Luring the Enemy

1
[wind howling]
[narrator] It's been 20 days
in the cold Alaskan frontier.
Eight players across three teams remain,
but Team Bravo is now a team of one,
which is not permitted.
So, if Javier can't join one
of the other two teams, his time is done.
[Amber] Javier's last-ditch effort.
- Yeah.
- The flailings of a desperate man.
- You don't think he'll come here?
- He's not. He'd be ignorant to come.
[Javier] There is no amount of money
that can convince me
to join the demon squad.
So, in the event that the team
across the river doesn't accept me
my time is done.
[narrator] As Javier makes
the eight-kilometer hike
around the river to Charlie,
Alpha Team seizes the opportunity
to raid his camp.
I'm not gonna feel guilty about it
'cause this horrible guy
does not need to be on this side
of our island anymore.
We don't want anything to do with him.
[flames crackling]
[Amber] What the [bleep]?
If people didn't think he was psychopathic
before now, they will.
[Amber] So, he just burned his shelter,
and there's no supplies.
[Justin] There's no coming back.
Is he in there? Could we get that lucky?
Paul and I have made a deal
with the Operation Hootie Hoo
[Paul] The Hootie Hoo.
Operation Hootie Hoo.
to get rid of Delta and Bravo.
And once there are only two teams left,
we go back to a respectful game.
If Charlie takes him, then they're stupid
'cause their shelter
could be set on fire next.
However, if for some incredibly
ignorant reason,
Charlie wants to take Javier on,
we will come after you.
You do not [bleep] with Alpha.
All we have to do
is wait for that petty person
to get a smack of reality.
[Amber] Good will prevail here. It will.
[Javier] I will be coming to the team with
all the tools Brian and I started with.
I'm also gonna give them an offer
that they really can't refuse.
[Paul] What's happening?
- [Nick] What's happening?
- [Seth] What's going on, stranger?
My name's Javier, and I'm from Ohio.
My goal now is to just make sure
that the demon squad
doesn't have a chance to win this.
You don't know me,
and I know you guys grew together closely,
but I'm coming here to plead.
If you could have me on your team,
if for anything,
to allow me to enact revenge
and defeat them
because it was personal.
They made Brian, my buddy, leave.
And then they ransacked my shit
and stole shit from my campsite.
There is strength in numbers.
I would just love for them to be defeated.
Then, if you want me gone,
I'll shoot the flare
and leave you four to win.
But please, let me join forces with you
and defeat them.
[suspenseful music playing]
[theme music playing]
[Justin] I'm here to play the game.
I'm here to win.
[wind howling]
[Angie] Do you mind if we talk?
- Is that okay?
- Sure. Cool.
All right. Give us two seconds.
Yeah. Yeah.
[tense music playing]
- [Paul] Gotta be careful with this one.
- [Nick] Listen.
I think I teach argument.
That was the best argument
I've ever heard in my life.
So here's my thing.
I'll support whatever y'all want to do,
but I don't wanna bring
another dynamic into this four.
Unless it's game-ending.
We saw that he's not lying.
You saw that he's not lying.
You guys saw that he's not lying.
[Paul] Javier, hats off to that man.
He's a survivor.
But Jill and I formed the alliance
to dismantle Delta and Bravo.
So, there is loyalty there
that we have to think about.
Our minds are in different places.
We have contingency plans
for our contingency plans.
Hey, everything together.
[narrator]
Charlie Team has reached a decision.
[Nick] Javier.
[Angie] Okay, so,
you know, we did talk about it
and, um, we feel so bad
for everything that happened to you,
and we want to exact revenge
for you and for Delta
for what Alpha did,
and we don't want them to win.
But unfortunately, as far as our camp,
we don't want it to grow any further.
[Paul] We feel for him.
We'd love to help him out.
We don't wanna bring anyone in
that would piss off Alpha
because we know
what that team's capable of,
and if we took Javier on,
it could get pretty nasty.
Gotta be a hard no. Sorry, man.
It's rough.
- [Paul] I'm sorry, man. We really are.
- Yeah. Okay, guys.
[Seth] Sorry it's all like this.
I really do feel bad, brother.
I really do.
[Javier] Okay, cool, man.
- Take care.
- [Angie] We wish you well.
- Good luck.
- [Seth] Thanks, Javier.
[tense music playing]
[Javier] I always wanted
to win this out of skill.
That I could
actually survive off the land.
But maybe I was naive.
[intense music playing]
[Javier] I could spend weeks,
if not months,
re-evaluating this in my head
and thinking I could have done
something different.
But I'm done with doing "what ifs."
[intense music rising]
The prettiest flare I've seen so far.
[Javier] I have peace in my mind,
knowing I played this game
honorably, respectfully, and fairly.
And unfortunately, my time is done.
- We made a good call on that.
- Good call on that one.
Every plan that we have done, we have
stuck to, and it has worked in our favor.
We can't falter.
Let's grab this gear and get back inside.
[narrator] After 20 days,
there are only seven players
across two teams left in the game.
[insects chirping]
[Paul] Do you know anything about Jill?
She is an absolute badass.
I think she'd be
a strong team member to have.
- [Nick] Yeah?
- For real.
I'm all for it. I just wanna do it
as fair as possible. You know?
Now that Delta and Bravo are gone,
I think I got a good layout
of how we can divide Alpha
and eventually end this thing,
and that's Jill.
What if we were to get Jill away?
Make them suffer?
- Because if we could secure Jill
- [Angie] Then this game's done.
[Seth] That game's over.
- We can go home, eat a burger, drink beer.
- Yep.
[Paul] I know Jill
is the strongest one on that team.
She has a skill set to match with ours,
and it would definitely be,
you know, a bonus to have her here.
But if it means that we can end this game,
and come out victorious,
and go home and see our families,
we should try to make it happen.
I mean, I'm all for it.
[Paul] Need to feel her out.
Let's slow roll this.
- [Seth] Chess not checkers.
- Yeah.
[wind blowing]
[Jill] Something ate a big old crab. Look.
[Amber] God, that looks delicious.
It's empty.
So, Jill is trying to make her way
to this other bank.
This is our next step. Meet with Jill.
- Okay.
- [Paul] See what she's thinking.
- All right, guys, I'll be back.
- All right, good luck.
All right, dear.
I will try to be back by dark
because I do not have any light.
Mwah!
I will have a fire and food ready
when you get back, dear.
[Jill] Of course you will.
Paul and I have a plan to meet up
'cause we've accomplished our mission
to get rid of Delta and Bravo.
So now, we have to discuss
where we're going from here.
[Paul whistling]
We're hoping that deal's our trump card.
That's the end-all game.
But I will tell you that
we're not 100% depending on it.
We're wanting that to happen
and preparing for the opposite.
Good morning.
[Jill] Hey, buddy.
How are you doing?
[Jill sighs]
All right, so, you're welcome.
We got rid of Delta for you.
- Thank you.
- [Jill laughs]
[both chuckling]
I'm pretty sure that the plan was
we'll get rid of Bravo,
you get rid of Delta.
- I didn't know that was gonna happen.
- [Paul] It just
- It worked out, right?
- Yeah.
All we had to do is sit back and watch.
It just unfolded. Y'all went nuts.
[laughs]
[Paul] Well, now it comes
to the next point of business.
- Yep.
- There's room for you on ours, now.
Oh, okay.
What do you think
that's gonna do for the game?
- It's gonna end it quickly.
- Yeah.
If you love being here three or four
more weeks, until somebody starves out
- I don't.
- then we can play this game to the end.
Um, Amber and I have a very strong union.
[Paul] It's sad that there's not room for
One more.
I even got your bed made.
I have your bed ready.
- Paul.
- [Paul] I do.
It's a means to shorten the game.
You get to do what you want.
I get to get a house for my kids.
They all have their own things, but
[crying] I hate to do that to my team.
[Paul] I understand. I understand.
- Hey, I'm just telling you the options.
- [sobbing] I know. I want to be there.
I have to think about myself.
[voice breaking] At the end of this thing,
I want all three of my Alphas
to stand on this bank,
screaming in victory for our win.
But it just might not happen that way.
[intriguing music playing]
That's another reason why
I have to keep that Charlie card close.
As unfortunate as it is,
I will not go home without a win.
Why do I feel like
that would make me a traitor?
Well, I left D, and I don't feel
like a traitor. I left for a reason.
Oh boy.
I've got to set my heart aside
for a few minutes.
And right now, it's still
It's pretty open with feelings.
And I've gotta take those out
of the equation to make this decision.
Well, the option's open to you.
If you wanna do it,
we want to meet tomorrow.
I can tell you either way,
we're still gonna play a fair game.
Yeah, us too.
- Okay.
- Yeah, I swore to you.
I'm just kinda throwing it out there
that there's a way to get it quicker.
[sighs]
- I definitely wanna come back tomorrow.
- Okay.
[tense music playing]
- I will see you tomorrow.
- I will see you tomorrow.
Tell everyone I look forward
to seeing them as well.
- See you.
- See ya.
[helicopter blades whirring]
[intense music playing]
[narrator] Paul and Jill have returned
to their respective camps.
That's it.
[narrator] And Jill's
game-altering moral dilemma
[Jill] Oh my gosh,
is it finally a freaking drop?
is drowned out
by the sound of a helicopter.
Dude, that looks like
an even smaller package.
[Justin] No one likes a small package.
- No one likes a small package.
- [Jill laughs] That's funny.
[narrator] This drop offers a risky
mission with the possibility of a reward.
[Paul] "Salmon are reaching
spawning grounds."
"Find the lake north
where fish are plentiful."
"Take as many people as you can
to secure as many fish as possible
before winter sets in."
"Food sources are diminishing fast."
[narrator] Both teams now have
a handful of fishing lures
and coordinates to a fishing hole
rumored to spawn trout and coho salmon.
With fishing season nearly over,
this may be their last shot
to stock up on protein
before winter sets in.
[Nick] That's our bear.
That's our lake, right there.
[narrator] If they choose
to accept this mission,
they will have to expend their time,
energy, and precious calories
on a grueling hike.
[Seth] A lot of calories.
A lot of calories to burn.
We don't have a choice. We have no food.
[narrator] Their fishing skills
will be put to the test,
and there's a high possibility
that they won't catch anything.
But we have to be able to plan for success
'cause winter is definitely approaching.
[Paul] All we can do is prepare,
and the rest is up to the fishing gods.
[Nick] Yeah.
[narrator] The mission starts tomorrow
- We're gonna see.
- There's a lake to the north.
which means Jill's plans
to meet up with Charlie,
and possibly cement her spot
on the team, must be postponed.
It's gonna be face-to-face
with the other team, all of us.
[Justin] Absolutely.
[Amber] Very interesting.
[Jill] So, in order
to guarantee myself a win,
I'm attempting to merge over into Charlie.
Now, all that has to be put on hold.
Let's look at the map.
You got all the goodies?
- [Amber] Yep.
- [Justin] Yep.
[Jill] I'm a little frustrated, you know,
'cause there's a constant battle
with trying to survive
and trying to play this game
because we are starving.
And now, the plan
is to wear ourselves out on another hike.
[wind howling]
[narrator] It's Day 23.
[Angie] [bleep] I'm cold.
[narrator] Charlie Team is on their way
to the fishing coordinates
outlined in yesterday's supply drop.
[Angie] Careful with the sticks.
[Nick] Want me to break those branches?
[Seth] No, brother, I think I got it.
[narrator] The five-kilometer hike is
a threat to their calorie-depleted bodies
with no promise of a reward.
[Nick] I really hope
that we can catch fish over there
because I am in starvation mode.
I think I'm roughly losing a pound a day,
so I really try to restrict my activity.
And the risk versus reward of taking
that energy dive, it's a scary factor.
[Angie] Jesus Christ.
- I'm just getting caught up on everything.
- [Seth] Mother [bleep].
[wind howling]
[narrator] In another area of the map
[Amber]
Oh, we gon' be eat'n good tonight ♪
Alpha Team is making their way
to the same designated fishing hole.
[Amber] Fryin' fish tonight ♪
[Jill] Holy shit!
Oh my God.
- [Justin] Bear print?
- [Amber] Yes.
Look at how big those are!
It's like seeing a Sasquatch footprint.
[Jill shudders]
[Amber] It's a big boy.
- Or girl.
- Puts things in different perspective.
- [Amber] Yeah.
- [Jill whimpers]
[Nick] Well, boys and girls, this is it.
[narrator] Since Charlie Team is the first
to arrive at the fishing hole
- [Angie] Let's do it.
- [Nick] Let's do it.
they have the first pick
of where to drop their lines.
We just gotta get some protein
and some fat.
I've not eaten
in the last three or four days.
It's wearing on all of us, you know.
Our body is eatin' itself.
But if it comes down to it
and Jill doesn't come,
we have to be ready to sustain for weeks.
So, it's important to get those fish.
[narrator] With only some fishing line
and a few lures provided to them,
they must learn to adapt without the tools
most fishermen have come to rely on.
I made a couple of cane poles
and fashioned some fishing hooks.
So, we'll see how that plays out.
[Paul] Got one.
Fish on. Big fish, come on.
Bring the net.
[Angie] Oh [bleep]!
- [Paul] Get the net.
- [Seth] I'll get it.
[Paul] It come off.
- [Angie] Oh damn!
- [Seth] It fell off?
[Paul] Yes, it came off.
[narrator] This expedition
is not only a chance
to gather some much-needed protein
to fuel them for the approaching winter
[Amber] Alrighty, guys, we got
our neighbors from across the bay.
- [Jill] Yeah.
- [Amber] Right here?
Obviously, Charlie beat us here.
[narrator] it's a chance
for the two remaining teams to mingle
and size up their competition.
I guess if we want to socialize, we can,
but maybe we should catch
a bunch of fish first?
- [Amber] Yeah.
- [Justin] Yeah.
[Amber] Ah!
Oh, they're gonna scare the fish.
Ugh!
Too far.
Ah!
They're not gonna catch any fish.
[Paul] We just got to be patient.
These fish move around this lake.
[banjo music playing]
[Seth] Oh, fish on! Get the net!
[Paul] I got it. I got it.
[Seth] Tell you when to stop.
- [Nick] Stop.
- [Paul] Stop. Stop. Stop.
[Paul] [bleep] goddamn it.
[Nick] Landed.
Woo!
Yours truly was the first to catch a fish.
It wasn't the biggest, but the first.
- I gotta kiss that mother [bleep].
- Kiss it.
[Jill] To start out that morning
watching Charlie Team over there
catch the first fish
[exhales]
- [Angie] Fish on.
- [Jill]and then the second, I was mad.
[Nick] Net, net, net!
- [Angie] Get him! Bring him in!
- [Paul] You gotta pull him up!
[Angie] Woo!
- Baby!
- [Seth] There you go.
It hurts to admit
that Charlie may be stronger than we are.
[Angie, laughing] Yes!
[Nick] You got her.
First fish in Alaska, baby.
I got one.
[laughs]
[Jill] I have to get in some sun.
- Right? I'm waiting for it.
- [Jill] Yeah.
They're not in this shady water.
- [Paul] Oh, fish on.
- [Nick] Fish on.
- [Angie] Hell, yeah. Keep going.
- [Seth] You got it?
[Nick] We got him.
- Wanna kiss him?
- [Paul] Hell, yes.

- [Angie] Woo! Baby, another one!
Gimme that baby. I love you.
[banjo music playing]
[grunts]
Well,
you got any fish, Justin?
[Justin] No, not yet.
[Jill] It's stupid. It's so stupid.
This gear sucks.
We have no sun on our side.
I just refuse to stand over there
and watch somebody else
do something better than me.
Nobody does anything better than me.
I don't know how to play second.
I've fished tournaments.
Sponsored.
I have my own boat.
I'm going to get this job done.
[Seth] I don't know about y'all,
but my stomach's growling.
[Angie] Fish is almost done.
Are they gonna

Here. That is delicious.
That was good, right?
That's, like, buttery. [chuckles]

Hello. I would like to eat you.
Mwah!
Epic.
Look at that guy!
Woo-hoo-hoo!

[Justin] Hell, yeah.
Oh my God!
[narrator] The sun starts to set,
reminding the teams
that they must pack up their things
and make the long journey
back to their camp before it gets dark.
Charlie Team caught a total of 12 fish,
mostly brook trout
in the five-to-eight-pound range.
[Paul] Both teams had a great day.
The fish coming, we knew we would eat.
I just wish it could've just kept going.
But that day is gone,
and you have to think about strategy.
[Jill] What an awesome day!
Jill would be
a great team member, for sure.
Woo!
If I go to Charlie, I could bring
over my fish and win this game.
But it's my choice, you know?
It's a lot on my shoulders right now.
[narrator] Alpha
caught three coho salmon,
each weighing between 18 and 20 pounds.
In the end, both teams have caught
enough protein to sustain them
for up to a week,
depending on how
they preserve the fish and ration it.
[wind howling]
[Jill] Yummy, yummy?
[Amber] Yummy, yummy.
[narrator] Alpha

Alaska will provide, and so she has.
[Seth] All right, everybody,
y'all wanna say bye?
- Good night.
- Bye.
[gentle, upbeat music playing]
[narrator] It's Day 24.
- [Paul] All right, you ready?
- Yeah.
[narrator] Charlie Team is building
a smoker using repurposed crab traps.
- That where we want it?
- Think so.
[narrator] This will allow them
to cure their fish,
extending its shelf life indefinitely,
until it runs out.
- Wonderful.
- That'll work.
- You like, I like.
- I love it.
[narrator] While last night's fish feast
has given most of the team
a renewed source of energy
Oh [bleep].
[narrator] it has had
the opposite effect on Angie.
[Paul] You all right, Ange?
[Angie] I'm in so much pain.
Aw, it hurts so bad.
Last night we ate,
and I started feeling my stomach,
like, just moving around.
I was like, I think I'm gonna
have a bowel movement
'cause I haven't had one
in 24 [bleep] days.
[tense music plays]
It was just hurting all night,
and then this morning, it just got worse.
[groans]
If you need help, let us know.
[Paul] Angie, she's a warrior.
She's tough.
We've been here 24 days,
and she hasn't used the bathroom.
[Angie] It hurts so bad.
[Nick]
I hate seeing you in pain like that.
[Paul] And last night,
she was just going to town,
and she ate a whole lot, and I think
it was just too much at one time.
- Anything I can do?
- [crying]
[narrator] Angie's bowel obstruction
puts her at a severe risk of perforation,
a life-threatening condition
in which a hole is torn in the intestine
and the contents leak out,
contaminating the bloodstream.
It's [bleep] scaring me right now
'cause I don't wanna leave.
[narrator] She could go into septic shock,
causing organ failure and even death.
Angie's tough mentally
and she's tough emotionally.
But, you know,
physically, what can you do?
Ooh.
Yeah.
[narrator] Because of the clear danger
of Angie's condition
Oh God, no.
the show's producers step in
to take her to get medically evaluated.
[Paul] You'll be back.
It's just a quick look.
[bleep] empty me and let me come back.
- [Nick] You gotta get taken care of.
- [Paul] You need help up?
I love you guys. Yeah.
[Nick] I don't know what's going on with
her body, and we don't have medicine here.
If Angie doesn't come back,
it would really kinda be crushing.
[Angie] Okay.
[exhales]
I'm just in so much pain, dude.
I'm in so much pain.
I just need to get checked out
and see what's going on.
Whatever happens today, I'm just proud,
and I'm happy to be here.
- Love you guys.
- [Seth] Love you too.
[Paul] See you in a minute.
[Angie] Oh my God.
[narrator] Angie is being taken
to a medic boat offshore.
If she is able to make a recovery,
she will be given the opportunity
to return to her team.
But the game will continue
in the meantime.
She'll be back.
- She'll be back.
- Yeah.
[narrator] Alpha Team's latest challenge
is to make sure
their 30 pounds of fish doesn't spoil.
Today is processing day.
So, I am making a drying rack
to smoke this fish.
Because if we don't, we'll lose it all.
Mm.
[Amber] For breakfast,
we have some nice roe.
- What do they taste like?
- [Amber] All right.
Okay, I'll do it. [giggles]
We have all this food now,
but so does Charlie Team.
And that will drag this out longer.
Not bad, right? It's good.
- No.
- [Amber] Taste all the nutrients?
There's definitely a voice in my head
telling me to leave Alpha
and join Charlie.
Of course it'd be heart-sinking,
and the guilt so burdenous.
But I would win because I don't think
that Alpha can make it without me.
- [Jill] That'll work, won't it?
- [Amber] That'll work.
We'll get a fire going
and start smoking fish.
Yeah.
My heart is very happy today.
Catching salmon yesterday was amazing.
And it's another skill that I've acquired
because of my teammates.
[Jill] If you make you
a little bird's nest, move up in sizes.
[Amber] Yeah.
But be patient, don't choke it out.
I know. I keep doing that.
Could I have done this experience
up to this point on my own?
No. I'm a recovered heroin addict.
I'm a felon.
I'm a survivor.
But I'm not a survivalist,
until I met Jill.
Look at that fire. I'm so proud of you!
[Amber] Yes, I'm so grateful for you!
This whole time,
Jill has been in the driver's seat.
And her friendship and our connection
has been probably one
of the most unexpected blessings
of this entire experience, thus far.
[Jill] I love it
when a plan comes together.
[Amber] Dude, that looks amazing.
Oh my God, yes.
[wind blowing]
[narrator] It's Day 25.
Charlie Team smoked their fish overnight
and now has an abundance of trout jerky.
[Paul] We need to get our girl back now.
[Seth] I hope it's not much longer.
[narrator] But morale is low
[exhales]
as they're missing their teammate Angie.
[helicopter blades whirring]
[Nick] Guys, chopper!
[narrator] The sound of a helicopter
- [Paul] Oh no.
- [Seth] Goddamn it.
[Paul] That's not good.
[narrator] signals the news
they've been waiting for.
There it is.
[Paul] Normally,
when we hear a helicopter,
we're rushing out, we're excited.
But Angie's out with the medical team.
So, yeah, it's concerning.
[suspenseful music playing]
[Paul] It's you, brother. You read it.
- Oh, it's handwritten.
- [Seth] Yep.
- Oh [bleep] me.
- Man.
"First things first, I love you guys."
"I couldn't have had a better team."
"I feel so honored
to have caught so many fish with you."
"Give Alpha hell,
never give up,
and take that chance to win."
"Shoot my flare with pride, boys."
[narrator] After being evaluated,
it was determined
that Angie shouldn't continue the game.
That's tough.
[Nick] This is it. This is goodbye Angie.
Truth be told, when we came out here,
Angie, I was totally unsure of.
But without her presence, I don't think
we'd have lasted this number of days.
Angie's like our little sister.
She's our entertainment.
She's our loudmouth.
- So, that was rough.
- Let's get it for her.
Let's shoot her flare.
- I'll shoot it.
- I'm not touching that.
Me neither.
On one hand, I am so heartbroken
that I want to win it for her
and honor that presence of her space.
And on the other hand,
it's kind of a devastating blow
'cause, like, it can happen to anyone.
[emotional music playing]
[Justin] A flare just went off.
- No, it did not.
- [Justin] Yes, a flare just went.
- [Jill] Are you kidding me?
- Somebody from Charlie tapped.
One down.
- You saw a flare. Like, for real?
- Yes.
Yes, just now.
Look, the smoke's still in the air.
That means somebody else tapped.
Now, it's three to three.
[Amber] I'm just trying
to see where Who's
- See, don't worry.
- Even game board!
Don't worry. We got this.
- Woo!
- You're on the team, baby.
Alpha Team!
I had a feeling that was gonna happen.
I mean, when she said
that it had been 24 days
Anything like that pain
is just unbearable.
Yeah, she was a fighter.
I mean, she made it out of here.
She was doubled over for a while.
Angie gave it hell since day one.
If anybody deserves to win, it was her.
I think it just goes to prove
that anything can happen,
and tap outs are a thing
that's very real to us right now.
- A moment of silence for Angie?
- For sure.
[Seth] We're all feeling it.
We're at a point where you need more
than fish to come back from.
We wanna end this thing, get the money,
and get back to our families.
Love you, Ange.
- Love you, Ange.
- Love you, Ange.
[Nick] So, we gotta start thinking
about the Jill thing.
I'm not writing off Angie.
We're still mourning,
but, like, we need to talk
about quickly getting her here
and showing her that we can provide.
She knows a team of four
is stronger than two.
[Nick] Oh, yeah.
So, we need to make contact
sooner than later.
Yeah.
[Seth] As far as Alpha,
if we take one of their teammates,
I don't think they'd have
much longer left in them.
So, we want to take the head of the snake,
and hopefully it pays off for us.
[narrator] Charlie Team has agreed to
continue the recruitment effort with Jill.
- Hey, I thought of something.
- [Paul] What's that?
[narrator] Their next hurdle
is figuring out how to get her attention
without alerting her other teammates.
Message in a bottle?
No, how about a note
tied to an arrow and let it fly?
Ooh, even better.
I'll shoot it across the river.
So, we wait for low tide,
get her attention.
- We do it tomorrow. Make our move.
- [Paul] Early morning, go get mussels.
Yep.
It's gonna have to be super early,
if they're even out.
All right. Well, that's the plan.
All right, fellas, that's the game plan.
Flaming arrow, Robin Hood style.
[atmospheric music playing]
[narrator]
Both teams turn in for the night.
For the first time since week one,
the playing field is completely even,
as the two remaining teams
have the same amount of players.
As the sun rises into Day 26,
Charlie Team finalizes their note to Jill.
I'd probably just say,
"Jill, nothing's changed on our end."
"Let's do this today."
[Nick] Once we did have word
on Angie not continuing,
the next most logical plan
was to take Jill.
I'm the one that's probably
had the least amount of contact with Jill,
but I trust my team
and their intel and gut feeling on this.
If she's doing all the work,
like they say,
then that's it, man, game, set, match.
We go home.
And we win it.
That's our ticket.
[Seth] Let's do it. Get it over with.
[narrator] Charlie Team heads to the shore
to see if they can spot Jill
across the river.
[Seth] Get a look over there.
[Paul] Someone walking from camp
with a bow and arrow.
[Seth] It looks like Justin.
[Justin] Low. Shot right underneath him.
Yeah, that's Justin.
[Seth] Right there, right there.
Come on, Katniss.
[Jill] What the hell?
- [Paul] Good morning.
- [Jill] Good morning.
[Paul] Will you throw my arrow back?
[Jill] Yeah, I can.
I saw Charlie down there on the beach.
I got your arrow.
They shot an arrow
across to my side with a little note.
It was addressed to me,
and it was luring me over to Charlie.
Come over with us.
[Jill] I'm kinda in a big predicament.
[Nick] We really wanna have
a good talk with you.
It's hard to do it across the river.
[Seth] Dude, your voice
is like literally at a ten.
Bring it down to like a seven.
[tense music playing]
[narrator] Unbeknownst
to Jill and Charlie Team,
the commotion
has caught the attention of Amber.
But she is over 300 meters away,
so it's difficult for her
to hear what they're saying.
[Amber] There's Charlie talking with Jill.
I don't know what's going on,
but I definitely have that feeling
like something is on the horizon.
[Paul] If you wanna be here past December,
we'll keep playing this game.
Who wants? That's the stupidest question.
- [Paul] Then come across.
- [Jill] Who wants to do that?
We will win this. It'll end. Trust us.
[Nick] We got a spot for ya.
- [Paul] Quickest end to the game.
- "Spot for ya."
Oh.
Let's just spend a day or so
to think about it, then.
Today is the day, Jill.
They want me to make a decision
on the spot, right there.
What am I gonna do next?
Throwing Amber in the mix
has definitely made that harder on me.
So, you're asking me to screw her.
We know it's not an easy decision at all.
[Jill] I feel so conflicted.
Amber's my spirit sister,
and we are thick as thieves.
[Amber] I have to believe, at this point,
that Jill is going to be loyal.
[Jill] But here's the thing.
I did not come here to make friends.
Come over with us.
Let's go home, see our kids.
I'm playing this game to win.
[Amber] If she stabs me in the back,
then it's gonna be game on.
[tense music climaxes]
[closing theme music playing]
