Two earn the chance to choose their own team.
Jay, who's your first pick? Chris Tilley.
Chris Reed, go ahead and make your first pick.
I'd like people that are experienced with multiple weapons.
Take a good look at your teammates.
You will have to rely on each other if you hope to make it out of this thing without being eliminated.
John Guida misses.
The red team struggles in the first team challenge Come on, Johnny! Brian also fighting an injury.
Leaving two with torn hamstrings.
Chris Tilley hits the post! But the blue team fares even worse.
My whole team not performing is a little tough.
In the elimination challenge, a world-class pistol champ proves his skill Congratulations, Chris.
You're the winner.
Travis, you've officially fired your last shot.
Sending the first marksman home.

" sync and correct by dr.
jackson Incoming! Whoo! As I came into the house, I felt great.
I wanted to be there bad.
I made it happen, and I was as happy as I could be.
Dude, check it out.
There's trav.
Hang him on the wall.
You got to do the honors, bro.
There you go.
You nailed it! It was a good thing.
It was a cathartic moment because now it really begins.
There's only 15 people left, and we will continue to lose a person every time.
So we got to get used to it.
Congratulations, bro.
Thank you.
So, we're starting fresh again.
We had my first pick here.
And we had my last pick not here.
So this is the top.
This is the top of our team.
No one is stepping up.
As far as things go right now, it looks like I'm the team leader until anything changes.
Now, the one thing we do have that the red team does not have now is experience going to elimination.
Anybody have anything to say about what happened today? Jay needs to realize that he got to select the team because of the first little challenge that we had.
He's not the team Captain.
We don't have a Captain at this point.
- Good morning, everyone.
- Good morning.
- John Guida.
- Yes, sir.
Give me an injury update.
Feeling any better than it was the day of the challenge? A lot better than the other day, no doubt.
So you're healing.
Oh, yeah.
All right.
Well, there's no doubt.
I'm injured right now.
I'm probably about maybe 65%.
After Travis' elimination, we are down to 15 of you still in the hunt for the $100,000 prize and title of "Top Shot.
" We are heading back to the prohibition era.
You'll be using a firearm from this era that was very popular with the FBI in fighting organized crime The .
38 caliber official police.
This double-action revolver features a 6-round cylinder.
It's a no-frills side arm that was designed for hard action.
In its heyday, the official police was in the holster of every g-man raiding a speakeasy or chasing John dillinger.
This gun was used in some highly dynamic situations.
So for today, unfortunately for you, Guida, we're gonna put you guys on the move.
We're gonna see how you shoot under stress.
To help you with this skill, we've brought in Steve Gilcrest.
He is a SWAT firearms instructor and former army ranger.
Steve is very well versed with the official police.
This season, we're gonna do something we haven't done before An expert pick.
After each of your practice sessions, he is going to name which one of you performed the best.
Red team, you guys are up first.
Blue team, you can head back to the house.
You'll practice later.
Good luck to everyone.
I'll see you at the team challenge.
We found out it was a prohibition .
38 revolver, old police model.
As a matter of fact, if I'm not mistaken, I think that was the first handgun I actually kept in my nightstand.
Good.
The most important teaching aspects today is gonna be the ability to do fine motor skills under stress, under time, be able to load it properly, take that pause, focus on that sight, and press that trigger nice and smooth and hit a small target.
- Nice.
- Good shot.
You got to get from station to station, then you got to take this weapon that you had five minutes in your hand with, realize that you got to put the bullet in at 9:00, revolve, you know all this craziness, and try to cut that down to an expedient fashion in your head so you can get it done quick.
Good shot.
I still feel a little sore, a little bruised behind the legs.
I'm always concerned about running with two pulled hamstrings.
I mean, I don't want to hurt our red team.
Attaboy.
Yeah.
I mean, watching everybody shoot, we didn't have anybody that shot really bad.
Nice shot.
Yes, sir.
And I shot exceptionally well, I thought, so I feel pretty confident about our team's abilities going in.
All right, red team.
Nice job today doing a practice round.
But the person I saw that performed the best, put it all together Not only accuracy, but controlling their breathing to get the most accurate shots that they could was Brian.
- Yeah! - Good job, gunny.
Way to go, gunny.
You know, being called out as the best gun of the day with a handgun I'm really not too surprised.
And it's a relief because there's a lot of fellas out there that would have given me a hard time if I weren't called out as the best guy of the day.
Thank you.
Welcome, blue team.
Let's gather 'round and get started.
The .
38 revolver is a weapon that we've used in the military and in law enforcement.
I've used it for years.
Some of the other team members have used it for years Jermaine.
So the first thing I thought was, "this is gonna be our event.
" I started shooting firearms around the age of 17 or 18 when I joined the military.
So they introduced me to a lot of weapons, and I became pretty proficient with them.
Nice.
Okay, let's go.
I'm definitely relating to Jermaine and his ability to shoot.
I'm seeing the same characteristics in which I do in my shooting, definitely from a law-enforcement background.
The ability to bring the gun up on line, take that pause, get that most accurate shot is the name of the game in law enforcement.
Missing is not an option.
Okay.
Off of the paper.
No way.
Which hole are you aiming at? The far target.
Center mast.
Okay.
Go for another hole.
Well, it was kind of the Jay Lim show.
Jay Lim was the coach that day.
Go left.
All your shots are on the right side of the target.
Yeah, yeah.
So you got to go way left.
High left.
The same spot, wherever you aimed last time.
Jay has a habit of wanting to tell everyone the best way to do everything.
I don't care if it's how to cook hamburgers or how to shoot a gun Jay Lim knows the best way to do it, and he's gonna step in and show you, either you want him to or not.
Did it bother you? Okay.
No.
Pssh.
Man, that is way low.
I'm not accustomed to shooting under duress.
I'm not military or law enforcement.
So most of my shooting is done under a controlled environment.
Now, your hand is gonna get in the way and block that cylinder, so I would just grab it and press it.
There you go.
Jay was very impressive in that he was helping each of his team members.
When it came time for him to shoot, he didn't really listen to me too much.
He struggled with the load and the unload.
And as I continued to try to help him, he continued to make the same mistakes.
Again, during that unload, you see how your hand's kind of blocking that? You're blocking the mechanism so it can't unload the gun.
And watching Jay, he seems to be a know-it-all when it comes to the revolver.
Next position.
Watch that muzzle.
He's not slowing down.
He's not listening to the steps.
He's continuing to make mistakes.
It's gonna cost him time, and it could cost the team the challenge.
All right, blue, great job.
Nice work.
But the person I thought was able to put all of the elements together Jermaine, fellow ranger definitely put it all together.
Nice, accurate shots.
Excellent job.
That's a stinkbug.
When the blue team came back today from their practice session, they came out there where we were, asking, you know, "who was y'all's best shooter today? Ours was Jermaine.
" Huh? No.
They get the opportunity to sit out one of our competitors tomorrow.
They're gonna try to sit out the strongest one at this point, which is only logical.
And, you know, we're just gonna play our cards close to our vest and tell them, "man, we all shot great.
" This guy didn't stop at the end of your practice session and Tell you who the best shooter was? No.
No way.
Yeah, okay.
When the blue team came back, Jermaine called me into the kitchen and said, "hey, you know, our best shooter was me.
Who was y'all's best shooter.
" At that time, we were in the company of not everybody there that I felt like I could trust.
They don't want to tell us.
He just decided they're not gonna tell us.
And that's fine.
I appreciate your strategy.
You're not gonna tell us who he thought your best shooter was.
They're gonna tell us tomorrow, and then we'll just do it then.
What are you gonna do? We all knew that the red team was one man up on the blue team.
We were assuming and hoping that the blue team was gonna do the honorable thing and sit one of our injured people down.
We have some information that would have been nice, you know, for you to have.
But since you're not gonna tell us, we're not gonna tell you.
Tell you what? I don't know.
There's at least one person that would like to take advantage of anything they could, grab for the jugular vein Jay Lim.
And if he has the opportunity to throw one of those guys in there, that's what he's gonna do.
The things that we talked about Who we would sit out, that kind of thing.
He's trying to play the game, and I don't want that.
So, who was your best shooter? You know, we figured that.
He was driving nails.
We have guys here from the United States air force, United States army, United States marine corps, and the United States Navy.
At one time or another, we've all trusted our lives in their hands.
I trust them guys like you would not believe.
We will drive the train on who we sit out.
He thinks he's the team Captain.
He's not the Team Captain.
In my normal life, I'm 3rd in command of the sheriff's office.
I have a lot of authority.
I was a marine corps officer.
I'm not used to being in the backseat unless I'm following someone who is clearly, by authority, you know, my superior.
"You're not in charge of this team.
"You need to quit giving us advice.
Get out of my [Bleep.]
Zone.
" You know? So we're gonna have that conversation with him.
And he can get his feelings hurt, or he can back the [Bleep.]
Up.
As we were walking up there, we could see the challenge.
And I'm thinking, "all right, this is gonna be good.
" We see these bottles out there, and it's to be expected.
We knew that we'd be shooting something to that effect.
But then on this side, we see this row of barricades.
And we're really not sure what it's for.
- Good morning, everyone.
- Good morning.
Finally, a little sunshine, huh? Feeling better this morning? Guida, how you doing? Well, sitting here, not too bad.
Moving around It's a little tough.
Better? Eh, pretty much the same.
Okay.
Welcome to the team challenge.
Here's how it's gonna work.
.
Out on the range, there are seven shooting stations.
Beyond each station, there are three targets set up at 30, 40, and 50 feet.
The first shooter will run to the first station where there is a .
38 and three rounds of ammo.
You'll load up, take aim at the three targets.
Each target hit is worth one point.
Once you've fired your three shots, the next shooter will start at that station and run to the next station until all seven shooters have hit.
You hit all your targets You earn your team 21 points.
You'll also notice, behind the shooting stations, there are walls.
And in between the stations, there are boxes, crates, and barrels set up.
Those are there for you to take cover behind.
Why would you need to take cover? Because for the first time on "Top Shot," we're letting contestants shoot at each other.
there is a separate firing line.
While you're running through the course, the opposing team will be shooting at you With a paintball gun.
Under stress.
Watch out.
There you go.
That's fricking awesome, dude.
If you're hit with a paintball, keep going.
Hell, yeah.
But you will have a point deducted.
Your team will lose a point.
All right.
Before we begin, there's a decision that needs to be made.
Red team, since you won the first competition, you have one extra member, so somebody's got to sit this one out.
And that person will be determined by the blue team.
We just wanted to see who they're gonna sit out, if they're gonna sit out gunny 'cause he was the best shot or they're gonna sit out Johnny 'cause he was hurt the worst.
Blue team, you guys need a minute? No.
No.
No.
No.
You already know? We already know.
Ashley, who's sitting out? Coming up on "Top Shot" I took off as fast as I could, trying to maintain a low profile.
As I run out, I was worried that I was hit.
Slow-stage squeeze.
There's a decision that needs to be made.
Blue team, you guys need a minute? No.
No.
No.
No.
You already know? We already know.
Ashley, who's sitting out? Guido.
John Guido.
You're gonna sit the injured red team member out.
Honorable thing to do.
To either the blue team or the red team, it's not about gaming.
It's about beating the best people you have on that team, you know? And you got to love that.
Marksmen, ready! Set! You know, I'm starting this thing off I at least want to start my team off with an advantage and, hopefully, three well-placed shots.
Chris Reed dives and rolls into his shooting station.
All right, shoot a little higher.
Chris, loaded up.
Hits his first target! Chris hits his second target! Chris hits all three targets! Red team off to a very good start! I took off as fast as I could, trying to maintain a low profile, you know, so I could take as much cover as possible.
Three rounds.
Three targets.
Joe hits his first target! Joe his his second target! Misses his third.
Now Eric's on the course for the red team.
Take the shot, brother.
Now breathe.
Eric hits the first target! And the second target! Go! Go! Go! Red team moving through.
Nice job, brother! Eric tags George.
Now he's on the course for the red team.
Misses the first target.
I squeeze the first shot off.
Big fail boat.
I'm the skipper of the fail boat looking up at the same target staring at me, talking crap.
George misses the second target.
George hits the last target! Jamie's up next for the red team.
Getting the weapon loaded.
Jamie misses the first target! Jamie misses the second target! I'm a little flustered.
Cock that pistol back for my third shot Fire, and I hit about an inch below the target.
I was really bummed out.
Go! Go! Take your time.
Take your time.
Take your time.
Athena taking a long time to get the weapon loaded.
Athena misses on her first shot.
Athena misses her second shot.
Athena doesn't hit any of her targets.
Brian's in on the last station.
Jamie and Athena Both goose eggs, which was a bit of a shock 'cause, yesterday, they shot well in training.
Brian hits on his first shot! Brian hits the second shot! Brian, three for three! I did what I was supposed to do.
Hey, I'm a handgun guy.
I took out my three targets.
I may not be the fastest guy, but I'm gonna hit what I'm shooting at when I get there.
Marksmen, ready! Set! Jermaine, first on the course for the blue team.
Jermaine, loading up the .
38.
First shot is a hit.
Jermaine connects on his second shot.
Ahh.
Jermaine misses his third shot.
Daryl next up for the blue team.
Red team handing off the paint gun.
Come on, cap! Daryl very familiar with his weapon.
Daryl hits with his first shot! Daryl explodes the second target! I didn't want to miss my third one.
Slow, steady, and squeeze.
Boom.
Big explosion.
Fantastic.
Daryl, three for three! As I run out, the first paintball, it hits a crate right in front of me and splatters all over my leg.
And I was worried when that happened that I was hit.
Blue team, moving on! Paint balls landing everywhere! Chris Tilley up for the blue team.
All of them, baby! All of them! Chris hits his first shot! Chris misses the second target! Chris misses the third target! One for three! Jay's on the course.
Slow it down, Jay! Slow it down! Red team handing off the paintball gun.
Come on, Jay! Jay takes aim.
That's a miss on the first shot! Settle.
Settle.
Settle.
Take your time.
Take your time.
Jay hits the second shot.
Rest.
There you go.
Rest.
Jay hits the third target.
Ashley's up next for the blue team.
Ashley wasting no time getting to his shooting station.
Red team handing off the paintball gun.
The key here is to calm yourself.
Take a second to breath.
Thank you.
Blue team Got to pick it up here.
Ashley hits his first target! Ashley misses the second target.
Blue team has to pull it together here.
Ashley misses the third target.
One for three.
You're good.
Athena just waiting on Maggie to cross.
Come on, Johnny, go! I didn't perform well in the first challenge.
I knew I can't do that again.
I mean, it would just be devastating Devastating for my team and devastating for me.
Maggie's loaded up on the course.
Maggie connects with the first shot.
Maggie drills the second target! Plenty of time, Maggie.
Maggie three for three on the course! It's like fireworks in the background.
It's a great thing, and it's just a great feeling, like I know I went three for three blue team now is at the last station! Brian zins just nailing.
Tell him to slow down.
Tell him to slow down.
Take your time, Kyle! Take your time! I know that the only thing I have to do is to pull the trigger, control my breathing, and I fire the first shot.
Kyle misses the first target.
Okay, no, slow down.
Slow down.
There you go.
Kyle misses the second target.
I don't know how many bottles we hit downrange, but it could all be, you know, on my shoulders at this point.
Kyle 0 for 3.
And I shoot just barely low left.
And it just broke my heart.
You know, I knew that I didn't hit anything yet again.
Okay, nice challenge, guys, both teams.
Red team, you guys hit 12 targets.
Blue team, you hit Ohh.
So it was so close, it was so tight.
I mean, we both hit 12 targets Paint balls was the deciding factor of who was gonna be the clear winner.
Red team, you guys have two paintball deductions, which gives you a total of 10 points.
Blue team, you outran every paintball.
No deductions.
You guys win.
Whoo! Good job.
Good job.
Good job.
Yeah.
Good job.
Blue team, you head back to the house.
You're safe.
Just experiencing the blue team's first win, I mean, it's great.
We had such a horrible first couple of days.
I mean, disastrous performance on the first round.
You know, we all just knew that we really needed this win.
We needed to go out there and show what we could do and to prove that our team was strong, that our team is strong going forward.
We needed that win.
All right, red team, you now have to decide which two of you will compete in the elimination challenge.
I will see you at the nomination range in a few hours where you will give me your decision.
Head back to the house.
At the end of the challenge, I thought we had shot a good score.
But I was really bummed out that, for the second time now, I haven't contributed to that score.
I know I'm a better shooter than this.
And so far, I haven't proven it.
Coming up on "Top Shot" I'm going for my vote based solely off performance.
John Guido was brought up to be nominated.
Of course, he's injured.
In my opinion, it's kind of like thinning out the herd.
We come back to the house, and we say, you know, "okay, guys.
"Let's kind of man up here and decide who's gonna go up for elimination.
" I'm just saying we've had two complete goose eggs out of y'all two, everybody else has at least hit one.
I'm going for my vote based solely off performance.
Athena and a Jamie both didn't put anything up through anything.
Any competition or even the beginning of the show when we shot the sharps rifle.
They haven't hit one target, this show, yet.
Are you gonna be well? John Guido was also brought up to be nominated, you know? Of course, he's injured, and he doesn't know if he's gonna be able to recover in time to be an asset to the team.
With this next day or two, I'm gonna do what I can, to, you know To get the legs better so in case I do have to run.
I'm here to do a job, and I'm all about the team.
I want to do the best I can for the red team.
Red team, welcome to the nomination range for the first time.
All right, let's get to it.
Out on the range are each of your names with a target just above it.
When I call you up, you'll shoot the target of the person you want to nominate.
You cannot nominate yourself.
Chris, you'll be the first to vote.
In my opinion, John Guida is more valuable at this point to our team than Jamie, strictly because he has more than one skill set.
Athena missed the targets up to this point.
In my opinion, it's kind of like thinning out the herd.
Nothing personal, just going on performance, Jamie I'm voting for that guy.
Brian Zins, time to vote.
Joe, you're up.
Three votes Jamie, and two votes Athena.
George.
I wanted to nominate Athena just because she's a pistol shooter.
And both team challenges, she hasn't hit nothing with a pistol.
Jamie and Athena, you both have three votes, so you will be in the elimination challenge.
There's really no reason to come up here and vote.
Obviously, you'll have an opportunity to squeeze the trigger tomorrow.
Head back to the house and try to get some rest.
I'll see you at practice.
If it is me that goes home, you know, it's gonna suck to be me, a lot.
You know, nobody wanted to be the first guy, but I don't want to be the second guy, either.
Anything besides an antique weapon or sharps 45.
7.
Ay-yi-yi-yi-yi.
Neither of us wants to go home.
Right.
That.
I want to come back.
I just have to do what I can.
I'm a little mad at myself for not performing how I'm supposed to shoot.
It sucks being nominated to be eliminated.
I know, I'm just hoping for the best.
And if it's a handgun, I think everything else will fall into place.
Athena's a pistol shooter The past two competitions have been pistols, so that ship has sailed.
As far as Jamie, I don't think that he's that good of a shooter, personally.
I haven't seen it.
Us military guys, we don't have national titles, this, that, and the other thing.
We shoot to survive, so I don't think, you know, Jamie's background as a rescue swimmer I don't think he deals with firearms on the regular like me and Ashley did or some of the marines do.
So, I mean, he's got a good attitude, being confident in his skills.
But talking to him, I don't know what his skill are.
Coming up on "Top Shot" The Thompson submachine gun.
Is there a cooler gun? The answer's no.
Anything fully automatic, man, it's gonna be fun.
Athena and Jamie, welcome to practice for the elimination challenge.
Today, we will continue with weapons from the prohibition era.
But now we're gonna take a look at what the bad guys were using.
The Thompson submachine gun.
Now we can have fun.
The Thompson has always been one of my favorite guns of all time in history.
Is there a cooler gun? The answer’s no.
Commonly known as "the Tommy gun," this was the gun that made the '20s roar.
The Thompson submachine gun was the brainchild of general John t.
Thompson, who dreamed of inventing a hand held machine gun that could help the allies put an end to the first world war.
But it wasn't world war I that made the Tommy gun famous.
It was prohibition.
Bootleggers and gangsters started using the Thompson to protect their illegal enterprises.
And the Tommy gun became synonymous with criminal activity.
To show you the most accurate way to shoot the Tommy gun, we've invited machine gun expert Michael friend.
You'll learn how to precisely shoot a gun that wasn't necessarily made for precision.
There is a 4-inch star This morning, you'll use the Tommy gun to obliterate that star.
Athena, you'll go first.
I'm gonna let you shoot the first bit Okay.
In semi-auto.
When I went to mount that gun, I was like, "okay, there's a small problem there.
" Okay.
The stock's a bit too long.
Oh, my God.
I mean, aside from the fact that the Tommy gun was a bit heavy, especially if you put a 50-round drum in there, just that length was giving me a little bit of a problem.
Now, if you get fatigued, put it on safety and rest a minute.
I've seen some of the biggest guys around shooting the Thompson submachine gun, and I've also seen some of the smallest women.
It's not about size at all.
It's all about technique.
Now the thing's in full auto.
And what you're gonna do is you're gonna put it on that target, and you're gonna give it a full pull and back off, full pull and back off.
Whoa.
Even though your legs are right, your torso is back.
Again, the tendency It wants to rise on you more.
He taught me, like, stance wise how to, you know, push my body forward to just make sure that the gun was shooting where it's supposed to shoot.
Hang on.
Considering the fatigue, I think I did pretty well with it.
Athena She operated the gun well.
She shot very well.
It's all about technique.
Anything fully automatic, man, it's gonna be fun.
Aim just a little bit lower.
Hang on one second.
Okay, you see your shot pattern? Yep.
Your shots is going like that? You're starting in the middle, and you're climbing off target.
I would Being you're climbing like this, start here at your lower corner.
All right.
Okay? Go ahead.
Anytime you're shooting a full-auto, shoulder-fire weapon, you know, that things gonna climb.
Jamie started shooting, and I noticed he was a little bit heavy on the trigger.
Now you're doing better.
We got him slowed down.
He started putting them in where he needed to go.
It sounded like, "pow! Pow! Pow! Pow! Pow! Pow!" Were you shooting something spectacular? Tommy gun? Tommy gun.
Was it? Was it? Full auto.
You're carrying something really heavy up like this.
And then you're pulling Especially, you know, I have smaller hands.
So I had to, like, kind of curve my hand around.
However long or short my stint on this show may be, as soon as I'm done here, I'm headed back to Afghanistan probably within a week of leaving this show.
We overcome adversity every day in the Navy as a way of life.
So any obstacle that's put in front of me in this competition, I'm gonna overcome it.
I really do not want to go home today.
I will give my all to stay in this competition.
I think it's pretty exciting to be one of the two female competitors here.
We probably have a lot more to prove.
But for the most part, really, that doesn't matter for me.
I just like competing against the best.
We see two buildings with porches out in front of them, Tommy guns sitting on the bench.
Oh, yeah.
This is the bomb.
Welcome, everyone, to our next elimination challenge.
Everyone except for Jamie and Athena can take a seat on the bench.
You six are safe.
For you two, the pressure's on.
Winner stays.
Loser goes home.
The winner of the elimination challenge this season is also gonna get a $2,000 gift card to bass pro shops.
On the range behind me, of the firing line is a board with an 8-inch red line.
That is your target.
Each shooter gets six magazines of ammo.
This is a side-by-side challenge.
The first shooter to break through their board wins and continues in this competition.
The loser is eliminated.
You can take your positions.
We'll go.
I really want to win this challenge.
I'm going to have to give more than 100% and just shoot that gun.
I've gone to war with a weapon very similar to this, a chopped-down, short m4.
It's a 556 round, not a .
45.
I'm very proficient with shorter-fire, full-automatic weapons.
Coming up on "Top Shot" Jamie now on the board! I was stitching it across pretty good.
You got to cut that red line and open the vault door.
Athena back on range! She's just letting loose with hers! Jamie and Athena.
Right now, that bank-vault door is the only thing standing between your continuing in this game or going home.
Let's do this.
Marksmen, ready SetGo! Jamie and Athena loading up the Tommy gun.
Six magazines of ammo.
Athena already loaded and already firing.
I picked up that gun, loaded it, got the first shot off, and I was excited.
Jamie now on the course.
Athena raining down! Jamie much more methodical with his shots.
I just settled in, slow and steady.
I was firing on burst.
I was stitching it across pretty good.
Taking his time.
Three-shot bursts.
Athena loading up her second magazine.
Now Jamie's loading up his second magazine.
Both shooters getting some shots on target, but both have a way's to go.
Jamie's already back on the range! He shot a lot tighter than Athena, and he was bringing it across really, really well.
You got to cut that red line and open the vault door.
Athena back on range! I just really tried to focus on my sight picture.
And maybe 10 rounds into it, I just went crazy.
She's just letting loose with hers! Athena blowing the vault door to pieces! Still hasn't managed to cut that red line! I hear her just go nuts, rocking and rolling with her Tommy gun, just laying it down.
So for a second, I'm thinking, "maybe that's what I need to do.
" Both shooters on their third magazine.
Jamie's back on range.
There it goes! Jamie wins! Colby said, "ready, set, go.
" We both pick up our weapon.
I was pretty excited knowing that I got the first shot off, thinking it would intimidate Jamie.
Athena gets off her first shots before I do.
And so I settled into my groove, firing off three- or four-round bursts.
About halfway through the challenge, Athena starts getting desperate, and she starts forgetting everything she learned in practice.
And she just starts opening it up on the target, and she starts shooting wildly.
And I think that was her own demise.
And, you know, I saw my bank-vault door come door.
Looked over Hers wasn't coming down.
And so I knew I'd won.
Jamie, you can rejoin the red team.
Congratulations.
It was a relief that I'd won the challenge.
Being, you know, the only guy from the Navy, I think I have a lot to live up to in this competition.
The guys from the military, my family back home, they're all rooting for me to stick it out.
Athena, unfortunately, you have fired your last shot.
You've officially been eliminated from "Top Shot.
" Come over here and say goodbye to your teammates.
I'm not used to losing.
Definitely, I'm not very happy with my performance, especially with those two handgun challenges.
But, hey, it was a lot of fun, it was a great experience.
And good luck to the rest of the competitors.
Congrats, Jamie.
Thanks.
Losing Athena means that we've lost a three-time world champion.
As a team, the rest of us are gonna have to step up to make it happen.
John is hurting both legs.
We're gonna have to be able to plan our strategy around our weakness.
Well, fellas, your teams are once again even 7 each.
There are 14 of you still vying for the $100,000 prize.
You can head back to the house.
I'll see you tomorrow morning at practice.
On the next episode of "Top Shot" Jay goes it alone in practice.
Is he doing anything? He shouldn't be.
Jay wanted to sight the rifle in for himself.
It seemed like teamwork was a foreign concept to him.
John struggles with his injury.
At this point, do you feel like you want to compete? The want is not there.
And the team challenge is the toughest one yet.
