The Voice UK (2012) s06e03 Episode Script

Blind Auditions 3

1 WILL.
I.
AM: Previously on The Voice TOM: I always look for something that excites me, that moves me.
JENNIFER: It's about what you do with your opportunity and utilising that.
Team Hudson, it's gotta be.
Yes! WILL.
I.
AM: We ain't messing around.
The mission is to find that star.
GAVIN: I want Team Gavin to be a team of artists.
I wanna be blown away by some singers that are undeniable.
.
.
you be you They better deliver.
This is the biggest opportunity of my life.
When I'm singing, I feel so happy.
You have an incredible voice.
As a singer, you always dream about 'what if', what could happen.
It would mean something to me to be a signed artist.
TOM: I'm in it to win it.
We all are.
I'm gonna be able to find the next superstar.
Press your button! You're a songbird.
I just didn't feel it.
Oh, my God.
This is The Voice Are we all sitting comfortably? Then we shall begin.
I'm just really excited for the buzz, when the lights come on.
The point where we walk on that stage, the game is on.
So I'm up to four now.
How many have you got? I've got three.
Three now.
I'm rocking the peace sign.
Peace! Got two singles! The band - I'm so excited to perform with them.
Shake it off! Shake it off! I'm just gonna enjoy it today.
I can't wait.
Yeah.
My name is April Sullivan, I'm 23 years old and I love musical theatre.
Currently, I work at Disneyland at the Frozen show.
My character's name is Greta.
Oh, it's amazing.
It truly is magical.
When I was little, I used to bounce up and down to Disney songs - Pocahontas, Beauty and the Beast, Ariel I loved.
What's great about musical theatre is it's so different.
I can't even describe how much I love being on stage.
When I'm singing, I feel so happy.
It's the buzz, it's the electricity.
April is bright, sunny, happy.
You've gotta laugh.
It's so much fun! Very positive all her life.
She lights up the room wherever she goes.
I would love Jennifer Hudson, because she's been in musical theatre, she knows what it's like.
I used to work on a cruise ship - I was on a Disney cruise ship.
For real? Yes! We did Hercules the Musical.
After I got off the ship, I hopped on that plane, I flew to Atlanta and I auditioned for American Idol.
I mean, the rest is history.
If Jennifer Hudson turned around, I think I'd probably do a little party dance.
I know for a fact I'm gonna walk out and have the biggest smile.
If a coach turned for me .
.
I-I I can't say that on camera! What were you gonna say? Wet myself! # Don't tell me not to live, just sit and putter # Life's candy and the sun's a ball of butter # Don't bring around a cloud to rain on my parade # I'm gonna live and live now # Get what I want, I know how # One roll for the whole shebang # One throw, that bell will go clang # Eye on the target and wham # One shot, one gunshot and BAM # Hey, look at me, world # Here I am # I'll march my band out # I'll beat my drum # And if I'm fanned out # Your turn at bat, sir # At least I didn't fake it # Hat, sir # I guess I didn't make it # Get ready for me, love, cos I'm a comer # I've simply gotta march, my heart's a drummer # Nobody, no, nobody # Is gonna # Rain on my # My-y-y-y Para-a-a-a-a-ade! She gave it a good shot.
Yeah.
I thought one of them was gonna turn.
Her voice is so strong! You can't help it, but this was really fun.
I really enjoyed every second of it.
I really did.
Because I love it so much.
Spirited.
It was spirited.
It was.
Spirited.
I had a really fun time, though.
I promise.
They just wanna go and audition for Broadway, be in the West End and she's gonna find all the love in the world.
It's difficult for us to know what to do with that outside of showtunes.
She's passionate about it though.
You did amazing, all right? I'm very proud of you.
Thank you very much.
Really proud of you.
We're gonna be a few moments.
We're just sorting out a little camera thing.
OK.
We're gonna be all right.
I wouldn't be able to do a lot with a singer like that.
Would you? No, it's not my field.
No.
That's Tom Jones! Sometimes when people come, they're so specific in that style.
Yeah.
They better deliver.
Oh, my God.
I'm sorry.
I can just hear Uh-oh! Are they standing there? Oh, there's nobody standing there? OK.
Stand-by, guys.
Oh, my God.
I'm Millicent Weaver, I'm 18, I've just finished college and I'm from Preston.
The first band that I was in was with my brother, so I was the bassist at that point and a backing singer.
I could tell she never really wanted to be a bassist.
I wanted to focus more on singing.
So she left when was she was about I'd say my style is mainly alternative indie, indie, everything indie.
I think of all the coaches, I think Gavin could be quite a good match for my sort of taste.
My voice, it's maybe not pop, but it's different.
Let's just hope he turns round.
I can't let them know that.
I can't let them know I'm nervous.
Every Saturday, we'd get a takeaway with our mum and sit in front of the TV and watch the show thinking, "That could be you one day, Millie.
That could be you.
" And now it is! # Hoo-ooh-ooh # With your feet on the air, your head on the ground # Try this trick and spin it, yeah # Your head will collapse # If there's nothing in it and you'll ask yourself # Where is my mind? # Where is my mind? # Where is my mind? # Way out in the water # See it swimming # Well, I was swimming in the Caribbean # And animals were hiding behind the rocks # Ooh, ooh # Except a little fish # And he told me east is west, tried to talk to me, talk to me # Where is my mind? # Where is my mind? # Where is my mind? # Ooh, ooh-ooh Ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh Yes! I knew it! I knew it! Hi! What's your name, love? My name's Millicent Weaver.
Whoo-hoo! Millicent, I was very close to pushing the button and that's the God's honest truth, but you've got Gavin there, so I mean Thank you.
I think the combination of you and Gavin is gonna be spectacular.
Yeah.
I didn't turn, because it felt as if you were singing like a magnet to attract Gavin.
Yeah.
I felt that.
You really were awesome.
I was too busy saying, "Oh, this is for Gavin all day," and I was like, "I knew it!" I knew that you would go for her.
But I think your instrument is gorgeous and it's in the pocket for what it seems like you want to do, so congratulations, because you deserve to be here, that's for sure.
I love that song.
Yeah? It's an incredible song.
I think that your voice is really dynamic and full and big and full of so much potential, so I'm excited to have you on my team and together we can get the best out of you.
That would be great! Thank you so much.
That was great.
I loved her and I love that song and I think she did a great version of it.
You've done it! You've reached for the stars and you've got there.
Oh, wonderful! We're gonna fight today.
This is fighting time! Yeah, it's gonna get dirty! Grr! Oh, wow! We're playing rough? Was that a disclaimer? "Nothing personal.
So when I call your names and shove you with my elbow, don't take it personal.
" This is the biggest moment of my life.
We're ready to go.
Tom Jones is ready.
They're just there! Like, just there! I'm David Jackson, I'm 29 years old and I'm from Belfast.
For my job, I work in retail, but I just wanna be a singer, a performer full-time.
I'm currently living back home with my mum and dad.
Stupidly, I bought a lot of stuff on a couple of credit cards and my parents were nice enough to have me back at home for a while to help me get rid of some debts so that I can move out and start up on my own Living at home can be a bit of a nightmare, you can feel a little deflated, but my mum and dad are very encouraging.
It's really lovely having him back.
I just love looking after him.
He's my wee son! When I told my mum about the blind auditions, it was on the phone.
I got through to The Voice.
She took a big, deep breath and then screamed.
Oh, my God, David! David has been singing from the day he came out of nappies.
When I hear him sing, it's just a feeling of sunshine.
I am so proud of him.
Are you excited? Aye.
I'm nervous.
I'm auditioning for The Voice, because I have sang forever, since I was a kid.
I've had people look at me and go, "You're not a singer," and pre-judging me - I'm a big guy from Belfast.
I'd rather they just listened to me singing.
If I could sing for the rest of my life, I would be so content.
I want to make those four guys turn around.
This is gonna change my life.
I can do it, though.
Yeah, I can do it.
# All I want is nothing more # Than to hear you knocking at my door # Cos if I could see your face once more # I'd die a happy man, I'm sure # And when you said your last goodbye # I died a little bit inside # I lay in tears in bed all night # Alone without you by my side # Cos if you loved me # Why'd you leave me? # Take my body # Take my body # And I all I want is Let it go! # And all I need is # Is to find somebody # Find somebody # Oh, oh-oh, whoa Mm-mm What What is your name? Where do you come from? My name is David Jackson, I'm from Belfast, I'm 29 years old.
And I can't believe you turned! Thank you so much.
WOMAN: David! Thank you! Is that your mom? No, she's over here somewhere.
I've gotta tell you, when you began singing, I wanted to hit it within three seconds, but I thought I wanted to be a bit cooler for you, because I immediately had the hairs on my arms standing up.
You have a voice that can go from so many different styles, but it all starts and finishes with how emotional you are.
Maybe your mum's to do with it, you know, she gives you a good energy.
She does.
She's amazing.
The feelings that you give out, it would be a privilege to have you on my team.
Amazing.
You gave me chill-bumps.
Thank you so much.
And I'm just here to tell you whatever you need to know, to support you, to direct you.
But you don't seem like you need too much help.
I just wanna sit and listen, to be honest.
We would have a lot of fun if you came with me.
I know we would, because I'm a Celt, you're a Celt.
Oh, going for the blood! Yes, of course! I felt what you were doing there.
I think that you have a distinctive voice and a distinctive style and I would listen to what songs you would like to do, because I feel you could do a lot of different kinds of things - Mm-hm.
.
.
because you have an incredible voice.
Incredible.
If you came with me, I would find songs that would make you shine.
Thank you very much.
What would you do, Will? I don't know.
You have a tough decision to decipher who is going to bring the bag of fun, as well as guide you on being more awesome on this season's Voice.
OK.
OK.
Block them out.
Listen to yourself.
Listen to yourself.
Jennifer! Jennifer! You better listen to your momma, boy! Jennifer Hudson.
Yeah! Hi, Mom! I wanna Can I kiss? Thank you so much.
Thank you! Thank you.
I'll take good care of him.
How long is she gonna cry for? Yes! Hi, Mom! How are you? Oh, you're gorgeous! I said, "Listen to your momma," and he did, so that means he's a good boy.
Now we get to share a son.
I promise I'll take good care of him.
I've been through this - it was my mother that encouraged me to do it, so I get it.
Oh, bless your heart! Now that is a voice right there! Oh, my God! He was undeniable.
I'm so proud.
He has done me so proud.
You've got a strong one there.
He's great.
I'm excited about that! Whoo! Oh, God love you! It's all right! EMMA: It's competition time, and here's another chance to win a monster prize worth ã80,000.
Courtesy of Warner Brothers, to mark the upcoming cinema release of Kong: Skull Island Is that a monkey? .
.
you and three guests will stay four nights at the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel London and attend a special screening of the film this March.
Magnificent.
But that's not all - you'll also receive ã45,000 tax-free cash and drive away in this Jeep Cherokee Longitude Plus with 17" alloy wheels and cruise control.
So, for your chance to win this amazing prize, just - Good luck.
Coaches, the next singer will be out in a few moments.
So, Tom, did you tour with Ray Charles? I didn't tour with him, I knew him very well - he was on my TV show.
Oh, my God! We duetted together.
Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin.
That's what I'm talking about! Little Richard was on there.
Little Richard.
Stevie Wonder was on there.
Jerry Lee Lewis was on.
When you used to have the shirt open with the hairy chest No, only sometimes.
I wore a tuxedo most of the time.
But any chance I could You know what I mean.
My name is Kevin, I'm 25, I live in London, but I'm from Martinique - it's a French Caribbean island.
I moved to London one year ago for opportunities in music.
I just hope the Queen will open the TV and look at me sing.
I have come on The Voice, because I want to sing for British people and try to show something different.
It's like a fire inside myself and I just want to .
.
to express this fire.
She has a beautiful voice, but I wouldn't know what to do with her.
It was a guy.
That was a guy?! Yes.
Did you know that was a guy? I knew it was a guy.
It was a guy?! A dude.
Get out of here! He sounded like a girl to me.
Unbelievable.
It was a dude, right? AUDIENCE: Yeah.
How do you know? Cos I felt it in my eyeballs.
I never stop giving up of my dream, because it's something really important for me, and I will continue to achieve different steps and improve myself, as well.
There's a large part of me that is sad I didn't pick him, but that guy can sing! Who are you waving at? We don't know.
I just wave when I see people waving.
Oh, OK.
Imagine we did something else instead of doing that.
Imagine we went like Why this, out of all the things to do? You are so weird! My name is Craig Ward, I'm 31, I work in telecoms and I'm from Coatbridge, just outside Glasgow.
I've been married for just over two years now.
My wife's name is Ali.
Just make sure your legs don't shake like they did on the wedding day.
No, I'm only joking.
We met when we were working in the same call centre.
She was one of the bosses and I used to pretend I was stuck so I could walk up her desk, ask for help and chat her up.
Ali and I have a beautiful son - Isaac is ten months old, cute as a button, he's a wee character, a good soul.
When Craig sings, Isaac's eyes light up and he screams along with Craig.
He kinds of screams at the top of his voice.
Music's always been a passion for me, but I haven't played a gig in three years.
Being a husband and a father and just growing up a bit, singing's taken a backseat.
He did loads of gigs before, he was in a band.
It's just in him, he just loves to sing.
Looking after my family, that always comes first.
I just want that one last crack at doing it big and proper.
It would mean something to me to be a signed artist, to be able to actually put that on my CV, you know, job title - professional musician.
# She can kill with her smile # And she can wound with her eyes # She can ruin your faith with her casual lies # She only reveals what she wants you to see # Yeah, she hides like a child # But she's always a woman to me # And oh, she takes care of herself # She can wait if she wants # She's ahead of her time # And oh, she never gives up # She never gives in # She just changes her mind # She's frequently kind and she's suddenly cruel # She can do what she pleases, she's nobody's fool # And she can't be convicted, she's earned her degree # But the most she will do is throw shadows at you # But she's always a woman to me # Mm-mm-mm-mm-mm # Mm-mm-mm-mm # Mm-hm-mm-mm # She's always a woman To me Whoo! Yes, yes! How are you doing? I'm doing good.
It's nice to see you guys.
That's a good thing.
What's your name and where are you from? My name's Craig Ward, I'm from Glasgow - just outside Glasgow.
What's your story? I'm 31, I've been singing my whole life, but I've just had a sort of three-year break actually to focus on becoming a husband and becoming a dad ten months ago.
So I've got a tiny wee baby - a crazy boy.
Congratulations.
Small and loud.
I've got to say, well done.
I turned, cos I like the quality of your voice - it's really different and a really nice range.
You could really sort of feel some journey in there with you.
I could just sort of sense a road you've been on and that's what I listen for in a singer - someone that connects with me.
Music takes us away - you have a voice that can takes us away.
I think you did a great job.
Well done.
Thank you very much.
I really appreciate that.
Thanks.
I may not have hit my button and turned around, but I was screaming at them, like - She was mad at us.
.
.
"You've gotta turn around!" I didn't, because I don't think there's nothing I can give you.
I'm so glad they turned around, so congratulations with the options you have.
Thank you.
Hi.
The thing that I liked about it is that I heard the Scottish accent.
I liked that.
A lot of singers try to sound American.
I don't know why, but they do.
And you don't.
Your Scottishness, your Celtic thing, it came through.
There's an honesty that's coming from you that you can't learn, that's just you naturally, and that's what hit me.
So I think it would be great if you came with me, because I believe in you.
If you believe in me as much as I believe in you, then we won't have any problems.
I was the first one to turn, by the way.
Because I knew that there's something special in your voice that needed to be on this show.
You have three folks to choose from.
You could go traditional, you could go avant garde, you could go, like, classical, you know.
One of the choices is the correct choice, but that is up to you to decide who that is.
This is hard.
Do you have an idea of who you wanted to be your coach before you came to the show? Kind of.
Kind of.
Erm And it was Tom.
Yeah! Tom, thank you very much.
My pleasure.
I appreciate the compliments.
I meant that - you sound authentic.
You've got a real authentic sound to you.
Congratulations.
That's brilliant.
Obviously just absolutely over the moon that it's happened for me.
Go and enjoy yourselves.
For people like them to turn and give me an opportunity is the best thing that could have happened.
He deserved to be here.
He has a beautiful voice.
I'm so glad you guys turned.
I've got four.
Gavin? Four.
So I'm up to five, Tom.
I've got two.
Huh? Fussy.
Oh, no, I'm not being I thought I heard something else! No, I'm not being Oh, my God! I've got a good idea - maybe you should download The Voice app.
Here's a game you should play - play the I Want You coach game.
Watch the latest performances from the show and become The Voice super fan.
Unwrap this app now! What are you looking for, Tom? I'm looking for somebody with a big voice.
I don't wanna tell you guys what I'm looking for.
You're sneaky, that's why.
You're sneaky, you never know.
You know what I'm saying, I just wanna keep I wanna be mysterious.
Yeah.
We never know what you're looking for or when you're gonna turn.
I don't want you to know what my strategy is, then you're gonna know, so I'd rather, like, you not know.
OK.
I'm picky.
You are picky! VERY picky! #YouBetterBringIt.
I'm Gino Eccles, I'm 54 and I'm from Lancashire.
To Dad.
Toast to me winning! I've got five lovely daughters, my wife Caroline, even Roxy, my little pride and joy of a dog is female, as well.
It's a tough one.
I like to watch golf and football, but I'm forever watching the Kardashians or Coronation Street.
I practice my singing in what I call my man-cave.
It's the only place I can get away from everything.
I enjoy singing for fun.
I'm not a professional, but 33 years ago I did have an opportunity of a very big break.
I was in a funky soul band.
We sat down with Rod Stewart's manager and we were offered a contract, but at that time, my first daughter was born, and for me to be away from my family just didn't sit right.
My dad is auditioning for The Voice, which is pretty crazy.
Seeing him singing all the time, I thought, "I wanna do that.
I wanna be just like him.
" Hayley, my daughter, is also auditioning for The Voice today, chomping at my heels.
She's such a lovely, lovely person.
At the moment, I work as a cleaner.
It's not the most glamorous job.
Not everybody wants to scrub toilets and clean up after other people, but I don't mind it.
Obviously, it's not what I wanna do for the rest of my life.
As a singer, you always dream about 'what if', what could happen.
Good luck.
I think The Voice will elevate Hayley and I'm excited to see that, but I'm excited for me to do it, as well.
Don't forget about Dad.
Here we go.
# You are so beautiful # So beautiful # To me # You are so beautiful # Mm-hm-hm # To me # Can't you see? # You're everything that I hope for Come on! # You're everything that I need # Mm-mm-mm # You are so beautiful-ul-ul-ul # To me # Can't you see? # You're everything that I hope for Whoo! Come on! # You're everything that I need # You are so beautiful-ul-ul-ul To me Press your button! I told myself I wouldn't cry.
That's a tall order that song.
It is.
Oh, 100% wanted a turn.
I've been working on that song for so long, so I'm bound to be a bit disappointed.
Come here.
You were amazing.
Nervous for my daughter, and I'm so excited to watch her.
This is the performance of her life.
I just don't wanna get all But I think I'm gonna go out there now and do it even more now I've seen him doing it.
# Angels watching over me # With smiles upon their face # Cos I have made it through this far # In an unforgiving place # Feels sometimes this hill's too steep # For a girl like me to climb # But I must knock those walls right down # I do it in my own time Come on! # I don't care # I'm halfway there # On a road that leads me # God, to who knows where # I'll tell you what # What I have found # That I'm no fool # I'm just upside-down # I ain't got no cares # I ain't got no rules She's got a good voice! # I think I li-i-i-i-ike # Living upside-down # You've gotta slow it down # And then you pick it up She's got a good voice.
# Come on and try a little topsy-turvy, back-to-front # The right way round # And I'll tell you what # What I have found # That I'm no fool # I'm just upside-down # I ain't got no cares # I ain't got no rules # I think I li-i-i-i-ike Living upside-down Yes! Yes! Wow! Beautiful voice! I felt like that was me on the stage.
I was like, "Please, somebody turn around.
Please!" I was thinking that, too.
Aw! Who's this? My dad.
That's your dad? Yeah.
He actually sang You Are So Beautiful before to you.
That is so sweet! Oh.
So, how long have you been singing? I think my dad started me off when I was about five, six.
Joe Jackson style? Mm-hm! You know! What style of music do you like to sing? Mainly jazz.
Oh, great! I'm so happy I was the only one, I don't have to pitch against anyone, because I think you have a spectacular voice, really beyond.
Thank you.
You really do.
I couldn't find anything wrong with it Flawless.
.
.
I just didn't feel it.
It wasn't hitting me.
I felt it! Well, I know, you turned around.
But you were right on it.
You sang all the notes right, your tone is great, so don't think that I didn't like it, because I did like it.
Thank you.
You got the hardest guy here to turn around.
I know! Oh, yeah, so I'm really particular and picky, but I picky you - let's go do magical stuff.
Let's do it! Thank you so much.
That's your sisters over there? Let's go, let's go, let's go.
The tone of her voice was there, she was right on it.
I bet when she gets hold of a ballad, something where she can shine Those are your sisters? That's your mom? My mum, sisters.
This is my dad.
When nobody turned for my dad, it flipped into more motivation, I was like, "Right, if you ain't turning for him, you're gonna turn for me!" He didn't turn for you, though! I wanted Tom.
I've forgot about me now.
I'm just absolutely so proud of this young girl.
AUDIENCE: Whoo! Huh? What did you say? Oh, I'm fresh? Oh, you fresh! What's up, guys? What are you doing now? Just working out my glutes.
And my These.
I like the What are these called? Triceps.
My triceps and my glute-ceps.
You better perk up! OK, stand-by, the next singer is ready.
So, how are you feeling? I'm nervous.
I'm just like, "I just want someone to turn around.
" Just anyone! "Just please, please turn around.
" I'm Jazmin Sawyers, I'm 22 and I'm a professional long jumper.
I've doing it for about ten years.
I competed at the last Olympics in Rio.
As a kid, I'd watch the Olympics and go, "That's what I wanna do.
" I finished 8th.
I was annoyed, cos I wanted more, but 8th in the Olympics was a good result, so for now I'll take it.
Athletics is my first love, it's my main passion, it's what I've been working for for years, but it's not the only thing in my life.
Ever since I was a kid, I've also had a great love for music.
It's hard to have two things you love, because how do you give one the attention it deserves? But my motivation to do well in music has shot up.
Olympic final or this - what is worse? I think this is worse, because I know what I'm doing a lot more on the track.
Yeah, but you know what you're doing.
I do, but - You know the words! I better know the words! Being on the show is a big deal.
When I walk out onto the track, I'm in control, I get to decide everything that happens, but here today I don't and that's quite scary.
All I can do is go out there and give it everything and hope for the best.
# I'm sorry if I seem uninterested # Or I'm not listening # Or I'm indifferent # But truly, I ain't got no business here # But since my friends are here, I just came to kick it # But really I would rather be at home all by myself # Not in this room with people who don't even care about my wellbeing # I don't dance, don't ask # I don't need a boyfriend # So you can go back # Please enjoy your party # I'll be # Somewhere in the corner waiting for this to be over with # This boy who's hovering # I can hardly hear # Over this music I don't listen to # And I don't wanna get with you # So tell my friends I'll be over here # Whoa-oh-oh, here # Whoa-oh-oh, here # Whoa-oh-oh # I ask myself, "What am I doing?" # Show a little tenderness # No matter if you cry # Give me a reason # To love you # Ye-e-e-ah # Give me a reason to be Come on, come on, come on! # A woman # I just wanna be A woman Wow! First of all, you must be really something special if you got this one to turn his chair around.
Oh, my God! What's your name? I'm Jazmin.
And what do you do for a living? I'm an Olympic long jumper.
Wow.
You went to the Olympics?! Yes! Wow, check you out! That's dope! It is, I must say.
And how long have you been singing? I used to do musical theatre as a kid, but I stopped when I was 14 and then two-and-a-half years ago I picked up the music again.
Which one have you been doing longer? Long jump by a mile.
Wow.
You can long jump a mile?! Just short.
How did you do in the Olympics? I came 8th.
Thank you.
It wasn't what I wanted.
At the time, I was really angry, cos seven whole people beat me.
I'm 22, so hopefully there's gold medals in the future.
Thank you! Thank you so much! No, thank you.
Oh, I'm gonna cry again.
She just keeps achieving! You got that one, Will.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You call me Golden Ears, but you got the ears there.
I think there could be some magic in her voice.
I think she's a great addition.
Well done.
Thank you so much.
Anyone who gets to the Olympics is a hard worker, she's gonna listen, she has desire, passion, commitment.
It shows some mad determination.
You lucked out.
It's gonna be a good partnership.
I can't wait to get started.
I wanna do it now! Will, you're a very sneaky button pusher.
He waits till we turn our head and then he hits it, knowing you've got a second left, so we can't do nothing, so you don't have to battle us.
I've figured you out - you're sneaky! Jazmin, she be jumping! She's gonna take this competition to the next level.
Sometimes you've gotta leap, uh, Olympic-type stuff! Let's hear it here on the floor - it's our coaches! They're just gonna be a couple of minutes.
That's fine.
Do you guys get nervous still? Yeah, of course.
I've gotten nervous, but there's a difference between adrenalin and nerves, right? You take those nerves and it turns into something positive.
You've gotta try to.
My name's Sarah Morgan, I'm 16 years old an I'm from Scotland.
I work in a kebab shop in Bonnybridge, which is in Falkirk.
I work with my best friend, which is quite cool.
It's really fun, actually.
I have three brothers and two sisters.
We're all such a close family - an unbreakable bond.
You'll be fine.
You'll be fine.
My gran, she's my best friend.
She's always there for me when I need her and I don't know what I would do without her.
She's lovely to be around.
She's funny, she's full of beans.
Sarah, she's always singing.
I'm trying not to think about the coaches, because if I do, it'll make me really nervous.
And it's crazy to think they could turn at any moment and that could change your life forever.
I'm nervous.
I'm fine.
For these guys, it's not just nerves, it's emotion, too, and it can cause their performance to change.
I can't sing through tears! We're nervous for her, we're proud of her.
I'd love it if a coach turned for her, just to see her face light up.
If it went well, I'd probably be the happiest person on this planet.
# You think you're missed? # Well, let me tell you this # The love I felt for you # Has flown away # And now you see # What you've done to me # So all I can ask is why, why-y-y? # You made us feel like one # I should have known that you were wro-o-ong # Oh, yeah, you did it on your own # Now you've gotta go # Oh, no # I won't let you get me down # You tried to hurt my feelings # You stopped me dreaming # But here I've drawn the li-i-ine # I wish you luck in life and goo-oo-oodbye # Ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh Ye-e-e-eah Yeah! Oh, thank you so much! What's your name, love? Sarah Morgan.
Pardon? Sarah Morgan.
Where do you come from? Scotland.
From Scotland? Yeah.
What do you do for a living? I work at a kebab shop.
Well, you sound lovely.
You really do.
You sound like you have control over the song.
Oh, my God.
And your tone is really lovely.
Thank you so much.
Did you know I'm half Scottish? No.
I'm a McGregor.
I'm Gavin McGregor.
I just wanna throw that in there for you.
Cos I understood when you said, "Sarah Morgan.
" I got it.
You're a songbird.
Thank you.
You're a songbird.
I turned around because you just took me away and you're everything I've been waiting for to add to my team.
We were discussing the whole thing about nerves and we've seen so many singers come out here and the nerves, even though they can sing well, have gotten the better of a lot of people, so that just means to me you have potential, you know, forever.
Thank you so much.
Fantastic.
That's amazing.
So, to give you some perspective, the fact that you have two coaches that turned for you - one a rock star and one a legend - means that you are right up here where the bar is and depending on who you go with Thank you.
Oh, my God.
.
.
they could take you over the bar.
Thank you so much.
How old are you? I'm only 16.
Whoa! You're only 16? Yeah.
That's amazing.
It's kind of annoying to be that young and that good, right? Yes! So, tell me a little bit about your life.
Like, how come you can channel that kind of emotion? Well, I I grew up in foster care, so I was taken away from my mum and dad and I was split up from my other siblings.
At what age? Nine.
On my ninth birthday.
How long did you stay in foster care? Well, I was different - I moved every three years, cos I didn't settle into foster care, cos it wasn't really Like, I was not I didn't like being taken from home, so it was quite hard for me.
But now I live with my gran and granddad.
I used to get them on the weekends and then they came to live with us permanently in June.
It's really good to have her.
Sarah's had it really tough.
It's important for me to make sure she's safe and she's happy and she's well looked after, and she seems to be that way at the moment.
I find that I'm happier when she's about.
She's grown up so strong and she knows her own mind, she knows exactly what she wants and The Voice and her singing is what Sarah wants.
It makes me happy that she's getting on with her life and that the singing's helping her do that.
JENNIFER: Music is your escape, huh? I can totally relate to that, hearing your story.
When you've been through more, things like this is nothing.
When I go through things, I say, "I've been though more than this.
" Music is my escape, as well, so I definitely connected to that.
I understand you now.
Thank you.
Who are you gonna choose? Oh, no! I don't wanna choose! I just think that the world is your oyster with that voice and the fact you're 16 and so brave to come out and do that, because it is super intimidating to be where you are, but you handled it like a pro, so I would love to have you on my team - I have no-one like you and I was waiting for someone like you and I think you're incredible.
Thank you so much.
You just make a lovely sound and I would like to have you on my team so we could explore all kinds of songs and see what kind of songs you really like to sing.
I would like to help you with that.
Thank you so much.
I would like to be on Oh, no! I would like You are both incredible.
Like OK.
OK, I'm gonna go for Gavin.
JENNIFER: I'll be in the shadows! Thank you.
Sorry, Tom.
Thank you so much.
Congratulations.
Thank you.
I'll be in the shadows.
Congratulations.
Your voice is beautiful.
Thank you.
Oh! She said, "Sorry," to me that she didn't come with me.
It was so sweet! I'm so glad that's over.
I can't believe that just happened! It did! And wow! I mean, you are phenomenal.
Thank you so much.
Can I have a huge round of applause and support for our amazing coaches! Congratulations.
Thank you.
Oh, my God! Well done.
I'm a firm believer, it's the struggles in life, especially as an artist, that define you, and I'm so thrilled she's on my team.
I loved her.
