Everyone's an Artist

The Amazing Race
Ten teams began a Mega Leg
in Bologna, Italy.
Two Detours,
two Roadblocks, two cities.
Claire struggled
I'm trying to figure out
how this tool works.
while Linton
and Sharik were puzzled.
We don't have
any science background
at all.
Emily and
Molly couldn't get it into gear.
I'm so frazzled right now.
What am I doing wrong?
But Emily's Roadblock skills
revved them up.
- Yes.
- Yes!
Rich and Dom
- Oh, my God.
- and Glenda and Lumumba
Trying to make up the time
we lost, babe.
faced tough problems,
which left the newlyweds
alone in last place.
We got to move fast.
- Still with me, babe?
- I'm still with you, babe.
Even though we were
so far behind everybody,
I was confident
in my husband's skills.
-Do it right, then do it fast.
-Check.
Got you.
Hallelujah. Got you, baby.
- It's says
- "The Mega Leg continues."
Hallelujah!
"Drive to the city of Florence
and find Villa Bardini
for your next Roadblock clue."
-We got to go to Florence.
-We got to go.
-We got to run to the Go to go.
-Yes. All right. Go.
-Babe, you did amazing.
-Thank you, baby.
We're still behind.
We are heading
to the Villa Bardini.
Should be a pretty long ride.
Everyone always has a leg
where they struggle,
and nothing is gonna help
but getting to that task
-Yeah.
-and knocking it out to the best of our ability.
We're hungry.
We don't want to go home.
We making it.
We making it.
Mike and I are on our way
to the city center in Florence.
Centrois straight.
Okay.
We are in the middle
of the Mega Leg.
Essentially, the Mega Leg
is double everything.
We left the first Roadblock
in first.
We've done a leg, but, you know,
we're here for the race,
and so I can do
two more legs right now.
It's all good.
What a morning.
We jumped from,
I think, eighth to second,
because my sister killed it.
So far, the only contestants
we've been worried about
are the brothers.
This is nuts.
They're accustomed
to driving internationally,
so they're getting
to these challenges quicker.
If we can get them out
of their comfort zone,
maybe we'll have
an equal chance with them.
Well, at least
we have teams behind us.
We're going to Firenze.
-We're going to Florence, Italy.
-Florence.
Honestly, I don't know
anything about Florence.
Florence, Italy or,
as the Italians say, Firenze.
Now we just
have to mentally reset,
'cause it's a Mega Leg.
Round two, we're still
alive. I'm feeling a little tired.
It took me a while to finish up
building the Ducati.
As long as we're not eliminated,
I'm happy.
Our confidence has
taken a hit during the Mega Leg,
but I feel confident in Derek,
and I feel confident
in our partnership
and navigation.
So that's what
I'm gonna rely on.
I think our Roadblock strategy
has actually
been pretty good so far.
My dad has now done three,
and I've done zero.
The reason for that
is because I have anxiety.
Just in general,
I'm an anxious person.
So I was a little hesitant
to just even get started.
But since it's a Mega Leg,
I'll more than likely
do the next one.
And then hopefully we're
headed to see Phil on the mat,
because I
I'm tired.
Let's set the intention to
move up in ranking
to group one or group two.
-Okay.
-Which way? Which way?
Firenze,to
the right, to the right.
Honey, you got
to look at the signs with me.
-Don't just drive, but
also multitask Yes.
and look at the signs.
Today is our
three-year anniversary.
Look at the signs, honey.
Look at the signs.
Yes, love.
There's a lot
of synchronicity going on,
and we know for a certainty
that we're meant
to move forward
and stay in this game.
-I hear what you're saying.
-What am I saying?
You know,
for me to read the signs.
Yes.
Ooh, driving is tons of fun.
We're going now to Firenze.
A map would've been nice,
but at least
-we have proper directions.
-Yeah.
Mega Leg.
Double the Roadblocks, double
the Detours, double the pain.
I'm just looking
to see if I see a building
that would be
indicative of a fort.
I feel like
we should go up this road.
Yes.
Turn in to gate
at Largo Edoardo Speranza.
Right here.
Nice. Let's get in here
and do some work.
Oh, man, that was tough.
Turn in to the gate
at Largo Edoardo Speranza.
-Oh, my God.
-Oh, they just got here?
Follow the
signs to Villa Bardini.
Enter through the marked gate.
At least we see where to go.
-There's a sign for Villa Bardini right here.
-Okay.
On the door.
-Here we go.
-All right.
All right, Roadblock.
"Who Wants a Chiseled Body?"
About one third
of the world's art treasures
can be found here in Florence.
And arguably the most
famous sculpture on the planet
is Michelangelo's David,
which stands a staggering
17 feet high
in a museum behind the Duomo.
This Roadblock requires teams
to use the tools provided
and carefully chisel out
one of these blocks
to reveal a sculpture
hidden inside.
When the museum
director feels their artwork
-is ready for the gallery
-Okay.
they'll be
rewarded with a clue.
I guess it's me.
"Use the tools of an artist
and chisel out a sculpture
to receive your next clue."
-Hopefully I can do this. I'm nobody's artist.
-Yeah.
Yep, yep, yep, yep.
Okay.
"Choose any available
workstation with tools.
There's a marked example
of how your statue should look."
I have to make this
look like that.
We had to carve out
the details of this statue.
I'm like, "There is no way
that this is happening."
Just take your time.
"Roadblock.
Who Wants a Chiseled Body?"
- I do.
- You do.
I don't know, Mike.
It's gonna be a while.
The other team's here,
but no-no rush.
I don't know what is gonna
help me get through this thing.
Thinking about
how best to do this.
There's something wrong here.
Like, there's no way any of us,
even if we had a month
to do this, could actually
complete this
and make it look good.
Yes. Yes.
And I finally saw
pieces starting to fall off
to reveal the sculpture.
I have hope.
Yes. She's figuring it out.
Look away.
Molly knocked the block off,
and you can see the statue
begin to reveal itself.
And so I'm like,
"Oh, that's all it is?"
The expectation was
definitely that I have to carve
every little, like, all
this man's ribs, the toenails.
Look at that view, baby!
"Who Wants a Chiseled Body?"
- You want to do it?
- I'll do it.
Yes.
Oh, my God. Thank God.
Hey, guys.
Oh, my God. How
do you do this? I'm so confused.
Oh, it's probably in there,
already made.
Let me start.
You guys have it to perfect.
I know it's in there.
I mean, I was a sculpting major.
Didn't I tell you that?
Here we go.
Okay. Roadblock.
"Who Wants a Chiseled Body?"
-I'll do it.
-Okay.
We made it.
All right, Sharik, you got it.
I just realized
Salsa dancers aren't here.
- They left before us.
- We moved up.
We moved up. Look at that.
Almost done?
- Um
- It-it looks pretty good from here.
There's some places
I'm gonna have to fix.
The hardest thing
about chiseling was
the plaster
is inside the details,
and so
when you get into the details,
if you hit it too hard
to get that plaster out,
then you're damaging the statue,
and it'll be no good.
I think I'll be here
at least another half hour.
Slowly, but surely.
It says, "Go straight."
Go straight?
You're looking for a gate.
Largo Speranza.
Aw, shoot.
That was the street.
It's all one-way.
Babe, it's okay. Just breathe.
We're gonna have
to go all the way around.
Oh, my God.
Here we go.
Roadblock.
"Who Wants a Chiseled Body?"
-Oh, man.
-I do.
What?
Let's get it, Abby.
Holy crap.
- It looks
- I know. Take it a step at a time.
-Wow.
-Oh.
Right up there.
Roadblock.
"Who Wants a Chiseled Body?"
I'll do it.
Oh, okay. That's a start.
All right.
Making headway here.
So, my strategy here is
to break the bottom so that
the top can hopefully just fall.
That's the goal.
I feel good that Sharik
is actually getting a chance
to do this Roadblock right here,
because she was nervous
to do any Roadblock.
Right now, she's calm.
I know that if a team leaves,
she's going
to get a little bit anxious.
So I'm kind of looking out
for that to make sure
I keep her motivated.
Good, good, good, good.
Think we need
to go to the right.
- There?
- Yep.
- I see the gate.
- Oh, my God.
Six. There's only six cars,
babe. Don't worry.
Grab your stuff. Let's go.
Right here, baby, come on.
Roadblock.
"Who Wants a Chiseled Body?"
You might have to chisel.
-All right. I need
-Here.
You got it, Aubrey.
Ooh! Ooh!
After that drive,
this is a really great feeling.
I just start, like, hammering.
She went to town.
-You can see the chunks, just ding, ding, ding.
-Yeah.
This was what I wanted to do
to the dang map.
Bam.
Clue box.
-Roadblock.
-Roadblock.
"Who wants a chiseled"
Oh, perfect.
You. Derek, Derek.
-Here. Run fast.
-Nice.
Who is that, Michelangelo?
This can't be right.
Focus on your sculpture, babe.
Oh, boy.
-Here, here. Centro. Centro.
-Centro.
Exit, exit, exit.
I feel like we are super behind.
We are a little bit behind.
Do you know where
you're going right now?
I'm kind of using my senses
to head towards
the general direction.
-You're using senses?
-Yes. Mm-hmm.
You're just kind
of thinking everything's
-just flowing this way?
-I'm trusting myself.
-But Oh, my God.
-Just
-I'm asking you to trust me, because I'm-I'm the navigator.
-Okay. Okay.
I do feel we're going
towards the right direction.
Honey, we're
driving the streets of Italy.♪
-We're still in it. We're still in it.
-This was a crazy leg.
It's a crazy leg,
but we're still in it, babe.
-Yeah.
-Yeah.
I don't think this is
where we're supposed to be, but
Oh, there's a marker.
Aah!
I did not even
want to come up here.
There's a clue box.
-Roadblock.
-Roadblock.
-"Who Wants a Chiseled Body?"
-I do.
To the left. Yep.
-I'm here!
-Yay!
It feels excellent
to see people still here.
We're not out.
All right, all right, all right.
I think I'm
done with all the chiseling.
I need a check, please.
Just right here?
I got some water here, 'cause
I know I'm about to plaster.
Any places on the statue
that you damage,
we have in our tool kit
a water and plaster
to make it look as close
to the example as possible.
Can I get a check, please?
-No.
-Okay.
I had a hole
in here that I forgot about.
In my head,
if the structure's broken,
the top should fall,
but that's not how it's going.
It was much harder
than it looks.
How did everyone else
get all of this so fast?
Oy, yoi, yoi.
Can I get a check, please?
Yes.
Yes! Yes! Love you!
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Oh, my God.
Molly ended up getting her
clue. Like, I wasn't concerned.
If I get it
in the next check or two,
we'll be able to run them down
in the final Detour.
-All right. Detour.
-Detour.
"Eye for Fashion
or Window of Opportunity?"
Florence is a hotspot
for fashion,
home to world-class designers,
fashion schools,
fashion museums,
and with backdrops like this,
you see lots of fashion shoots.
Teams need to find three
of them scattered around town,
then memorize the specific
details of each model's outfit.
If they can identify
the correct outfits
from this series of sketches
and match them to the locations
in which they saw them,
a fashion designer
will hand them a clue.
Amazingly, these small windows
helped with the outbreak
of the bubonic plane.
Customers
could make curbside pickups
without having
direct contact with sellers.
After the outbreak of COVID,
these unique portals
made a big comeback.
To complete this Detour,
teams must find
three of 150 windows
scattered around the city
to pick up some of
Italy's food favorites--
Tuscan soup,
cured meats and biscotti.
Once they've
delivered everything intact
to a pair of diners
at this outdoor trattoria,
they'll get their next clue.
-We're gonna do Eye for Fashion.
-Yeah.
It feels pretty incredible
that we're first.
Check, please.
I think I got it, sir.
-It's good.
-Thank you, sir.
Yeah, yeah.
We can still catch up.
Detour. Eye for Fashion.
-Is that what you're thinking?
-I'm cool with that. Yeah.
-So, just remember it?
-We're gonna do Eye for Fashion.
All right.
Oh, here.
Are we last?
Right here.
Hey, guys.
This-this way.
This way, right here.
All right.
-Roadblock.
-Oh, God.
"Who Wants a Chiseled Body?"
Okay, I'll do it.
Here we go.
Piazza della Repubblica.
From here,
go to Ponte Vecchio.
And then go over there.
-Did the girls come out?
-I haven't seen 'em.
We need to figure out
which way to go.
-Um Yeah.
-Come down where we came from.
Am I creating that?
Yeah.
-Really?
-Yeah.
Dom, just trust yourself.
I'm creating this
I can't do this.
Yes, you can.
Yes, you can.
I walked around
and saw the other teams,
and it looked like they had
sculpted that amazing sculpture.
How am I
supposed to create this?
And I just knew this is
not something that I can do.
Rich, honestly,
I'd rather risk it
and take a penalty,
because this is not what I do.
I can get kind of scared
with what I don't know.
I can be emotional,
all over the place,
and, um, despair set in
really quickly.
- Go. Boo.
- No.
This is not my kind of thing.
-Boo, you got it.
-Yeah, I can't.
-You got it. Trust yourself.
-Uh, no, no. No, no.
No, I'm done.
-Rich, honestly, I-I'd rather
-Boo. Boo
I-I'd rather risk it
and take a penalty,
because I-I'm not I can't.
This is not what I do.
I was willing to take a penalty,
because I just figured
this is not something I can do.
He can't just
take over this Roadblock.
I-I'd rather
take a four-hour penalty,
-and then we can go to the next thing.
-Boo.
If we take a four-hour penalty,
we're automatically out.
I want you, for 15 minutes
-Yeah.
-to pretend that you're a freaking sculptor.
-Okay, I'll try it.
-Okay.
-Okay. You got this, baby.
-Yeah.
This is not my, uh,
uh, wheelhouse at all.
So we go to
three different fashion shoots.
We got to memorize what
we saw at each fashion shoot.
We got to make a right soon.
Oh, this is killing my shins.
This is the second half
of the Mega Leg.
It's been a long day.
We just need to
power through and try to finish.
-Don't twist your ankles, Em.
-Okay.
We're about to
be at Piazza della Signoria.
Is this the fashion show?
Yep.
You want to remember one,
I'll remember the other?
- Yeah.
- Which one you want to remember?
-I'll remember the girl.
-Okay.
You go to this piazza.
You look at the-the photo shoot.
You remember what the,
uh, models are wearing.
I'm more of a visual learner,
so, like, if I can look at
something, read something,
then I'll remember it.
You got the whole thing.
The-the amulet on her neck?
Yeah.
- Her broomstick?
- Yeah.
All right, we're gonna
go to Piazza della Repubblica.
Make a left
on Via degli Speziali.
Left, Via degli Speziali.
Look for the fashion
photographer in the piazza.
Yeah, he's got his camera.
-I'll remember left, you remember right.
-Okay.
We had to
look at all of the details.
Tan, black leather vest.
He's holding a purple flower.
I was looking at color,
jewelry, accessories, shoes.
Got crazy necklace and something
wrapped around his ear.
I have a pretty
good photographic memory,
so I was just taking a snapshot.
-Okay. Left here. Right.
-Make a right. Okay.
So now we're gonna
go to della Repubblica.
It's gonna be on the left.
Work fast, work hard.
You got this.
Keep going, keep going.
When I reread the clue,
I realized it was to chisel out
what was already there,
which makes complete sense.
Ain't that a bitch.
I'm not gonna lie, Claire,
he's got some bullet holes.
-I believe in you.
-Thank you.
Now this is the part
where I thrive in,
like, small, little details.
Babe, keep going!
My poor little guy here
is gonna have to get
smoothed out once I'm done.
Keep chipping away, Shasha.
His forehead fell off.
Gonna have to glue it back on.
-Over here.
-Oh, I see it.
That, see, it helps.
-Oh, is it three people?
-Is it three?
- I'll do the two on the right.
- They're still here?
Here they come.
I'll get left, you get
right. Okay, there's three outfits.
Michael and Marcus,
they didn't really seem
like they were taking it
all in, like we were.
I think they
were feeling the pressure
that we were right there.
-Did you see the middle girl?
-Yeah. -MICHAEL: I'm good.
Okay, let's go.
Come on,
Mike. Let's go up this way.
Come on, Moll.
Getting that booty off.
- We're still in it. It ain't over.
- Yeah.
Can I get a check, please?
Good job.
It's not done.
I did my best to fix this.
This is the only piece.
Okay.
Excuse me.
Can I get a check?
Can I get a check?
Check.
Very good.
-Yes! Yes!
-Yeah!
Thank you so much.
Thank you.
-Yes. Yes.
-Yes. Thank you.
Oh, thank you, thank you,
thank you!
Yes. Thank you so much.
-We're gonna do Window of Opportunity.
-Sweet.
-All right. We're doing Window of Opportunity.
-Window of Yep.
We're gonna do
Window of Opportunity.
This one.
Let's do Eye for Fashion.
Okay. Let's go.
We're back in third.
We need to find
on the map where to go.
Okay.
-One, that seems pretty far away.
-Here's one.
- Want to work together?
- Yeah.
Okay, let's do it.
"Make your way
to the marked wine windows."
-See you.
-Got to get out of here.
Scusi.Can you guys help us?
Trying to find Palazzo Rucellai.
We wanted to run our own race.
We don't have to call somebody,
and we don't have
to do it with someone else.
- There it is.
- Wow.
Oh, my God.
-Ah, this is beautiful.
-Are we in the right place?
I'm looking.
Molly, Molly, Molly,
it's right here.
Here's Piazza del Duomo.
-Piazza del Duomo
-Right here, Marcus. It's right in front of you.
-Which one you want?
-You take the right, I'll take the left.
- Okay.
- All right.
I got it.
-This way?
-We got to go south.
So once we saw
three photography sets,
we had to run
to put in the sketchbooks
-the images of the models that we saw.
-The models.
- I'm good.
- Okay.
Where we going, Marcus?
Straight?
They went that way.
Let's get first. Get
this right, get to the Pit Stop.
Babe, you're doing awesome.
Baby, I'm
gonna meditate for you.
Sending positive vibes.
Check.
- Yes, let's go!
- Oh, yeah!
- You did great, honey.
- Thank you.
-We're gonna do wine.
-We're gonna do Windows of Opportunity.
Can I get a check, please?
All right, you got it, Sharik.
No.
I
Those aren't holes, though.
Okay, just
Okay, I'll clean it up.
All right.
You got it, Sharik. You got it.
I don't think I can do this.
I'm over it.
Stay focused.
You got it. You got it.
-I am focused, Dad. I am focused.
-Stay focused. You got it.
-You got it. You got it.
-I'm Dad.
You got it.
- Okay, where are we going?
- Across the Ponte Vecchio,
Abby.
Ooh!
This is Piazza de' Rucellai,
- which is what we needed.
- Oh, look.
Red and yellow flowers.
-The window's right there.
-Okay.
Grazie.
Each restaurant we went to
to pick up food
had a-a cool
kind of little window,
very small, that went
into the restaurant,
and we had
to go through the window,
and then grab
whatever they gave us.
We got looks like a risotto-type thing. Looks tasty.
-Something. Yeah.
-Okay. Where are we going?
-Off to the next one.
So it's right here somewhere.
-Do you see a sign? Okay.
-It's right here.
-She's wearing black and blue.
Black and gold.
Blue, black. Oh, bandana.
He's wearing the bandana print.
-That's it. I can remember that.
-All right, let's go.
And then now
we got to work our way up.
I have no idea what technique
the other people are using.
I'm using my years of not
doing this to invent something.
Can I get a check, please?
It's got to be it.
This is it.
- Fantastic.
- Good? Oh, thank God.
-Yes!
-Thank you so much. Thank you.
- That's it.
- Sure, yay,
got the clue, but at what cost?
-I feel like crying, and I don't want to cry.
-No, you did a great job.
You know, I was
here chiseling away for, like,
an hour and a half,
and my-my hands hurt.
I can barely open the clue.
-Window of Opportunity.
-Window of Opportunity?
- Sure.
- It was difficult.
Yes, Dad, it was difficult.
And you pulled through.
You definitely
should have done that one.
-That was physical, for sure.
-But you did it, though.
I'm proud of you.
I know my dad was excited,
and I really wanted
to be able to show up for him,
but, like,
I could barely show up
for myself.
I, like, don't even want to do
this anymore. This is terrible.
Sharik, you got it.
I set very strong
boundaries with myself,
and once I feel
a boundary is going over,
then I literally will be like,
-"I'm not doing that."
-You got this, Sharik.
-You did it. Sharik
-I want to go home.
No, I honestly do.
I'm not lying.
-I want to go home.
-Sharik, stop.
You got this. Come on. Stop.
When it comes
to making decisions,
I am strongheaded
about what I want to do.
And then she might have another
opinion about what we should do.
We're not quitters.
-Michael. Right here.
-What?
Oh, it's right here.
Okay.
All right.
"Match the models' outfits
to the corresponding location."
-Damn.
-Come on, man.
I didn't take a picture.
We went to
take the exam,
and it was a picture
of the background at a piazza.
Damn, 'cause I didn't
really look at the background.
Okay.
All right, let's do one more.
-That's the fir-- the last one, right?
-Last one.
Thankfully,
she was keeping track
of the images of the piazzas,
because I was thinking of names.
Oh, wait, there's multiples.
- Don't talk too loud, though.
- Okay.
Check this out.
-Signoria is the first one.
-That's the Signoria?
-Are you sure?
-Yeah.
This is the right girl.
-Is this one?
-This is different.
And that's correct.
Yeah, that's correct.
Can we get a check, please?
-I'm sorry. -Okay.
-Okay, okay.
Do we have the places for stuff?
You got this, sweetie.
Judge, please.
-Bellissimo.
-It's good?
Hallelujah! Let's go!
Thank you, Jesus.
We're all very much
in this, y'all. Let's go!
The pressure is on.
Let's the heck up out of here.
Having no
non-elimination rounds,
-it just heightens the intensity
-Yeah.
-of what it is that you do now.
Like, everything is now.
- We gotta read the clue.
- I know, I know.
-Window of Opportunity.
-Window of Opportunity.
Yes.
Dom's
giving it her best right now,
and she's feeling emotions.
When everyone left, and I knew
I was the last one there,
I got so emotional about it,
because I felt
I couldn't achieve this.
It was my internal challenge.
Why is this so hard?
We don't feel 100% confident,
-but we're pretty close.
-Yeah.
We think we got something.
Check, please.
It's this one.
If they get it
and we get it next,
footrace.
-That is correct.
-Oh, yes. Thank you. All right.
Okay. "Race on foot to your next
Pit Stop, Piazza Ognissanti."
Teams must find me
at one of the estimated
60 piazzas here in Florence,
Piazza Ognissanti--
which is now the Pit Stop
for this leg of the race.
The last team to check in here
will be eliminated.
-We got to go up.
-Okay.
Which one did we go to first?
Because remember,
it was the Poseidon.
- Was the first one?
- Yeah.
Then that's this one.
This is Signoria.
That's the first one.
-Okay. So, this with the blue?
-Yeah.
We are making
changes to location--
what we thought was
Piazza Signoria location
to the Repubblica location.
Can we get a check, please?
Okay. That's correct.
"Last team to check in
will be eliminated."
-All right.
-We just passed the boys at the
So now we're running
to the Pit Stop.
So proud of us.
It's gonna
be the second bridge.
-We can catch up.
-I'm gonna do my best.
Yes.
Just a little past the bridge.
-Scusi.
-Excuse me.
On the mat.
-Oh, my God.
-Very good, very good.
Welcome to Florence, Italy.
-Oh, thank you so much.
-Thank you. -Emily and Molly,
after this exhausting Mega Leg,
I am pleased to tell you
you are team number one.
Yes! Oh, my God.
As the winners
of this leg of the race,
-you have won some Expedia
reward points, -BOTH: Oh, sweet.
which is good
for a five-night stay
for two in Sydney, Australia.
Oh, my God.
Expedia experts are gonna design
- Oh, my God.
- a unique local experience,
which includes
a Blue Mountain hiking tour,
Aussie barbecue cooking classes,
private Sydney Harbour cruise,
and Hunter Valley wine tasting.
- It's our birthday trip next year.
- Yes.
The fact that we got first
on the Mega Leg is insane.
This is, like,
beyond our wildest dreams.
This is more than just
a race for a million dollars.
This is a-a personal journey.
This is a journey of a relationship.
We're in the perfect
place at the perfect time.
-Yeah.
-Every moment has just felt like
-the universe put us there for a reason.
-Yeah.
There you go.
Oh, you look
so disappointed right now.
We usually get first, Phil.
I like the
super-competitiveness, though.
Man, you finish second
after a Mega Leg,
and you're, like, you know,
beating up on yourself.
Winning-winning matters, Phil.
-Rojo y Azulcoming for you!
-Let's roll!
We decided to team
up with Mattie and Quinton,
because, you know,
we're just exhausted.
In this, uh, Detour,
four heads are better than one,
-and let's just
-Than two.
Maybe one, 'cause we're have
-at a half a head each.
-We're exhausted.
-Careful.
-Ah. Scusi.
- Should be this one, guys. Yes.
- It's this one.
You grab it from the window.
-Grazie.
-Grazie.
Guys, we can't go too fast.
Can't drop.
Don't spill the beans!
Do you see 'em?
-Okay, okay, okay.
-Red and black.
Red and black.
Okay. Here's where
they're trying to trick us.
He's wearing
the bandana print, too,
but he's got the jacket.
They both have black sleeves.
-One's a red dress. ¿Lista?
-Sí.
Go this way, yeah. This way.
Osteria. Right here.
Ciao.
-Thank you.
-Grazie.
Looks like a pretty good dinner.
Oh, wait,
there's one here, guys.
Hold up.
Right here, right here.
Oh, my God. Can I eat this?
-No. No.
-Can I eat this?
-Just a little piece?
-No.
Grazie.
Sharik, come on.
-I want to go home, Dad.
-I understand.
Do you have water?
- Do you want this?
- No, I want water.
- No, I don't have any water.
- I want to go home.
I-I'm over it.
I see 'em.
- Okay, so
- I know she has a skirt, dress, leggings.
-Heels, heels. Belt, belt.
-Hey, get us back to
-This street, all the way down.
-Okay.
Hello.
Grazie.
-Okay.
-Okay. Where now?
Right here, baby, right here.
- All right. You ready?
- Yeah.
-That was blue. No, I saw it.
-She-- That is not correct.
-He's wearing white pants.
-David has a really good memory.
- We're doing great.
- Crushing it.
Look at
this beautiful couple here.
- Thank you so much.
- Yeah!
Don't drop anything.
- You guys, go ahead.
- No, come on.
I just
don't want to spill, dude.
Okay, we're ready.
-Yes! Grazie.
-Yes! Thank you, guys.
-Yes! Let's go.
-Grazie.
-Thank you. Grazie.
-Grazie.
We're ready.
Corretto.
-Yes!
-Yeah!
"The last team to check in
will be eliminated."
Let's go see Phil.
I'm sorry.
-I'm sorry that
-Boo.
we won't make it.
-Boo, we're gonna make it.
-I'm sorry.
I was looking at this
imperfect piece that I made,
which it didn't look
as good as any of the others.
-I won't stop.
-That's right, baby.
But I just kept going
until it was sufficient.
I filled in the plaster holes.
Congratulations.
Love and light.
"Eye for Fashion
or Window of Opportunity?"
Eye for Fashion.
What's the highest
you've been so far?
Sixth.
You're team number three.
Hello.
-Thank you.
-All right.
We're into the Pit Stop.
One, two, three.
Luis and Michelle, Quinton and
Mattie, I am pleased to tell you
that you are
teams number four and five.
-Yeah!
-Yes!
Good job, guys.
Here's a team.
Yeah!
There you go.
Aubrey and David,
you're team number six.
-You get to race in another leg.
-Yes. Yes.
You have survived the Mega Leg.
- Baby, this is it.
- Osteria Belle Donne.
-Thank you.
-Thank you.
You know,
we're grateful to be here.
We do not believe
there's any value
to being negative.
We got this, babe.
We ain't going home today.
Let's just ask people.
You can ask people.
I don't want to walk anymore.
Okay. Okay, this guy.
- Can I ask you a question?
- Yeah.
Sharik was checked out.
And, um, she got sassy with
me throughout the entire ordeal.
She has to listen to what Dad is
saying, because Dad knows best.
That way.
Finally!
Ciao.
-Ah, grazie.
-Grazie. Grazie.
-Grazie.
-Thank you.
Okay, you hold it.
Babe, people
are hauling tail right now.
This moment is really what
makes us, as individuals.
Like, it's how you
handle the tough situations.
- Hi.
- Okay, these two are easy.
You want to hold the easy one?
-These are actually easy.
-Yes. Yes.
- That is easy to spill.
- Okay. All right.
This has to be it, Boo.
So this is grunge, blue.
We have no
non-elimination legs,
-and it's just go, go, go.
-I remember her,
-you remember him.
-Okay.
One window.
Hello.
-Thank you.
-Thank you.
Nice place.
Oh, my God.
12 hours later.
I know
this is the furthest down
-that you've finished so far.
-Yeah, we're slipping.
-We're slipping. Seven.
-One, four, seven.
We can't focus
on the negative trend.
We have to have hope
and be able to push through
and use it to drive us.
- I got white dress.
- Okay.
Black stockings, shoes,
gold dress, gold earrings.
-Gold.
-Beautiful afros.
You look beautiful, queens.
- Here you go.
- Yes.
We are going
to the Pit Stop!
Number two or one?
-We'll both remember the middle.
-Okay.
Okay. Necklace.
White earrings. Beautiful hair.
Yes, honey, that's beautiful.
-Okay, now where we got to go?
-Towards the river.
I love you, sweetie.
Happy anniversary.
We got this, Sharik.
I know that you miss home.
I just, I'd rather be at home.
Hello.
-Thank you, miss.
-Thank you. Yep.
-Ah. Okay. Thank you.
-I got it.
Down here, down here.
To the right, to the right.
We are last.
-How do we do it?
-Oh, my goodness. It's pictures.
Okay, let's do this.
-This was the first one. Yeah.
-First one.
- We got to put them in the slots.
- Okay. So the first one?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Put this one on the, uh,
the two beautiful queens.
-Is that it?
-Yeah.
Okay.
-Hello.
-Hi.
I'm sorry. That's not correct.
I got it.
I know that you're tired.
-I-I I'm not
-It's been a long day.
-I'm proud of you.
-I'm honestly not that tired anymore.
I just want to go home.
Yeah, his shirt was white, huh?
- I think that was white.
- Yep, yep, yep.
-Okay.
-Check, please.
- Sorry. Not correct.
- Okay.
We were
honestly really struggling.
It was taking more time than
was necessary to get it done,
completed and get out of there.
So
Do we need to go back?
- This one.
- Uh, I feel we have that right.
Another thing we could do
is we can go back out.
If you want to, we can.
We're still in this race, Boo.
No, we're not. I'm not
gonna delude myself, baby.
This is not leading to
anywhere I think we need to go.
This doesn't feel right.
I'm so proud of us.
I'm so proud of us.
I know these are
tears of joy,
because you
are team number eight.
To be standing right here
on this mat without quitting.
It feels amazing.
It really does.
- I'm so proud of us.
- That's a victory.
Right here. Oh, right here,
right here, right here.
- Thank you.
- Thank you.
-All right.
-Oh, my God.
Okay. White shirt, white pants.
Light color feather.
So we got that one.
-Remember, this is the tall tower.
-Black shoes.
-Number one, tall tower.
-So that's where we got it mixed up.
Where?
We kept putting the Black
queens, beautiful, with this.
-Probably.
-Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Careful, careful,
'cause if that spills,
-Okay.
-they're gonna want us to do it again.
Okay. No problem.
-And I for one will not be doing it again.
-Sorry.
Okay. Okay.
Good job, baby.
Any switches
for the-for the blue?
Top one?
Somewhere down here. Here we go.
I think we
serve it to any couple.
-Hello. Here you go.
-Hello.
Yay. Thank you.
We didn't pass
any Piazza Ognissanti.
Grazie. Grazie.
No.
You keep asking me that.
The answer is still no.
- Let's finish strong, baby.
- Okay.
We're close by.
We didn't
see it that way, did we?
Wasn't really paying attention.
Okay. Come on.
- Finish strong, baby.
- Okay.
Almost there, Shasha.
- I just want to be done.
- I know.
I think it's right here.
Hi there.
Linton and Sharik,
I know it's been a day.
Yeah. My arms hurt.
Just not worth it.
I want to go home.
Please send me back to New York.
- Really? -'Cause I'm just, I'm over it.
- She was frustrated today.
Terribly frustrated today.
Well, I'm pleased to tell you
that you are team number nine.
As you stand here right now,
you have a choice.
One is leave the race, go home
to New York, you're done.
- Mm-hmm.
- The other is you keep on racing.
What do you want to do?
Do you want to keep racing?
-You know I want to keep racing. I love The Amazing Race.
-Okay.
Sharik, you got to be
more excited than that.
Come on.
My arms hurt so much.
- Yes, but
- Phil, have you ever chiseled anything?
I have.
You want to keep racing?
Yeah, I'll keep racing
with my father.
-You want to keep racing?
-Yes, Phil. Yes, Phil.
-I'll keep racing.
-All right.
You can't give up
on your dad right now.
-Your dad is here for you.
-I'm not gonna give up on him.
I just need to sleep.
Strength just comes through
these times, these tough times.
You good?
I'll do it for you. Strictly.
Rich and Don, unfortunately,
you are the last team to arrive,
and I'm sorry to tell you
you have been eliminated
from the race.
You had your ups and downs,
but there's a lot
to be proud of as well.
I'm thankful to have someone
like Richard, who
who believes in me so much.
I'm so honored to be with you
and to celebrate our
third-year anniversary today.
Maybe it's symbolic
that on your anniversary
you go through
a really challenging time
and at the end of it,
you leave here together.
It's incredible what
this race really does give you,
if you allow it to.
Memories and truths
that will stay with us
for the rest of our lives.
And it's been
a beautiful journey,
and I'm glad I went with
this wonderful man,
who has such a pure heart.
Mwah. And I'm so grateful
to call him my-my dude.
Next time
onThe Amazing Race
You're going
to the Kingdom of Jordan.
Is that real
or are we seeing things?
- We're in Petra!
- Petra!
This is amazing.
- Wow.
- This is incredible.
This is hot,
watching Roadblocks.
Eat up.
