The Irregulars (2021) s01e03 Episode Script

Chapter Three: Ipsissimus

Mr. Bannister, maybe you could
fetch our guest a beverage
and perhaps some biscuits.
We have all sorts of biscuits here,
ginger biscuits,
little biscuits with dried, um…
-Dried fruit. I find it--
-Do I look like I want a biscuit?
[Mycroft] No biscuits.
-I've been reaching out to Watson…
-[door opens and closes]
…to make your acquaintance
for several days.
I'm surprised he passed on my messages.
He didn't.
He doesn't know I'm here.
My brother, Sherlock,
is his business partner.
As such, I keep a close eye on 221B.
[Bea] Tell me everything
you know about Watson.
I have a proposal for you.
My friends and I
at the Dawn need your assistance.
What is the Golden Dawn?
It's a group of people
who have an interest in the…
paranormal.
Sir.
Each chapter of the Golden Dawn
has a leader called a magus.
Ours was a great man…
called Richard Wynn.
Was? What happened to him?
Are you familiar with the tarot?
Richard's body was staged,
or rather, presented
in the image of one of the cards.
[Bea] Which card?
[Mycroft] The magician.
So, I have a theory.
A new magus is only made
upon the previous leader's death.
Only elite members of the Golden Dawn
become part
of what's known as the Inner Circle.
It is from these few
that a new magus is picked.
There's a meeting tomorrow at Woodlands,
my estate, just outside the city.
The Inner Circle will be there.
I'd like you to come along.
Pretend to be my niece.
Help me find out who did this.
Why should we?
Because I'll pay you
double your usual fee.
I'll tell you everything
you need to know about Watson.
Warts and all?
Trust me, when it comes to John Watson,
there are only warts.
[opening theme music playing]
[bells tolling in distance]
[indistinct chatter]
[giggling]
Sticking around, then, are ya?
[Leopold] What do you want, Billy?
You want to hang around with us.
Pretend like you're one of us, whatever.
But you stay away from Bea.
Why would you want me to do that?
'Cause you're the type of person who lies.
And uses people.
I don't let people hurt my friends.
Oh, shit.
Who I spend my time with
is none of your business.
[Spike] Whoa, whoa!
Everything all right, lads?
Yeah. Great.
We ready to set off?
[horse neighs]
[Spike] Bea, when did we become
the type of people who want to voluntarily
spend the night
in the same house as a murderer?
Remember, we're not here
just to investigate the murder.
This is where Sherlock grew up.
This house may hold
the key to what's going on.
Are you all right, Bea?
I have to be, don't I?
[Leopold] I actually read
a rather interesting book
about the history
of the tarot, a few years back.
It began in Europe.
What's that?
[Leopold] Looks like
some sort of gothic folly.
What's it for?
[Leopold] Follies, by their nature,
aren't for anything.
They're like a very large garden ornament.
Wow.
Imagine having so much money
you just build towers for no reason.
[Spike] Ah, this place is weird.
What does this guy do again?
[Bea] He said he works
for the civil service.
[Spike] That doesn't sound shady at all.
Beatrice.
My name is Mr. Bannister,
Mr. Holmes' assistant.
Ladies, Isabelle here
is your maid for the weekend.
She'll show you to your suites.
Gentlemen, for events such as these,
we only allow select members
of staff to remain at the house.
They're under the impression you're a few
grunts we've hired for the weekend.
Well, how are you
gonna get into character? [chuckles]
[Bannister] Isabelle.
Gentlemen, you're around the back.
[laughs incredulously] Is this
really happening?
Miss Jessica, your room is just next door.
No, I want to sleep in here with Bea.
-I mean, is that all right?
-Well, it's…
Whatever you want to do is all right.
You're guests of the house.
Now, if nothing fits or, well,
they're just not to your liking,
we can send someone down
to the village to pick up something else.
Would you like me to bring up
a pot of tea while you try them on?
Tea sounds…
splendid.
[both snicker]
[grunts]
[breathing heavily]
[shovel thrusting]
I suppose you'll tell everyone
about my ailments.
Why would I do that?
Because you know it would humiliate me.
Don't flatter yourself.
Just because you're a pathetic twat
doesn't mean everyone else is.
Just remember what I said,
leave Bea alone.
It's not my fault you never
told her you love her.
It's not my fault
you're a complete coward.
Grace period's over.
Speak to me like that again…
I'll hurt you.
[Jessie chuckling]
I could get used to this.
[Bea] What're you meant
to do with your hands?
[indistinct chatter]
[sighs] Thank you for coming.
These are the people
I need you to observe.
The Inner Circle.
You think one
of these people killed Richard Wynn?
The man on the right is Alan Crawley.
The longest serving member.
The Golden Dawn is everything to him.
The man he's chatting to
is R.P. Breakwater. Best-selling novelist.
The lady standing
on her own is Dion Cross.
Wife of the Secretary of State
for the Colonies.
Her attendance here
is extremely confidential.
That gentleman is Gustav Felkin.
Civic engineer. He designed
the Leyland Estuary suspension bridge.
And last but not least,
Patricia Coleman Jones.
An actress. A very talented one at that.
Her Cordelia at the Palace…
was breathtaking.
[bell clanging]
[clears throat] Um…
Ladies and gentlemen,
allow me to introduce you
to my nieces, Beatrice and Jessica.
Though, of course, they won't be
attending any of our events this weekend,
I just felt it would be remiss of me
not to explain their presence here.
Girls, if you'd be so kind.
[door closes]
[indistinct conversation]
[Jessie] Who the hell installs
a peephole in their house?
[Alan] …posed as the inverted magician.
[Bea] Shh! Keep your voice down.
If that isn't an attempt to send us
all a message, I don't know what is.
[Jessie] It's him.
He's the killer. Case closed. Look at him!
It's completely terrifying.
I'm not sleeping, I'm not eating.
[Jessie] She looks too proper
to kill someone.
Which means it was probably her.
At least it hasn't
slowed down your drinking.
[Jessie] That Dion lady
looks like a bit of a bitch, though.
I reckon she did it.
[Bea] Are you gonna
do this for all five of them?
Just… listen, will you?
Everyone's got to have a hobby, Didi.
Turns out we have
something in common, my dear.
[laughs]
[Jessie] It can't be him.
It's too obvious.
[hesitating] I've written a poem…
-[Jessie] What's his name?
-[Bea] R.P. Breakwater.
[Gustav] For God's sake, sit down, Robert.
No one wants to hear poetry,
especially at a time like this.
-[Jessie] He did it. 100%.
-[Bea] You have to stop.
[Dion] I rather like your poetry,
Mr. Breakwater.
Perhaps we could listen to it over supper?
When will we vote for the next magus?
There's no point pretending
that's not why we're here.
-I'd like to put myself forward.
-[Patricia] Really?
[Dion] I'd like to put myself forward.
-[R.P.] I believe--
-[Alan] My claim is greater.
Oh, Jesus, Alan.
At least wait until his body went cold.
No, he's right. I propose we do it now.
Voting anonymously, of course.
[glass clinking]
So, what's Mr. Holmes like, Mrs. Brown?
Does he have any family?
His parents passed years ago.
He has a brother though, right?
We don't talk about that.
Hey. Mrs. B. Can I call you Mrs. B?
Yeah. [chuckles]
I really respect that you didn't
just say anything about Sherlock just now.
I hate gossips.
All these people blabbing on about
this and that. I'm not interested.
-I'm exactly the same.
-[chuckles]
Sherlock, he's a bit
of a sore subject around here.
See, he left 15 years ago.
Fell in with a bad man.
Moved in with him on Baker Street.
Mycroft gives me updates
sometimes on how he's keeping, but…
I really…
I really do miss him.
Sherlock has a den up in the attic.
It hasn't been touched since he left.
He came back one night.
It was the last time I saw him.
He came back to hide something up there.
Said he wanted to keep something safe.
He looked like
he'd been touched by a demon.
[Leopold] Wait.
[Spike] This weird house, man. I hate it.
Mrs. Brown…
said he came back here one night.
Wild-eyed, all messed up.
She thought he might
have been carrying something.
Came up here and then left.
[grunts]
Perhaps whatever
he hid up here was something
he wanted no one in Baker Street to find.
-Something important to him.
-Well…
-Spike.
-Huh?
[Mycroft] Welcome, Seekers of the Light.
[all] Welcome, all.
You are goddess.
You are goodness and light.
Without you the dark does not exist.
You are the devil. You are turmoil.
But without you
we cannot understand the light.
[grunts, coughs]
[gasps]
I think it's a puzzle box.
The words are a riddle
that give you a code to open it.
"Ego impurior diaboli."
"I am more foul than the devil."
[Mycroft] The new magus
of the London chapter
of the Hermetic Order
of the Golden Dawn is…
Gustav Felkin.
[sighs softly]
Alan. Kneel.
[Bea] Well, I guess now
we know who the main suspect is.
I offer myself to the ocean.
[whispering] Oh, my God.
[in normal voice]
I offer myself to the earth.
I offer myself to the stars.
Maybe they are just a weird cult.
Haven't seen anything paranormal.
Have you?
R.P. Breakwater's bum
was a bit paranormal.
Anyway, the new magus is Gustav Felkin.
Tomorrow, we focus on him.
So, someone's popular.
-Billy and Leo this morning.
-Oh!
I know it must be so awful
having two good-looking guys fancy you.
-I don't know how you get through the day.
-What am I gonna do?
Once you've decided
which one you like more,
one night, get them on their own
in the cellar and be all like,
"God, I'm so cold, can I get under
that blanket with you for a minute?"
Once you're under a blanket
you can't see your hands,
so you can't be held
responsible for their whereabouts.
First of all,
how desperate do you think I am?
Don't. Second of all,
I don't like either of them anyway.
Bollocks.
It's not even about that, Jess.
There's more important stuff
than romance bullshit.
How dare you call romance bullshit.
Romance is literally the only thing
that means anything to me.
Well, romance and shenanigans.
[sighs]
But shenanigans is basically
just a subcategory of romance.
It's romance for the body.
Romance isn't for people like us, Jessie.
Romance is for people in stories.
Who live in houses like this.
[Jessie] Can you imagine
if we grew up in a place like this?
Think we'd have been happier?
[woman screams]
[gasps]
[sniffling]
Gustav.
[gasps]
What are we gonna do?
Can I just say, us walking away from peril
is such a refreshing change of tack.
This right here
is the appropriate reaction to danger.
This isn't like the other cases.
This is straight-up murder.
There's nothing paranormal about it.
Did we turn down another path?
This doesn't make any sense.
What in the name of Christ
is going on?
This way.
[animals crying]
No.
No, no, no.
The eight of swords.
What?
The body just now,
it was posed as the eight of swords.
That card means captivity. Imprisonment.
We were wrong, Beatrice.
There is magic here.
What if spirit boards aren't the only
way to access the power of the Rip?
What if someone
is using the tarot murders?
What about the first murder?
What does the magician mean, Leo?
Normally it means power.
But Richard Wynn's body was upside down.
An inverted magician means
manipulation, trickery, deception.
If we can't get out, no one can get in.
Which means no police.
Someone's gone to great lengths
to trap these people here.
We need to find out why.
Mycroft, who are these people?
They're a group of special investigators.
I invited them here this weekend
to try and find out who killed Richard.
"Special investigators"?
What's special about them?
That they're still going through puberty?
Mycroft, go and fetch the police!
My friends and I
have seen things, done things,
in the last few weeks
that you couldn't even dream of.
So, yes, we're investigating
and, yes, you will help us
when we ask you to.
We tried to leave the estate.
It's impossible.
-What on earth do you mean?
-She means we're trapped here.
The eight of swords
has cast a spell on the house.
How did you know that?
Look.
My watch says it's quarter to five.
So, why do the stars
still say it's 3:00 a.m.?
He's right.
The incantation has not
just trapped us in place but… in time.
Someone here is using magic.
Powerful magic.
All these years we've chanted and prayed.
-Finally, it's here!
-Two people are dead, Alan.
Save your conniptions for another time.
You all need to remember that someone
in this room has killed two people.
Be on your guard.
You and Spike talk
to Crawley about the tarot.
If we can understand the tarot,
we can understand the killer.
Me and you are gonna speak to everyone.
Sherlock.
[door opens]
It's just me.
Patricia's on her way for the interview.
It was funny seeing you
in a dress like that.
-[scoffs] I looked stupid.
-No, you looked…
You looked really good. Pretty.
[fire iron clanking]
I never got a chance to thank you.
For what you did with the Tooth Fairy.
I did what anyone would've done.
No, you did something
you knew would haunt you.
Yeah, well…
that's what we do, isn't it?
Fight for each other.
It's what we've always done.
I don't like seeing you like this, Bea.
You know, I like it when you laugh.
I like the way your mouth gets a bit…
crooked.
We should have more of that in our lives.
More… good times.
Right?
I don't want our story just to be about
how we fought through horrible shit.
I want…
I want us to be more than that.
Well, the story's not just about that.
Is it, Billy?
It's part of it.
And it's made us…
more like family almost, hasn't it?
Yeah.
Hasn't it?
-[knocking at door]
-[door opens]
[Mrs. Brown] Excuse me, Miss Beatrice.
I just thought you might like
a cup of tea. [laughs softly]
Settles the nerves.
[clears throat]
[door closes]
[Bea] When you discovered
Gustav's body,
what were you doing out of bed
in the middle of the night?
[sniffs and exclaims]
I didn't get out of bed,
I hadn't gone to bed.
You mustn't mention this to Mycroft.
I don't want anyone to get into trouble,
but, uh, I stayed up with Mrs. Brown.
-What were you doing?
-Drinking.
And on my way to bed, I found poor Gustav.
And now…
here I am drinking again.
Mrs. Brown will confirm this, will she?
[exhales] Mmm-hmm.
There is one other thing.
On my way back across the house…
Two, three, four…
There was R.P.,
creeping about in the dark.
-[Bea] Thank you.
-[exhales]
[door opens]
You find R.P., quickly.
We need to speak to him.
I'll check on Leo.
Hey.
Hey.
This is Sherlock's room?
What do you think happened to him?
I think something destroyed him.
I just want this night to be over.
More of a morning person?
[chuckles]
Weird. I never trust morning people.
Everything fun that happens,
happens after dark.
Name me one fun thing
that happens before lunch.
-Breakfast.
-Breakfast isn't fun.
Breakfast is basically fuel.
Lunch and dinner are for pleasure.
You take your time with them.
Several courses.
That's just the way it is.
Just because you have a different opinion
doesn't mean I'm wrong.
[Leopold] I'm not saying you're wrong.
I'm saying you're a freak.
You're a freak and every other
morning person is a freak, too.
[chuckles] You're such an idiot.
"I am more foul than the devil."
What's more foul than the devil?
I thought it may be a reference
to Dante's Inferno,
so I've been trying
four-letter words from that.
In the original Italian, of course,
but the Italian of that time
was archaic, so it's difficult.
Yeah. My archaic Italian
is a bit rusty as well, so…
[both chuckle]
Maybe you're trying
to be too clever about it.
It's a riddle, so it's probably
something deceptively obvious.
Give me an example of something
that's more foul than the devil.
-I can't.
-Why not?
Because nothing
is more foul than the Devil.
Nothing.
[both chuckle]
"The Grimoire of Sherlock Holmes."
Each card, of course, has a meaning.
An energy.
It's this that the killer…
is tapping into.
[exclaims]
Can't wait to discover
someone posed like that.
Now, clear your mind.
And become a conduit for their message.
Please, Alan.
I have never once
seen you display an iota of insight.
Prove me wrong.
There is a… powerful vibration.
A movement--
Please don't.
You stole this tarot deck.
What?
Jessie.
You went to visit your uncle.
When you were younger.
You wanted to be like him.
Read the cards like him.
When you walked in, he was on the floor.
He was having a heart attack.
[breathing heavily]
So, you stole these cards.
Well, he was dying.
He was almost dead.
There was nothing I could've done.
You have the vision.
My God.
The girl's an Ipsissimus.
Mr. Bannister,
find Mr. Breakwater immediately.
What's an Ipsissimus?
An Ipsissimus is a true psychic.
It means "powerful one."
One who can see into the souls of men.
One who can change
the destiny of the world.
She must join the Order.
Imagine the seances we could hold.
-She's extraordinary.
-What are you talking about?
I don't want to be extraordinary.
I don't want any of these things.
I wanna be like everyone else.
Well, you're not, Jessica.
You're not normal.
You're one in a billion.
Jess!
Bollocks!
Jess! Jessie! Jess! Jess, where are you?
Jessica.
Jessica.
[Spike] Jess! Jessie!
Where are you?
Jessie! Jess!
Can I help?
No, I don't think so.
I've been looking
all over the house for you.
And I find you here in my friend's room.
Dion needs to speak to Jessica.
Urgently.
I need you to trust me.
You want me to trust you?
Then tell me why you were
sneaking around the house last night.
If I tell you…
you must swear that it goes no further.
Swear it.
It's full of incantations
that let you speak to the dead.
Divine the future.
Have you guys seen Jess?
People are going crazy--
They've realized she's special.
That weird Crawley fella called her
a Ippopotamus or something.
-A what?
-An Ipsissimus.
Yeah. Yeah, that was it.
Someone with the highest level
of psychic ability.
I just read about them in here.
Ipsissimi.
"A says that anyone who is an Ipsissimus
must be extremely careful."
Who's "A?"
"An Ipsissimus' powers
can be taken from them by--"
"By sacrificing them
using ritualistic magic."
[Bea] Sacrifice. It's a trap.
Guys, we need to find Jessie now!
I've been looking for you everywhere.
I suppose we all must seem
exceptionally strange to you.
Well, millions of people around the world
wear special hats because of religion.
Neck chains
with the image of a murdered man.
-[shudders]
-No, no, I--
Are we crazier than they
just because we're fewer in number?
Do they too not believe
in miracles and magic?
The path of an Ipsissimus
is a lonely one, Jessie.
People will try and take advantage of you.
I could help you. Guide--
Look at yourself.
You're still the person
who stole cards from a dying man.
It's not magic
that makes a person powerful.
It's kindness. It's decency.
I would do anything you asked
if you give me some of what you have.
-Let me go. You're hurting me.
-If you would only teach me.
R.P. could've been lying to you.
No, it's not R.P. who's doing this.
Or Dion.
How do you know that?
I can't. I just know.
I promised I wouldn't say.
[Bea] Dion?
We're looking for Jessica.
[Spike gasps]
Jesus Christ.
They were lovers.
That's where R.P. was going
when Gustav was killed, wasn't it?
To Dion's room.
[Billy] I promised not to tell anyone.
He said it could ruin them both.
What does lovers mean, Leo?
Bea! Bea!
[woman] Jessie.
What kind of spell could it cast?
It means infatuation.
[woman] Jessie.
[gasps]
[woman] Where are you, my love?
I need you to come to me.
Be with me.
She must have drawn it with her foot.
As she was dying.
Which card is "XV"?
[Leopold] The devil.
[woman] You are the devil.
You are turmoil.
Without you,
we cannot understand the light.
Mycroft.
[woman] Jessie. Jessie.
Yes. Come to me.
Yes. Come to me. Yes. Jessica, come to me.
[Bea] Jessie! Jessie!
We know you brought us here
to kill Jessie.
[Mycroft] What?
Where is she?
What are you talking about?
You found out from your brother and Watson
that she had powers.
So, you killed Richard Wynn
to lure us here.
Then you killed Gustav Felkin
to trap us in the estate.
When R.P. and Dion found out
what you were up to, you killed them, too.
[gasps]
No.
With the last drop of life in her body
she drew "XV" in her blood.
The devil. You!
I would never.
For the record,
I've not spoken to the doctor
or my brother over a decade.
Oh, really?
Then how did you find out about us?
You said you saw us when you were at 221B.
I didn't. I said I keep a close eye
on Sherlock and Watson.
Keep an eye on them?
You mean you spy on them?
What exactly is it you do
for the civil service, Mr. Holmes?
What I do is irrelevant.
Did you tell anyone about her?
Anyone at the Dawn?
I'm not the type of man
to share information without reason--
Mrs. Brown? Mrs. Brown said
you give her updates about Sherlock.
Mrs. Brown is a trusted employee.
Like family. She would never--
She did.
[Mrs. Brown] You mustn't mention this
to Mycroft.
I stayed up with Mrs. Brown.
[Bea] What were you doing?
Drinking.
Excuse me, Miss Beatrice. I just thought
you might like a cup of tea.
Patricia.
Patricia's behind all this.
She bribed Mrs. Brown
to give her the information about Jessie.
Then she killed Richard Wynn.
How did you get the idea
to ask us to investigate?
I can't remember. It was my idea, I…
[Patricia] The only person
who can find out who did this
is the girl
Sherlock knows with the powers.
The girl with the pow--
-Powers.
-It wasn't your idea.
You were under a manipulation spell
cast by the inverted magician.
After she killed Gustav,
she must've bribed Mrs. Brown again
to give herself an alibi.
If Dion wasn't trying
to tell us about Mycroft,
why would she write "XV" on the floor?
What if she died
before she could finish the numeral?
What if it wasn't supposed to be XV,
it was supposed to be XVI?
Leo?
She wasn't trying to show us who,
she was going to show us where.
[woman] Jessie.
I need you to come to me.
Jessie, we need to be together.
Come. Come.
[breathing heavily]
[chuckles]
Hello, Jessica.
[gasps]
You're so beautiful.
Your hair is so beautiful. I love it.
I love you.
Do you love me, Jessica?
Would you do anything for me?
Yes.
Would you die for me?
Yes.
Look.
-Hold on to this, Jessica.
-[Jessica] Okay.
No earthly force will be strong enough
to remove your grip.
Your powers
would have been a curse to you,
but to me they will be a blessing.
Thank you.
Now don't let go. Okay?
[exhales]
[chanting in other language]
[thunder rumbling]
[Spike] Jess!
Go!
-[Billy] Spike!
-[Bea] Jessie!
Jess!
-Move.
-[Billy] Spike!
-[Bea] Jessie!
-Move!
[Spike] Jessie!
[grunting]
Come on, Jess. Help me.
You've gotta fight this.
You're under her control.
You're gonna get yourself killed, please!
No, Spike!
I promised I'd stay here. I promised her.
I love her. I'm going to die for her.
Jessie!
Will you help, you prick?
[all grunting]
[Bea] Jess!
-[Patricia] When the girl dies…
-[Bea] Jessie!
-…I become an Ipsissimus.
-[Billy] Spike!
-Jessie!
-[thudding on door]
There's a Rip, Alan.
As Ipsissimus,
I'd be able to channel the power of it.
I'd become a god.
And I'd be able to share that power…
with you.
[thunder rumbling]
Jess, listen to me.
I know someone you love
told you not to move, but--
You love me, too, right?
I love you. And since I love you,
I think you should just give me a hug.
Jessie. Do you love me? Please!
[breathing heavily]
Fight it, Jessie.
Please fight it for me. Please.
Yes, I love you.
[thunder clapping]
Jessica! I told you not to move!
I'm sorry!
Grab the pole, Jessica! Now! Grab it now!
-Jessie! Jessie!
-[Patricia] Shoot him.
-[Jessica] Let go of me!
-[Patricia] Shoot him!
[Spike grunting]
-[Spike] Jessie!
-I can't.
You're pathetic, Alan.
[Spike] No!
[Patricia screams]
[breathing heavily]
Spike. Spike, what's going on?
Christ.
I thought I'd lost you.
I'm sorry I got you involved in all this.
I'll never forgive myself.
[Bea] We don't need your apologies,
Mr. Holmes.
We need you to tell us what you know.
What I say to you in this room
must go no further.
I am not a member of the Golden Dawn
because I have
personal interest in the occult.
My interest is professional.
I'm the head of a governmental department
that does extensive research
into the paranormal.
I was placed there
because no one wished to work with me
and the subject was considered
to be something of a joke.
I thought so, too, before I began
my investigations at the Dawn.
I soon discovered that the members there
were onto something,
but the problem is
people in the world of magic
often lack… rigor.
I needed someone to help
who could bridge the gap
between magic and science,
someone capable of insight.
Sherlock.
I didn't realize
how obsessed he would become.
He devoted every waking hour to proving
it was possible to contact the dead.
And did he?
The last time I saw him,
he had the same look in his eye
that you had the day we met, Beatrice.
The look of someone
who's stared into the abyss.
The look of someone
who'd been fighting monsters.
This has happened before.
There was another rip, 15 years ago.
I don't know how it opened
or how it was closed.
All I know is before it appeared
I had a brother. Now I do not.
[drawer opens]
Unlike my parents…
Sherlock was always kind to me.
Even despite my peculiar nature.
My brother is a good man.
A great man.
But when the doctor entered his life,
something changed in him.
The doctor is a poison.
And if it's true…
if someone has opened a new Rip…
Well… he won't be far from it.
[Billy] I'll…
see you in a bit, Bea.
I'm off to Acton.
What's in Acton?
What?
I, um…
I met a girl down there the other day.
You kept that quiet.
It's nothing serious like,
but… she seems… nice. So…
Well, good for you.
Bill.
Have a good time.
[door opens]
[door closes]
Hey.
Hi.
It's a bit…
It's cold in here, isn't it?
Um…
Did you find anything
about opening Rips yet?
No. And I'm literally on the last page.
It's just more of his forays into darkness
with Watson and this "A" person.
Look at this.
That's the doctor, right?
[Bea] Yeah.
"A."
Alice.
[Billy] Bea. Are you okay?
That's my mom.
[closing theme music playing]
