First the beach gave me a soggy couch,
now it's sharing a big soggy house!
Bertie's right,
the ocean really is magical.
Sigh! I wish I had a house.
Oh, woe is me.
Um, hey, there. Are you lost?
Oh, little old me?
Not lost, just wandering,
looking for a place to call home.
Innocent sigh.
Oh, no! You need a place to live?
Oh, nothing fancy. [chuckles]
Just a simple place
to rest my little lady head.

Well, I don't want to be a bother,

I'm Arlo and I definitely
can help you find a home.
But first, you think you can
help me get out of this hole?
You should move to Seaside.
We've been fixing it up,
and we're looking
for new residents like you.
Oh, I just don't know if I'd fit in.
But that's the beauty of Seaside!
Everyone fits in, no matter who you are
or what you do. We're cool with it!

Everywhere else I've been, as soon as
I settle in, people seem to want me gone.
I never even got the chance
to pick out a welcome mat.

that will never happen here in Seaside.

[intriguing music plays]

[ominous sting]

Seaside should be welcome to everyone,
even people who made mistakes
in their past.
Trust me.
You keep a bad apple like that around,
she'll spoil the whole bunch.

to make sure Lily feels at home here.

which is more than I usually do.

[ominous music plays]
[siren wailing in distance]

We got a thief in Seaside!

to sign the welcome card for Lily.

Lily is stealing everyone's stuff.

what numbers I was pressing,
but now it's just a mystery!
Plus, she took all my Speedos!
Now I gotta wear
this towel around until I find it!
You could, uh, wear pants.

Arlo, she's gotta go.
She's ruining our town!
Okay, now wait just a minute.
We cannot prove
she was responsible for all of this.
There was the overwhelming scent
of butter and lemon
left at the scene of the crime.
That ain't hard evidence.
- I saw her run off with my tires.
- It could have been anybody.
I've got her on tape.
[static crackles]
- What!
- [Marcellus] Listen,
I know you don't want to believe it,
but Lily's a menace and she's gotta go.
Guys, we can't kick her out.
Seaside was built by a ragtag team
of misfits and outsiders.
If we turn away
the first outsider who doesn't fit,
we're turning our backs on ourselves.
[sighs] Mm, Arlo
There must be a better way.
[Bertie] Arlo, you're naked.
Berries and cream! I've been robbed!
- [door chimes]
- [hums melodically]
- [deflates]
- She's gotta go.
You guys are right.
I'm sorry I didn't listen before.
Now I see things can't continue like this.
So, you're going to go talk to her?
Nope. I'm going to theft-proof
our entire town. Problem solved.
- [tape squeaks]
- [upbeat music plays]

- [electricity crackles]
[kisses fingers]

I also love cheese-less pizza!
[chuckling, munching]

What's with the distressed elephant face
and distressed townsfolk?
Um, we're just concerned about you.
Like, maybe Seaside's not so great.
Maybe you want to live somewhere else.

[laughs] Are you kidding?
Seaside is claws down the very best.
I've never felt more at home and welcome.
I don't have enough legs to tell you
how many times I've been run out of town
for my stealing habits,
but you guys are totally cool with it.
Actually, Lily,
we actually aren't that cool with it.
If you keep stealing,
you'll have to bounce.
What about all your talk
about anyone being welcome in Seaside?
No, I do want you to feel welcome,
but just not welcome to everyone's stuff.
It's not fair
to the rest of the neighborhood.
- [melancholy music plays]
- [sighs] Oh, boiled again.
Let me pack up my bindle
and I'll be out of your hair.
I guess Seaside is like everywhere else.
Don't feel too bad. It's not your fault.
But getting my hopes up was your fault,
so you can feel bad for that.
I know it was hard,
but you did the right thing.
Did I? It doesn't really feel like it.

Oh, sorry, they're over in that pile
with all your other lost stuff.
- [upbeat music plays]
- OMG. My pom-pom party turtleneck!
- I haven't seen this in years!
- [jingles]
Oh, my cookie tin of secrets!
Oh, I thought I lost this!
[mysterious voice] Secrets!
My old teacup.
I looked everywhere for this.
How did you find it, Lily?
What can I say? I have a talent. [scoffs]
[Bertie hums melodically]
Is stealing only stealing
if you know it's gone?
I don't think it works like that.
But if it's lost, it isn't stolen.

[muffled] Ooph! Hold on. Don't go nowhere.

you can stay in Seaside!
How? I can't stop stealing. [munches]
[with mouth full] I love it too much.
What if you could channel your talents
into something that
doesn't take from the neighborhood,
