The Amazing Race Canada (2013) s05e03 Episode Script

It's Like Ducks In the Forest

1 EBONIE: Go, go, go! JON: Nine teams landed in Fort McMurray, Alberta.
ANDREA: Welcome to Alberta! JON: In the roadblock KENNETH: Woo! JON: Kenneth and Ryan dominated the competition, finding all three express passes.
RYAN: Ya! JON: But got schooled in a math challenge KENNETH: Dammit! JON: forcing Give'r to spend some of their new currency to get back in the race If you guys tell us, we'll give it to you.
BERT: Deal.
BOTH: [singing.]
Express pass, express pass.
JON: leaving them with one more express pass to give away.
We're gonna expect something in return.
MEGAN: Okay, this is easy.
Okay.
JON: And Megan and Courtney flexed their mental muscles MEGAN: Oh my god! JON: jumping to the front of the pack Team number one! [screaming excitedly.]
JON: Dan and Riya and Korey and Ivana ended up in a shootout for last place.
KOREY: We gotta go! This is too close for comfort! JON: eliminating Dan and Riya from the race.
You two are the last team to arrive.
JON: Now, eight teams remain as they race to win the next-generation 2018 Chevrolet Equinox True North Edition, a once in a lifetime trip for two around the world, a quarter of a million dollars cash, and The Amazing Race Canada.
JON: This is Fort McMurray, Alberta's gateway to the north, and home to the Athabasca Oil Sands, one of the largest single oil deposits in the world.
And it's here that teams will begin the third leg on The Amazing Race Canada.
Megan and Courtney won the last leg of the race and will depart first at 11:43 am.
MEGAN & COURTNEY: Route info.
Fly to Castlegar, British Columbia.
COURTNEY: Aah! We're going back to BC, baby! JON: Teams must now travel southwest from Fort McMurray to the Kootenay Rockies of British Columbia, landing in the peaceful mountain town of Castlegar.
Framed by mountains covered in ice and snow where rushing rivers and crystal-clear lakes collide, the Kootenays are one of British Columbia's many mountain playgrounds.
COURTNEY: Do you see a cab? COURTNEY: We're starting the third leg of the race in first place.
There's no way to describe how proud we are of ourselves.
Newfoundland's gonna go wild! Fly to Castlegar, British Columbia.
EBONIE: Let's do it! ANDREA: Let's go! ANDREA: First leg, we got seventh place.
Second leg, second place.
The next move up would be first place.
Girl power! PAUL: Let's go.
PAUL: The biggest threat now is Ryan and Kenneth, because they have the express passes.
We're gonna do what we can to get one of those.
We'll just have a nice conversation with them.
KAREN: You have $250 on your BMO Cashback Mastercard for this leg of the race.
In the last leg, we received our express pass, and now we're going to use that to move up to first.
BERT: Yup.
KENNETH: Fly to Castlegar, British Columbia! RYAN: What?! KENNETH: Oh my god! RYAN: Woo! RYAN: We've been living in Roslin, BC KENNETH: Which is 25 minutes from Castlegar! We know this area like the back of our hand! RYAN: And we've got the express passes.
KENNETH: And we have the express passes! We have one more to give away.
PAUL: I know you guys got the express pass.
We think there's a benefit for you guys to give us one.
We've come up with a plan.
RYAN: We're just gonna initiate that plan.
PAUL: Yeah, yeah.
SAM: Okay.
RYAN: We do not want to give an express pass to a strong physical team.
We have a genius idea.
Oh! COURTNEY: Mmm KENNETH: You mind if we sit and join you? COURTNEY: Oh my god, not at all.
KENNETH: Cool.
We want to give you the express pass.
Oh my god, are you serious? KENNETH: We feel you're a super strong team mentally, and we struggle a little bit with that.
If you need help, we will help you.
We'll see you on the flight.
MEGAN & COURTNEY: Yes, mm-hm.
KENNETH: Ya! Kenneth and Ryan just gave us the express pass.
What?! Are they idiots? We just got first place! Idiots.
MEGAN: We would never give the first place team the express pass.
COURTNEY: Mm-mm, never.
KENNETH: That's how we do it.
Fly to Castlegar.
ADAM: Woo! IVANA: Let's go! KOREY: Woo! IVANA: We're starting this leg in last, but we're finishing first.
KOREY: First.
IVANA: Woo! JON: All teams are now traveling from Fort McMurray, Alberta to Castlegar, British Columbia.
Once they touch down, they'll load into the all-new electric 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV, where they'll find their next clue.
SAM: Woo! Woo! MEGAN: Let's go, baby! KENNETH: Ya, ya! COURTNEY: They're beautiful! Drive yourselves to Zuckerberg Island and search for your next clue.
Your Chevrolet Bolt is equipped with Regen-on-Demand, which helps the driver conserve energy used by the vehicle.
JON: More than just a sweet set of wheels, the all-electric Chevrolet Bolt EV is a fine-tuned, energy-efficient vehicle.
In this leg, racers will be tasked with using the car's regenerative braking feature to conserve energy as they drive.
The team that checks into the pit stop at the end of this leg with the most efficient drive will win a $5000 cash prize from Chevrolet.
ZED: $5000 cash! SHABBIR: Wow! KENNETH: Sick! RYAN: Sweet! KENNETH: Let's do it! COURTNEY: I think we may have this because you just drive so efficiently anyways, so getting the five grand, I don't think it'll be that hard.
SAM: Zuckerberg Island, yeah.
Good, good, good.
Perfect.
PAUL: Yup, there it is there.
SAM: Let's go, let's go, let's go.
Okay, we've gotta get out of this car quick, dude, okay? SAM: Woo! It's time for a camp inspection.
Tried, tested and true, with a legacy almost as old as this country, Woods has been outfitting adventurers in Canada's backyard and beyond since 1885.
JON: Scattered across Zuckerberg Island, teams will find 10 seemingly identical campsites, all outfitted in Woods outdoor gear.
But, identical they are not.
After finding the Woods example campsite, and analyzing the 18 items it's equipped with, teams must search the island to find the nine other campsites.
Then, spot the one difference at each site that has been altered from the example campsite.
Once they've correctly noted the one discrepancy at each site this camper, James, will give them their next clue.
PAUL: Okay.
PAUL: The key to this challenge is writing down everything about the example campsite.
I'm gonna start from the outside in.
KENNETH: The inside out.
RYAN: The inside out.
Four bowls on top, two cups on either side.
KENNETH: Good job, buddy.
Foldy thingy in bowl.
Let's go.
RYAN: Should we go down by the water first? KENNETH: Yeah.
RYAN: Back in the Kootenays, dude! BOTH: Yoo-hoo! PAUL: Maybe we should go.
SAM: Okay.
RYAN: There's one down here, Kenny.
KENNETH: Cut through! Just bushwhack it! Camp Bald Eagle.
Let's start at the beginning.
RYAN: Deluxe folding wagon KENNETH: Enamel set RYAN: Okay.
KENNETH: It's quite difficult to spot the differences.
RYAN: Dude, this is some serious attention to detail stuff.
It's not that items are missing.
It's how they're arranged.
RYAN: Oh, Kenneth! This, whatever that is, is supposed to be in there.
KENNETH: Nootka cook set.
Now we have a good idea of how this is working.
RYAN: Ya, buddy! SAM: Dandelion.
SAM: I would say I'm a big-picture person.
PAUL: Man, this is hard.
I'm not that detail oriented.
SAM: I'm not getting it.
PAUL: Do you wanna go back? SAM: Yeah.
ADAM: Let's go! Come on, Andrea! ANDREA: Oh! PAUL: All the teams are here, babe! ADAM: Can you draw this, Andrea? ANDREA: I can draw it.
ANDREA: I am a graphic designer.
Drawing is definitely a strong suit for me.
I just draw the entire example of the campground and it's like I have the example with me.
ADAM: You got it? ANDREA: Yeah, I got it.
ADAM: Okay.
ADAM: In this challenge, we're gonna work with Andrea and Ebonie.
We have a bond with them, being from the same hometown.
Four brains are better than two.
EBONIE: Montreal killing it! So this is Walleye? KAREN: Yeah, Camp Walleye.
ADAM: I think I got it, guys.
ANDREA: Yeah? ADAM: The chairs are switched Blue and brown.
ANDREA: We're good! Oh my god! ADAM: Oh, baby! PAUL: Camp Wild Rose.
SAM: The lid of the growler.
PAUL: Nice.
Let's keep going! Go, push! SAM: I'm looking, babe.
PAUL: Okay, sorry, sorry, sorry.
IVANA: Right here, right here.
Tables.
KOREY: The chair is folded down.
That's what it is.
[in funny accent.]
Keep out of here, okay? IVANA: Watch your step.
KOREY: You too.
IVANA: This is dangerous.
IVANA: I am absolutely not a camper.
I don't have interest in camping.
I like hotels.
IVANA: Whoa! KOREY: Babe, you okay? Come on.
IVANA: Yeah, wipeout, wipeout, wipeout! SHABBIR: Let's go.
You lead, I'll follow.
My dad put me in Cub Scouts when I was a kid, so I'm super-familiar with tents.
SHABBIR: I grew up as a cub scout.
I was a leader for many years.
SHABBIR: I see a tent there.
I think we have a good shot.
ZED: Where did you see a tent, dad? SHABBIR: Sorry! It's a bench that I saw.
I'm wrong.
ZED: There's one over here, Dad.
Dad? Dad! COURTNEY: Okay, what one is this? MEGAN: Bald Eagle.
COURTNEY: The handle for the pot.
MEGAN: kay, let's go.
COURTNEY: We have three or four we're certain of, right? MEGAN: Yeah.
EBONIE: We're working great as a team.
We're killing it.
ANDREA: Dandelion.
That's the only one that's missing.
EBONIE: This, this, this, this.
ANDREA: Guys, guys! EBONIE: What is it? ADAM: The window.
ANDREA: Window.
EBONIE: Yes! Okay, that's it, that's it! ANDREA: Good job, girls.
Let's go back.
Can we have a check, please? Congratulations.
Thank you.
Drive yourselves to Oso Negro Roastery in Nelson, BC.
JON: Teams will now make their way 45 kilometers from Castlegar to the town of Nelson, and search the peaceful streets to find the Oso Negro Coffee Roastery.
ANDREA: Go, go, go.
ANDREA: Montreal, baby! EBONIE: Yes! BERT: It's Dandelion; that's our sticker.
This one's a tricky one.
SHABBIR: Have we got through all of them? ZED: No.
Hey, you guys wanna work together? IVANA: How many do you guys have? ZED: We have seven.
IVANA: Okay.
SHABBIR: Work together, get out of here together.
IVANA: Smart.
KOREY: That's right.
KOREY: You're looking for Elk? SHABBIR: Yeah.
IVANA: Four-piece stainless cup, steel.
KOREY: Rainbow trout? ZED: [Inaudible.]
is Rainbow Trout.
IVANA: We got it, we got it, we got it.
We got it.
Let's go.
Congratulations.
Thank you very much.
Appreciate it.
ZED: Let's go.
Here's your next clue.
IVANA: Thank you! Aah! [screaming excitedly.]
RYAN: Okay, dude, down to Dandelion.
RYAN: We start seeing people flock away We need to get outta here! KENNETH: There's something wrong here.
What haven't we used? Did we try the wagon? Â ANDREA: This is such a cute town! We even have the Montreal girls, and we're trying to see if they know where they're going.
EBONIE: This is it, this is it.
Park.
ADAM: Look for a marker.
There's gotta be a marker.
ANDREA: This is Oso whatever, right? ANDREA 2: Is this it? ANDREA: That doesn't look like it.
IVANA: Nelson, Nelson, Nelson.
There's no signs for Nelson.
It's so difficult to tell if you're going the right way if you don't know where you are.
ZED: Oh, there it is.
ZED: I think we're the first team there.
JON: The Oso Negro Coffee Company specializes in creating unique blends of coffee.
Here, teams will test their physical endurance and navigation skills by picking up two custom coffee orders and delivering them on foot trough the hilly streets to local businesses tucked away in the confusing streets and alleyways of Nelson.
Once their two deliveries have been completed, racers must return to the roastery to receive their next clue.
ZED: Okay, come on.
SHABBIR: Okay.
SHABBIR: You memorize one.
I memorize one.
Okay, let's do it.
ZED: These hills are steep.
SHABBIR: We can't take the car, eh? ZED: No.
SHABBIR: Oh my god, my knees are killing me.
EBONIE: It's right there! Oso Negro, yes.
ADAM: We need light organic blend, two pounds.
ADAM: In this challenge, everyone has different orders.
So we have to go to different places.
EBONIE: This is Baker.
ANDREA: Okay.
ADAM: Okay, let's go.
ANDREA: Why do I have all the bags? ADAM: Uh, gimme, gimme.
ANDREA: No, we're good, we're good, go, go! COURTNEY: Hurry, go, girl.
Let's just try it.
Hey, there.
Congratulations.
BOTH: Thank you so much.
COURTNEY: We got it, we got it! RYAN: Megan and Courtney got it? Girls, we need you right now! RYAN: Kenneth, come on.
COURTNEY: What're you looking for? Hurry, tell me.
RYAN: We need Elk and Dandelion.
COURTNEY: Tent and cups.
Tents and cups, you got it.
MEGAN: Woo! Oh this is getting frustrating now.
This is it.
Congratulations.
Here's your next clue.
Yes! Thank you, sir! Go, go, Kenneth.
Megan and Courtney come through for us.
Legends.
BOTH: Ya! Congratulations.
PAUL: Thank you so much.
SAM: Thank you very much.
PAUL: Let's go, let's go.
Woo! KAREN: [whispers.]
Damn! BERT: We're the last team.
We are the last team, and it feels like garbage.
KAREN: Check, sir.
BERT: Just relax.
CAMPER: Your answers are incorrect.
Argh! It's Dandelion; that's our sticker.
KAREN: I have no idea what this last thing is that we are missing.
What about the tent itself? BERT: Could it be the flaps, in case they had one down or something? KAREN: Let's try it.
[sighs.]
Congratulations.
BERT: [laughs.]
CAMPER: Here's your next clue.
KAREN: Let's go.
I kind of wish we used that express pass.
Shoulda, coulda, woulda.
We're here now.
SHABBIR: Maybe through that door.
ZED: Yeah, it's right here.
Yo, keep the receipt.
CLERK: There you go.
SHABBIR: Okay, wonderful.
Thank you very much.
One down! One to go! ADAM: Come on.
622 Heritage Lane.
This challenge involves navigation, and navigation is not our strong suit.
ANDREA: We went to the wrong spot.
ADAM: There's no addresses on lanes.
COURTNEY: Look for Oso.
It's right here, it's right here, it's right here! MEGAN: Ah! IVANA: Is this it? KOREY: On the right, babe? Right side.
Mm, I smell it! COURTNEY: We need these three in a dark roast.
MEGAN: Okay! MEGAN: We have to run down this giant hill with coffee, and then run all the ways back up.
It's gonna suck.
COURTNEY: Oh my god, that's so much running! KOREY: We gotta memorize where we're going.
IVANA: How are you gonna remember 604? KOREY: 604 Ward, 604 Ward.
It rhymes.
Ward's over here! SHABBIR: I'm so wiped.
I've got a [inaudible.]
blend for you guys.
CLERK: Oh, there you go, then.
SHABBIR: Now we have to go back to the roastery and get the clue.
SHABBIR: My hamstrings are killing me! ZED: If you feel it in your hamstrings, walk backwards.
SHABBIR: Backwards does help for the hamstrings.
ZED: Yeah.
RYAN: We're in Nelson, dude.
It is just amazing.
This town has a very special spot in my heart.
When I was back in college here in Nelson, I had two very close buddies die doing what they love: skiing in the mountains.
And it hit me extremely hard.
I knew from that point I need to embrace every moment life throws at us, and that's where "give'r" took off.
Will and Dave, this leg is for you.
KENNETH: Oso Negro.
RYAN: I got three, three.
KENNETH: We're gonna be carrying lots of coffee.
Let's go.
We got this.
RYAN: Oh yeah, we do! This is our town.
PAUL: Let's go.
SAM: I smell coffee.
SAM: I'm gonna remember the first one; you're gonna remember the last one.
Let's boogie.
KAREN: We do not want to go home with an unused express pass.
BERT: We'd like to use our express pass for this challenge.
CLERK: Here's the clue.
KAREN: We just went from last to first! Roadblock.
Who wants to hang with Bob? JON: Spanning the narrows of the Kootenay River, the big orange bridge is affectionately known as "Bob.
" In this roadblock, one teammember will get into the swing of things as they hang out with Bob.
Bomb's away! Woo-hoo-hoo-hoo! JON: After harnessing in, racers will take a big leap and swing like a pendulum, releasing themselves at just the right moment [jumper screaming.]
JON: to land as close as possible to the orange buoy where they'll find their next clue.
Then, they'll need to swim ashore and fight the swift and icy waters of the Kootenay River to reunite with their partner, and keep on racing.
I'll handle Bob.
Bert's gonna handle Bob.
BERT: "Jump off the big orange bridge" is what I thought.
[laughs.]
So be it.
So be it.
ZED: Good work.
How you doing? Congratulations.
SHABBIR: Woo! [laughs.]
I love Bob! I wanna hang with Bob.
SHABBIR: You've got the keys, right? ZED: Yeah.
EBONIE: There! CLERK: There you are.
EBONIE: Thank you so much! ANDREA: Thank you! SAM: Excuse us! PAUL: We have a delivery order.
Thank you.
KOREY: Got an order for you, my brother.
CLERK: How's your morning going? KOREY: High in cardio.
CLERK: Wait till you gotta start going back up the hill.
IVANA: Can't wait! KOREY: Oh, thanks, man.
We're in Nelson! BOTH: Ya! Ya-ha! KENNETH: We're done, baby! Let's go! Ya! KENNETH: Welcome to Nelson.
You wanna get your glutes in shape? This is the town to do it in.
[all panting.]
KOREY: You can jog this, baby.
Just another treadmill.
Just breathe.
BERT: Okay, I see the sign.
KAREN: Yeah, I see the sign too.
KAREN: We are the first team here.
BERT: For this roadblock, I have to swing off the big orange bridge.
KAREN: I'm so terrified because I know he's not a fan of heights or water.
You've got this, boo! BERT: I'm trying to figure out how far I need to go till I drop.
Sometimes it's best to just do the damn thing.
BERT: Aah! KAREN: [screams.]
KAREN: [screams.]
Geeze! Go, baby! Go, go, go! Ya, babe! Â Woo! Come on, Zed! Let's go, buddy! 3, 2, 1, bye! Oh! Woo! Ya! Oh, look at that swimmer! Come on, Zed! Good boy! Come on, Zeddy! EBONIE: Oso Negro, yes.
PAUL: Keep going.
SAM: Yeah.
CLERK: Congratulations.
ANDREA & EBONIE: Thank you! ANDREA: Roadblock.
Who wants to hang with Bob? ANDREA: I'll do it.
EBONIE: Okay.
SAM: That's gonna be me.
KOREY: I'll hang.
KOREY: Hanging.
KENNETH: Ya! KENNETH: Who wants to hang with Bob? RYAN: I do! I do! KENNETH: You do! RYAN: Ya, I do! KENNETH: You got this! KAREN: You're doing great, boo! Keep going! Head over towards the dock! Yes! Woooooo! BERT: [groans.]
KAREN: Detour Strike it or Throw it.
JON: In this detour, teams will get a chance to showcase their inner artist.
It's their call, Throw it or Strike it.
In Throw it, teams will get behind the wheel, and master the messy art of sculpting ceramics.
Ooh-hoo-hoo! An ancient art form that requires an extreme amount of patience and precision, molding clay pottery can take years to master, and one wrong move can see your hard work fall apart in your hands.
Using only their hands, water, and a set of potters' tools, racers must properly centre and throw these messy balls of clay into two cups.
Once they've thrown a masterpiece, this expert potter will give them their next clue.
In Strike it, teams must strike while the iron's hot, and take this metal rod, and shape it into a decorative hook.
The art of metalsmithing requires physical strength, a good sense of rhythm, and an understanding of the intricate steps involved to bend and shape metals.
Using these tools and the burning heat from this blast furnace, teams must shape these metal rods into two exact replicas of this coat hook.
Once teams have forged two perfect hooks, this metalsmith will give them their next clue.
We're gonna Strike it.
My man just jumped off a bridge.
And he did great.
SHABBIR: You did good, my boy! Good boy.
We're gonna do Throw it.
SHABBIR: We gotta get out of here ASAP.
COURTNEY: Megan, please just fast walk! MEGAN: Okay, sorry! COURTNEY: Megan carries all the coffee, but I'm the slowest runner and I was still behind her.
[laughs.]
COURTNEY: These are the challenges that put us behind.
Oh! ANDREA: Look, 621! ADAM: Go, go, go! You guys are tough to find! CLERK: Yeah.
ADAM: Good, done? CLERK: That's it.
ADAM: Okay, thank you! Let's go, come on.
Roadblock.
Who wants to hang with Bob? ANDREA: Let me do it.
Andrea's doing it.
Andrea's doing it.
ANDREA: Oh my god.
How high is this bridge? KOREY: Is it on Victoria? IVANA: Uh KOREY: I think it was.
IVANA: What's straight ahead? Is it straight ahead? KOREY: Capital IVANA: Straight ahead.
IVANA: We have no idea where we're going.
We are definitely using up a lot of energy in this car.
PAUL: Good job, Sam! You got this! Wow, this is ridiculous.
RYAN: The big orange bridge.
KENNETH: Yeah, take a left here.
Here we go.
Ow! PAUL: Let go! Let go! SAM: Wahhh! PAUL: Let go! Let go! [laughs.]
RYAN: I'm feelin' good! This is my thing, dude.
You got this, dude! Give'r.
KENNETH: Ya! Nice! What's up? How ya feelin'? Â BERT: There, Selkirk College.
KAREN: Perfect.
BERT: Let's go do it.
Ceramics studio Metal studio! KAREN: For this detour, we have to make two perfect hooks.
First, we have to heat up the rod, and taper it to a point.
BERT: Then, hammer the tip into a curl, and use the horn of the anvil to make the big curl.
METALSMITH: This has to be flat or it won't sit on the wall.
Back on the anvil, give it a good blow right there.
There you go.
Easy! BERT: We've never done anything like this.
I do music, but not heavy metal.
[electric guitar sound.]
METALSMITH: Good luck.
BERT: We only want to do it once.
KAREN: Hit, turn, hit, turn.
Good, babe.
Yeah, that's beautiful, babe.
[kissing.]
It is hot in here.
Hoo! SHABBIR: Selkirk College.
There it is.
School of Arts.
Okay, let's go.
ZED: Let's do this.
SHABBIR: Let's get this party started.
ZED: Okay, there we go.
Oh no, maybe not.
Oh-oh, okay.
I need a new one.
It's pretty tough! Dad, yours is messy already.
Yeah, I know, I know.
I'm gonna try and fix it.
Oh, boy.
I'm off to a bit of a shaky start, but I'm not giving up yet.
[goose honking.]
Let's do this! This is for every risk-taker out there! Woo! EBONIE: Oh my god! Come on, girl, you're awesome! PAUL: Good job, Sam! One, two, three.
SAM: Ah! Ah KENNETH: That's it! That's it! Give'r! We are right behind the boys! Let's go! We're doing Strike it.
KENNETH: Let's do metal.
RYAN: Okay.
EBONIE: I'm gonna help you up! ANDREA: [groans.]
EBONIE: That's it! Ya! [laughs.]
Come on.
EBONIE: We're gonna do Throw it.
ANDREA: Yeah.
COURTNEY: Are you expecting some coffee? CLERK: We are.
Here's your receipt.
COURTNEY: Thank you so much.
COURTNEY: Oh my god, I'm exhausted! Congratulations.
MEGAN: I'll do it.
COURTNEY: Okay, you do it.
MEGAN: I'll do it.
COURTNEY: I hope we're not last! ANDREA: This is insane! I don't want to jump off a bridge.
ADAM: Come on, Dre! I'm terrified of heights.
Oh my god Oh my god.
This is stupid.
Hoo Oh! Come on, Dre, come on Oh, I don't wanna do this.
ANDREA: I am terrified on this bridge.
I don't wanna do it.
ADAM: Come on, Dre! ANDREA: But I have no choice.
We're far behind at this point.
ADAM: Ya! That's it, Andrea! My sister is bad-ass.
ANDREA: Let's get the hell out of here! We're gonna Throw it.
Okay, let's smash this detour.
RYAN: Oh, right there.
Let's go, buddy.
SAM: Oh, I'm exhausted! Karen and Bert are a couple sets ahead of us.
KAREN: We've just got to the first curve.
We're gonna get them both right first try.
BERT: There it goes.
You see it curling in more? KAREN: That looks great! BERT: Okay KAREN: You should be a blacksmith! KENNETH: We're fired up just like that furnace! Yes, there you go! That's the hook.
RYAN: That looks good.
KENNETH: That does look good.
RYAN: I'm just not sure of the step after this.
Sam is killin' it right now! SAM: To be honest, I'm feeling like a master craftsman right now.
We're definitely getting the hang of it.
I think it's good.
Excuse me, sir, can we check one? METALSMITH: You need a nice, straight back so it sits nice and flat on a wall.
Okay.
KAREN: Our first hook is not quite flat enough to hang on a wall.
We know what we're doing is right, but we just have to work out the details.
SHABBIR: It's so relaxing.
For someone who's not very artistic, I'm slowly getting it, I believe.
ZED: Dad, that does not look like art.
ZED: My cylinder looks like a work of art.
His Abstract, at best.
ZED: Check, please.
POTTER: This one's good.
But, I'm sorry, you're going to have to try it again.
SHABBIR: Oh ZED: Can I take over for you? Can I just try? SHABBIR: Yeah.
IVANA: Are you joking right now? This is ridiculous! KOREY: There are not a lot of road signs.
BC is so laid back, probably just a little too laid back at times, you know.
IVANA: Do you happen to know where Bob Bridge is? So, just stay on this street, we'll get there? GUY: That's it.
IVANA: What a joke.
COURTNEY: Good job, Megan! You can do it! Ahh! Woo! COURTNEY: Go, Megan, go! Megan, go! Swim! Go, go! Ya, girl! You're right here, Megan.
You're right next to me.
You're honestly like six feet away.
She's not really.
Yes! BOTH: We're gonna do Throw it.
ANDREA: Ceramics studio.
It's here.
SHABBIR: Hi, ladies.
ANDREA: Oh, man.
This feels like meditation.
[laughs.]
EBONIE: I like it.
Girl, this is sexy.
Rrr [chuckles.]
EBONIE: You need to get it a bit more centered.
ADAM: Hello, hi.
SHABBIR: Okay, team Adam and Andrea are here.
ANDREA: I haven't done this since I was, like, 12 years old.
ADAM: I haven't done this ever.
ANDREA: I hope it's like riding a bike.
ADAM: I think Andrea's got this under control.
This is right in her "wheel" house! ANDREA: [scoffs.]
Hopefully, we can do the challenge quickly.
COURTNEY: If we have to use the express pass, whatever, we'll do it.
But, like, I don't want to right now.
MEGAN: No, we're gonna really try.
COURTNEY: This is pottery.
MEGAN: Oh, yeah.
POTTER: Squish the clay so that it shoots up into a nice, tall cone.
That looks really hard.
COURTNEY: We cannot do this.
Like, we're not artsy fartsy people.
COURTNEY: We're gonna switch.
We're gonna switch.
It's okay.
COURTNEY: I'm thinking we can do this one.
How in the world do I put this on? Okay.
KOREY: How many cars do we see that we recognize? Zero.
KOREY: We finally get to the roadblock, and we're in last place.
Wow! That's it, baby! [screams.]
KOREY: Drop it! Nice! Let's go! Ya! Keep kicking, girl! Keep kicking! That backstroke was electric.
I loved it.
IVANA: Throw it.
KOREY: You wanna throw it? IVANA: Yes.
KOREY: Okay, "Throw it" it is.
IVANA: Let's go.
Curl, oh, curl.
Keep bringing that down.
'Atta boy.
I'm happy with that.
BERT: Pretty nice teardrop.
Can we get a check? METALSMITH: Good work! KAREN: Yes! Can I kiss you? PAUL: Looks pretty good.
Let's cut it off.
PAUL: Can we get a check? METALSMITH: Nice work! SAM: Yeah? RYAN: The boys just got one done.
We got this.
Okay, that looks good.
KENNETH: Can we get a check on that one? RYAN: Come on, please! METALSMITH: This needs to be a little tighter.
Okay.
That's alright.
Starting again.
Another rod.
COURTNEY: Oh my god, this is so scary.
MEGAN: Okay.
COURTNEY: Oh my god, this is heavy.
MEGAN: Keep going.
COURTNEY: I don't wanna get burned! METALSMITH: Stop hitting the anvil! MEGAN: Sorry! METALSMITH: Hit the red stuff! COURTNEY: We're trying! ANDREA: Can we have a check, please? EBONIE: On this one.
POTTER: It's pretty wonky.
ANDREA: Okay.
EBONIE: Can I get a check on this one, please? You're going to have to try again.
EBONIE: Oh [sighs.]
My god! Check, please.
POTTER: Yours is good.
ANDREA: Sweet, thank you! ADAM: I know nothing about pottery, so when I heard one person could do two cups, I was ecstatic.
I have one more cup to make.
SHABBIR: Oh, good job, good job.
We'll be out of here soon.
ZED: Okay, I think we're good.
Check, please.
Alright, guys.
SHABBIR: Yeah, awesome! ZED: Woo! SHABBIR: Thank you very much! ZED: My true calling! Harry Pottery, baby.
Drive yourselves to Kokanee Creek Provincial Park and search the beach for Jon at your next pit stop.
SHABBIR: Yes! JON: Teams must now make their way to Kokanee Creek Provincial Park, just north of Nelson.
Nestled on the stunning shores of Kootenay Lake, this sandy patch of paradise will act as the third pit stop on The Amazing Race Canada.
The last team to check in here may be eliminated.
I think we may be in first.
Man, what a trip! I'm done being last, man.
I'm done with it.
That's it, that's it, that's it, go.
IVANA: We got this.
KOREY: I've never done pottery before, ever.
IVANA: Neither have I.
KOREY: I've seen this in, like, a lot of romantic movies.
IVANA: Is this a romantic scene? KOREY: Yeah! IVANA: Slow and steady, slow and steady.
.
, KOREY: We're getting there, we're getting there, we're getting there.
I feel so beautiful.
I'm pretty happy right now.
KOREY: This is more romantic than I thought it would be.
It's just like listening to music or ducks in the forest.
[duck sound effect.]
IVANA: Okay, this cup is done.
Can we get a check? POTTER: That is beautiful! IVANA: Thank you.
ANDREA: She got it! POTTER: And yours Yeah! IVANA & KOREY: Woo! IVANA: High five, high five, high five! Thank you! Woo! That's going on, man! How did they do that? KOREY: Let's go, let's go, let's go! IVANA: I love cups! We're not going home, Korey! We're not going home! Oh, I'm trying to finish this one up so I can get a check.
ADAM: Dre, that's good.
Check, please.
ADAM: Dre, what took so long? ANDREA: Let's go, let's go.
Thank you so much.
Warning, last team to check in may be eliminated.
ADAM: Okay, let's go.
ANDREA: Let's frickin' gun it, man! They might be done soon.
ANDREA: No one is here except for us.
That tiny voice is starting to creep up saying this might be it.
EBONIE: Argh! I am so not happy right now.
Oh! ZED: There's a chance other teams got in front of us.
I think the furthest we could be right now is third.
I concur.
SHABBIR: There it is.
ZED: Let's do this.
ZED: There he is! SHABBIR: Oh my god! That's crazy! SHABBIR: That's good! Welcome to Nelson, BC, the heart of the Kootenays.
SHABBIR: Thank you.
ZED: Thank you so much.
Zed and Shabbir You're team number one! BOTH: [yelling.]
Yeah! [laughing.]
BOTH: Oh, yeah! As winners of this leg of the race, I'm happy to tell you that you've won a trip for two to Chicago, Illinois.
ZED: Woo! SHABBIR: Right on! ZED: I'm so proud of this guy.
This leg had the most running out of all of them, and we came first! Awesome.
There is no limits for us.
We're goin' all the way, baby! Absolutely! You betcha! JON: Take care, boys.
ZED: Thank you, appreciate it.
IVANA: That's Jon! That's Jon! JON: Nice hustle.
Good work, you guys.
KOREY: Wow! Korey and Ivana, you guys are team number two! BOTH: [screaming.]
KOREY: What? What? Yes! Oh my gosh! Korey, you're not excited at all, buddy! KOREY: It's been a crazy day.
A lot of, like, depressing moments, but you know, we tried to keep our cool, and it really paid out, man.
It paid out.
I did not expect second.
ADAM: Hey, Jon.
JON: Adam and Andrea You two are team number three.
BOTH: What?! [screaming.]
[laughing.]
Oh my gosh! You didn't see anybody out there all day or what? They were all in front of us! ADAM: Yeah! [laughs.]
ADAM: You just gotta keep going.
ANDREA: Yeah.
ADAM: Beacuse you actually have no idea where you are in this race.
SAM: We got one done.
We got one left.
KAREN: Yeah, yeah, beautiful.
Yeah, okay.
Go, give'r! RYAN: Can I get a check, please? Thank you.
KENNETH: We can't get the back of the hooks straight.
When we're breaking it off, we're bending the hook.
METALSMITH: Gotta get it flatter.
MEGAN: I'm not feeling good about this anymore.
Like, look how thin that is, and like how long we've been beating at it.
Huh, I can't This is so hard.
Either get in the zone, or we have to switch.
I need you to pull this through or I need us to try to do pottery.
All the teams are here.
We just have to save our express pass for when we need it and, you know, leave.
COURTNEY: Alright, let's switch.
MEGAN: Yeah, let's switch.
Okay, we're switching.
I can do pottery faster than I could have ever figured that out.
COURTNEY: Let's do it.
EBONIE: Okay.
ANDREA: Here comes in Megan and Courtney, and we're like, [gasps.]
.
There's hope.
MEGAN: Oh! Wow, okay.
You gotta plant yourself in it, okay.
COURTNEY: Oh my god! [chuckles.]
Ah! ANDREA: [whispers.]
Let's do this.
Oh! KAREN: Yup.
We'd like a check, please.
That is a beautiful hook! KAREN: [screams.]
Yeah, yeah! BERT: Holla! KAREN: Search the beach for Jon at your next pit stop.
Let's go! BERT: [inaudible.]
Ah! KAREN: Woo! RYAN: We gotta get going.
Yeah, we gotta fire it up.
SAM: Cutter tool, cutter tool, cutter tool.
I think it looks pretty good.
PAUL: Sir, can we get a check? SAM: Please, please, please, please This is a good-looking hook, gentlemen.
SAM: Woo-hoo! PAUL: Good luck, boys.
KENNETH: Nice job, boys.
SAM: Thanks, guys! PAUL: See you, guys.
RYAN: Oh, the heat is on, buddy! The heat is on.
SAM: Kokanee Provincial Park? Gimme the clue.
KAREN: That was awesome, babe! BERT: That was awesome.
It'll be more awesome when we're in first place.
KAREN: We're heading to see Jon! Pay attention to the map.
Search the beach for Jon at your next pit stop.
KAREN: I think we need to be going this way.
Can I get a check? Sorry.
RYAN: No one else is left in this challenge.
We could potentially be in last.
We are in a critical position.
We need to get out of here.
KENNETH: Yeah, it's on.
Let's go check the other station, man.
Let's see if other teams are still there.
RYAN: Okay.
If there's no team here, we've got to go, Kenneth.
KENNETH: I know.
I know, man.
There's two teams here still.
We're still in this.
We can save our express pass and get out of here before them.
RYAN: Come on, buddy.
We can do this.
Let's go.
We can do this.
If we get one, we get our last one together and we're out of here.
PAUL: Kokanee Creek.
There it is, babe.
There's not much better than seeing Jon.
We're confident that we're in first.
KAREN: Alright, there's the sign.
BERT: Oh yeah, yeah.
I see it, I see it.
PAUL: Oh, yeah, I see him, I see him.
There he is! JON: Sam and Paul, you're team number four.
SAM: Ya! PAUL: Good job.
KAREN: Oh! [squeals.]
Oh, hello, Jon! BERT: Hi, Jon.
Karen and Bert You two lovelies are team number five.
BERT: Ohhhh! Oh KAREN: It's okay, babe.
Why are you upset with five? BERT: We used our express pass.
We really thought we were leading the pack.
KAREN: we were in first, yeah.
BERT: It's very disappointing.
We only have one express pass.
You know what I mean? JON: But you're here now because you used it.
KAREN: Yup.
BERT: That's true.
KAREN: Don't be sad, babe! Be happy! We're still here! BERT: I am happy.
We're still here.
KAREN: We're still here.
MEGAN: We still don't know what place we're in.
We know Ebonie and Andrea are still here.
You're doing good, Megs.
MEGAN: Can I get a check over here? POTTER: Good job! COURTNEY: You got it.
One down, one to go.
I know, just be gentle.
MEGAN: I know, okay.
COURTNEY: I'm actually not confident that I can get it but I know Megan can get both of them.
COURTNEY: That looks good.
EBONIE: Okay, this is even.
Can I get a check? POTTER: You pass! EBONIE: Yes! Okay, awesome.
So, we've got one.
ANDREA: We are head-to-head to finish our last cup.
ANDREA: I can let you do it.
Just go really slow 'cause it's almost there.
What do you think, bend it off? Yeah.
KENNETH: Can we get a check on that one? I think she's a no, but Just be confident.
KENNETH: I can see it.
It's not straight.
METALSMITH: There you go.
You can see that it's not straight; I can see that it's not straight.
RYAN: Time is just ticking away.
We need to get out of here.
We have an express pass.
I know we didn't want to I know we don't want to do this but RYAN: You think we just use it? I just don't want to get kicked out right now.
KENNETH: Exactly.
RYAN: I think we should use it and go to Jon.
KENNETH: Okay, let's do it.
RYAN: We're going to use our express pass.
We want to stay in this race.
KENNETH: Yeah.
Gentlemen, here's your next clue.
KENNETH: Thank you, sir! METALSMITH: Good luck.
KENNETH: Okay.
RYAN: Let's go! MEGAN: Okay, check.
Congratulations.
Perfect! Thank you so much.
ANDREA: [sighs.]
Oh my god.
COURTNEY: Just go, run.
MEGAN: Okay.
COURTNEY: Just go.
I don't have my fanny.

MEGAN: Okay, let's go check.

COURTNEY: Get in.
Get in.
EBONIE: Let's get out of here.
ANDREA: Okay.
KENNETH: Dude, there's the girls.
We gotta go.
This race is crazy.
EBONIE: We're fighting not to be last right now.
MEGAN: Our lives are on the line right now.
If we get lost, it's over for us.
RYAN: It's gonna be a footrace to the max.
So, we know that the boys are in front of us.
Hopefully, Megan and Courtney get lost.
MEGAN: Okay, there's a sign coming up.
COURTNEY: I just don't wanna be last.
MEGAN: This is it.
This is it.
Ya! Let's go! Come on, Kenny! Look for him! EBONIE: Oh! COURTNEY: Argh! Come on, Kenny! Go, dude! EBONIE: Aah! RYAN: Holy moly.

Thank you.
RYAN: Thanks a lot.
ANDREA: Yes! Â Megan and Courtney, you are the last team to arrive.
We know.
I am sorry to tell you this, but you've been eliminated from the race.
Oh my god! [sighs.]
Are you serious? It's tough to do it with an express pass in your pocket, eh? BOTH: Oh, yeah.
Man, I wanted to use it! MEGAN: That's the hardest part.
COURTNEY: Oh! MEGAN: You think you're gonna make it and you want to save it for a tougher time.
We got through the challenges today.
We clearly didn't need it.
It wasn't something we couldn't do.
We just couldn't do it as fast as everyone else.
We should have just used it.
COURTNEY: Mm-hm.
BOTH: [sigh.]
MEGAN: It's not a great feeling, but I'm so proud of me and Courtney.
We've never pushed ourselves this hard.
We've never done anything like this before, and to just step so far out of our comfort zone COURTNEY: Megan is my rot[?.]
or die.
Like, I would never be able to do this with anyone else.
Like, seriously.
BOTH: I love you.
[crying.]
