: This is Burne Thompson with my views.
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are the most dangerous criminals in the city.
Could they be responsible for the mysterious abduction of a dozen innocent people over the past month? I think, yes.
Okay, that's the last of the stuff.
Let's split.
[GRUNTS.]
You boneheads going somewhere? Yeah, away from you.
Come on, dudes, let's get in their faces.
How about a little firepower, turtle? The sword is mightier than the blaster, punk.
[GRUNTS.]
And the sai is mightier than the crowbar.
Or something like that.
I believe you have something that doesn't belong to you.
I better not leave this lying around.
Hurry up, Raphael, we've got to clear out of here before the police arrive.
[SIRENS WAILING.]
Oh, man.
[INDISTINCT POLICE RADIO CHATTER.]
Ah, it's those turtles they keep showing on the news.
All right, you four, throw down your weapons and surrender.
B-but these guys are the crooks.
Yeah, we just caught them for you.
OFFICER: Surrender or we open fire.
Man, what a bunch of ingrates.
Yeah, we run ourselves ragged catching criminals for them.
And then they bust us.
Now, you-- You better come along quietly or VOICE: Or what? Leave those turtles alone.
Alone, cops.
[SNIGGERS.]
They're not criminals, they're heroes.
Who are those guys? We're mutants just like you.
And we mutants have to look out for one another.
Put on some speed, OverDrive.
Heh-heh-heh.
You got it, Amok.
Heh-heh-heh.
Like taking candy from a baby.
[WHISTLES.]
Somebody tell me I just saw what I think I saw.
I think you saw it, amigo.
Get out of here, turtles.
We'll hold off the cops.
I don't like this.
Those guys may be helping us, but they're breaking the law.
Could we can the civics lesson and get out of here while we have a chance? Fall back, men.
Welcome to H.
A.
V.
O.
C.
[.]
RAPHAEL: Can you believe those cops were going to arrest us? After all we've done for this city.
DONATELLO: It just goes to show, you can't trust humans.
The humans are just misguided.
You can't expect them to understand us.
I'll say.
The only guys who've done us any favors lately are those two mutants.
Look, those dudes are breaking into the historical museum.
That place is filled with priceless treasures.
LEONARDO: We've got to stop them.
Well, here we go again.
Doing the humans' work for them.
Uh, hey, what's going on? Two bad guys, coming up.
Those turtles.
Run for it.
Not so fast, wise guy.
Hey.
So long, turtle.
Whoa! [YELLING.]
Holy guacamole.
Who are you? Raptor's the name.
You don't look like a dinosaur.
RAPTOR: Raptor means bird of prey, my fine hard-shelled friend.
You two just get married? Merely helping out a fellow mutant.
Speaking of mutants, there sure are a lot of us out tonight.
Yeah, who are all you guys? We're part of a growing group.
You mean you've got like a club? Our organization is called Highly Advanced Varieties of Creatures.
In case you haven't noticed, there's a growing hostility towards alternate life forms such as ourselves.
And we mutants have to look out for one another.
You're welcome to visit our headquarters.
You can see for yourselves the benefits of joining our group.
Man, there's something wonky about all this.
What are you talking about? These guys saved our tails.
Twice.
Maybe, but I want to know more about these guys and their group.
Whoa, nice digs.
DONATELLO: And digs is right.
This place must be right under the waterfront.
Our guests would like to meet Titanus.
Uh, we would? The leader of our organization.
He can tell you more about us.
Ah, the famous Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Don't tell me.
Titanus? The same.
I created this sanctuary for my fellow mutants.
We mutants have special talents which set us apart from the humans.
We need a place where we are not outcasts.
If this appeals to you, you are most welcome to join us.
Uh, c-c-could we have a moment to ourselves? Of course.
I don't like this.
What's the big deal? It's mutants helping mutants.
And you have to admit, it beats that musty old lair.
Okay.
But how did they afford all this? And where did all these mutants come from? Yeah, when mutants pop out of the woodwork, it's usually bad news.
And I don't like the way Amok and OverDrive took on the police.
Hello? They were helping us.
And have any of you noticed what Highly Advanced Variety of Creatures stands for? H-A-V-O-C.
Havoc.
I say there's something rotten about all this.
Well, let's get another opinion.
[TURTLECOM BEEPS.]
April here.
Have you ever heard of a group of mutants called-- H.
A.
V.
O.
C.
? Yeah.
It's some sort of pro-mutant organization.
In fact, some of their members are due here in about an hour.
They are? Mm-hm.
They're going to tape a rebuttal to Burne's latest anti-mutant tirade about all those mysterious abductions.
Now, doesn't that sound sinister? But, listen, guys, there's something more important.
A half a dozen science labs have been broken into tonight.
LEONARDO: What's been stolen? That's the weird part, nothing.
Hm.
Sounds like we better look into this.
Ah, let the humans sort it out for a change.
Yeah, all we ever do is help the humans and all we get is rejection.
Look, I'm not going to stop doing what's right just because it isn't appreciated.
Fine, drop us a card sometime.
Yeah, if the humans don't arrest you first.
Compadres, you're really not coming? No way.
Then I guess this means we're splitting up.
[SIRENS WAILING.]
Dude, do you realize what just happened? Raphael and Donatello just split the team.
I know, I know.
But we've got to find out what's behind those lab break-ins.
Even if it's just the two of us.
Does this mean the show will only be half as long next week? You are welcome to explore our underground sanctuary.
Now, I must prepare my mutant representatives for their appearance on Channel 6.
Well, let's check it out.
MICHELANGELO: Man, it looks like a tornado hit this place.
I'll say, right through the center of the room.
Whoever these dudes were, they sure went to a lot of trouble not to take anything.
They must be looking for something they haven't found yet.
Hey, that gives me an idea.
MICHELANGELO: Don't tell me we're lost, dude.
Nothing of the sort.
April said the crooks hit labs here and here and here.
And we're here.
Which means the next place they might hit is here, at the city university.
Well, so get the lead out, dude.
If we hurry we might get the drop on them.
This place sure is big.
Hey, what's that? Hm.
I wonder what's behind this? D-D-Donatello, it says: "Do not enter.
" I'm not entering, I'm just listening.
What on earth? There's some kind of machinery in there.
Something big from the sound of it.
Donatello, let's leave well enough alone, okay? Come on, where's your scientific curiosity? I think I left it in my other shell.
Who let all these mutants in here? You did, chief.
They're here to tape that pro-mutant rebuttal.
I don't see why the FCC should make me give valuable airtime to a bunch of mutants.
You humans have pushed us around long enough.
Save the threats for your rebuttal, weirdos.
Here's our rebuttal to you, humans.
[SCREAMS.]
You are our prisoners now.
And you won't be spreading any more lies about us, Mr.
Thompson.
What makes you think you can stop me from telling the truth about you mutants? Simple, we're taking your transmitter.
Bring the prisoners.
Here.
That did it.
Activate the mutation ray.
Ah.
What are you doing to me? These guys don't protect mutants.
They make mutants.
The turtles.
Poking your beaks where they don't belong, eh? You won't get away from us.
You're dreaming, Mud-for-Brains.
On the other hand, you-- You could have a point.
Grab them, Seizure.
No sweat, Magma.
Not so fast, Four Arms.
Boy, he must be handy around the house.
All right, Lava Breath, prepare to be turtle-ized.
Ha-ha-ha.
I hope your shell is heatproof.
Well, this is another fine mess you've gotten us into.
This is the very, very, very last lab on the list.
It must be here.
It must be.
The lens.
There it is, there it is! HIGHBEAM: Grab it, OverDrive.
You're the dude who's going to get grabbed.
Oh, yeah? Try and catch me.
[SNIGGERS.]
Whoa! [GRUNTS.]
Got it.
I knew you mutants were up to no good.
Ha-ha-ha.
You don't know the half of it, buster.
[CACKLES.]
Come on, HighBeam, I got the lens.
Let's move, let's move.
Wait, we must make sure these turtles don't follow us.
That'll hold them.
We've got to get to the door.
But we'll never make it through all that fire.
Fellow dude, I think we're about to become barbeque turtles.
[.]
If we don't put that fire out, we're going to get char-broiled.
Maybe we could douse it with some of this stuff.
What's the label say? Nothing, just nitroglycerin.
Michelangelo, no! Whoa.
What happened? The explosion blew out the fire.
Michelangelo, you did it.
Boy, am I a brilliant dude or what? Now we've got the find out what those H.
A.
V.
O.
C.
mutants are really up to.
And what they want that lens for.
I am most gravely displeased.
I offer you the hospitality and protection of my palace and you turn against me.
You're in a dirty business, bub.
How many innocent people have you turned into mutants, Titanus? I merely improved their genetic makeup.
Humans are inferior to us in every way.
And any mutant who opposes us is a traitor.
So I offer you a simple choice, join H.
A.
V.
O.
C.
or seal your doom? Go suck a lemon, Frog Face.
We'll never join you.
As you wish, then.
Titanus, we have the transmitter and the prisoners from Channel 6.
[CACKLES.]
And I have the transmission lens.
TITANUS: And I got my wish.
We must help him up with the transmitter.
Ungh! Help me pry the door open.
This should get us loose.
Hurry.
The sooner we're away from those mutants, the better I'll feel.
[GRUNTING.]
You can stay down there with the rest of the trash, turtles.
Jeez, this is just like being back in the sewers.
[WALLS CREAK.]
DONATELLO: Except in the sewers the walls stay put.
RAPHAEL: Ah, terrific, what more can happen to us? I had to ask.
We're going to be jettisoned into the river with the garbage.
Maybe we can get that hatch open.
[BANGING.]
It's coming from down there.
Come on, Donatello.
Ungh.
If we don't get this thing open, we're goners.
It's the turtles.
I knew it! They're in league with these mutant maniacs.
No, Burne, no, we've got to help them.
We sure were saps for thinking those mutants were our friends.
Yeah, but I haven't noticed the humans doing us any favors lately.
You were saying? Burne? I don't believe it.
Okay, okay.
Don't think this makes you something special.
I take back every rotten thing I ever said about humans.
What's happened here? The humans have escaped.
Well, find them.
While I make the final adjustments to my mutation generator.
Whatever these mutants are up to, we've gotta stop 'em.
AMOK: You'll never stop us, Shell Backs.
RAPTOR: If you'll not join our crusade, you'll be eliminated.
Get ready to be blindsided, turtle.
[GRUNTS.]
Whoa.
OVERDRIVE: Ha-ha-ha.
You've got to be fast, fast, faster than that, slowpoke.
I'm going to squash you in your shell.
[GRUNTS.]
If only our compadres were here.
Ungh.
They made their choice.
We've got to handle this without them.
No, you don't, Leonardo.
Ha.
You're nothing but a bunch of human-loving cowards.
Just for that, I'm going to clip your wings, Bird Brain.
[YELPS.]
Hey, take a shot at me, you dumb ox.
With pleasure, reptile.
[GRUNTS.]
I don't feel so good.
You-- Y-Y-You dirty turtles.
I'll mow you down.
Mellow out, you speed demon.
[YELPING.]
LEONARDO: So you still think H.
A.
V.
O.
C.
is just a friendly little club? Okay, okay, we got the moral of the episode already.
Besides, we've got bigger things to worry about.
They're got a mutation machine.
And those mutants stole the Channel 6 transmitter.
And we saw them steal some kind of lens from the university science lab.
Hey, I think I know what Titanus is up to.
And we've got to stop him.
Fast.
Now, with the addition of the transmission lens and this broadcasting equipment, I'll be able to mutate anyone in the city just by aiming the ray upward.
Before the night is over, I'll have hundreds of new mutants to add to my army.
Your recruiting campaign just got cancelled, Titanus.
You pathetic reptiles, I'll crush you.
Yuck.
And he can do it too.
Let's take him.
Whoa! TURTLES: Whoa! [GRUNTING.]
[GRUNTING.]
Whoa, that is one awesomely heavy dude.
And you call yourselves mutants? Heh.
This should be no problem to fix.
We've got to draw him towards us.
Are you nuts? Remember, the first principal of judo.
When in doubt, run for the hills? No.
The bigger they come, they harder they fall.
And if your opponent pushes, you pull.
Okay, Titanus, come and get us.
[WHISTLING.]
Over here, Ram Boy.
This time I'll finish you.
LEONARDO: Everybody pull.
[GROANING.]
[GRUNTS.]
My mutation generator.
[GROANS.]
Come on, let's beat it before that tub of lard gets himself upright.
Now do you believe we're the good guys, Burne? I can't thank you four enough for what you've done.
You saved our lives.
Now I'm going to call the cops and get my transmitter back.
Mr.
Thompson, the police will never be able to get past all those mutants.
Besides, your transmitter kind of got smashed up a little when we escaped from Titanus.
You smash-- What? Do you know how much it'll cost to replace that thing? This is the second time you've knocked my station off the air.
Mr.
Thompson, they had to do it to save the city.
What's your point? Who cares? Can a mutant be sued? Man, there's just no pleasing some dudes.
DONATELLO: At least those mutants are out of commission.
LEONARDO: I doubt it, Donatello.
We may have put a dent in H.
A.
V.
O.
C.
, but we didn't shut them down.
We haven't seen the last of Titanus.
Not by a long shot.
