Pandora (2019) s01e11 Episode Script

I'll Be Your Baby

1 - [RALEN.]
Previously on Pandora - Ralen, I have warrant for your arrest.
Perhaps as ambassador, you can offer something - for your son's life.
- What do you want? [DONOVAN.]
I want Pandora's Box.
[THOMAS.]
I can't control my powers.
I believe I'm in love with you, Jax.
- Greetings, husband.
- Greetings wife.
If he's been lying about that, what else has he been lying about? You told me you were going to tell me what happened to my parents.
I told you I would give you the key to the mystery.
Harlan Fried, you're under arrest.
Now you have to find the lock.
Thomas disabled the transponder codes on his Infiltrator.
I'm not even sure Thomas wants to be found.
[ATRIA.]
The Earth Fleet Training Academy is now celebrating its 110th anniversary of its founding.
It's here that the best and brightest minds in the galaxy come to pursue a career in EarthCom.
And then there's me.
[LAUGHS.]
This monument is a tribute to the fallen heroes who protected the Confederacy in our long conflict with the Zatarians, commemorating the bloody battle which led to the Armistice, the Battle of Proxima Centauri.
Now Armistice Day is a time to reflect on the past and look to the future.
When the war ended, Earth and Zatar were at a crossroads.
Most cadets, myself included, find themselves now in a similarly tough position, wondering who to ask as their date to the big Armistice Day dance.
[LAUGHS.]
Okay, now this is Ralen from Zatar.
Like me, a clone, he is the first of his kind to attend the Academy.
- Hi, Ralen.
- Hi.
[ATRIA.]
I was just telling these future cadets that Armistice Day Dance is this week.
Do you have a date yet? I do not.
No one has asked me yet.
That is unfortunate.
- I'm just going to - Oh.
Thank you.
Oh! [LAUGHS.]
I'm sorry.
He's been through a lot lately.
Plus, our midterm exams are coming up.
It's super stressful.
Moving on.
Let's go.
Okay, great.
Um [CLEARS THROAT.]
This building, you may not know.
We still can't access the portals without the girl.
You promised me you would be able to control them.
What do I pay you for if you can't find a workaround for Jax? Correction, Miss Fried.
Your father pays me, not you.
As long as my father rots in a prison cell, you will answer to me as the new CEO of Parallax.
[DOOR OPENS.]
I said I wasn't to be interrupted.
[SOBBING.]
It's Daddy, Regan.
He's dead.
[CRYING.]
Mom said he was murdered while being taken away to the Maximum Security Penal Asteroid.
I wanted him out of our way.
I did not wish him to be dead.
[CRYING.]
I need you to be strong.
[SIGHS.]
I promise you everything will be all right.
[CRYING.]
[DOOR SLIDES OPEN.]
[ELECTRONIC FEMALE VOICE.]
Welcome home, Pilar.
[DOOR SLIDES CLOSED.]
I love the new haircut, by the way.
Thanks.
It's for the gala.
[JAX.]
Very chic.
Another flower delivery.
This is just getting silly now.
Oh, don't even act like you don't love all the attention.
I kind of do, but I'd really love a fruit basket.
How many flowers does a girl need? This is kind of old-fashioned.
So who are they from this time? Uh Liam, from Alien Linguistics class.
Again.
They're pretty, though.
Very pink.
[LAUGHS.]
So is he the one or just another one? I'm kind of tempted, but right now it's a toss-up between Anton from Stellar Cartography, Celeste from Earth History, and Charles from Computer Engineering.
Did you just call Professor Baker "Charles"? Don't be judgy.
He's really hot.
[LAUGHS.]
Pilar, he's, like, ancient, and he's your professor.
You cannot date him.
He's 29 and a guest lecturer.
Doesn't count.
Anyway, I don't even have time to be thinking about all this.
I've spent so much time on the planning committee for this gala that I haven't even had a chance to think about who I want to go with yet.
- [DEVICE BEEPS.]
- What about you? I'm just not in the mood to go to a dance right now, after everything that's happened this year.
Jax, it's mandatory.
Not to mention, I haven't spent weeks planning this for you to be a no-show.
The way I see it, you have two options: Ralen or Xander.
- Ralen's married, Pilar.
- Great.
Xander it is.
[STAMMERS, SIGHS.]
[SOFT POP MUSIC PLAYING.]
I don't mind What you say When you say you love me I don't mind - Ralen.
- Commander.
Sorry to interrupt your imbibing session.
I know they're quite important to you.
How's married life? - I see Jax told you.
- [XANDER.]
Mm-hmm.
I was alone What do you want, Ralen? I've come to express my gratitude.
For what? I heard what you did for me on lo.
Okay, um, I didn't do it for you.
Nonetheless, you saved my life.
- So thank you.
- Mmm.
Can I buy you a drink as recompense? Good.
Excuse me.
Uh Another and a water, please.
Mmm.
Actually, I am glad that we're talking.
I owe you an apology.
I rushed to judgment, and I thought you were guilty.
I should have trusted you.
So I'm sorry.
It seems to have become quite problematic for you to know who to trust and who not to trust, has it not? I'm not sure I know what you mean.
I think you do.
My father has expectations for me which I'm not sure I'll ever be able to meet.
I'm sure it's the same for you.
I think it would be quite hard to disappoint my father.
He died when I was very young.
I'm not talking about your biological father but the man to whom your allegiances truly lie.
Perhaps we have more in common than I previously thought, Ralen.
Perhaps we do.
Including our mutual attraction to Jax.
- [LAUGHS.]
- Now, it's no secret that you harbor a great deal of affection for her, as do I.
May I ask your intentions? You may ask.
[LAUGHS.]
Is Is that a joke? I suppose it is.
[LAUGHS.]
I don't intend to cease my pursuit of her, if that's what you're wondering.
[SCOFFS.]
No, I'm not wondering, Ralen.
But you might want to give it a thought, considering the fact you are married.
That's between me and Jax.
And your wife, I should imagine? Look, I'm sorry.
We both care deeply about the same girl.
But if you're looking for some sort of permission No, I'm I'm not.
I I respect you, commander.
And it was important for me to be honest about my intentions, that's all.
Thank you.
But it's not really your choice.
It's not really my choice.
It's Jax's.
[BRACELET BEEPS.]
I have to go.
I'm sure you do.
Mmm.
Thanks for the drink, Ralen.
The Infiltrator Cadet Ross absconded with from the Academy has been located.
I thought the transponder on that ship had been disabled.
Yes, but an hour ago, the craft exited hyperspace at the Karman Line and was detected in orbit.
I assume Cadet Ross will be disciplined accordingly? He would, if he was aboard.
Excuse me? The ship was found empty.
There was no sign of Cadet Ross.
Well, if he's not onboard, then where is he? You tell me.
[SCOFFS.]
With all due respect, Sir, I'm not sure that looking for a missing pupil from the Academy is really CIS business.
It's not, but it's come to my attention that Cadet Ross has begun to manifest certain powers that will be valuable to us or someone else.
Right, so you don't really care if he's safe or not.
You just care whether or not he's working for our enemies.
I would think that's something we would all care about.
Fine.
I'll begin my investigation tomorrow, after the Armistice Day gala.
You'll begin your investigation now.
Well, I was planning on asking your niece to the dance.
There is no time for childish pursuits, especially given the gravity of our present situation.
Oh, I didn't realize I needed to ask your permission.
It's not an option.
Emotional attachment is not possible in our line of work.
Are we talking about your niece or your wife? - You're out of line, Xander.
- Look, I'm sorry, but if I want to date Jax, then that's really no concern of yours.
I'm afraid it's every concern of mine.
You know the danger she represents.
And you have your orders, commander.
Orders like arresting Ralen for treason when you knew full well that he was innocent? I did not know he was innocent.
I only suspected he had been framed by Parallax.
Professor, I used to feel like I could trust you implicitly.
But now I don't know how I feel.
Why go through the theatrics of a sham trial? What did you really want from the Zatarians? Something that they dare not possess, and now I have.
And it's safe under my lock and key.
Now you're being evasive, as always.
And you're being impudent.
I'm not sure you understand the parameters of this relationship.
I'm your boss, and you work for me.
Not anymore.
[ELECTRONIC FEMALE VOICE.]
Welcome home, Ralen.
- Greetings, husband.
- Matta? The trial has ended.
Why did you not return home to Zatar with my father and his delegation? We have unfinished business.
And what is that? Must be pretty difficult for you, being the only Zatarian in the Academy.
Admittedly, it has its challenges.
Is that so? Where's your roommate? [RALEN.]
He moved out the first week of class.
The Academy said they'd assign me a new roommate.
It appears they not found a suitable replacement yet.
You came here to bring our two races together, yet we could not be farther apart.
Why are you really here, Matta? - To help you.
- I don't need your help.
Earth will soon celebrate Armistice Day.
That day has a considerably different meaning on Zatar.
I imagine being the only Zatarian here and attending alone must be quite uncomfortable.
I wish to accompany you as your date.
Well, you are more than my date, Matta.
You're my wife.
Yes.
And I suggest you remember that.
Hello? Hello? Welcome, Thomas.
So nice to see you again.
- [DOOR SLIDES CLOSED.]
- Tierney? Flying a tiny Infiltrator alone to the ends of the galaxy, that wasn't a very wise decision.
Where am I? How did you find me? - Your father.
- My dad? Where is he? So many questions.
I'll answer all of them in time.
For the moment, you just need to relax.
Thank Gaia we found you.
Relax? I don't think so.
You need to let me go.
Now! Sorry, but I can't do that.
What do you want from me? I told you.
I want you to relax.
After all, today is your lucky day.
What the hell are you talking about? You've just found gainful employment with the Hypatia Syndicate.
The Hypatia Syndicate? Why are you still involved with them? [LAUGHS.]
Because they work for me.
And this is my ship.
That's right.
You're looking at the leader of the Hypatia Syndicate.
- Hello, Atria.
- Hi, Prof! Oh, hey, thanks for stopping by.
No problem.
What's up? Being on the planning committee for the Armistice Day Dance is tougher than Command Track.
What do you mean? Professor Pevney and I were talking, and I realized that I want this gala to be bigger and more extravagant and festive than any gala, and you did such a great job organizing Xander's surprise birthday party that I could really use your help on this.
Gala? But that's totally different to a party, Pilar.
Really? How so? Well, Xander's was a surprise party at the Black Hole.
This is a huge reception.
It's not the same thing.
Yeah, so what? I need your help to make this amazing and fantastic and huge and awesome.
Look, I don't think I'm the best person to ask for help.
You're the perfect person.
Come on, it'll be fun.
You and me.
I don't think it will be fun for me.
Of course it will.
And you know what? We don't have anyone doing drinks right now, and I think you'd be great at it.
Although, no strawberry milkshakes.
It's a very classy event No! I'm not gonna help you.
Don't ask me again! What was that about, Pilar? I wish I knew.
When my parents first told me you and I were to be joined, I did not approve.
I wanted to choose my own mate.
And even then I knew that it was a calculated decision by the House of Ral to elevate their standing in Council.
It was an act of political calculus, not of love.
I never asked for this marriage.
I know that, and I do not blame you.
But you were kind and compassionate.
And in you, I saw someone who cared about the future of Zatar.
I grew to care for you.
Matta Our families are the past.
We are the future.
I know you care as much about Zatar as I do.
Just think about what we could achieve together for our people and our heirs.
Is that why you came here? You wish to have children? I came here because I care deeply about you.
And wish to know if you'll ever feel the same way about me.
When you came here, you told your father that it would be to spy on Pandora for him.
- Matta - And that your cover story would be one of bringing peace to our two peoples.
Ooh.
Sorry.
- Gonna just - Oh Jax.
Jax, wait.
I'm so sorry.
It's okay.
She's your wife.
There's there's nothing to apologize for.
But I don't love my wife.
I love you.
Ralen, we're friends.
I care about you, and you know that.
But that is all that we'll ever be.
I hope you can accept that.
I do not wish to accept that.
Well, you need to, because that's the only answer I'll ever give you.
Is there nothing I can say that would change your mind? No.
I have to go.
Jax You will need to make a choice soon, Ralen.
I truly hope you choose wisely.
I told you I would give you the key to the mystery, and I have.
But now you have to find the lock.
When you do, you'll know everything, and you might be sorry I ever gave that to you.
Jax.
Hi.
Hey, I've been looking everywhere for you.
Oh Just, um, came here to clear my mind.
But I've got a lot of questions and not many answers, so If you'd rather be alone, then No, no, it's fine.
You were looking for me? Yeah.
Um, I wanted to talk to you about the Armistice Day Dance.
Um [STAMMERING.]
So I was wondering um, actually, I wasn't wondering, I'm asking.
I'm asking if maybe you would like to go to the dance with me, as a date.
[LAUGHS.]
[CHUCKLES.]
Oh.
If I may, I'm hoping that the answer you're looking for is yes.
I'm sorry.
Yes.
Definitely yes.
[SIGHS.]
Good.
Great.
Good.
It'll be fun.
I didn't know you knew how to "fun.
" Maybe I'll surprise you.
You seem to be full of surprises these days.
I'll see you at 1700 hours tomorrow then.
- Yes, you will.
- Yes, I will.
Xander.
Thank you.
For what? For finally asking me out.
Thanks for saying yes.
[LAUGHS.]
Put that over there.
- [PILAR.]
Hi.
- Hi.
[SIGHS.]
I didn't expect to see you back here.
I just wanted to apologize for my behavior earlier.
No, I I get it.
You don't have a date yet.
That can be stressful.
It's not about that for me, Pilar.
[SIGHS.]
On Adar, whenever a new batch of clones were created, buyers were invited to a festive party to purchase them.
Prospective owners celebrated as they selected us as their new slaves.
The things they said and did were not pleasant.
I'm so sorry, Atria.
It's the only formal event I've ever been to.
The men and women who were to acquire us wore formal ball gowns and dresses as well.
But we were all naked so the masters could inspect us for imperfections.
You know, I can still feel the Seeker's hands touching me, as I was held down by his acolytes.
And the band played, and the people just laughed and drank.
You know, for a long time, I [SIGHS.]
I shut myself down until I came here.
Then I discovered who I was and how I could express my own individuality among a thousand identical sisters.
I want to celebrate Armistice Day Dance like everyone else, but it just keeps reminding me of the most awful day of my life.
I'm sorry.
[SIGHS.]
You know, Thomas, being a hot-shot pilot in EarthCom isn't your only option in life.
Trust me, you're not the first person to tell me that.
You'll find working for me to be very rewarding, both financially and otherwise.
Just as your father has.
Where exactly is my dad? He's on a mission.
For me.
But rest assured, you'll see him again.
Your powers won't work.
Hmm.
Nice try, though.
My Hypatia Syndicate gets a bad rap.
We're not so awful.
It provides a home for women from around the galaxy who have been abused, abandoned, or just seek a life of excitement and adventure.
And the recruiting benefits are quite attractive.
[DOOR SLIDES OPEN.]
[CLEARS THROAT.]
[DOOR SLIDES CLOSED.]
I'm offering you a new life here, Thomas.
A chance to discover who you really are and explore your newfound powers.
Will you take it? Being on the datastream used to be my entire life.
It was all that I really knew or cared about.
And now I'm spending time with strangers, making new friends and being spontaneous.
- I kind of like it.
- [BOTH GIGGLE.]
Apparently so does Liam.
I will say he's being very persistent.
I'm just glad he's sending drinks now.
I don't have any more room for flowers.
[LAUGHS.]
I just want you to know I asked Professor Pevney to have you excused from the gala.
You didn't need to do that.
I thought I did.
[SIGHS.]
I feel like I need to face my fears and not run from my past.
Do you think that's why it didn't work out with you and Thomas? - What do you mean? - Well Thomas tried to change you into somebody you're not.
Maybe you need to discover who you want to be.
Hmm.
Is there any way we can access the portals without her? They are useless without the girl.
To be able to exploit their technology to instantaneously travel through space, we need the girl.
She is the key.
Do we know how she controls them? I don't think she knows how she controls them.
If we had her to examine, we could perhaps learn more about how she harnesses her power.
That's true, but we need to capture the girl first.
I presume that you can help us with that, sister.
[JAZZ MUSIC PLAYING.]
[DIGITAL BEEPING.]
[MAN.]
Check or bet, Sir.
[MAN 2.]
I can't beat him with two pair.
This guy's toxic.
[MAN 3.]
I should have never come to Las Venus.
I'm out.
[MAN.]
You? Check or bet? [WOMAN.]
I'm not going to win with a couple of deuces against this guy.
He knows when I'm bluffing.
[MAN.]
They fold.
Pot goes to the gentleman from Earth.
- Gentleman from Earth.
- I suppose it's time to go.
Color us up.
[DEVICE BEEPS.]
[CLEARS THROAT.]
Sir, come with me.
I don't think he wants us to leave.
Hmm.
I do believe you're right.
[ALL GASPING.]
[MAN.]
What the? - [SECURITY GUARD SCREAMS.]
- [CRASHING.]
You know what? You're right.
- I could get used to this.
- Hmm.
[MAN.]
What was that about? [WOMAN.]
If that guy was cheating, I want my money back.
Was he cheating? What's going on? I want my money back.
[WOMAN CONTINUES, INDISTINCT.]
Are you scared working for the Adari resistance, professor? Of course I am, Atria.
I could lose my tenure here if anyone finds out.
But some things are too important to just ignore.
I know.
And I have come to realize my place may not be here at the Academy but on Adar, fighting for my clone brothers and sisters.
But I don't know how.
I want you to study some of the great Earth leaders from the past.
People such as Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Aldus McCormack of the Fillion 7 expedition.
Now, these were people that affected meaningful change without resorting to acts of violence.
But the Seeker will not allow change without violent revolution.
Unless the Adari have a new leader.
New leader? Have you ever read the Adari Articles of Founding? Was that a homework assignment I missed? [CHUCKLES.]
They are the original legal statutes on which the colony of Adar was founded.
Now, they're over 1,500 pages, but if you read them carefully, you'll see that anyone can run for Seeker.
But are you saying that a clone can run for Seeker? Yes.
But a clone would never win.
The Seeker will never allow it.
That may be true.
But think about the message it will send to your fellow manufactured humans across Adar to see one of their kind represented.
So, what do we do now? Well, we find a clone to run for Seeker.
That won't be easy.
They're all terrified of Seeker Hubbell.
Well, I'm confident that we can find someone, Atria.
[SIGHS.]
[PLAYING CLASSICAL MUSIC.]
Miss Zhou? [CHUCKLES.]
May I? You may.
[BOTH LAUGH.]
You look absolutely breathtaking.
Oh, well, you don't look so shabby yourself.
- Good evening, professor.
- Good evening.
Excuse me.
[INDISTINCT CHATTERING.]
Good evening.
I trust you both are enjoying yourselves? Professor.
Hello.
You've done a terrific job of arranging the gala this year.
- It's really the best one yet.
- Thank you very much.
- It's been lovely so far.
- Good.
Glad you enjoyed it.
Plenty of time for me to still ruin it.
- Ugh.
- [BRACELET BEEPS.]
You were saying something, Xander? Did you just ghost my uncle? Well I'll leave you to it.
Huh.
I'll go and get you a drink, shall I? - Champagne? - Yes, please.
Thank you.
Enjoying yourself? I'm not sure that's any of your concern anymore, professor.
It was an innocent question.
Well, I've learned, with you, there are no innocent questions.
I want you to come back, Xander.
I realize I may have kept too much from you.
But I can trust you.
That's right.
You can trust me.
Problem, professor, is I'm not sure that I can trust you.
If you'll excuse me.
You're excused.
I can't believe you.
- Excuse me? - You heard me.
Do you not understand respecting the sanctity of a marriage bond, or is that another human custom - that I do not comprehend? - Slow down, Matta.
- I don't think you understand.
- I saw you staring at him.
You told my husband that you were in love with him, did you not? No.
And that you did not care whether he was already joined.
Matta, that is not true.
Do you have such little respect for me that you only recite falsehoods? I don't know what you think you know, but there is nothing going on between me and Ralen.
Matta, please.
Jax is not at fault here.
Of course.
Taking her side as always.
Why does that not surprise me? Everything all right? Mm-hmm.
[DOOR SLIDES OPEN.]
[DOOR SLIDES CLOSED.]
[ELECTRONIC FEMALE VOICE.]
Greetings, Ralen.
You won't find it here.
Won't find what? She doesn't keep it in here.
She keeps it very well hidden.
If you consider her volleyball locker well hidden.
- I need that key.
- I know.
That's why you staged that regrettable display of faux anger earlier.
- It was not convincing? - Not to me.
Give me the key, and we can leave.
There's no reason for you to stay here any longer.
You've become far too comfortable among the humans.
That may be true.
But I'm not giving you the key.
Your father would be so disappointed.
If I have learned one thing from my time here on Earth, it's that I should no longer seek my father's approbation.
I should follow my own conscience.
Well, then you are a fool.
Perhaps.
Perhaps you should go back to Zatar.
I can take that key from you.
You can try.
[DRAMATIC BALLROOM MUSIC.]
[BOTH GRUNT.]
[VIOLIN MUSIC PLAYING.]
- [CHUCKLES.]
- This is nice.
Yeah.
Finally something that we can agree on.
[BOTH LAUGH.]
I saw my uncle earlier.
I'm surprised he let you ask me out.
I don't work for your uncle anymore.
I don't need his permission.
[LAUGHS.]
What are you talking about? Well, I didn't like what keeping secrets was doing to me.
Or to us.
Hmm.
Us, huh? - Hmm.
- I like the sound of that.
[CHUCKLES.]
I was your age, you know, when your uncle recruited me.
[CHUCKLES.]
I just wanted to be like my older brother.
I didn't know you had an older brother.
Hmm.
Yeah, we were close.
He died in the war.
I'm so sorry.
I don't know what to say.
How about we don't say anything.
I have the key, Commander Duvall.
I presume you know where to find the lock.
Where the hell did you get this? Were you going through my things? It does not matter how I got the key.
Just be grateful that I do.
What is it? Who's keeping secrets now, commander? Jax, I swear I've got no idea what that is.
I believe you.
What does this open? Pandora's Box.
Pandora's Box? What is that? I don't know.
- Do you know where it is? - I don't know that either.
But I do know it's now in the possession of your uncle.
Jax, he may not know where it is, but I think I do.
Okay.
Enjoy your evening.
[JAX.]
Ralen.
Ralen, wait.
That was strange.
I suppose you want me to show you where that box is kept? Absolutely.
Do you trust Ralen? I don't know anymore.
But I do know that box may hold all the answers I've been looking for.
I need to know what's inside.
[ATRIA.]
This is so fabulous, Pilar.
I'm so proud of you.
Turned out okay, didn't it? Thank you for taking me.
I know you had a lot of options.
No.
Just one.
If I've learned anything this year, it's that friends are always there when they need each other.
Anyway, Liam and Kira and Darin and Brian and Leanne and Laura and Kevin will all still be there tomorrow.
[LAUGHS.]
You know, you've not always given the greatest advice, but without you, I wouldn't have realized what I now need to do.
What's that? Listen to my soul.
[RALEN.]
Matta, wait.
I do not wish to speak to you again, Ralen.
- Farewell.
- Please.
Will you just listen to me? You should not have given Jax that key! The girl has been a pawn long enough.
It was time for her to discover who and what she truly is.
With her in your debt for you showing her the way? No.
Listen I think it's time for me to leave Earth behind.
We should return home to Zatar.
Perhaps this could be a new beginning for both of us.
Do you really mean that? Yes, I do.
The House of Ral and Maht needs an heir to ensure the future of the Zatarian race.
Perhaps we could give them one.
[SIGHS.]
[DOOR SLIDES OPEN.]
[ELECTRONIC FEMALE VOICE.]
Greetings, Pilar.
Atria, where are you going? Home.
But I thought you liked your life here.
Oh, I love my life.
I love the Academy, my friends.
But how can I ever really feel good about myself when all my sister and brother clones are still in servitude on Adar? I don't understand.
I'm going back to Adar to run for Seeker.
You can't do that, Atria.
That's suicide.
You do that, and the Seeker will kill you.
I have to try, if not for me, for my fellow manufactured humans who can't speak for themselves.
Well, if that's the case, then I'm going with you.
I can't ask you to do that.
It's too dangerous.
No kidding, but I can't let you go alone.
[BILLY D.]
I love you, kiddo, but you got to play along right now.
I'm doing all this for you.
It's all an act.
Tierney is very dangerous.
You stay away from her.
And from me too.
I love you so much, son.
I always will.
But it's best that you keep away from me.
I will find you, Dad.
I promise.
[DOOR OPENS.]
Who's there? I said no one's allowed to be in this office but me.
Father? Hello, daughter.
Commander Duvall, you're not authorized to be here.
Access to this area is restricted.
I will need to check with Dr.
Osborn.
Guess that'll have to wait.
[GRUNTS.]
[GUNSHOT.]
[BODY THUDS.]
[COMPUTERIZED BEEPING.]
[GASPS.]
