thing.
- Less talking, more eating.
- Hope that they
start with the legs
and work their way up.
(ominous music)
- Perky, before
I'm brutally eaten,
you need to know
that I never considered
offering you up to these brutes.
Never.
- That is true.
- Erky, I know
you wouldn't that.
- Okay, I needed
that off my chest
before I'm added
to the bug menu.
(wails)
- Erky, I'm so
sorry I let you down.
- Poor Perky, he really would
give his right arm for Erky.
- Take me instead.
(all gasp)
- Now we're talking.
- Absolutely not.
- Trust me, Erky.
- Well, if you put it that way.
- Erky, don't do this.
(grunts and thuds)
(groans and thuds)
(triumphant music)
- Perky, old pal.
Freedom at last.
- Perky, you did it.
- The old arm and
leg trick, that's not fair.
- Oh, Alfred, don't
be such a sore loser.
- You're right,
no hard feelings?
(all gasp)
- All right, then.
- No, Erky, it's a trick.
(he laughs)
- Next time, someone
better get eaten.
Come on, Cecil, you can
finish polishing my wings.
(groans)
- Let's go, boys.
No one seems
interested in lunch.
- Perky, you're a genius.
- Erky, you know I'm
always willing to lend a hand.
(they laugh)
- And the part
where you pretended
that the other bugs
weren't willing to help out
with the ransom,
that was a nice touch.
- Um, that wasn't
pretending, Erky.
- Oh, you're right, it
was brilliant acting.
And those goons fell for it.
- Um, Erky.
- I have to say, being held
hostage has made me peckish.
Did you manage to hold
on to a little something
I could snack on?
- [Perky] Well, you
see, Erky, it's like this.
(happy music)
(upbeat music)
