- 911 at Carmadelle.
- Damn it, we got to get there, man.
We got to get in there, make sure this person's safe.
I make a living in the movies, but for the past 20 years 11, 825, code 6.
I've also been a cop.
And along with some of the finest deputies on the force, I serve the people of Jefferson Parish, Louisiana.
code 94-G.

My name is Steven Seagal.
All units respond.
That's right.
Steven Seagal: Deputy sheriff.
- Check me right.
Check me right.
Check me right.
- You're clear.
You're clear.
You're clear.
You're clear.
- Hold on.
Hold on.
Hold on.
Everybody, hold on.
- Watch this guy.
- All right, it's gonna be south on Ames.
We're taking a left right here.
And it's gonna be right past Lapalco Boulevard.
- Lose this siren as soon as we get close so he don't hear us coming.
We got a burglary in progress, and we're right there, So we want to try to jump the guy.
Talk to air one.
See if he can watch the house for us And guide us to the bastard if he's running, you hear me? You're clear right, clear right.
We need direction-of-flight info from him up on top, Larry.
Watch this guy.
You're good.
Right here, right here, right.
Where he at? Where he at? - Get out.
Get out.
- Which one is it? Here? - Stay at the front door.
- It's gonna be a very, very dangerous situation.
We should try to get in from the front.
The subject could be feeling cornered and desperate.
- Give me a cover man over on this side by this window.
- Copy, fall back.
- 'cause he's in there.
I think he's in there.
There's a lot of glass everywhere.
- A lot of glass on the ground.
I knocked a lot of it down right here.
- All right, what about K-9? Do you want to start K-9 in there? - Yes, brother.
- JP-17, headquarters, they're requesting a K-9.
Can you start a dog this way? Looks like the back door has been pried open.
The residents aren't home, but the suspect may still be inside.
- He tried to get in here, and then he went in through the window there.
And I don't think he got out before we got here.
K-9's on the way now because we don't really want to go through the window.
And we're really not supposed to anyway.
We're gonna put that dog through the window And let him get in there, and if there's anybody in there, You'll hear some screaming.
- All right, the dog's in.
- As you can see here, this is all tore up Where he tried to get in.
Then he went in through the window.
So we put the dogs in here, and the dog's not finding anybody.
I hope he didn't cut his feet on that glass.
Man, don't look good.
I ain't seen nothing.
He must have bolted quick.
I don't know how this guy could have got away.
I swear to god.
It looked to me like he got in there and something spooked him, a second alarm or people coming or something, and he must have somehow got out that back window And faded into the shadows without the bird catching him.
Thank y'all.
Thank you.
Locks and alarms are not always everything.
In my home, I have trained attack dogs.
This guy would have broken in my house, my dogs might have killed him.
- Here.
So this is my buddy Kar.
For the last two decades or more, I've been working and training German Shepherds.
When I'm home, I can protect my family very well.
But when I'm gone, I really look to them to guard the fort.
House.
I've been interested in dogs since I was a little boy.
I probably had my first dog at about age eight.
And then I started training them for protection In my early teens.
Come here.
I love Kar so much and love having him around.
I figured he could use company and I might enjoy having two of them, So I got Frankie.
Frankie.
Come up here.
Come here.
Are you a good boy? Are you a good boy? So this dog, I just got him a few days ago.
He comes from Eastern Europe, and there his owner had trained him to be aggressive towards everybody.
He was not friendly.
He kind of wanted to eat everybody.
So it's gonna be a real challenge to get him to work with Kar.
Come and see daddy.
Oh, jealousy.
Because they're alpha males and they both want to be top dogs, I have one of my best friends who's a great trainer coming in today to help out.
- The first session, we'll just start out with a few really basic exercises.
I think it should be fun and probably a little a little chaotic.
- You ready? - Yeah.
- So second trainer's gonna agitate the dogs and get them all riled up to see if they'll still listen to my commands.
- Okay, and now turn them on.
- Hey.
- Enough.
Enough.
Enough.
Sitze.
Sitze.
Whoo.
That's how fired up they get, boy.
- Hey.
- Enough.
Enough.
They want some.
We had them kind of turn on each other for a quick second.
I think maybe we should take a little break.
- Okay, we'll do muzzle next, but we'll wait a minute.
- Yeah.
Feels like a dangerous situation.
As strong as I am, I'm having a hard time keeping these guys from trying to kill each other.
And, unfortunately, training has got a long way to go.
- Okay, so we're going to do muzzle attacks now.
- Okay.
Okay, uh-oh, just enough.
- Enough.
Enough.
- Okay, try not to pull up as much.
Just down a little bit.
- Yeah.
- Okay, now schtek.
- Mm-hmm, and eek them.
- Okay, go get 'em.
- Ah! Get off me! - Enough.
Enough.
House.
House.
- Enough.
- Enough.
Damn.
- Ow.
- With Frankie not knowing you yet, he's not going to turn off for you.
- Yeah, even Kar's not listening.
But usually he's perfect.
- So this is a whole nother dynamic - Yeah, totally different dynamic.
I'm going to break them now, okay.
- Yeah.
- Okay, break.
- The session was intense.
And, you know, we now know where the holes are.
A lot of things need to be improved.
Telling them to turn off, you need to say it over and over and over again, and still they didn't turn off.
- With dogs like these, the most important thing Is to make them obey your commands.
When I tell them to stop biting and come back to me, they got to work on that.
And if they don't do that, you're going to have a big problem, because they're dangerous.
- Hey.
- Enough.
Enough.
- I got a lot of work to do, but I know I'll get there.
No.
Nay.
We're trying to hit all the main troubled areas.
Just a lot, a lot of narcotics slinging and stolen property, murder.
- There's some areas in jefferson parish That are worse than others.
In those areas, we're proactive and aggressive.
But we need to be that way to keep the community safe.
- Watch this guy's hands.
Somebody just handed somebody something.
Could be drugs.
Listen, look over here.
I think these guys are slinging drugs.
Let's go check 'em out.
Let's see your hands.
Put your hands up high.
- Somebody just handed somebody something.
Listen, look over here.
I think these guys are slinging drugs.
Let's go check 'em out.
- Come on, come on, come on.
Hands on the car.
Baby girl, touch the car.
You got an I.
D.
? - Yeah.
- Spread your legs.
You got I.
D.
, sir? - damn, who's smoking? I smell the weed.
Who's smoking? - You smell the marijuana? - Yes, sir.
- You don't mind if we look in your vehicle, huh? - You ain't got nothing in your pockets, huh? Just keep your hands on the car, and everything's all right.
- Anybody knows who this car is for? Because there's marijuana on the front seat.
Weed seeds.
- 17, a few 107s.
We got a coupe.
What's your last name, man? - Harris.
- Harris? - Yes, sir.
- First name? - Lance.
- Lance? - Yes, sir.
What's your name? - Lance Harris.
- Huh? - Lance Harris.
- No, it ain't.
- Yes, it is.
- Put him in handcuffs.
- What's your name again? - Lance Harris.
- Lance Harris, huh? - What's your name? Your brother is Lance, who's 16 years old.
You got Tori, and you the other brother.
So what is your name? - Yeah.
- Eric is a sharp young cop.
He grew up in these streets and knows most of the people in the street.
What's he wanted for? - I don't know, but I know he ain't Lance Harris.
- What's that? - Attachments.
- In the State of Louisiana, an attachment means that the court has issued an order for you to appear, and if you don't appear, then there's an order for ur arrest.
- Did you want me to tell you how much I know about your family? I done arrested your brothers.
I went to school with your brother.
We did a suspicious persons stop, a 107 stop, and one of the subjects lied to us about his name.
So he's gonna be taking a ride tonight.
- Eric.
- Yes, sir.
- This is this is - This is the inside of the blunt.
- So we're gonna keep looking and see what we can find.
- Spread your legs.
Hands on top of your head.
Lawrence.
What you got? - You slinging? - No, I was shooting dice.
- All the little money balled up like that? - Man, can you loan me $5, son? - Steven Seagal? - Can you loan me $5, partner? - But you don't? - Who drove this car here? - Now, look, I don't want to have to do a thorough investigation to find out who was driving this car.
- Yes, sir.
- It would look much better for you If you just be honest, huh? I really, I mean You just drove the car here, right? All right, well, can we just be honest from here on out? You know what the truth is? - Michael, can you open this trunk for me? I ain't got the keys.
- Where the keys at, Michael? - I don't have the keys, sir.
- Where they at? - I don't know where they at.
- Who's got them? - I don't know where they at.
- The owner won't come forward with the keys, and it's a very high crime area.
So we called the K-9 dog out here to sniff it To see if we got drugs in the trunk.
Watch the dog.
Dog coming out.
- Everybody back up.
Bring the dog out there, curtis.
- He's hitting on something, huh, Joe? We're looking for drugs.
The dog's hitting on something.
We're just trying to find it.
Could be weed, could be anything.
Anything, cos'? - Yeah, residue, huh? - So it ain't nothing now, huh? - If there was anything in there, the dogs would've found it.
They have amazing senses, And they can smell any kind of drugs in the middle of a bag of doggy treats.
- All right, well, thank y'all for coming out.
We'll definitely invite y'all to our next party.
The dog did a preliminary search of the vehicle, Wasn't able to locate anything.
They said it did a small alert, something real weak, which is saying the presence of it.
Maybe it was in there in the past, but nothing strong.
So they probably either had it in their pocket and the residue drifted on the seat, or it might have been from rolling a marijuana cigarette.
But we'll be back.
We will be back.
- So we didn't find any drugs, but we did find that the gentleman who was lying about his identity did have outstanding warrants.
And we're gonna take him in.
Alex, time to get serious now.
- We're ready as soon as you are.
- All right, big chief, you ready to roll? Right now, we are in some of those areas that we know are the you know, the most troublesome.
- Somebody called 911 and didn't complete the call.
They could be in trouble.
- We don't know if it's an intruder.
We don't know if it's a medical emergency.
We just know we got to get there quick.
- We don't know if they have an intruder That's trying to hurt them.
We don't know if they're having a heart attack And can't get to the phone.
We just know we got to get there quick.
You're clear right.
You're clear right.
You're clear right.
Front door is intact, still locked, no broken windows.
I see a wheelchair ramp.
May be some kind of a medical emergency here.
- Sheriff's office.
- Sheriff's office.
- Brinser, call headquarters to see if there's been any medical emergencies out of here in the recent past.
- 1246, can you see if we have any previous 24s? - And what was the signal? - She might be in there on the ground or something.
- Sheriff's office.
Anybody here? - She might be unconscious.
Guys, we're gonna have to get in there somehow.
- Y'all be careful.
I think there's a guard dog back there.
- Oh, that little dog? - Man, that ain't no guard dog, y'all.
Nah, that's just a little baby puppy dog.
- This your house, sweetheart? We got the owner of the house here.
She advised she called 911 In reference to a domestic situation.
- Oh.
- We were worried about you.
We thought you were in there lying on the ground.
- Yeah, we thought somebody was unconscious or something.
Ain't nobody in there, right? All right, you okay? Who threatened you? - This lady was allegedly threatened by a friend and called 911.
- She hung up before completing the call and fled the house.
- Your mama's inside this house? - We're here now, so while we're here, Why don't you go on in the house? All right.
We'll just take a look.
All right.
Everything looks clear.
- This is my bedroom.
- It looks clear.
All right, stay in here and keep your door locked tonight if you could, all right? Our job is done, the lady's safe, and we're on our way out of here to the next call.
- Let's roll.
- With all that barking, I thought it was gonna be some big bad guard dog, but mm-mm.
- No, all it turned out to be was just a sweet little puppy.
- Sweet as could be.
They want some.
They want some.
I recently got another dog who's also well-trained for protection.
First time I trained them together, it didn't really work out, so we're back here again trying to do it all over again To see if I can make them work together better.
- Okay, you ready? - Yeah, so - He's gonna start yelling at steven, Not looking at the dogs, but looking at Steven, yelling at Steven.
- Today we're going to just do some basic maneuvers with the dogs.
- You're gonna be yelling back at him and - Okay, here we go.
It's really important to get these dogs to work as a team, because when I'm not around, I need them to be able to protect the family and the home.
Okay, ready? Go ahead, Donnie.
- Hey, what are you doing with those dogs? - Get out of here.
- Get those dogs out of here.
Get them out of here.
- Enough.
- Good, just tell them, "lie down.
" - Lie down.
Good dog.
This is an exercise where we tell them, "guard the house.
"anything that's outside trying to get in, Don't let it in.
" And we're going to start that right now.
Block.
Enough.
Come here.
Lie down.
Good boy, good boy.
Most people wouldn't want a piece of that.
In this situation, we're going to create a violent attack scenario to make the dogs believe that it's real.
So now he's going to come up to attack me, and I'm going to let them defend me.
And I'm going to get to the mix and pretend like I'm fighting with Donnie, but I'm really not going to hurt Donnie.
Okay, everybody ready? - Back them up.
- Handlers have been bitten by their own dogs because the dogs are used to attacking the aggressor, and suddenly you've got the handler being aggressive.
So I want to make sure that both dogs know that Steven's not going to just stand there, and they have to be prepared for that.
- Ah, get them off! - Enough.
- Get them off! - Enough.
Come here, here.
Good dog.
You okay, Donnie? - I'm good.
Cut my thumb or my finger.
I got scratch behind my ear.
- Oh, yeah.
- One week into it, that's great.
That much aggression right next to each other, Bumping into one another, that's - Yeah, for the amount of time I've had to train them with John, I think it's amazing what they're doing.
It's very good.
Good boy.
Good boy.
I feel like Frankie gets along with Kar very well and responded to me.
And, hopefully, we'll never need them to track anybody or go into the field or anything.
They're just my best friends.
And, God forbid, if there's ever a burglar and I'm not home they'll defend my family as best they can.
we're chasing the bad guys - chasing the bad guys - we've been chasing the bad guys
