Re-Modeled (2012) s01e02 Episode Script

Modeling Agency or Modeling School?

Previously on Remodeled You're going to New York Fashion Week.
Legendary super agent Paul Fischer handpicked four aspiring models to launch at New York Fashion Week.
Some showed promise There we go.
Ha ha ha! But one model's hopes were dashed.
So I just got the news I'm coming home.
Just kind of got crushed.
Paul set out to help his struggling network agency in Minneapolis.
She lost 16 models, 16 models, and that pisses me off.
- How do you lose 16 models? - What are you, blind? Where's "GQ" magazine? It's in the orange scrapbook box.
I don't find it funny.
After some tough love Study this , or get out of this business.
Paul transformed the Arquette agency These are your new models.
Oh, my God! Setting them on the path to success.
What? Tonight Paul is off to South Dakota, where a new agency pushes him to the breaking point Just so you're clear, you've been ripped off.
You're destroying my brand.
No more modeling school.
And with time running out at Fashion Week, the 3 remaining models are hoping to book the job that could launch their careers.
Oh, my gosh.
My name is Paul fisher.
I've represented the careers of some of the biggest supermodels-- Naomi Campbell, Stephanie Seymour, Carre Otis.
The list goes on and on.
Most supermodels aren't discovered in New York.
They come from small towns all over the world, but the New York agencies steal them away, make all the money, and get all the credit.
That's why I created the network.
and create the next generation of supermodels, but if you want to join the network, there's one rule.
You have to do things my way.
OK, guys.
We're here to see Lynne Hix, the owner of Fierce Modeling Agency.
New York Fashion Week is happening right now.
God, I'd love to be there, but there's a struggling modeling agency in South Dakota that needs my help.
So I've left Fashion Week in the very capable hands of Olga and J.
T.
Do you know that there's not another modeling agency within 500 miles of this modeling agency? She should be cornering this market.
There's thousands and thousands of kids in this particular area.
She hasn't found one star ever.
I got to find out why.
Do you guys know that out of the top 100 models in the world today, not one of them is from New York City? Every single one of them is from a small town just like this.
Hey, Jojo, would you ever live in a city like this? Think the question is, how long would I be alive if I moved to a city like this? They surely would not understand you, little brother.
Erin, did you ever hear anything again from trump model management in New York? Did they ever call you back? No.
OK.
My name is Lynne Hix.
I'm the owner of Fierce Modeling Agency, and we've been in business for about 4 years.
I took $10,000 that I saved up over several years to open Fierce, and so it's everything to my heart, but it's also everything I have.
OK, Erin.
We need to send the headshot.
So can you put this disk in and see if you can get it dragged over and saved? Got it.
I've had a long, full career doing hair and makeup.
I worked with Bob hope, Tony Bennett, juice Newton.
I admire Lynne.
I respect her a lot.
She's a warm, loving, caring person.
She's got a lot on her plate.
You need this back, Natausha? Yeah, if you could keep it in my pile-- yep.
I am the office manager.
I love Lynne as a person, and I know she can succeed at this, but she has got to have help.
Erin, I thought I'd given it to you.
Yeah, and then it got taken back.
Fierce cannot pay its bills.
We're struggling.
We are hanging on by a thread.
- Get dirty.
Get dirty.
- Get dirty.
Paul left me and J.
T.
in charge.
It's such a huge responsibility, and I don't want to let Paul or the kids down.
There's only a few days left for New York Fashion Week, and everyone is scrambling to get that last-minute booking.
I really need to book something soon with these kids.
Hey, I'm Meghan.
Nice to meet you, Meghan.
Hi.
Both Mariana and Meghan were called back for a fitting for Vivienne Tam.
Vivienne Tam is a great designer.
She has a great show during Fashion Week, and it would be amazing for either girl to get it.
Can we try on something? Yeah.
Think we should try something on? I'm Meghan.
I'm 17 years old.
Last week, I was making smoothies at a juice bar in Albuquerque, and now I'm in New York for Fashion Week.
My dad came out with me to New York, and I just want to make him proud, you know? I really want to show him that I can do this.
OK.
Here she is.
I love this.
Like it? Thank you.
I've been here for two weeks now, and I haven't heard anything about confirmed shows or anything, so it's a little stressful.
You know, what if I'm next, like, the next victim to go home? Thank you so much.
Thank you.
What do you think? She has a really tough walk.
Such a beautiful face.
Yeah, but the walk needs some major work.
It's about the first week of school back at home in Albuquerque, and a lot of my friends know where I am.
So for me to go back home and not have done anything, it's really embarrassing.
My name is Mariana Bayon.
I'm from Mexico.
I'm a regular girl.
My family, they don't have much money.
All my life I have need to work for things.
I really want to give something back to my family.
Ha ha ha! You're crazy.
Yeah.
You look pretty.
Yes.
Like that.
Thank you.
Beautiful.
Great.
Beautiful.
This is it? When I first walked by Fierce, it's like a warehouse.
It doesn't look like a modeling agency.
What's going on in here? Keep your elbows back here.
You won't get that swing going.
This agency from the outside looks like a thrift shop with big windows so you can see all the junk that's inside.
She's teaching them how to walk? Hit that pose and go ahead, pivot.
You want to stay on the right side.
As I walk into Fierce, I see a runway in the middle of this hardware store-looking kind of place with a bunch of young kids that certainly are not models.
This is not a modeling agency.
What is this place? Is this a modeling agency or school, guys? What's going on? This looks like a school.
I've seen this before.
Paul hates modeling schools, and this is definitely a modeling school.
This is gonna get ridiculous.
Let's go on in.
There's no such thing as modeling schools.
There's only modeling scams.
You cannot teach a young person to become 5'10".
I will have nothing to do with this place if that's what she's doing.
If you start on your right-- Paul.
Hello.
Hello, hello.
Oh, it's so nice to see you.
Lynne comes out to meet me, and first, I want to show her a little bit of love.
I kind of want to give her the benefit of the doubt, but I got to get to the bottom of this.
What are we doing here today? Oh, well, we got some models in training here.
Are these kids in the agency, or is this a class? This is part of our modeling school.
So some of them may be represented by the agency.
Some won't.
OK.
Hello.
Hi.
Hi, guys.
Hi.
I'm in a room full of beautiful, young kids, and none of these kids can be models.
They're all way too short.
So what Lynne is doing by running a modeling school, she's giving these kids false hopes.
I don't love playing the bad guy, but somebody has got to tell these kids the truth.
So let me ask you a question.
Come over here, little one.
How tall are you? I'm 5'7".
And how many courses have you taken so far? About 6, 7.
6 or 7 courses.
How much money have you spent so far on the modeling classes? Maybe 1,000 to 2,000, somewhere in there.
What's the goal? I just really want to see if this can take me somewhere.
Sweetie, you want to know the truth? Yeah, but that still won't change my mind.
No kids that are 5'7" can become real models.
Has anyone ever told you that? Yeah.
Who? I don't know.
Why not you, Lynne? Paul, I've talked to both her mother and her about the fact that she's 5'7", and actually, Madeline is also interested in acting, which is the direction that I have encouraged her to go.
Yeah, but then, Lynne, why would you have her walking down a runway, sweetheart? What do I do, though, if I do tell the truth and they say, "I still want to take a runway class.
" "I think it'd be fun.
I think I would enjoy it"? Do I say, "No.
You can't take a runway class"? You turn them down.
"Unless you can become a great model, don't do this.
" Let me explain to you.
You've been ripped off.
Just so you're clear, you've been ripped off.
Let me explain to you.
Just so you're clear, you've been ripped off.
I've just arrived at the Fierce Modeling Agency, and the first thing that I find out, that Lynne is also running a modeling school.
This is a disaster.
I've seen enough.
This class is done because it's not fair what's going on here, Lynne.
When Paul says things like that we're a scam or that we're ripping people off, it definitely hurts me.
I don't know if Paul really understands what it's like to be a modeling agency in South Dakota.
It's way different here than it is in California, and we've done what we've had to in order to stay in business.
Lynne, we got to talk.
Oh, my God.
Thank God.
What? So Mariana got booked on Vivienne Tam.
Get out.
Yes.
She did? This is so great.
Hopefully, Meghan and Bobby will book something, too.
It's such a huge opportunity for the both of them, and getting the right show can turn them into a star overnight.
I'm Bobby rake.
I'm 16 years old, and I'm from Portland, Oregon.
I'm just an all-American kind of guy who just likes his cars, likes his football, likes the girls.
Meghan, can you come over, please? How are you? I'm good.
How are you? Good.
Can you give me a walk through, please? Perfect is a pretty hard spot to get, but Meghan is pretty close to it.
Bobby, come on over.
All right.
I'm drew.
How are you? Nice to meet you.
You're gonna get a picture over on that wall, please.
Bobby has beautiful blue eyes.
His body is perfect.
Of course I'm all goo-goo ga-ga eyes over Bobby.
I don't know.
Does that sound, like, too cliched to say? My dad right now is in New York with me because I'm too young to travel by myself and parents are very, very protective about me, but when it comes to modeling, my dad supports me.
Don't mind me asking, Bobby's mom and I had a few questions on how do you take a 16-year-old, you know, and keep good grades and go through this kind of process as far as becoming a model? I think he has such a huge opportunity with this.
School is equally as important, and I don't want him to miss anything.
So we get him a tutor.
We try to make it work somehow.
We would say, "He's in school.
" Can we shoot it on a weekend?" Makes his mom and I both feel much better about that, so-- Good.
I'm glad.
Really hope he books a show.
We'll try and work something out, I promise.
How many walks do you teach these kids? There's no such thing as 4.
You think Naomi Campbell has got 4 different walks? She's got one, little princess.
So what you're teaching them isn't even real.
When I allow an agency into the network, I need to know 100% that they're running a legitimate business.
I can't have a modeling school with the network brand on it.
That's a scam to pay the rent.
I think Paul is out of line when he started talking about Lynne scamming.
Those were not Lynne's intentions.
She may have done it the wrong way, but her intentions were always good.
Those kids cannot model, sweetheart.
You are ripping them off for $300.
Truth is, I'm doing the best I can to provide a service through the modeling school as well as get my bills paid.
Modeling school or modeling agency? Because you can't have both.
We at the network can't allow for it.
Well, Paul, I do have girls that we don't charge.
But for every one that you're charging, could you understand that it could hurt the reputation? Because if they have friends, we're screwed with their friends.
I need Lynne to understand, when these kids who are paying for modeling classes never become models, they're gonna get pissed off.
They're gonna tell their friends to stay away from Fierce because it's a scam.
She's actually polluting her own market.
The reputation card has come up a lot of times just amongst us.
Tell me what you mean by that, please.
I think that her reputation is more important than anything, and I've always told her that I feel that way.
I truly believe that Natausha gets it.
Now, if I can just get the others, I think I can fix this place.
What exactly do you do here? I do hair, makeup, and styling.
Is that for test shoots? What's that specifically for? For their comp cards, for their portfolios.
OK.
Am I gonna see a bunch of comp cards here? What I said to Lynne was, "Don't we keep a wall of comp cards?" She said, "No.
We don't do that anymore.
" That's old-fashioned.
" Your wondering is correct.
Every modeling agency needs a comp card wall so when brand-new kids and their parents walk in, they can see the kind of quality that this particular agency is representing.
Lynne, where's my comps? The girls keep their own comp cards.
So there's not comp cards here.
Paul said similar things to what I was thinking but did not say to Lynne.
I didn't think it was the right time yet.
I didn't want to go into a job with Lynne and say, "Hi.
You know, I'm from New York.
I know everything.
Let me change your agency for you.
" That would be horrible.
Take me on a tour.
All right.
Show me where we're at.
This is for birthday parties in here.
What's that? Wh-what's that? Hair and makeup in here is for birthday parties.
What birthday parties? What are you talking about? We have birthday parties for little girls from 5 to about 16.
- Birthday parties? - Modeling school? Where am I, the circus? Joseph, where are we? Chuck E.
Cheese.
Anybody that's been as broke as I have knows that when you're desperate, you need to figure out ways to make money-- birthday parties, whatever.
This is a network agency, and it has to look, feel, and act like a New York modeling agency.
So here's what we got to do.
I need to see your kids, your top earners, right now, Lynne, right now.
Holy.
She must be so excited.
I know.
Think about all the influential people who are gonna be seeing her for the first time.
It's a big deal.
I know.
Me and J.
T.
are about to watch Mariana walk the runway for Vivienne Tam.
Every editor of every major magazine is sitting front row at this show, and if just one of them likes her, she could be shooting editorials as early as next week.
Fashion week would be, like, the best opportunity for my career if the right person is watching me and they can book me for the cover of a magazine.
That would be so great.
And here we go.
It's really difficult for someone that has a dream to really make it true, and this is a big opportunity to make it true.
So I'm really happy.
Joseph, are the models ready? OK.
Send in the first one, brother.
OK.
Thank you, Joseph.
I've asked Lynne to show me their models so I can see what I'm dealing with, so I can figure out how to help them.
I got to see what the hell I'm working with.
Hello.
Nice to meet you guys.
How old are you? I'm 26.
And how tall? 5'4".
5'7 1/2".
"5'1" on a good day.
Thank you very much for your time.
I asked for models, you guys.
You're wasting my time.
I want to focus on building a modeling agency here.
Oh, my God, this is going from bad to worse really fast.
What's your name? Amelia.
How old are you? - Pretty girl.
- She could actually be a model.
Now we're getting somewhere.
Ah, you look great, sweetie.
Thank you.
Jordan, how old are you? I'm 17.
I like you very much, Jordan.
Who put together your book? Lynne just gave us all the pictures, and I kind of went through and put them through.
So you organized these pictures.
Yes.
It's our job to put together the pictures to market to the clients.
If we leave that in the hands of a 17-year-old young person, what are we saying to that young person? That she knows more than us.
Sometimes you don't know what you don't know until someone tells you you don't know it.
Jazzy, how old are you sweetie? I'm 14.
How tall are you, jazzy? I think 5'11".
Do you have a portfolio? No.
Do you have a composite? No.
Hold on a second.
This is one of your best girls-- no portfolio, no composite.
Thanks, jazz.
Thank you.
OK.
Thank you very, very much for coming to see me.
You guys, one star creates an agency.
You're sitting on a star.
You're sitting on Jasmine.
Everything OK, banana? Actually, there's somebody I really need you to meet.
While I was out scouting, I ran into a lot of people who were questioning Lynne's reputation at Fierce.
So did you go through a course here? I did.
I took the runway course, and I also took the print course.
How much money did you spend here? Probably close to $800.
What happened after you spent the $800? Make any money? No.
OK.
Did you expect to become a model? Yeah.
Since being in rapid city, Anna has been out scouting for new faces.
Seems like there's more people that feel like they've been ripped off by Lynne.
Who knows how many other people feel ripped off, too? All of our paperwork, everything that they're given says that there's no guarantee, that there's no correlation-- Hold it, Lynne.
Screw the paperwork.
How many kids are there out there that are polluting this market and destroying your brand and along with it destroying my brand? Finally, somebody is here with the same thought process as what I have been trying to give this agency since I've been here.
We have a lot of work ahead of us.
Lynne has 3 incredible new faces that actually have the potential to be great models, but she's so busy spending her time on this modeling school, she's putting no time into developing these 3 great kids.
She's wasting their careers.
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
Hey, guys, I got a special assignment for you guys tomorrow.
Runway.
That's got to get out of here.
Any ideas how we get rid of that thing? Sledgehammer? Chainsaw? Yeah.
That's exactly right.
Sledgehammer, chainsaw.
You serious? That's what we're gonna do.
We're getting rid of that thing.
Where the are we getting a chainsaw? Good luck.
I'm not helping you.
You have a huge casting for Tommy Hilfiger today.
So I really want you to get this hair cut.
Let's get in there.
All right.
Tommy Hilfiger is one of the biggest American brands.
Bobby is that all-American boy, and it would be the type of show that could make his career.
I know Bobby's dad is concerned.
Bobby is only 16 years old, and school is really important to the both of them.
Bobby has a huge opportunity here, and I know I can take his career to the next level.
Ah, it's looking good.
Sweet.
It was hard to come on this trip for me because my football season has just started.
Some of the coaches were kind of telling me that I could possibly swing varsity, but something big like this pops up, I got to ditch football for a little bit.
Oh Good luck.
Oh, thank you so much.
OK.
Thank you, man.
Thanks for coming in.
- Yeah.
- No problem.
- Hi.
- What's your name? Bobby.
Bobby, how are you? Tommy.
What agency are you with? I am with the network.
The network.
Are you excited about Fashion Week? Yeah, excited, nervous.
How old are you? 16, and what about school? I'm missing, actually, 3 days or possibly more for Fashion Week.
Might be worth it.
Yeah.
Thanks for coming in.
All right.
Thank you, guys.
Very nice to meet you.
Good luck.
Well? In addition to Tommy Hilfiger, Bobby was also requested for Andrew buckler.
I'll wait for you guys here.
Good luck.
It's a really cool show, very hip men's designer.
We love it for Bobby.
OK.
The only thing I would do, when you stopped, I wouldn't do-- Don't do the--yeah.
We're not in the eighties anymore.
Could bring it back, though.
So do it one more time, and just do a dead stop and come back.
I kind of gave this, like, eighties stop and pop.
It's actually kind of good that he told me so now I don't do that little, like, thing and then people are like, "What is he doing?" Thank you.
Thanks very much.
Want to put him on the wall? We obviously need something bigger.
Anna and I are walking through rapid city trying to find something to destroy the runway, and she decides to go into a crafts store.
Hello.
I'm looking for something to cut something up and bury it really fast.
Do you have anything here? I don't think we do.
OK.
Great.
All right.
Good job, Anna.
We're good.
What are those? Come on.
Come on.
You're wasting our time.
They're too small.
Working the Anna is like working with myself.
I have no help.
We need to demolish something, and we need to buy these.
Here.
This should be enough money.
Just come on.
We don't have time.
You got them all? Yeah.
No, you don't.
I can see your bra through that That's good.
You trollop.
What, are you coming up with your own words now? No.
You're just not proper enough to know what "trollop" means.
Natausha, come on out here and see me, the whole team.
I'm showing up this morning to lay it on the line to Lynne and her staff.
Make a decision-- modeling school, modeling agency.
Good morning, Paul.
And who are you? I'm will.
I'm Paul fisher.
Nice to meet you.
I'm in charge of the male division here at Fierce.
I think Lynne is a great person, but it doesn't sit well with me that Fierce has the modeling school, but I know Lynne is struggling and she's trying her best.
Thank you, guys, for coming to see me this morning.
A few things I want to talk about, if I may.
I'm transforming the modeling industry to fight against places just like this.
I see where you're coming from.
Your name is on our brochure.
You know, the network is on there.
I think Lynne is naive in a lot of areas of the business.
Lynne's entire staff gets it.
I need Lynne to look me in the eye and convince me that she's willing to let go of all this other nonsense, and if she doesn't, I'm going home.
Will Yeah? Modeling agency or modeling school? Should be a modeling agency.
Erin, modeling agency or modeling school? Modeling agency.
Are you committed to the Fierce agency? 100% and to Lynne.
And, Erin, when a birthday party calls next week and we're having a little trouble making the rent, what are you gonna do? "Sorry.
We don't do those anymore.
" It means canceling everything.
That means canceling everything.
Are you willing to do that, Lynne? She has to.
If that means we have to shut the doors for a couple of days or if I have to come in and book stuff on volunteer time, then I'll do that.
It's overwhelming because change is overwhelming.
Any change in life is overwhelming.
It's easy to stay on the path that you've been on.
The path of scamming, it's not working, sweetheart.
Modeling agency or modeling school? Modeling agency.
I would say, if anyone can fix this agency, it's Paul fisher, and so for now, I'm gonna put my hope in that, and I'm gonna believe that, and if he can't fix it, then we close.
What are you gonna do to hold Lynne accountable? Oh, I'll bring some muscle in, get these damn things out of here.
I have a better idea.
Oh, my gosh.
Stand right there.
Lynne.
Lynne.
- I need to know.
- Yes.
You are 100% committed.
I'm absolutely sure.
Lynne, step on up.
Right here.
Slam it.
Slam it.
Slam it.
Slam it! No more modeling school.
No more modeling school.
Paul should believe in me because there is not an agency owner on the face of the planet that loves her business as much as me.
I just need somebody that can give me guidance and tough love to make it happen.
Amen.
I do! That's what I'm talking about.
No more school.
Joseph.
Come on.
You take a whack at it.
That's what I'm talking about.
Obviously, I have a lot of aggression to take out.
Believe in me.
I will not let you down.
I got an idea that's gonna blow your mind, and I promise you, whole new trip here, you guys.
OK.
Let's go.
Oh, that felt fantastic.
You know who I was hitting? I was hitting my mother.
Ha ha ha! You were hitting your mother.
Erin was hitting her mother! That's right.
Hey, Paul.
How's everything going in New York? Things are going really great.
We just found out that Bobby booked Andrew buckler.
Bam.
That's great news.
But what about Tommy Hilfiger? Tommy thought he was a little too young, but you know, the Andrew buckler thing, we're so excited, and you know how it is, once they book one show, everyone just jumps on the bandwagon, so he'll start working right away.
Tell me about Meghan.
Has she booked anything yet? Meghan hasn't confirmed anything yet, but she does have a fitting for Custo Barcelona today and I'm really, really hoping she gets it.
If she gets Custo, you gotta call me right away, because I'm coming right back to New York to see the show.
Will do.
OK, I gotta run.
I'll see you later.
All right.
Cool.
OK.
Bye.
We have some things to talk about.
Come on, guys.
Lynne's staff is looking to me for answers.
Now that we've gutted the modeling school, we've gotten rid of the birthday parties, how are they gonna pay the rent? How are they gonna pay the electricity bill? Let's be really honest with each other.
What is rapid city, South Dakota in regards to the modeling industry? There's no clients in this city.
So you know what this is? This is a placement agency.
Here's how it works.
You guys are now the mother agency of all these kids.
Not only will you have my entire network of agencies trying to book your girls, but we also want to place your models with the most powerful agencies in every major market around the world.
When you place them, you earn a 10% commission.
Their job is to corner this market and to find the most incredible new faces for the fashion industry.
You've got 500 miles around this area.
There's not another modeling agency.
Wow.
This is huge.
This isn't just make a few changes here and there.
This is a total overhaul of my business.
Now, what happens, you guys, when we place these young, beautiful souls at modeling agencies all over the world? What happens? What do you think-- reputation.
What do you think's gonna happen to that reputation? What do you think's gonna happen to the brand? Explode.
Explode.
We're gonna be like new yo we're gonna be like L.
A.
We're gonna play with the big boys now.
Here's a major issue, though, you guys.
Nobody really cares what the girls look like.
What they truly care about-- how does the girl photograph? And these photographs, no disrespect, they're sub-par.
So when agencies around the world see these pictures, they're not gonna flip out about your kids.
And these 3 kids that you have are great kids.
Is "Vogue" gonna knock on your door and say, "Hey, this is great.
Let me see the girls"? You're gonna have to send these pictures to them.
They're never gonna see the people in person.
So what we're gonna do is you're gonna get Jordan, Emilia, and Jasmine, and meet me in an hour.
OK? I have a surprise for you.
I'll see you guys in a little bit.
How can I stay on top on me Bobby booked the Andrew buckler show and I'm so happy for him.
All of our hard work is finally starting to pay off.
Let's talk to you in that--right in there.
Like, 5-second change.
Hurry up.
What's going through my head is kind of like keep your eyes focused.
Look dead at one spot and don't fall.
Ha ha! Oh, my God.
Here he comes.
Wow.
Very good.
Very good.
Never seen him do that before.
Very handsome.
Not bad.
Not bad.
God, his walk has gotten so much better.
It's great.
Killing it.
Nice job, buddy.
That was good.
Wow.
He looked amazing.
Oh, my gosh.
He's so frickin' cute.
I'm a proud dad.
I'm a proud dad.
Good.
You should be proud.
He did well.
Hey.
Hey, buddy.
Nice job, man.
Ha ha ha! Way to go.
You looked great.
Ah, it was all right.
I guess I did OK.
You looked confident.
You looked awesome.
So what'd you think, Meghan? It was awesome.
You nailed it.
She is, like, your number-one fan over here.
Oh, yeah? You're all right.
I'm all right.
Whatev.
You're the best-looking one.
Oh, OK.
Don't flatter yourself too much.
I'm not.
I'm not.
I'm really happy for Bobby that he booked a show and stuff, but I'm definitely anxious and nervous.
I definitely want to get out there and do it, too.
We good? You're sweating on me.
It's disgusting.
Am I actually that bad? Cooties.
Cooties.
We're gonna turn Fierce into an international placement agency, but to do that, we need to upgrade the photography here in rapid city.
I have brought in Paul Alexander.
Paul has shot for "Vogue," for "Elle.
" He's actually shot campaigns for Bacardi, Mac, and Nike.
He's a rock star in the modeling industry.
Jordan, let me just put you up to the wall for now.
Fierce uses a local photographer.
Her name is Lisa.
You know what the problem is? She's not getting any guidance.
That's where Paul comes in.
And this is just a good thing to know.
We want friendly eyes.
We just a natural, beautiful shot, right? OK, so what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna take a quick shot this way and then flip it off the other way.
Stunning.
Right there, right there.
Oh, stunning.
Lis', do your magic, beautiful.
Look like you're walking, and then I want you to look back at me.
- OK.
- All right.
Flip.
There you go.
That's what I want.
Don't freeze up.
There you go.
Do the work for me.
Make me look good.
Ha ha! Nice.
I like that.
You gave her--you know what I mean? It's giving her that little extra incentive so she knows you're all on the same page.
Take a look.
Yeah, that's the only thing that drives me crazy.
Hand on the hip.
Would you be walking down the street normally like that? No.
That means you're modeling.
You're too beautiful to ever model.
I think having Paul Alexander come out here to rapid city has been an eye-opener for everybody.
When Lynne and her team go to work tomorrow morning, they're in for a huge surprise.
Today feels like we are a modeling agency.
Meghan is at a last-minute fitting for Custo Barcelona and this is really her last chance to be able to book a show this season.
I've gone on so many castings and this is the last casting I have, and I want it so bad.
If I don't get this, it's done.
I'm screwed.
Paul, he put so much effort and work for me.
If I don't book a show, then I'm afraid that he won't, like, push me as much or just, you know, give up on me.
This is my once chance to prove to Paul that I can do this.
YeahOh, hey.
Hi.
How are you? Let's see we try some clothes to see if they fit you, OK? Just go over there and they'll try something.
Thank you.
- I don't want to go home.
- My family's so supportive, and I don't want to disappoint them.
Hi.
OK, let's see.
You have to walk now.
Start here.
All the way back.
OK.
Not 100% sure yet.
I'm gonna see also another outfit.
She doesn't walk so well, no? Yep.
Fitting is brutal.
Like, he hates my walk.
There's no way that he's gonna book me for this show.
This is embarrassing.
It's just embarrassment.
Oh.
OK.
So totally different look for you.
And walk fast, OK? Energy.
OK.
Good.
Looking good.
OK, much better.
That's better.
UmI don't know.
I think you can do the show.
I think you're in.
Really? Yeah, yeah, for sure.
Mwah.
Thank you.
Thank you.
So crazy.
I can't wait to tell my dad.
He's gonna be so thrilled.
She definitely looked different.
I got it, I got it, I got it, aah! Finally.
Knowing Meghan is closer to fulfilling some of her dreams, it's just--you can't be more proud as a parent.
It's really awesome.
We got it, dad.
Whoo! My team has been working all night to transform Fierce into a real network agency.
Hey, you guys.
- Hey, Paul.
- Welcome.
Welcome.
Here we are.
So, guys, when I got here a couple of days ago, I saw a sad sign in the window.
A modeling school going on.
Not anymore.
You ready to see the new Fierce Modeling Agency? We're ready.
We're ready.
Rip it down.
Rip it down.
Rip the whole thing down.
Fm! This is the beginning of the beginning.
- The new sign is awesome.
- And you know what's funny? I actually forgot what the old sign looked like in that split second.
Beautiful.
Absolutely beautiful.
Welcome to your new agency.
Holy crap.
Oh, my God! Oh, my God.
Look at that! It looks absolutely amazing.
In our old Fierce modeling, it was nothing but a warehouse, and the new one, you walk in, you turn to your left, you got the reception desk.
You go back, you got the other two offices.
Just looks like a real agency.
It looks like something that South Dakota has never seen.
Oh, my gosh! How did they do all this so fast? When I walked into the agency and saw the remodel, it took my breath away.
I've been in agencies in New York that look exactly like that.
It was just phenomenal.
Blew me away.
And you have an executive office.
And that's your composite wall.
Yay! A composite wall! Yay! Now I have a cool, new desk with a flat screen, a comp card wall.
Everything a modeling agency owner could ever need.
Will, move over just for a second.
Do you see that name back there? The only way-- the only way that network name stays on this place is if you can promise me this stays a modeling agency and never becomes a modeling school ever again.
Can you promise me that? Definitely.
Yes.
I love my new agency so much.
It's an incredible blessing to me.
It's so beautiful and it's really beyond anything that I ever could've thought that I would be able to achieve in life.
And so it's wonderful.
It's fantastic.
I can't believe it.
When I opened my building, I painted all the walls myself.
My kids sleeping on the floor next to me all night so that I can paint the walls, and now look at it.
You made your commitment to me, and now I'm here to make my commitment to you.
Your roster needed help.
My team has worked hard and scoured this local area.
They're right underneath our noses.
Take a look at some of your new models.
Come on in.
Hi, April.
So, jazzy, you see that picture? That's you.
In addition to working with the network, we have placed you with some of the most powerful modeling agencies around the world in Zurich, in Paris, in Miami.
Jordan, you now have representation in New York, in Miami, in Bangkok, in Milan, in Paris.
That happened in about 12 hours last night.
Now, Emilia, you didn't think I'd forget about you.
Oh, no.
You now have representation in New York, Bangkok, in Tokyo.
That's your mother agent right there, and this is your team right here, and these are the team of people that no matter where you go in the world, no matter where they place you in the world, you always have a home to come home to.
Right here, and they will always have your back.
I love this girls like my own family, and they deserve this.
No matter where they go, they always have me, their mother agent, waiting for them at home.
I gotta get out of here.
I gotta get back to New York City.
One of my kids is actually walking in her first fashion show.
And one day, you will say that.
About one of these kids.
Joseph, go get my car.
Go get my car.
Go get my car.
If they follow my plan, they're gonna find the next star of the fashion industry.
I'm gonna put FMP on the map.
Hi, Emilia! I am really excited about the future of Fierce, becauseSorry.
I was just overwhelmed.
I'm so happy.
I had to come back to New York to watch Meghan's first fashion show.
The minute I saw Meghan, I knew that she was going to become a huge star.
While I'm walking down the runway, it's just my dad.
He's gonna be watching and so is Paul, and so I'm really excited.
I want to nail it for them.
And for myself.
I'm really excited.
Lining up and it's about to get--it's about to get real.
I'm a little nervous.
If Meghan saw what was outside here right now Oh, I don't even know what she'd do.
If she peeked out here right now, she'd lose it right now.
She has no idea.
come on, everybody yeah to the sky like a rocket going everybody scream if you wanna go faster we're going on my spaceship headed to the moon scream if you wanna go faster to the sky like a rocket going scream if you wanna go faster we're going on my spaceship headed to the moon scream if you wanna go faster, zoom, zoom Hi.
Oh, my God.
That was the coolest thing I've ever watched in the whole, entire span of my life.
I've seen cool stuff.
How did you know how to do that? Ha ha! Was it good? It was perfect.
Absolutely perfect.
I had so much fun.
I'm so proud of you.
Thank you.
You're so perfect.
We found Meghan working at Keva Juice, and now she's walking down the runway for one of the biggest designers.
Meghan's career is about to skyrocket.
So good.
That was so much fun.
Were you nervous? Did you feel-- Oh, yeah, I was way nervous, and then I was like, you know, this is it.
I want to do this, so-- Beginning of the beginning.
Next time on "Remodeled" This job, you really gotta nail it.
It's do or die for one network model.
Book a job or hang it up.
I can't wait to hear if I got it.
And Paul sets out to help a network agency but is pushed to the edge.
You're lucky that I'm here today.
You know who the I am? That's not a model.
That's not a model.
This is how you destroy my reputation.
