1 [modern dance music.]
Male announcer: This is the biggest dance competition in the world.
"World of Dance.
" Last week, the world's best dancers That is what I'm talking about! Announcer: Soared to new heights.
This is how you compete for $1 million.
- Oh! - Come on! Announcer: Tonight, the qualifiers continue to light up the stage.
Shot out of a cannon.
It has been a struggle, but I love dance so much.
I don't have a plan B.
Last year, my mom passed away from cancer.
My mom just loved art, and I'm not gonna let that die of her.
[cries.]
She was the best.
Announcer: It will be bigger We want to do something career-changing, and that's "World of Dance" for us.
Announcer: And better than ever before.
I loved it.
[laughter.]
This is not a competition.
This is the competition.
Announcer: It's time for "World of Dance.
" Something in the way you move Something in the way you do Are you guys pumped? Here are your judges! Something in the way you move Announcer: Derek Hough, NE-YO, and Jennifer Lopez.
"World of Dance" is on.
"World of Dance," "World of Dance," "World of Dance"! Is everybody ready? [cheers and applause.]
["Move" by Saint Motel playing.]
Yeah, man, yeah, man, come here, come here.
- Oh.
- [laughs.]
Okay, that is an entrance, people.
We're a B-boy crew, all the way from the Netherlands, and we are All: The Ruggeds.
Gotta get up, I gotta get up, move Hey! And we stand out from other B-boy crews with our tricks.
I gotta get up, move We just want to do crazy stuff.
Gotta get up, I gotta get up, move Gotta get up We are self-taught.
We learned everything in youth centers, in small gyms, trying stuff.
Everything that you see-- it all comes from kids having fun.
But we're professionals, though.
[laughter.]
We've competed all over the world, and we won 40 international titles.
We've worked with artists like Justin Bieber, Rita Ora, but this is like a big competition now.
We want to do something career-changing, and that's "World of Dance" for us.
We want to make it to the final.
We want to show the US what we got.
Announcer: Next up on stage, it's The Ruggeds.
[dramatic music.]
So let's go, boys! [cheers and applause.]
All right.
Right here ["Right Here, Right Now" by Fatboy Slim playing.]
Oh! Waking up to find your love's not real Waking up to find your love's not real Waking up to find your love's not real Waking up to find Waking up to find your love's not real Waking up to find your love's not real Waking up to find your love's not real Waking up to find your love's not real Right here, right now Right here, right now Right here, right now Right here, right now Right here, right now Right here, right now Oh! Right here, right here Right here [cheers and applause.]
Waking up to find your love's not real Waking up to find your love's not real Waking up to find your love's not real Waking up to find your love's not real [cheers and applause.]
- [laughs.]
The Ruggeds! Okay, so huge trick in the very beginning with three different levels of "What the hell"-- that was great.
My only issue with this performance was the transitions.
We know you've got the big, huge, amazing tricks, but the stuff in the middle falls a little short just for me personally.
Yeah, you got to dance a little in between.
- Sure.
- The ideas are good, you guys have the difficulty level there in the tricks, you're representing your style, but now you got to add that extra little element that separates you from every other B-boy group and also allows you to be on this stage.
Sure.
Thank you.
I agree, but I would say one suggestion as a--a bit of advice.
There was a choreography at the beginning where you guys kind of hitting some moves, and in the--two of the guys in the front like, were not in sync, and it was very evident, so I think moving forward, if you go through, now you just need the finesse, and it's gonna be a fantastic group.
Thank you so much.
hank you.
By the way, the last move-- I was living for the-- - Upside-down yoga? - [laughs.]
- Living for the last move.
I was like, "Beep, beep.
Okay, good.
" All right, we're gonna lock in scores.
Here we go.
We promised that we'd never part Gotta give it some for the tricks, but We carved our names All right, Ruggeds.
You guys need an 80 or higher to get to The Duels.
We had the songs that we sang along to You had the moves to make me dance with you [cheers and applause.]
Catching stars We had the thing that everyone wanted Hung on your sleeve you wore your heart on it Did you get out I'm wondering where you are [cheers and applause.]
We had the songs that we sang along to You had the moves to make me dance with you Congratulations.
Thank you so much.
Again, we see the potential.
We see what y'all can do.
It's yours for the taking, but it's gonna be up to y'all.
That's it.
See you at The Duels.
Did you get out I'm wondering where you are We'll take the commentary from the judges to heart and make that thing a 90.
All: Let's go, let's go, let's go! Oh! Hoo! Hoo! Oh! Oh! I used to break dance, you know.
My name was Baby Lo.
Mine was Heavy D, and I was, like, anything but heavy.
I was about 30 pounds.
[laughs.]
You know what my nickname was? Go-go.
And my mom gave it to me.
Who--who gets their B-boy name from their mom? Like that.
That was me.
[electronic dance music.]
Man, what an absolute pleasure.
That was breathtaking.
Oh, my God, who are you, and where did you come from? All right? This is "World of Dance.
" People from all over the world.
[speaking in Korean.]
- Oh! - The only thing we can do is focus on pursuing the dream.
Why are you crying? I don't know why I'm crying.
["Break A Sweat by Becky G playing.]
Seven, eight, go, go, go.
- I'm Josh.
- And I'm Taylor.
And we're from Alberta, Canada.
I'm 17 and she's 14.
Don't get tired yet Baby break a sweat We have known each other for years.
I think five.
- Yeah, five years.
Throughout those five years, we've trained together at the same studio.
That's why we work so well together.
We have such a good chemistry and bond onstage, and I wanted to show that to the judges.
I need to balance alone now.
I'd describe our relationship as like a brother-and-sister relationship.
Some people have asked us if we're dating, especially on social media.
They're like, #Jaylor.
- Yeah, they're like-- - #Tosh.
- Yeah.
- But Yeah, we're not dating.
- No.
- So Baby break a sweat, break a sweat Baby break a sweat So last year, the juniors tended to score low in creativity, especially from Jennifer.
What are guys gonna do about that today? We have a lot of cool, unique tricks and, uh, visuals that I feel like no one will expect.
I am kind of like a detective, police officer.
Oh, now I see the police badge.
- Yeah? - And she's like, rebel, bad girl-- - I'm a--like, a criminal.
We're--I'm-- excited to see this.
We definitely need to focus on the qualifiers and getting our score past that 80 and even beyond.
[low music.]
Announcer: Taking the stage next [accelerating clapping.]
It's Josh and Taylor.
[cheers and applause.]
[dramatic music.]
["bellyache" by Billie Eilish playing.]
They'll be here pretty soon Looking through the room For the money I'm biting my nails I'm too young to go to jail It's kind of funny - Hey! - Oh! I lost my mind I don't mind Where's my mind Where's my mind Maybe it's in the gutter Maybe it's in The gutter Maybe it's in the gutter Maybe it's in Maybe it's in the gutter Oh! Thought that I'd feel better But now I got a bellyache [cheers and applause.]
- Come on now.
Yeah, guys.
All right.
There we go.
- Wow.
Josh and Taylor.
Okay, two familiar faces.
- Yes.
- Josh from - ImmaBEAST.
- ImmaBEAST last season, and Taylor from - KynTay - From KynTay.
Yes, okay.
- The two little girls.
But you're not little anymore.
- Not at all.
- I just don't stop growing.
I'm watching you and I'm thinking, "This is hip-hop, but it's like an interpretive dance, too.
" It's like - Right? When the two right people kind of come together.
Do you know what I'm saying? And magic happens? It really made me feel like how I felt when I watched Keone and Mari last year.
They have their own thing.
That thing that nobody else has.
These are major phrases, guys.
Yeah, it is, it is.
So don't let me down, okay? Yes.
For sure.
There was a lot of different moments to love, but one of my favorite pieces was just this little ts-ts-ts-ts.
Oh, that was - That little piece right there.
That was sick.
See it's--it's n-- It's small.
It's a head nod, but it was so big in the moment.
That's what it means to be a great performer.
You made every piece of the song mean something.
Thank you.
For me, the creativity, the use of the prop You guys used it from the beginning to the end.
You saw the idea all the way through, and I love that.
Great job.
I can't wait to see what you guys come up with next.
So good.
Thank you so much.
Thank you guys.
We're gonna lock in scores.
You guys ready? Waiting for the time to pass you by Choreography is a 20 for me.
Sick, sick.
I could give 1,000 reasons why Okay, let's see if you made it through to the next round.
You need an 80 or above to make it to The Duels.
And you've got to Make it on your own but I don't wanna grow up We can stay forever young [cheers and applause.]
I could give 1,000 reasons why But you're going And you know that Yeah All you have to do is stay, a minute Just take your time You gotta live up to all that praise now.
Yes, for sure.
I bet you can't do that last move.
- The one through the chair.
- What? I can't fit through that.
I think you could.
[laughs.]
Look how tiny that is.
Okay.
Oh! Oh, God! Oh, God.
Oh! Almost got stuck there.
[cheers and applause.]
[laughs.]
Oh, my God.
Congrats.
- And thank you guys so much.
- Thank you.
- Good job, guys.
- See you at The Duels.
Just take your time The clock is ticking So stay Oh, my God.
How old are they? - Uh, 14 and 17.
- 14-- she's 14.
- Whoa.
- She's 14.
- [laughs.]
You guys are actually physically shaking.
You're like, "I think we're here.
Are we back?" It hasn't hit me yet.
Like, I'm--I'm still on a high from it.
I'm so excited for you guys.
Thank you so much.
Congrats, guys.
Oh, they're so adorable! So where are you guys from? - I'm from Greece.
- And I'm from Estonia.
There is a lot of dances from many other countries.
- Where are you guys from? - From Belarus.
- Really? - And where are you girls from? Both: Iowa.
Iowa.
Wow.
That's in America, right? Both: Yes.
[upbeat music.]
Where are you guys from? Korea? What kind of dance style are you guys mostly in? I do know locking.
[all cheer.]
Don't bring that bad day with you Leave it at the door [all cheer.]
Wow here's an invitation To your sister to your best friend's girl [all cheer.]
[dramatic music.]
Announcer: Next onstage Please welcome Lock N Lol Crew.
[cheers and applause.]
Welcome! [tense music.]
Lock and lol.
Here we go.
[energetic music.]
Hey fellas, are you ready? Yeah! Are you girls ready? - Yeah! - Get down like James Brown.
Ow Come on now, ladies.
Make it funky.
Hey! [vocalizing.]
[vocalizing.]
Let's make it funky tonight Do what you want to do baby [cheers and applause.]
First and foremost, I need the tailor's number, 'cause I love the jackets.
- [laughter.]
- Yes.
[translating into Korean.]
[laughter.]
We have a translator, guys, this year.
- Work that out.
- Hi! This is "World of Dance," which means from all over the world.
[cheers and applause.]
Okay, for me, it was pure entertainment.
[translating.]
You really bought a sense of a show to it.
This guy's a character in the middle, whoever this guy is right here.
Yeah.
[laughs.]
I thought you guys did a really good job, but popping and the locking-- it's like ba, ba, bap, and that's what it is, and, you know, it can get repetitive, and if you're gonna stay in the competition past today, you're gonna have to find really exciting ways to keep that entertainment value rising.
I will say, you definitely made Korea proud on this stage tonight.
Absolutely.
The wardrobe change stood out to me.
I have just one or two small critiques.
As it went, I--it lost a little energy-- f-for me personally.
This is a competition.
This is not-- let me take that back.
This is not a competition.
This is the competition.
It's "World of Dance".
Elevate.
But great job.
The use of formation, the way the ladies were on the outside, and using the color coordination-- I loved it.
The hat tricks You caught the thing with your elbow.
Like, [scatting.]
- Hey! - Hey! Right.
- That's hot.
That's dope.
That was awesome.
I'm a sucker for a hat trick, I gotta admit.
I am.
- But also, the, um, you know, in popping and locking, there's a lot of knee work.
It's not easy, and you guys made it look easy, so congratulations.
I love you guys.
You're great.
I love you, too.
- Yeah, such a treat.
- All right, should we, uh-- should we lock in scores? - Let's do it.
- Yeah.
["All Night" by Icona Pop playing.]
All right, guys, you need an 80 or above to make it through to The Duels.
Good luck.
We always dreamed about this better life This better life We always felt it coming all along Yeah, all along We got the keys to open paradise Yeah, paradise It feels like We could do this all night We could do this all night Congratulations, guys.
You're moving on to the next round! It only gets harder from here, okay? Thank you, thank you! Thank you so much! There's something about crews that I just love.
- Yeah.
- I love that-- when you have more people on stage, you can create more formations and more exciting things can happen.
I agree.
[electronic dance music.]
A moment where you were like a shaman, almost, blessing their booties.
[laughs.]
No shirt, no shoes-- he's a monster.
Here we go.
[laughs.]
I thought she was wearing khakis.
- I'm Michael Dameski.
I'm 22.
I'm from Sydney, Australia, and I'm a contemporary dancer.
[melancholy vocal music.]
I started dancing at the age of ten.
My very first professional job was the lead in "Billy Elliot the Musical," and then in 2014, at the age of 18, I was crowned the winner of Australia's "So You Think You Can Dance.
" That was kind of what propelled my career.
Do you live here now? As soon as "So You Think You Can Dance" finished, I moved here straightaway.
It's been a lifelong dream of mine to be in the United States.
American dream The opportunities in Australia are limited, and if you really want to succeed as a dancer, being in the United States is what's best.
Coming from Australia, I was so established and recognized.
It was like I had to start all over again.
How's it been, auditioning? It's been really hard.
You have to have that thick skin, and you have to have that resilience to keep going.
- Totally.
- There's so many "no's" - Yeah.
But there's always a "yes," and you're meant to be here.
- And you got to believe that there will be.
Oh, I want this for you so much.
Thank you.
I want the American dream I'm completely on my own, and it's not easy, but I'm a fighter, and it's time for me to fight for my purpose here.
The American dream [dramatic music.]
Announcer: Next to hit the stage Is Michael Dameski! All right, Michael.
[cheers and applause.]
All right.
["Mercy" by Shawn Mendes playing.]
Consuming all the air inside my lungs Ripping all the skin from off my bones I'm prepared to sacrifice my life I would gladly do it twice Consuming all the air inside my lungs Ripping all the skin from off my bones I'm prepared to sacrifice my life I would gladly do it twice Oh, please have mercy on me Oh, my God.
Chills.
Take it easy on my heart Even though you don't mean to hurt me You keep tearing me apart Oh! I'm begging you For mercy, mercy Begging you, begging you, please baby I'm begging you for Mercy, mercy Oh, I'm begging you, I'm begging you Yeah [cheers and applause.]
- Wow! - Oh, my God, yeah.
Whoo! Yeah.
- Yeah! - Man.
Who are you, and where did you come from? All right? Where are you from? I'm actually from Sydney, Australia.
- Uh, okay.
- I moved to Los Angeles three years ago.
- How's that like? It's been a little bit hard, but because I love dance so much, I'm--I don't have a plan B.
It's just a plan A, so That's it, baby.
You know what I love? Passion lies at the edge of uncertainty, and so I can see your passion.
It's beautiful, man.
Thank you, guys.
Thank you.
Listen, it was gorgeous.
You see dancers, and then you see dancers that have something extra.
They have this--this quality that feels like they're flying, almost, and that's what you had.
It was really, really beautiful.
The other part that was super exciting to me is that it felt dangerous.
I was like, "Oh, my God, don't break your neck!" [laughter.]
It had a sense of keeping you on the edge of your seat, and there was something really exciting about that, and I think the whole audience felt that.
Thank you so much.
Thank you.
You know, what I loved the most is that it wasn't like-- like boom, right off the top.
As soon as the beat exploded, you exploded.
"Oh, please, have"--pow! - Yeah.
- And it--amazing.
That's how you know somebody that knows musicality, and I gotta say, you don't come on national TV without a shirt and not know that you're a beast, so I--I figured Thank you.
No shirt, no shoes-- he's a monster.
Here we go.
[laughter.]
Man, what an absolute pleasure.
That was unbelievable.
- Thank you.
- Just absolutely breathtaking.
I mean, that swan dive.
Like-- you're floating.
- Oh! - Unbelievable.
The strength that you have, the way-- when you went into a split on your heels like it was nothing Fantastic, brother.
That was exactly what we're looking for on the stage.
- Thank you.
All right, we're gonna lock in scores.
You guys ready? ["Dreamer" by Axwell & Ingrosso playing.]
The technique was gorgeous.
It was like when somebody has something-- that extra thing, that extra talent, that extra, eh, thing.
Wandering in the streets tonight All right, Michael.
Good luck.
When it all counts for something And your pocket's full of nothing Let's get high on believing I can promise you I can promise you I can promise you Yes, I am a dreamer too - Great job.
- Thank you so much.
Congratulations.
I can promise you That dive-- he started over there and landed over here.
Did you notice? - I--I was so scared.
That was some of the highest praise I've heard Jennifer give.
I know.
I believe it, really.
I really hope that I can bring it up for the next round.
All right, we'll see you in The Duels.
He's such a star.
Yes, I am a dreamer too I'm excited to tell you that I am teaming up with "World of Dance" to bring you a brand-new master class series.
We want to keep our connection in this area, right here.
It's unlike anything else out there.
[electronic dance music.]
Check it out at worldofdancemasterclass.
com.
Been excited with all the stuff we've been seeing.
I--I find myself-- like, I want to be harder on the ones that I really feel like could do it good.
Like, I don't want them to miss the opportunity.
Like, "You have an opportunity here.
Don't miss it.
" Announcer: Joining us now [bright Latin music.]
It's LD Dance Company.
Right! Wow.
I love the headdresses.
[cheers and applause.]
["Danza Kuduro" by Don Omar & Lucenzo playing.]
[singing in Portuguese and Spanish.]
Hey! All right! [cheers and applause.]
Wow.
[laughs.]
[trills.]
Guys, great job, great job to start with, all right? I-I have a question.
How--so the gentleman-- the only gentleman in this group, by the way - Yes.
How did you come to be in this group? Well, initially, I was just the drummer, but then, one day, I just decided to Oh.
[laughter.]
There was definitely-- there was, like, a moment where you were like-- like a shaman, almost, like, blessing the booties or something like that.
Yes! It was very ceremonial.
- The spirit of the-- - Can I do something? Wait, wait, wait.
- Wait, where-- What did-- Awes-awes-awesome! [laughs.]
["Danza Kuduro" plays.]
[laughs.]
Somehow, that works on you.
I have a whole new respect for it now.
Yeah, by the way-- because he starts dancing, you guys are dancing [scatting.]
Like, fast, ra, ra! - Yes! - Like, you know, mesmerizing, but I think as far as, you know, moving forward in this competition, there's a-- there's a limited amount of moves, I feel like, that's in this particular style.
[sighs.]
It was good, but is that enough? Well, first of all, I want to say, it was such great energy so high, so-- so much entertainment, but at the same time, there is a level of artistry and creativity that we're used to seeing.
That's what you have to be thinking about right now.
All right, we're gonna lock in our scores and see if you guys are gonna get through to the next round, okay? ["Begging" by Dua Lipa playing.]
Hm, this is a tough one.
It is tough one.
Transitions, cleanliness, mm All of these highs And all of these lows Okay, we've locked in our scores.
Let's see if you guys made it through to the next round.
'Cause all my bones Are begging me to beg for you Begging me to beg For your love All my bones Are begging me to beg For your love Swear I'm gonna hold your head up - Thank you very much.
- Thank you guys so much for gracing our stage with your samba.
It was a really beautiful performance.
Thank you guys.
Thank you.
All my bones Are begging me to beg Once they started, the crowd responded, but then, after a while, it was like-- No, 'cause it's colorful and beautiful and fast and energetic, but it's-- its' limited, I think.
Okay, what's left? Are we juniors? Are we uppers? What are we-- what are we doing right now? Whoa! Hi, guys.
All: Hello! Where are you from? All: Hawaii.
Hawaii? All: Aloha.
We're the Rascals! Miracle, miracle, miracle I love being a part of the Rascals because I love all of these people.
All: Aww.
Take me home Yeah, take me home Living in Hawaii really makes us grateful for what we have, but there's not really that many dance opportunities for us.
Oh we can fly with the cannonballs We don't really have that much money to travel, so we can only afford to go to one competition every year.
We are the children of a miracle We do know we only have one shot, which makes it even more nerve-wracking, but we have to just go on that stage and give it our all.
Miracle, miracle It's really special because not most 9-year-olds have this opportunity to be on this competition.
[sniffs.]
It's okay, baby.
You've got it.
[sniffs.]
We want to make Hawaii and all of our families really proud of us.
Miracle, miracle, miracle, miracle [cheers and applause.]
Announcer: Taking the stage next it's Rascals.
[electronic musical crescendo.]
[cheers and applause.]
There you go.
There you go.
Little mama in the middle.
[laughs.]
Travis Barker Yeah Let's go, yeah Let's go, let's go, let's go, let's go Let's go, let's go, let's go, let's go Take another minute just to give everybody a movie And hit them with another elbow Let me get up, everybody On your mark so you ready, Let's go Wow Everybody know that I'ma come and I'ma go Then I gotta do What I be coming in to do Keys to the ignition let's step on the gas Let's go, Keys to the ignition Let's step on the gas Ah, hey Let's go, let's go, let's go, let's go Let's go, let's go, let's go, let's go Let's go, let's go, let's go, let's go Let's go, let's go, let's go, let's go Let's go, let's go, let's go, let's go Yeah.
Okay.
That's what I'm talking about.
I have to say, shot out of a cannon.
Like [imitates explosion.]
Seriously.
Your personality: off the charts.
The transitions: beautiful.
You guys were clean.
You executed it great.
Good job.
Congratulations.
- Whoo! - Thank you! You guys are so adorable, and there's so much, I don't know, love and excitement for what you do.
I would say one thing, because you are in a very big competition, you have to take some of that adrenaline calm it down, and be super in control when you come out here.
You know? So if you go through to the next round, you're gonna have to get more polished as you go.
Okay? - Thank you.
Okay.
Thank you.
I loved the energy from the second you guys touched the stage.
The little mama in the middle is just all firecracker right here.
[cheers and applause.]
- Let's go! Let's go! - Yeah, man.
How old are you, little mama? I'm--I'm nine years old.
Baby Why are you crying? Actually I have-- don't know why I'm crying.
[laughter.]
It's okay, it's okay.
- It's all right.
It's adrenaline, baby.
You good.
Yes, that's what it is.
Listen, guys, great job.
We're gonna lock in scores, guys.
Here we go.
Let's go, guys! I've been staring at the edge of the water Was so cute.
I can remember Never really knowing why We have it? - Yes.
- All right.
All right, Rascals, let's see how you did.
See the line where the sky meets the sea It calls me And no one knows How far it goes If the wind in my sail On the sea stays behind me One day I'll know If I go, there's just no telling How far I'll go We did it! Good job, Rascals.
Precious little babies.
That little island's got some big-- - Yeah.
- Heart.
Big energy.
Big--big heart.
- Big heart.
What'd I tell you, kid? What'd I tell you? [electronic dance music.]
You guys were clean.
You guys were together.
You guys smashed it.
[spacey electronic music.]
- I'm Max.
- I'm Phoenix.
My name's Dominic.
And we are the All: Elektro Botz.
[music slows down.]
Could you show me, like, one robotics pose? You kind of cup your hands and then you kind of just rotate at just the joints.
- [gasps.]
- So just wrist You guys, I feel like a Barbie.
Is that the point? - Also have, like, a straight face.
Like, no emotion.
And also wide eyes.
There you go.
- Yeah.
Robotics is all that we think about.
Our dream is to put on shows, because we love to tell stories.
- What is your story tonight? Uh, well, the piece is actually a tribute for my mom, who passed away last year.
So the song's, like, a big connection to our childhood.
- Oh, that's beautiful.
Yeah.
Last year in April, my mom passed away from cancer, so ever since then, it's been real difficult.
I mean Last year took a toll on me But I made it with you next to me She was always very supportive of us She would drive me around everywhere.
If we got an audition, she would come, and I'd always be like, "Mom, why are you here? You're embarrassing me," but she just-- she loved to be there, and I know she would love to be here, and she'd be very proud.
She was the best.
But I can't do this alone Sometimes I just need a light If I call you on the phone I'm sorry.
So when your tears roll down Your pillow like a river I'll be there for you We all love his mother.
The only thing we can do is really focus on pursuing the dream that she helped us chase.
My mom just loved art, and I'm not gonna let that die ever.
Announcer: Make some noise [cheers and applause.]
And welcome to the stage Elektro Botz! [electronic musical crescendo.]
[cheers and applause.]
Let's go, Botz! ["Fireflies" by Owl City playing.]
Hey.
You would not believe your eyes If 10 million fireflies Lit up the world as I fell asleep 'Cause I get 1,000 hugs From 10,000 lightning bugs As they try to teach me how to dance Everything is never as it seems I like to make myself believe That planet Earth Turns slowly It's hard to say that I'd rather stay awake When I'm asleep [distorted.]
Everything Is never as it seems When I fall asleep I'd like to make myself believe [music slows down.]
- Wow! - Okay, yeah.
[cheers and applause.]
Man.
Okay.
All right.
All right.
- Elektro Botz.
- That's exactly what they are.
That's exactly what it is.
You are Elektro Botz.
I would not be shocked if someone, like, cut your arm and wires came out.
I wouldn't be shocked at all.
- [laughs.]
It would totally make sense.
You know what I loved about this? There was personality.
You know, in-- in the robot stuff, you normally don't get a lot of personality, but, like, your facial expressions kind of made it more than just--than just robotic.
It made it more human, which I love.
I--I thought it was amazing.
Thought it was amazing.
Thank you so much.
First of all, it was so narrative.
I was like, "Oh, he's a robot, "and he's powered by the two of them.
"Oh, and they--it's-- it's almost like Transformers.
"Oh, they're doing this.
Oh, he's now-- oh, now he's the operator.
" You guys smashed it.
Loved.
- Thank you so much.
Um, first of all, that first opening move right there.
I mean, when h-- - And the conveyor belt? Yeah, way to hook the audience.
Way to hook us.
- The--the human conveyor belt.
- Yes.
The separation in your movement was crystal clear.
You guys were clean.
You guys were together.
Um, the moment when you were-- you were hiding it at the transition where you were doing a flare, in the front while he did a back flip and landed over your face On either side of his f--yeah.
I don't trust any of my friends that much.
Has that ever g-- has that ever gone wrong? - Uh - Sometimes, I'm sketch about it, to be honest.
Yeah, 'cause it's your face.
[laughs.]
For me personally, I think that that-- that last visual, that moment is it a bzh I think there could've been a little more something else there.
Maybe the guy in the middle could've done something a little bit more visual, perhaps, but overall, it was a really, really strong performance.
Well done.
- Awesome.
- Thank you.
- Very well done.
All right, we're gonna lock in our scores.
Good luck, guys.
Help me It's like the walls are caving in Cleanliness Sometimes I feel like giving up Musicality was off the charts.
Yeah.
Crowd clearly loved it.
All right, I'm--I'm good.
All right, Elektro Botz.
You need an 80 or better to get to The Duels.
Let's see how you did.
It's like the walls are caving in No medicine is strong enough Someone help me I'm crawling in my skin Sometimes I feel like giving up But I just can't It isn't in my blood It isn't in my blood Great job, guys.
Tonight was for my mom.
I know if she saw that, she would've lost her mind, so - She would've loved it.
- Just really happy.
- Yeah, definitely.
That is what this competition is about.
I'm in.
I loved it.
That's what dancing can do.
It isn't in my blood [percussive music.]
