[clears throat]
Jeromio died too soon.
[crying] I never figured out
how to monetize him.
[sobbing]
[hums] A nice cake to help Jeromio
celebrate being so great.

What's going on?
This is supposed to be a celebration.
It is. A celebration of Jeromio's life
because you know
[fly buzzing]
Guys, he's not dead.
He's just bummed about something
I haven't figured out yet.
[slurps, snorts, croaks]
- [fly buzzing]
- [tongue smacks]
[munching]
See, he's alive.
If you can call that living, huh, right?
Am I right? Huh?
Don't worry, bud. I'm here.
He might be a bit flatter
than usual, but he's fine.
So, we're not lighting the fire?
- [screams]

[Tony] Man!
[seagulls squawking]

I've never seen you like this before.

When I have anything wrong,
I try to move as many body parts
as possible to keep distracted.
[inhales deeply] Arms. Legs.

And head. [grunts]
[Thao humming, gasps]
Oh, my gosh! Wild thrashing!
What's wrong? Also, here's a package.
Oh, hey, Thao.
Those wild movements weren't for me.
I'm trying to cheer up Jeromio.
- Huh. He does seem flatter than usual.
- Right?
I don't know what's wrong.
I tried throwing him a party,
and I mean, he just
[grunts]
[groans]
I mean, I get it. I kind of hate parties.
Being the center of attention
can be overwhelming.
You can hate parties?
Yeah. One time, at my 11th birthday party,
my parents forced me
to do this ribbon dance routine
- in front of the whole town.
- That what's been bugging you?
- And I haven't spoken to them since.
- [croaks]
This can only mean one thing.
- You want alone time, like Bertie does.
- [groans]
[laughs]
- Hup!
- [clattering]
My bad. A little low.
- Almost there. Okay.
- [Jeromio croaks]
[object shatters]
- [Arlo grunts] There you go. Oh!
- [croaks] Huh?

[hopeful music plays]
[chirping]

[groans]
Hmm Must not be relaxing enough.
[chimes tinkling]
- Okay. I know what this is missing.

Halloween lights, for a little ambiance.
[chuckles]

This soft glow is going to look so nice.

[groans softly]
Still not relaxing enough?

[croaks]

[old-timey music plays]

- [croaking desperately]

- [groans]

In the middle of the night ♪
- [croaks sadly]

- [croaks loudly]

- [croaking]
If that didn't cheer you up,
what could you possibly want?
[croaks desperately]
Oh! Duh! It's obvious.
I know what's wrong.
[croaks] Huh?
You don't want to relax,
you want some excitement.
[deflates]
Of course. I should've guessed earlier.
You want some thrills.
Why don't we go hang gliding off a cliff,
and we can land
on top of a horse that's running.
We can ride the horse off a cliff.
Though that's dangerous.
But if the horse had a helmet
that'd make it a bit safer.
Where would I find
a horse-sized helmet?
[croaks]
Maybe we could borrow
a helmet from Furlecia.
Ribbit.
[whooshing]
[suspenseful music plays]
Ribbit.
- [screams]
- [clatters]
[seagull squawking in distance]
[croaks]
Don't tell her this,
but her head's big like a horse.
[chuckles] What
- Jeromio? Jeromio?
- [exciting music plays]
Jeromio!
Jeromio, wait!
You're not wearing a helmet!
Safety is very important!
Jeromio, where are you going?
[tongue smacks]
[slurps]
[smacks]
[glass squeaking]
[truck honks horn]
[glass squeaks]
- [screams]
- Hey!
Ribbit.
- [truck horn blares]
- Jeromio!
- What's up? I'm Jeromio. Who's asking?
- I'm also Jeromio.
That may be my surname, who's asking?
Oh, sorry. I'm looking for my frog.
Slimy, smells like spoiled cheese.
He looks like that!
[croaks]
- Buddy, come back! Wait!
- [bell dings]
No, where are you going?
I thought we were gonna go hang gliding!
Excuse me, officer.
I need to report a missing frog!
- Um, what? I'm not a cop.
- [baby coos]
He got on a bike,
and now he could be anywhere.
If it was a rental bike,
they might be in the park down the block.
Thanks, officer I mean, ma'am.
How did he know we're police?
Ugh. Call off the sting.
Our cover is blown.
- Jeromio!
- [truck honks horn]
- Jeromio?
- [sad music plays]
Where are you?
- [sniffs] What'd I do wrong?
- [siren wails in distance]
[sniffles]
Excuse me. May I?
Thank you. It's been a rough day.
[blows nose] I think I lost
one of my best friends in the world.
Hold on! He didn't die or anything.
He's just really sad lately.
I thought I knew Jeromio
like the back of my gator claw.
We grew up together,
and he's always been there for me.
What kind of friend am I
if I can't make him happy?
Sorry for rambling.
I feel a little better already.

I guess sometimes
you just need someone to really hear you.
[music brightens]
What is that look for?
Oh! Oh, I get it.
You think all this time
Jeromio wanted me to listen.
I was so caught up
trying to come up with answers,
I forgot to hear what the problem was.

[croaks sadly] Swamp.

[snorts, croaks softly]

but it's pretty nice, don't you think?
[croaks curiously]

I miss it, too. And Edmee.
I wonder what she's up to right now.

out here in the swamp.
