House Husbands (2012) s04e06 Episode Script

Season 4, Episode 6

1 Mr Wickham will be permitted unsupervised weekly visits with Angela until the date of the custody trial, You'll see Rodney on your own once a week.
- Forever? - No, not forever.
We don't have many options.
I can't put my egg in a stranger.
You carry Kane's child? You cannot be serious.
I'm deadly serious.
- Are all the parents here? - Here.
- Here.
- Here.
I'm pregnant.
- Wow! You look great.
- I feel great.
I've got none of the morning sickness that I had with Tilda.
Now, we've got a bit of time before the kids wake up The lightbulb.
In the hallway.
I gotta change it.
- Now? - It's a safety hazard.
Lewis! Come back to bed! - I'm not tired.
- Get down! Oh Lewis! Are you alright? Yep.
- Have you done your back? - No, no, no, I'm fine.
You're gonna need to get that checked.
No, no, no.
Let's Just get Sam to pick up his toys.
What's up with him? World peace? Or the environment? - What about global warming? - Boring, boring and boring.
Pop, it's a public speaking competition.
You can't do your speech on the haircuts in One Direction.
Let Mum cut your hair, Pop.
- How long have you been up? - I haven't gone down.
Rachel wants me to finish this business plan by 10am.
Honey, you're supposed to be part-time, not at her beck and call 24/7.
You know, you really need to start standing up to her.
(SIGHS) Is Abi in? Kane and I have been dating for over a year, and it's been great.
That's why I'm here.
I-I would ask your father but he's in Adelaide.
And let's face it, if anyone's been a father figure in Kane's life, it's you You're going to propose! Well, you know, now that Gemma's having our baby, we'll be a family.
We should make it official.
If that's OK with you.
Hey! Where have you been? Getting breakfast.
I got croissants, strawberries, - raspberries, some other berry - I've already had my cornflakes.
I got those peach pastry things you like.
Go on, have one for bressert.
Bressert? - Breakfast dessert? - Yeah.
- Oh.
- (KNOCK AT DOOR) OK.
Morning.
Is Finn home? I've got something for him.
OK.
Come in Mason Gallagher? Mason has something he wants to give Finn, apparently.
Hey! Hey! Come back here! Are you OK? Have you two been fighting at school? I've never had any trouble from them.
People don't punch each other for no reason.
Yeah, they do.
Finn.
You can tell us.
Why did Mason hit you? Look, I know it's hard to talk about.
But if someone's giving you a hard time, you need to tell us.
Finn, has Mason been bullying you? - A bit.
- Any reason? No, don't stress.
It's not about the whole gay dads thing.
Well, what is it then? It's just what he does.
He's just a bully.
Come on.
I'll walk you into class today.
No! I can take care of myself.
- Are you alright? - Yeah, I'm fine.
He hurt his back.
- Have a good day, sweetheart.
Bye-bye.
- Bye.
- What happened? - Nothing.
Lewis hurt his back.
But he doesn't want to talk about it.
It was a bedroom-related injury, I take it? - No! It was in the hallway.
- Wow.
Nice work.
I'll be seeing you at the Year 3 and 4 public speaking competition tomorrow night, gentlemen? There's a speech writing bee in the library after school for those unprepared.
- Ooh, the happy couple! - Sorry? There's something that happened this morning - you'd like to tell us about? - How did you know? It better not be going around the school already.
It's good news, isn't it? How is Mason Gallagher walking into our house and punching Finn - in the face good news? - MEN: What? Is he OK? - He's being bullied.
- We don't know that for sure.
We haven't heard both sides of the story yet.
Well, there's his dad.
Let's hear it now.
Stay calm.
Whatever you do, don't be accusatory.
I won't.
- Hi.
Kane Albert.
- G'day.
- Finn's dad.
- Steve.
Mason's dad.
Oh, Mason and I have met.
- Have you? - Yes, this morning.
When he punched my son in the face.
That doesn't sound like something Mason would do.
- Wasn't me.
- Yes, it was.
We saw you.
We did.
- Hop off to class, Mase.
- Yeah.
Your kid must've hit my kid first.
It was self-defence.
Finn was defenceless.
He was eating his fricken cornflakes! Bullying is a very serious accusation.
We have proof.
Mason punched Finn in the face! And that's unacceptable.
But it could have been a one-off incident.
- And that makes it OK? - No.
But it doesn't make it bullying.
Bullying is repeated verbal or physical abuse.
I know what it is.
And so does Finn.
Why won't you believe him? Please don't worry.
I will get to the bottom of this.
Until then, let's all just keep a level head.
Yes, let's.
Make it quick.
I'm in a rush.
Yeah, the boys have this speech comp thing on tomorrow.
- Good for them.
- Yeah, Angie wants to go.
- Really? - Yeah.
She's really excited about it.
Angela is excited about public speaking? - Yeah.
- Yeah, nice try.
We'll we've got a court order.
Tomorrow's my day.
- We could swap days.
- Kids need routine.
Angela's new routine is she spends Wednesdays with me.
Let's not confuse things for her.
Well, then, you can bring her to the comp.
We've got plans.
Just make sure she's here by eight.
- You're late.
- Actually, I've been up since 2:00am.
Do you have the business plan? Ah.
- Who's Naylor and Naylor? - Our new company owner and his son.
The board of directors sold Goldkern six weeks ago, Mark.
- Try to keep up.
- I didn't know anything about this.
I must've made the announcement on one of your days off.
Anyway, the word is the new CEO has some major toe-cutting planned.
We need to stick together if we're going to keep our jobs.
Oh, hey, gonna need ten copies of that and a flat white.
Double shot.
Oh, sorry.
And a skinny latte.
This isn't the copy boy, Mark.
Meet Joshua Naylor, our new CEO.
- In there? - Oh! That's it.
Yeah, it's just muscular.
Nothing serious.
Should resolve itself in about a week.
But no heavy lifting or strenuous exercise until then, OK? What about sex? I probably should give that a rest for a while, eh? Sex shouldn't be a problem.
Can you tell Gemma it is? If you're having difficulties, I can prescribe you something.
No, no, no.
Nothing like that.
I'm good to go down there.
It's just I'm having trouble up here.
It's your brother.
His DNA is in my missus.
Gemma and I begin, but then I see Kane's face in my head and I can't go on.
Have you tried picturing something else? - (PHONE RINGS) - Oooh.
Excuse me.
Mark? We've got a new CEO.
He's 25, he drinks almond chai latte and he wants to sack me.
I'm sure he doesn't.
You're just sleep-deprived.
We're not allowed to take the lift, either.
Apparently, sitting is the new smoking.
He's very big on incidental exercise.
Yeah, well, he does has a point.
He's a child.
Speaking of which, Finn got punched in the face, and Alex didn't have a chance to pop the question.
Alex didn't propose? I've got to go.
Alex was going to propose? Who to? Kane! But you don't know that.
Because I'm not supposed to tell anybody.
I'll keep your secret if you keep mine.
You're going to have to talk to Gemma about this, eventually.
Yeah, I know.
Just give me a couple of weeks just to get my head around it.
Deal? Dad, were you really a famous footy player? - Because you're not in this book.
- You're doing your speech on me? We can't find anything.
Maybe instead of those books you should try the internet.
- No! - OTHERS: No! No, don't do that.
Look.
Here's a book on volcanoes.
Do your speech on them, they're way cooler.
Right? What's wrong with you, you're not cool enough? Yeah.
Something like that.
I can't stick around for long.
I've got to do a team-building exercise with Rachel and the new CEO.
Just ignore him.
Just pretend Mason isn't here.
Don't give him a reaction, that's what he wants.
Sorry.
The reference books have to stay in the library.
- That's the rule, is it? - Yeah.
But we contribute to the library fund but we can't use any of the books? Kane You can use them.
You just have to use them here.
- Everything OK here? - I'm handling it.
Oh, here he is.
The tit who had my son hauled into the principal's office.
I would've been happy with an apology.
He has nothing to apologise for.
- Are you kidding me? - Shhh! Guys, keep it down.
- This is the Book Nook.
- Yeah, well, we're done here anyway.
- Come on, mate, let's go.
- You can't take that with you.
What are you going to do about it? Who's going to stop me? No wonder your kid's a bully with a role model like you.
If your kid's as annoying as you, he got what he deserved.
- Kane! - LEWIS: Kane! Kane! Kane! What's going on here? My office, now! I'll calmly explain to Looby what happened and everything will be fine.
Great.
Can you explain to me what happened too? She's ready to see you two now.
- He started it! - He said you provoked him.
He is a liar and a bully, just like his son.
When I spoke to Finn today, he said that Mason isn't bullying him.
Of course he said that.
He's too proud to admit the truth.
Did you talk to his teacher? This is an ongoing investigation.
But that is no reason for you to take matters into your own hands.
Now, when I employed you at this school, I made it very clear that my decision was based purely on merit, not because you're my nephew.
Now, if I am seen - to let you get away this behaviour - It wasn't Alex's fault He looked very much involved from where I was standing.
It won't happen again.
If you are having trouble separating the personal from the professional, I would strongly suggest to you that you consider a transfer.
To another school? Deakin Heights Public is looking for a new librarian.
It's something to think about.
Kane got in a fight? Yeah, I think Finn's being bullied at school.
- Wasn't Kane bullied at school? - Of course he was.
So that's going to be a bit of a sore point for him.
You know what? I should do that.
Abi said that you should be relaxing for two weeks.
Yeah.
Yeah, you're right.
I should lay down soon.
How's Alex with all of this? He wasn't happy about it.
He was about to pop the question, and he Alex was going to propose? Yeah.
He was.
But you didn't hear that from me.
I promised Abi I wouldn't say anything.
Abi? - Yeah.
We had a deal.
- Oh, you had a deal? Oh.
Lewis Crabb, if you're keeping secrets from me, you better tell me everything or someone's gonna get hurt.
This department is already home to the premium brands in FMCG division.
But we can't rest on our laurels, we need to continue to improve our position in the marketplace - Stairs - Thanks for joining us.
- What's going on? - I was just walking Joshua through my business plan before we begin the team-bonding activity.
- YOUR business plan? - Mmm.
You told me the meeting was at 5:00.
- 4:30.
- You deliberately told me the wrong time and you didn't tell me we were being taken over! If you don't mind taking a seat, I'd like to finish my presentation.
What's all this? Well, I figured it's time we celebrated our new baby as a family.
And since Looby is family You thought you'd invite her over for dinner to butter her up.
It's worth a shot, isn't it? - Where's Finn? - He's in his room and won't come out.
Why? He's embarrassed Dad bashed up Mason's dad in the library.
I didn't bash him.
So much for celebrating as a family.
Hello? - Ah.
- Abi! That's a nice surprise.
Oh, you know, just thought I'd pop in, see how everyone's doing.
We're fine.
Nothing out of the ordinary, or unexpected happen? Nothing to change the course of where things were heading I know why you're here.
You heard about the fight.
- What fight? - Dad bashed up Mason's dad.
- Who's Mason? - The boy who's bullying Finn.
Don't use that word, please.
What's going on? Shall I set an extra place for Aunt Abi? - No! - Yes.
We all know the climate is tough, but if we stick to this go-to market strategy, Naylor and Naylor's future looks bright.
I had a question about the olive oil end to end campaign.
What's your ROI? Return on investment? I don't have the exact figures on me.
I focus on the bigger picture.
This is a question for someone less concerned about the broader direction of the company.
Mark? $10 gross profit per bottle.
Yes.
And what's the cost of acquisition? $300 per customer.
That sounds like a lot, but that'll halve over the first 12 months if we get an 80% conversion rate, which is a pretty conservative estimate.
- OK.
- Yeah, well, enough business.
On to the team bonding.
You're gonna love this! Is that? - Karaoke! - Karaoke? What are you thinking? Young people love it.
(SINGS) Looking in your eyes, I see a paradise This world that I've found is too good to be true Let the world around us just fall apart Baby, we can make it if we're heart to heart We can build this dream together Standing strong forever Nothing's gonna stop us now I just hope that we can put today behind us.
You attacked another parent in the Book Nook.
As his sister, I can say that was totally out of character.
It's just that, as a kid, - Kane had some - Custard? I'll be sure to pass on your character reference to the parents when I call in the morning, assuring them that Nepean South is still a safe environment for their children.
- You're calling parents? - It's a major incident, Alex.
There's a protocol to follow.
So two parents have a disagreement and that's a major incident? But a child is being bullied and it's just swept under the carpet.
I am yet to find any evidence to support your accusations.
I put in a call to the principal at Deakin Heights today.
The librarian position is still vacant.
Aunty Heather, we will do anything to make this right.
Please.
I really, really want to stay at Nepean South.
- It's a great school.
- Yeah, for some.
- Kane.
Don't.
- Why are you more worried about getting a transfer than getting justice for Finn? How is me working at another school an hour's drive away going to be good for Finn? At least then he won't feel like he's alone.
Yeah? Where is he now? Thanks to your outburst today, he's in his room, hiding.
Alone.
If he won't talk to us, we're never gonna find out what's really going on with him.
You don't believe him either.
You're on her side! I never said that OK.
This was delicious, but I am beat.
- Would you like a lift home? - Yes, please.
Great.
Thank you.
Abi.
Do me a favour.
Don't tell anyone what I asked you this morning.
Oh, you guys can work this out.
Just forget it happened.
Bye.
- What happened to the silk number? - These are warmer.
Clearly the silk is wasted on you.
No, it's not.
You know how much I want you.
It's just that I can't stop thinking about Kane's contribution.
You do know how IVF works? - I didn't sleep with him.
- Yeah, I know.
But he's still, you know - there.
- But what about Eve? Eve? Well, you don't think about Eve when we're in bed.
No, you're right.
I'm just being an idiot.
- Oh! - (LAUGHS) - Look out.
- Oh! See? - Oooh, that was quick.
- I know, I'm back.
- Oh.
- Lewis Crabb is back.
- Hang on.
- Wait, what? - You're thinking about Eve.
- No, I wasn't! - Oh - Come on.
I'm ready.
For me or for Eve? Goodnight, Lewis.
It was humiliating.
Singing an '80s power ballad in the office with the woman who wants me sacked.
Well, it gave me a certain clarity.
It's time to get a new job.
No.
We need that job.
Stand up for yourself.
Rachel has white-anted me so much.
I'll be lucky to have a job past lunchtime.
Buy your child CEO an almondmilk chai latte, sit down with him and set him straight.
Are you sure you didn't mention to anyone - that Alex was going to propose? - Yeah.
Why? Did you? I might've mentioned it to Lewis.
But it was kind of your fault! Hey, Angela.
Ready for a fun day? I've got some plasticine inside.
- Alright.
I'll see you at 5:00.
- Bye, Daddy! 5:00? 7:00.
I have her till 7:00.
Yeah, the speech comp starts at 5:00.
Just bring Ange and we'll do hand-over there.
I told you, we've got plans.
Hey, don't use Ange to get at me.
You think this is about you? I want custody for Angela's own sake.
I'm not here to make your life miserable.
You might have your new friends fooled.
But we both know who you really are.
You're the dad who didn't show up for birthday parties because he was out drinking for three days straight.
The dad with his photo in the papers, surrounded by strippers.
And one day, your kids are gonna find out who you really are.
Stella, can you pass the milk, please? I can get it.
Who slept on the couch last night? I fell asleep in front of the TV.
So unfair.
I never get to! Eat your toast.
Where are you going? - To school.
- We haven't finished.
- I'm catching the bus.
- But we always walk.
Go on.
Thanks.
If I go Deakin Heights, he's gonna have to get used to getting the bus.
They both will.
Are you changing schools? No, he's not.
- I'll fix this.
I promise.
- If it's not too late.
You ever thought about another woman, apart from Abi? What? You know, in your head, during - the act.
- No! - She'd kill me.
- How would she know? Oh, she'd know.
- Why? - No reason.
- Hey.
You seen Kane and Alex? - No.
Tell them I want to see them.
Now.
- Maybe she knows.
- What about? The fight.
(GASPS) Did you think about Eve? - No.
- Yes, you did.
Don't let Gemma find out.
- She knows? - Can we talk about something else? Alex backed out of the proposal.
What proposal? Well, Alex was going to propose to Kane.
Just don't let on that you know, OK? - Hey! - Hey! Hi.
- Hello.
- Eve's looking for you two.
Must be about yesterday.
Looks like she's not the only one.
Prick dad, 3:00.
- What's with the sling? - He's bunging it on.
I got us into this, let me get us out.
Trust me.
OK.
Thank you.
What happened to your arm? - You assaulted me.
- Your son assaulted mine first and Look, I'm sorry about what happened yesterday.
Things got way out of hand.
Let's just keep it between the boys and let the school look after it.
Nothing to look after.
I think you're a bit wrong Oi! - Dad, it's OK.
- No, it's not! Did you see that? - Boys will be boys.
- I was a boy.
I never kicked anyone's bag.
I never punched anyone.
Maybe you should've.
Maybe then you wouldn't have raised such a wimp.
Finn is not a wimp.
Then why are you fighting his fights for him? He's quite capable of fighting his own fights.
- Oh, clearly.
- Behind the bike shed, tomorrow morning.
Finn versus Mason.
We'll see you then.
Come on, mate.
Let's go, mate.
Have you lost your mind? Did you just organise a fight between two 11 year-olds? Mark.
- Rachel.
- On coffee duty again? Joshua liked his almondmilk chai latte so much yesterday, - I thought I'd get him another one.
- Keep it for yourself.
I've got this covered.
You lied to me, you stole my idea and you made me sing in public.
You are not getting Joshua his first coffee.
- Is that a challenge, Mark? - Yes, it is.
Fine.
You'll never catch me with those knees! Knee, singular! I've had one of them fixed! - Careful in those heels! - (THUD!) Rachel? Rachel? - Tough break.
- Bad sprain.
Ankle.
Chipped tooth.
Teeth.
- No, I'm not worried.
- No, she'll be alright.
No, I meant for the business.
Not if you're the one who did up that business plan.
Rachel made a contribution.
How big? Big-ish.
- We're a team.
- See, with any team, there's always one person who shoulders the weight, whilst others swan about, taking the credit.
Which is which here? Abi? What are you doing here? Oh, I am I just have to return this book.
It's really overdue.
See, Poppy started reading it but, um, it got a bit difficult so she put it down.
- Really? - But then she picked it back up and stuck with it and read it till the end.
And lucky she did, because the best chapters were still ahead.
Look, Kane is acting insane.
But it's not his fault.
He was bullied as a child.
And he doesn't want the same for Finn.
Why didn't he tell me that? He's embarrassed.
I guess he wants you to think he's perfect.
- But I already do.
- So you're not giving up, then? Thanks for looking after the boys.
They're never this quiet for me.
There are red frogs at stake.
Red frogs? Bribery.
Nice.
Dad, how do you spell preliminary final? What's that got to do with volcanoes, mate? The boys changed their speech topic.
Back to you.
They've been reading some old articles.
Off the Internet? I had a browse and printed off the child-friendly pages.
There mustn't have been many.
I found some interesting stuff.
But most of it was good.
You should give yourself more credit.
Your boys do.
They've been bragging about you all afternoon.
Thanks.
(PHONE RINGS) Abi.
Yeah.
Absolutely - I thought he wasn't gonna propose.
- Yeah.
He probably changed his mind.
- Hey! - Here he is, the man of the moment.
I asked you not to tell anyone.
Oh, these guys don't count.
Yeah, well, you did get one of us pregnant, - so you're part of the family now.
- Hey, good luck.
We'll be in in a second with some champagne.
Right.
No pressure, then.
Right.
Go get 'em, Tiger.
- Kane? - Come on.
Hit me! - Kane? - They're outside.
I have to stay in here.
Hit me again.
Come on, harder! Come on! Yes! Harder! - What are you doing? - We're training.
- What for? - Harder! - Yes! - Finn? Dad's making me fight Mason.
What? You organised this? Yeah.
Did you really just say yes? - Congratulations! - Congratulations! - Hey! - Hey, congratulations! On what? Nothing.
Is that a punching bag? Is the fight still on? - Another fight? - It's not happening.
But if I don't, I'll be called a wimp forever.
You're not fighting anybody! Go to your room now! - You're encouraging Finn to fight? - He goes to high school next year.
He doesn't have a big sister like I did to protect him.
- He needs to harden up.
- You sound just like Dad.
Yeah, well, maybe Dad was right.
Nice guys do finish last.
Finn getting his head punched in isn't going to change the fact that people were mean to you in high school! - Oh, you told him? - We've all got baggage, Kane! But don't you dare sort your crap out on our kids! I was going to ask you to marry me.
I wanted us to be a family.
But if this is your idea of what a family does to sort out their problems You don't deserve this.
You should've told me you had an anger problem.
You better nip it in the bud before she gives birth to our kid! Did I walk into the middle of something? Is this about the girl who's crying in Finn's bedroom? - Bettina Tkautz? - Gross.
Have they been kissing? OK.
You have to leave.
Don't worry.
She is.
She only came here to dump me.
How did Bettina get in your room? - The window.
- We're boarding it up.
She's chocolate milk girl.
Mason has been buying her chocolate milk every day for the last two weeks.
Until Finn started buying it a few days ago Oh.
- Chocolate milk.
- If you buy a girl chocolate milk from the canteen, it means it's serious.
So, Mason and Bettina were having chocolate milk together, until Finn and Bettina started having chocolate milk instead You stole Mason's girlfriend? That's why he punched you in the face.
This whole thing between Mason and you had nothing to do with being bullied? You lied to us.
You're grounded.
OK.
Your parents are on their way.
Come on.
Bye.
- Whatevs.
- Finn! - Don't be too hard on him.
- Yeah.
Yeah.
He's just had his heart broken.
I remember the first girl who dropped me.
Bridie O'Connor.
Chompers.
She had terrible buck teeth.
But I didn't care.
Marnie Johnson.
She was in Year 6.
I was in Year 4.
- Older woman? - Too old.
She dumped me for Todd McGinley because I wouldn't kiss her.
Anyway.
Point is, we all get dumped.
It's part of becoming a man.
When you find the right one, you'll know.
Then you've got to be careful not to stuff it up.
I think you owe someone an apology.
- I know.
I am so, so - Not me.
Quick, quick! Everyone in the car, please! - Have you got your cue cards? Lewis? - Yup.
We're gonna miss the speech - What's that? - Chocolate milk.
It's what you give a girl when you want her to know it's serious.
That she's your one and only.
It's just you and me in our bed, Gemma.
That's enough for me.
Always will be.
- I prefer strawberry.
- My mistake.
Will you forgive me? You do all the work.
It's about time you got some credit for it.
Tell your CEO the truth.
What's the worst that could happen? He'll promote me, probably give me Rachel's job.
And her salary? Go for it.
No, I can't go full-time.
You practically work full-time anyway - with all the overtime you're doing.
- No, I can't dob her in.
Oh, please.
She would throw you under a bus in a heartbeat.
No.
It feels dirty.
It's my fault she fell up the stairs.
I can't get her sacked as well.
Can I? So you're back on your feet? Atticus's father is on his honeymoon with his new wife.
So someone had to pick up our son from band practice.
Rachel, I need to talk to you.
I spoke to Joshua today and he wants to know Atticus, slow down, darling! Oh Thank you.
I don't know how I'm gonna cope.
Having Atticus full-time, on crutches, juggling endless dental appointments.
At least I have work.
It'll be my safe haven for the next few weeks.
My second home, really.
Sorry, what did Joshua want to know? He wanted to know who does the work.
You or me.
So he knows who to keep and who to let go.
And what did you say? I haven't said anything.
Yet.
Will you? Let's make a deal.
No more lying, no more backstabbing.
- No more karaoke.
- Or what? - I'll dob.
- I'll see you Monday.
I'll get the coffee.
The important thing is that Finn wasn't being bullied after all.
That's a terrific outcome for all involved.
And, of course, I am sorry for any inconvenience I may have caused over the last few days.
Now Alex thinks I'm the world's worst parent, which is bad timing because, A, Gemma is pregnant with our baby, and, B, - he was all set to propose.
- I know.
- You did? - I gave Alex the ring.
Your ring.
It belonged to my father.
I've never seen Alex so happy.
You and your children have given him something that he never had when he was growing up.
Alex had a tough time as a kid? Why do you think I took him under my wing all those years ago? Alex's father is a brilliant man.
But a troubled one.
And sometimes his temper would get the better of him.
- And he took it out on Alex? - Mmm.
I don't want Alex to change schools.
I don't want anything to change.
How can I fix this? There is one thing that you could do.
- Hi.
How long's this gonna take? - Oh, couple of hours, tops.
Good.
Think I might need an early night.
What's he doing here? Go say hi to your friends.
You made it.
Yeah.
Angela wanted to come, so I brought her.
You've gotta stop trying to make me out to be the bad guy here.
She likes spending time with me.
You've just gotta get used it.
Thank you, everyone.
If you'd like to take a seat, speeches are about to begin.
In 2009, my dad was the am am ambass ambassador.
Ambassador for the Children's Hospital.
He raised heaps of money for sick kids.
One year, he kicked six or more goals in ten rounds, - more than any other player ever.
- Close enough.
But best of all, we like it when Dad makes tacos.
Even if he puts too much chilli in them that makes us fart.
That's why our dad's a hero.
Thank you for listening to our speech.
(APPLAUSE) Thank you, boys.
Now, before we continue, we have a special guest speaker, one of our parents, talking on a very important topic today.
My name's Kane Albert and I'll be doing a speech on the dangers of bullying.
It may not seem like a big deal to tease someone in the playground.
But what you do or say now can stay with them for a long time.
I realise, though, that as bad as bullying is, there comes a time when you have to stop looking back.
Especially if you've got something really good to look forward to.
Now, I've made a big fool of myself this week.
But if it's OK with Miss Looby, I'd like to make a big fool of myself one more time.
But I'm not going to do it alone.
Finn, Stella, come up here, please.
This is embarrassing.
Consider it your punishment.
Now, we're not the perfect family.
And I'm not perfect myself.
But I reckon the two of us together can be better dads than ours ever were.
Mr Larden, will you be a family with us? Forever? Yes, I will.
Thank you for listening to my speech.
(APPLAUSE)
