Hell's Kitchen (2005) s13e08 Episode Script

11 Chefs Compete, Part 1

Previously on Hell's Kitchen.
Chef Ramsay made a shocking decision.
Sterling To throw Sterling You're in the red team.
A lifeline What's up, red team? I'm home.
Which threw the women for a loop.
Sterling is going to be unbearable.
An assumption is always the assumption that always always to [Bleep.]
up.
What are you talking about? It's only gonna get worse from here.
The next morning The teams were serenaded and then challenged.
You'll be cooking Italian food.
Ashley was at a loss with the saltimbocca.
I suck at Italian food.
The newest member of the red team, Sterling, was eager for redemption.
Bryant's one of the very first ones that throwed me onto the chopping block.
It all came down to the final dish.
I have to go with the blue team.
And it was Bryant who prevailed, handing the blue team another victory.
- Yes! - Yes.
Oh, no! During a disappointing Italian night, Steve's sluggish start on appetizers Hey, we'll go on Steve's time then, yeah? Was followed by Frank's confusion on meat That's not the right one.
I grabbed it from the wrong side.
Raw and overcooked.
And Aaron's lack of teamwork on the fish station.
He needs help there.
Go away! Go.
This is embarrassing.
On the red team, Jennifer was strong on appetizers Risotto's perfect.
But Sade's tableside tumble Roe's undercooked steak Back in.
Use your [Bleep.]
brain.
And Ashley's returned calamari That's from the Italian consulate table.
What in the [Bleep.]
is going on? Left Chef Ramsay with no choice.
Get out! Not surprisingly, there was no winning team.
The red team nominated Ashley.
And Myself.
While the blue team nominated Aaron, Chef.
And Steve.
But it was Ashley, give me your jacket, please.
Who said good-bye to her dream of becoming head Chef at Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill at Caesars Atlantic City.
One more bit of business.
Find out what else is in store for the remaining Chefs right now on Hell's Kitchen.
Fire Uh, uh Fire Ooh ooh ooh ooh The way you walk and talk Really sets me off To a full alarm, child Yes, it does The way you swerve and curve Really wrecks my nerves And I'm so excited, child The way you squeeze and tease Knocks me to my knees 'Cause I'm smokin' Baby, baby When you're hot, you're hot You really shoot your shot You're dynamite, child Ooh ooh ooh ooh Fire What I said, child, ow Fire, got me burnin', got me burnin' Uh-huh Fire And now the continuation of Hell's Kitchen.
One more bit of business.
Frank, step forward.
Thank god, Frankie should be out of Hell's Kitchen, 'cause he does not belong here.
Tonight wasn't your first bad service, but it will be your last On the blue team.
Take off your jacket.
You're going into the red team.
What? I'm gonna make that team strong, Chef.
Thank you.
Phew.
Leaving the red team tonight and going to the blue team is Sade.
You're in the blue team.
That's right.
After two miserable back-to-back services, I had to do something to shake this up.
Get out of here.
Oh, my god! Why me? It's like the island of misfit toys on the blue team.
I thought I was gone.
I thought I was like, "oh, [Bleep.]
.
" I'm so happy that Frank's not with us no more.
We welcome Sade to the team, and as long as she's a team player, we're all fine with her being on our team.
Yeah, go, blue.
Putting me on the blue team will definitely make the blue team stronger, but putting Frank on the red team is gonna bring them down.
I'm happy that he's giving me another shot.
To second chances.
Yeah.
Or third.
She just moved into a war zone.
I think they're falling apart, and they're falling apart hard.
I'm gonna [Bleep.]
that team up so bad.
They're gonna be all, "why are we losing? Why are we losing? Why are we losing?" I don't know, 'cause your best Chef moved onto the next team.
That was me.
Welcome to the red, baby.
It's a new day in Hell's Kitchen with new teammates to adjust to.
That blue does nothing for you, honey.
Don't hate because I'm your ex-teammate.
Chef Ramsay needs you outside in front of Hell's Kitchen right now.
Outside in front of Hell's Kitchen.
Huh! Huh! Let's go.
Line up, please.
Red team, let's go.
We have a group of V.
I.
P.
S, and tomorrow night, they will be our guests of honor.
Give them a very warm welcome.
This group is very prestigious.
When I say "prestigious," I mean prestigious.
Out of this S.
U.
V.
Jumps two huge bodyguards.
I'm thinking, "is it the president?" Oh, [Bleep.]
.
Obama in this building! Please welcome Members of the American Kennel club.
- Oh, wow.
- Good morning.
It's a dog.
A dog? These are just three of the outstanding dogs that will compete here for the title of "Hell's Kitchen best in show.
" Your challenge today is to prepare a stunning tasting menu ahead of the event tomorrow evening.
We'll select two appetizers and three entrees.
The team who has the most chosen dishes for the menu wins the challenge.
Clear? Yes, Chef! Your 45 minutes starts now.
Come on.
Go.
Let's go.
In today's tasting menu challenge, each Chef is responsible for a dish.
Of course, they're hoping their dish will be chosen for tomorrow night's event.
I'm doing crab cake, doing more of an Asian twist on it.
Pickled enokis, some daikons.
I'm doing seared Chilean sea bass with a spicy tomato saffron broth.
I'm doing a Chilean sea bass with roasted heirloom tomatoes.
Because the blue team has one more member than the red, when the allotted cooking time is up, they will have to choose one dish that will not be presented to the judges.
Let's go.
I have head-on prawns a la plancha in an heirloom tomato citrus reduction.
Looking good.
It appears as though everyone is pulling out all the stops to create a tasty dish to serve to the members of the American kennel club.
I decided to do a little grilled head-on prawns with chili grits.
Except Maybe not wine, 'cause it's dogs.
Sade, who may be barking up the wrong tree.
I don't know about fried anything for dogs.
Sade's not making too much [Bleep.]
sense right now.
I'm going to do a braised beef dish.
I'm gonna cut it down into small pieces that they can actually eat.
Okay, we have to make dog food.
I've never done this before, but I guess it makes sense.
I'm really confused.
Sade's, you know, dicing up this New York strip.
She know we don't have to cook for the dogs, right? No one could be that stupid.
Crab cakes.
Gotta make sure this is finesse.
Today, I want them to taste the love on the plate.
Any way I can get some mayonnaise? Make your own.
Oh, for real? Correct me if I'm wrong, mayonnaise like hollandaise.
I ain't made it in a long time.
A little nervous with the fact that he doesn't know how to make mayonnaise.
Egg yolks, lemon juice, Dijon, a little spice or something to make it pop.
Squeezing a little grapes, man.
Bryant had some pork working on the grill.
I just looked over there, and I saw these bright colors, and I'm thinking, "berries and grapes and pork?" Hey, Bryant, is this yours? Yeah.
That's sweet.
That's what I want.
Okay.
Hey, if you got a plan.
Ten minutes, red team.
How you looking, girls? Looking good, looking good.
I knew that.
I'm definitely feeling the red.
I love the women.
Love them.
How's your duck doing, Frankie? I don't know, I think they're a little too dark on one side.
Do you have time to do another one? Let me get another one going, just in case.
B, shove that in your mouth.
Four of us are making entrees, and we could only pick three of 'em.
I think it's just a little burnt, man, around the edges, or something, yeah.
That's weird.
It's supposed to be crispy.
I have a nice, classic duck a l'orange with a potato galette, and my dish is definitely going up.
I'm not getting burnt.
Very, very crispy.
All right, guys, we should be plating in about three minutes.
- Sade? - Yes, Chef? First time in the blue team.
Make an impression.
Ooh, doggie.
So I'm basically doing a braised beef dish that has to be something that a dog can actually digest.
I think the dogs are really gonna like it.
Five, four, three, two, one, and serve.
Let's go.
[Bleep.]
my life.
I look around, and I realize, "oh, my god, these are human portions.
" I thought we were cooking for dogs.
What's this plate here? What is that? Braised beef.
Braised beef? Am I the only one here, or does that sound [Bleep.]
ridiculous? Looks like a dog [Bleep.]
all over my plate.
Blue team, whose dish are we dropping? Sade's.
Sade's.
I'm hoping these dishes are good, because we have two very special judges.
One of them happens to also be a certified dog trainer and is - a Michelin Star Chef as well.
- Wow.
Chef Douglas Keane, please welcome.
Wow.
Good to see you.
Please.
Good to see you.
Also joining us today, an Executive Chef of the artisan hot dog restaurant, Fritzi Dog, Chef Neal Fraser.
Neal, welcome back, sir.
Thank you so much for coming.
Good to see you.
Hey, buddy, how are you? Okay, let's begin with the appetizers, two from the red, two from the blue, please.
- Thank you.
- Let's go.
The judges will select two appetizers to feature on tomorrow night's menu for the first-ever Hell's Kitchen dog show.
- Prawns and some crab.
- Yeah.
Coincidentally, both teams have presented a crab cake and a prawn dish.
- Visually, they look nice.
- Yeah, they look great.
To avoid having duplicate items, the judges will choose one prawn dish and one crab cake to feature on tomorrow night's menu.
Okay.
First up are the prawn dishes.
Please, La Tasha, explain.
I've prepared pan-seared prawns with chipotle grits.
I'm really hoping my flavors come through, because I see Fernando's plate, and honestly, it looked damn good.
Neal, how was that for you? I think the shrimp are maybe just a little bit overcooked.
[Bleep.]
.
These are really delicate creatures.
It's a shame, because it's seasoned beautifully.
Next up from the blue team is Fernando's prawns a la plancha with tomato and red pepper emulsion.
Nothing really popped for me.
A little more acid would have actually brightened it up.
The prawn is slightly overcooked.
Simple and elegant.
The crab dishes are up next, and the first to be tasted is Aaron's chilled crab cakes with daikon frisee and pickled enoki mushrooms.
- I think it's tasty.
- It's a well-done dish.
It's nice.
Whose is this dish here? It's my dish.
From the red team, Sterling has served panko-breaded crab cakes with frisee salad.
The key ingredient I used was love.
What does love taste like? You're tasting it now.
Guess what, love's not a [Bleep.]
ingredient, [Bleep.]
.
How was that for you, sir? Yeah, I'm impressed with the seasoning on it.
There's a good amount of crab in it.
- The texture inside's delicious.
- Yeah.
Thank you.
Judges, we need to choose two.
That one has a little bit more balance to it.
No way they pick Sterling's dish.
If I had to describe Sterling's crab cake in one word, it'd be "fast food.
" The one dish that stood out that was a clear winner for all of us Sterling.
Good job.
Uh! With love.
Whoo-whoo! That's what's up! That's love, baby.
The prawn dish that they felt had the biggest potential Fernando.
Good job.
Thank you.
Okay, tied up.
Next up, the entree.
Let's go.
With the score tied at one point each, the judges will now select three entrees to add to the menu.
First to be tasted is Bryant's pork chop with red Berry sauce.
- I think it's delicious, Chef.
- Yeah, way to pull it off.
Well, you've nailed the chop.
Next, Roe looks to impress with her surf and turf.
It's very, uh, gray.
The inside is rare, and the outside is well-done.
It all looks the same anemic color.
Now it's Santos' chance to shine with his duck a l'orange.
Ouch.
It's supposed to have a little crispy to it.
It's burned.
It's not crispy.
- It's burned.
- Yeah.
But his potato galette Why didn't anybody tell me it was burned? I think it's just a little burned, man.
Leaves the door open for Frank and his duck dish.
Did you use two different breasts? Yes.
They're cooked to different temperatures.
Ah.
[Bleep.]
ducks.
After two lame ducks Excuse me.
The judges move on to Steve's pan-seared Chilean sea bass with roasted tomatoes.
- Great seasoning.
- Thank you, Chef.
Fish is moist, and it's tasty.
Good job.
God, I hope mine's okay.
On the red team, Jennifer's pan-seared Chilean sea bass is served with a spicy heirloom tomato broth.
That has to be one of the most attractive dishes I've seen so far in this competition.
Yeah, that dish is beautiful! - You actually nailed it.
- Yeah.
It's the best dish we've had so far.
Great job.
Thank you, Chef.
Two great Chilean sea bass dishes, but we will only choose one for the menu.
I want this point bad.
Like, I am really looking to shut Steve down.
The first clear winner of the entrees, Jennifer.
Great job.
Thank you, Chef.
Thank you very much.
I love you.
Mwah.
Two to one.
A second clear favorite that the judges felt was on point, great job Pork chop.
Bryant, well done.
Yes! Thank you.
Good job, Bryant.
Bryant, yes! Whoo! Red team, blue team, this is close, 2-2.
With the score tied, the team whose entree is chosen next wins the challenge.
It's between Frank's duck dish and Santos' duck dish.
Burnt potato and all, I should have this in the bag, no problem.
Is there a dish that we can finesse and take it up to the next level? I think there is.
You got this.
Come on, come on.
Please.
Please.
The winner of the entrees is In today's challenge, the Chefs are competing to have their dishes featured on the dinner menu for the first-ever Hell's Kitchen dog show, hosted by the American kennel club.
Red team, blue team, this is close, 2-2.
With the score tied and only one spot remaining It's between Frank's duck dish and Santos' duck dish.
The next dish chosen will win the challenge for their team.
The winner of the entrees is The red team's duck.
Thank you.
Congratulations, red team wins.
Frankie, ohh! You are going to one of California's premier attractions, Seaworld in San Diego! Yeah! I have never been to Seaworld.
I could cry from just [Bleep.]
excitement.
- Hey! - Yes! After that, you're gonna be dining at one of the most sought-after tables in San Diego.
Searsucker restaurant.
Wow.
You're gonna meet the owner and Executive Chef, Brian Malarkey.
Now, get out of here.
Enjoy.
Just want to say one thing to the blue team Ohh.
How's my technique now, baby? Boo-ya! Blue team, you're gonna set up the dining room ahead of our big event.
And one more thing, the American kennel club humane fund, they're dropping off some dogs for you to wash and groom.
Oh, [Bleep.]
.
Okay? You got a dog of a day.
[Bleep.]
me.
I feel like, right now, if Sade was on the other team and Frank was on our team still, we probably would have won it.
Sad to say that.
Oh, jeez.
This is great.
Hey, puppies.
Ready for your shower? Who's a good, little puppy? For some of these guys, this is a reward and not a punishment.
Yes.
Who's a good boy, huh? Seriously, let's just get this over with, please.
Oh, lookit.
Oh, my gosh! - Precious.
- Aww! Make sure you get behind the ears real good.
Beat it, all right? I am so tempted to grab the hose and spray all of these bitches, and I'm not talking about the dogs either.
Yes, who's a good boy, huh? Who is a good boy? Yeah! Oh, girl.
- Oh! - Whoo! I'm definitely looking forward to this today.
I'm feeling like a kid again.
Welcome to pets rule.
We give you the pets! The things that you can train animals to do is, like, out of this world.
Whoa! I seen a dog pulling up a rope with a weight at the bottom of it.
Are you kidding me? A dog.
While Frank gets his mind blown by a crafty canine, back in Hell's Kitchen, the blue team gets busy with handiwork.
- Uh, too big.
- Too big? This will be table 12, and it's gonna come this way.
Sure.
Aaron is just driving me up the wall, just micromanaging all the time.
Guys, flip it over and just roll it.
We tried that, don't worry.
Just stay to yourself.
I know what to do.
I know how to do it.
Who here has done carpet before? I have.
I've been a photo technician.
I've worked in retail.
I've been a rock climbing instructor.
I've worked on a farm.
I've been a janitor.
It all comes in handy at one point in time or the other.
So if we do 4 pounds worth of cookies, it should be enough.
Depends on how big the cookies are.
Yield's, like, just under 2 pounds.
How do you know that? 'Cause a kilo is 1,000.
You know that, shocking.
Big cookies are 3 ounces.
Dude, shut up.
We have a long day ahead of us.
Searsucker! Here we go, here we go.
We're not eating downstairs in the dining room with the common folk.
Oh, wow, this is amazing.
Are you kidding me? Balling! Balling! It doesn't get any better than that.
Oh, wow, I know this guy.
All right! Hello.
Hey.
In walks Chef Brian.
Mmm, quite dreamy.
As Chefs, you don't often get to sit down and enjoy somebody else's food, so I'm very happy you guys are here and that I get to cook for you.
You been working hard all day.
- Just take a load off, all right? - Yes, we have.
Chef Brian is just like me.
He's so positive, and he's different.
Here we go.
Okay.
And his food is so magnificent.
Once again, work hard, play hard.
Man, I'm in heaven.
Are we twist-tying these suckers? No, they got strings.
Whoo! Seaworld! Hey, guys.
Look at your dolphins.
Oh, you got little whales.
Duck, duck, duck, duck Wait, wait, wait.
Not a good duck.
Goose.
The Chefs are back in the kitchen with just a few hours to prepare for Hell's Kitchen's first-ever best-in-show dinner service, but Sterling Roe? Has something else on his mind.
I just want to tell you I love you.
Thanks, Sterling.
Jennifer? Oh, [Bleep.]
.
Here we go.
I just want to tell you I love you.
Frank? I love you too.
I want to hear it, though.
I just wanted to say, stay focused.
While the red team seems relaxed and confident for tonight's dinner service How's it going over there, Johnny Appleseed? It's going.
In the blue kitchen So miss Sade, I'm gonna show you, like, how I set up.
Santos seems less confident in the team's newest member.
Prawns here on ice.
Really, Santos? This is not my first day in Hell's Kitchen.
This cocky attitude you have is seriously [Bleep.]
me.
Sade, Sade, have you cooked a duck breast? You ever cooked a duck breast? I can feel myself on the verge of snapping.
I'm sick of it.
- Sade? - Sade? [Bleep.]
all of them.
Sade? Moments before the first-ever Hell's Kitchen best-in-show dinner service I'm almost done here.
Frank seems to be fitting in with his new teammates, but in the blue kitchen Sade, have you cooked a duck breast? You ever cooked a duck breast? The same can't be said about Sade.
- Sade? - Sade? Sade? [Bleep.]
all of them.
Sade, hopefully, she'll work with us, not against us.
We're not gonna let you bring us down.
Red team, let's go.
Blue team, let's go.
Line up, please, let's go.
Tonight is a very special night.
For the first time ever, there will be a dog show happening in our dining room tonight.
Tickets will come in, normal order, but we will fire the appetizers after the opening round of the dog show.
Clear? Yes, Chef.
Once all the appetizers are served, that will be the cue for the dog show to continue.
The winner of the dog show cannot be announced until all the entrees have been completed.
Now, that is precision beyond belief, guys.
Yes, Chef.
Get on your stations.
Yes, Chef.
Marino, open Hell's Kitchen, please.
Yes, Chef.
One, two, three, blue! Yeah, man.
Time to shine, baby.
Tonight, Hell's Kitchen will open its doors to Los Angeles' most well-heeled guests.
Getting close to time to go on.
Timing and precision will be key, as after each round of this American kennel club competition, the Chefs must be ready to send out the next course.
On order, first ticket of the night.
Here we go, red team, two prawn, two caesar, two Risotto.
Heard, Chef.
Two prawns, two caesars.
Heard.
I'm doing this right here and then chive sticks.
Frank's a little confused.
I'm definitely trying to keep an eye on him.
With this dog show, we got to time it out perfectly.
- Let's go, red team.
- Yes, Chef.
While Chefs on the red side ready their stations, over in the blue kitchen On order, and obviously, not away, two Risotto, two scallops.
Yes, Chef.
Heard! Scallops are not going to be a problem today.
Fernando on the fish station Why are you seasoning scallops, young man? I got I'm sorry, Chef? Has jumped the gun.
You [Bleep.]
heard me.
Why are you seasoning scallops? What a [Bleep.]
idiot.
And Chef Ramsay has something to say about that.
All of you, come here.
Oh, [Bleep.]
.
Here we go.
I'm gonna call out the orders.
After the first show, we're gonna start cooking.
You're seasoning scallops.
Why? Completely forgot about the seven minutes.
You forgot? I was so we haven't even started, but you just forgot, just like that? Hey, blue team, [Bleep.]
wake up, will you? Yes, Chef.
Listen! I will, Chef.
[Bleep.]
.
I just I don't [Bleep.]
get it.
While Fernando [Bleep.]
muppet.
Begins dinner service already in the doghouse, out in the dining room Welcome, everyone, to the first-ever Hell's Kitchen's best in show.
The preliminary round of the dog show is commencing.
We have the Rhodesian ridgeback.
The ridge of hair on the back is the hallmark of this breed.
That ridgeback is really a quality dog.
Isn't it beautiful? Oh, they look so cute and cuddly.
Let me go play with the dogs, rub some bellies.
The smooth collie.
The smooth collie originates in Scotland and northern England and was bred to herd sheep.
Topline's a little weak right behind the withers.
Yeah, yeah.
This is the first Hell's Kitchen's dog show.
We can't [Bleep.]
this up, so, Sade, don't give us dog food.
The Portuguese water dog has a waterproof coat.
They were bred to accompany fishermen on their boats.
Chef, the final dog is coming out right now.
Final dog's coming out.
Thank you.
From San Diego, California, this is cane.
Two minutes away, yes? - Two minutes away.
- Heard, Chef.
Please give a round of applause to all of our amazing competitors.
Whoo! Our judges will certainly have a difficult time selecting our three finalists for the next round.
See, this cavalier is bigger than the Lhasa.
And that shouldn't be.
- No.
- No.
Let's go, guys.
We're live.
Minute and a half on the scallops.
After that, four Risotto, two scallops.
- Move, guys.
- Yes, Chef.
Let's go, we're live.
- Yes, Chef.
- Frank! Yes, Chef! Wake up, let's go! Right out of the gate, Frank's got salads.
I'm working the Risotto and the prawns.
This is gonna be easy.
Yes, Chef.
Come on, come on, go, go, go.
Good, let's go.
While La Tasha leads the pack on the red side Got the salads ready, right? Yes, I do.
Second ticket, two caesar salad, two crab cake.
Yes, Chef! Over in the blue kitchen Tell me when you're ready, I'll walk 'em.
Yeah, okay, no problem.
Fernando's back in the spotlight with his scallops.
Bryant, how long on Risotto, bubba? Ready, ready.
- Come on with these scallops! - They're not ready.
I'm not gonna put raw food on the plate.
There's no [Bleep.]
way.
- They're not ready.
- Too slow! They're not ready.
I'm not gonna send them raw! Just let me [Bleep.]
cook it, [Bleep.]
! While Fernando is still searing his scallops They're [Bleep.]
raw.
Back in the red kitchen Walking two prawns.
Two Risotto in the pan, Chef.
Very nice, that Risotto.
La Tasha, on hot appetizers, is delivering food at a very consistent and rapid pace.
Go, please.
At this point, I'm just hoping Frank's able to keep up.
Come on, you got to get in and out quick, Frank.
In and out, you got it.
Two caesar salad, two crab cake.
How long? Crab cake, Chefs.
Frank, how are you looking on caesar? Come on, Frank, please! I heard you, Chef.
I'm working it.
How long? I got everything going, Chef.
No problem.
After being hounded for salads Walking, walking, walking.
Service, please.
Frank finally delivers on cold appetizers, while over in the blue kitchen Two Risotto, Chef.
Walking with go, go, go, go, go! Hey, come on! Come on! Fernando is ready with his much anticipated scallops.
Service, please.
Whew! That was close.
Who are you thinking with regards to the three? The golden, the Lhasa, and the Porto.
- And the Portuguese.
- Portuguese.
We got it.
Four Risotto, two scallops.
How long? In my hand, Chef.
All right, come on.
Keep it together.
Keep your composure.
With Bryant and Fernando Walking! Walking! Service, please.
Now in sync, the blue team has hit their stride on appetizers.
I love the scallops.
They are really great.
Meanwhile, the red team Two Risotto, two caesar salad, two crab cake, how long? Is ready with their last order of appetizers.
Crab cake, where is it? Crab cake, yes! Two Risotto.
Where's the caesar? Well, almost ready.
Come on, Frank! I got it, I got it, I got it.
Caesar salad, it's the quickest, [Bleep.]
easiest thing.
We are only moments away from revealing our three finalists.
Caesar, Frank! I'm coming with the caesar! Finish the caesars.
Finish the caesars.
Come on, come on, two caesars.
Get the two caesars! Yeah, I got it.
Come on, guys! Yes, Chef! Got too much stressing, Chef.
Frank, if we're beating you to the pass with hot apps, that does not look good for red team.
We just really want to move on to entrees.
The only thing holding us back are some [Bleep.]
caesar salads.
Hey, red team! Hey, all of you, come here.
It's going so well, and look at the [Bleep.]
I just got.
Look, just just Yes, that's my fault.
I'll fix it right now.
The most famous salad in the world.
- Yes, Chef.
- You can do it, Frank.
While Frank's sloppy salads have stalled the red team Come on, Frankie, pull it together, baby, pull it together.
Over in the blue kitchen Three prawns, one Risotto, two caesar salad.
The end of appetizers is in sight.
Right here.
Risotto.
Three prawn.
Service, please.
They are ready to start the second round.
They're just waiting for the last appetizer.
But the dog show can't continue until the red team is also finished.
Come on, Frank, we're holding a dog show for your bloody caesar salads! Bro, it's a caesar salad.
This should be a no-brainer.
Come on, guys.
It's just a caesar salad.
Frank, we're waiting for a caesar salad.
How long do you think this is gonna take? It's 40 minutes into a special American kennel club dinner service.
The blue team has served all their appetizers They are really great.
But Chef Ramsay is determined to stick to his plan.
Frank, we're waiting for a caesar salad.
For the dog show to continue How long do you think this is gonna take? All appetizers must be served.
Move, Frank! - It's in my hand, Chef.
- La Tasha, move! And now everyone and their dog is waiting for Frank to get his act together.
Walking.
Thank you, finally.
What the [Bleep.]
just happened? Service, please.
With the salads finally delivered All right, now let's focus on helping the team.
Yeah.
Out in the dining room Let's welcome tonight's top three dogs.
The final round of the dog show is beginning.
The Lhasa apso, the golden retriever, and the Portuguese water dog.
But back in the blue kitchen Hey, stop.
All of you, come here.
Chef Ramsay seems like he has a bone to pick.
I don't know what happened there, whether that was a freak accident Oh, [Bleep.]
.
What did we do now? But that is the best 40 minutes we've ever done in any service.
Oh, thank you.
You communicated, and you worked for each other.
Is this a [Bleep.]
dream? Did Chef Ramsay just really compliment the blue team? Whatever it was, keep it up.
Yes, Chef! How old are we? He's only 12 months.
Keep it going.
Two wellington, two duck, two sea bass.
Yes, Chef! While Steve, on the meat station You got all the garnishes going, right, brother? And Fernando, on the fish station I'm gonna need at least five minutes.
Work to keep up the blue team's positive momentum, back in the red kitchen Away, two sea bass, two wellington, two salmon, four pork chop.
- Three minutes to the window.
- Let's go.
- Yes, Frank? - Yes? Help Roe with the garnish.
La Tasha continues to be a strong leader on the red team.
All your pork is in the oven now, right? I direct Frank to go over and help Roe on garnish.
Jennifer is good on fish station.
I'm gonna step over and help Sterling.
- You slice, run to the pass.
- Yes, ma'am.
This is gonna help us have a strong push.
And you know they want to announce the winner after the entree, so we got to go, yes? Yes, Chef.
Is this a boy or a girl? It's a boy.
- Frank, is this seasoned? - You gonna go with the four garnish first for the [Bleep.]
, okay? Go to the four garnish for the pork first.
Duck, we're doing duck next.
Yeah.
Doing you're going two duck first, two wellington.
Sterling's like, "okay.
Okay, yeah, I got it.
" Let me know when you're ready, okay? Two minutes, Sterling.
Let's go.
Yes, Chef.
- Take a deep breath.
- Yeah, I'm breathing, baby.
Breathe.
Don't slice your wellington until that garnish is in the pass.
Okay.
I refuse to let meat station go down tonight.
- Keep it calm and cool.
- Yeah.
Don't touch this pan.
It's nice and hot.
Santos! Santos! - Santos! - Yes, Chef? "Santos! Santos!" Stop just yelling my name.
Tell me what you need, and I'll be more than happy to cook it for you, bro.
Santos! Yes? The communication between Steve and Santos right now is like a bulldog over here Come on, Santos! And a chihuahua over here.
Two minutes.
The bulldog's going And the chihuahua's just like, "arf, arf.
" I can't have you yell at me.
How long? I'm ready in what, two minutes, Chef! Good, drive him then! - Santos! Santos! - Yes, Chef? Hey, Sade, get with him! Go over there.
I'm putting her next to you.
She's gonna tell you what's going.
What's next? Two bass, two two bass hold on, let her talk.
He's gonna [Bleep.]
rip at you again.
While Sade Two bass, two wellington, two duck.
Steps in to communicate for Steve.
- Santos! - Yes? Ahh! Santos! Over in the red kitchen I'm going with my four porks.
La Tasha has taught Sterling a valuable lesson I'm walking right behind you.
Wait, wait, wait, let her get the garnish up there first.
How to stay in sync with the rest of the team.
See, now he's slicing the pork.
They're working the pork dishes first.
We're pumping out that food.
Not really sure who to thank, Sterling or La Tasha.
We're good.
First pork, overcooked.
Dry and overcooked.
Sterling, what am I gonna have to do, go back and do it myself? Flashing another pork.
I got you.
While the red team waits for Sterling to refire the pork [Bleep.]
! On the blue side Come on, guys.
In spite of his communication challenges Two wellington, two duck.
Steve is delivering on the meat station.
Fernando, two sea bass? Walking.
Everyone calm down.
Don't [Bleep.]
with me and my meats.
Trust me, I know when they need to go out.
Service, please.
The balance is all there.
Straight after, two wellington, two duck.
Let's go, how long? I'm walking in 15 seconds.
- On what? - On? Two wellingtons, two ducks.
We now have to choose best in show, which I think is going to be very hard, but I do have a specific favorite.
Walking right now.
Walking, behind.
Thanks to a strong team effort Off you go, please.
Let's go.
Entrees are leaving the blue kitchen without any issues whatsoever.
Thank you.
The spinach is awesome.
But in the red kitchen, they're still waiting on Sterling's Pork, please.
Hot behind you, Chef.
Pork.
Two sea bass and two salmon.
How long? They're coming right now, Chef.
A beautiful color on there.
Yes, Chef! Wow, a compliment from Chef Ramsay.
A second of happiness and move along.
Service, please.
Entrees are now leaving both kitchens at a good pace How much longer is this gonna take? 'Cause we have a winner now, and we've been here for a long time.
But not good enough, because the plan called for all entrees to be delivered before the winner could be announced.
Two pork, one salmon.
How long? Two minutes.
Yeah, two minutes on that.
Judges, they reached their decisions.
- How long for main courses? - Yeah, two two minutes, sorry.
Come on, blue team, speed up! Okay, thank you.
Walking to the window right now, Chef! Hot pan, Chef.
Come on with the [Bleep.]
wellingtons! Behind.
Service, please.
Let's go, guys, last ticket.
Two sea bass, one duck, yes? Yes, Chef! How long? My last duck.
- Just please give me 20 seconds.
- Thank you.
Everything's going great right now.
Right behind you, Chef.
This is how it should be.
Thank you, you heard the man.
Two minutes? - Two minutes.
- Two minutes, thank you.
Garnish is [Bleep.]
.
Yeah, there's grease everywhere.
Mm, yes, Chef.
This is all greasy.
Santos, get another one fired.
Come on, [Bleep.]
finish this out.
This tastes of oil.
Come on, man.
You got it, let's go.
While Santos' garnish has put the brakes on the blue team's last table of entrees I just looked at the plate.
There's just grease.
Chef Ramsay looks to the red team Two pork, one salmon, yes? - I can go on that.
- Yes, Chef.
Hoping they can finish strong.
- Salmon garnish, yes? - Yes.
Walking.
We started off poorly, but we're gonna finish strong.
We are not going down tonight.
Service, please.
Behind, salmon.
Stop.
Back to the super dry pork again.
Sterling! So dry, it's wrinkly inside.
I've seen pork jerky with more moisture.
And it gets worse.
Taste that.
Oh, really? Damn it.
Damn it.
Touch that.
[Bleep.]
you.
I wouldn't even serve that to a dog.
Bland, [Bleep.]
bland, bland! What is going on? It's driving me mad! We're only moments away from announcing the winner.
It's over an hour into the first-ever Hell's Kitchen's dog show How much longer is this gonna take? 'Cause we have a winner now.
But the judges are waiting for both kitchens to complete their entrees before announcing the winner.
- So we got to go, yes? - Yes, Chef! Unfortunately for the red team, Sterling's pork I've seen pork jerky with more moisture.
Jennifer's salmon I wouldn't even serve that to a [Bleep.]
dog.
And Roe's cauliflower Bland! Have Chef Ramsay barking mad.
What is going on? It's driving me mad! We're only moments away from announcing the winner.
- Why? - Sat too long, Chef, needed to be fired sooner.
I have another one in the oven.
Got another one working? Good.
I can go two.
I got two pork chops, they're ready to go.
Pushing this garnish.
While Roe races to refire her cauliflower Let me know when your garnish is gonna walk.
All right, as soon as it's ready, I'll let you know.
The blue kitchen Service, please.
Has delivered their final entrees.
They have to announce the winner.
Please, welcome back our top three dogs.
The Portuguese water dog was nice.
Yeah, and the Lhasa was really cute.
All we have to do is sell this ticket, and we're home free.
Salmon, yes.
- Salmon's walking.
- Walk, walk, walk.
Two pork chops.
Service, please.
Go, come on, let's go.
Ladies and gentlemen, the winner and first-ever Hell's Kitchen best in show, Quatro, the Portuguese water dog.
Congratulations.
Hey, clear down.
Something happened, and it surprised me.
It was the first time that both kitchens performed well.
However, there was one kitchen that had the edge, and that winning team is blue team.
Well done.
Thank you, Chef.
Red team, it's unfortunate, but I need you to come up with two nominees for elimination.
Off you go.
Frank, something as simple as a salad, at this point, could send you home.
How far back did I put you guys with the salad? Frank, it's a [Bleep.]
caesar.
Bro, if you can't pull off the simplest dish we've ever made in Hell's Kitchen, how are you gonna do anything more difficult? I understand what you're saying, but I can't go back up there again.
I have no room for error right now.
This sucks so [Bleep.]
bad! I cannot go home right now.
Working with Chef Ramsay is my absolute everything.
We have to admit mistakes.
The only thing that I [Bleep.]
up was that last [Bleep.]
salmon 'cause garnish wasn't up.
Cauliflower.
You didn't even touch 'em.
It's like [Bleep.]
mush.
They weren't mush.
They were soft, but they weren't mush.
They was damn mushy when he gave 'em to us.
You knew better than to send them up there.
I messed up on the cauliflower, but Sterling is the weakest Chef.
Sterling, I appreciate the fact that you, like, welcomed my help.
I know that station was a beast.
But if Tasha had to carry him it was a team effort.
I did everything she told me to do.
I'm just trying to get you to how much you helped him and how much he did.
I think I did damn good on meats, personally.
So what are we gonna do? Oh, boy.
Blue team, great job tonight.
Thank you, Chef.
Red team, have you reached a decision? Yes, Chef.
Frank, first nominee and why.
First nominee is myself.
Um, the slip-up on the caesar salads.
Okay, second nominee, Frank, and why? Second nominee Um In the first-ever Hell's Kitchen's best in show, the blue team was top dog, and the red team was forced to nominate two for elimination.
Frank was their first choice, and Um Second nominee was Sterling.
He had the two overcooked pork chops.
Okay, Frank, Sterling, step forward.
Sterling, why do you think you should stay in Hell's Kitchen? I know I'm strong.
I'm built for this.
Why are you stronger than Frank? Man, my personality shows through it all every bone, every breath in my body.
I'm here to fight.
Frank, why do you think you should stay in Hell's Kitchen? I'm the strongest I've ever been since I've came came here and was trained by you.
I have the passion and the drive, everything that you want and need, I took I executed everything that you asked me to do.
I'm going to win this.
I will win this.
I'm going to be next to you in the end I have the passion and drive to do it.
I-I mean, for me to just keep on repeating those words, it's not that they mean nothing to me, it's I owe you more than you know, because you literally gave me a second chance, a third chance.
Stop.
My decision is Both of you Take your jackets And yourselves back in line, now.
Whew.
For the first time since you all entered Hell's Kitchen, truthfully Phew.
I'm satisfied with the performance I got from both teams, and that is why I decided not to send somebody home.
But All of you, the bar is much higher, because I know now that you can do it.
You got it, Sterling? I need to change my underwear.
[Bleep.]
.
Now, get out of here.
Thank you, Chef.
Oh, god! [Bleep.]
.
Thank you so much, Chef.
Wow! My heart was going, "wa-wah!" That really felt like it was just like in those cartoons where you used to see 'em shooting out of your [Bleep.]
chest.
You really said that, "change my drawers.
" [Bleep.]
, dude.
One thing I do have is faith, and you can't never have faith unless you get tested.
Mr.
100's here.
I got a lot of fight left in me.
Oh, man! No one is going home? Way to rock, man! Come on! There's still ten people standing in my way of becoming Gordon Ramsay's next head Chef.
Get 'em all out of here.
Tonight, I finally got a respectable service, so I gave them a little respect and didn't send anyone home.
Next time on Hell's Kitchen,
